Was Grimes always such a dumb bitch or did Elon Musk lobotomize her?

some people on twt have gone out of their way to make jokes and post memes about moonbin's death and i'm beyond disgusted. i'm not sure if they're just trolling and want clout or are actually being serious but it's still so wrong either way it goes. like even if you aren't a fan of astro at least have SOME decency and respect as a human. i don't understand how people can be so cruel and nasty...they seriously need a reality check and quick.

i hate that being "alternative" is trending. don't get me wrong i love the idea of new people being able to find the music and the people and connect, but there's so much shit that comes with it that pisses me off. the same people who bullied emo kids in middle and high school are now saying their alt, they're literally being the same thing they targeted people for. never mind the fact that most of them don't listen to alt music, pierce the veil is probably the only alt artist they know. they're coming into these spaces that were created to get away from people like them, and then they wonder why people who are in the scene can't stand them. they post their stupid instagrams and tiktok's and then in a few years it's gonna stop trending and their gonna shit on the people who weren't faking. i'm gonna say this THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH GOING THROUGH A PHASE. but when it's different when you were actively shitting on people before and now inserting yourself into that space because it's trending. it's not like they're entering these spaces and doing no harm either, they're making concerts unsafe, STILL making fun of different sub-genres, and then they think they can gatekeep shit. like i'm sorry but YOU are what people are trying to gatekeep from in the first place. the whole thing just pisses me off to no end.

I love seeing script writing devalued in my creative writing class. I bet these same people devaluing it love watching movies and TV. Let's see if they like it when the writer's strike gets some of their shows canceled (which I am okay with since writers are out here trying their best to get the pay and fair treatment and recognition they deserve). I bet after that they'll bemoan the situation, and suddenly writers will start to seem important. Interesting, right?

Someone brought unexpected visitors to the house without asking, or even notifying
I'm so hungry, I was gonna go make food but I do not want to talk to others. Not now. Not ever. Why don't people fucking warn others that visits are coming? This is my fucking house. Have some fucking manners and ask me if anyone can come.
I don't bring people without asking, at least be courteous enough to do the same. You don't pay no bills to be strutting around like you own the place.

the 'roman slavery was just household slaves not like later plantation/industrial slavery' thing I hear all the time from people irl is going to make me insane for real. it's not their fault they don't know but the fact that this is the general perception of roman slavery is literally so hideous to me. frantically leans into the microphone for 300 dollars who can tell me who the people doing most of the large scale agricultural and mining work were. please. pl

After months of research and development and market testing and perfecting the first item I feel confident selling online, I have realized... that it is an incredibly niche item that only a specific subset of absolute nerds would want to buy, and I will have to do a ton of explaining the basic idea over and over again before people generally get what it is I'm even selling. RIP me

Not here for it. Amy Schumer called out male actors who expand their families late in life.
“Everyone is like, ‘Congrats!’ If it was Jane Fonda, people would call the police,” the comedian, 42, who shares 4-year-old son Gene with husband Chris Fischer joked during a Thursday, June 8, appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “It is weird. It doesn’t make me comfortable."
Say what you will about Amy Schumer, but she ain't wrong

I'm not explaining why re-imagining characters as POC is not the same as white-washing, here of all places should fucking understand.

Bruce Wayne flips through the pages of a sherlock holmes novel, enjoying the story when his phone rings. He answers, bringing the phone to his ear.
AUTOMATED VOICE
(via phone)
This is Gotham City Jail. You have a collect call from—
JASON TODD
(via phone)
Um, Jason.
BRUCE
Not again.
AUTOMATED VOICE
(via phone)
Do you accept the charges?
BRUCE
I... guess so. Talk Jason.
JASON
Roy and I are in jail, can you come down here with bail money again?
BRUCE
God damnit... What did you do?
JASON
It's not important.
BRUCE
What did you do? I won't be... that mad.
JASON (groaning)
We were at the gun shop, have to buy new bullets, you know and we walked past this car that... had a child in it. The child was covered in sweat, exhausted. So I, being a good citizen, smashed the other side of the window and helped the little angel out.
BRUCE
That's actually sweet, an overreaction, but sweet. Why is Roy with you?
JASON
Him? He beat the father's ass when they left the grocery store that's next to the gun shop. Roy, what did you say when the guy left the store with a cart full of Crona beer?
ROY (in the background)
It's on site for child abusers, especially when they double down on doing it!
BRUCE
Oh... honestly father of the year, not gonna lie. Why didn't he call Oliver?
JASON
The asshole hung up on him when he heard the automated message.
Bruce nods, understanding how much a prick Oliver can be.
BRUCE
Okay, I'll be there in a few minutes and don't worry I'll cover this, you don't have to pay me back.
JASON
Aww thanks.

i'd read several people saying that this chapter sucked and that the end was bullshit so i was a little scared at what had happened but...
i literally don't understand how someone could be upset by this...?? i feel like this outcome has been heavily implied throughout the entire arc. like, just a few chapters ago, bonney used a technique very similar to one of luffy's. are we reading the same manga? lol
and from a storytelling standpoint, it's just so poetic. both of bonney's parents suffered and ultimately died (we still need confirmation on kuma, tho) at the hands of the WG. she, herself, fell terminally ill because of saturn's human experimentation. she carried a lot of unresolved trauma, and now that she's met luffy, she's starting to overcome it all. kuma told her that nika would free her, and it's happening!! how could anyone complain about this?
and to say that this undermines luffy's journey and efforts to awaken his df... please. we still don't know if she's gonna have a quarter of luffy's power if anything at all. stop assuming things just off of one panel. time will tell. for now, i very much like this concept, and i'm excited to see what oda will do with this in the future. he's never disappointed me, so far, when it comes to the story. i don't see why he would now.

i don't like it when someone is easy to reach. when someone is open to everyone, when literally anyone can get their attention. it is a question of values and principles not to be open to everyone and not to have the need for everyone's attention. people who are easily available won't value soulful connections.

eleven is fascinating to me because he came right off the back of tens horrible traumatic breakdown after he lost everything and he immediately tried to establish himself as the opposite of that. he is funny and goofy and almost childlike, and he bulldozes on in his adventures with amy like nothing happened at all. but then something happens and his masks slips and it's like oh! the core of this man is still anger. he is so so angry all of the time and this façade is the only thing stopping him from being consumed by it. he isn't over any of it and he hasn't moved on. he is wearing a fez and laughing but under that all that exists is age old anger and grief and it is going to consume him
