Warning, although I labeled this as Megop, I really talk little about Megatron and Optimus, this is more of an idea that arises from a fanfic where they are actors and from that I got another idea of "what if they had a dubbing in other languages?" and then to "what if their voice actors were married?", I don't want to mislead you, so read at your risk

I'm reading A Prime Performance again, and I can't stop thinking about my fanfic that I wrote based on that story (Link here, it's in Spanish), which is based on the theory of the different languages of Cybertron, especially the Tarnian translation (which for me is the closest thing to the Latin-Mexican dubbing) then I had this idea: Tarn (the one from the DJD, also known as Damus/Glitch) is the voice of Megatronus in the RoRo dub, and Orion's voice was done by a voice actress, a femme, and not a voice actor, mech. So here I go to throw out my headcanon garbage on this fanfic because I'm honestly obsessed.

PopKart is the name of Orion Pax's voice actress, she has been since season one and is the only female voice actress who has played Orion (for so long at least, there were scenes dubbed by a Tarnian) -Damus (I won't call him Tarn) is a big fan of Megatronus and when he discovered that he was dubbing it in Tarnian, he was shocked.

Damus sighing: "Well, I did the test and a month later I was checking Instacam, I noticed that CrackJr had tagged me in something that was like <<'Tarn' will be the voice for the incredible Megatronus>> I thought it was a mistake and then. .. they kept tagging me in things like that, I had a small short circuit in my living room after 50 posts" -[Finished extract] (Actual anectote of the voice actor of Yor from Spy x Family in the Latin dub) -Popkart is not an actor, she is a singer, she was born in Tarn but spent a large part of her life in Kaon. -Damus / Tarn got his nickname after dubbing a character in a police series, Tarn de Tarn, where he was very similar to the actor.

PopKart and Tarn have been married since season 3, but it was not known until season 5.

Damus is a great MegaOrion shipper. -In his life PopKart sang the RoRo Ending song and forced everyone to do it, Damus was delighted.

Honestly, no one understands the obsession of these two with the program.

TerraSpark would be a canceled series where Damus refused to voice Megatronus just because he turned good, PopKart had ended up convincing him to do it (as a favor to a dubbing director), but it was canceled and Damus still counts That's like a victory. -PopKart is a fan of the RoRo comics in WDI, which are for a larger audience (what would be called teenagers) and his favorite character is the one inspired by her conjuntx 'Tarn' from DJD, he ships it with 'Nickel'

I am rambling a lot in this post. If you see this because I tagged you, I just wanna tell you that you and your art, be it writing or drawing, is amazing so you don’t have to read through this entire thing.

As of the 25th of December 2023 this AU is three years old

(Well, to be 100 % accurate it was the 20th with a little oneshot)

Putting it all together (according to AO3 statistics and excluding all the tumblr post on the @traitor-on-board story blog and the very few on @adventure-time-alterationau) I've written 126,855 words for this AU in the past three years.

According to my word document I have for ToB, that Blog has additionally 46,258 words alone.

The whole Henry Stickmin fandom is special to me. It's unlike any other fandom I've ever read comics and fanfics, admired fanart and animations or created content myself for.

It's fun to create for this fandom.

We've been given so many characters with so little background information and one of the things I love the most is seeing all the different designs, backstories and characterizations of the same characters. Be it the ones in the background with only a bio with a single sentence, the references to other games like Mario and A hat in time or the main characters like Henry, Charles, Ellie, Reginald and so on.

And I've barely seen people argue about their different headcanons.

Granted, I've grown past the part of my life where I actively seek out drama and noone is obligated to publicly or at all answer rude anonymous asks, but I haven't really seen anyone make a post about how a certain character can't be trans or gay or have a certain type of backstory that they do not agree with.

We can all be peaceful and appreciate each others creativity and love for the fandom and characters. Even if that love means to put them through hell and back and traumatize them beyond belief. (I've never written so much angsty stuff in my life...)

So... in celebration of me not having abandoned any of my stories yet and me roping my friend into this fandom to the point where they share their work with this fandom (btw. "Rare Hearts" on AO3) a thank you to all the blogs / people, aside from every single Kudo, Comment and Star on Wattpad, AO3 and here, who inspired me in the first place and keep my love for this fandom alive. Audio is the start of damn Right by the awesome Audrey Nuna, and the program is Blender3D (Greasepencil 2D), characters are from Stan Sakai's Samurai Rabbit cartoon on Netflix. It's a fun show that's been inspiring me, so I took a theory I had last year about a background detail and made it into an amalgam fanfic idea in january-february this year. I started making cover art for the chapters this week.

