Batkids Age Reversal List
want to do a age reversal AU for the batkids but why do the comics keep fucking up their ages this has taken me weeks of trying to figure out i’m gonna off the DC comic writers. if you have any better ideas for their ages pls let me know im going to gouge my eyes out if i have to do any more math.
alfred: ???
-immortal. fuck you. he looked death in the face and told him to stop tracking mud all over his freshly mopped floors and that dinner was at eight.
bruce: 39
-had damian at eighteen bc i wanted it to be as close to his age gap with dick in canon as possible but i am not having this man fathering a child at 15
damian: 21
-came to gotham at age 8, refused to be a normal kid bc he was literally raised an assassin and bruce doesn’t know how to encourage nonviolent activities in children so letting him fight crime seemed… better than being an assassin. he, at the age of eight, could not come up with a name that wasn’t fucking Terrifying so whenever gordon asked for his “little shadow”‘s name they were suspiciously silent bc no, damian, you can not call yourself Vengeance or Malice. the media called him shadow and it stuck.
duke: 18
-wanted to keep his age gap with tim similar, but with duke being the older one, instead of doing dick and jason’s age gap bc it makes more sense this way.
-his parents got jokerified when he was 12, and so did a Lot of people in the Narrows. it absolutely decimated their little community so duke became signal. he didn’t fight crime, he gave back to his community, he helped with the cleanup. bruce ended up basically kidnapping the poor kid. (duke ran away from his foster home because he wasn’t a glorified babysitter or maid, fuck you, he can crash on couches.)
STEPH: 16
-again, wanted to keep the age gap between steph and tim the same but keeping steph the older one. makes more sense this way!! leave me alone.
-became spoiler at 13, was only spoiler for a year before she became shadow at 14 for about six months in between damian and jason. there was a six month period as well where bruce didn’t have a shadow and alfred literally had to bribe steph to be shadow bc he wasn’t abt to let a kid run around the gotham night without knowing batman was two steps ahead of them. plus, having a kid with him made bruce more cautious.
TIM: 15
-FINALLY got to mimicking the age gap between dick and jason in canon
-never becomes shadow, actually, he takes bab’s spot as their computer wiz. doesn’t call himself oracle though because he fucking sucks at making names. calls himself override (barf).
-also, steph is the only one who hes told he’s override to and also knows the batfam’s identities
-duke knows tim is override bc he’s scary like that!! tim doesn’t know duke knows he’s override, but duke knows that tim knows their identities and tim Also doesn’t know that. duke is fr terrifying. love him.
-tim figured out the batfam because of duke’s meta abilities bc he’s also scary like that
Jason: 14
-oh, he’s… currently out of commission. became shadow at 12.
-didn’t die in ethiopia, because fuck that plot. he was doing a stakeout but the joker had kidnapped this itty little baby (an eight year old boy) who he found running around the gotham night. jason went out of commission saving that little boy. what does out of commission mean? who knows. could be dead. could be severely injured. kidnapped. the possibilities are endless.
-i think it’s fucked that the comic fans voted for a fifteen year old to die by the joker. y’all are crazy.
cass: 13
-mimicking jason and cass’ age gap with cass being younger bc it makes more sense leave me alone
-isn’t a Batman approved shadow (yet) but she shadows batman anyways after jason’s… indisposed. the bonus is that batman doesn’t Know he has a shadow but gotham is kept in the dark abt shadow being (redacted) because cass and jason had the same exact fucking build, okay, jason hasn’t gotten his growth spurt yet (because of childhood malnutrition) . weird how batman lost weight though, after he went on that rage incident after the latest arrest of the joker. he’s leaner now. (is it the same batman? who knows.)
dick: 8
-mimicking the tim and damian age gap, bc it’s six years in my head leave me alone.
-huh, jason went out of commission saving an eight year old and dick is eight… suspicious. coincidence? hm.
babs: 7
-mimicking the babs and dick age gap but with babs being younger bc i think she’s older in canon? unsure. DC please i’m going to kill you and then me.

Quick rambling because pspsps this is so true (delulu is my solulu)
This morning, I came up with an idea: a single dad university lecturer teaching philosophy—Aizen Sosuke—and a computer science student, Q, who signed up for this elective course.
Basically, Q moves into a new rental home, only to unexpectedly end up as Aizen’s neighbor without realizing it. After attending the first class, he suddenly goes, “Wait, my neighbor is the lecturer for this course I just signed up for?” From there, the story develops further.
Aizen is a single dad who adopted Gin for some reason (Aizen and Gin just have that dad-son dynamic to me). In this AU, Gin is probably a high school student (I pick the reference from the key visual novel game Bleach Highschool Warfare)—a genius-level kid who gets top grades but is constantly breaking school rules and picking fights. And yet, Aizen turns a blind eye to everything, as long as Gin keeps his grades up. Q, on the other hand, is always grumbling internally about their situation: “A father who’s a teacher, while his kid burns the rulebook,” even though he himself wasn’t much better back in the day. In the manga, Gin is a genius that Aizen nurtures for his plan, so the single-dad Aizen setting fits perfectly. Plus, Aizen used to teach at the Shin’o Academy in the Soul Society, so his role as a university lecturer makes complete sense to me.
(Here is Gin from the game)
Tumblr media
Q, on the other hand, is the CompSci valedictorian—top of his class—who leans more toward self-studying than structured learning. He’s the type to show up for roll call and then leave, often heading to a billiards hall or somewhere similar. One day, after signing in and planning to skip class to play pool, he ends up bumping into Aizen in the elevator. Somehow, from heading to the billiards hall, Q suddenly finds himself in Aizen’s office instead. Aizen, of course, is the hot, intelligent, and sophisticated lecturer everyone admires on campus. So when Q hangs out in Aizen’s office, it’s inevitable that a few students will drop by, using excuses to talk to him. But then they see this compsci valedictorian sitting there, casually drinking all the tea in their professor’s office. Some female students, hoping to flirt with Aizen, are immediately met with the sight of this ominous presence occupying the room.
