Did your crochet projects turn out the way you wanted? (Mine almost never do)
Also, who of the Ducks can crochet, and who is dying to learn and takes lessons from the one who knows, but ends up rage quitting and returning to try again and again because thEY WILL LEARN THIS DAMMIT THE YARN WILL NOT DEFEAT ME!?
(Hehe)
Most of the time they're not exact to the picture. However, I think that they generally have the same vibe as the pattern that I follow so I'm good with it. I don't really Like that some patterns have like the exact needle and thread you should use because I feel like that's kind of stifling creativity. Oftentimes I'll read that and go "Don't tell me what to do" and I'll do what I want anyways.
I don't know why but my first instinct for who knows how to crochet is Dean. I could totally see one of the Ducks trying to clown him about it he goes "yeah I crochet it. It strengthens your hands and builds hand-eye coordination dummy!"
With that being said I feel like the one who tries to do it but always quits because they can't figure it out is Julie. Julie is one of those people that's really good at a lot of things. So I don't think that she would be happy if something didn't work out her way. I could also see it being Adam but I don't think Adam would ever technically take up crocheting unless he had to. I say that because Adam is a perfectionist so he would try so hard to get it right. However, he is also very one track when it comes to minds so I don't think he would actually seek it out.
I could also see a Guy knowing how to crochet . He probably learned from his grandma. Guy is the type of person who says fuck gender roles. So he just kind of does what he wants.
Other than that I can't see any of the other ducks really trying it. Or actually doing it as a hobby maybe a few of them would try it as a one-off but not sticking to it just because it isn't there thing.

Let me show you... Youtube - chapter 25
No chapter until the 6th of november because of a project at work.

If you are interested in reading this fic, the tag "#twst lmsyy" will give you all the chapters.
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
Victoria still bought the pillow, in hope that it will solve her sleeping problem. That man could really sell his grandmother for some grapes.
After that she talked about nothing and everything with Sam. How she used to have sleepless nights, how her phD made her a star among her peers, why did he decide to not do any long scholar diploma, was Lucius always this THICC... A little bit of everything.
-For the question, Lucius used to be thin but became a healthy chonky boi after eating too many treats.-
She also bought some colorful wool -named “Hug me tender”- and a couple of crochet. She had found a tutorial about a skull cardigan on YouTube and she decided to do it. Maybe do one for Yuu and a little one for Grim if she had enough courage and her obsession was still on. She was in full arts & craft mode. It often came with her mania and it disappeared when she felt “normal” again. She always had many hobbies when she was in mania that she abandoned when she was in depression. She just hoped she could finish her cardigan in time for Christmas. She was the type of person that thinks that Halloween is all year long and pests when Christmas ads come before Halloween.
She went to her desk, deciding to procrastinate. Crowley never looked at what she did. He didn’t even understand what she did.
She wasn’t in the mood to work. She wanted to crochet and sleep. It was really a particular state of mind, to want to sleep so much and not do it, despite all the efforts in the world. It was… Irritating. She was sleeping the bare minimum for the human body to function, but not enough for the brain to handle the memories of the day. You couldn’t manage to do anything, everything was going too fast since your brain couldn’t handle the information well. Your senses were messed up too, having hallucinations for example.
It was a sh*tty moment to live. Hard days without proper medical help. She could just hope that Crewel’s tonic and the pillow will help her. Speaking of the pillow… She put the pillow on the chair, for her back. It wasn’t meant to be used like this but it would do for the moment.
She began crocheting. From what she understood, she needed to do 116 granny square. It felt good to procrastinate.
She heard a knock on the door. She quickly hidden the yarn. “Yes ?”
Crowley entered, a little timid. “It’s about earlier, Mrs Devi…”
Victoria became annoyed. “What about it ?”
Crowley sweated a little. “Well I wanted to apologize and explain myself, since I couldn’t do it when we clashed.”
[AH!] She spoke like it was evidence. “At the same time, I didn’t want to hear your tiny violin.”
He mimicked as if an arrow struck him in the chest. “Ouch, Mrs Devi can’t you be a little more generous, like me ?”
Victoria blinked for a few seconds. A few very long seconds. “No. I am a French monsieur, I am a pitbull made to grumble.”
Crowley looked at her, jaded. She continued. “Well, Can you explain to me why you want Yuu to attend class so much ?”
Crowley inhaled. “Even if Yuu isn’t from this world, it is important to set an example. It is normal for children to have those phases, but we can’t expect Yuu to miss school at the minor inconvenience.”
The woman blinked. “A… Minor… Inconvenience ? An overblot seems more than a minor inconvenience.”
The man continued. “My point is that, even if for you it seems like a quota, it wouldn’t be possible for a non-mage to enter this school. It really is just a matter of equity. Plus Yuu doesn’t have a guardian to sign his absence note.”
She cried out. “I can just adopt them ! I am old enough to have a child. Like this my mom will stop criticizing my life choices.”
It was the raven's turn to cry out. “How are you going to do that ? You have no paper !”
There was a blank for a few seconds. “Very true… By the way, you wouldn’t know a doctor that accepts to see people without insurance or social security number ?”
Crowley looked at her, interrogative. “I can find that, yes… For when ?”
|I knew he was shady !!]. She answered with all the confidence in the world. “ASAP please, I need to sleep, else I will become more of a handful than I already am.”
Crowley nodded. “Very well… Could you give me your number so I can give you the details when I have your appointment ?”
The woman nodded. “Very well, it’s…”
When she got home, she got a text from Crowley indicating the details of the meeting, in a week from now. [He knows shady people too.] was her only thought. She was going to pay a lot of money for this appointment…
After an hour or so, she opened the windows and began to prepare the wall to be painted again. She decided to go for a more pine tree green than the original olive one. It was more ‘cute’ for her.
Yuu got downstairs at that moment. They were intrigued by her antics. “What are you doing ?”
Victoria smiled. “I am preparing the wall to be painted… Want to help ?”
The Child’s eyes sparkled. “Really ?? What can I do ?”
The woman smiled. “Grab this brush and paint the wall in long vertical then horizontal strokes.”
They grabbed the brush and began to apply her advice. It made her smile fondly. She liked this kind of atmosphere. It reminded her of when at all of her cousins' weddings where she had to animate the painting activities for the children. Such fun times.
She asked. “What did you do today, baby ?”
Without looking away from the wall, Yuu answered. “I read the manuals. There are a lot of things I don’t know here.”
She put her hand on her heart. “Oooh studious like mom- I mean, me ! You need knowledge to adapt to a new environment !”
That night she didn’t sleep much despite the tonic. She was in her bed doing crochet. It is amazing all you can do when you don’t sleep at night. She refused to look at YouTube, she knew better now. Not today blue screen, not today.
She needed to train a lot to do regular stitches. It was hard when you see badly. So doing meticulous tasks had begun to be tedious, uh ? It was going to be a long week…
A voice could be heard. “I love you.”
She knew it deep down. She had auditory hallucinations about her ex.

15 questions and 15 mutuals
I've been tagged by @jeanvanjer <3
1. Were you named after anyone?
Yes, actually. My name was supposed to be Cecília only. My mum fell in love with it, inspired by a Ballerina named Cecília Kerche. But my dad lost his godmother who was named Maria José on the day of their wedding (she had a car crash on the way to the ceremony) and he asked my mum if they could name me Maria Cecília in honour of his godmother. So I'm Maria Cecília after dad's godmother and a ballerina.
2. When was the last time you cried?
Last Thursday when my boss texted me she needed me to come in early and didn't tell me why while a bunch of people were getting called by their managers to be fired. I was sure I was next and I had a panic attack and cried some. I wasn't fired, my boss only had some communication issues.
3. Do you have kids?
I have three dogs does it count?
4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
It's a defence mechanism, alright?!
5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
I... I don't know, I'm not good at that features thing. Hair probably.
6. What’s your eye color?
Brown
7. Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings ALL THE WAY
8. Any special talents?
I... I consider myself to be kinda creative? Is that special? I have a wild memory for some specific stuff too.
9. Where were you born?
Rio de Janeiro born and raised.
10. What are your hobbies?
Reading and writing, or at least coming up with more ideas than I will ever have time to write. I also like video games and crochet (and Yarn hoarding, it's great!) I like pestering my friends as well, does that count?
11. Have any pets?
I have three.... look, I was told they are all dogs, but I question it sometimes. I have the grumpy old lady, Tiana the 13yo Dachshund. She's been grumpy long before she was an old lady, she was born in my house and she's been grumpy ever since. There is my lil sweet angel, has never done anything wrong in her life, Allegra, her mum's a poodle, her dad's a Dachshund, she's a 2yo... dirty cleaning rag that barks, honestly. And there is my lil brainless, clingy fart and snore machine, Penelope, the lunatic 1yo Tasmanian Devil Frenchie. She has three brain cells but not all of them are working at the same time.
12. What sports do you play/have you played?
I played beach Volleyball for a while and I swam for many years as a kid/teen but never seriously. I don't like running or sweating... I'm not a big fan of exercising, truth be told.
13. How tall are you?
1,65m. Not tall, not short, quite average.
14. Favorite subject in school?
English and Literature. I also loved history.
15. Dream job?
I'd be really happy in my job if I was well paid and had better work conditions because I really do love teaching (most of the time). But my dream job was to be a writer, like professionally. Like getting paid to write my stories.