3. What is the main program you use for writing (google docs, the ao3 writing text box, etc.)?

Just plain old Microsoft Word. I've occasionally considered looking into more advanced writing software that would make it easier to manage notes, outlines, etc., but so far, I've been managing all right with Word.

9. Biggest pet peeve while writing?

I feel like I always get really inspired to write right when I can't (at work, outdoors, etc.), but somehow the inspiration and energy just disappear somewhere when I actually have the time and opportunity to sit down and write. Then, when I finally get going and feel like I could keep writing for hours, it's suddenly time to go to bed. So basically, I think it's really unfair how work, household chores and general adulting interfere with my hobbies. :D

11. Do you prefer writing angst, crack, or fluff?

Out of these options, I'd probably have to pick angst. I love writing humorous scenes, but I'm generally not super into straight-out crackfic (though there are always exceptions). As for fluff, I like it best in moderation, preferably with some humour or bittersweetness mixed in. But sometimes it's really fun to just let loose with the angst and go to town on the melodrama!

14. First fandom you ever wrote fanfiction for?

Stand Still, Stay Silent, a post-apocalyptic webcomic set in the Nordic countries. It has beautiful art and does some really cool things with mythology and folklore elements. However, to summarize a lot of stuff very briefly, the creator revealed some questionable opinions, got into a bunch of conspiracy theory stuff, found Jesus and decided to end SSSS to focus on religious comics instead, so I moved on to other fandoms.

20. Hardest character to write/get the characterization correct for?

Hmm, this is a difficult one! Thinking about what I've written lately, I think I'd say Edmund Bertram. Writing his almost-proposal in So Happy a Summer was challenging because we don't really get to see his private interactions with Mary Crawford in canon, nor do we get much detail on his courtship of Fanny. There's not that much to go on when trying to figure out how he'd act in a romantic situation. I had a lot of fun writing his interactions with Fanny, but that last scene with Elizabeth was tough!

So, for total funsies and absolutely not because I’m doing research for a possible fanfic I decided to look up some Lappland lore and... I found some interesting stuff. Since a lot of the stuff about her that comes my way are usually memes or comedic little comic skits I had a much lighter, sillier idea of her character, but after reading some of her records and voice lines I think she’s a much more serious (or at least grounded) character than people gave her credit for.

Now, I’m no lore hunter nor theorist, and while I keep track of the story of Arknights to an extent it’s mostly just as a fun story and not for anything too deep like the deep lore. That said, I wanted to share some of my finding with you all. To that end...

The Funny/Interesting Lore Bits

According to the record notes, Lappland is actually very polite and cordial with most people save for her dark sense of humor and Lappland teasing people with said dark humor.

Despite her politeness, the majority of people she interacts with can still tell she’s really off her rocker and are generally pretty nervous around her.

Her interactions with Texas, despite Texas’s attempts to avoid her, seem to be neutral at best and mildly awkward at worse, at least on the outside. Lappland’s voice lines seems to hint that she really doesn’t plan to purposely agitate Texas and just generally likes being in her presence.

Lappland is relatively nice to the other Penguin Logistic girls, but they feel really awkward when around her.

Lappland’s voice lines seemed to hint that she respects Texas’s situation enough to keep her mafia past private, as she politely refuses to go into details about it when asked and hints that if the information comes out it’ll be from Texas, not her.

Lappland is an extreme battle maniac, and most of her voice lines involves her discussing how much she wants to fight and do battle for just about any cause regardless of the morality behind it.

Small Theories

Again, not really a theorist guy, but I do have some funny theories I wanna’ throw out after doing all this research and peeking into the files. So with that said...

Due to Lappland using katanas to compliment her arts, her general chuuni-esque voice lines, and her onboard voice line sounding like an over-the-top shounen character, there is a high possibility that Lappland is a giant weeb.

For all the Lappland-Texas shipping in this community, Lappland seems to have the strongest reaction and most passionate voice lines toward Projekt Red in her voice lines where she states if she fights Red she will (1) die immediately and (2) likely have an orgasm. Despite this, she still wants to fight Red to an almost obsessive level, thus leading me to conclude that Lappland is, in fact, a bottom with a submission kink.

Anyway, that’s it for me tonight. Might do another lore dive in the future and share my findings.

The trailer is awesome and your writing style is really in synch with the show. When they do give us season 5, I'm sorry but I won't be able to separate this story from the real thing. Do you work for Titmouse or Brendon or someone? This is one of my top ten favorite Metalocalypse stories at this point and I really look forward to new chapters.

