Would it be okay to make requests for arranged!reader or you're burnt out with that verse? I miss that special type of angst that was in arranged verse ngl
Bruce watched from a distance and frowned slightly.
Harvey was a busy man. Presumably he had a LOT more to do than traipse after you while you planned a PR thing for him but here he was. Samplinng food you picked and pretending to be interested in flowers and entertainment. But it was clear, not matter how hard he tried to hide it, that what he was REALLY interested in was you.
He hovered near you. Hanging on your every word. Opening doors and pulling out chairs. A perfect gentleman. If you weren't married already, Bruce would have thought he'd be proposing any second.
And it made him want to punch the guy in the mouth.
Still. To your credit, you didn't seem to be... encouraging anything. Just being polite. You even seemed a little... baffled. It would have been funny if it didn't make him feel a little guilty. You were a beautiful woman. You should be used to this sort of attention.
Men behaving like idiots and fawning over you. Practically rolling over for belly rubs and begging for treats at your feet. Instead you'd been cloistered away and treated like a prize cow. And the man you'd been sold to had treated you like just another employee at best- and the only man you'd ever had sex with you'd done in a pitiful act of defiance because he (your own husband's masked alter ego) was the only person to make you feel remotely safe.
Of course, you knew things Dent didn't. Namely that your husband was Batman and that your Father and Falcone had informants everywhere. So. When you tripped over a carpet and stumbled and Dent steadied you, his hands lingering a little too long and his gaze lingering too long on your lips... your alarm was palpable, even from across the room.
"Y/N there you are," Bruce said, looking up from his phone as he strolled across the ballroom. "I was waiting in your studio forever-"
"Did we have-"
"We had a date," Bruce reminded, smiling indulgently, "you were going to show me what you've been up to with the Sisters and then we were going to get some dinner."
"Oh, shoot-" you huff, checking your watch, "I got involved and I lost track of time and-"
"It's alright sweetheart," he said, reclaiming you from Harvey and steadying you on your feet, "you didn't hurt yourself?"
"No harm done," you tell him, "Harvey kept me from becoming acquainted with the floor."
"Thank you," he said, tucking you against his side. Subtly reminding Harvey, and anyone else who might be watching that you were spoken for. That this was being done because Bruce ALLOWED it. NOT because you had designs on Harvey.
"It would be a shame if Y/N hurt herself after she did all this work for the benefit," Harvey said, face heating.
"I think," you cut in, cutting between the two men before they could start a full pissing match, "that we've done almost everything we can do for the day here."
"Oh?" Harvey said, "I thought,-"
"The string quartet is running behind and it looks like rain. I'd hate to have them set up just to get rained on," you fret. "I'll have my assistant meet with them tomorrow while I meet with the Auction house."
"Perfect," Bruce declared, kissing your head, "It's too late to see the sisters but just in time for our reservations. I'll get your coat. Then I want to show you the necklace I saw. I think you'll love it." And before Harvey can say more, Bruce lead you away. Making it clear that his wife was his wife and no one was going to be allowed to simply flirt with her.

“OH MY GOD THAT’S JOOST KLEIN!”
(Pt. 2)
Tumblr media
Pairing - Joost Klein x fem!reader
Summary - Following an attempt to ignore Joost and act as though nothing had happened, you both meet on a rainy day while waiting for the bus. He offers you a ride but first takes you out for a dinner and shows you the beauty of Amsterdam at night.
Genre- fluff, maybe little bit of angst.
Mentions - @dozcan123 , @multifilmfan & @mrschandlerbing
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
About three months back, something went down with Joost Klein. We chatted at first, but then I got busy, and Joost wouldn't quit trying to get in touch. I brushed off his messages until I finally blocked his number. After that, he stopped trying to reach out on other social platforms. I felt a bit guilty, but I figured he probably moved on. Sometimes I thought about unblocking him and telling him how I felt, but when I saw he was into Eurovision, I hesitated. 3 weeks ago, he dropped a track called Europapa, and it blew up. The song brought back memories of Joost, making me consider going to Eurovision with my sister. Lost in thought, a message from my best friend Zofia interrupted me, signaling her arrival. We decided to grab a drink and catch up, with Zofia's unexpected entrance and our trip to a nearby bar helping clear my head.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ 3 hours later ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
I checked my bus app to see when my bus will arrive. I still had 35 minutes left but the walk wasn’t short so basically I already should be on my way. I escorted my best friend to her place; she was completely wasted, and so was I. It was the usual routine - she'd get super drunk, I'd have to take her home, and then make sure I got back to my flat safely at night. I glanced at my friend before asking if she could at least get ready for bed and sleep. She agreed, closed the door, leaving me alone. I turned on maps to find the nearest bus stop direction, and just as I did, a few raindrops fell on my screen, signaling the impending rain. And sure enough, it started pouring. I began to run, and as I was about to cross the street, a car came speeding towards me, honking loudly, nearly hitting me. Shocked, I turned around, not knowing what to do. The car was already gone, so I tried to forget the scary moment and went to sit on the bench at the bus stop just a few steps away. Sitting there, rain pouring down on me as there was no roof over the bench, I stared at the ground, hoping the bus would arrive soon, even though I still had 10 more minutes to wait in the cold rain.
“Y/n?” A low male voice with a pronounced Dutch accent addressed me. I turned looked up to find a recognizable individual standing directly in front of me. I was taken aback by the sight of him drenched from head to toe, standing there as confused as I was.
"Joost?" I uttered, rising to my feet and adjusting my coat. An extended pause ensued, with neither of us certain of how to initiate this dialogue.
"It was you crossing the street? Please be more cautious next time," he began, causing my eyes to widen in surprise.
"I apologize." I glanced aside and then back at him. He appeared altered. His hair had brightened notably, nearly reaching a platinum blond tone. His demeanor was grave. It seemed like he wasn't content to see me, and frankly, I wasn't excited either.
"How are you?" Were the only words that escaped my lips.
"I'm good. Have you been drinking?" He inquired, moving a bit closer, though there was still a noticeable gap between us. I caught a whiff of his cologne once more. It was the same scent from three months back when he assisted me in zipping up my jacket.
"Tipsy, not drunk," I corrected him, settling back onto the bench, which was once again damp. I glanced down at my shoes, feeling embarrassed.
"I can catch a whiff of the alcohol from here," he remarked, and I simply pouted, unsure of how to respond. He moved closer and settled beside me. Our shoulders brushed together. In a sudden impulse, I rested my head on his shoulder, shutting my eyes and relishing the moment. It dawned on me how much I had missed Joost.
"Y/n, do you want a lift?" Joost interrupted my thoughts. I hesitated a lot, unsure if I should say yes or no.
"Sure." I say standing up. He stood up as well, and I just followed him. It was a 1-minute walk until we arrived at the car I almost got hit by. I sat in the passenger seat and inhaled the scent, Joost's specific cologne mixed with cigarettes. I yawned, leaning on the window. He started his car, and we drove through the city. There was complete silence between us until there was a loud growl. I covered my stomach with my arm and started to daydream about what I would eat when I arrived home.
“What are you doing?” I inquired as Joost made a sudden right turn.
“I’m starving, do you like McDonalds?” He asked and I furrowed my brows.
"I suppose so, but I've got some food at home, so I'll decline," I replied, earning a chuckle from the blonde guy.
"Ha, that's totally a classic mom move: 'We've got food at home,'" he mimicked, leading to a moment of silence as we both pondered our next words.
"It's on me." He stated, breaking the silence as he parked his car in the parking lot and switched it off.
"Please," he uttered, casting me those identical pleading eyes as during our initial encounter. Exhaling deeply, I release my seatbelt and unlatch the car door.
"Macdonalds around midnight just hits differently," Joost remarked as he savored his first bite of the Big Mac.
"Would you like some?" He inquired, flashing me a comforting smile.
"Thanks, but I'm good," I replied, smiling back, enjoying my chicken nuggets. I noticed Joost eyeing them, so I pushed the box towards him and nodded, signaling he could give them a try.
"May I?" He inquired, gazing at me. He looked very handsome. His beautiful blue eyes peered through his thick-framed glasses. He wore a Burberry scarf around his neck. His sharp jawline was what made him truly attractive.
"Sure," I replied, looking down, aware that I was blushing intensely.
"You know I've never tasted chicken nuggets," he remarks as he takes one, slyly snatching the sauce I was using. He sampled the nugget while I indulged in some French fries that I also relished. I glanced out the window; it was entirely dim outside. Then I shifted my gaze back to Joost.
"Why did you block my number?" He inquired out of the blue. I sat upright, unable to provide a response to his query.
"I was occupied," I replied curtly, feeling a bit anxious that this conversation might escalate. He simply nodded, unsure of what to say. After a moment of contemplation, he finally broke the silence.
"Occupied with someone?" He inquired, prompting me to tilt my head slightly. I needed a moment to ponder and craft a thoughtful response. I wasn't preoccupied with anyone. I was simply engrossed in self-care, focusing on my mental well-being, striving to improve my life even just a little. My daily routine felt monotonous - waking up, having breakfast, heading to work, eating dinner, sleeping, and repeating the cycle. I grew weary of this routine. I longed for my parents, my younger sister, and the carefree days of childhood.
“No.” I replied dryly, as I took my final sips of coke. Joost had already pushed the box back, but I nudged it back to signal that he can have the last nuggets. He accepted the food, pondering his response before blurting out something foolish.
“So you were occupied with…?” He prompted me to complete the sentence. I simply sighed in response.
"My mental health," I respond, causing his eyebrows to shoot up in surprise.
"You could have informed me that you were having a tough time. I would have been there to support you," he says, gazing at me with concern.
"I just needed some time to myself," I say, hoping to end this conversation.
"You know, I felt foolish when you blocked me. You could have simply mentioned you weren't interested in me, and I would have backed off," he says, sitting upright, with a hint of remorse in his eyes as he gazes at my hands. I was fidgeting with my sleeve.
"Feeling tense?" He asks, taking hold of my hand. I wanted to say no, but deep down, I knew I could only answer yes.
"No. Not really." I respond, attempting to avoid the eye contact he's seeking.
"Do you desire any more food?" He inquired, and I simply shook my head to decline.
"Let’s go then." He suggests, gently patting my back. We exited the building together.
"I can walk home from here," I say, glancing at him. He was tall and had a very masculine appearance.
"Can I accompany you home?" He questioned, and unsure if it was a wise choice, I sensed it might be our last meeting for a long time, or possibly never again. Nevertheless, I nodded, and he grinned. We began walking towards my house.
"I like your scarf," I mentioned, breaking the silence. He didn't say anything but gently removed it and wrapped it around my head.
"It looks much more flattering on you," he remarks with a smile, reaching out to grasp my shoulder, drawing me closer to him. Suddenly, he makes a wrong turn.
"That's not the route to my place," I mention, furrowing my brows. I was nearly sober.
"I know. There's a spot I'd like to take you to," he mentions as we reach the bridge. The wind was strong, messing up Joost's hair. He tried to fix it quickly, but it didn't really work. I couldn't help but laugh, and he rolled his eyes, clicking his tongue in response.
"Hey, what's so funny?" he says playfully, giving me a gentle push.
"Nothing," I uttered as he drew me closer once more, and I simply relished the moment. It dawned on me that I was thoroughly enjoying the time with the tall Dutch gentleman. A quiet interval ensued until we reached a bridge. It was truly a sight to behold, and I couldn't resist capturing it in a photograph. Stepping back, I ensured Joost was also in the frame. He glanced at me, posed with a smile, and shaped a heart with his fingers.
"Aww, adorable!" I say with a smile, and he approached without a word. I tucked my phone away, and Joost simply embraced me. No words. No sounds. Just two individuals embracing at the bridge. Two hearts beating in unison.
"I deeply yearned for you," is the only utterance he managed.
"I missed you as well," I reply softly, maintaining the embrace. We linger in the moment before eventually deciding to head back home as the chill of the evening sets in.
"When do you plan to depart for Sweden?" I inquire purely out of interest.
"My manager mentioned they're counting on me to be at the hotel tomorrow," I respond, nodding in understanding.
"Are you not keen on joining me?" He inquired. He had already asked me this question during our meal.
"I'd be happy to join, but I need to find a way to make some money," I respond, to which he pouts in disappointment.
"I comprehend. Please inform me if your decision changes," he states, and I offer a smile. Upon reaching my residence, we bid our final farewells. He mentioned I could keep the scarf but requested something in return. As I lacked valuable items, he noticed my bag and a small keychain, a fluffy pink heart. He inquired about exchanging it, to which I happily agreed, asking if he desired anything else, but he declined. We shared a parting hug, and he mentioned he would text me. After he left, I unblocked his number but never received a message from him again.