Diary of a Junebug

Crafting cottagecore themed furniture
Intelligence means nothing if you lack kindness and compassion. I once read that on some post a long time ago and it stuck with me since. Spending these past few days with Arabella and Teddy and learning a bit more about that infamous summer they spent overseas that was actually terrible but eye opening in retrospect, it got me thinking about that post again.
The campers and I have been busy crafting furniture these past couple days and it’s been fun. Arabella’s putting together courses on making cottagecore furniture pieces so we’re helping her out by following her instructions to make sure they’re clear and easy to follow as well as make sure the designs work out.
In the process, we’re also helping Teddy fill up her new house. She just moved to a bigger place last month that’s not only closer to the school where she teaches, it’s also in the same neighborhood as her brother’s place. Having upgraded from a small apartment in the outskirts, she didn’t realize how much space she had was until she got everything settled and saw it felt kinda empty. Not wanting to break the bank, Teddy sought Arabella for home decor tips and her timing couldn’t have been better.
So here we are, making a bunch of cute (and functional) cottagecore themed stuff that will be put to good use later on. By the time we’re done I think we’ll have made enough furniture fit for an entire apartment complex!
Arabella’s library of online classes has expanded considerably. While furniture making courses are still her main thing, she’s branched out to other ventures like textiles, painting, bookbinding, and cooking. She has also put up free original patterns for knitting and crochet, which I have saved for when I feel up to it.
I’m especially looking forward to knitting her ballerina top once I get the courage to try a raglan pattern. Hard to believe that after all these years since I’ve picked up the hobby, I’ve been coming across terms and techniques I’ve never heard of that are familiar to most. Then again, I never really delved much into knitting clothes, something I was kinda discouraged from because it’s costly in terms of money and investment. I don’t know, but from my experience knitting a sweater’s one of those things where it’s sorta praised and mocked at the same time. Like on one hand it’s like “Wow! That’s so cool! You must have a lot of patience!” but they also say “You must have too much time on your hands. There’s a lot of better things you ought to be doing”, so it leaves you feeling mixed on whether it’s an accomplishment or a subtle dig at you.
Now that I’m older and have been getting back into knitting - as well as picked up crochet - I’ve fallen into the rabbit hole of following a bunch of mainly knitters. So now I’ve been looking into making my own sweaters, something I feel I have more confidence in now that I have more resources to look into as well as feeling more up to the task. I’ve started with simple patterns - a simple crochet wrap top and a knitted tank top - and they’ve turned out good so likely when the weather starts to get colder, that’s probably when I’ll start making a sweater.
Now I’m picturing myself knitting a cozy chunky wool sweater while enjoying the new decor. Basically living out the cottagecore aesthetic, amirite? Yeah, the nightstand will make for a good place to put all my yarn WIPs. I can already picture all my unfinished yarn projects piling up on there.
Along with Arabella and Teddy, tagging along on this fun adventure of furniture making are Teddy’s brother Royal and his nine year old daughter Dove. Royal has dabbled in carpentry so he’s has been helping Arabella out with her designs over the years. I’ve heard a lot about him and Bessie so it’s nice to finally meet him.
Back in the day, Arabella and Teddy were roommates, living in the big city. Arabella was going through what she called a transitory period before she decided to go back to Isabelle and Digby. Teddy and Bessie were teachers - Teddy at a local high school and Bessie a grade school teacher in the countryside. Before moving to the city Teddy used to live in that small countryside town for a time when she and her siblings moved there. She moved to the city at the suggestion of her cousin, someone who Teddy and Bessie had once looked up to, at least until he turned against them during that infamous summer.
Over the years I’ve heard bits and pieces about what happened that summer. At the time Arabella and Bessie were considering grad school while Teddy wanted a change in career path. Teddy and Royal’s cousin suggested that the ladies come join him to spend the summer attending a seminar, mainly to network with others. Long story short, drama happened, and the guy attempted to sabotage Bessie and Teddy’s careers over a bunch of misunderstandings.
It wasn’t all bad though, Arabella and Teddy said. At least the experience opened their eyes to the ugly side of academia, as in the pretentiousness and classism aspect. I remember Richard saying something similar, how he almost became one of those snobs but was luckily hit with a dose of reality and self awareness.
For Teddy, it kinda helped her realize what she wanted and what she didn’t want. Ever since she was young, she was pushed to climb the ladder of success, to never be satisfied with what you have until you reach the top. So naturally, she felt that she had to advance professionally despite being content with where she was. It wasn’t until after having her career nearly ruined when she realized that she shouldn’t be wasting her time doing something she didn’t feel strongly about. She enjoys teaching and she likes working with teens, so what’s the big deal if she doesn’t get promoted or make huge leaps in advancement? What matters to her is helping kids, whether it’s to understand a lesson or help them figure out their future, that’s why Teddy got into teaching.
As for the cousin, he works at the private school Mimi got expelled from, and is an elitist bootlicker. Teddy said he’s a really smart guy and was like sort of a mentor to her and Bessie, not to mention that he was the reason why they became teachers. But he’s also somewhat insecure, so if he feels threatened by something, he’ll lash out in the worst possible way, and that’s why he tried to ruin Teddy and Bessie’s futures. Royal said he used to feel kinda sorry for him as he was the kind of person who didn’t really have much other than his intelligence, but over time he continued burning more bridges, so while does still feel sorry, he also doesn’t want anything to do with him.
From what I’m hearing, the cousin is the kind of person who should not be in charge of anyone’s futures. Arabella said it best that when he started working for that private school he decided that he liked exerting power more than educating people. I’ve also heard a bunch of not so good things about that school in general and it seems like the perfect place for someone who plays favorites and bullies people into submission. Not to mention that he has a track record of fraud, harassment, suicide baiting - and apparently he’s tame compared to other faculty members.
Outside of that, he’s lost the trust of many friends and family members. Part of it’s because of his strong opinions, which have swung dangerously right over the years. Arabella admitted that while she respected him, he often rubbed her the wrong way. Royal can’t forgive him for two things - harassing Bessie and trying to kidnapping Dove.
The kidnapping is one of those stories that gets worse the more you read up on it. A simple google search will give you the gist of it. Again, how is this guy still allowed to teach, much less have a big influence on a kid’s future?
In the short time before and after Dove was born, Royal and Bessie were going through a bunch of hardships. Financial troubles, illness, homelessness, and finally Bessie’s untimely death - Royal said if it wasn’t for Dove, he wouldn’t know what to do with himself. The trouble started when Royal became seriously ill and though he recovered, he was left disabled. Bessie was stretching herself thin caring for him while having her own health to consider. Then the cousin intervened, claiming to have good intentions but looking back no one’s so sure anymore. He did help out though, but had his own ulterior motives as well.
Then Dove was born and for a while things seemed to be slowly settling down. And then all that changed when a destructive tornado hit, destroying the house and seriously injuring Bessie. She was slowly recovering until she learned that they were homeless - who can blame her? - and that’s when the fight in her went out after holding on for so long. Several weeks later she died from complications from her injuries, which ended up being more extensive than previously thought. In Royal’s words, she held on as long as she could - far more than any one person can withstand - and that took a toll on her until she couldn’t hold out anymore.
When Royal was at his most vulnerable, that’s where the cousin took control of the situation. Up until then he had been trying to manage Royal and Bessie, convincing them to pack up and join him in the city, making Royal feel useless in the process so he could solely depend on him. He had offered to care for Dove for a couple weeks while Royal regained his strength, which turned out to be a total lie.
Instead he took off with Dove and refused to bring her home, claiming that she had no future with a single disabled parent. Apparently he was planning to fight for her custody but thankfully he wasn’t able to get there. It’s kinda similar to that case Sophea’s working on, minus the kidnapping. The whole thing made the news for a bit before the school intervened to cover it up, still, the story got out anyway and somehow he’s still there. I wonder if Mimi had to deal with him as a professor during her time there.
Since then, Teddy and Royal haven’t heard from him. Royal, with help from Bessie’s family, eventually got back up on his feet. Almost losing Dove was a wake up call for him as he had been doing nothing but feel sorry for himself since his illness. He and Dove stayed with Bessie’s parents for a time before moving in their own place. By then, Teddy had returned to town after being disillusioned by the big city when the school she worked at closed in favor of being replaced by a parking garage. Now she teaches at the local high school where she and Bessie graduated from.
Thankfully, life has been quiet for Royal and Dove since then. Dove is said to have inherited Bessie’s fighting spirit and vivid imagination. I have read some of Bessie’s poems that she had posted online and she has a way with imagery. From how Arabella, Isabelle, and Digby speak highly of Bessie, I wish I could’ve met her.
As expected, Arabella’s instructions are informative and easy to follow. Just some minor tweaks here and there with design adjustments and clarity, the usual. Arabella is not the type who puts something out until it’s up to her standards so it’s important to make sure things are running smoothly. These furniture pieces are more on the intermediate/advanced level so it takes a bit more work, which I don’t mind. After running this camp for almost five years, I guess you can say I’ve somewhat become a pro at crafting furniture!

My psych says that i am emotionally dissociated and this is the reason that in the past 6+ months i have actually felt a single emotion. The rest of the time i feel nothing. Absolute apathy. I get physical sensations of emotions (like tight chest when i would usually feel anxious, widespread tension/pain when i would feel angry, sinking chest and nausea when i would usually feel sad) but i dont actually *feel* the emotions. I have been explaining it like how it feels when getting a cavity fixed, the dentist numbs up the tooth so you dont feel the actual pain, but you still experience the physical sensations like the vibrations, smell, and scraping. She says its because i am still living with my ex and even tho we are friends, i still havent been given the chance to step back and actually let myself process all of my feelings.
Thats probably one of the reasons i am just now realizing im probably really depressed. Which would make A LOT of sense given a lot of the things that have happened in the past 6 months. Like. I broke up with my fiance the same day i got the money for a deposit for a wedding venue, i have lost not one, but three of my cats. And i never got to tell any of them bye because they live with my parents and even tho i didnt want them living outside, i didnt get a voice in the matter since i no longer lived there and the house went from my 2 parents, to 4 adults and a baby and they just didnt have room. Two of them were just really old and we think they did the animal thing and just went off somewhere to die alone and it *hurts* because the first one to go was my favorite because of how sweet he was and who i always slept with in my arms when i would visit (i have struggled so hard to spend the night there with him gone). But once he was gone the other two were gone within the next two months and none of them were expected (like we knew bandit and bunnie were old but we expected to them to pass away inside the cat pen where they stayed every night like every barn cat before them had and that way we could bury them up on the hill, but it didnt turn out that way). I have also developed more concerning health symptoms and have gotten no answers to them. And now my mom has broken her shoulder and isnt going to be able to work for the next 3 months and even tho shes getting workers comp, her pay is significantly less and shes my sole source of income right now. And so i am always already feeling guilty about spending any money but now i feel worse about it and am having panic attacks because i got fast food once this week because i was flaring too bad to make anything myself even tho my mom gives me money *specifically* so i can get food and stuff when i am in a flare.
But yeah i have realized i am almost certainly depressed and the funny thing is that the way i realized this was a tumblr poll. It was asking what peoples hobbies were and i couldnt answer it because in the past year i havent really had anything hobby wise. Ive mostly stopped reading, i am not doing pour paintings, not doing my paracord stuff, and anytime i decide im going to finally start knitting i just end up picking up the yarn and staring at it for a bit before setting it back down and going back to sitting on the couch with the tv on in the background for background noise.
Im going to see my psych on wednesday and i hope to talk to her about this but i also dont know what there is to do about it. Probably raise my antidepressant but idk. Im not even sad so i dont see the point in raising my antidepressant because idk what being not depressed would change because were pretty sure the apathy is because of current circumstances and not just because of depression idk. I just want everything to be normal again

I was talking with my friends about the knew champion, though we all have some mixed opinions the general consensus was we're pretty excited. One thing lead to another in our rambling and I mentioned that why would she make a doll with the royal crest? Was it for her or maybe a child? It was a sad theory but even in the trailer Isolde and Viego are both looking at her stomach. Eitherway struck with inspiration I wrote a fanfic around this idea.
Tumblr media
⚠️So major warning!⚠️ This features pregnancy and the death of the carrying mother. Don't read if these are sensitive topics for you!
◇~~~~~~~~~~~~~◇
Viego sat at the head of a long table, advisors, treasurers and practically everyone else with any authority in the kingdom sat along the sides. They all debated back and forth about what to do next, something about the financial situation of the kingdom, but their king couldn't bother to listen, instead, he sat there with his head resting upon his hand. He dreamt of his queen, his lover, and the only girl who could seem to hold his attention, Isolde. She had been feeling sick lately, was she going to be okay while he was away? How dare this meeting keep him from more important matters, he thought.
"Your highness." A voice snapped him back to what was happening around him, along with a tap on his shoulder. Kallista, his trusted General was who the hand belonged to, she stood behind him like a shadow whenever his kingly duties were to be fulfilled, being a far larger help than Viego ever was. "What is it you want to do?"
"Whatever you all can come to agree on. It matters not to me." Viego half-heartedly replied.
"You are the king. And this is your kingdom. It does matter to you." The treasurer replied, barely holding back his anger. Luckily however someone else spoke up suggesting a compromise of their plans, taking the heat off Viego for the time being. Finally, after what felt like an excruciatingly long time, the meeting was over, the king being the first to stand and leave.
Although Kallista followed at first for his protection, he waved her off, requesting to be alone or for better phrasing, alone with his love. She did just that, having other duties she could attend to with the time. Now alone he entered his chambers, he couldn't help but smile at the sight of Isolde. She sat at the end of the bed seeming to be waiting for him, she looked happy, though nervousness filled the cracks in her smile. "Viego… there is something that I need to tell you."
His smile morphed to concern as he shut the door behind him, moving to sit by her side, "what is it my stars?"
She took a long pause and a deep breath, then spoke, turning to look Viego in the eyes. "We're going to have a child." A warm smile grew on her face, clearly happy about the announcement.
Viego seemed just as happy, leaning over to wrap his arms around her, kissing her on the neck. "Finally someone to love just as much as you." He whispered in her ear. Finally leaning away getting his joy contained he asked a question. "How can you be sure?"
"All the signs were there. So I went for testing. All the best they could offer. Every single one said yes. I should have told you sooner but I wanted to be sure."
"The surprise was well worth the wait." He said, unable to stop himself from kissing his love again.
"I'm sure she'll be strong and kind. Just like you." Isolde ran her fingers through Viego's long hair, hoping to see his face better.
"She?" He raised his brow.
"Yes. Many of the tests pointed to a girl."
"That's lovely. I'm sure she'll be just as beautiful as you are." Isolde could only reply with a light-hearted chuckle at the complaint, something she received from Viego daily.
"I can't wait to meet her." She smiled looking down at her stomach, still yet to show any sign of a child.
"She'll have a kingdom when we do." He said looking as well. Despite the arrogance he knew he was not fit to rule, he never was. This was his brother's throne, cast upon him unexpectedly. He didn't know what to do. So he could only hope to raise their daughter to be better. The lovers spent the rest of the night talking about their future, and the future of their child. This had to be the second happiest day of their lives, only beat by the night of their wedding, and just as they did then, the two fell asleep in each other's arms.
Time passed, though the king, holding little concern for those of his kingdom made no effort to announce the news to the kingdom, word had gone around inside the castle of the Queen's expectancy. Though little of them could be excited with the kingdom's trouble still being front and center, this only serving to distract the king more. Isolde remained blissfully unaware of these issues while Viego actively ignored them. Mutters went around of how this problem might have been avoided if the king had chosen to marry another royalty as they advised, the kingdoms being able to partner and help each other. But his heart was set on the peasant lady he had fallen for at first sight, and no one could deter him.
Now Isolde sat in her workshop, a small room filled with her many supplies from her days as a seamstress. A hobby she had kept even when ascending upon the throne. It was obvious to anyone close to her she loved her days before belonging to the kingdom, often dressing in surprisingly casual clothes when not among the public. Simple dresses with aprons atop them. All sewn herself. Even Viego couldn't convince her to ease up on this part of herself. Despite having more than enough resources and power, Isolde sat alone in her workshop sewing small garments for her soon to be daughter. Though it was possible the test could be wrong, such a thought never even passed her by. Blinded by the idea of raising a princess with the world ahead of her. Never having to work long tiring nights as she had done before her new life.
A candlelit up the simple room, as a music box slowly turned on the desk as music, the same she had received as a wedding gift, and treasured since that day. Isolde and Viego dancing to its tune on late nights, twirling endlessly. Having now made enough clothes to last the first year of the child's life at all stages, Isolde had to start making other things for her to fill her excitement. Laying on the table in front of her was a doll. Cute as she could possibly make it. The spitting image of everything Isolde thought of a princess, something she struggled to see herself in. She was almost done, large bright blue yarn hair filling her head, a frilly dress adorning her body, and button eyes smiling towards the sky. She was just finishing the last touches, sewing to it the ribbon brooch she wore with many of her formal outfits. It carried with it the crest of the royal family, a sign that she would be part of theirs. Viego entered the room just as the music came to a slow, the door creaking open to announce him.
"Hard at work my love?" He asked, laying his hands over her shoulder to look at what she could be making now.
"Yes. I just want everything to be perfect when she's here." Isolde smiles, brushing his hands off and standing. Bringing the doll across the room to sit on the pile of clothes she had made.
"You shouldn't have to work so hard, let others do the work for you."
"I know, I know. But I enjoy this. Really. This is more than I could have ever asked for." Isolde commented, looking over the collection of colorful fabrics she had access to.
"Just don't tire yourself," Viego advised, stepping behind her once more resting his head on against hers, one hand resting on her stomach, which had now formed a small bump to it. "Come. Rest with me. You can return here another day."
"Mmh." She nodded in agreement, resting her hand atop Viego's, they were tired and worn from her grip on the needles and scissors she had worked with all day. She blew out the candle and left the dark room by the side of her beloved.
However the day she returned to her workshop didn't come. Instead collecting dust along the shelves of clothing and the doll of the little princess. The kingdom had enough of the king who was casting their land into ruin, attempting to strike him down, they failed, taking Isolde instead. Though the dagger only grazed her arm, the strong poison acted quick. She wasn't quite dead. Not yet. Instead in a state of lasting sleep. This was a twisted hell for Viego, watching his queen's life drain day by day, as he could do nothing about it. He never left her side but commanded everyone who could to search for a cure. He was advised against this, begged to stop as every last resource of the kingdom went into saving her. He didn't care. What was the point of having a kingdom if his queen couldn't rule it by his side? If his daughter wouldn't be here to see it.
Everything he could do wasn't enough though. Isolde silently passed one night, Viego by her side. He couldn't accept this. Never. He had seen magic before. Even rumors of immortality, something he remembers hearing his uncle ran to pursue. He knew there was still a chance. He grew more hateful by the day, locking himself away with his wife's body.
Finally, Kallista, his most trusted General had arrived back from her searches. The torment of the situation had made the king come to despise her, the one who deflected the attack to his stars. He would have killed her on sight if not for her news. An island of blessed water, able to heal the queen. Though when she heard the news of the queen's fate she resisted helping, she gave in. Viego carefully lifting Isolde's body, he carried her to the docks, sailing off to their last hope. His last hope for his family and the last hope for Isolde's hard work.
The rest of the kingdom joined the workshop in collecting dust after that.