Well, I can't thank you guys enough for all the support when I release these comics and I'm thrilled there's interest from our little community when the show's going through production (or just downtime in general). It's a real treat to be a thing that others look forward to reading and I do not take it for granted.

That said, no, I'm still not working with or for the show in any capacity. My stories are just pulled from theories I have, based on the clues in the canon and the albums, etc. I could very well be wrong about where all or any of it is going, but hey... that's why fiction is so much fun, am I right? And unless you have inside-info, I doubt we'll ever see a fifth season of MTL. I'm just plain stoked we're getting an ending, myself. And if some stuff ends up hanging and unanswered, I have a feeling we can count on each other to fill in those gaps in fanfic.

gonna post this on my main blog instead of my homestuck side blog (though I'm gonna reblog it there) but here are the homestuck characters poison from street fighter and final fight would get along with and hate if she were the beta kids, beta trolls, alpha kids, and alpha trolls age (as well as if she were in the comic).

beta kids:

-poison gets along with all the beta kids equally. she loves doing music with dave and wants to introduce them to industrial rap (she probably has a super obscure music taste. in my heart.) she writes wizard fanfic with rose but she doesn't like the rationalist fanfiction rose does (I didn't forget rose wrote ratfic in canon) because she doesnt understand why people have to be rational when her SUPERIOR genre, emofic, should be more popular instead. emofic btw is where characters act completely irrational and always make the most irrational choice for Drama Purposes. because poison likes drama. she loves june/john the best and connects most with her and wants to make movies in june's backyard starring her, june, and her adoptive family hugo, abigail, and roxy. she also loves making furry art with jade and loves to make weirder and weirder fursonas to the point it becomes postfurry, which jade kinda freaks out over because "poison I dont think toasters have breasts, wear clothes, and have dog ears and a full head of scene hair! it's scientifically impossible!" and then poison's like "it's POSTfurry, jade, you wouldn't get how my toastersona is inherently awesome." overall 13-16 year old poison is besties with the beta kids and would be besties forever with them.

alpha trolls:

-poison loves every troll except for three: equius (for obvious reasons relevant to her character), gamzee (post murdertroll arc), and eridan (for obvious reasons relevant to her character). she hates vriska up until she can show poison that she can redeem herself. her troll Besties are tavros (he reminds her of hugo), nepeta (who WOULDNT want to be besties with nepeta), aradia (I just see similarities with pre ghost aradia and poison), kanaya (same as aradia), terezi (again, I see similarities between her and terezi as well), feferi (she's a fun fat fish girl), and karkat and sollux are Kind Of Okay I Guess. overall she likes most of the trolls except equius, gamzee, and eridan and only likes vriska if she promises to change (because vriska is like juri and that's how I feel she'd feel about juri han in canon and not like in aeolus edge where juri has more gremlin adhd juri characterization than her actual personality in canon).

alpha kids:

-okay so i've only heard stuff about this part because I've never gotten to part 6. But imo: I think poison would get along with all of them. Yes, even dirk. Especially Dirk, because he's like Cody travers and she likes Cody travers in an exasperated mom way.

beta trolls:

-again, I've only read analysis and theory posts about these guys but I think her besties would be latula, damara, mituna, and porrim. As soon as kankri starts talking about misandry she'd clock him in the face and refuse to stop punching him until someone has to haul her off of him. She hates Cronus and is tempted to fight him on sight every time she sees him. I don't think she'd like aranea or meenah either. She doesn't talk much to meulin but she thinks she's sweet and cute. Everyone else she kinda has no involvement with.

Any street fighter fans AND homestuck fans (rare venn diagram, I know) have anything to add?

Me: GenX goth girl who picked up her first issue of Sandman back in 1989 and has read the series through more times than she can count.

Despite months of upheaval and being dubbed a "vile deviant" for writing kissy fanfic, I did it: my fic for this year's @theterrorbigbang, Something Rich and Strange.

Harry Goodsir's life, imagined as a garden of forking paths. It's 1848 and he is dying in a tent on King William Island. It's 1849 and he is having yet another tiresome argument with the administration of Surgeons' Hall over funding for the museum while he waits for his friend Edward Forbes to return from the Arctic. It's 1854 and he's serving in the Crimea with James Fitzjames. It's 1861 and he is collecting butterflies under the watchful eyes of asylum orderlies. It's 1870 and he is walking on the beach near Fife with his children. It's 1886 and Silna holds his hand as he breathes his last. All of these things are true.

series masterlist characters: albedo, childe, kaeya, xiao genre: angst? is that what you would call this?? i don't know. summary: with so much backstory and lore, there are bound to be fan theories on the different characters in genshin. what happens when our streamers read some... unfortunate endings regarding you? notes: i normally don't look at theories... ugh mihoyo why. anyway, i made the written portions before the bullet points act as a theory fic or something similar to that :)

"i have the utmost faith in you, traveler," you mutter as the star on your neck seems to crack. your neck begins to split apart and light pink light glows from underneath it. the cracks travel throughout your body.

your hands are pitch black and your upper arms are pink with a soft gradient connecting the two colors. you shake and tremble in what remained of your dragonspine camp. several chemicals and glass shards are scattered across the dirt floor.