@eddiemonth prompt: first concert | read on ao3
The first concert of Corroded Coffin's that Steve goes to, Eddie's a nervous wreck beforehand.
His hands are sweaty and he's wringing them as he paces outside after they get their equipment inside.
Jeff takes one look at him and sighs.
He knows how Eddie feels about Steve and he knows how important it is that they make a good impression on him. He might not understand the whole Steve thing, but he gets having a crush on someone unattainable.
Well-
When Eddie first told him about it, he thought it was just an unattainable little crush. Just something that happened because they got close after the earthquake. Steve was a new friend, someone Eddie hadn't known long enough to get used to, and he's - Jeff's not going to pretend he isn't attractive.
So he understood it, kind of. And the thought that the crush would fade once Eddie knew him for longer.
But Steve hanging around them, making an effort to get to know Jeff and Grant and Gareth, being nice to Jeff's mom- that had Jeff pausing and taking another look at the situation.
Because Steve didn't have to do any of that. He could hang out with Eddie, maybe the one freak he could tolerate, and call it a day.
But he was trying, and he was being better than he was in high school. Which, if anyone asks, Jeff would say he actually wasn't all that bad in high school compared to the others.
So Jeff looked a little more closely.
And saw the way Steve looks at Eddie, his eyes tracking him as he crosses the room. He saw the way Steve laughed at all of Eddie's jokes, even the ones he didn't understand. He saw the way Steve was always looking for an excuse to touch Eddie, putting a hand on his arm, putting a hand on his back, his arm around him, hugging him at the end of the night and the hugs lasting longer than any hug Jeff's ever had with a buddy.
He saw that and saw that this isn't a passing fancy for Eddie. He saw the way Eddie leaned into Steve unconsciously, the way he always looks for him first when entering a room, the way he lights up when he sees him. He saw the way Eddie seemed to like him more and more, and subsequently talk about him more and more, the more he got to know him.
So it wasn't just a crush.
And it wasn't unrequited like Eddie thought.
But now Jeff is watching him pace a hole in the ground and he can't exactly tell Eddie that he's 99% sure that Steve feels the same because 1. he wouldn't believe him and 2. that 1% of doubt is enough to deter him. This isn't something he can be wrong about. Even if feels mostly sure, he wouldn't ever say that he should go for it when it could turn ugly for him. This isn't a crush on some girl where the worst that could happen is that she says no.
So, for now, Jeff watches.
And Jeff hopes.
He hopes that they'll be able to see it for themselves. That Eddie will catch the way Steve looks at him and realize that it's the same way he looks at Steve.
He hopes that Steve will make a move, put those rumors of his suaveness to good use and woo Eddie.
He heads inside when he sees Gareth talking to Eddie, trying to calm him down.
He sees Steve and Robin, talking at a table near the front of the venue, and he makes a beeline for them.
"Jeff!" Steve says, smiling at him when he sees him coming over. He waves at both of them.
"Hey, can I talk to you for a sec?" he asks and when Steve furrows his brow and nods, he leads him away from Robin.
"What's going on?" Steve asks, looking worried.
He says, "Just, Eddie's really nervous about performing in front of you tonight. So, like, even if we suck or you don't like this kind of music, can you not say you didn't like it? Not that I think you'd be mean about it, but like-"
Steve looks at him confused. "I've listened to your tapes before. I like your music. I wouldn't- okay, I mean I'd still be here even if I didn't like it, but I do like it. Wait- why's Eddie nervous?" he asks. And Jeff hadn't planned on Steve asking that. Shit.
He says, "Because you're his coolest friend and he doesn't want to screw up in front of you."
Steve's expression softens. "I'm not- you know what? Okay. If it makes you feel better, I won't say I didn't like it."
"Okay," Jeff says, nodding, relieved. "And don't, like, mention I said anything."
"'Course," Steve says with a smile. "You're a good friend, Jeff."
Jeff grins at him and walks him back to his table. That 1% is looking awfully less and less with every conversation Jeff has with Steve.
The manager waves him over and tells them they can start setting up on stage, so he goes to get the others.
-
The show is good, once Eddie snaps out of his nerves.
It's actually impressive, seeing him with shaky hands as they get ready to start and then seeing him turn it on seamlessly like he was never nervous in the first place.
They play and Jeff watches the way Eddie keeps looking at Steve, keeps looking to make sure he looks like he's enjoying himself.
And Jeff sees Steve smiling the entire time, singing along to the cover songs they do and also to one of their original songs.
At the end of the night, after they get their stuff back in their van, he sees Eddie and Steve talking, standing close, one of Steve's hands playing with the hem of Eddie's shirt.
And he knows they'll get there eventually, even without his help.
They'll find their way to each other and see what Jeff sees.
He's sure of it.
As he gets in the driver's seat and looks over at Grant, he can only hope he'll get that too one day.

healing the heart- max verstappen
summary- reader is red bull’s admin, which is the beginning of a love story for reader and a certain driver
pairings- max verstappen x social media admin!reader
authors note- this one is kinda long🧍🏽‍♀️ and a lot of repeating words
Tumblr media
Y/N sat at her desk, scrolling through the latest photos of the Red Bull Racing team. As the social media admin for the team, it was her job to keep fans engaged and excited. Little did she know, her life was about to take an unexpected turn.
Max Verstappen, the talented Formula One racer, walked into her office. His eyes sparkled with mischief as he leaned against the doorframe, a playful grin on his face. Y/N couldn't help but feel her heart skip a beat.
"Hey there," Max said, his voice smooth and inviting. "Just wanted to see how our fans are doing."
Y/N blushed, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness as she looked up at him. "They're loving your recent win, Max. The support for you is insane."
He chuckled, running a hand through his tousled hair. "Well, it's all thanks to the amazing team we have, including you."
Y/N's heart fluttered at his words. She had always admired Max's talent and dedication, but she never imagined he would notice her. The idea of dating a Formula One racer seemed like a distant dream.
As the days passed, Max and Y/N spent more time together. They would grab lunch at the track, discussing everything from racing strategies to their favorite movies. Max's charm and down-to-earth nature made Y/N feel special, like she was the only person in his world.
One evening, after a grueling race, Max took Y/N out for a surprise dinner. He led her to a cozy restaurant with soft lighting and a breathtaking view of the city. Y/N couldn't help but smile, her heart pounding with anticipation.
Over a delicious meal, Max reached across the table, his warm hand finding hers. "Y/N, I never thought I'd find someone like you. You bring so much joy to my life."
Y/N's cheeks flushed as she looked into his deep, intense eyes. "Max, you've made me believe in love again. I've never met anyone who understands me like you do."
They leaned closer, their lips meeting in a gentle, passionate kiss. In that moment, all the doubts and fears Y/N carried in her heart melted away. Max was not only healing her heart but also filling it with a love she had always longed for.
As they broke apart, Max smiled, his eyes filled with affection. "Y/N, you're the missing puzzle piece in my life. I want to be with you, always."
Y/N felt her heart soar, tears of happiness glistening in her eyes. "Max, I feel the same way. Let's see where this journey takes us."
———
One sunny afternoon, Y/N sat at her desk, scrolling through Red Bull Racing's social media accounts. She admired the team's recent victory and smirked, knowing that she played a small role in their success. Just as she was about to close the tab, a message notification popped up.
Curious, Y/N clicked on it. Her heart skipped a beat when she read the name of the sender—it was Max.
"Hey, Y/N," the message read. "I have a surprise for you. Meet me at the race track tomorrow. Can't wait to see your reaction."
Y/N's excitement bubbled within her. She couldn't help but wonder what Max had in store. The next day, she arrived at the race track, her heart pounding with anticipation. Max stood by the pit lane, a mischievous smile on his face.
"Hey, Max," Y/N greeted, unable to hide her excitement. "What's the surprise?"
Max winked playfully before leading her towards the garage. Y/N's eyes widened as she saw a bright red race car, glistening under the track lights. She couldn't believe her eyes—Max had arranged for her to experience a ride in a real Formula 1 car.
"Is this for real?" Y/N gasped, her voice filled with awe.
Max chuckled, his eyes sparkling. "Absolutely, Y/N. I wanted to give you a taste of what it feels like to be on the track."
Y/N's heart raced with a mixture of nervousness and exhilaration. She slipped into a racing suit, her hands trembling with excitement. As she buckled up inside the car, Max looked at her with a reassuring smile.
"You ready?" he asked.
Y/N could barely contain her enthusiasm. "More than ever, Max."
The engine roared to life, and the car sped off down the track. Y/N felt an adrenaline rush like she had never experienced before. The wind whipped through her hair, and the G-forces pressed her against the seat. She held on tight, laughing and screaming in pure euphoria.
As the ride came to an end, Y/N stepped out of the car, her legs trembling but her heart soaring. Max approached her, his eyes filled with joy.
"See, Y/N," he said, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Life is full of unexpected twists and turns. And sometimes, those twists lead to the most extraordinary moments."
Y/N nodded, her heart pounding with newfound courage. In that moment, she realized that she had not only found love but also a partner who would never stop surprising her.
Little did Y/N know, the surprises were just beginning, and their love story was far from over.
———
Y/N's heart swelled with excitement as she stepped into the Red Bull garage. The familiar scent of rubber and gasoline filled the air, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging in this world that Max Verstappen inhabited.
Max stood there, leaning against the sleek Red Bull car, his eyes lighting up at the sight of Y/N. She couldn't help but notice a hint of nervousness in his gaze, his hands fidgeting with the hem of his race suit.
"Hey," Y/N greeted, her voice filled with anticipation. "What's up?"
Max smiled, but there was something off about it. His voice, normally confident and vibrant, seemed strained as he replied, "Hey, Y/N. Listen, we need to talk."
A flicker of worry danced across Y/N's face as she sensed the seriousness in his tone. "Sure, what's on your mind?"
Max took a deep breath, his eyes searching hers. "I... I heard something today. A rumor about you and Daniel."
Confusion washed over Y/N. Daniel? As in Daniel Ricciardo, Max's former teammate? She couldn't fathom what Max had heard, or how it could possibly involve her.
"What kind of rumor?" she asked, her heart sinking with each passing second.
Max hesitated, his voice barely above a whisper. "They said you and Daniel... you had something before we got together. Is it true?"
Y/N felt her whole world crumble at Max's words. How could he believe such a thing? Her mind raced as she tried to find the right words to explain, but the hurt in Max's eyes made her stumble.
"Max, I... I can't believe you would think that. Daniel and I are just friends, nothing more," she pleaded.
Max's expression softened, but doubt still flickered in his eyes. "I want to believe you, Y/N. But... it's hard. I've been hurt before."
Tears welled up in Y/N's eyes as she reached out to touch Max's arm gently. "I understand your fears, Max, but you have to trust me. There's nothing between Daniel and me. You're the only one in my heart."
Max's resolve seemed to waver for a moment before he sighed and nodded. "Okay. I want to believe you, Y/N. I really do."
Relief flooded Y/N's heart, but a small part of her remained wounded. She never expected such a misunderstanding to tarnish their connection, their deep bond.
As they stood there, their emotions still raw, Y/N knew that healing Max's heart would take time. But she was willing to fight for the love they had found and prove to him that their love story was far from over.
With determination in her eyes, Y/N whispered, "I'll do whatever it takes to show you that you're the only one for me, Max. Trust me."
Max's uncertainty slowly faded away as he gazed into Y/N's eyes, seeing the sincerity in her words. "I want to trust you, Y/N. Let's work through this together."
Hand in hand, they walked out of the garage, ready to face the challenges that lay ahead. Love wasn't always simple, but the connection they shared was worth fighting for.
As Y/N and Max stood outside the bustling Red Bull garage, a gentle breeze swept through the air, carrying with it a feeling of newfound hope and clarity. Y/N looked into Max's eyes, her own filled with sincerity.
"Max, I promise you, there's nothing going on between me and Daniel," Y/N said, her voice soft yet resolute. "He's just a friend. The only person who holds my heart is standing right in front of me."
A flicker of relief crossed Max's face, his eyes searching Y/N's for any sign of dishonesty. Finding none, he let out a deep sigh and a small smile slowly formed on his lips.
"I believe you, Y/N," he replied, his voice filled with a mix of vulnerability and determination. "But there's something I need to tell you too."
Curiosity danced in Y/N's eyes as she waited for Max to continue. She knew that love required honesty and trust, no matter how difficult the conversation might be.
"When I heard that rumor about you and Daniel, I have to admit, jealousy consumed me," Max confessed, his voice tinged with remorse. "I didn't want to lose you, Y/N. You mean everything to me."
Touched by Max's honesty, Y/N reached out and gently placed her hand on his, intertwining their fingers. "Max, I'm sorry that I unknowingly caused you pain. My heart has always belonged to you. I'd never do anything to jeopardize what we have."
A sparkle of understanding glimmered in Max's eyes as he squeezed Y/N's hand. "I know that now, Y/N. We all have insecurities, but love is about overcoming them together."
In that moment, the weight of doubt and misunderstanding seemed to dissipate, replaced by a renewed sense of love and acceptance. Y/N and Max had weathered their first major test as a couple, emerging stronger than ever.
As they strolled hand in hand through the Red Bull paddock, laughter spilled from their lips, filling the air with lightness. Y/N's heart soared as they talked about their dreams, their future, and the adventures they yearned to embark on together.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, but the spark between Y/N and Max never waned. Their love continued to flourish, fueled by their shared passion for life and their unwavering support for each other.
Y/N's role as Red Bull Racing's social media admin became the backdrop to their love story, punctuated by exhilarating races, joyous celebrations, and heartfelt tributes. Their connection extended beyond the racetrack, as they found solace in the quiet moments spent cuddling on the couch, watching movies, and sharing their hopes and fears.
Together, Y/N and Max had crafted a love story that defied distance, challenges, and rumors. They had learned that true love doesn't mean the absence of difficulties, but rather the strength to face them together.
As they looked ahead, excitement surged through their veins. The future held unknown adventures, but armed with the love they shared, Y/N and Max were ready to face whatever lay ahead.