Headcanons for Bakugou, Deku and Shinsou where they get hit with a quirk that lets them see a moment in the future and they see their crush looking probably the best they ever looked and is in their arms when they see their crush again back in present time they're all flustered or maybe they start pursuing them. Maybe something about the colour they wore in the future glimspe gets brought up in conversation?
sure sure!
Tumblr media
Bakugo Katsuki
Tumblr media
○ when he gets hit with the quirk what he sees definitely surprises him
○ he sees you next to him, all bundled up adorably in a peach colored knitted scarf and winter coat, walking away from the school together
○ but he doesn’t think much about it until one day his mom comes home with a bag full of yarn while he’s staying home on break and says she’s working on a new project for her job when that same peach color catches his eye in the bag
○ and it gets him thinking, like this has to be more than just a coincidence right?
○ so when he overhears you talking to Tsuyu about how you wanted a new scarf for winter he instantly grabs the chance and asks (more like demands) for the yarn from his mom
○ Bakugo makes the scarf. his mom is very surprised at her son’s uncharacteristic hobby that has suddenly manifested but he refuses to answer any of her questions
○ and when he’s finished he just corners you after school and gives you the scarf, and confessing his feelings for you
○ he’s much more nervous that he thought he would be, since he was pretty sure you would accept his feeling based on his vision of the future, but he still can’t calm the butterflies in his stomach as you look at him with your captivating eyes
○ “That’s so sweet, Bakugo, thank you. I’ve liked you for a long time too. “
Tumblr media
 Midoriya Izuku
Tumblr media
○ in his flash of the future Midoriya sees you in a limited edition All Might tshirt in his bedroom
○ not his dorm room, but like his house bed room
○ which is extremely surprising considering there were less than 100 of those shirts ever produced and he was pretty sure you weren’t such a diehard fan of All Might or he would have noticed way earlier
○ then it finally clicks for him that oh it’s his limited All Might shirt you were wearing
○ and if that wasn’t enough motivation for him to man up and ask you out nothing would be
○ that night as he mentally prepares himself to ask you out tomorrow he can’t stop thinking about how good you looked in his clothes in the scene he saw from the quirk
○ and baby boy can’t wait to make you his so that he could see the sight in real life as soon as possible
○ so he asks you to meet with him after school, and he timidly tells you how he feels about you, asking if you could give him a chance to be with you
○ of course you agree, since you had had a crush on him for a while too
○ “Izuku? Are you alright?” you ask as you step out of his bathroom after taking a shower, snapping him out of his thoughts
○ and as he turns to look at you he breath is taken away by what you’re wearing
○ you’re wearing the tshirt, just like how he had saw in the vision the quirk had given him so long ago, and he turns into one bright tomato as he stares at you slack jawed
○ “you have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for this, Y/N. God, you look so pretty right now.”
Tumblr media
 Shinso Hitoshi
Tumblr media
○ when he gets hit by the quirk and sees you sitting across him all dolled up, he’s most definitely convinced that he’s just having a fever dream
○ after all, why would you ever like someone as bland and uninteresting as him, especially when you were in the hero course and he was just some nobody from the general course?
○ but even if he thought it would never happen in real life that image of you looking so pretty was something he would never forget
○ and just doesn’t really think too much of it (not that he doesn’t think about it, of course, just doesn’t take it seriously)
○ so even as he joins the hero class and becomes friends with you, his longtime crush, he doesn’t really try and make any moves on you, not wanting to ruin your friendship
○ at this point you’re already in your third year, and Shinso’s pretty much forgotten about the whole future thing
○ that is, until one day he’s shopping for your birthday present at the mall and a familiar-looking necklace catches his eye
 ○ he’s not sure where he’s seen it but he thinks it would look nice on you so he gets it anyways
○ that night when he’s looking at the necklace it hits him- it’s the exact same one from that “scene from the future” or something
○ he kind of freaks out a little because that was not something he was expecting
○ but it really does make him reconsider how that little vision of his just might be real
○ that there’s a small possibility that you just might reciprocate his feelings
○ when he gifts you the necklace the next day and sees the light blush dusting your cheeks it gives him a surge of confidence
○ and he’s just like fuck it it’s now or never i have to at least try so he just blurts it out
○ “i’ve liked you ever since first year Y/N.”
○ he’s not expecting you to throw your arms around him and kiss him
○ he’s so relieved when you tell him that you felt the same way, but he also can’t really wrap his head around the fact that someone as amazing as you would like someone like him
○ so now you’ve got to make up for lost time you spent pining for each other and show him just how much he deserved to be loved

Allies + Canada and Axis + Prussia walking in on their toddler singing Disney songs while wearing a costume that matches that certain Disney movie (like for example Germany walks in on them singing I’ll make a man out of you and the toddler is dressed like Mulan, you decide the song the toddler sings that fits which country and who they’re dressed up as)
QwQ omg my favorite Disney princess is 100% The girl from brave! (I'm kicking myself for forgetting her name...) And you know this prompt is gonna be super cheesy lmao and I'm stretching it across general kid movies!
Dad!Allies and Dad!Axis catching their child dressed up as their favorite Character!
Allies-
America:
He could hear Monster's Inc. playing for about, the fourth time today
The only difference this time was he could hear his kid going "Rawr!" Every five seconds.
The man got curious and just about busted a gut from restraining his laughter.
His kid had Purple colored paper taped all over them. It was hard to tell but they were dressed up as Boo!
This gave him an idea!
Running up to this spare attic he found a purple blanket and an unused mop and some googly eyes.
Walking back to his kid he helped them get on his make shift Boo outfit, and the kid was ELATED about it. No more paper cuts for them!
The best part was when he asked them why they dressed up as Boo, they told him it was because Boo was brave, and wasn't scared of monsters, just like their dad!
Cue their kid getting America a box of tissues while he cried on the floor.
England:
He wasn't a fan of American movies, but his kid was, so what his kid wanted, was what they got.
It... It was Shrek.
At first England kind of disliked the movie, but the more he watched it with his kid, the more he liked art the interpretations of the fairy tale characters.
And this was an extremely special moment for england.
Around the fifth time watching it he saw his kid point to one of the characters and say "That's not what tinker bell looks like!"
England had immediately spit out his tea, and started questioning his kid about it.
This was how he learned that his child had the same ability to see fairytale creatures as he does!
Soon enough he had his kid running around grabbing different blankets and scarfs to try and recreate what she really looked like!
Now he has a child sized Tinkerbell running around, Tinkerbell herself chasing after them playfully.
France:
He has the whole Disney collection from start to finish, and it's terrifying.
His kid is also badly addicted. But especially to Little Mermaid.
The thing is, France has his child completely spoiled, and has a bunch of maids around the place. One of which loves nothing more than sewing together cute outfits for the kid.
It's not that France doesn't have the time, oh no, this was the kids idea, and their idea only.
One day, after a grueling work day, he's in his room, trying to rest. His kid comes in wearing a trench coat.
France is courious as to why, and his mood is immediately lifted as the small child acts out a shortened play of The Little Mermaid, all costumes included.
It was amazing how well they moved with all the clothes they were wearing, and taking them on and off again as quickly as possible.
By the end France had given them a standing ovation, and they both happily napped on his bed due to the amount of physical exhaustion.
You can 100% catch France bragging about his little star to the other countries when he gets the chance!
China:
China's rubbed off on his child with several things.
One of those things is his love for old culture and reminiscing memories.
so surprise! Mulan is 100% a movie in the house... Except his kid has become brutality obsessed with the dragon.
One day China's fancy res shirts goes missing, and he finds it on his child while they were watching Mulan.
Mimicking everything Mushu does.
China has to hold his hand over his mouth as his kid eventually trips over the long shirt and starts saying things like "This is disrespectful to dragons!" And "If this shirt has a cow, it is now dishonored!"
Eventually china, very shyly, dresses up as Mulan while his kid isn't watching.
The kid proceeds to act like they're meeting a princess at Disney, not recognizing their own father.
Russia:
Unlike him, his kid really, REALLY loves the snow.
It's something that he hopes his child grows out of because he's heard them sing 'let it go' about 50 times.
It was very cute at first. Now he wants to beat the CD with his pipe (and then America for gifting them the movie).
But then the SECOND on came out.
Now his child parades around as Elsa, hitting high sqeaky notes, and following around the cat.
Cat is having more fun then the kid to be honest.
Russia was about to try and distract his kid until they asks him to play dress up with them
The sparkle in their eyes made him immediately say yes.
They wanted him to be Christoph, and when he asked them why he just about cried.
"Your cool, funny, nice, and you have the same nose!"
That's it. That broke him, he's trying not to cry
Has never knitted a dress so fast in his life, and has a very similar outfit to Christoph as well, so the two of them are parading around the house with their cat trailing behind them. His own little knitted Olaf costume on!
Canada:
Canada's kid can be rebellious at best, but seeing them dressed up as maleficent almost made him choke.
Is his kid turning into a villain!?
Nope. Turns out they just thought she was really cool, and felt bad that she wasn't invited to the child's birthday, or whatever.
And to be honest, yeah, that's kind of cruel.
Canada had bought the Sleeping Beauty film via America's suggestion, and wasn't dissapointed.
And now it was totally worth it since his kid was going through their "I have one outfit and no matter how many times my horns won't fit through the car door, I refuse to take them off" phase.
He enjoyed watching his kid act out a happier ending dressed as the Disney villain. And even snuck a few pictures of them prancing around and singing.
It brought tears to his eyes knowing that no matter what, his kid can see the good in anyone, and maybe one day that will come in handy!
Axis-
Germany:
I need to make it immediately clear, that Germany and China now officially plan playdates for their Mulan obsessed children.
Except Germany's kid is obsessed with Li Shang, and the "let's get down to business" song.
He's so proud of his kid not being afraid to show their little clumsy moves in order to show people they mean business.
Even if he can't take them seriously when they are this small and cute.
It starts out when they wanted to be a character from Mulan on Halloween, not yet seen the movie, but all that was left was a mock up Li Shang costume.
It was game over.
The kid would sing to his German shepherds as if they were their shoulders and bark dog commands.
Germany is a proud father now.
And the playdates I mentioned earlier? Oh yeah it's twice as cute when you have a tiny red dragon going "I HAVE TINY ARMS I CAN NIT BE MAN!"
Italy:
Beauty and the beast.
Italy's kid adores Bell, and has memorized every line, and dance.
One point gave him a heart attack catching them climbing a latter.
The best part is, Italy kept his chibi outfit from when he lived under Austria's rules. Which was at some point died blue, but now he has a tiny Bell running around more than gleefully.
Italy even joins in with him, and honestly it's the cutest thing.
Surprisingly his kid is really good with singing, and this is their new favorite hobby now.
Italy is also really emotional over the fact his kid wasn't scared of Beast either. His little tike is going to be a brave one, Italy is going to make sure of it!
Japan:
Yeah, Disney movies don't exist in his house, but Studio Ghibli 1000% does.
His kid is obsessed with Ponyo!
One day Japan was really concerned over how quiet his kid was being until he found them in the koi pond, trying to talk to the fishes, and heard him name them Ponyo 1-5.
His heart dank because he wanted to tell them the fish had no clue what they were saying, but at the same time.
Kawaii overload.
Small child talking to the koi, and enjoying the water, and muddy rain puddles? Oh yeah. That's adorable.
Eventually he makes them a fish outfit and it's a good thing it was mostly foam because the first thing his kid did was splash around in the puddles.
Japan filmed it.
He's planning on embarrassing his kid when they turn 16.
It's payback for not letting him watch the movie with them earlier.
Prussia:
Oh no. His kid has become obsessed with Rapunzel.
"how is that an issue?"
Well when your kid developed some of your impulse control issues, you will find them trying to crawl out of a window to escape their unlawful step mother/Prussia.
He was extremely confused about it at first as well. Untill his kid said, something something RAPUNZEL!
Then it clicked, and he was able to laugh about it.
Prussia hasn't seen the movie himself, and when he watches it he thinks Rapunzel is so quirky and super AWESOME! Especially because his kid now has a bunch of yarn on their head.
Not gonna lie, they both dress up as Rapunzel and try and fight each other with the long wigs.
Which is a sight to see first thing in the morning. Just ask Germany.
I know I didn't answer the prompt exactly, but I couldn't resist making some wholesome content! Also-
HER NAME IS MERIDA I JUST REMEMBERED IT LIKE, 3 DAYS AFTER THE FIRST DRAFT! THE CHICK FROM BRAVE IS MERIDA!!!