"please. as my... former assistant. stop me."

albedo almost closed the tab right there.

the only thing stopping him is his chat, who is just freaking out about the fan theory comic sent to him.

the notebook on his desk, which still had a camera pointed at it, was filled with frustrated scribbles and illegible drawings.

he almost broke his pencil.

he just wants to leave.

he's been streaming his reaction to plenty of fan theories about genshin's universe, such as paimon's origins and possible endings for the other characters.

he thought that you would have fun happy theories.

no.

not at all.

remember when i said he would pretend nothing bad is happening to you during his first meeting?

yeah, he held that denial until now.

now he's forced to confront the (very possible) idea that you will be a boss he'll have to fight later.

he absolutely loves the person who made the art.

he absolutely hates that this idea is the only thing he'll think about for... at least half a year.

"this... this is it for me, huh?" you heave, your body sprawled out on the bloodied grass and dirt. your weapon has long been abandoned, tossed to the side like trash. "you... fought valiantly as always, sweetheart. i'm... i'm proud of you."

it wasn't supposed to end like this. you were never supposed to die here, surrounded by the remnants of your enemies and comrades. you were supposed to go home.

to your family. introduce them to the otherworldly traveler you lovingly dubbed sweetheart.

"ah, i broke my promise, didn't i?" you hum, staring up at the sky through half-lidded eyes. "i told you i would introduce you to my family. my siblings would have loved you... i guess i'll be thrown on the ice for breaking it, won't i?"

he can and will ugly cry at this theory.

he doesn't even care he's caught on stream crying.

it just hits too close to home, especially as a big brother himself.

he'd call his siblings into his streaming room.

and once they come inside?

he'll hug them.

and hold them.

he'll promise to you that if that day ever did come in the game, he'd find a way to get to your siblings and meet them.

it doesn't matter if the game doesn't let him.

he'll either find it on his own in-game (which would probably grant him an achievement) or commission someone to make fanart/write a fic about this encounter.

and until then, he'll make sure to treasure you in his party.

kaeya -

"this soon, huh?" you chuckle dryly. your brows are furrowed as you stand alone. you knew this day would come. why wouldn't it?

fate was always cruel like that. coming to mondstadt for your people then growing close to the outsiders there. it was always cruel. it didn't matter if you were good or bad, fate always had a plan for you.

"what should i do?" you mutter, seemingly weighing your options in your hands. "take revenge for my people... abandon them for a new home... what would be the best choice?"

there wasn't one. and you knew that all too well. you knew you had to make a choice or else the universe would make it for you.

and if you left it up to chance... neither home you had grown with would survive.

can we go back to the simpler times, please?

all he wants is to go back to the beginning of the game when he was oh so naive.

he wanted to boot up the game again and just flirt with you until he passes on.

this theory... will actually be the death of him.

thinking you'll be forced to choose the future of mondstadt, or even teyvat, is an idea he wants to abandon entirely.

he wants to give you a glass of your favorite drink and get wasted until the sun comes up.

he takes this as a personal attack and will refuse to believe it.

but sometimes he does.

and when that happens, it's time for a drink.

just like you.

he'll join you in drinking your sorrows away for all eternity.

xiao -

"it's been years since i last heard the song of the dihua flute," you growl, clutching onto your cracking mask. the object is permanently stuck to your face. the only way to see your strained face was to look closely at the cracks, which allow a sliver of your skin to escape.

it's been a millennium or so since you started protecting liyue in secret. it's been a millennium or so since you started carrying the heavy burden of karmic debt on your shoulders.

"i have promised you that i would strike you down if you were ever taken by the darkness," you comment as your body involuntarily grabs your weapon. "i only wish for you to do the same for me. allow me... to peacefully... join their ranks."

he hates how probable this is.

and he hates how he actually believes this will happen.

he doesn't want to.

but there's too much evidence pointing to it.

all of your lore and the patterns the other yakshas followed...

he'll end the stream right there because he is not dealing with all of these emotions in front of a bunch of people.

he doesn't need that right now.

what will he do when he ends the stream?

probably contemplate everything he's known until this point.

and then look for fan content about you.

happy fan content.

he's the type of person to read fanfics about you.

be it reader insert or just general stories, he'll read it.

he just wants to think about you having happy endings :)

Alright let’s talk GVK spoilers!!!