As the story progresses, Q ends up having meals at Aizen’s house (you know how cooking is tiring for someone who's living alone). Aizen is a decent cook, favoring light and healthy dishes (since, in the manga, he liked tofu and disliked eggs when he's still in Gotei 13, so I headcanon his taste as leaning toward subtle and clean flavors). Usually, Aizen cooks while Q handles the cleanup. At first, Gin is super snarky and sarcastic toward Q, but Q is just as sharp-tongued. Over time, it evolves into playful banter—kind of like those stepmom/stepchild dynamics but much more lighthearted. Eventually, Q stops being scared of the “little snake” because he’s already got the “big snake” wrapped around his finger lmao.
Yes, I do call Aizen-Gin duo as the snake family, change my mind if you can.

Raymond Reddington is a great example of an evil character working with good characters
Tumblr media
Raymond "Red" Reddington (played by James Spader) is the primary protagonist of the show The Blacklist. He is a notorious criminal who turns himself into the FBI (in amazing style, walking in and giving his name and asking to speak to Assistant Director for Counterterrorism Harold Cooper, then assuming the position to be cuffed while they look him up).
Once in front of Cooper, Red basically pitches the premise of the show- he has a list of criminals that he offers to help the FBI pursue, criminals that span the world and are so good at what they do, the FBI doesn't even know about them. Each episode (or occasional two parter) is about another one of these criminals who Red tells the task force about.
He's not gone soft or turned a new leaf of anything, tho, he is still a cold blooded killer who makes frequent use of his many criminal contacts and isn't interested in playing by the FBI's rules. He is in fact using the task force to his own ends and has made the case to the task force that he's more useful when he has his autonomy and cover, that they can't do anything with the names he gives them if he isn't allowed to "keep up appearances."
Red is a very nuanced portrayal of a cold blooded, ruthless criminal. He has loved ones, such as his assistant and heavy Dembe Zuma, whom he rescued from a life of child slavery, whether as a sex slave or child soldier, and he shows genuine care for Elizabeth Keene, who is essentially his handler in his roll as a criminal informant, and Mr. Kaplan, an older woman (and a lesbian) who runs body disposal and evidence cleanup for Red. It is clear that Red sees his closest associates as some form of family.
And if that bond is betrayed, well, he is still a ruthless criminal and has certain ideas about how things should go. The surest way to end up dead is to get in his way (actually, rather than whatever way he assumed you would as part of his Xanatos gambit).
The task force he works with are broadly characters I would place as good-aligned in D&D- Lawful Good, by the book, stick up his ass hero field agent Donald Ressler, Neutral Good, emotions on his sleeve computer specialist Aram Mojtebai, "somewhere in the intersection of Chaotic Good and Chaotic Neutral" profiler with a heart of gold but circumstances of shit Liz Keene, and Neutralish Good leaning Chaotic or Lawful from situation to situation team dad Assistant Director for Counterterrorism Harold Cooper, but also with True Neutral agent on loan from the CIA Meera Malik and Neutral *Something* Mossad Agent on loan Samar Navabi.
Samar and Meera do their share of questionable or outright immoral things, but mostly in that 24-style of "if I don't do this bad thing, innocents could die". Tho, Meera cheerfully informs a suspect in her first episode what the difference between FBI and CIA is, namely, that she's allowed to prod at the open wound on his leg to get him to talk.
But Raymond is the Big Evil Teammate. Meera will take advantage of a suspect's wounds to get information. Samar's specialty in Mossad is actually torture, and has on occasion pulled a "do what you want with him." But Raymond has a torture specialist on speed dial and is pretty quick with summary executions with no feelings of regret.
But the Task Force works with him because he largely targets criminals with his own crimes and he's useful.
He is a perfect example of the evil teammate, which some of the good guys even like (or at least have respect for)

Small Rarebit basics to start your webcomic site
pt 2
Part 1
At this point you can edit either you index page or your style css file (located in your css folder) to continue customizing your site.
I’m going to start by editing the index to change the fonts displayed on it:
Tumblr media
Neocities editor is very good imo, its what I used for the site but if you know of other editors you can use them as well, you can even use the default notepad in your computer to edit both htm and css!
Once you click edit on your index you will see this:
Tumblr media
All the rarebit files have commentaries in them to guide you on what they do, isn’t that cool? In the neocities editor you can recognize them because they are colored in gray.
- Where to find a font
I use google fonts for this, just look a font and see if it’s available in there
Google fonts link
lets see, for this guide I will use,
Tumblr media
Pangolin, because I think they are cute
Tumblr media
Look
After you’ve chosen the font you want you click, get font, then get embed code
Tumblr media
You will get these two codes:
Tumblr media
Now lets go back to the index.html file that is being edited, you will paste the first code in the <head> area
Tumblr media
after being pasted:
Tumblr media
You can leave it like this, but you can also clean the code a bit, since we wont be needing the cherry cream soda font (unless you want to keep it) you can delete it.
You may notice the similarities in the code being pasted with the one that’s already there, thats the code that will be replaced, you can edit the commentary as well to reflect the font you used.
After cleanup:
Tumblr media
I don’t know why theres that cross there… but it works.
This is step one of changing the font on your index, now we have to move to the CSS file for the rest.
Inside the CSS folder you will find a style file, edit that
Tumblr media
Just like the HTML pages the CSS File has commentaries on how they work.
Tumblr media
This is the fonts area.
Right now the one I’m going to change is the header font, where the links for the other areas of the site are, the body font is the one that will display on the commentaries and the rest of the site, the current font is ok so I’m leaving it like that but if you want to change it for another you can do so.
Tumblr media
This is the code that I will use here and its going to replace the current #showcomic one, ends up like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now it looks like this, your CSS file is where you can modify most of the appearance in your site, like the color of the background, font color, link color, etc, the style file has commentary about what each section does.
Speaking of background color, it can be done in here:
Tumblr media
To change colors you just have to look what their hexcodes are and replace the one that is already there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Getting there
By the way, if you don’t like the underlining on the links in the header, you can remove that, to do so you have to add this line in the “a” section of the style.css file
Tumblr media
text-decoration: none;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now your links are no longer underlined.
This is it for part two, in the next part we will see how to upload the comics to the site.
Rarebit Credits:
Rarebit site

oc/writing asks for reblog courtesy! whichever WIP you've worked on most recently
The Scream, American Gothic, Guernica, Creation of Adam, and The Last Supper
Thanks for the ask my dude :) answering for The Ego Hypothesis: The Scream: are there any moments in this work that you think could scare a reader? Are there any moments where the characters themselves are profoundly scared?