Admit? Deny?
2022
Hungary GP
With Hungary being in europe Laurent, Cecilia’s brother was able to make it to the race with his oldest two children, who he was in charge of as well as Nathalie, his wife had to stay back home with their third child, so had to take care of the three kids on his own, which he’s done one many occasions.
One difference this time, he did not take into account how much the kids would take in and get hyper, they’ve been given sweets and running circles around him all day, the only time they settled down was for Qualifying the day before and parts of the race. Nathalie had her cousins sit down and watch as her mum secured another P2, and how her daddy got P1. She was the proudest little girl and as always she liked showing her parents off, well to those that knew about the couple anyways.
Laurent doesn’t know how it happened, but Nathalie had managed to slip away from his grasp. The girl was out of his sight in a second, he had no idea where she went, he had both his kids by the hand as he panicked and asked around, asking for the help of Mercedes team members, the whole of the team was searching for the 6 year-old, if they don't find her and it gets back to her parents they’ll have a very angry Mercedes and RedBull drivers on their hands, if not all the grid.
*
Cecilia was unaware of her missing daughter as she waited for a spot in the media pen to open up so she’d go inside. Charles was finishing up his last interview, and came over to her side, they both talked for a couple of minutes, no doubt the fans spotting them in the back of the interviews. Max was more than halfway done with his lap of interviews when Cecilia went in.
Charles was still lurking around when he saw a familiar head of blonde hair slipping around, dodging people left and right, he knew the headband on top of her head, he got her that one, it was red. Charles frowned and moved to intercept her from getting into the pen, but she saw him and gave him a mischievous look and just as he was about to get her she slipped inside the pen.
“Nattie!” Charles called, gaining the attention of the parents, just as Nathalie reached her destination hugging her parent’s legs, looking up with an innocent smile.
Max looked at his girlfriend and gave her a reassuring nod, not wanting to draw attention to her daughter choosing Max over her, she turned back to the interviewer with a smile. Max picked up Nathalie, the girl beyond happy to be with Max, but overly shy when she saw the cameras around her.
“Say hi to the cameras, Nat.” Nathalie smiled and waved to the cameras, Max and the interviewer smiled at her cuteness, Max gave Charles a nod for the monegasque to calm down, the Ferrari driver looked more worried than the parents. “Looks like I have a companion today.”
“Cecilia, it looks like your daughter has made it to the arms of your rival at RedBull.” The interviewer stated and she turned to look at Max and Nattie, Nathalie was looking around in wonder, her first time seeing the action from this point of view and not from the garage and on screen.
“Yeah, well we're off the track so I'd say she's with my friend.” Cecilia replies with a smile, more than a friend.
“How do you feel having her here, seeing your face and on the podium.”
“I feel beyond happy, her seeing me achieving my dream, being the first woman to do what I'm doing, you know it sets her up with the mentality that she had do whatever she wants and that her gender is not a limit that she can achieve whatever she wants if she just set her mind to it.” Cecilia had that smile on her face, her voice was loving and bright not just from her podium but from thinking and talking about the best thing that has ever happened to her.
“And do you think we'll be seeing her on track in the future?”
“Maybe, she's been karting before, and only over the last year that she started wanting to go every weekend, so we'll have to wait and see, Charles has also been taking, he’s making her a Ferrari enthusiast.” Cecilia said with a laugh before the questions then turned back to the race and she moved from interviewer to another doing her circle.
She'd hear Nathalie laughing and giggling as all the drivers passing her would poke her or tickle her and Nathalie is at the age now where once she gets over her shyness and just LOVES the attention.
Max was moving to his last interview with Nattie still refusing to let go of him, he asked her if she wanted to go to her mother and she refused.
“Daddy, are you almost done?” Max's eyes snap from Nathalie to the interview and everyone around him, wanting to see if anyone heard Nattie, and no one showed any reaction, he breathes a sigh of relief.
“Last one, schatje.” He whispers to her and kisses her cheek. “You can go to the garage if you want. Uncle Lewis can take you.”
Max said and looked at the Mercedes driver who just answered his last question. Lewis, having heard him move closer, opens his hand for Nathalie. Nathalie looked conflicted for a few seconds before she moved toward Lewis, she was starting to feel tired from all the playing she's been doing with her cousins, she sugar crash hitting her hard.
“Hey sweetheart.”
“And there goes your daughter to your teammate.” Cecilia turned and saw Lewis walking away with her little girl, shaking her head at the attention her daughter managed to gain by crashing the media pen, it’ll be all over her social media by the time she’s back in the garage.
“She loves her grid uncles.”
Unbeknownst to them, how much her presence is about to change.
The interview was live and as much as nobody on scene didn't pick up Nathalie’s words, people at home sure picked it up. And Twitter was on fire, theories and demands for answers were raised. Neither drivers had their phones yet both in debrief, RedBull and Mercedes’ PR teams were the first to find out that there's something going on, both teams' social media were blowing up.
Toto was talking with his team when a frazzled woman rushed in from the PR team, all eyes snapped to her. She looked nervous as she walked up to Toto and whispered something to him. His eyes snapped to Cecilia making her and Lewis share a look. Cecilia stood from her place and walked closer.
“What happened?” She asked knowing full well that it has to be about her.
“Nathalie… she uh.” The female trailed off looking to Toto to continue, but just the mention of her daughter had Cecilia on edge.
“What's wrong? Did something happen with her-”
“No, no she's fine.” Toto interrupts her shaking his head, knowing how the mind of parents work. “She just accidentally called Max dad on live TV, and apparently social media is in uproar.”
“Oh.” Was all Cecila could say, as her mind ran over what she just learned, it wasn't the worst thing that could happen, but this isn't what the couple or the teams had planned. “What do we do?”
“We'll have to talk to RedBull about it after the briefing.”
By the time Merc team were done both PR teams were gathered at Mercedes meeting room. Lewis was in charge of Nattie with Laurent wanting to stick around and see what the teams would agree on.
Cecilia sat down in an empty chair, she didn't have to wait long before Max and Christian came in. Max sat next to his girlfriend while Christian took the empty seat at the head of the table across from Toto.
And so the talking began, she felt like she was back to when people first found out she's a mother. Words were flying around the room as both teams struggled to agree on the best course of action for both drivers. And they were set aside no one asking them what they wanted to, as if this didn't involve them at all.
Deny. Say the truth. Slipped. Accident. Agree. Children are innocent. And so on and so forth. A repeat of last year. This time Mercedes and RedBull are at each other’s throats.
“I don't understand why we're having this conversation.” Max didn't have to raise his voice for everyone to shut up and listen to him. He was unamused. All this talk made nonsense to him and he's not the type to hide his distaste. His hand was intertwined with Cecilia’s under the table.
“What don't you understand?” Christian asked his driver leaning back in his chair, he knew how to handle Max, but it doesn't mean he loved it. Max is good at what he does but sometimes, sometimes his temper gets the best of him. Christian sent a silent prayer for this meeting to end well.
“What are you all arguing about, I mean Cecilia and I are dating and you all knew that, it was only a matter of time before someone slipped.” Max explained shrugging his shoulders with a slight shake to his head.
“It's not just the fact that you’re both in a relationship, which is a big thing in itself but Nathalie called you her dad.” Toto pointed out.
“When no one knows who her father is.” Christian added and his eyes went to Cecilia.
“I'm not telling you who he is, if that's what you're concerned about.” Cecilia tone left nothing to be added to that subject, this is a sensitive topic for her. “We can say he's not her biological father, but that's all I'll ever say about this topic.”
“Look, its nobody's business anyways, just confirm that we're dating.” Max stated wanting to be done with this.
“Its not that simple.” One of the staff said.
“Then simplify it.” Max leaned forwards speaking with his hands now, Cecilia placed her hand on his thigh under the table to try and calm him down.
“Its not just you two that are involved, there's the teams, sponsors, fans and even the FIA.” The same staff added, they were brave to be honest because Max was getting agitated and they were not handling the situation right.
”Again, we didn’t break any rules, both our teams knew about our relationship and about Nathalie, so why does it sound like you’re all surprised?” Max asked his brain not comprehending why they’re still making a big deal out of this, this just doesn’t make any sense at all.
”Because they thought we’d break-up before it ever went public.” Cecilia stated and everyone went silent, Max’s head snapped to look at his girlfriend, Cecilia looked up from her hand on the table and met every single eye that was looking at her. “Isn’t it right? Both teams? You all secretly hoped we’d break up.”
”For fucks sake.” Max muttered, he rubbed his eyes in frustration realising that what Cecilia was saying is true, the teams continued to stay silent and that just proves it, Merc and RB may be rivals and handn’t talked about it but they had the same hope. it would’ve been easier and made the duo more competitive on the track. Alas little Nathalie ruined their hopes and dreams with her slip up.
”I don’t think we’ll be coming to an agreement right now.” Toto said and Christian agreed, that was all it took for the couple to stand up and leave as did everyone else. Cecilia went back to her room and Max to his. They collected their things, Cecilia met Lewis and her brother giving them a brief talk about what happened at the meeting before they got her nephews and daughter before she was led out discreetly off the track and into her ride back to the hotel.
Max wasn’t as lucky, on his way to the car, the media found him and surrounded the dutch driver. Max kept a poker face as he moved through the crowd with his team and to the car. He had received a text from Cecilia that they made it to the car and were okay, that was the only thing calming him down.
But as the car ride was silent, Max’s mind brewed with all kinds of things, he knew where he stood and he didn't care about anything else at the moment.
When he got to the hotel room he shares with his girlfriend and Nathalie, Nattie was already showered and in her PJs while Cecilia was doing her skin care, they would be leaving the next day, so they could relax for the rest of the night and pack everything up early morning.
“Daddy.” Nattie shouted and ran to Max, as she always does whenever they’re alone, and he knows that it must’ve taken everything out of the little girl not to do the same thing whenever she saw him on track.
”Hey, sweet girl.” Max stopped her up for a hug, that she returned and clung to him, Cecilia finished up in the bathroom and joined them, Max leaned in and they shared a short but sweet kiss.
”Come on cheri, let daddy shower and then we can watch a movie and cuddle.” Cecilia said knowing that her daughter loved nothing more than cuddling between her parents and chilling, she did miss them when they were travelling so she held the moments they shared close to her heart.
”Can I pick the movie?”
”Of course you can.” Max replied and gently threw the girl onto the bed, Nathalie screamed and giggled, making the adult chuckle at her cuteness.
After Max had showered they did exactly what they were set out to do, and had a movie playing of Nathalie’s choosing, she was cuddling up to Max before she fell asleep not half an hour into the movie, having run around all day had exhausted her. Nathalie moved in her sleep and cuddled up to her mother instead, Cecilia was fighting sleep herself, wanting to talk to Max, but her tiredness was catching up to her.
”Just sleep, shatje.” Max whispered seeing how every time she closed her eyes it took longer for her to open them, Cecilia didn't even try to fight him and just let her eyes close. Max sat there watching his girls as they slept peacefully and he was the happiest he could. In that moment he was content, moments where he has his family besides him gives Max a kind of happiness that he can never get with winning a race, he never expected a few years ago that he’d be in a committed relationship with his childhood rival and that they’d have a daughter together albeit she’s not biologically his, she’s everything to him. And so he knew what he had to do, so he took one out of Cecilia’s books and decided to break his instagram feed that was only racing related and post something, hell with his team and their ideas, what will they do? Fire him? Not a chance he’s winning them championships and gaining points every week, they wouldn't lose him for something like this, he turns the do not disturb on his phone and Cecilia’s to ignore the coming calls from the teams through the night.
So he went to sleep like he woke up, with his family feeling happy.
The next day Cecilia wakes up first and gets out of the bed to use the bathroom, once she is done she goes back to the bedroom and looks for her phone finding it on Max’s side of the bed. She frowns seeing all the text messages and notifications she has, one thing that catches her eye is the post notification for Max’s instagram, clicking it she smiles, before she laughs, the noise wakes Max instantly and causes Nathalie to move on the empty side of the bed.
”What?” Max asks his morning voice rough and slow, he takes Cecilia’s hand and she just shakes her head at him in amusement, a smile on her face.
”You Max Verstappen are a one of a kind.” Cecilia says and leans down pressing her lips to Max’s in a loving kiss.
”What did I do?” Max asks his brain not fully on yet, but he’s happy if that’s the reaction he got. Max places his hand on the side of her thigh furthest from him after she leans back now sitting on the bed beside him.
“You just told the world that you have a 6 year old girl and for everyone to essentially go fuck themselves if they’re bothered by it.” Still smiling, Cecilia looks at her boyfriend.
”Well, it’s the truth and now I can have Nathalie on my side of the garage.” Cecilia shakes her head at him.
”I love you so much, Max.”
”I love you too.” Max says smiling and he tugs her slightly. “Get back to bed, it’s not even 6 yet.”
Cecilia felt too awake to sleep but she slips back in bed between Nathalie and Max this time, Max pulls her flush against him wrapping his arms around her. It doesn’t take too long for him to fall back asleep, while Cecilia stays on her phone and scrolls through the text messages she’s gotten over the night before heading to her social media to see what people are saying.