My reactions as best I can remember them!

- love how Kong is humanized from the very first scene, like every time he shows up he’s humanized so much more than other titans are. If that was at the expense of other titans being made likable I wouldn’t enjoy it so much, but like, Godzilla is made pretty lovable over the course of Monsterverse, Mothra is too, and all the titans featured for long are given recognizable emotions that let us see them as more intelligent and feeling than “just” animals; so all of them are made understandable/likable/sympathetic. But of them all, Kong is the only one really humanized. Which makes sense, because like, big monkey! Basically our distant cousin!

- And they kept playing, like, normal songs for him, which cracked me up.

- I really appreciated how you could SEE the titans in this movie. After all the weather effects to hide the titans in KOTM, there was such a clear difference in this one from the very start. Kong in the daylight! Godzilla makes his first attack at night, and even then you can see him much more clearly than you can for most of KOTM! Nice!

- after the Iwi were portrayed as silent stoic witnesses in Skull Island, I really appreciated that they took an Iwi character, made her a main character, and gave her dialogue and a real role to play in the story while also keeping her deaf/mute. I think that was a good way to improve on the way that the Iwi got got sidelined in the last movie while still maintaining the worldbuilding!

- I didn’t appreciate so much that, y’know, they murdered the rest of her people off-screen in order to do it. Couldn’t they have gone “her parents died so she got adopted by a Monarch agent that was close to her family, but like, the rest of her tribe is fine”? Or at the very least “their island got fucked up so they had to be evacuated but like they’re settling in somewhere else”? “They’re living under this island dome with Kong and they know what’s up and Monarch’s keeping them in the loop and they decided they’re chill with their new dome home, but this one girl likes to go on adventures with Monarch”? Something? Did we have to kill them all off? Y’all make up an entire fictional indigenous culture and then murder them off-screen when you don’t need them? Just let them live.

- a few minutes in I was like “hold on, we’ve got two characters that speak sign language, we’ve got a giant gorilla, gorillas learn sign language, is there any reason they can’t teach Kong?” and then later I was like “OOOOOH!!” Humans and titans learning how to communicate with each other has been one of my favorite themes to explore in Monsterverse fanfic so I was absolutely tickled to see it getting explored in canon, too.

- That said I think it’s hilarious that the girl managed to teach Kong to sign without, like... anybody seeing. Kong’s hands are above the tree line and there are cameras everywhere, how did NOBODY with Monarch see him signing.

- Bernie’s weaponized being an annoying coworker to such a degree it can only be called an art, and I really appreciated it.

- Godzilla’s extra chonky in this movie and I dig it. Roomie noted he was extra crocodilian and I dig that too.

- “There’s been no confirmed titan sightings in three years” I don’t buy that for a minute. They’re BIG. Rodan NESTS IN VOLCANOES. They found a MOTHRA EGG. Humans have A SCARILY WELL-FUNDED ORGANIZATION DEDICATED SOLELY TO FOLLOWING TITANS AROUND. Like, most of the lore in GVK that I don’t personally like, I can be like “eh... I can tweak it just a little bit with headcanons to make it work for me...” but NO confirmed titan sightings? You expect me to believe ALL of them moved underground when we’d previously seen them all prefer to live above ground? You expect me to believe that now that they’re all AWAKE, they learned how to HIDE?? Uh-uh. And at the end of KOTM there was stuff in the credits about using titan droppings as biofuel, obviously they’re still walking around up top! Can’t take that from me. Nope.

- Who the FUCK is Ren Serizawa and how is he related to Ishiro Serizawa? IS he related? Maybe they just dropped the surname as another “yeah this is a Godzilla movie for Godzilla fans” easter egg but I have a hard time believing that he can’t be somehow related to the other character with the Very Important Last Name who was so important in the last two Godzilla movies. If he is related I’m sure it’s been explained in a tie-in comic or the novelization or something, I’ll look it up later.

- I had to look up how much weight huge battleships can carry while writing a KOTM fic where Ghidorah hitches a ride on one, and y’all, I had to pull weird gravity-negating magic to get him to ride on that boat. Godzilla and Kong woulda sunk that boat like a rock. All I could think during that scene is “this wouldn’t work and I know that because I DID THE RESEARCH and I wasn’t even getting PAID.” I’ll choose to believe that Monarch gets special heavy duty ships designed to carry titans but nobody mentioned it because it wasn’t relevant to Kong’s journey.