matchups.
hihi :’) way overdue – but here are the matchup requests that i received.  please check for yours below if it was sent in!  ctrl+f on desktop for your mbti/zodiac, or something you remember adding in if the post is too long to scroll through.
Tumblr media
Hello! I'm INFP and 98% Type 4 & 92% Type 9. I'm a sun Pisces & moon Aquarius. I'm fairly introverted but can be kinda silly if I'm trying to be social. I'm also empathetic & sympathetic with plenty of self-confidence issues. My main hobbies are playing games, looking into social issues, thinking about game characters, etc. I keep bouncing between visions but Geo might be fitting since current Geo characters are a little more on the introverted side. Not sure if I'm late but wanted to try <3 I'm the INFP Pisces & Aquarius Geo asker and forget to mention that I'd like 1 platonic and 1 romantic!
romantic match-up: kaeya.
although it might be odd at first to pair him with a sensitive and introverted soul such as yourself, on the contrary, kaeya won’t have any issues relating to your emotional nature, even if outwardly it doesn’t seem so (behind his light-hearted and diplomatic dialogue, he’s got a transactional relationship with the knights he’s “loyal” to; his own brother is distasteful towards him; and he’s got an agenda that goes against everything he currently lives with.)  he’ll get a knack out of teasing you when the mood is fitting, and while he may not be the one to give you the best of pep-talks, his self-assured disposition does have its uses: confident words soothe over the creases of your worries and troubling thoughts, and when things are more light-hearted, the two of you will bounce off of each others’ playful mannerism.
platonic match-up: barbara.
barbara is a sweetheart who’s incredibly devoted to both her companions and her aspirations.  wholesome and energetic, she’s sure to keep you on your toes dancing, whether it be about how beautiful it is outside or the potential of a rainbow after a storm.  while she’s a clear extrovert, barbara is also insightful to the feelings of others – after all, an idol must understand her crowd! – so she’s sure to dial down the energy if you’re ever feeling weary that day.
Tumblr media
hihi !! can i please submit myself for the matchups ? i'm intp-t, scorpio sun and leo moon. i'm 5'11, female, and am described to be a very energetic person. i like to think optimistically and have a special love for philosophy and chemistry !! my hobbies include reading and writing - i've also recently picked up baking. i think i would have a hydro vision in genshin - hydro users tend to be healers, and i think that's something i would specialize in. can i please have 2 romantic matchups 🥺
i'm the scorpio sun leo moon intp matchup ask !! i forgot to mention that my enneagram type is seven, sorry 😔
romantic match-ups: childe/tartaglia and jean.
childe hyperfixates on individuals he deems strong.  while this usually translates into people who have experience on the battle field, in your case, he finds it admirable that you’re able to keep up with so many hobbies and interests.  your thirst for new experiences and stimuli is akin to his own sense of adventure, and your devotion to each and every one of them resonates with his own conviction to his aspirations.  you’re strong mentally, and when you interact, he always has to dedicate himself to you fully in order to keep up; there’s never a dull moment when you’re around him.
a workaholic in denial, jean’s position as acting grand master never gives her a break.  she’ll insist that she’s fine, that she’s content with her oversight of the knights, that they are her priority.  and while this is true, when you talk about how your interests range from chemistry to baking, it’ll remind her of the time she doesn’t have to do “normal people things.”  again, not that she’s miserable with the knights, far from it – it’s just that your life and spontaneity reminds her of the things outside of the knights that she wishes she could do, too.  your genuine energy never fails to make her smile – perhaps you were who she’s been waiting for.
Tumblr media
hi, congrats on the 1k followers! i really enjoy your writing and i’m glad to see that you’re doing well! i hope the rest of 2021 goes well for you!
for the matchup event, i’d like one platonic and one romantic relationship. i'm an infp, 6w5, scorpio sun and virgo moon. my attention span isn’t the best and i’m an impulsive dumbass, but i still manage to get good grades somehow. i try to be sociable, but i have a habit of clamming up so i usually just end up sticking to the people i know. i’m kinda all or nothing with the effort i put into things; i run out of steam pretty easily so i tend to leave things unfinished, which i hate, but sometimes i’ll go wild and finish a semester-long project in one afternoon. overall, i really like helping others and being seen as reliable! i was really dependent on others in the past, and although i still kinda am now, i’m trying to be someone others can depend on.
as for hobbies, i mostly just play video games and scary stories. i’m also into a lot of crafts, particularly knitting and bracelet-making. i find the motions relaxing, but i enjoy it the most when i have someone to make things for.
as for my vision, i think hydro suits me best because it seems more support-oriented overall, which is the kind of role i’d like to have. however, that doesn’t mean that it can’t be used to do some serious damage if needed.
has lots of energy that’s hard to direct, but can plow through things they set their mind to.  likes security of things they know, and wants to give security as well.  creative outlets.  seems a bit finicky?  but insightful with their own emotions.
romantic match-up: mona.
outwardly stubborn but inwardly self-critical, mona has dedicated her entire life to the stars, and it shows: her masterful grip on astrology is nothing to scoff at, and she’s arguably the most practiced mage in all of teyvat.  at first, she’ll be baffled at your impulsiveness and “lack of focus”: how will you ever get anything done? she’ll wonder.  but when you prove her time and time again that you can plow right through an obstacle just like scissors through paper, so long as it seizes your interest, she’ll take moments to think about her own outlook on life.  when she realizes your comfort in abstract, artistic past-times, she might ask cutely for you to teach her.  surely, if she can talk to the stars, she can make bracelets . . . ?  o-of course they’d be for you!  who else would they be for, if not someone she deems endearing.
platonic match-up: beidou.
the personification of a tidal wave, beidou’s ferocity hits hard and leaves a mark.  the two of you will find it easy to bounce off of each others’ ideas – maybe even concerningly so to the rest of the crew – and hell, she might even sway you to sneak into a hilichurl village to steal some carrots if it’ll provide for some overdue fun.  lots of  pats  slaps on the back, and she’ll always beckon you over when she learns about something new, thinking that you might find it interesting, and when she wants someone else’s input.  she trusts your judgement like family, and knows that you’ve always got her.
Tumblr media
hi! i would like to request a genshin character matchup (2 romantic). my mbti is infj and enneagram 2. i am a cancer sun and aries moon. i am calm and reliable, but i do have a mischievous side and use a lot of dry humor. when it comes to having fun, i like to enable others! i am also deeply passionate about community service. my hobbies include yarn crafting. my genshin vision would be cryo because i am highly motivated by love/emotion, can come off as cold, and love the ice aesthetic! tysm!
romantic match-ups: diluc and lisa.
often broody and contemplative, diluc has a whirlwind of thoughts in that hard head of his.  through your first interactions, he’ll piece together your intense devotion towards your loved ones and willingness to help others.  he’ll warn you that you should take time to consider yourself, too, and that it shouldn’t always be give, give, give, but those same traits in you that he worries about are the same qualities that draw him in.  once, too, he was as uninhibited as you, had the same energy.  perhaps it’s because you’re both so similar, both in internal hopes and mannerisms, is why he finds it easier to loosen up – even if he doesn’t immediately let go of that deadpan attitude of his when he knows you can come back just as hard.
she’s enthralled by your willingness to engage in her banter.  often, those she teases (flirtatiously or otherwise) leave with a red face and an adorable stutter, but it just so happens that you’re one to fluster her instead.  it’s been a long time since she’s met someone who can keep her guessing, yet is incredibly insightful to themselves and those around them.  she finds your qualities of fun and sincerity to be charming.  you’re a breath of fresh air compared to the stern knights she’s around all day, and she looks forward to meeting you after work, conversing with you as you walk down mondstadtian streets and eat over dinner.  there’s never a dull quip from your lips, and she’d love to hear everything on your mind.