♡ bachira
Bachira is a sports scholar of the university, which means he prioritizes his duties in the soccer team over academics. And you were an irregular student, since you came from a different university to shift majors. You have been friends with Bachira since the beginning of the semester because of your shared “weird” schedule compared to the other students in your year. When he is in the field, you’re on the benches, waiting for him to finish to attend your special class together, or just simply killing time together at a fast food or park.  Bachira genuinely thought that he'd be a loner when he first stepped foot in the university, but you made sure he never was. Which he appreciated in so many ways, so he started returning the favor by tailing you at all times too.
You weren't sure if it was simply a kind gesture, or he was genuinely intrigued with getting close with you. The thing is.. You were catching feelings for the boy. And it will change the course of your relationship. But you were actually the first one to confess.
“Fine, I’ll do it.” You turn to Isagi, a mutual friend of you and Meguru. “Really?” He sounded amazed, finally proud that you acted on your feelings towards Bachira. You have been telling Isagi about how you wanted to “confess” to Bachira without having to stress on a cheesy message that high schoolers do, until Isagi gave you an idea of giving Bachira your name tag, a form of confession of girls to boys in Korea.
“[ Y / N ], this is for you!” Bachira yelled from the field as he dribbled, then kicked the ball straight to the goal. You smiled at him and stuck your thumbs out to cheer him on. “It’s all going to go well. I think he likes you too.” Isagi said as he stood up. “Who knows, maybe you’ll spend Valentine’s together!” He teased before jogging back to the field.
You didn’t exactly plan on how you will hand your tag to him. Should you do it like the ones on TV? Call him to a special place and then hand it to him? You tried to think of different places as you walked down the halls, running your thumb over the embroidered letters of your name on the patch.
At the corner of your eye, you spot the lockers outside the gym. You stopped your tracks when you realized that Bachira had one of those. Searching for his name, you slipped your name tag in between the thin gaps of the locker and hoped for the best.
That night, you shut your phone off out of anxiety and decided to check it by tomorrow, when he’s probably seen your little gift to him. However, your body froze when his name still didn’t show up in your messages. Hasn’t he seen it yet? Or, maybe, he did… You waited all day for a message, heck, for him to even knock on your door but there was nothing.
What if he just didn’t know what it meant? Maybe he’ll just return it when you see each other again which is… in two days. However, when you showed up in the field on Monday, bachira was nowhere to be found. Isagi also mentioned that the boy was barely texting over the weekend, which was the last straw in making you panic.
“I dropped the name tag in his locker! What if— what if he saw it and he’s avoiding me now?!” You held onto Isagi’s shoulders. “Wait, what?!” He exclaimed. “Okay, maybe I am a pussy for not giving it in person—” You rambled, until you noticed that Isagi’s eyes trailed behind you. “[ Y / N ], someone’s looking for you.” He spoke. You look at him in confusion before turning to your back. Bachira had just arrived and quietly looked at you, and then went back to Isagi.
“[ Y / N ], can we talk?” He finally asks. “Yeah, sure.” You were obviously nervous. You’ve never felt this tense with Bachira before, especially when the both of you were dead silent as you headed to the campus gardens.
“Well, First of all, I’m sorry—” For what simultaneously felt like a second and eternity, your mind jumped into the worst case scenario— a rejection. However, your mind quickly went back to reality when he continued talking. “There were lots of clothes in my locker and I believe this got buried at the bottom.” He held your name tag up with a sly smile. “I got sick over the weekend and didn’t see it until this morning, so… I’m sorry.” He chuckled.
“Oh… yeah, no worries.” You casually chuckled. “No, I definitely made you worried. My bad.” He insisted. You stood for a moment and looked into each other's eyes in silence before he reached for his shirt pocket, and handed you something.
Now that he knows for a fact that you reciprocate his feelings, he was confident. Before he went to you, Bachira called his mom and she gave her just the right push to show you just how much he adores you the same way you did.
You felt your body heat up when you realized it was the second button of his uniform shirt, sitting on the palm of your hand. Bachira had a shy smile as he watched you react to his response. “So… it’s Valentine’s day tomorrow and… I was wondering if you want to go out with me…” Bachira thought it was perfect timing and reason to ask you out, something he’d been on the fence for over a while now.
“Well, we always go out, but, I want to—” You reached your hands up to Bachira’s soft cheeks and offered him your lips before feeling him pull your chin towards him gently and eventually envelop his lips with yours. You kissed fiercely, smiling at each other's mouths.
“Of course, I do.” You whispered and hooked your finger into his belt loop and pulled him into a deeper kiss
Tumblr media
♡ nagi
Nagi was quick to realize his feelings for you, especially after Isagi teased him for blushing when you practically threw yourself into him for a hug when the team you were cheering for won the game. He wasn’t particularly fond of all the blushing when he unexpectedly meets you in the hallways or trying to speak to you without his heart racing.
So he decided on confessing to you, but he wasn't quite sure how. Nagi is a simple man, he wanted it forward, but memorable. The fact that he wasn’t sure of your romantic preferences was what makes him nervous and taking quite long.
The thoughts of his confession continued to haunt him, he would overthink about different scenarios during practice, and one time he even messed up a level in his game because he thought of you thinking he was too corny. Thankfully, the boys cut him some slack as they understand what he’s going through, at the same time, helping him think of ways to confess and ensuring he is cool enough to pull you.
On the other hand, you were clueless why Nagi started to suddenly choke on his words around you, but you think it was cute. One thing you liked doing for Nagi is watching his soccer matches. He is highly motivated in the field and took the game seriously. But when you walk up to him with a bottle of energy drink after every match, he’s back to being the shy boy, especially when his teammates not-so-secretly cheer and holler at your little interaction.
“Hey, Nagi? Wanna get something to eat before going home?” You looked up at him hopefully. You lived close to him, but he lived further away from the university than you did. So you often walked each other home for convenience. With the exception of the one incident when Nagi started dozing off and you had to tow him along while he was seated on a skateboard.
“Yeah, sure.”
“Fried chicken?” You grinned at him. At this, Nagi smiled a little, but said nothing more. You two walked slowly out of the campus, and towards the place. The rest of the time, as you both ate, you spoke about somewhat common subjects like your weekend plans or any antics of his teammates.
Nagi was contemplating how he could get the most out of this conversation, despite how much he wanted to hear you exclaim with excitement about your plans. Maybe after all, you were the final push he needed for his confession all along. Your heart felt like it was going to catch fire as Nagi appeared to mirror the sea of emotion that was in your eyes while he carefully listened to what you had to say.
You both finished your meals, Nagi insisted on paying the check, and you left the restaurant into the chilly evening air. “What’s the occasion?” You giggle when you put your coat on, and then meet Nagi’s serious expression.
If he’s not scared, he’s not taking a chance.
And if he’s not taking a chance… then what the hell is he doing?
“[ Y / N ]...”
“Yeah?” Nagi now had everything planned out. The dinner was his treat, and tomorrow after class, he'll simply let the button of his uniform speak to you. “I’m going to confess to you tomorrow so wait for me after school, okay?” The anxiety was long gone but most certainly not the honesty. You were equally amazed and perplexed by his words. It was already a confession, wasn't it?
“Oi, why are you all smiley?” Nagi still doesn't realize his mistake of blurting out what was on his mind. “Because…. You already confessed to me.” You chuckled, looking up at him with a thin smile. “Eh—” Nagi recalled the words in his mind and had an internal panic attack. “F-forget what I said—”
“No, I refuse to forget that.” You took a step closer towards Nagi before slowly taking his right hand that redeemed all the terror in his system. “Tell me…” You spoke softly, toying with the collar of his coat. And so with an exhale, Nagi pulled on the second button of his school uniform before taking it to your hand that was intertwined with his, “one’s most beloved person.” He decreed.
You felt Nagi's hands raise your chin up, and before you could say anything, you felt his lips on yours. As you moved your lips against his, he waited patiently for your consent before proceeding. At first, Nagi’s eyes were a tangle of turmoil and both of yours were wide with optimism. You move forward towards him and put your hands up around his neck as you close your eyes in happiness.
The risk was worth it.

♡ rin
Three weeks had already passed since you were left hanging by a potential love figure; Rin Itoshi. And up to this day, you still feel like being swallowed to the ground every time you recall the memory. It all started when you happened to share drinks with him at an afterparty, in celebration of the win of their team in the national tournaments.
And with the help of alcohol, you had his number by the end of the night and started talking to him since then. Rin isn’t too much of a dry texter like anyone would assume, but definitely isn’t talkative either. Your usual greetings and ranting about your professors grew into telling how each other’s days went, sending pictures of something cool you saw, and even an unexpected shirtless mirror selfie of him in the locker room after a game.
It was like winning the lottery, really. Knowing that other people at campus died to even get his attention.
Just when things seemed to go smoothly with Rin, you finally agreed to go on a date together in a simple cafe just around the town.  However, when you arrived at the hour you agreed on, he was nowhere to be found. He never arrived that night, nor did you message him ever again; you were too embarrassed and angry to bitch out on him, knowing well that having hard feelings with Rin never ends well.
So you ignored him on campus as best as you can. You were doing good with your mission, until the day of your senior trip arrived. You were unfortunately sat next to him on the bus.  Rin didn’t show it, but he was floored. He didn’t dare to spare a glance towards your way, and neither did you. He was the one who stood you up, why is he the one acting smug? Rin remained unbothered and had his eyes peered on the cars and trees passing by, oblivious of the dagger stares you were now throwing at him.
“Do you wanna watch a movie?” He spoke up and offered you an ear bud, still not making sure contact. “Oh, so we’re talking again?” You blurt, audibly upset with him. “I’m being nice.” Rin sighed. “I don’t wanna watch your stupid movie.” You spat and turned your back to him. “Have fun getting bored for the next four hours.” He spoke smugly. “Dick.” You mumbled and threw your hoodie over your head.
Rin knows what you were doing. You had every right to act the way you do towards him, just as he anticipated. He knows that there was nothing he could do about it, so he didn’t bother to even plan out a conversation with you. However, He wished that he would have dealt with things differently. You did not deserve to be stood up on that date and it is unfair of him to act like nothing happened. For the first time in his life— Itoshi Rin was conflicted and unsure.
You slowly fell into slumber as the bus’ movement rocked you like a baby. However, you shifted halfway through your sleep and fell right onto Rin’s shoulder. He wasn’t oblivious of this, but let you get comfortable in his touch anyways. Rin felt tense, startled, even. And you weren’t even awake. He was debating whether to rest his head on yours too, but before he could act, the bus was already pulling over at the beach resort you were heading to.
You woke up feeling suspiciously comfortable, realizing where you have been sleeping for the last hour. “Thought I had to drag you out of here.” Rin already had your bags in his hand. You threw him a quick thanks before heading straight to your respective room, loathing how you let yourself fall asleep on Rin’s shoulder for god knows how long. He probably thinks that you’re still chasing after him.
Shortly, you were now dipped in the pool with your friends and classmates. You knew you had to emerge when your fingers started to prune. You were surprised that Rin didn’t come along, considering that his friends, Aryu and Tokimitsu, were around. You were ready to call it a night until some guys in your year invited you to their room for drinks. Everyone seemed to be headed there right now, but you weren’t particularly in the mood for partying.
“I’m gonna have to pass tonight. I hope there's one tomorrow?” You awkwardly smiled at the visibly drunk guys. “Come on, we’ll make sure you have fun alright.” One of them spoke and took you by the wrist. “H-hey, I said I’m fine.” You tried to turn but the other guys were already blocking your way. “Scram. Junichi, Keisuke.” A voice coming from the staircase startled the brothers.
“[ Y / N ]’s coming with me. Leave us.” Rin’s first instinct was to cover your soaked swimwear and skin with his varsity jacket. “I totally had that.” You scoffed. “Come on, not even a ‘thank you’?” He stuffed his hands in his pockets. “I’m really upset with you, you know?” You blurt with a sigh. “You’ve made that very obvious.” Rin flatly spoke, before breathing out, “You’re the only one in this university to genuinely get my interest.” “I didn’t show up because… I wanted to be sure.”He added.  “Sure of what?”
He was forward, but you liked how he also conformed into the button-giving confession style. You weren’t sure if Rin had picked up on you being a hopeless romantic, but it worked. “Be mine.” Rin said with a heartstopping smirk that showed just enough of his smile, the button to his uniform pinched in between his index and middle finger. You had no words at Rin’s sudden confession.
You felt your cheeks heat up as he leaned closer to you, slowly backing you against the wall. “Rin—” You whimpered at his touch, but his eyes glistened with adoration and lust, for none other than you. Rin leaned down slowly, his eyes only focused on your lips as he pressed his own softly to yours.