- The bit where they could see where Godzilla was swimming because he’d got half a ship hooked to him that was bobbing around on the surface, didn’t Jaws do something like that with a buoy? It’s been ages since I’ve seen Jaws. Anyway good reference.

- Insert “they’re gonna need a bigger boat” joke

- I LOVED the part where they shut down all the ships to get Godzilla to leave. Both because, one, it’s a spectacular callback to KOTM’s “turn off all the guns so he knows we’re not a threat” that makes it seem like now that’s just what Monarch knows what to do to get G to chill out, and two... we know that Godzilla backs off either when he’s killed his enemy or when his enemy has yielded to him. At the end of KOTM—and the end of GVK—the act of yielding is presented as very ceremonial and uniform across species: everyone lowers anything they’ve got that could be dangerous (claws, fangs, beaks, axes) and bows to show Godzilla they’re not gonna fight. Battleships, obviously, can’t bow, but even without being inducted into whatever secret titan cultural intricacies might be going on, humans have figured out their own way to “bow” to Godzilla: cut all the power, so their ships can’t move and can’t use weapons. I know the movie presented it as “playing dead,” but c’mon, if Godzilla could hear MechaG power up from halfway around the planet then he could hear that Kong’s heart was still beating, and he’s been around enough boats to know humans can turn them off and on when they want. The humans bowed to Godzilla. He accepted that they yielded and left.

- Mark Russell looked like such a dad in this movie, like he’s retired 100% from being a rugged action hero and now he’s just Pure Dad. I like him better when he’s a dad, it’s a good development for him. He got like 3 lines and I’m like “I appreciate this character development.”

- Despite all my qualms about how conspiracy theories and extremist groups are handled in Monsterverse (and WHICH conspiracy theories they decide to reference), I really love Madison and Bernie’s dynamic. The adult man who’s the excitable wide-eyed believer in every BS conspiracy you can possibly imagine; and then the serious, severe Teenage Girl On A Mission who’s hypercompetent because she was raised for five years by a friggin doomsday cult militia; and despite having wildly different personalities they’re just, in total agreement about everything. Handled just a BIT differently (like, leaving out the more gross IRL conspiracies) they would be a wildly fun comedic duo—especially with Josh the Only Sane Man coming along as the hapless sidekick. And they all play off of each other so well! Both in a comedic sense, and in more serious moments—when Bernie talked about his wife, there was a real moment of empathy between him and Madison with very little said. I’d watch an entire movie just about the three of them. I’d watch a TV show.

- On the one hand I wasn’t too much of a fan of KOTM’s “all titans... are inherently In Tune With Nature... nature has a Balance, because that’s a Real Thing and not an anthropocentric concept to describe how we like nature to act, and they automatically restore it... because they’re like, some kinda borderline divinities or something... we should probably be worshipping them...” thing; but, now that it was totally absent in GVK, I sorta miss it. Like I feel like there needs to be a balance, a few humans who are like “i lowkey worship these dudes?” and a few others who are like “they’re cool but like, that’s a lil extreme” and that neither side be presented as Right in how they regard titans’ relationship with nature.

- “All titans come from THE HOLLOW EARTH” nah I don’t buy that it’s silly. Basically, what I object to is the idea that all titans have some sort of intrinsic similarity (they all come from the same hitherto-unknown location; they all are part of the same pack that has the same alpha; they all are fueled/fed by the same energy source; etc) rather than letting them be SEPARATE species whose only unifying traits are “they’re all big enough to fuck everything up everywhere they go” and “they’re big enough that the typically-insurmountable barriers between different biomes (mountain ranges, valleys, long distances with terrible weather) aren’t insurmountable for them, so even if they’re specialized in different environments they still all have to deal with each other pretty often.” I’ll make some exceptions for convergent evolution (i.e., claiming multiple titans developed similar traits that are relatively easy to spontaneously evolve and a prerequisite for a creature to survive at such a large size). But I can’t buy “this big gorilla has more biologically in common with this big crocodile-iguana than he does with, say, gorillas,” or most of the other “all these titans have THIS IN COMMON” claims that Monsterverse makes, including “everyone’s from hollow earth.” So I’m tossing that out the window and substituting my own headcanons. Some might’ve evolved there but some evolved on the surface. Maybe a majority of them like ducking in and out of the hollow earth like some kind of titan shortcut system. Kong’s species, I can buy, IS native to hollow earth, considering that they built a whole-ass society down there with tools and architecture.