-> Any scene that involves Ego overheating is what comes to mind for the most overtly scary scenes for the reader and the characters off the top of my head. However, Ego's first time being in a driving car absolutely terrified it.
American Gothic: what's one relationship between characters in this work that you think people wouldn't expect? (i.e., how the people in American Gothic are not married, they're the painter's sister and dentist)
-> Jin and Rinnah have a patient-neurologist relationship. Rinnah also dated Isaac's sister pre-story. I think the character relationships in this story are relatively straight forward and semi-predictable, but I think I've just spiced some up.
Guernica: look through a few of your imagery/descriptions in this work. Are they generally straightforward, or are they more "abstract"?
-> While I try to make certain things straightforward instead of needlessly wordy, I absolutely love abstract and vivid imagery. Going to go ahead and post a quote here that I'm proud of:
The first time he’d seen a corpse was when the old beggar man on the side of the road due west of his childhood home fell over dead in the night. He had remained there at the cross streets all morning, as those who saw his body had looked away and gone on to wherever they needed to be instead. The summer heat had facilitated a rancid, rotting stench, and there had even been some concern from his mother about whether or not he had contaminated the water before the insects and cleanup crews got to him. Jin tried to picture [XXX] like that- bloated and discolored, rigid and soft in all the worst places. The scientist only succeeded in making himself ill.
Creation of Adam: choose one character that is not present at the beginning of this work. How did you introduce them into the story?
-> Most of the characters in this story are introduced fairly early on, but Andrew doesn't come in until towards the end of Chapter 2. He sort of just,, stumbles in on Jin being insane (he proceeds to ask this poor computer science student to do brain surgery on him at like 3 in the morning). Hashtag just intern things.
The Last Supper: does this fic incorporate any symbolism based on religion, theology, or mythology? If so, give an example.
-> ohoho YES, absolutely. The work is very inspired by the concept of "God became Man so that Man might become God". There is also a scene where a theology professor and an integrated intelligence basically have pillow talk about religion. You know that Creation of Adam-inspired picture with the robot hand reaching out to the human one? That's the spotify playlist cover for this work. Can you tell I love theology and religious themes?
Thanks so much for the ask! Keep 'em coming, guys :)

Why Your Computer Gets Slower Over Time — And What You Can Do About It
Tumblr media
Ever wondered why a computer that once felt lightning-fast now takes forever to load? You're not alone. Over time, every computer tends to slow down. Whether it’s an older machine or a fairly new one, the frustration is real. Understanding why this happens is the first step to fixing it—and even preventing it.
In this guide, we’ll explore the most common causes of slow PCs and what you can do to bring them back up to speed. If you’re looking for more in-depth solutions, don’t miss our full guide on how to speed up a slow computer.
1. Hidden Bloat and Startup Programs
You install a cool new app today. Then another one next week. Eventually, your system is packed with software—some of which you don’t even remember downloading. Many of these programs run in the background, especially at startup, slowing down your boot time and eating up system resources.
💡 Quick Fix:
Open Task Manager and check the Startup tab.
Disable apps you don’t need launching at startup.
Uninstall programs you no longer use.
2. Running Low on Disk Space
A nearly full hard drive can really hurt your PC's performance. Windows needs free space to manage system files and temporary data. When your drive is full, everything slows down—searches, app launches, and even basic file browsing.
🧹 What to Do:
Delete junk files and downloads.
Use Disk Cleanup or Storage Sense (on Windows 10).
Empty the Recycle Bin regularly.
This small habit can significantly speed up your machine.
3. Malware and Background Apps
Malware isn’t just a security risk—it’s a major performance killer. Even if your PC isn’t showing obvious signs of infection, malicious software could be silently running, using up memory and CPU power.
🔐 Recommended Actions:
Run a full system scan with Windows Defender or Malwarebytes.
Check for browser extensions that might be slowing down your web activity.
Avoid downloading cracked software or files from unknown sources.
Just keeping your PC clean can make a huge difference in speed and stability.
4. Outdated Hardware or Drivers
Sometimes, it’s not the software—it’s the hardware. If you’re still running on a traditional hard drive, switching to an SSD can make your computer feel brand new. Also, missing or outdated drivers can cause hiccups that slow everything down.
⚙️ Upgrade Ideas:
Upgrade to SSD if you're using an HDD.
Add more RAM if your system is lagging with multiple open tabs.
Update your graphics and chipset drivers regularly.
5. How to Keep Your Computer Fast (Even After Years)
Maintaining a fast PC isn’t just about fixing problems—it’s about building healthy tech habits. A few minutes of monthly maintenance can go a long way.
✅ Pro Tips:
Restart your computer at least once a week.
Keep your system and apps updated.
Schedule regular cleanups using built-in tools.
For a more advanced, step-by-step guide, check out our full article on how to speed up a slow computer. It includes expert-level tips tailored for Windows 10 users.
Final Thoughts
Computers slow down for a lot of reasons—but that doesn’t mean you have to live with it. Now that you know what causes the lag, you can take smart steps to keep your system running smoothly. Whether it’s clearing space, upgrading hardware, or simply restarting more often, every small action adds up.

How eBook Conversion Expands Your Audience!
Tumblr media
In this age of digitization, when digital content enjoys popularity than ever before, eBooks are a powerful marketing tool for businesses, authors, and educators. When converting printed books, documents, or other text files into eBooks, they may be read by many others beyond your company's or target market. eBook conversion is one important activity to consider as the method that can change anything.
In this blog, we'll go over the basics of eBook conversion, why it’s important, and how it can help grow your brand.
What is eBook Conversion?
eBook conversion is the process wherein the content is first transferred from one format- it may be a Word document or a printed book-and then transformed into a digital format for reading on an eReader, a tablet, and other devices. The eBook formats that are currently in vogue include:
EPUB: A flexible, widely used format that works on different screen sizes and in most of the eReaders.
MOBI: Designed for Amazon Kindle devices and compatible with Kindle apps.
PDF: Good for documents that require original layout but not good for smaller screens.
It's not just saving it as an eBook format because the text, images, and formatting all have to be tweaked so that an eBook is both aesthetically pleasing and works flawlessly across different devices; this is what professional eBook conversion services take care of, making the final product smooth and polished.