♡ chigiri
The most hesitant. He didn't really feel the need to tell you since he believed that his feelings for you were simply a passing infatuation, nothing more than a silly memory he would laugh about as you grow up. This just gave him the courage to openly express his feelings for you, which seemed to have succeeded given the energy you reciprocated.
However, when his accident happened, it was no secret that it took a toll on his career and relationship, including yours. Yet, it also truly astounded him and made him understand that you weren't simply just a silly crush.
You assisted him with his physical therapy when his family was unable to do so, you didn't get angry when he demanded space, you never missed an opportunity to distract him from his injury even just for the slightest second, and most importantly— you treated him in the same manner as before rather than looking at him with pity like other people might have.
You are the calm in the middle of the storm; and something about it just served to deepen his feelings for you. Chigiri believes that you made him better when he was back in the field in no time. However, bittersweet news came when he was offered an opportunity in Blue Lock.
You were often inside his mind during his entire stay in the project; wondering how you fared on your own, and also hoping that no one’s replaced his place in your life.
So when he finished his goals at the project, he wasted no time in coming back home to his family, and you. However, a long time has passed and you have gone off to college in a different city. Chigiri's mother strongly encouraged him to follow suit and get a sports scholarship, considering that the term just started as well.
You missed Chigiri dearly, but proud of all his accomplishments in the Blue Lock project. So when you mother informed you that he had returned and is attending your university, you pulled every string you could to find out which program he took and where the hell he was; bringing you here to room 505 of the boys’ dormitory. “Damnit, it’s real.” The words barely came out of your mouth. Chigiri changed since the last time you saw him; the hair framing his face grew significantly longer, his body grew a more lean frame, and grew some height.
“[ Y / N ]!” Chigiri is floored, to say the least; finding you at his doorstep. He didn’t show it, but his heart was racing as you studied each other’s faces. He had been meaning to look for you but getting settled in took much of his time, but here you were now. “Mom told me that you went here and I never really saw you around—”
“It’s okay.” Chigiri held you in a big embrace and let you giggle over his shoulder before uttering a quick “Hi.” “So, I heard that you just got in?” You asked “Yeah.” “I never knew you were coming home.” You admitted. “Well, we have time before the next cup.” Chigiri explained, rubbing soft circles on your back.
“I’m so proud of you.” You smiled before pulling away. “How about we get some karinto and I’ll show you around?” You offered. “They serve karinto here?!” He exclaimed, mouth almost watering at the thought of his favorite dish that he hasn't had in so long. “Why else do you think I chose this school?” You remarked. “I’ll get my coat!”
You didn't seem to run out of things to tell the boy as you walked around the campus while he stuffed his mouth with the sweets. and neither did he; telling you about the friends and enemies he's made inside the project. “Everyone pretty much minds their own business here so you’re free to sleep or cry.” You were at the final stop on your tour and were pointing out the library to Chigiri through the window.
“Speaking from experience?” He teased. “Yes. Simultaneously.” You shamelessly admit, earning a laugh from him. “So, that’s about it.” You concluded before tossing the dessert packaging in the bin. “That was way better than the campus tour the president gave me.” Chigiri mumbled. “You already had a tour?!” You scolded. “Of course. I’m a celebrity now.” He winked. “Besides, I wanted a reason to spend time with you.” Chigiri laughed. “You’re so corny.” You hit a playful punch on his arm. “Let me tell you about the time when an opponent asked me what shampoo I use right before a match…”
After making another round trip around the campus, you returned to Chigiri's dormitory just as his story came to an end. “So, this is you.” You smiled as you stopped at his doorstep. “Yup. Right where you picked me up.” Chigiri remarked, wishing he could come up with something to stay with you longer. “It was really good to see you again.” You sighed and embraced him once again.
You almost melted in his presence when he returned the embrace while you felt his muscles hug you delicately. “I missed you.” He chuckled at the sudden affection. “I missed you too.” Your warmth made it impossible to leave. “Good night, Chigiri.”
Chigiri couldn’t get himself to open his door without you by his side. All the “what if’s” haunted him all at once as he watched you walk away slowly. He knows that you have some time together, but he wouldn’t let another chance slip again.
So with a deep sigh and a strong pull on his uniform button, Chigiri called for your name.“[ Y / N ]!”
“Oh, thank god.” You mumbled to yourself before practically sprinting to the man.  “I couldn’t stop thinking about you.” Chigiri professed, taking your face in his hands. “I’m scared… I’m scared as hell to want you, but I’m here wanting you anyway. And the fear means I have something to lose, right? I don’t want to lose you.” He stammered and pressed his forehead against yours in a delicate embrace.
“And I’ve always liked you.” He opened his eyes and put his button in your own hand. “I like you too,” You gladly accepted his confession before finally closing the gap in between your lips. For a brief moment, he felt relief in his embrace before the kiss turned fierce. Chigiri blindly reached for the door knob before the door gave way and within a second, he already had you pinned on the other side of it.

A date? (PART TWO!!)
Theo kept to his word. After leaving the cafe he took her hand in his once more, intertwining their fingers together. He walked so close to her that their shoulders kept brushing.
"D'you want to go to the bookstore?" Y/N asked innocently, batting her pretty little eyelashes at him in a way she knew always worked on him.
He pursed his lips and acted as though he was annoyed by the prospect of going there, even though he had planned to go there. After all that was the one store she had gone to consistently every time she was at Hogsmeade. "I suppose so." He rolled his eyes with a grin and she shoved him lightly.
Theo tossed their empty cups into a trash can before he held the door open for her and let her in.
Theo watched her face as it morphed into this giddy childlike expression and found himself smiling at it. A thought came to mind, a muggle phrase he had heard once, 'Happy wife, happy life' and he knew they weren't married (yet), but he couldn't help but feel as though that phrase was nothing but the truth.
He followed her around the store, listening intently as she rambled on about each book and the plotlines. He held the books she handed to him and kept track of those she lingered on but didn't pick up.
Theo was not known for his patience, or his ability to stay quite for such a long time without putting in his two cents. This was not the case with Y/N, because when he was with her he found his loud and over busy mind was calm and quite. He liked that nearly as much as he liked the girl herself.
"Are you sure this isn't too much?" She asked, as she stared at the stack of books she hadn't realized had gotten so high. Truth was that she always felt bad about spending Theos money, she never wanted him to think she was only friends with him for his money.
"If you asked I'd buy you the whole store." He said casually as he paid for the books.
She was glad he had his back to her, because if he didn't then he'd see how flustered that 'casual' comment made her. Though she imagined it wouldn't matter, nearly everything Theo said to her made her blush to some extent.
Before she could grab the bag of books herself Theodore did, he then grabbed her hand and without thinking kissed the back of it. Y/N felt as though she looked as red as a tomato right then.
He mumbled something in another language, Italian. Though she could barely hear it and even if she could hear it it's not as if she would have been able to understand.
She'd have to ask him about it later.
Soon the two found themselves walking into The Three Broomsticks. "I'll go get us a seat, you order." Y/N says, leaving no room for argument before she took the heavy bag of books out of Theos hands and going to find a booth.
Thankfully there was a empty booth towards the back, away from any prying eyes. Not that she wanted to keep this day a secret, but she had her what ifs about this day she was nearly certain was a date. What ifs that included Theo denying the day ever happened.
As she waited for the Slytherin boy to return Y/N found herself getting nervous. Pulling her out of her thoughts someone cleared their throat above her.
She turned and found one of the boys she had 'hung out' with in fifth year. It was awkward when I realized it was a date, but we kept talking and I thought I might've been able to like him. But then he ghosted me.
"Oh- Ben! Hi." She said glancing behind him to see Theodore still waiting for their drinks.
"Hey." He smirked, "Long time no see."
"Uh- yeah." She glanced back over at Theo who still had yet to notice what was happening, "What are you doing here?"
"I just saw you over and thought I'd come to say hi." He shrugged and she grew a little irritated, because this guy hadn't come to say 'hi' to her in the past two years.
"Oh well. You've said it." She said, not so subtly.
"Yes I have." He looked her up and down and it was then that she was thankful for having learned social ques, had she been in this interaction a few years ago she would think he really was telling the truth. "Listen, I think we should hang out sometime-"
"Sorry, her schedules full." Theo says from behind Ben and we both turn to him.
"Well I'm sure she can make some room-"
"Nope." Theo says, shoving past the short boy and sliding into the seat next to Y/N. He places their drinks down on the table before wrapping an arm around her, "Is that all? Or is there more we can help you with?"
"Look-"
"I really think you should leave Benjamín." Theo glares, not bothering to hide his aggravated mood.
Ben scoffs before stomping away.
Even with Ben gone Theo kept his arm around her, if she didn't know any better she'd say he actually held her tighter. Despite the mood Ben seemed to put Theo in Y/N couldn't help but be amused and let out a giggle.
His head snapped to hers, their faces closer than they've ever been, "Do you find this amusing?" He raised an unamused brow at her.
"No." She grinned, then leant forward picking up her butterbeer and taking a sip.
"Mhm." He hummed unconvinced and she kept grinning and Theo dropped the moody act, smiling and shaking his head at the pretty girl and drank his own butterbeer.
They slipped into a comfortably silence and Y/N figured now would be a good time to ask him. "So..." She started, keeping her eyes on the foam floating around her drink.
"So." Theo copied, his eyes on the side of her head.
"Are we on a date right now?" She ripped the band-aid off, turning to him and he froze. His eyes widening and his cheeks flushing slightly.
He then grinned, a wide ear to ear grin, flashing me with the deepest dimples I have ever seen. "I was wondering when you'd piece it together."
"I-what?" She spluttered and looked at him confused. She wasn't sure what she had expected his answer to be but it surely wasn't this.
"You heard me." He whispered, leaning in closer. His eyes darted from her lips to her eyes.
Y/N cleared her throat loudly and turned to face her drink once more, Theo laughed and brushed a stay piece of hair behind her ear. "I like you, Y/N." He said in a low voice that made her feel all kinds of things. "Actually, I like you a lot."
She swallowed her dry spit at his words as her face heated so much she might as well be the fucking sun. "I've liked you for a while now, a few years give or take. Personally, I thought I was kind of obvious with it." He spoke into her ear and she huffed.
Turning her head towards him once more their faces were so close their noses rubbed each other. Theo opened his mouth to say something else but she cut him off. "Theo, are you going to kiss me or not?"
He grinned before he grabbed her face and their lips met in a passionate kiss.

Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"Alright, you're all good Bob. Just take it easy on your wrist for a little while, and you should heal up just fine."
"Thanks," said Bob, giving me a smile as he hopped off my exam table. Life was never boring as Top Gun's chief medical officer, but thankfully today I hadn't had to deal with any serious injuries. Just a slightly sprained wrist from a little too much dog fight football.
"Sure thing." I headed for the door with Bob, since I didn't have anyone else waiting for medical attention. Jake Seresin, the most arrogant pilot at Top Gun (except maybe Mav), was currently up flying, and since I didn't have any pressing work to attend to I wanted to listen in on how he was doing.
"Hey!" Bradley, my older brother, waved as soon as he saw me and Bob enter the room. A few aviators were gathered around, listening to the comms between pilots still in the air. "You missed my run."
"Oh no, I'm so sad. How will I ever recover?"
Bradley just rolled his eyes at me as I sidled up next to him beside the radio. I could hear Jake's voice, strategizing with his wingman and tracking the instructor's positions. I tuned in, imagining I could see his plane as it flew across the sky.
"So you're in here listening carefully to the radio for Seresin but not your brother?"
"Shut up," I said, shoving him back much harder than necessary. I wasn't sure if he knew that he'd found some truth in terms of my feelings for Jake, but I never wanted him to know. "I heal injuries for a living, and I'm just as skilled at causing injuries."
"Don't you have some kind of oath to do no harm?"
"You're my exception."
I gave him a fake sweet smile as he narrowed his eyes at me. He opened his mouth, probably to make a bad attempt at a comeback, but he stopped short at the sounds of distress coming from the radio.
"Hangman, watch out!"
"Bird strike, bird strike!"
My heart stopped in my chest. The room went dead silent, everyone freezing and all conversation coming to a stop as we listened to the radio.
"Hangman to Tower, Hangman to Tower. I need to come in for an immediate emergency landing."
"Copy. Just stay calm, we've got the runway open for you."
"Alright. I'm coming around."
The silence stretched on, hanging over the room like a heavy blanket. I twisted my fingers, fidgeting, trying to dispel the nervous energy. He was going to be fine. He had to be.
I saw Bradley glancing at me out of the corner of my eye, but I ignored him. I kept my eyes and attention glued on the radio. I wasn't sure if I wanted the silence to end or not, but I didn't get a choice as the radio crackled to life again.
"Tower, it's no good, I'm losing speed and altitude too fast. I'm gonna have to eject."
I felt like I'd been hit by a train. Wordlessly, I reached out one hand, and Bradley quickly took it. He stood tall and strong beside me, his face clouded while my world spiraled out of control. This could not be happening.
"He's gonna be fine," Bradley muttered. I barely heard him. It sounded like we were underwater, and the room had started to spin.
Bradley and I had lost our dad this way, when the canopy to his fighter jet didn't detach the way it was supposed to. We'd both been pretty young, but I swear I remembered every awful moment of our mother coming to break the news, of Mav explaining just what had happened and how sorry he was with tears in his eyes. When Bradley had decided to follow our dad's path into becoming a pilot, my number one nightmare had been losing him the same way. Now I might be forced to live that reality with Jake instead.
The silence stretched on as Bradley and I stood, shoulder to shoulder, waiting with everyone else in the room. A moment later, I heard Mav's voice over the radio.
"Canopy looked good and I saw a chute."
Mav continued to call out his position for Jake's recovery team, but I barely heard it as relief crashed like a wave through my ears. I wouldn't be completely relieved until he walked through the door, but at least it sounded like he was going to be just fine.
"It's okay," Bradley muttered, pulling me into a quick hug and mumbling into my hair. "It's okay."
I nodded, still feeling a little shaky as I gave him a quick hug before pulling back.
"I need to get to my exam room. Even if he's perfectly healthy, he's gonna need a checkup to make sure nothing's wrong."
"Do you want me to come with you?"
I took a deep breath and let it out slowly, trying to force myself to calm down a little. I shook my head.
"That's alright. I'm okay."
Bradley didn't look totally convinced, but I managed to shake him anyway with a promise to call him if I needed him. I focused on taking deep breaths and trying to calm myself down for the walk back to my exam room. It sort of worked, although I literally paced the room waiting for Jake to be brought in. When I finally heard shuffling outside the door, I quickly crossed the room and flung it open.
"I told you, I'm fine!"
Jake stood in the hallway on his own two feet, wrestling with one of the men who'd brought him in. The guy didn't budge despite Jake's protest, but I decided to step in before things could escalate.
"Jake, get in the exam room."
His head snapped up to face me, but despite his momentary surprise, he didn't back down.
"I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told them, I'm fine. I don't need an exam-"
"You ejected from your plane. You might be walking, but that's no grantee you don't have an injury just waiting to show itself once the adrenaline fades. So come on. The less you fight it, the sooner you can leave and go do whatever it is you want to do so badly."
He fixed me with a look, but I just crossed my arms and stared right back. Finally, once he realized I wasn't going to back down, he sighed.
"Fine. But if I miss somebody shooting Maverick down, I'm gonna be pissed."
I resisted the urge to reply as Jake walked past me, and I followed him into the exam room. My brain still didn't completely believe he was sitting here, in front of me, apparently completely healthy. The adrenaline dump made my hands shake a little as I checked Jake's heartrate and went through a few more basic checks.
"Are you sure you don't feel any pain?" I asked while I worked. I'd already asked him twice before, but I wanted to keep checking in case his answer changed, especially as any potential shock wore off.
"For the third time, yes. Quit hovering already."
I stepped back, hands on my hips as I fixed Jake with a look. He seemed to be perfectly happy and relaxed in the wake of his dangerous adventure, but I was still wrestling with the thought that my worst nightmare almost came true, so I wasn't in the mood to be gentle.
"Jake, it is my job to check you out and make sure you're not injured with something that's going to come back to bite you the second you're out the door. So sit still, stop complaining, and let me do my job!"
"...Since when do you care so much?"
"Excuse me?"
"Not about your job, but... about me. You seem like you care a lot. I thought you hated me for all the shit I give your brother."
I sighed. "No. I mean, sure, sometimes it's annoying and sometimes it's a little over the line, but... no. I don't hate you, Jake."
He didn't really respond, which left me to finish my exam without resistance. Thankfully, he was perfectly healthy, not a scratch on him. Still, that didn't stop my hands from shaking as I lowered my stethoscope. I started to pull away, but Jake caught my hand and stopped me.
"Hey, you're shaking." I closed my eyes and let out a long breath. I'd done so well hiding it until now. "What's wrong?"
I opened my eyes to find Jake staring at me, his bright blue eyes full of unusual concern. I sighed.
"You know mine and Bradley's history, Jake. I lost my dad to the same thing that landed you here today. I've spent every single day since Bradley joined the navy terrified that I would lose him the same way, and then when I heard you on the radio, dropping out of the sky and being forced to eject..." I took a deep breath, steeling myself, and then looking back at Jake. "I've had feelings for you for a little while now, Seresin, but when I heard that call? I just about had a heart attack at the thought of losing you."
Jake huffed a little, disbelieving laugh, then tugged me closer to him. My heart stuttered in my chest as Jake grinned.
"I've had feelings for you for a while now, too," he said. A smile pulled its way onto my face, but a moment later, Jake's expression sobered. "Although I have to warn you, sweetheart, if we do something about those feelings... you're not gonna be any less relaxed going about your day since I'm going to be up in the air all the time."
I sighed and closed my eyes, leaning in to rest my head against Jake's forehead. He still held my hand tight, giving it a little reassuring squeeze.
"I know," I finally said. "But... I'm willing to take that risk. It's worth it to me. And it's not like I wouldn't be worried about you anyway."
Jake pulled away, the grin firmly back in place as he looked at me. "I'm glad I'm worth it to you."
Without another word, he leaned back in, this time for a kiss that I'd thought about more than once (and apparently so had he). We stayed that way for a long time, savoring the moment and each other as my hands wandered over Jake's shoulders, reassuring myself that this was real. He was okay, and now we were both better than okay.
When we finally pulled apart, Jake still had that ridiculous cocky grin on his face as he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me tighter to his chest.
"Your brother is gonna hate this," he said gleefully. I just laughed and lightly smacked his chest. He was right, my brother was going to hate this, but Bradley would just have to deal with it. Now that I had Jake, I didn't plan to let him go any time soon.