- I’m SO curious about the little underground Kong home, the Godzilla motif in the floor, and the axe that appeared to be made with a Godzilla scute. What’s the story there??? We know Godzilla’s species and Kong’s species are ancient rivals. Is it because Kong’s species hunted Godzilla’s to steal their scutes to make weapons, seeing them as a valuable resource the way, like, early humans considered woolly mammoths a valuable resource—thus making that Godzilla on the floor equivalent to cave art of mammoths made by people who hunted them—until the Godzillas got pissed and started fighting back en masse? Or were Godzillas and Kongs already enemies when Kongs decided to start making weapons out of their corpses? Did they use to be allies, fighting together, with Godzillas voluntarily offering shed scutes and/or bones of their deceased members to Kongs, and that place used to be a shared home until they started fighting?

- What about that power source, is it something that was already there that both Kongs and Godzillas started to deliberately harvest for technology/atomic breath? Or did Godzillas automatically channel that stuff and Kongs exploited/borrowed/traded with Godzillas to utilize it too? Or is the power from Godzillas who collaboratively poured a bunch of power into the place thus that Kongs were able to use it too? I doubt Godzilla’s species CREATED all that weird energy but the question remains of whether, like, they channel it FROM underground, or naturally produce the same thing in their own bodies, or what.

- Godzilla using his atomic breath to dig a hole STRAIGHT TO KONG just to KICK HIS ASS is hilarious. How lucky that Hong Kong just HAPPENS to be straight over Kong’s house! Were all the tunnels to the hollow earth made by pissed off Godzillas who wanted to kick monkey ass??

- I loved the aesthetic of the battle scene in Hong Kong, with the brightly colored neon building outlines, VERY cool look. The choreography of the battle scene was great too, especially

- we literally broke into applause when Kong shoved the axe handle in Godzilla’s mouth. Love it, perfect callback, that was the ONE thing from the original King Kong Vs Godzilla I was hoping to see referenced and there it was.

- You could really see a difference in how Kong and Godzilla fought—Kong doing a better job at using tools and the environment, Godzilla fighting more like a reptile. They seemed to emphasize Godzilla’s more animalistic behaviors in this movie to accomplish that contrast—he was down on all fours and moving like a crocodile more often, he was clawing at Kong’s chest—but even though it seemed a bit different of a combat technique it also didn’t seem out of place compared to how he fought in prior movies. And we’ve already seen that if Godzilla’s involved in a fight and one of the combatants knows how to use the environment, it’s typically not gonna be Godzilla. (See: Ghidorah using the reflection in a building’s windows to see what’s behind him, and recognizing a nearby power source and biting it to juice himself up.)

- So many of Godzilla’s enemies seem to have specialized in negating his atomic breath in order to combat him! The MUTOs directly suppress his ability to use it—and it makes sense that that’s an inborn ability they have, since they evolved to use Godzilla’s species as prey. Kong has a weapon that both acts as a shield to absorb the breath and turn it back against Godzilla’s species—they didn’t evolve to counter Godzilla, but they developed tools once a rivalry happened. Ghidorah’s the exception—which makes sense, since he came from space—but even at that we see him using tactics specifically to take into account Godzilla’s most powerful weapon (such as keeping one head on lookout for when he starts glowing so that they know when they need to dodge).

- LOVED the reveal that MechaG was based off of Ghidorah’s brain, it has vibes of both the Kiryu Saga and the way that Heisei MechaG is based off of Mecha-King Ghidorah. Not the most surprising plot twist, since we’d theorized that they might use San to make MechaG, but I wasn’t 100% sure they were gonna go with it until they finally did. Even when I was going “huh, the mecha pilot’s chamber looks weirdly organic” I didn’t make the connection to WHY until the reveal, lol.

- “Ghidorah’s necks are so long that the heads have to communicate with each other telepathically” that’s COMPLETELY WILD but I love it, it follows very well from their prior portrayal as telepathic empaths in Heisei, it lines up with their emphasis on electricity (because BRAINWAVES AND ELECTRICITY, hey ho movie monster pseudo science!), and it very much compliments my own private headcanon that they’ve got some psychic/mind control abilities.

- The movie ended with both “Godzilla won, technically” but also “since they teamed up as equals, the ending doesn’t FEEL like ‘Godzilla wins, Kong loses’ but rather ‘they both won against a common foe’” and since I’m on both Team Godzilla and Team They Should Be Friends, I’m happy with this outcome. Plus since the last time they fought, the Japanese movie company graciously let the American monster win, so it’s only polite that the American movie company graciously let the Japanese monster win.