hii hope I'm not making this too hard on u lol one romantic and one platonic please! either gender is fine I'm bi as Hecc mbti: enfp-t sun taurus moon aries I think my vision would be cryo because people say it's connected to loss and I've lost some pretty important people to me and also. I hate the heat I really like cards, wolves and the stars, my hobbies include working with robots and the general aesthetic of the mid 2000s, my favorite season is winter and I love buying ppl gifts ♡
platonic match-up: chongyun.
immediately, your avoidance of heat and affinity to the calm will give him someone to relate to, and your attraction to the abstract will pique his interests.  (perhaps, once he’s become more confident with his exorcist abilities, he could pick up some of your hobbies?)  your practicality, in contrast to his often self-critical mindset, will ground him in times of need, and he’ll always ask you if he can help you out in return.  while he looks up to you as an individual, he’s honored to also be your friend, or at least someone you devote time to.
romantic-matchup: ningguang.
you both understand sacrifices and loss.  while it’s a rather bleak realization upon getting to know each other, your rationality and perseverance despite the past stirs her respect for you; your mindsets are incredibly alike, and she’ll often input your reasoning into her plans, and deem you a trusted associate of the liyue qixing.  in her demanding position, you are someone she can readily relate to and rely on.  in times when things are less hectic and the two of you can more freely relax, she’ll indulge in a shopping spree with you.  as someone who’s intimate with her in both profession and emotional relations, she’d love to show her gratitude.
Tumblr media
hi! i'd like to participate on the match up event!
i'm an infp, and also type six on the enneagram test, my sun sign is aries and my moon sign is pisces. i like arts in general with my favourite ones being music and painting, but i also enjoy writing and i spend a lot of time songwriting! also as a person i'm rlly clumsy and i kind of look mean bc of my resting bitch face lol. i think my vision would be anemo because i think it can be really useful in many ways and i like the reactions it has with other visions. i'd like two romantic match ups! i hope this was understandeable, as my english isn't the best. thank you! 💌
romantic-matchups: mona and zhongli.
mona will find your interest in the arts intriguing.  you always seem to get ideas at the most random of times, often startling her with how active your mind is.  and despite how she doesn’t reply much in return – she’s not versed in words or drawings, even if she won’t verbally admit it – you seem to be satisfied with her . . . reactions?  even if the most she can relate them to is astrology, it seems to be enough for you, so long as she isn’t uptight that day.  your creativity and attraction to the abstract gives her comfort: there aren’t many people in mondstadt who appreciate her profession, so even if you aren’t into the exact same things, she’ll at least know that there’s someone who looks forward to seeing her.
on his quest to “learn what being a human” is, zhongli encounters a myriad of occupations.  typically, the people of liyue are wound up with economics and realism, but your joy in the possibilities – how you can convey your emotions, through what mediums – of life has to offer reminds him of humanity.  with you, he’ll explore what mortals call “the small things” in life: akin to the spark of appreciation for flying lanterns, autumn-colored lights at night, feelings of wonder – that’s what you instill in him.
Tumblr media
hello!! id like a matchup please!! im an INTP-T and im Type 5,, im capricorn sun and libra moon. im a reserved person and kind of angry all the time,, and i get overwhelmed easily. im not that good with affection,, but me actually welcoming you into conversation or my room or smthn, or actually responding to you means something. im just scared to be open with affection because its always done me wrong in the past. anyways,, id like a platonic matchup and romantic matchup please!! thank u and congrats!!🥳🥳❤️❤️
hello,, im that Capricorn sun libra moon anon,,, very sorry to disturb you,,, but i didn’t mention what my vision would be!! i think id be pyro,, ive always been a bit cold or i usually shun people away,, so i think id be cryo!!!! or maybe hydro because im constantly having a mental breakdown LMAO(but i fr think id be cryo)
platonic match-up: sucrose.
while she’s constantly on-edge from work, sucrose will always make time to check on her dear friend.  after all, you do the same for her, even if you insist that you might not have the right words ready.  “partners in stress,” kaeya would teasingly dub the two of you as, but you don’t pay mind to him.  as quiet and reserved individuals, you find tranquility within each others’ company.
romantic match-up: venti.
whimsical and regarded as a mere bard by most, venti puts up a convincing front.  but it’s just that: a front.  the real venti is concealed by a chipper voice and mercurial agenda, when underneath, there’s a solemn musician who’s burdened.  you’ll most likely be off-put by his facade, as he’s trained himself to constantly be lively – comes with being a performer – but will soon find that he understands your turmoil.  he’s not the best with sentimental words, but will instead convey his sympathies through strums of his lyre.  while it isn’t obvious that there’s security in freedom, he’ll be sure to encourage you that there’s a way.
Tumblr media
Hello Al! For the match-up event would it be possible for me to ask for 1 romantic and 1 platonic? As for my MBTI I am an INFJ-T. As for the ennseagram I am 98% type five and 90% type 6. I am a Taurus sun and an Aquarius moon. I tend to come off as polite and often times a bit shy/reserved irl. I love learning new things. Conversations that have all parties thinking critically are definitely my favorites. My hobbies are writing, drawing, learning new things, reading, and playing video games. As for Genshin vision I'd have to say cryo. I've taken a quiz on quotev and got a tie between cryo and anemo. Cryo's description seemed to fit my personality better. I also seem to have a connection with the cold. Let me know if you need any more info. Remember to take care of yourself. ~Taylor💙
platonic match-up: albedo.
you both have your inquisitive sides, and albedo is more than willing to talk to you about his discoveries.  while he might not proactively reach out to you – more like, if you’re nearby, and he happens to catch you peeping at his work, he’ll engage with you.  he finds your takes thought-provoking and your candor respectful; a fellow of agreeable disposition, your calmness and supplementing nature also makes it easy for him to work.
romantic match-up: zhongli.
both intuitive and practical in your approaches, zhongli’s given a new perspective when you converse, or at least, a new thing to ponder over.  many regard him as stiff besides his gentlemanly disposition; your focused and insistent care will enrapture him as heartwarming, that there are “acceptable” vulnerabilities, but they’re not weak points at all – far from it.  your security and assuredness is harmonious with your emotion insight, making for a stable lifestyle that he easily molds into.  the conversations that the two of you engage in are nothing short of provocative.  just as much as he learns from you, he also provides with tales of the old days.
Tumblr media
Is - is the matchup thing still relevant? If not you can just ignore this message - its ok, i know ur busy :)
If it is still on tho, i wonder if i could get a platonic and romantic one?
Im a INFP-T(??), Type 4, pisces sun sag moon.
Im a dumb nerd with big glasses who loves t shirts with puns ot jokes on it. Im not sure about my hobbies, i just like anything that can make me think - memes, books, music, games with lore. I dont like boring, overly normal stuff. I have shitty sense of direction and i suck at math.
I think that my vision would be anemo since thats (i think) an element that requires both creativity and knowledge to work with, which is very special and interesting to me.
Thank you so much in advance! Or sorry if i sent this too late 😅
platonic match-up: xinyan.
both of you are free-flowing and seek excitement.  you’re the gasoline to xinyan’s match: you both feed off of each others’ knack for new things, stimuli, and the bold.  you could be walking down the streets of liyue, eating bags of mora meat, and then suddenly run down to the northern wharf to catch passing boats and playfully debate over which snobby aristocrat is being shipped off.  there’s never a dull moment between the two of you, and the plan is always no plan.  spontaneity is the name of the game, and it’s one that you can go at for ages.
romantic match-up: beidou.
there’s hardly a moment to breathe on the crux fleet, that’s for sure.  be prepared to explore the entirety of teyvat with beidou, because she’s got you covered with all of your “new thing” needs, alongside your ocean-borne family.  she’ll find it humorous that you’re not practiced in navigation – ironic for a seafarer.  but steering is complex, and she’d gladly help you out in learning, just another thing to do in a day’s work.
Tumblr media
Hi! For the match up event, I'm 98% type 3 and a 97% type 7, I'm am Intp and my moon sign is scorpio, my sun sign is Pisces. I'm above than average in math and I like to draw from time to time, I've tried to learn the ukelele but ultimately failed. I'd like my vision to be an electro cause my fav color is purple and I like how the electricity sparks and stops my enemies, I'm also a fan fic writer and love manhwas
Hi! I'm the last anon that you reminded that should have put 2 romantic in the ask! Sorry about that, it just completely flew over my head
romantic match-ups: ningguang and childe/tartaglia.
your ambition knows no bounds, and your drive is a force to be reckoned with.  some may call your approaches headstrong, but your ability to take initiative is something that ningguang greatly admires.  it’s something she professes that you two have in common – granted, even if her economic tendencies are more cutthroat.  while the two of you have incredibly firm opinions that might send shocks across the room you’re debating in, ningguang trusts your rational thought and explorative mindset.  your like-mindedness, in this instance, brings great relief to her in her position.
childe is also someone who would take interest in you.  he’s not one for schemes like the rest of the harbingers, and would appreciate your straightforward approaches and the focused energy you put into each project/obstacle you face.  it makes it easier for him to speak his mind, and he’ll find comradery with you fairly easy to come by.  gradually, the zeal the two of you share can draw you into more adventures, and he’ll have someone he can call a trustworthy partner.
Tumblr media
Hello! For your generous match-up event, could I request two romantic matches please? My MBTI type is INFP and my enneagram type is four. My sun sign is Aries and my moon is Gemini. I am a quiet but curious person who can be really flirty and sarcastic in private. I am very caring to those I love. My hobbies including writing and drawing. For my vision, I think I would be cryo? I’m a secretive person who has trust issues and can be cruel. I love your blog, you’re so skilled! Thank you so much!
romantic match-ups: kaeya and jean.
you’re a trusted soul by all, even if many also regard you as reserved.  kaeya isn’t one to grow attached (it’s hindered him in the past), however after being paired with you on multiple missions, he’ll feel more at ease around you due to your good nature.  your duality is also a breath of fresh air, and each time he talks to you afterwards, he’s reminded that there are individuals who have others’ best interests at heart.  many knights will catch the two of you tossing jokes back and forth at each other, but for once, kaeya isn’t trying to swindle anybody.
the acting grand master has a lot on her plate, but she finds that when she’s in your company, the tray is a little lighter.  she relates to your sincerity and good intentions, a welcome refresher in the world of forced diplomacy and tedious hours.  you also seem to know just the right things to say to lighten the mood, with a cute smile to top it all off.
Tumblr media
hello! Could I request 2 romantic match-up? I'm ENFP, enneagram 2w3. Sun Sagittarius, Moon Scorpio, Asc. Virgo. My hobbies consist of anything generally creative, gaming/anime, hanging out with friends esp!! I'm the type of person to show affection by physical touch and by gentle ribbing-- I love making other people laugh. I'm always down to do things, new or not, and an honest and easy-going person. My Vision would be Geo bc I think it reflects how I am as a person-- stable n loyal :) thank u!!
romantic match-ups: venti and beidou.
no one would’ve thought that you and venti would be a pair – then again, when they consider your tendencies for jokes and charisma, it’ll all come together.  wherever the two of you go, laughter follows, like dandelions in the breeze.  venti hits it off with you almost immediately after you meet, your natural social nature enabling easy conversation.  you’re also very zealous with topics that pique your interest.  it’s a genuine, eager curiosity that he can’t help but consider endearing.
the two of you are always searching for new things, be it small islands in the horizon or neat little specialties that you manage to catch in the corner of your eye.  there’s never a dull moment when the two of you get going on ideas, and while you may be the more rational, beidou will always insist on adding some more “zest” into whatever you come up with.  if you push her, she might accidentally shove you off the boat with the playful enthusiasm of a golden retriever.
Tumblr media
Hiya~! Thank you both for doing this! For the character match-up, I'd like to request two (2) Romantic please lmao, with a side of French fries.
I'm an INFP, Libra sun/Scorpio moon. My external personality might lead ppl to think I'm a charismatic extrovert, but that's the face I show for the 5 whole minutes I'm socializing, and then return to my introvert turtle shell for the next week. I cycle through hobbies since I get bored quickly, but I always come back to music since singing is my passion. I know for sure my Vision would be Anemo bc I need to be free to feel comfortable and tend to react rather aggressively when I feel restrained 🤔
I'm deeply emotional, sometimes impulsive, and dislike relying on others. I tend to be cat-like in my affections... sometimes I Love, other times Do Not Want. Except for animals, they always get my love ❤ ehehe....
romantic match-ups: mona and kaeya.
mona considers your nature incredibly easy to grasp.  but don’t take it as an insult or offense – in fact, your simplicity is a constant in mona’s life: you like time to yourself, and when you’re alone is when your energy comes out.  she doesn’t have to worry about reading too much into your feelings when she can see that you’re independent.  your interactions are calm and reassuring; she doesn’t have to be uptight around you, because she knows you trust in her abilities and lifestyle, and security with herself and those she cares about is her top priority.
kaeya’s able to relate to your social tendencies.  there’s a front that he puts up in front of his colleagues (purely for professional purposes) before reverting back to his natural state of mind.  he finds your distance understandable, and considers it something the two of you have in common.  when you talk one-on-one, it’s easy to bounce ideas off of each other about mondstadtian culture and other topics of interest; while your independent natures may lead to some time apart, there will always be fresh experiences waiting when you do meet again.

A Scarf to Keep Him Warm
Pairing: New Dream/Rapunzel x Eugene
Word Count: 1,754/AO3
Summary: Rapunzel decides to take matters into her own hands when she notices that Eugene doesn’t have any wintertime accessories.
Author’s Note: Hi again! I still hate fall, but I wrote another New Dream fic so yay! I was able to write about a skill that Rapunzel and I both share in this one - knitting! Although this is a modern!AU, Rapunzel is a skilled knitter just like she is in the movie. Writing this fic made me want to knit something even though I’ve devoted all of my time to writing these days lol. Anyway, enjoy!!!
In the years since she’d met him, Rapunzel learned a lot about the man known as Eugene Fitzherbert. From his meticulous hair styling and grooming routine, to the way he took his coffee, and everything in-between.
But the one thing that she couldn’t quite understand was his lack of preparedness for the colder seasons. A chill formed in the air, and while Rapunzel had added a hat, gloves, and a scarf to her outdoor ensemble, Eugene hadn’t added anything. He simply wore a black leather jacket, his hands buried deep in the pockets when they were outside for a prolonged period of time.
The first winter they spent together, Rapunzel kept making the foolish assumption that he’d eventually add those missing pieces to his wardrobe. But soon, the air grew warm, and there was no longer a need for such accessories, and the assumption changed. Her new assumption was that he had a high tolerance for cold weather. Nonetheless, their pea coats and leather jackets were traded in for shorts and tank tops.
But the seasons are cyclical, and autumn eventually returned. On one particularly brisk October morning, Rapunzel and Eugene sat at his kitchen table, discussing the rapid change of weather.
“Just yesterday it was sixty-five degrees!” he griped, setting two steaming mugs of coffee onto the table. “Today? It’s forty degrees! Should I break out the shovel just in case there’s an unexpected blizzard tomorrow?”
“Stranger things have happened,” Rapunzel shrugged, cradling the mug between her hands and relishing in its warmth.
“I’m getting really tired of the seasons,” he moaned. “I want to move somewhere where the seasons never change. Somewhere tropical and sunny. I hate cold weather.”
“I see,” she remarked, furrowing her eyebrows together and placing her mug back on the table. She leaned back in her chair, pondering what he had just said, before proceeding with her query. “How come you never wear anything that keeps you warm?”
“What do you mean?”
“You don’t exactly wear clothing that keeps you warm during winter,” she explained. “I feel like if you wore a scarf or gloves, then the cold would be more tolerable.”
He sat still for a moment before answering, his face softening. “I never really had those things when I was growing up. So I guess I never really thought about buying them as an adult?”
“Eugene,” she cooed, reaching out and taking his hands in her own. “That’s awful. No wonder why you can’t stand the changing seasons - you suffer every time you go outside because you’re cold.”
“It’s really not a big deal, Sunshine,” he promised, averting his eyes. He was trying to downplay the situation. “I’m used to it. I’ll survive this winter, just like I survived the past twenty-three winters: with a bit of complaining, and my trusty old leather jacket.”
Rapunzel was not satisfied with his response. Why would he want to continue to suffer when the solution was so simple? So, she decided it was time to take matters into her own hands. If he didn’t want to buy a scarf, she would make him one. It would be more expensive and labor-intensive than simply buying him a scarf, but it would be worth it.
Knitting was one of the many talents that she acquired, but never put to use. It wasn’t a particularly difficult hobby, and she was grateful that she’d finally be able to put her skills to work. The following day, she spent hours on the Internet, researching patterns and types of yarn before taking a trip to the craft store. She wandered for what felt like hours, picking up the supplies that she knew she needed - particularly, size eleven needles - and the supplies that she wanted. After consulting with the sales associate, and taking trips to a few other craft stores, she finally found the yarn she was looking for; skeins of dark grey cashmere. It would match his leather jacket, and it would be softer against his skin than wool. Finally satisfied, she returned home to her apartment and set off to work.
The pattern she chose was fairly simple, and nothing to fuss about; a simple two-by-two rib stitch pattern. She followed the pattern closely, casting on thirty-nine immaculate loops. Knit two, purl two, repeat. Row after row, she sat for hours under the soft glow of the floor lamp in her tiny, cozy living room. It was easy to keep going; her hands growing accustomed to the back and forth motion of the needles, and the constant pulling of the yarn. When she finally put the needles down and glanced at her cell phone, she realized exactly how much time had passed. Fifteen text messages from Eugene that had gone ignored. Instead of answering them she decided it would be easier to call him. He answered after a few rings.
“Hey, Sunshine,” he crooned, his voice low and gravelly.
“I’m sorry, did I wake you?”
“It’s alright,” he insisted, and he suddenly sounded much more awake than he did the minute before. “I dozed off on the couch. I’m glad you called, we didn’t get to talk much today.”
“Sorry about that,” she grimaced. “I was a little preoccupied.”
“No need to be sorry. You were busy.”
“I still should’ve checked in.”
“I’m just happy to hear your voice.” She could practically hear him smiling through the phone and she found herself blushing. “Will I see you tomorrow?”
“No,” she sighed, glancing down at the project in her lap. “I have plans after work. Tuesday for sure, though.”
“Okay,” he said, softly. “I think I’m gonna head off to bed now.”
“Same here. My eyes are starting to burn.”
“Goodnight, Sunshine. I love you.”
“I love you too,” she smiled. “Sleep well, Eugene.”
Though, instead of making it to her bedroom, she settled back into the chair and slept there, too tired to move.
When she got back from work the next day, she settled into the same routine. Knitting and purling under the glow of her lamp until she finally felt satisfied with the length of the scarf. She began to bind off, making sure that the edges were even and perfect. When she finished the very last stitch, she rolled her shoulders back, releasing the tension that had built up while she was working on her project. She stood up, dropped the needles onto the chair and brought the scarf over to the mirror. She draped it over her own shoulders and around her neck, trying to picture what it would look like on Eugene.
She eventually took it off, and gently folded it so it would easily fit into her oversized purse, as the best way to catch him off guard was to not put his gift in a gift bag. And for the rest of the evening, she twiddled her thumbs and hoped that the clock would move faster so she could finally give the scarf to him.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rapunzel was buzzing with excitement by the time she finally made it to Eugene’s apartment, and she knew that she wouldn’t be able to hide the scarf from him for long once she actually saw him. She knocked a few times before he answered.
He was already smiling when he opened the door. “Hey, Rapunzel.”
“Hi,” she said, walking into the tiny hallway. They shared a quick, but sweet ‘hello’ kiss before she shimmied out of her jacket and hung it on the coat rack. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too.”
They had barely made it any further into his apartment before she nearly exploded with eagerness. “So, I have something for you,” she said, rocking back on her heels and clutching her purse in her hands. “Something I made.”
His eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Yeah?”
“Yeah,” she nodded. “You have to close your eyes, though.”
“Okay,” he agreed, squeezing them shut.
“No peeking,” she warned.
He shook his head. “No peeking.”
Content with his promise, she reached into the bag and unraveled the scarf. Taking it in her hands, she dropped the purse on his coffee table and stepped closer to Eugene, balancing on her toes before loosely draping it around his neck. Her cold fingers gently brushed across his cheek as she created a single loop, adjusting it so each end of the scarf was even and flat against his chest. Smiling, she took a step back, satisfied with her work.
“Okay, you can open your eyes.”
He did as he was told, and his eyes immediately darted down to the unfamiliar object that had been placed around his neck. A small smile appeared on his face and he gingerly took one end of the scarf in his hands, admiring the soft texture and the perfect stitches.
“You made this? For me?” he asked, almost in disbelief.
She nodded, her own lips creeping upwards. “That’s why I couldn’t see you yesterday. I wanted to finish it.”
“I don’t know what to say, Rapunzel,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. He couldn’t seem to peel his eyes away from her craftsmanship. “This is the most generous gift anyone has ever given me. Thank you.”
Before she could respond, he was pulling her into a hug, squeezing her as tightly as he could, and burying his face into her neck. “I didn’t want you to be cold this winter,” she explained.
“I didn’t even know that you knew how to knit,” he remarked, his voice muffled.
“I never mentioned it. It’s been a long time since I knit anything.”
He finally pulled away enough to look at her face. “I still don’t know what to say. I’m in shock.”
“I’m just glad that you like it.”
“How could I not like it? It’s so beautiful and thoughtful.”
“I could make you gloves, too. And a hat, if you want. The only thing that I can’t make you is a sweater because of the sweater curse.”
He looked puzzled. “The sweater curse?”
“It’s an old superstition. If you knit your significant other a sweater before you’re married, then the relationship will end.”
“Don’t do that,” he laughed, waving his hands. “No curses here, please.”
“No curses,” she promised.
“Thank you again, Rapunzel. You have no idea how much this means to me.”
“You shouldn’t have to suffer through the cold weather, and I wanted to make sure that you wouldn’t,” she smiled. “I’m just happy that you’re happy.”
Without any hesitation, he took her back in his arms, both of them as safe and warm as could be.