Tumblr media
Why is eBook Conversion Important?
eBooks are definitely the need for anyone who is interested in sharing knowledge or spreading the word about a brand since people turn more and more to digital devices for reading and learning.
Wider Audience Reach
eBooks can reach your content to any reader around the world. Anyone can download an eBook anywhere, anytime, making it easy to get to customers, clients, or readers through space.
Cost-Effective Publishing
Printing and distributing real books is going to cost a pretty penny. eBooks do not require printing, then shipping; thus costs and resources are saved since it has only been converted. It can be sold and shared with the online for the long run while saving some penny.
Environmentally Friendly
eBooks are eco-friendly as they don’t have paper, ink or transportation. Going digital is a sustainable choice for business and author alike helping to conserve natural resources and reduce the overall environmental impact.
Enhanced User Experience
eBooks also include, above and beyond these links, embedded video and quick search functionality that ensures a book is more accessible and more fun to read and navigate. These extras help keep readers engaged and deliver much greater value than in traditional print formats.
Easy Access to Information
Because all eBooks can be accessed with multiple devices, such as phones, tablets, and eReaders, besides computers, it means they can take your content from anywhere, which makes sticking to your brand or your message easier.
Better Data Collection
The other good quality, I consider, is the ability to track data on digital content: that way, you can monitor downloads, reading time, and behavior by readers. It gives insights about what your audience is interested in, and that will make the future content even more relevant.
Steps in the eBook Conversion Process
Converting a book or a document into an eBook is a process of many steps so that it will not only look good but work fine on all the devices. Here’s a basic overview:
Format Selection: Choose the best of eBook format depending upon your content and target audience (EPUB – flexible eBook, MOBI for Kindle users or PDF for fixed layout eBook).
Content Cleanup: Get rid of any formatting problems, mickey mouse characters or irrelevant bits and pieces that might make the eBook tricky to take in.
Styling and Layout: You can adjust the fonts, images, tables and more to make it clean, consistent look.
Testing and Quality Control: Try the eBook on different devices and eReaders so that it is displayed and easy to navigate correctly.
Distribution: When an eBook is converted, it can be uploaded to sites like Amazon Kindle, Apple Books or directly on your website.
Tumblr media
Benefits of Professional eBook Conversion Services
You can try to do tool eBook conversion by yourself but hire a professional service for this purpose because it saves time and make the final product of eBook better. Here’s why:
Precision and Accuracy: They can afford to handle complex formatting in such a way that everything is displayed perfectly on all devices.
Speed and Efficiency: eBook conversion experts can complete the process more quickly than someone without experience, allowing you to get your content to market faster.
Enhanced User Experience: That’s right, professionals know what images and links you should optimize to have that better reading experience for your audience.
Technical Support: A professional service will handle any formatting or distribution issues quickly, thus saving you hassle and delivering a smooth release.
Conclusion
With digital taking over the world today, eBooks have become a smart investment for business, authors, and teachers. Converting content to eBook format opens avenues that can reach wider masses with reduced costs while still enjoying an improved audience experience. Whether you are trying to publish a book or to share training materials, offering resources to customers in eBooks ensures that your content reaches and engages your audience much more easily.

Hacked WordPress Website Repair & Clean Up Service
Tumblr media
When you hear the words "hacked website," your heart probably skips a beat, right? Especially if that website is your WordPress site, the hub of your online business, blog, or brand. Getting hacked can feel like a nightmare—sleepless nights, panic about your visitors’ safety, and concern about potential damage to your reputation and income.
In this post, I’ll explain how a professional Hacked WordPress Website Repair & Clean Up Service can save you tons of stress, time, and potential losses. Even if you're a seasoned WordPress user, this guide can help you understand the urgency of repairing a hacked site and why expert help might be your best bet.
Why WordPress Sites Get Hacked
Let’s start with why WordPress sites get hacked in the first place. WordPress powers over 40% of all websites on the internet. While that's great for the platform's popularity, it also means hackers love to target WordPress for easy exploits. Think of it like a crowded marketplace; the more people, the more pickpockets. Some common reasons for WordPress hacks include:
Outdated plugins and themes: These can have security vulnerabilities that hackers love to exploit. Regular updates are crucial.
Weak passwords: It sounds simple, but “password123” isn’t exactly Fort Knox-level security.
Insecure hosting: Not all web hosts are created equal. Cheap or poorly managed hosting environments are often susceptible to attacks.
No SSL: An SSL certificate encrypts data between your website and its visitors. Without it, sensitive information like login details can be intercepted.
User roles & permissions mismanagement: Granting more privileges than necessary to users opens up security gaps.
So if your website is down, showing strange pop-ups, or worse, flagged as "unsafe" by Google, the odds are high that you've been hacked.
Symptoms of a Hacked WordPress Site
Before diving into the repair process, it’s important to recognize some of the signs that your WordPress site has been compromised:
Your site looks different: New pages or posts you didn’t create, changes in the homepage layout, or random content popping up—this is a big red flag.
You can’t log in: Hackers often lock out administrators after gaining access.
Visitors report suspicious activity: If users start reporting strange pop-ups, redirects, or malware warnings, it’s likely your site is infected.
Slow performance: If your site becomes unusually slow, it could be due to malicious scripts running in the background.
Search engine warnings: If Google or other search engines flag your site as compromised, you’ll see warnings in search results.
Suspicious traffic spikes: If your analytics show a sudden spike in traffic from unfamiliar sources, especially from suspicious countries, that could be a sign.
The DIY Approach to WordPress Cleanup
If you’re tech-savvy and willing to roll up your sleeves, here’s a basic process you can follow to clean up your hacked WordPress site:
Backup Your Website: Before you do anything else, create a backup of your site. Even if it’s infected, you’ll want a copy just in case something goes wrong during the cleanup.
Disable the Site: Put your site into maintenance mode or temporarily shut it down. This prevents visitors from interacting with an infected site, which could harm their computers or personal data.
Scan for Malware: Use a reputable malware scanning tool or plugin like Wordfence, Sucuri, or MalCare. These tools will help you identify infected files, malicious code, and any vulnerabilities.
Check for Users You Don’t Recognize: Go into your WordPress dashboard and check for any user accounts that don’t belong. If a hacker has created a new admin account, you’ll want to delete it immediately.