- There were just a few too many humans in this movie. I was intrigued by Ren but we didn’t get much out of him, but like I guess somebody had to be in the pilot’s seat other than the Apex CEO. Didn’t care for the author of the hollow earth book, I feel like his role was superfluous. Didn’t need the Apex CEO’s daughter there at all, coulda done without her. How about this, combine all three roles. Instead of having a whole-ass author who knows about the hollow earth, just casually reference that Rick from KOTM wrote a book about it since he was the expert, and (since he wasn’t in this movie) say that he tragically died going to explore the hollow earth himself, and that way we’ve got the book with the “titans are from there” theory AND an excuse to share the “humans die when they go underground” info. Now, have Ren be working for Apex as a pilot for Mechagodzilla, but have him be MechaG’s pilot because he’s also a good pilot in general, and can fly those HEAV things. Have Apex send him to Monarch to be like “hey, you guys trust me right, since I’m Ishiro Serizawa’s relative? We at Apex have heard all about your failed hollow earth expedition, and due to Ishiro I’ve got some past ties to Monarch so I’ve got high clearance with y’all, so I could bring over this useful Apex tech that’d let you go underground and use what I know about hollow earth from my past time at Monarch to help guide things.” Once they’ve got the little chunk of energy stuff and go topside, he hustles it straight to Apex and straps into his seat to run MechaG. Bam, you’ve combined “person who knows enough about hollow earth to help the expedition,” “person who represents Apex’s interests and gets the energy,” and “person who pilots MechaG” into one character, in a way that takes three flat/underdeveloped characters and turns them into a single interesting character with a lot going on and some intriguing ties to the rest of the cast.

Hope you guys are enjoying all these double uploads of art and fanfic =XD I’m just really wanting to leave yall with something to tide yourselves over!

To give some background info, I’ve been: drawing a lot of anatomy, especially legs; drawing a lot of non-FNAF fan art (because I’ve been playing old games as a comfort mechanism--I am absolutely miserable without my things and it sucks)

Page 41: I scribbled a lot of notes... Spoilers for RS Chapter... 17? Some fluff, some crazy!Will. I drew his face upside down and like... ya know without turning the paper, and it came out pretty creepy. I hate it XD I reread RS and I just really love William talking to the Spring Bonnie head. I’d probably watch an entire movie of him just crazy rambling, venting, and crying over this inanimate thing he loves. It’s really where you can tell William has gone off the deep end. Even though this was an idea I had originally, I’m glad that TSE’s actually reinforced the idea somewhat. Rewatching FNAF 6 again cuz why not... my wife and I always joke that Henry would encourage Mike to purposely fuck up the Scraptrap salvage mini-game. XD Drew a little comparison of my Mike and William, since they are very similar. The top drawings were done in a pen I prefer, but I misplaced it (like always) and had to switch to a more liquid pen and... well, my sketches get super sloppy with it since the heavier ink tends to dab and smear. I drew this spoiler sketch for Sammy and the AlmagAfton and was wondering where I got the inspiration from (pretty sure it was End of Evangelion. I’ve been biding my time waiting for my wife’s vacation to watch Evangelion 4.0 and it sucks waiting. End of Evangelion, which 4.0 is a recreation of, happens to be in like my top 3 anime films of all time, so...) ANYWAY, I decided to give CEO!Sammy a rabbit... he names it PJ... I very very much picture him like a Bond villain and that’s OK. =:) Oh, the random girl in the center is my personal OC. I wanted to draw her in the night guard uniform >>; She’s a cop in my universe, anyway...

Page 42: The top left has some scraps from other pages (you aren’t missing anything, I was doing non FNAF comic page planning underneath). These were done in pencil, hence the shade difference. Drawing faces and emotions is a huge comfort for me.Like I said before, I reread RS and it’s such a shame Elizabeth and Charlotte didn’t hang out more “on screen”, as I think Charlotte would be this quiet, mature type; Elizabeth is an impulsive and stubborn type (like their old men, I guess). So, like, Elizabeth could get Charlotte to open up more and Charlotte could teach Elizabeth some manners XD There’s a small sketch in the center of a (badly drawn) William for the scene when the Mangle prototype briefly comes to life due to the dog remnant. It’s a creepy scene in the story, even if the theory is universally hated now. It’s not something I believe, really, but I NEEDED it to happen so William could discover Remnant. There’s more angry William and a few more sketches of CEO!Sammy. I really have fun drawing him and I was refining the idea from the previous page. He’s one of many posessed by Glitchtrap, so I tried to show that... (Also, it bothers me that he looks like Rasputin from Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha 1, BUT its fine. I’ll deal with it.) Please ignore my Aerith sketches. As you guys may have guessed I’m really revving up on inspiration to try and finish Truth Seeker... I think I will be posting more of it soon as the final two chapters of RS come out.