How do i say no to people
You know that analogy about people with adhd having spoons for energy management or whatever? My spoons are on backorder from like 2 months ago and more got on that list now
The problem is that all of the things I'm being asked to do are Very Important Things
I have to feed my diabetic cat. This in itself is not a problem, however she's needs to eat at a specific time (12 hour spacing) and my current sleeping situation along with work do not allow this to happen consistently. Currently trying for 7:30, we'll see how it goes
My apartment has bedbugs, and there's no way in fucking hell I'm sleeping on my living room floor until my scumlord landlord actually gets the guy to come back to spray because he did spray but I'm still seeing adults and i "need to give the spray time to work" it's been fucking 2 weeks i don't know how is supposed to work but i feel like after 2 weeks whatever spray you did isn't going to get any stronger i just want to sleep in my own bed it's been like this since fucking March
With that part explained, I'm sleeping at my mom's house on the other side of town. This in itself isn't much of a problem, however as "payment" i have to take care of her dog in the morning, to practice because she's going on a week long vacation in October and none of her dogs can just be taken care of like normal dogs. He needs to wear a diaper to leave the room while i pick up his shit and soiled weewee pad and mop the floor, give him some time to be out of his room, and then feed him his special food mix. The other dog has allergies and probably will get into something he shouldn't, then not use the bathroom outside even though he literally has a doggy door that has constant access to the backyard. Neither dog get along with each other, which is why they are separated. Thank fuck the cat is just normal, this is why i prefer them
Now with THAT explained, it's difficult to take care of my own cat on time in the morning. But as the legendary Billy Mays says: But wait, there's more!
I just got rehired at my job working in a local understaffed pizzeria. My friend, ego also works there, is on vacation (good for her, she deserves it, absolutely no negativity towards her) so i have acquired her hours. So i now work 6 days a week, kinda sorta clopen but i guess it's more of opelose. Or a combination of both? Idk. The point here is, I'm then dealing with essentially running half a restaurant alone 6 days a week, with it not being 7 purely because the owner himself ALSO has the same work schedule as far as I'm aware, and wanted to give himself a day off, and since we are so understaffed it would be impossible unless we literally closed. My tasks include answering the phone, washing dishes, making sandwiches, making dinners, folding pizza boxes, and cleaning the tables/equipment on that side of the restaurant. So essentially everything except making pizzas, cleaning the pizza area, mopping in general, and driving. We generally close at 9, 10 on Friday and Saturday. Guess who was explicitly rehired to close those days? Guess how that's going to work with me having to be home around 7:30 to take care of my own cat? I have no idea either. It's only for about 3 weeks, but my mom, whom i have not asked for any additional help with anything, won't feed the cat while i have work, even though there isn't a guarantee that i can leave on time to THEN RETURN to close, because again I'm the only one on that side of the building. I understand the fear of the bedbugs, so that's probably it, but it still fucking sucks because the kitchen is on the other side of the apartment from the bedroom and there is literally no reason to go there to feed her. But i get it
Did we get to where i can do my own ADLs? Of course not. My neighbor is in the hospital, and her husband is blind. This is a new development that was only discovered an hour before starting this post (about 3:30 am for me). She's ok, it's for mental health reasons, and that's her own business about that. Her husband being blind is not a new development however. And he needs help taking care of the pets, specifically the birds. Which is fine, they just also need to eat on their own schedule. 8am, around lunchtime, and 8pm. Guess who's still at work? One of the birds is special needs because her beak got injured and needs to be essentially spoon fed. Which the blind husband can't do at all. Fairly simple task, but just adding to my obligations that are Very Important because they involve making sure things don't starve to death while my neighbor is in Crisis
Ok let's see, that's 4 Very Important Tasks/Obligations, and only one was originally my own voluntary one. Still not at taking care of myself yet, but i have my shelter, i have my job ("part time" minimum wage, hurray. Part time because even with me being there 6 fucking days a week open to close it still isn't technically enough hours for the state to recognize it as full time), and I'm taking care of *counting* about 8 pets for the next week. Will unemployment give me my money that I've been claiming since March? No? Will they let me claim with my new working hours that makes that while process even harder? Technically but it'll take over an hour for it to process and it doesn't even do that in the end? Well fuck, guess i have to wait to get paid on the books in cash and beg for a hand written paystub and have my hours worked written down. Glad i earned $100 this week, i hope now that my hours have increased i get some more
Next on the list, appointments. Because I'm a dumbass who can't remember shit if it isn't consistently recurring, i overbooked myself for next week. My much needed therapy appointment with my therapist that I've only met once and is the replacement for my much better therapist that i actually had a relationship with is supposed to have a session with me on Tuesday. Will i remember to do it this time? Possibly since i actually remembered it's on Tuesday. Will she send me the reminder text with the zoom link? Probably not. Wednesday, my one day off, thank fuck for that, is the main problem with the scheduling. My med appointment is for 11:30. Cool, can do. Driving lesson at 12. Oh, that's a little close, but i can manage that probably. I only average 1 lesson per year and a half, so it's fine, it's "healthy" to be nervous about operating a death machine powered by explosions. Have to go to social services to pick up, or attempt to, a new food stamps card. They probably close at 5, and add a Non Driver, i need to rely on someone to take me. The sooner the better, but it can't be during the lesson. Don't forget to take care of the creatures before and during all of this.
Ok. Great. There's an hour before work. Time to shower, because it's so fucking hot I'll be sweating like crazy by the time i get around the corner to the pizzeria, with me literally getting out and dressed and then walking out the door. Glad i finally did still to take care of myself. Eating? I might have something i can heat up quickly while the cat eats and so i can take my own meds. Dishes? Those are going to have to wait, i hope the heat wave doesn't get too bad, but it's been like this for a while, still slowly chipping away at them. Sleep? Severe insomnia. I partially blame the bed, my mattress is so comfortable, i hope the bedbugs like it because i can't fucking use it right now. I'd be sleeping so fucking soundly if i were in my own bed, and yet here i am. Maybe i should take the Trazodone now. I just hope I'll wake up on time. Oh look I'm exhausted, can't afford to buy comparatively better prepared coffee from Dunkin, so i guess my shitty at home coffee is going to have to do. Black because i don't have any creamer or milk or lactose free milk in my house. Just the way i hate it. Gonna have to deal with that i guess, maybe I'll learn to like it
The coffee pot lives in my fridge now. I'm worried to put it with the other dishes because if it sits there, not being washed like everything else, then i won't even have the option of coffee. It's just water and ground up beans, I'm sure it's fine
Maybe i can find some kind of coping skill/hobby to help me through my limited me time. Let's see.... I like to crochet, and that helps me get through the dishes by letting me alternate between them and a row/round on one of my many started projects. What? It's in a giant garbage bag with a bedbug treatment stick because of the damn ass bedbugs? Can't open it for at least another week and even then there isn't a place to put the yarn safely? Well fuck. I found that really helpful with keeping me grounded. Umm, well looking online, i should *checks notes* buy new yarn in the meantime and keep it somewhere safe. Uh, well, i can't afford more yarn now and i have nowhere to put it. Videogames it is maybe? Oh fuck now I've hyper focused too long on pokemon, rhythm heaven, and whatever daily games i do, i think i have 5 of those of varying lengths of time spent on them
Did i remember to brush my teeth? No. Do i remember that i should and then when i get out of the shower so i forget to actually execute? Yes. Have i gone insane? Probably
How many spoons is a person supposed to have per day? It takes more for me just to get through the day in general. Why does everyone need me to do their Very Important Tasks? Why is there never anyone else? Can my neighbor just not buy more birds when she gets home from Crisis?
I just want to have good mental health, why is this so hard

The Origins (Chapter 4)
Summary: Before the Renegades put an end to the Age of Anarchy, they were six kids trying to survive day by day in a city ruled by chaos and desolation. Is there a space for hope and kindness somewhere in Gatlon City? Maybe.