Update Everything: Ensure that your WordPress core, plugins, and themes are updated to the latest versions. Often, older versions have known security vulnerabilities that hackers can exploit.
Delete Unused Plugins/Themes: If you have old plugins or themes sitting on your site that you’re not using, get rid of them. Even inactive plugins can be vulnerable.
Reinstall Fresh Copies of Plugins and Themes: Sometimes the best way to ensure your plugins and themes are clean is by deleting them and reinstalling fresh copies from official sources.
Change All Passwords: Reset passwords for all users, and make sure they’re strong. Consider using a password manager to generate and store secure passwords.
Restore from a Clean Backup: If you have a backup from before your site was hacked, restoring it could be the quickest way to get things back to normal.
Submit a Reconsideration Request: If Google has flagged your site as unsafe, you’ll need to request a review after you’ve cleaned it up. Head to Google Search Console to submit your request.
Why You Should Consider Hiring a Professional Cleanup Service
While the DIY approach might seem like a good idea if you're tech-savvy, it’s not for everyone. Cleaning up a hacked WordPress site can be a complicated and time-consuming process, especially if you’re not familiar with the inner workings of WordPress or malware detection. Here’s where professional hacked website repair and cleanup services come into play.
Here’s why hiring a professional is often the best move
Speed and Efficiency: Time is of the essence when it comes to dealing with a hacked site. The longer your site remains compromised, the more damage it can do to your reputation, your users, and even your search engine rankings. Professionals can quickly identify the problem and get your site back online safely.
Experience: Professional cleanup services have seen it all. They know what to look for and can spot hidden malware or backdoors that a novice might miss. They also know the most common vulnerabilities in WordPress themes and plugins and can harden your site against future attacks.
Ongoing Monitoring: Many cleanup services offer ongoing protection and monitoring, so once your site is clean, they keep an eye out for any suspicious activity. Think of it as having a security guard for your website.
Guarantees: Some services offer guarantees, so if your site is hacked again within a certain time frame, they’ll clean it up at no extra cost. That’s a nice layer of peace of mind.
Advanced Tools: Professional services have access to advanced malware removal and security tools that might not be available in free plugins or DIY methods. These tools can scan deeper and ensure every trace of the hack is removed.
Choosing the Right Cleanup Service
If you’ve decided that hiring a professional cleanup service is the right move, here’s what to look for:
Reputation: Do your research. Look for companies with strong reviews and testimonials from other website owners. A solid reputation is key.
24/7 Support: Hacks don’t always happen during business hours. Make sure the service you choose offers 24/7 support, especially if your website is critical for your business.
Clear Pricing: Be wary of services with vague pricing structures. A good cleanup service should offer a transparent, one-time fee or clear monthly pricing for ongoing protection.
Backup and Restoration Services: Many professional services will help you set up regular backups and restoration points to prevent future headaches. This is a huge advantage.
Preventive Measures: The best hacked website cleanup services don’t just fix the problem—they also help you prevent it from happening again.
Having your WordPress site hacked is a stressful experience, but it’s not the end of the world. Posting Fic - How to prep your writing to display correctly on AO3 (via LibreOffice)
So I've seen guides online about how to convert your fanfic for AO3 after writing it in Google Docs, because a lot of people use GDocs to do their writing (which is a decent option, since it saves it in the cloud and all that). I'm not planning on repeating that here.
But I don't do my writing in GDocs, I do my writing in LibreOffice Writer, because it emulates an older version of Word (which is what I grew up on and am most used to), and because I can have more robust spellchecking than on GDocs. And when I was first considering finally posting my work to AO3, I'd heard lots of commentary about how often pasting into the rich text editor sometimes loses formatting, or what hoops people had to jump through to make sure everything looked good.
So I'm here with the actually-pretty-darn-simple method I use to post to AO3 for anyone who needs this, because I want to be helpful.
Please note: this is largely for the basic formatting one might use on AO3. I haven't tested it with fancier things (not even smallcaps yet, though I'm hoping that won't prove too difficult when I finally get around to a chapter that needs that functionality). Also, these instructions are for Windows, which is what I use.
The first step is, obviously, to write up your story in LibreOffice Writer. I have some formatting standards I prefer because it makes my works look like they're publication-ready, which helps me stay in the "I'm actually writing fiction here" groove.
Tumblr media
Once you're done writing, you need to make sure the file is ready to save for AO3. With how I write, the only thing I change is that I remove that first-line indent across the whole document. This is easy enough. Select everything, and then go to Format > Paragraph.
Tumblr media
Once in that dialog, change the first line indent to 0. If you don't see a number there at all, just enter the number in there.
Tumblr media
Then press "OK." This will realign all the paragraphs, including their first lines, to the left margin.
Note that I haven't changed the spacing between paragraphs at all. It's still single-spaced, and that's fine, because the next step can handle that.
Tumblr media
DON'T SAVE OVER THE ORIGINAL.
What you want to do at this point is select "Save As" and make sure to save it as an html file, not whatever file format you normally use. LibreOffice will probably ask if you want to do that or use its native format, and you can just tell it "use html format."
You should now have an html file wherever you saved it. If you double-click it, it will open in your default browser, and you can check that the formatting carried over properly if you want. It should look ready for posting, complete with the internet-standard single empty line between paragraphs. LibreOffice knows to wrap each paragraph in html paragraph tags, which is what AO3 likes, and AO3 (and generally the rest of the internet) reads that as the extra empty space between paragraphs, just like you should see here on Tumblr.
Now you need to navigate to where you have the file on your computer via your file manager of choice (I'm on Windows, so I use File Explorer, which I can reach just by right-clicking on the Start button, but I also have a shortcut to it on my taskbar). Right-click on the file, and "open with" Notepad. You can also just open Notepad and open the file from within the program.
You should see the html code for the file.
Tumblr media
This is all set and ready to go. Copy everything between the "body" tags in the file (I also skip the lines that are for the chapter title, because I can enter that in a different spot on AO3).
Tumblr media
Copy the selected code and paste it into the HTML editor on AO3. If you want AO3 to do a bit of cleanup for you, you can click over to the Rich Text editor, then back to HTML, and it will clean up extra carriage returns and such, but this isn't necessary. Double-check that everything looks good by clicking "Preview," and if you're happy, click "Post."