heyy! I just miss your writing ;) so i'm here to ask for drunk chishiya who suddenly comes to the reader's house at midnight and relieves his stress on her? (can be fluff or smut, you decide)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ꔫ ⸝⸝ summary: a drunk chishiya waking you up in the middle of the night, was definitely the last thing you'd guess.
ꔫ ⸝⸝ pairing: chishiya x gn!reader
ꔫ ⸝⸝ genre: fluff
⸝⸝ warnings: drunk!chishiya , lmk if anything else
ꔫ ⸝⸝ word count: 850
A/N: okay listen . . . I might've gotten a bit off track. BUT, I kind of like it?!! I also decided on fluff since he's drunk but, hey, I'm down for a pt2 if you are!!
Tumblr media
Lost in a daze of sleep, peaceful and calm as you shut your eyes and allowed yourself to fall into the void of darkness people called sleep.
That was all interrupted by the loud banging of the front door. Your first thought was to ignore it; it was in the middle of the night and you couldn't be bothered.
But it didn't just stop the first time, it happened again, and once more before you finally--and annoyingly, got up from bed to see who could be so inconsiderate.
When you opened your door, you fully expected it to be some stranger, or someone informing you of some terrible news that was so important that it couldn't wait until morning.
You definitely didn't expect it to be Chishiya.
The white haired man standing outside your door, his hair disheveled and his dark eye bags visible under the moonlight. It wasn't just out of character for him to be standing outside your door, but you could smell the stench on his clothing; he was drunk.
"Chishiya?" Your voice was soft from the past action of your interrupted sleep, rubbing your eye with the back of your hand as you tried to decipher what was in front of you.
"Can I come in?" Chishiya muttered with a broken tone, his gaze never meeting your eyes as he stood there; unsure of what to do with himself.
"Uh--i guess..." You replied, taking a step to the side as a confused look found its way onto your face. "What are you doing here?" You asked as you watched him walk past you, his unsteady balance becoming obvious with each step.
"I don't usually drink..." He whispered to himself, his palms pressing into his eyes as if he was trying to pop them back into his skull. Doing anything to get this feeling he had to go away.
"Yeah, I know. You never saw a point in it, at least--that's what you told me." You shrugged, shutting the door and locking it behind him. He won't be able to bring himself home walking around like that..
"I don't!" Chishiya's voice was far more stern when he spoke, his head turned towards you as he did so. He didn't have much time to react to himself, just standing there like some type of horror movie.
"Okay.." You nodded, trying your best to keep a soft tone. "Everything okay?" You finally asked, taking small steps towards him. You felt like you were walking on eggshells. You've never seen him drunk, hell--you don't even think he's ever been drunk. You had no idea how he'd act in this state, and you were almost afraid to find out.
"No, everything's not okay. You think I'd be drunk if they were?" His words were sharp, digging into every spot his mouth could hold.
"You're right." You nodded, stopping a foot in front of him. "What's not okay, Shuntaro?" Your words came out in a whisper this time, you wanted him to feel more comfortable. Switching his name was a way of telling him that he could be, at least you hoped that's how he'd take it.
"I don't want to be drunk anymore." He groaned, his eyes moved away from you to aim behind your body. Spotting the couch under the dim light that casted from behind the curtains.
He didn't hesitate to walk past you and towards the comfortable couch that was calling his name.
"Chi--Shuntaro." You called out for him, not doing much as he sat down but quickly changed positions to spread his body across it.
You honestly felt bad for Chishiya. It must've been really bad if he felt the need to break the promise he had on himself. You almost felt glad that he didn't like being drunk, but you were also afraid if it happened again--he'd come to enjoy it.
"How do I make it go away?" He asked, his tone had completely changed. He sounded sincere, like he truly needed an answer or he'd go more insane than he already has.
You sighed walking towards him, stopping at the head of the couch to look down on him. "Get some rest, you'll probably wake up with an undeniable urge to throw your brains out. Bathroom is down the hall." You tried to be humorous with your words, but it was obvious he wasn't having it.
"I forgot about hangovers." He mumbled, turning his head to face the head of the couch. Like a child finding comfort in the small spaces, that's the only way to describe what pushing yourself into the crevice of the couch felt like.
"Mhm, they're different for everyone. Just go to sleep, you can actually talk to me in the morning." You suggested, grabbing the throw blanket from on top of the couch to lay on top of him.
"I'm serious. You better still be here when I wake up." You whispered, his body having no response as you walked back to your room--soft breathing following the body laid in your living room.

Ominis Gaunt x reader
Summary - Request for “Imagine the reader asking if they can guide Ominous somewhere, only for when he protests that he has his wand for a reason - they admit that it was just their lame attempt to hold his hand?”
Word Count - 862
Warnings - none
You and Ominis were walking around in some fields outside of Hogsmeade. You knew how much he loved a good nap in the sun, so you were hoping to show him a new cozy spot you had discovered. You had gone out of your way to do so on a trip by yourself to find an excuse to drag him away from Sebastian to have him by yourself.
He always seemed stressed out around Sebastian and you wanted him to be able to relax distraction-free. The further you led him out of the hustle and bustle of town the more you saw tension fall from his shoulders. You could tell he was taking in the floral smells the area had to offer.
You were nearing the perfect spot beneath a tall alder tree. It had branches that fanned out to make a canopy to provide just the right amount of shade with the sun peaking through to add warmth in a few spots. The terrain was a little less groomed and a little lumpier with plants and rocks all around.
You thought it would be a reasonable enough opportunity to be close with Ominis under the guise of helping him be careful. What you forgot in your lovesick daze was how staunchly independent he preferred to be. The two of you walked close enough to be able to feel the warmth radiating from each other, so before you had the chance to overthink it you reached down and grasped his palm, pulling him even closer.
He tensed almost immediately and you spoke up to recover control over the situation, "Sorry, I just want to make sure you're mindful walking through here. I know we aren't usually so far from the gates and the ground is pretty uneven through here. I found out the hard way," you finished sheepishly.
You scanned his face for his reaction and felt your face heat up when he huffed, looking annoyed at you. He briskly tore his hand from yours and put it back at his side.
"Y/N, I have my wand. You know I've never been as uncoordinated as you. I'm quite good at getting around by myself after 18 years of it." You could hear the displeasure in his voice that you had just assumed he would need your assistance.
You put your hands in front of yourself, nervously fidgeting and trying to hide your disappointment. "Oh." Your voice betrays you with a hint of sadness peeking through. This causes him to give you strange look as you continue. "I know that Ominis. I just...I just thought I'd offer."
The soft tone in your voice threw him off. It sounded like somehow he had hurt your feelings and that confused him. He stopped in his tracks and forced you to follow suit. He turned to face you with crossed arms.
"What is it? What's wrong? I'm not sure how my being insulted is making you upset." His stare was intense as he waited for an answer for you.
You drug the toes of your shoe through the dirt, looking at the ground. "I — I just wanted to hold your hand," you mumbled the words making it impossible for him to hear you.
He took a slight step forward and tilted his ear towards you, "What? Why are you being so quiet?"
You covered your face as you felt it burning, happy that at least he couldn't see it. "I wanted to hold your hand! I like being close to you," the words came out a little louder than you intended. When you managed to look up at him you saw a pink tint on his own cheeks as the realization dawned on him.
"Ah. I didn't realize. Well, here," he held his hand out to you, unintentionally bumping your abdomen in the process. He had been flustered enough by your words to forget your proximity, prompting him to stutter out an apology.
You raised your eyebrows at him. You decided to take hold of his hand before he changed his mind. His hand was warm and inviting now as his fingers wove their way through yours, curling over your hand.
"Is this what you wanted?" his voice was softer now and he sounded a little unsure of himself. Your face lit up and you smiled brightly at him.
Feeling emboldened you leaned forward to press a quick peck on his cheek. It was so fast that he may have expected it was just a butterfly or something flying across his face if he wasn't so sensitive to touch, especially yours.
"Yes, Ominis," you replied to him. "When we get to this stellar napping spot maybe we can hold more than hands?"
A shy smile broke out across his face and he gave you a nod. He tugged on your arm, "Well come on, lead the way then. If we must hold hands then you should at least be a useful guide." He tucked his wand into his robes as you started walking once more.
"I would hate to have to tell everyone how you maliciously took me to such an unfamiliar area without my wand."