Translating it’s so exhausting. Especially when you have that bitch (Grammarly) constantly telling you “oh ur wrong” and you ask “where?” and the bitch responds “oh im not gonna tell you u r not premium”. So fuck it. Here it is. This was supposed to be Evander’s chapter, but I decided give this one to Tamaya instead, just for the fun. He can wait, he’s fine.
As you can see, I started to title my chapters. I already did it on AO3, but not on tumblr. The other three posts have their titles too. If you guess what song are the titles from, you get a cookie (?
I want to start doing a tag list but I don’t know who to tag. So if you want in, just tell me. I’m too shy to tag you if you don’t tell me to do it because I feel like I’m bothering you.
Also, trigger warning for domestic violence. I tried to keep it as low as possible and it’s a small scene, but I understand if there are people who still can’t handle it, and I’m no one to judge. I will take TW more seriously from now on. If you think I should tag any other of my work, feel free to DM me or send me an ask, even if it’s anonymus. Seriously, feel free to correct me. I’m a big girl, I can handle it;)
Running away from the world that we designed
Age of Anarchy
Year 8
Tamaya had gone three weeks without human contact. Her parents did not talk to her and she did not talk to her parents. Her mother sent the only remaining servant to bring her food twice a day. Every time he entered the room, Tamaya turned around to avoid making eye contact, because if she did, she would start crying. No one else was going to see her cry ever again.
It all started when Tamaya was flying in her room when her father came in without knocking first. The man was paralyzed and gaped, at the same time that Tamaya lost her concentration and plummeted onto her bed.
Then, her father started yelling at her. Marcus Rae had never been known to be particularly friendly in the way he spoke to other people. She had never heard that man say "thank you" or "please." However, Tamaya had not seen him scream either. At least, not at her. And that was enough to make her cry.
Not only because she was scared, but also because she felt dumb. She had managed to hide her abilities for five years and she had been caught in such a stupid way. Tamaya believed she was smarter, but she was not.
Her father took her by the arm and lifted her from the bed with such abruptness that Tamaya accidentally knocked over a porcelain figure that was resting on her nightstand. His shouting was already so unbearable that she could only make out a few words.
Freak. Bounder. Idiot.
Her mother ran into the room and asked what was going on.
“Your daughter can fly!" yelled Marcus. "How the fuck did she learn to do it!?”
And so it went on. Her father kept shaking her like she was a rag doll, while the woman begged her husband to calm down, with a trembling voice full of terror.
But he wouldn't stop. Nothing made him stop.
Freak. Bounder. Idiot.
“Please control yourself!” her mother cried.
In response, her father slapped her on the floor.
"ANSWER MY QUESTION, MELISSA!”
Freak. Bounder. Idiot.
Melissa lay there, sobbing and holding her cheek. Seeing that his wife was not going to answer him in any way, his father refocused his attention on her. He turned her around and held her tightly by the arms. Then he forced her to walk to the wall and stamped her face against it. With one hand she crushed the back of Tamaya's neck and with the other, he scratched his chin.
Freak. Bounder. Idiot.
Before she could react, her father tugged on one of her wings, as if he was going to pluck it apart. Tamaya screamed and broke down in tears again.
Freak. Bounder. Idiot.
Did he hate her that much? Was Tamaya that disgusting to him?
Freak. Bounder. Idiot.
How could someone do that to their daughter? How ruthless do you have to be?
Was she a monster? Was his father a monster?
Were the two of them monsters?
An electric current ran through her body. Adrenaline seized her veins, giving her the strength to push her father away from her and scream:
“Enough!”
With a wave of her hand, Tamaya fired a bolt of lightning at one of her bookshelves, setting it fire. Her mother reacted and ran to the kitchen for a bucket of water to put the fire out. Her father was not even able to move, nor did Tamaya. She was not concerned about the accident she had caused. Her gaze was fixed on Marcus, and her contempt for him was stronger than any pain and fear she had left.
She wiped one last tear that ran down her cheek.
She may be a freak and she may be a bounder. But she made a promise to herself that she would never be an idiot again.
Melissa quickly put out the fire. They were very lucky that it did not spread to the rest of the room. After the initial impact, her parents stared at her as if they didn't know her. Their eyes seemed to say: “How is it that such a dangerous and violent creature our daughter?”
It is because you are creatures as dangerous and violent as me.
Now it was Saturday night. Tamaya was sitting on the carpet, surrounded by her dolls. When Georgia asked why she didn't get rid of them, she always blamed her mother, saying she would be very upset if Tamaya threw away such expensive toys.
However, Tamaya did not throw them away because, unlike Georgia, she did keep playing with her dolls. She had conversations with them, brushed their hair, and if her mother managed to get yarn, she would embroider their skirts with details of flowers or birds. In winter, she had even gone as far as to make sweaters for them.
It was a childish hobby for a seventeen-year-old girl, but it was also the only thing that kept her sane.
Knock. Knock.
Tamaya looked up at the light catcher. She flew to see who it was.
Georgia.
“What are you doing here?” she asked through clenched teeth.
“Surprise!”
“Lower your voice,” she scolded her. “My parents could hear you.”
Georgia put a fake padlock over her mouth and made a pleading gesture as she pointed to the latch on the catch. Tamaya rolled her eyes and let her in.
“My mom doesn't know I'm here, but she told me everything,” Georgia explained sitting on the bed. “Which wing was it?”
“This one,” she replied pointing to her right wing, “but it's nothing. It practically healed itself.”
Georgia looked at the circle of dolls on the carpet, stifling a giggle.
“What party are you having?” she asked teasingly.
Tamaya was silent. Georgia realized that her friend was in no mood for jokes and looked down, with a serious expression on her face.
“My mom also told me about your other power,” Georgia whispered.
The blood went to her feet.
“What power?”
“The lighting thing.”
Then, silence. That reunion was nothing like Tamaya expected. She believed Georgia was going to have hundreds of questions and was not going to stop talking. Georgia always had a lot of things to say to her. Most of the time, she did not talk about important issues. It was always about discussions with her mother, gossips going around her school, or about a new book that she had found and that she recommended.
Tamaya was glad Georgia knew how to start conversations. She had no idea.
How her mother had been able to talk about Tamaya's powers with Mrs. Rawle was a mystery to her. Melissa Rae was very concerned with what other people would think of her, something that had never made sense to Tamaya. Was there someone left in that damn city who kept worrying about something as stupid as status?
“Is it true that you almost hit your dad with one? With lighting?”
Tamaya did not want to lie to Georgia. Lying was not her thing. However, she wasn't quite sure about what to tell her exactly. Should it be something like “Yes, I did it, so what?” or something less violent? Something between the lines of: “Yes ... and I regret it.”
The thing was, Tamaya had no regrets. She had a lot of time to think about it those past few days and she could never force herself to feel a single shred of regret for her actions. Not even when her mom begged her to apologize to her dad. She just couldn't.
However, it was not until that moment that she realized she wasn't proud of it either. If it had been for her, Georgia would never have known about that little detail of the fight and her powers.
Tamaya already knew that she could control lightning and storms. She had discovered it relatively recently when she was flying and accidentally shot lightning at the ground. It was small and just left a black stain on the fine wood flooring, nothing a rug couldn't hide.
But lighting should not be near people, and Tamaya knew it.
“Why didn't you tell me?”
Tamaya turned to see her. “Pardon me?”
Georgia was frowning and arms crossed. There was reproach in each of the words that came out of her mouth.
“Why didn't you tell me you had more powers?” she asked. “Why didn't you trust me? I thought we were friends.”
“Woah, wait, Georgia,” she interrupted her. “How exactly is this about you?”
“Friends are supposed to talk to each other,” Georgia said. “I always tell you everything that happens to me and you know every last detail about my life. Why don't you tell me what's wrong with you? How many other things do you hide from me? Is our friendship based on lies? Is your name even Tamaya?”
Tamaya was so shocked by Georgia's reaction, she thought she was hallucinating. She noticed each gesture her friend's face made and each movement of her eyes. And she wasn't kidding. Tamaya was not hallucinating. Georgia was seriously mad at her.
“Really?” she asked her. “After everything that's happened to me, somehow I'm the bad guy to you?”
“Yes.”
The audacity of this bitch.
“How the hell can you be so self-centered, Georgia?” she asked with flushed cheeks. “Do you think this is because I didn't trust you? Did you ever stop to think about how I felt? Doesn't it occur to you that the reason I hid it from you is that I wanted to protect you?”
“Protect me?” Georgia laughed. “Don't be ridiculous, what would you be protecting me from?”
“From myself!”
And Georgia laughed again.
“I was protecting you from myself!” Tamaya insisted. “Stop laughing!”
But she ignored her. Georgia kept on laughing as if it was the funniest joke she had ever heard. It was clear as day that Georgia didn’t care anymore if the whole neighborhood heard her. She didn’t care if they got into trouble.
And she does not care about you, Tamaya.
Tears welled up in her eyes.
No, no one else was going to see her cry ever again. Not even Georgia.
Without thinking, Tamaya lunged for her friend. She grabbed the collar of her blouse, lifted her ten feet above the ground, and stamped her against the wall. She could feel the electricity on her fingertips, and she was sure Georgia felt it too.
She was no longer laughing.
“Look me in the eyes, Georgia,” she whispered. “Look me in the eyes!”
“I'm doing it,” she replied quietly.
“What do you see?”
“That you have beautiful eyes.”
Tamaya held her tighter. “Aren't you afraid of me? Aren't you afraid of monsters?”
Tears began to flow from Georgia's dark eyes. She put a hand to her mouth and a faint smile of pity appeared on her lips.
“Oh, Tamaya. You are not a monster.”
She had no qualms with people seeing her cry. How pathetic.
She released her.
“Yes I am,” she hissed.
Georgia fell to her feet.
“No, people have convinced you that you are,” she exclaimed, approaching her. “That's what they always say about all of us.”
She reached out to take her hand. Tamaya rose a few inches to not be within her reach. Georgia did not insist.
“And the worst thing is that,” she continued saying, “there are some people who believe them and become monsters. You know, like a certain person who starts with Ace and ends with Anarchy.”
Oh. Him.
“You know, I think he hates himself. A person who loves themselves would never do the things he does.”
“I don't blame him.”
Georgia pursed her lips. “Why not?”
“If you spend your entire life calling someone a monster, what do you expect them to become?”
Silence appeared again. For a second, Tamaya was pleased with herself for making Georgia run out of arguments.
But Georgia was never run out of arguments.
“That still doesn't excuse it,” Georgia replied. “You are constantly calling yourself a monster inside your head, and you had not become one.”
Tamaya looked at the mirror. Her reflection looked back at her.
“Would you still be my friend if I were a monster?”
“Uh, I don't know,” Georgia shrugged. “But I don't have to worry about it. You will never become a monster.”
“How are you so sure?” she asked defiantly.
“Because you are too strong to become one.”
She wished she could believe her.
No, Tamaya wasn't strong. That room was driving her crazy. She heard no other voice than her own, telling her the most horrible things she could hear every day. The world had never called her a monster because Tamaya's world were those four walls. Those four walls too similar to—
Oh, God.
Too similar to a monster's cage.
“I have to go,” Tamaya blurted out.
“Go?” Georgia asked in dismay. “But where?"
“I don’t know, but I have to go. Right now.”
Georgia asked no questions when she was helping Tamaya find a backpack, or when she packed Molly away before she began to look for clothes. She didn't even ask questions when Tamaya didn't dare go through the skylight, because she thought she heard her parents asking her not to leave.
However, when she turned around, she realized that no one was there.
She came out.
The air in the outside world smelled like gasoline and rain. The higher she flew, the smaller her house looked. Her neighborhood was the only point of light in that dull city. The buildings looked abandoned and lonely even from that distance.
It was horrible. But it was the world. A new world.
Tamaya allowed herself to laugh. She was so happy that she even dared to flip in the air.
Then, she realized that Georgia was not flying next to her. She was standing on the ceiling of her room, looking at her with teary eyes.
A crazy idea came to her mind.
“You come?” she asked her.
Georgia shook her head. She reached into her pants pockets and pulled out a torn locket. Tamaya reached out to look at it better. It had a missing part, was slightly rusty, and was not made of real gold, but the chain and clasp were intact.
“I found it in the market,” she told her, “with a lady who sold fish.”
“Why would a fisherwoman be selling lockets?” Tamaya asked raising an eyebrow.
“I do not know. It was from her husband, according to her,” Georgia explained. “But now it’s yours."
Tamaya had not worn any jewelry for a long time.
“It looks tragic,” she said.
“It combines with the city,” Georgia replied. Tamaya put on the locket. “Would you forgive me?” she asked. “I was selfish and I shouldn't have blamed you for not telling me. You had your reasons for keeping the secret. I understand if you don't want to talk to me—”
“Stop,” Tamaya ordered. “I'll come looking for you in a couple of days,” she assured her. “If you haven't heard from me by then, I'm dead.”
Her friend shuddered. She didn't know if from the cold or the fear.
“Any advice for the outside world?”
Georgia approached her with a smile and held her hand. “When in doubt, fly.”
Tamaya looked towards the horizon. The doubts did not take long to arise.
“Fine.”
Then, Tamaya flew. And she didn't look back.