This even preserves smart quotes, which I don't bother to change to straight quotes, though I suppose you could do so if you wanted.
But honestly, that's how easy it is. Save the file as html, copy the html over to AO3, and done. No scripts, no file converters, no worrying if your formatting is going to survive being pasted into the Rich Text editor. Just LibreOffice and Notepad.

Weekly Update October 13, 2023
This week had a bunch of ups and downs. It’s been busy but I’ve been trying to do what I can on the side.
I’m definitely falling behind on my inktober prompt sets, partially because of exhaustion but also partially because of time and social obligations. I was able to bring my sketchbook to dnd tonight and start inking everything up to yesterday’s prompt, although I need to go over it all with the bottle and brush before they’re finished. I do unfortunately need to sleep early tonight so I don’t think I’ll be able to do any more digital art tonight but I do have a sketch done for the next goretober prompt. I am very limited on time tomorrow (and this weekend in general) but once I get my comms done I can get to that and start sketching some more.
Animation hasn’t been too slowed by my busy schedule since I can work on it during lecture, but I am unfortunately still exhausted, so it is much slower than it was in early September. I’m almost back on pace, though. Jon’s animation for shot 1-4 is done except for his face and some cleanup work (Jon in particular has shoulders that like to fall apart). The sketchy assets for Emile are almost all exported, and reimporting them can also be done during lecture to save time. I’m not sure if I’ll begin animation on 1-4 for Emile or Tim once Jon is done, because Emile looks like more fun but Tim would give me an excuse to get some prop assets done that I’ve been meaning to. Prop assets take time from other drawings since k need my tablet for them so actually now that I think about it I’ll do Emile next to buy myself time to catch up on prompts.
I’m in a weird spot with music stuff, I’m finally getting an idea of what I want to do and how to do it, but then komplete kontrol decided to have a big ugly update that deleted a bunch of samples I was going to look at. If anyone knows how to relocate/reinstall/return the samples under the ‘loops’ tab of komplete kontrol (that is, the tab labeled loops, not any loops saved to the controller. My controller is not affiliated with Native Instruments and is not affected by the update), please please please let me know. I can try workarounds or other plugins, but my computer is a bit tight on storage space and I don’t know if I’d have room for another plugin. Looking into getting a new computer since I’m about at that point anyway but it wouldn’t be for a while yet. Idk I might try to work around it if I find time but that seems unlikely to happen until probably next Thursday.
I’ve been on and off thinking about OC story planning as well. I drew Vaughn the other day and people really seem to like him, plus I realized he could fit in pretty nicely into another underdeveloped story (the one with Parsley and Julie), but I’d need a basic structure for that before I can really do anything with it. I have a plasma appointment tomorrow morning so I’ll have time to think on it, although I’ll probably dedicate the time instead to music planning and shenanigans.
Lot going on, also a fair amount of homework stuff for uni as well, but I’m managing. Worst of this week is a lab report I’m not sure I’ll have time for but in the absolute worst case I can sacrifice my sleep on Monday or Wednesday night. I’d rather not but you gotta do what you gotta do. I’ll try to get going on the rest of the prompt set drawings but sometimes other things take priority.

I downloaded CCleaner at the recommendation of an IT friend. I believe u know what ur talking abt but why is it bad
Short answer:
While running a registry cleaner is useless at best, it's dangerous at worst. As mentioned, the registry is home to lots of important values that both Windows and third-party programs use. If you delete, move, or damage these keys, critical system functions could fail to work.
Since registry cleaners are automated, there's a good chance that their registry scan could tag something as unnecessary when it's actually important. And unless you're a registry expert and check every entry before deleting them, you could cause major damage to your system by deleting something inadvertently.
Basically it's extremely unlikely that registry entries are going to cause problems simply by having a lot of them but it's extremely likely that registry entries are going to cause problems if they're messed with without a lot of really careful attention.
Your computer is a really, really, really smart machine and even with tens of thousands of entries your registry isn't a challenge for the computer to read or access*, but it is a challenge for YOU to read or access. So what registry cleaners have done over the years is marketed themselves as a way to "clean up" your registry and make things faster which doesn't actually make any sense in terms of how the computer works but makes *intuitive* sense to a human looking at a big confusing registry full of entries and extensions that you don't understand.
You shouldn't mess around with your registry unless you are very certain you know what you're doing and have taken a good, complete backup of your computer very recently. You shouldn't trust third parties to mess around in your registry at all.
People tend to like the other tools offered by programs like CCleaner but those are pretty much just a middleman doing stuff that there are already tools built into the OS for. You don't need special software to clean up junk files or adjust what runs on startup, disk cleanup and task manager can do that without installing a third-party software on your computer.
And that is *aside* from the fact that CCleaner specifically has had some incidents of running malware and registry cleaners generally trying to get you to either click on ads or purchase upgrades.
*back in the beforetimes of the 90s registry entries did sometimes cause problems and Microsoft made its own registry cleaner, which went out of support in 1998 because it did kind of help with some stuff but created more problems than it resolved and also it became obsolete when computers started having more processing power and memory and the underlying software was improved. And here's a post that's nearly 20 years old discussing why registry cleaners aren't necessary and can cause problems.

Safest Shelter Part 2
The keys on the keyboard produced light clicks as gloved fingers tapped over it with practiced ease, the rows of code appearing on the monitor incomprehensible except to the two tailed fox who was entering it.
Nearly finished with the self assigned task, Tails took a cursory glance at the time displaying in the corner of the task bar and continued with the completion of the code that would wipe away any signs of his intrusion from the Eggnet.
The entire day had been spent trying to stop the hordes upon hordes of badniks from invading Central City. The bots had arrived without a warning this time with the orders to overwhelm and they just kept on coming. Even with Sonic giving it his all and the others joining in to lend a hand, it hadn't been enough. For every ten bots that were taken down, thirty more took their place and the group of heroes was put in too much of a time crunch to be able to seek out any Chaos Emeralds.