Hi!!! I really like your writing!! but I'd like to give you an unwanted suggestion 👉👈 (you can take ot or leave it, I understand of course) Reading the fics gets really tiring when the paragraphs are so long, maybe you should break them down a little so it's easier to understand! Also I've seen it's more common to write in third person, reading in first person feels a little weird. Maybe you like things that way and it's totally okay, but I think trying these might help a little so more people read your stuff. I send u a big hug! Please keep writing! 💖
Jasmine Tea
YUJI X READER! FLUFF! (PLEASE SEND REQUESTS 😭) Also my bad for writing first person. I’ll try third person and making my paragraphs shorter, old habits make it tuff 🥲
“Come on (Y/N), just confess to him!” Nobara sighed as she pushed me towards Yuji’s door. “B-But I was set up. You and Panda played me during truth or date…” you said as you tried to fight back, but it was no use. “What are you talking about? It was a… fair game,” Nobara hesitated. “You just hesitated before saying fair,” you pointed out. “Well we’re already here, so… good luck!” She said as she knocked on the door and ran away. “Wait! Take me with y-“
“(Y/N)?” You heard as the door opened. “O-Oh… hey Yuji. H-How are you?” You stuttered. “Good and you? And was Nobara just here, I swear I just heard her,” he said as he looked down the hallway. “No, just me! Just wanted to say hi!” You said, and tried to walk away, but saw Nobara and Panda peek down the hallway, with a mischievous expression. Oh, right… the punishment game.
“Uh Yuji… are you free?” You asked. “Free?” He asked. “Y-Yeah… there’s a new ramen shop I wanted to try,” You said nervously. “Ramen, that does sound pretty good right now! Let me grab my coat,” he said before rushing in and quickly running back out with a jacket on. You looked over towards Nobara and Panda, both of them gave me a thumbs up before going back into hiding. Both of you then headed off campus and towards town.
While in the metro, you noticed it was pretty packed so you both had to stand. “(Y/N) have you checked out the menu? It looks so good,” he grinned. You nodded, “Yeah, I heard they have a super spicy broth, and I’m really excited about it,” you replied. “That does sound good, maybe I’ll get a side of gyoza too. It's been a while,” he pointed out. “Ooh, gyoza sounds great. You know what else I haven’t had in a whi-“ You were cut off, due to the metro stopping all of a sudden.
You braced yourself for impact, but instead landed on a firm yet soft surface… “Are you ok?” Yuji asked. You widened my eyes, and looked up to see that he had caught me. “I’m f-fine,” you blushed. “Good,” he smiled, but instead of loosening his grip, he still kept his arm wrapped around your lower back. “It’d be better if you hold onto me. I’ll make sure you don’t fall,” he said. You slowly nodded and held onto him as the metro continued on track to our destination.
The metro soon arrived at your destination and you and Yuji quickly got off and headed towards the new ramen place. After quickly being seated down at a table, as you sat across from each other and began looking through the menu.
“I might get a hot tea, I’d hate to mix something cold with something super hot and then get sick later,” you explained. “Alright, sounds good. How about some jasmine tea?” He asked. “Sure,” you nodded. After ordering and a few more minutes of chatting the waiter returned with the pot of tea. “Here you go-OH!” The waiter yelled as he slipped. He accidentally dropped the kettle on the table, causing it to shatter at impact. You covered my face, but felt the hot liquid hit my arms. “Ow!” You yelled. “(Y/N)!” Yuji said worriedly and rushed over. “Are you hurt? Y-You got burned!” He said, and grabbed your hand and dragged you to the restroom.
He ran into the women’s bathroom and rushed me over to the sink. He quickly splashed cold water on my arms. “Y-Yuji…” you said softly, as you watched him continue to splash cold water on your burn. “I’m sorry, I should’ve caught it. Now you got burnt,” he said softly. You stayed quiet, and stood there as he continued to mend you. The manager and the waiter apologized profusely, and even gave you a 50% coupon for a whole year. Yuji still wasn’t too happy, but honestly you just wanted to go home. Plus, the manager gave you a big container of gyoza to take home.
The ride back home was silent, even on the metro. “Yuji… are you ok?” You asked as you just arrived at the campus stairs. “I’m fine, I just…” he trailed off. “Sorry about tonight. It’s my fault we couldn’t try the super spicy broth after all,” you joked, hoping it would lighten the mood. “Maybe next time, but… I didn’t like seeing you get hurt. I don’t know why, cause we’ve been on missions before. But this time was different, I got so mad I wanted to punch that guy,” he sighed as he scratched his head. “Well… I sometimes get like that too,” you blushed. “You do?” He asked, looking to face me. You nodded, “When we’re on assignments or when you come back from one and you’re all beaten up, or injured my whole heart feels like it was smashed.” You answered. “That’s how mine felt!” He said. “Then maybe…” you blushed. “Maybe what?” He asked. “C-Can I check something?” You asked nervously. “Sure,” he said. “C-Can you close your eyes real quick?” You asked, hoping he won’t notice how nervous you’re acting. “Uhh… ok,” he shrugged and shut his eyes.
You slowly walked up to him and stared at him for a second. Before you slowly lifted yourself with your tippy toes, and held onto his shoulders for balance. “(Y-“ you cut him off, with a gentle and soft kiss. You immediately felt him tense up, and quickly pulled away. “I’m sorry! I thought- I just-“ but was interrupted as you were suddenly pulled into another, more passionate kiss.
This time you tensed up, but slowly you allowed your body to relax into the kiss. After a few more seconds you finally pulled away, trying to catch your breath. You stared at Yuji’s light pink tinted cheeks. “S-So you like me too?” You asked, feeling excited. “I’ve always liked you (Y/N)… but I guess I didn’t realize that I liked you more than a friend,” he laughed, nervously. “I’ve always liked you too, and I’m glad we hung out today,” you smiled. “Yeah, me too. So, is that reason why you invited me out today? You were planning to confess?” He asked, as he wrapped his arm around you. “Something like that,” you answered.

au where finnegrin's bluffing
"No, no wait!"
The words rush out of him like water, quick and anguished, mind racing. He read the spell just once, not wanting to pay any more mind to what had been used to avenge his mother, but it'd still been burned into his brain.
"A dying breath!" he bursts, chest threatening to cave in. If Finnegrin would just turn around then—"Blood filled with hatred, and a-a unicorn horn."
Guilt and relief wage war as the captain turns to face him; the bruises on his face, the ache from the electrocution seem to hurt twice as much. Withstanding all that harm and for what? For—for Rayla, though she'd loathe it. But he can't—he can't—
Callum can't meet the pirate's eye as he swallows, admitting, "That's the dark magic you want. Just..." His chest is so tight it's hard to breathe. He manages to raise his head. It'll be worth it if Finnegrin will just—"Just let her go." His voice creaks, cracks. He's begging and they both know it.
The captain pauses, then ponders, and then grins. Then he starts to laugh, hearty and cruel.
Callum glares at him, trying to put the pieces together. He pulls at his chains. He doesn't understand, but—"What are you waiting for?" he demands. He wants to punch the man all over again, to beat him senseless and—"Tell them to let her go!"
Finnegrin wipes a tear of mirth from his eyes and then bends down, grinning. "Oh, m'boy. So gullible. Your precious elf girl was never really in any true danger."
Staring, Callum keeps struggling, but less so. The snake rattle slips down from his sleeve and into his palm for reasons he can't (or doesn't want to) explain. "What are you talking about?"
"Well, do you see her tied up?"
"No, but—"
"Can you hear her screaming?"
His ears strain. One of Finnegrin's windows is cracked open just enough to hear the constant knocking of the waves. He still wants to punch that smug sneer from just the thought of Rayla screaming off Finnegrin's stupid face. "Well no, but—"
Finnegrin sets down Bait's cage. "You were so composed overall, you know—barely even screamed. Then you saw her in pain, and well, we've discussed your little display already haven't we? Unchained and you could've taken me down easily with a spell, but no. Just nothing but pure, raw, emotion." He hefts an overdramatic sigh. "Young love, I suppose. You didn't seem to think when it came to her, and I wanted to test if that was true. If you'd give me what I wanted after all." Finnegrin adjusts his cuffs, his smirk growing. "Thought I'd try a pirate's bluff. Worked out quite nicely, wouldn't you say?"
Callum's mind is still racing, heart beating loudly in his ears as his feelings try to catch up to his mind. "Wait, so she's—"
"Safely in the brig with the rest of your little friends. For now. But if you disrespect me again, boy, we'll see just how far I have to press that on weakness to get you to cooperate. I expect you'll have an idea or two of how to track down a unicorn, won't you, once we get back to Scumport?"
Callum glowers at him, eyes burning as Finnegrin whistles while he leaves, the door thudding shut behind him.
The mage runs his thumb over the groove in the snake's rattle tail, debating.
How does he know doing dark magic a second time won't unleash Aaravos? How does he know he could make it to the others, find the others, even if he did free himself? How would they get off the ship with a storm rolling in, rain and wind lashing at the windows? A bit of water seeps onto the floor.
Callum tucks the rattle back into his sleeve.
For later, once he has the answer to his questions—because he will not let Finnegrin hurt Rayla just to get to him.
Not again.

When You Wish Upon a Star-Idia Shroud x Fem! Reader (TwstOber 2023)
Tumblr media
Day 1 of the TwstOber2023 challenge by @raven-at-the-writing-desk. Note: I only know some stuff about Idia, so bear with me on this!
Warnings: Wish Upon a Star event spoilers!
Word Count: 1,067 words.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Y/N) looked up at the evening sky above. Thousands upon thousands of stars twinkled brightly in the inky darkness of the night sky. You had seen stars in the night sky back in your world, but in the world of Twisted Wonderland, the stars in your world's sky paled in comparison the stars in that world's sky.
Tonight was the night that the stars that everyone at NRC wished upon were sent straight towards the heavens. As you watched Idia pound his drum in his Stargazer outfit and Deuce and Trey wave their wands, the crystal stars floated from the tree they were on and surrounded Ortho.
Then, Ortho started to float upwards towards the sky. Before long, he started to rocket towards the sky, the crystal stars trailed behind him, swirling around and around until he was just a speck in the sky. Once Ortho reached the exosphere, that was when he released the stars.
You watched in sheer awe as the crystal stars started to rain down across the heavens. "So beautiful..." you whispered, captivated by the beauty of the stars.
Once the Star Sending ceremony was over, you went over towards Idia who was walking down the hill. "Idia-senpai!" you yelled, making him stop in his tracks. Idia froze, his muscles going tense. "Uh, oh. The prefect's here." he thought, starting to sweat bullets.
What should he say to you? What should he do? What if he makes you feel awkward with his weird talk?
"Uh, (Y/N)-shi..." he started to say before you wrapped him in a huge hug, earning a high-pitched squeak from him. "That was awesome. I've never seen such a beautiful display before!" you gushed happily. "And you performed it marvelously!"
Idia swallowed as his cheeks turned pink along with the tips of his flaming hair. "Eeek! She's so close!" his mind screamed. He tried to speak, but his vocal cords were frozen. It took him quite a while to find his voice. "(Y-Y-Y-Y/N)-shi...Y-Y-Y-Y-You're...!" he stammered.
"I really had a wonderful time watching the whole thing." you said, letting him go. "Well, I'd better head back. Grim's been bugging me about making him a tuna fish casserole. See you tomorrow!" you said as you left.
"Ah, (Y-Y-Y/N)-shi! Wait...!" Idia cried out, trying to get your attention, but you didn't hear him. You were already too far. Idia sighed. He missed it. He missed his chance to tell you how he felt about you.
"Hah. I should have known. There's no way that (Y/N)-shi would ever look my way. In her eyes, I'm just a total freak." he mumbled sadly to himself as he headed towards his room in Ignihyde. He sat down in his chair and buried his face into his hands.
"Nii-san, what's wrong?" a robotic voice piped up. Idia looked up and saw his younger robot brother Ortho hovering beside him. Idia let out a tired sigh. "It's (Y/N)-shi. I missed my chance to tell her how I feel." he said.
"She probably hates me... Who am I kidding? It's obvious she doesn't like me." Idia then clawed at his blue fiery hair and groaned in frustration. "Auuuugggghhhh! Why does it have to be so hard to tell someone how much you like them?! If this were an otome game, it'd be easier to tell someone your true feelings!"
He then collapsed onto the floor. "I'm done. It's over." he whined. Ortho sighed. "Nii-san, get a grip on yourself. (Y/N) (L/N)-san doesn't hate you at all. In fact, she made a wish concerning how she felt towards you."
Idia sat up and looked at Ortho's optic lenses. "Really?" he asked. "Yep. Let me show you." Ortho said as a holographic screen appeared before Idia.
As Idia watched, he saw your face appear on the screen. "What do you wish for, (Y/N) (L/N)-san?" Ortho asked. (Y/N) thought for a second before a beautiful smile appeared on your face as you looked at the dull crystal star in your hands.
"I wish..." you started to say. "I wish for Idia-senpai to have more confidence in himself and the things he does."
After you made your wish, the star in your hands glowed. "Why would you wish for that?" Trey asked. "Well, it's because Idia-senpai is sometimes insecure about himself and the things he does. It's not his fault he's a total introvert." you started to explain.
"He constantly looks down upon himself and loses confidence. I don't know what his past was like, but I want him to know that he can do anything. I have no doubt whatsoever that he can achieve anything if he has the courage to pursue his dreams."
Idia stared at the screen, not believing what he was hearing. Is that what you really thought of him? "Plus, I happen to like Idia-senpai." you continued to say.
Idia froze. What?! You...like him?! "He's smart, he's brilliant, he's quirky, and that's fine. I happen to like quirky people. They're super cool. Not to mention that's he's got the cutest smile." Idia felt his heart beating wildly as his cheeks turned pink and his blue hair turned a flaming red.
His mind was going a thousand miles per second. "She likes me?! She likes me?! She likes me?! She likes me?! She actually likes me?! She thinks my smile is cute?!" He honestly didn't know what to think. Finally, his overworked brain shut down and his head felt light. Before Idia knew it, he keeled over and blacked out.
"Nii-san? NII-SAN! Get a hold of yourself! Nii-san!" Ortho yelled, quickly patting Idia's cheek. But Idia didn't respond. He was still out cold. "Jeez...!" Ortho sighed as he went into the bathroom and filled a glass full of ice-cold water.
He then returned to Idia's side and poured the cold water over Idia's face, promptly waking him up. Idia sputtered as he wiped the water from his face. "You okay, Nii-san?" Ortho asked.
"Does (Y/N)-shi like me? Does she really?!" Idia asked desperately, grabbing Ortho's shoulders and staring at him. "It's true, nii-san. (Y/N) (L/N)-san truly does like you." Ortho replied. Idia's cheeks turned pink again and his hair turned red.
"She likes me! She actually does like me!" Idia thought, his heart feeling light and joyful. Tomorrow, he's going to be honest with you and tell you his true feelings just like how you were true with yours.

