I can't deny that there's a part of me that's absolutely delighted that each time Bruce unjustly went after Jason, the Batkids responded in kind.
This isn't my ideal version of the Batfam, but it does warm my heart seeing Jason's siblings stand up for him.

The new Ego names according to my brother.

on some level im definitely a little resentful that I can't enjoy astarion in wider casual spaces without it being labeled as some sort of "oh you're one of those astarion girlies obsessed with that fuckable twink" thing, like it's the shallowest preference i could possibly have
and it's such a frustrating mindset especially considering the whole reason I ended up identifying with him so much is because of the way his character arc addressed the concept of being seen as desirable after a traumatic event, and finding comfort in actually reclaiming that for yourself. And how seeking and enjoying sex and feeling sexually confident doesn't cheapen or invalidate what happened to you, and can actually be very healing
But I just hate how that always gets broken down into something insulting and derogatory by the kind of ppl you'll see on twitter or reddit or irl

How do I explain this? (Spoilers for Enstars Sanctuary story)
Sanctuary is the story of a guy who woke up in a strange world with weird looking monsters and empty streets with a guy who was his former theatre club president. Except the theatre club president (implied to be a bit of a cryptid except this world definitely has no magic) had somehow mentally regressed back to his five-year-old self, which is fine because he's a genius, and now the guy and his former club president have to deal with this strange place together. But the side story is that two of his friends are being shown around what is basically a cult disguised as an amusement park to indoctrinate people into believing they can become idols and apply to work in that industry. And there's also another side story in which the guy's other friend is being harassed by a middle aged man who's kidnapped their goddess, basically, and is also the mastermind behind the overarching plot in the villainous sense. Also, the former theatre club president's new team, specifically that team's leader, is perpetuating the idol cult because he's got a twisted obsession with idols and believes that to farm them is the only way they won't be discouraged by those with exceptional talent and skill.
But in reality, this is just the story of a lonely teenager who could only find a little bit of freedom to express his abandoned child self in a messed up system that another teenager (who is very smart but just doesn't understand human relationships) created because he cares about nothing but in reality cares about everything and perpetuates a cycle of constant destruction to keep his one obsession alive.
But even further than that, Sanctuary and the whole SS ARC is just a story of a bunch of high schoolers/recent high school graduates who want to sing getting tangled up in a very dangerous mafia-esque world and sometimes realizing that they should call the police or some law reinforcement but forgetting to do so every. single. time.

Qilby is such a well written villain, like the more you think about his backstory the more your like… damn…
Because imagine, you and your siblings are essentially Demi-gods who come back to life when you dïe. You live on the same planet repeating many things until it becomes normal. You’ve done everything there is to do and know everything there is to know. The same routine, to the point where you can predict your siblings personalities and the actions of people.
Because unlike your siblings, every time you are reincarnated you still remember. You remember every time you and your loved ones have dïed. You remember everything about everyone and your planet. For thousands and thousands of years. To the point it drives you mad. Because you are the researcher. The one who writes history and the one who explores and craves knowledge. But you have lived mentally for hundred thousands and possibly even more years until everything is mind numbing. And your siblings don’t understand. They don’t remember. They dïe and live again but they forget. And you don’t.
So obviously your next course of action would be to leave your planet. To go to other worlds and explore. And the thing is Qilbi could have done that. He could have made a smaller ship to leave for him and Shinonome. Could have gotten the knowledge he craved. And so it doesn’t make sense you think. He could have left any time he wanted. He had the mind and the materials to leave In peace. So why did he start a war? To force his people to flee their home planet and destroy it in the process? To have to sacrifice the lives of so many Eliatropes? To the point that even after they reached the world of twelve and the same entire thing happened. To the point he started a war twice. Just to go explore again. Trying to destroy their second home in the process because he’s already done everything there is to do there now too. Of course the difference being the second time he was caught. But why? Why go through all the effort to bring your people who clearly don’t want to leave and just live their lives in peace.
And it’s just like Yugo said, because deep down Qilbi’s biggest fear is being alone. Because he’s already isolated enough from his knowledge and mind. He just wanted people around him. To share his accomplishments or new discoveries with others and to not feel lonely all the time. Because I think deep down he does care for the eliatrope people. And even more so for his siblings. Even if the council of 6 didn’t understand him he still loves them. He remembers when they were the only ones on their planet. Before they started governing and leading the eliatrope people and dragons. He grew up with them over and over again. He watched his civilization grow. Watched them learn with him Until they were at their highest peak. But after such a long time he eventually learnt everything there was to know. Qilbi has a thirst for knowledge. He wanted to learn more, to discover more and see beyond their world.
But he didn’t want to do it alone. And now he’s facing the punishment for his actions. In a white void with no time or space, alone, for all eternity.

hey pee boy how do you plan to take over thw government with just america
if you ever call me that again I will have your tongue cut out
*glory snaps, glaring at you with obvious anger*
*he crosses his arms, determined to not speak again until you leave*
And you mean world. not government
*he adds, a few minutes later*
...
it's actually quite simple
*he begins to explain*
all I really need to do is become the leader of some semi important country, in order to gain access to those in power. then Ill be able to work my magic upon them and so gain control of their lands as well
as for why the united states, its status as a supposed superpower helps to spreading my influence faster and its excessively large military will be useful in subduing any nations that resist
*he smiles*
of course, now that Ive told you all that, I cant simply let you tell everyone
Youll have to end up as yet another missing persons case.. how sad.

Now that I've had time to get into it, I think the Sa.tan ship in NB is pretty non-functioning. At least not in the current stages of the game.
He's completely different from the original, which is perfectly understandable. It'd be weird if he wasn't. That doesn't change the fact I fcking love him tho. I like him just as much as he is in NB as I do in the original.
The issue is I don't think my s/i would pursue romance with him at this time. He does need love and support, and my s/i is willing to do that, but a full-blown romantic relationship is out of the question. He has more important, personal things to work through first.

I'm really excited about Taehyung and his album, and I will def listen and hope it's good and artistic, but whyyy does he get five MVs and a visual album when Jimin wanted the same and wasn't allowed 😓 this is no way hate on Tae, he deserves to express himself whichever way he wants!! This is on HYBE's marketing strategies. Unless Tae funded the videos himself... But nope, I am still mad at HYBE. BTS made them billions.
yes im excited too! but i cant lie and say it wasnt like . the first thing i thought abt when i saw he'd be getting that many mvs 😭 i think you might be right tho about layover potentially being more of an independent project, bcs the differences are definitely not a budget thing, probably more of just a shareholders/return thing. now that i think about it, given how restrictive hybe/bighit have been with tae's independent musical direction, maybe that's why he's working with min heejin? since even though she's under hybe, she runs their sub-agency ador. i dont know how this would work contractually rly im not an expert at all when it comes to the business side of these things....but it makes sense to me that the promotion so far + the music videos + sound is very different from bighit because of this. i wouldnt be surprised either if the mvs arent a lumpens production since, like with more and arson seem to have been, might also be outsourced.