That left them with no choice but to switch the strategy and Team Dark suggested to take out the source, basically stop the production and launch of the badniks altogether. While the fighters and heavy hitters worked on keeping the invading hordes from causing more damage to the city and worked on protecting the people, Tails headed home to manually hack into Eggman's network and switch the automated commands. It took quite a while, having to not only stop the badniks that were already sent off but also cancel all the continuous production and deployment commands from the various factories. Then there was the matter of rerouting the transportation crafts.
Evening had arrived by the time he finished with his task and then went on wiping all signs of his existence from possibly getting detected. It was a cautious process, considering how much tight the upgraded security on the network had become. He constantly had to fight back from getting his own connection hacked. It had been a couple of hours since he rerouted the last of the sent out vehicles, working on thoroughly analyzing any possible viruses that could've been sent out to infiltrate his personal network. The only updates he got from the strike and defense teams were that any more new badniks had stopped coming and they were working on beating and clearing out the hordes that were already present.
Finishing with typing up the code and deploying it, Tails leaned back and stretched. Taking into consideration the amount of badniks present when he had left the city to work behind the scenes, the amount of people that were in potentially harm's way and how spread out the armies were, he had concluded that it would take the others a few hours at most to complete their mission. Considering what the time was, that meant that his brother was probably done and on his way back right about...
Boom!
Now. Tails smirked, satisfied at the accuracy of his estimation as he heard the signature sonic boom that accompanied his brother whenever the hedgehog broke the barrier of sound. Shutting down the computer, the twin tailed genius hopped off his office chair and headed out of the workshop area and towards the front door, passing the lounge. He hadn't even reached it before the knob turned and the door was pushed open, his blue furred brother stepping inside, the dark sky speckled with occasional stars visible behind the tired hedgehog, showing that night had already fallen.
"Hi, Sonic," he greeted. "How'd the battle go?"
"It got much easier after the badniks stopped arriving," the other responded with a tired grin as he stepped inside, closing the door behind him. "It took us a while to take out the last of them and help with post battle cleanup effort but we wouldn't have gotten that far without you, Tails."
"Well of course," Tails sent his brother a cocky grin, "Where would you even be without my tremendous skills and crucial work?"
Sonic chuckled in amusement, plopping doing on the couch with a sigh.
Tails studied him, a quick visual examination revealing that his brother was alright save for some superficial bruises and scrapes which would heal on their own. Aside from that, Sonic looked dead on his feet with exhaustion. Being in a constant battle since late morning without a pause and then not having the energy boost that followed the usage of Emerald's power resulted in even the hyperactive hero getting tired.
Approaching his brother before he could doze off on the couch, Tails took Sonic's arm and pulled him to his feet, keeping the other's arm around his shoulders to help the hedgehog to his room.
Some years ago, and still to this day, it would've been Sonic who'd carry a sleepy tired fox to bed and tuck him in. Now, it was the younger fox who returned the favour, supporting his exhausted big brother as they both headed upstairs, Sonic unable to hold back a drawn out yawn as he leaned on Tails. He resisted the hold of sleep, preventing himself from dozing off right where he stood so he wouldn't pass out on his little brother.
He knew Tails was strong enough to carry them both when he couldn't, someone he could always trust to fall back on, his wingman, his partner in crime, his brother. He could always depend on Tails.
Once they had climbed to the upper floor, Tails dragged his droopy, nearly half asleep brother to his room, Sonic following along without a fuss as he let out an incoherent mumble.
Once inside, he allowed the weary hedgehog to plop down on the bed and kick off his shoes, telling him to lie down as soon as he did. Sonic complied, releasing a soft sigh as his head hit the pillow, eyes already falling shut due to drowsiness.
Tails smiled and draped a blanket over the other, carefully tucking him in as he adjusted the fluffy covering and once rubbed his brother's blanket covered shoulder.
"Tails."
"Hm?" Tails responded as Sonic's eyes slid open to glance at him, sleepy but grateful.
"Thanks, lil' bro."
Tails perked up at that, smiling as he gave the other a reassuring pat on his shoulder.
"Goodnight, Sonic."
"Night..." Sonic mumbled, voice barely above a whisper as his eyes slid shut once again and his breathing turned deep, soft snores beginning to escape him as he fell into a deeper slumber.
Tails still had a contented smile on when he silently left the room, turning off the lights and closing the door on his way out.

Dear [redacted],
I’m sorry for not writing to you sooner. I haven’t had the time or the supplies until now. I’ve gotten all of your letters and I hope this one can get to you in only a few days. You asked me how I liked Britain. I’m assuming you meant, how did I enjoy my time here before I had to come to the island? Well, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I had hoped. The village they put me in was quiet, small and rather nice. It rained at every waking moment. I feel exceptionally gloomy here, without you and the kids it feels like years have passed already.
I have to put a lot of faith in our suits, and in Dr. Halligan. He was my boss’s boss, back when I worked for the University. I’m not sure if you met him before or not. I suppose that he has to trust me a lot too, because if I make any mistakes I’ll get him killed. I could easily understand how anxious he might be working with a guy as young as I am. I think that he respects me a lot for volunteering though. And now that we’ve worked together this long and this closely - having to rely on each other this much, I think he’s built up some kind of mutual respect towards me.
He and I live in a facility, quarantined from one another at all times, that basically feels like a lab that you have to live in. I’m trying to make it as homey as I can but it’s not much use. They didn’t let me bring any personal items with me onto the island and I obviously can’t have anything brought to me from the outside here. They actually did install a little library with a good number of books, and there is also a laptop here but it has pretty heavily restricted access to the internet. Honestly, I’m scared to look up any news about the whole situation because I know they’ll get rid of me the second they think I’ll go to the media or the Russians or whatever.
Honestly it’s more work than I’ve ever had to do before. We work 8 hour shifts, from 9am to 5pm, and we can only be outside of the facility for 30 minutes at a time. Bob runs off and does his own thing for his bit of time, but I have to go and document the decomposition of all 57 bodies every single day. Just getting good pictures of all 57 is difficult as hell, and they’ve really been on top of me when it comes to hitting my deadlines on the reports. I can tell you that if I get contaminated I’m going to hang myself. I won’t go through what these people have, and I definitely won’t bring one microbe of this back to you.