Hi K, I saw your list of new prompts and thought I'd send you this one (looking at your crush or lover only to find them already looking at you and when you make eye contact, they smile at you) for Arthur. I can envision the lovesick smile on his face as he watches you doing something you enjoy and you catch him. If you feel inspired, I'd love to read a blurb about this!
Thanks for sending this in, Lee! 🥰 I’m sorry it took me so long to answer — I thought of this fluffy idea in between figuring out my latest Tommy request. I hope you enjoy! :)
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!
When I Grow Up…
Arthur Shelby
Tumblr media
Warnings: none
A creative writing prompt and some needed grading sparks a warm-hearted conversation between Arthur and (Y/N)…but not after his smile and answer to a question just about make her forget where she is.
(Y/N) giggled yet again as she read through another one of her students’ writings. She placed the paper down on the coffee table that she’d set up her grading station at and began to write her thoughts on the child’s work. Satisfied with her comments, she placed the paper on the ‘graded’ pile before grabbing another. This one was just as adorable as the last and she couldn’t help but giggle again.
Arthur was sitting in the armchair positioned directly across from where (Y/N) was set up at the coffee table. He was - supposed to be - working on a report that detailed the earnings of the Eden Club (as requested by Tommy), but he couldn’t quite concentrate with the sounds that were filling the room. (Y/N)’s giggles were like music to his ears, so it didn’t surprise him when he found himself watching her, waiting for her to laugh again. The corners of his lips tugged upwards when he heard her, her laughter leaving a permanent smile etched into his features.
(Y/N) continued to read the story that this child had written, giggling at parts and smiling like an idiot throughout its entirety. At one point, she heard Arthur let out a chuckle, which made her look up to see that he was already looking at her. She couldn’t help but feel bashful under his gaze, and she wondered how long he’d been watching her for. Arthur just smiled at her, knowing exactly what was going through her mind at the moment. Her bashfulness made her even more adorable to him.
“How long have you been watching me?” she decided to ask him, her brows furrowing together as she spoke.
“For some time now,” his answer was vague, and if he was being honest, he’d lost track of time. “What is it that you’re reading?” he asked a question of his own.
“The kids’ papers…from school,” she began to explain, glancing down at the stack again, “they had a writing assignment to complete; to tell me what they wanted to be when they grow up.”
“Ahh…” Arthur nodded in understanding, “I take it there’ve been some interesting answers?” he quirked an eyebrow then.
“Most certainly,” (Y/N) answered, laughing slightly as she thought back to some of the answers she’d just finished reading, “a whole bunch of cupcake tasters and princesses and coppers,” she then rattled off some of the responses.
“Sounds like they’ve got some adventurous ideas,” he commented on the career choices with a fond smile, thinking back to when he was younger; wondering how he would have responded to such a question. He’d always loved art and, when he was in school, the projects they’d be tasked to create were his favorite part. Maybe he would have been a painter had things turned out differently.
“What do you want to be when you grow up, Arthur?” (Y/N) asked all of a sudden, pulling him from his thoughts so that he could focus on her again. She was smiling at him as she waited intently for his answer.
“When I grow up…” he paused, looking off to the side as he tapped his chin, showing that he was thinking of his response, “when I grow up, I want to be your husband,” he looked back to her as he responded, the widest grin forming on his face as a look of surprise filled her features.
(Y/N) didn’t know what to say. They’d only been seeing each other for a handful of months now, and marriage had never been talked about. She always assumed that it was the last thing on his mind; espeically with everything else he had to deal with on a daily basis…obviously she was wrong. The butterflies moved in the second the shock wore off, and she couldn’t stop the wide smile from forming on her face, one that was wider than the smiles produced by the children’s writings.
“You’re serious?” she questioned him as she slowly stood up from the floor, taking the few steps over to the chair he was sitting in.
“Bout as serious as I can be,” he responded with a grin, dropping his pen and sitting back in the chair as she stopped in front of him. “What would my grade be?” he teasingly questioned her then, allowing her to sit on his lap.
She tucked her face into his neck as she giggled at his question, hoping that he’d let her hide for a few moments as she tried to collect herself. He squeezed her kneecap after a few moments had passed, making her lift her head again.
“Was it really that bad of a response?” he questioned while feigning shock.
“No, it wasn’t bad…” she finally answered once she was composed enough to do so, “you just…you need to add a little bit more detail into your response,” she gave a critique to his initial response.
“Well in that case…” he trailed off, clearing his throat before he grinned at her, “when I grow up, I want to be your husband because I feel that I possess the right qualities to do so. I’ll keep you safe, I’ll make you laugh, I’ll never miss a date. Nothing makes me as happy as when I spend time with you, and no one makes me feel as good as you do, especially when you do that thing when you…”
“Ok stop! That’s just too many details now, and you’ve reached the word limit,” she giggled, stopping him before he could continue with the more suggestive part of his response.
“How’s my grade looking now?” he questioned, his one eyebrow raised as a grin teetered on his lips.
“Good…it’s looking good,” she responded with a smile, “and you may just be able to be that when you grow up…if you play your cards right.”
“Well it’s a good thing I’m a gambling man then, isn’t it?” he cracked a grin, making (Y/N) laugh before she leaned down and pressed her lips to his.
Both smiled against each others’ lips as they continued the kiss, and Arthur knew then and there that he wouldn’t have to wonder what it was going to be when he grew up…he was pretty sure that the kiss had sealed his fate: he most certainly got the job.

Road to recovery- part 8

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part of me was hoping that the hate would slow down a bit but of course it didn't. Every time I checked any form of social media all I saw was people posting about how much they didn't like me and assuming that I'm only friends with Pablo to gain something. I thought I'd be able to handle the comments but I just can't there has been so many more than I thought there would be and people have said such hurtful things about my appearance and my character. Pablo keeps apologising and asking if I'm ok and I just keep telling him I'm fine which is a bit of a lie but I can tell he already feels bad enough I don't want to make him feel worse by telling him how I really feel. The worst part about it is that everyone seems to be drawing attention to the things I was already insecure about which hasn't helped my mental state at all.
Today though I have a chance to cheer myself up a bit as I have a big check up with my doctor to see how my recovery is progressing. I think it's going pretty good so hopefully he agrees and says something positive as that would really lift my spirits. I've been nervous about the appointment today as well which has really made the last few days even more challenging on my mental health but I'm trying to stay positive as I know wallowing in sadness and anxiety won't do me any good.
Alonso came to pick me up a bit before my appointment; when I got in the car I expected him to tease me about everything that happened with the game this weekend but he didn't instead he asked if I was ok. I was going to lie to him too but because he's my brother he knows exactly when I'm lying so I had to tell him the truth. It was kind of nice to get all of my feelings off my chest and Alonso was really supportive and gave me some good advice. He's been through things like this before with getting hate for his performances out on track so he told me to just delete the apps off my phone for a bit that way I'm not tempted to look at what people are saying. In fact he stole my phone and did it for me as I think he knew I probably wouldn't do it myself.
Once I had my phone back I went into the hospital on my own leaving Alonso to wait in the car for me. The wait for my appointment wasn't long at all and then I went in and was immediately taken for some new scans to see how everything was healing. After scans I was subjected to a load of tests on my range of movement, how much weight I could put on my leg and how much pain I was in. The testing was rigorous and honestly quite exhausting as it's been a long time since I've done this much movement with my knee but for the most part it felt good. After I had done everything the doctor left for a while to review it all and look at my scans which left me just staring at the wall hoping to hear good news. Just as I was daydreaming the door opened again and the doctor came back in, his expression was impossible to read which for some reason filled me with a few more nerves.
"Ok Lola things aren't progressing as we would like them too internally you aren't healing as quick as we thought you would and your movement isn't at the range we would expect it to be" he said
"What does that mean?" I asked holding back tears
"For now it doesn't mean too much this can happen as we can't always accurately predict how quickly people will recover but we will set another one of these appointments in a few weeks and if we aren't seeing improvement you may need a second surgery so that we can see what's going on" the doctor explained
"Ok" was all I could manage to say
"I know this isn't what you wanted to hear but don't let it discourage you if you keep working hard you won't need the surgery" he said
We scheduled my next appointment and that was as long as I could hold it together. All of my emotions that I'd been holding onto for the last few days came out all at once, as soon as I left the hospital doors I burst into tears and I couldn't do anything to stop them. I made my way back to where Alonso parked but before I could get into the car Alonso had got out and wrapped me in his arms. He tried to get me to stop crying and tell him what was wrong but I just couldn't he tried everything to help me all of which had worked before but today nothing could stop me. Eventually he gave up and let me get in the car so we could go home because right now all I want is to just go home and get to grips with my emotions as I clearly have a lot to process.
As much as my eyes were filled with tears I could tell that Alonso didn't take the turn to take me back to my place which meant he was going to take me somewhere in hopes of cheering me up. I really didn't want to go wherever it was he was planning to go but I was sobbing too much to tell him to take me home. We went a bit further before the car stopped and I looked round a bit as at first I didn't recognise where we were but then I saw Pablo's house and realised we were just down the street. I should've known Alonso was going to bring me here but this is the last place I want to be I don't want Pablo to see me like this. I knew we said we would help each other out but I know for a fact Pablo is doing better and I know he's in a better place mentally and I don't want to ruin that by projecting my problems onto him that wouldn't be fair.
Alonso had to practically drag me out of the car and down the road which was rather easy for him as I'm not strong enough to put up too much of a fight. We walked down the street to Pablo's house where Alonso left me to ring the doorbell, part of me was hoping that he wouldn't be in even though he said he had no plans today. Of course after just a few seconds the door opened and I locked eyes with Pablo who straight away rushed over as quick as he could and wrapped me up in his arms. I wanted to stop crying but for some reason I only cried more once I was in Pablo's arms it was like he made me feel safe enough to truly let all of my feelings out. Pablo said a few words to my brother before taking me inside and allowing him to leave.
Pablo took me to the sofa and allowed me to settle into his embrace with my head buried in his chest so he couldn't see my tear stained and probably red and puffy face. His hand was gently stroking my back trying to calm me down while he whispered comforting words in my ears. It wasn't anything special what he was doing but hearing his words and feeling his hands on me did wonders in helping calm my emotions which I didn't have any control over. As my tears began to slow down Pablo kept rubbing my back and he even wiped some of the tears from my face that he could reach as I was still hiding most of my face. I never would've thought he would be so good at comforting me I mean he's always so hyper and full of energy I never imagined that he'd be any good at keeping calm and radiating that onto others but clearly he is. Once I had completely stopped crying and my breathing was getting back to normal Pablo put a hand under my chin and got me to look at him.
"Can you tell me what's wrong I hate seeing you so upset and I want to help" he said
"The doctor said my knee isn't healing properly and I might need another surgery if things don't get better" I said still sniffling slightly
"I'm sorry that sounds awful but that's not the only thing on your mind is it" he probed further
"No that's it" I lied
"Don't lie to me please just tell me what's wrong I'll do whatever I can to help and I won't judge you you know that" he said
Damn why doesn't he have to be able to read me like a book.
"Ok I've been getting a lot of hate since we were seen together at the game and it's been getting to me a bit I thought I could handle it as I'm used to criticism but I can't some people are just so mean" I admitted letting a few more tears fall
"I knew it was getting to you people on social media are assholes because they don't feel the consequences of what they say but none of what they say is true" he said
"But they keep talking about how I must be using you or how I don't deserve to even be friends with you which that part is kind of true" I rambled
"No it's not true I can't even imagine what my life would be like without you I love spending time with you just because you aren't famous doesn't mean you don't deserve to be friends with me and despite what they say I know you aren't using me I know you would never do that" he said
"And before you say anything all of the things they say about your appearance aren't true either you are beautiful inside and out and they are just jealous" he added
Hearing him say that put a smile on my face. Pablo has never really complimented me before he's told me my outfit was cool a few times but he's never called me beautiful so hearing it made me feel a lot better about myself. He must've noticed that I was finally smiling again as he told me I looked pretty when I smiled which only made my cheeks heat up but luckily my face was already red from crying so Pablo probably wouldn't have noticed. Although I kind of wish he knew how he made me feel because as time goes on it's getting harder and harder to hide my true feelings from him.
Pablo's POV
The pain in her eyes just shattered my heart. She's been my rock throughout every step of the way so far so to see her breakdown right in front of me really hurt. This whole time she's been the strong one never letting anything get to her but finally it's caught up with her and part of it's my fault because we got seen together at the game and now people are tearing her apart and one person can only handle so much. I feel so awful that I'm part of the reason she's so upset but knowing that I can be there for her and calm her down makes me feel a bit better. When she arrived she was hysterical and her brother told me he couldn't get a word out of her so he wanted me to try so that's what I did. I'm not very good at keeping myself calm at times let alone other people but I tried my best and after a while of just rubbing her back and whispering to her she calmed down. It felt good to be the one to help her because she's done so much for me that anything I can do to even remotely repay that I'll do in a heartbeat.
Hearing the way she criticised herself as well it pained me. She's the most beautiful and kind person I've ever met so to hear her say that she thought she didn't deserve to be friends with me hurt but what hurt more was to see that those horrible people got to her and made her feel insecure in herself. Throughout the time we've known each other I've always wanted to tell her just how beautiful she is but I've refrained as I know once I open the flood gates there's no going back. Once I start complimenting her I'm scared that I'll let my feelings show but today she needed it so I knew I had to take the risk. Seeing the smile that my compliments gave her made the risk feel worth it though as I'd do anything to keep her smiling 24/7.
Looking into her eyes as she smiled and blushed at my words made me feel some type of way. I've felt something for her since we first met and I've kept those feelings repressed until now but I don't know if I can do it any longer. She's just the most perfect girl I've ever met and I don't want to lose her whether that be to another guy or to the fear of what us being friends might mean for her. I have to tell her how I feel in hopes that as long as she feels the same way it gives her a reason to stick around even when things are tough like they are right now. As scary as it is I have to take the risk.