Diary of a Junebug

Riding carriages around the camp
For arts and crafts week we've been building carriages and testing them out. Edie, Jamila, Easton, and Anissa have come to visit the camp and help us build these fun rides. So not only we get to build a bunch of cool stuff, we also have a new appreciation for the beautiful scenery - an unexpected but super sweet bonus!
It's so good to see Edie and the others again after so long. The trip is kinda a big deal for Anissa as it's not easy for her to travel. Edie and Jamila reached out to me a few months ago to plan this outing, leaving things as open as possible in case something happens with Anissa.
The building carriages event was something separate that was kinda a spontaneous thing that happened to line up perfectly with the visit. Jamila and Edie love working on big projects together while Easton and Anissa help out so they were excited when I told them about arts and crafts week. Also, riding the carriages was a good way to get around the camp as well as explore outside the usual hangout spots.
I was (still am) surprised when Jamila messaged me and wanted to take Anissa out here. Out of all the places she could have gone, Anissa instead chose the camp. She had once told Jamila that she'd wanted to visit the camp someday and that they probably would've done it by now if it wasn't for her. That conversation stuck with Jamila for a long time and when things took a turn for Anissa, Jamila, Edie, and Easton wanted to make the most out of the time they have left with her.
Edie has been friends with Anissa and Jamila since they for as long as they can remember. During the summer the twins would join the Sperry family on their yearly trip to Edie's grandma's farm, which holds many of their favorite childhood memories. During the school year Edie was a frequent guest at the Amine household and the three would play together for hours, letting their imagination run wild. There, Edie was allowed to be carefree and not have to deal with constant criticism from her father.
As Edie got older, she became part of the Amine family. She and Anissa were often in the same class so they stuck together a lot. Jamila didn't mind being the third wheel as she was happy to be doing her own thing at home while the other two often went out and about. Even though it didn't look like it to the grown ups, Jamila never felt like she was left behind.
Then Easton came along and he too became an honorary member of the Amine family. The girls were ten when he was born, the youngest and only son in the Sperry family. Easton was born missing half his left leg so he wears a prosthetic and other than his father, everyone else treats him like normal. Out of all the siblings, he's the closest to Edie, always tagging along with her.
For a while every day was pretty much the same. Edie, Anissa, and Jamila would walk home from school, sometimes stopping by the Sperry house to bring Easton along if Edie's mom had her hands full. The three would do their homework while the twins's mom watched over Easton. Then Edie and Anissa would usually be playing on the tire swing while Jamila knitted on the porch and played with Easton. Sometimes Edie would bring her banjo along and played some songs while the twins sang along, a highlight during summer nights at the farm.
Their favorite thing to do together was playing pretend in the attic because everyone had something to do, even Easton. The girls would often pretend to be accomplished women with successful lives full of adventure. Anissa was the one with the most creative imagination, often making up funny stories that would leave the others rolling on the floor with laughter. She was great at improvising with Easton, who was happy to join in on the fun.
When the girls were twelve, Anissa's life changed forever. The girls were playing pretend as usual when Anissa complained about a headache that quickly grew worse. She was rushed to the hospital and in Jamila's words, that was the last time she and Edie saw the old Anissa. A blood vessel had burst in Anissa's brain, resulting in a stroke that left Anissa comatose for several days.
While the damage from the stroke was not as extensive as initially feared, Anissa was no longer the same. Edie and Jamila were determined to bring back the old Anissa, only to be disappointed when they got their hopes up too high. Anissa was still set on marching to the beat of her own drum, trying to prove her independence whenever she could, which further convinced Jamila and Edie that she was going to make a full recovery. It took a long time for the girls to accept that things would never go back to normal.
The whole ordeal made Edie and Jamila closer than ever. Edie would help the family care for Anissa and in turn lift Anissa's spirits up. When Anissa got stronger, Edie would bring Easton along and he too provided some much needed sunshine during a difficult time.  Edie's mom and sisters helped out a lot as well, making sure that the Amines were doing all right.
Edie, Jamila, and Anissa have always been a tight knit group. Although Anissa was made strides in her recovery, the effects of the stroke still linger. Jamila and Edie became Anissa's caretakers when the three moved in together, living about twenty minutes away from their old neighborhood. Both families agreed that it was good to give Anissa some degree of independence as by then she could take care of herself for most part and didn't need constant supervision.
In recent years, various complications arose, which was expected but that didn't make it any easier. Anissa was well known at the hospital as she was a miracle. She beat the odds not only by surviving but also by living. What happened to her was rare - her doctor told that in the hospital's two hundred year history, only three other kids suffered from the same condition. One died on the way to the hospital, another slipped into a coma and never woke up, and one lived for two years before suffering from another stroke. No matter what happens, at least one thing's certain - Anissa always marches to the beat of her own drum.
Anissa for the most part managed to live a somewhat independent life. She got her GED, was able to relearn various skills like playing the piano, reading, and cooking, - all which she documented on her blog: Searching for Anissa.
When I started making plans with Jamila and Edie, I later found myself re-reading Searching for Anissa. Reading the stories of the girls, from the recollections of simpler days in the farm to the struggles of everyday life - it's such a fascinating read. The blog's more like a memoir that's a work in progress with Anissa writing her thoughts out and Jamila and Edie contributing by filling in some of the gaps and sharing their own memories.
The blog hasn't been updating regularly for a couple years because life's been getting in the way. But this year Anissa's hoping to post something at least once a week as she wants to keep writing while she still can. In the past year she's had two mini strokes so her hands don't work as well anymore, making it difficult for her to do a lot of things. While she's sad that she can't type anymore, Anissa found it therapeutic to say her thoughts out loud as it helped her accept what lies ahead for her. In turn, her blog posts have been a lot more free flowing as she contemplates her uncertain future.
For now everyone's doing their best to make sure Anissa's comfortable. She's been doing well physically so that's good. Good thing we have carriages so Anissa can explore the camp and enjoy the scenery. Also, Jamila, Edie, and Easton had a lot of fun building the carriage as well as taking it out for a spin at Breezy Hollow.
At times it seemed like the camp was being taken over by carriages. We even managed to make a train by attaching a bunch of carriages together, which was a really fun way to travel! First, we visited the meadow where Jamila knitted a blanket and Edie took out her banjo. Since the weather was a bit chilly I wasn't sure how long we were gonna stay there but thanks to Jamila's blanket, we ended up hanging around for a while.
Then we went down the trail by the mountains, which went surprisingly smoothly as the carriages went by with little difficulty. At the forest we split up into two groups with Daisy Jane, Edie, and Easton going for a short hike in the mountains while I stayed with the twins. Anissa admired the scenery, taking in the sights, sounds, and textures around her while Jamila began knitting another blanket, creating intricate patterns with ease.
Something about the way Jamila knits makes me want to grab some yarn and needles and join her - which is why Edie and Easton have picked up the hobby too. I think it's because she makes it look so inviting, like a fun bonding activity if you want to spend some quality one on one time with someone. The way she knits - on one hand it's like she's a machine because of how much she's able to do in a short time, but on the other hand she totally gives off the vibe of someone who shows appreciation through thoughtful, handmade gifts that she puts her heart and soul into.
After that we passed through Shovelstrike Quarry, OK Motors, and Lost Lure Creek. At Saltwater Shores we hung out at the beach and set up a barbecue. It was too cold to go swimming but we sorta went boating with a carriage built by Whitney and Rolf that can travel on water. The barbecue was a good way to keep warm as it got pretty cold around midday.
Daisy Jane and I cuddled up in our new blankets that Jamila surprised us with. I swear, her hands are like magic when it comes to knitting! While she started another knitting project, Anissa and Easton took a walk down the beach and Edie played her banjo. Later the others joined us by the fire pit for a fun singalong and impromptu concert.
We were planning to head back to the main camp when Anissa said she was feeling up to seeing more of the camp. Since the day was still young and the weather was warming up a bit, we decided to head to Sunburst Island. Anissa got to sit back and enjoy the sunshine while the rest of us harvested coconuts and went bug catching.
Around evening we headed back to the camp, where the campers set up a bonfire to warm things up. Whitney, Goldie, and Rolf went foraging in the forest while testing out their carriages so they found a lot of tea leaves that were perfect for a chilly night like this. After a busy day of riding carriages around the camp, it was nice to cozy up in front of the fire with a warm cup of tea.
Tomorrow will be more of the same - testing out more carriages and exploring different parts of the camp. Thankfully the weather's gonna be much warmer so that gives us even more of an excuse to go sightseeing!

Saturdate With Lan Zhan Pt. 1
So in order to get things off on the right foot, I got up EXTRA early on Saturday. On purpose. Of my own free will.
I wanted to get a full day of this. SO I told Lan Zhan to meet me at that hobby shop we met at before for that walk we took at 9 in the morning. Oh that seems so long ago now but it wasn’t.
So much has been happening in my life lately it feels unreal.
Anyway, 9AM. That meant I had to get up early enough to get ready and walk there (Hell if I was lettin’ my skateboard ruin my hair that day).
I had wanted this day to help Lan Zhan unwind from last weekend. I know how tough that was for him. I wanted this to be a GOOD day. I think I succeeded.
Well… I wanted that… but also… I kinda just wanted to go on a date. Which really… I mean… it wasn’t a date. And I shouldn’t have treated it like one. Especially since….
Well at the very least if I wanted it to be a date I probably should have TOLD him that. But I was being selfish. I doubt he would have said yes if I asked him out as a romantic thing. But as friends… then I could just pretend for a while. And I did. Hardcore. I’m… a bit ashamed of how I acted. But what’s done is done. (Despite the common opinion I do actually feel shame sometimes. A lot of times actually….)
The point of all that is that I decided to dress up some even. I put on my nicest jeans (the ones that make my ass look fucking amazing), and this nice like jacket/scarf combo. The scarf was a gift from Shijie way back when. She knitted it herself for me with this SUPER soft yarn. Its’ this nice deep red and nice and big. I love it so much. I’d wear it all the time if it weren’t sure to give me heatstroke in the summer. Well that and I want it to last as long as possible.
(I think I actually stole the jacket from Jiang Cheng way back when but eh details details).
So I got up early to get dressed and like actually BRUSH my hair n shit. Again, though many would ne’er believe me, I do, in fact, own a hairbrush thankyouverymuch. My hair’s just still short enough that I don’t normally need it. Besides the messy out of bed look is sexy right? Right??
AAAAAnywaaaay
I managed to wake up on time and got out the door after all my primping with enough spare time to get a coffee! I actually timed it perfectly. It’s easy when Lan Zhan is always perfectly punctual. (It’s impressive really. Neither late nor early. Just perfectly on time). I got a coffee with like ALL the caffeine for me so that I didn’t hate life when Lan Zhan showed up, and I got a tea for him. And I timed it so it’d be the perfect drinking temp by the time he showed up!
Sometimes the best laid plans actually work ha!
Admittedly I probably should have started drinking my coffee sooner, heat be damned because I was probably a little more than half asleep by the time Lan Zhan showed up to pick me up. Heh. But nothing better than waking up to see Lan Zhan’s face no matter what the circumstance!
Didn’t spill our drinks so still counting it as a win.
I was about to get up and just jump in the car but this perfect human being got OUT to greet me and gave me a nice warm hug! (It was only a bit chilly but I was tempted to complain about how cold it was so he’d hold me tighter. Resisted. Barely.)
I will never get enough of the feeling of being in his arms. Never.
Anyway we climbed back into the (nice and toasty) car and got ourselves all buckled in (safety first folks!). And then idiot that I am I realized that my map was still in my pocket, unbuckled my seatbelt to get it out and buckled up again before I smoothed it out.
Lan Zhan raised a perfect eyebrow at me and tried to sneak a peek at my paper but I snatched it away before he could ruin the surprise.
Told him no peeking allowed!
He pointed out he could punch in the address into his fancy car GPS like a normal human but that would spoil it!!!
I told him he was just gonna have to trust me. He looked a bit dubious (fair) but consented.
Okay so… turns out I actually DO need to be more careful when I’m writing. There were a few instructions that even I had trouble reading what with the paper being so crumpled and having written in a rush because I almost forgot this morning. Smudged the ink a few places too.
Lan Zhan probably lost a bit of confidence in me after we nearly missed our turn offs the second… and third…… and…  well either way! No peeking means no peeking!
And I got us there JUST fine in the end!
I think for a moment Lan Zhan lost ALL confidence in me when I made him pull into this parking lot that was really just a large field. There were other cars parked there but other than that all you could see was corn and hay bales.
And a giant sign of WELCOME. It was cute! We got out of the car and I took a deeeeeeep breath. It smelled like leaves and pumpkin and apple cider and mini donuts and just oooof. The best of all the Autumn aromas.
Lan Zhan asked where we were, but I just grinned at him and told him to trust me again. We got in the fortunately very fast moving line to get in. There was an entrance fee but I was prepared! I already had my money in my hand so Lan Zhan couldn’t be sneaky and pay for it instead. He likes to do that but I was adamant that today was going to be my treat! This was for him after all and I wanted to treat him.
He looked a little put out but I grinned at him and told him “Everything is on me today. Anything you want, you tell me!” and then I STARED HIM DOWN basically DARING him to disagree.
He stared back for a long moment but eventually signed softly and agreed.
VICTORY!!!
Before he could change his mind and start fussing, I grabbed his arm and pulled him inside. My heart was going a million miles an hour because now was the moment of truth.
I stepped away from him and spread my arms wide like I was some weird person showing prizes on a game show.
“Ta-Daaaaaa! It’s a Corn Maze!!!”
And it was.
Lol
Have y’all ever been to a corn maze? I only went once with the Jiangs shortly after I was taken in by them. I think Uncle Jaing wanted to make a good impression. We all went as a family. Even Madam Yu.  (She pretended to hate it but I know she enjoyed being able to spend time with her kids without anything else going on. Even if she had to deal with me being there too.)
I’d been looking for a place for a while when I stumbled across this one. It isn’t the same one I went to as a kid. Actually I think this one’s even bigger. It had everything!! Music, food, a petting zoo, crafts and games and just everything! And an apple orchard out back!
I kinda stayed there with my arms up, probably looking like the world’s stupidest scare crow. I was trying not to be disappointed because he looked… well more confused than anything.
“It’s a pun. Get it? A Maize Maze. Corn Maze. Maize…. Pun…”
He nodded at me (i finally put my arms down) and asked me what we were supposed to do.
I’d thought it was a bit self-explanatory but then the poor man hadn’t even been to the movies before a couple of weeks ago. (We went together on one of our saturdates and it was wonderful)
So I started pointing out all the things we could do. There was the maze, of course, but also live music and the petting/feeding zoo. I pointed to the crafting section and the orchard and there was even a corn bath!
I think.. He kinda broke at that. XD The look of a man who was completely lost.
“A corn… bath?”
“Yeah it’s literally just a pit filled with corn.”
He gave me this LOOk then. Oh dear god I just wanted to kiss him. He looked so adorably perplexed. But he just nodded like he was accepting it.
I started to lose confidence as I was talking about the apple orchard and the hay ride.
I started to give him an out because clearly this was a horrible idea and of course he wouldn’t be interested in such a childish bunch of activities. I said we could leave if he wanted.
He assured me that no it was fine and that he wanted to do all the activities with me. Told me he’d just never done anything like this before. I kinda knew that already but every time I realize how limited his childhood was it just breaks my heart.
TBC.