The suits are able to protect us, 100% of the time with 100% effectiveness, but if we stay outside for too long the gas gets the suits so contaminated that they can’t be used again and the process of sanitizing them becomes “unrealistically expensive”, as I was told. All of my notes are kept in a house in the middle of the tiny village, and I use a phone they gave me to send my pictures on to the computer. 30 minutes to check the bodies, 30 minutes to get back home and get clean, and to make sure your suit is in perfect shape, and back out for 30 more minutes. Then when I get back it usually takes me six hours to get all of the reports done.
There is going to be a cleanup someday, but no one is ever gonna be able to live here again. Nor will they want to, once everyone understands this gas and how stupid the human race was for making it. They told me it would be livable here again in a year’s time but I don’t believe it at all to tell you the truth. This gas seems to be more “sticky” than any I’ve ever heard of. It gat grow spores in your clothes and can spread them everywhere, and you can he infected for weeks before you show any symptoms.
It’s been very bright for the past few weeks, but unbelievably cold. I absolutely despise being outside, now. Gray rocks, nasty slushy rain, always overcast… being surrounded by the sea is nice though. I spend some time every morning just watching the waves crash against the rocks, and I imagine myself as an old lighthouse keeper. I do my best to keep my mind on better, less complicated times. I envision myself, bearded and old, living off of rationed supplies and spending all my free time just trying to keep sane. It’s just another daydream I use to keep my mind busy.
The cat they sent me is Russian, they said. Gray, with long fur. I named her Dasha. I admit, I talk to her when I’m quarantined in my room for the 16 hours a day I’m not working. You know how I am. So after all, you probably expect to hear that I’m still not sleeping. Every night I maybe fall asleep for about an hour, but it’s hard for me to say. I’ve done a lot of reading, like you recommended. The tablet you sent me has been put to extreme use. I have to get every book pre-approved , though. Somehow [redacted] made it on to the banned books list.
The part of this letter I’m dreading to write about the most is also probably what you want to hear about the most. The job isn’t fun at all, I tell you. It’s obvious that everyone died painfully. The bodies are skeletons now but I have had to document their decomposition with painstaking detail over all of this time. Re-visiting the same faces and watching them rot away. And the island is nothing but gray rocks and dead grass, and it rains every fucking day all day. It’s been difficult.
I’ve been trying to keep up my habits as normally as I did before I left home. I’ve got complete internet access, and I’m too scared to know what they’ll do if I look anything up about this place and what’s going on out there. I have been playing a lot of video games of course. I made progress with the city we built last winter, I hope you don’t mind. You can see what I’ve done if you log in to my account on the computer at home, the password should be saved. I know it’s hard, going from seeing one another every day and having phones to feeling like a couple from the 1950’s writing handwritten letters to each other, but there’s something nice about it too.
I’ve been promised compensation when I come back. I worry that I’ll come home sick from all this. Some unknown illness will take me 20 years from now or something. But as long as I don’t get anyone else infected, I don’t really care. The settlement I was promised in the case of my death is insane. You and the boys would be alright forever.
I do feel as though it’s my duty to be here. As far as I know, few people are as qualified as I am to do this. Bob is running an inspection on the site’s computer systems. One time he did tell me that the problem was inexplicable because “there were not supposed to be any computers there that were connected to the internet”, and he hasn’t found any evidence that there were. So whereas he’s stuck and getting more frustrated by the day, I just feel a gloomy sense of duty to keep on keeping on. What choice do I have? Without this level of documentation, we can’t properly convince the rest of the world to cut this shit out.
Worst of all though is the dread in my heart that tells me it won’t be enough. The pictures I’ve taken are too graphic for the public to see, and I’m positive that my testimony is going to be doubted and challenged. Half the country has already made up their minds about it, and I’m not stupid enough to think I can change the minds of stupid people.
Don’t believe anything you read or see until I get home and I can explain everything. Some of the stuff you’ll hear is definitely going to be true, but there’s a lot of speculation out there. I do believe it was the Russians but [many sentences redacted].
Lastly, I’ll tell you about the most sinister theory of all. I think that the government gave me this cat specifically so I would grow attached to it. So now that I have to rely on it for my own sanity, any minuscule mistake that I make in keeping myself decontaminated would result in her death a lot quicker than mine. That’s one piece of information I’m positive I’m allowed to tell you; the gas kills animals a lot quicker than it kills humans. They brought her here to be a canary in the coal mine. If she dies in screaming agony I have no way to help her, and then I have to sit here and wait until the microbes I forgot to kill with the sanitation process reach my brain and cause me to spasm until I die. I watch it happen every night in my dreams.
I’m sorry to worry you, I just need someone to understand what it’s like here, what I’m going through.
I love you [redacted], six more months and I’ll be back home.
P.S. Any updates about our crazy neighbor?

100 Days of Productivity
Day 1 of 100:
11-19-2021
Song of the day
I've never been one to stick to a strict regimen, or capable of writing in a journal at the end of the day. It just felt off and too scripted, how's one supposed to have something to write about every day and second of their life? I've struggled with this thought and also struggled with keeping a healthy life style through this pandemic. I'm not one to keep up appearances and get really tired of it. Even if no one reads any of these or see the photos, it's a little something to show that I'm working through this difficult time. I'm not great at writing but that's something you can always practice. Right now, I'm trying to get my life together as a 23-year-old turning 24 in a matter of weeks. I still live with one of my parents and have yet to get a job in my field. I'm hoping that this is one step in a right direction for that goal, whether it's getting my life back on track and hoping to move in with my love or finding the way to enjoy little things again. (Hopefully it's the first one) Either way, I plan to use these days to work towards that goal a little bit at a time. I don't know if this is common with anyone else, but I basically avoided this room for two weeks cause of this mess. (It was worst but I put away some stuff before I thought to take a photo) Because of that, I wasn't using my computer and thus avoiding work. Is it lazy? Yes. Is it an easy fix? Also, yes. A small thing I can control so I cleaned it up. Hopefully tomorrow I can do the same thing to the kitchen, that thanksgiving cleanup is hard. Luckily, I cleaned the majority but those dishes need to be washed. I also plan to update my resume and demo reel (A short video to show case what I can do in Animation) so I can start applying to jobs as quickly as I can. I'm hoping to surprise my love with a job so I can support myself and move in with her. Here's to hoping I can get this done. To those interested in these posts, thanks for taking the time to read. Hopefully I can inspire to make a small change in your life as well.
Goodnight
-Sof <3
