a/n. . . i was on the plane and thought of this so wrote it down in my notes app and im now writing it while waiting on my second plane and this song has been stuck in my head for weeks now. also i didn’t proof read this because i was rushing to get on my flight but i wanted to post it now

𝜗𝜚 ALWAYS HAS TO BE CUDDLING YOU WHILE SLEEPING, NO MATTER WHAT.

you finish your small skincare routine and put on your pyjamas before climbing into matt’s cozy bed, snuggling into the covers as you get tucked up under them.

matt follows right behind you, climbing into the warm bed. he immediately pulls you flush against him, wrapping his strong arms around your waist with his chest to your back.

you let out a content sigh as you feel his body relax into yours, you place your hands over his hand that is draped over your exposed stomach.

he nuzzles his head into your neck and lets out an equally content sound, his breath warm against your skin. his arms wrap even tighter around you, pulling you impossibly closer to him.

“you just gotta be cuddling me, don’t ya?” you giggle out as you close your eyes, trying to fall into a deep sleep.

matt chuckles lightly against your shoulder, his breath sending a shiver down your spine. he pulls you even closer to him, his warm chest pressing firmly against your back.

“mhm you know it” he whispers out, leaving a kiss on your neck.

you had been talking matt’s ear off for the past hour about someone in your college — you didn’t even think about how bored matt must be, listening to you talking about the same topic for over an hour.

“then she said to me-“ you stop yourself as you check the time and realise how much you had spoke, you looked up at matt and saw he still had the same smile of adoration sitting on his face as he did an hour ago, “did i ramble on again…sorry” you awkwardly say, scratching the back of your neck.

matt chuckled softly at your comment, his eyes sparkling with love as he looked at you. he took your hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze, his thumb rubbing circles against the back of your hand.

“don’t be sorry” he said with a warm smile, “i could listen to you talk for hours.”

a huge smile came onto your face at matt’s sweet compliment but insecurity quickly taking over you, “you sure… you sure i’m not talking your ears off? i know i yap on and on all the time… but you’re sure?” you ask with a hint of insecurity in your voice.

matt’s heart softened at the hint of insecurity in your voice. he gently pulled you closer, wrapping his arm around your waist as you laid on his shoulder in a comforting embrace.

“i’m absolutely sure.” he reassured you, his voice firm yet tender. “i love hearing about your day, about things you love, about anything and everything. it’s a part of who you are, and i love every bit of it.” he gave you a gentle squeeze before leaning forward to look into your eyes with complete sincerity.

𝜗𝜚 ALWAYS SURPRISES YOU WITH FLOWERS

he knows they’re your favourite and always makes sure to pick out the prettiest bunch. he gives you them before dates too, just so he can admire the way your face lights up when he gives you them.

at the moment, matt was out with nick and chris at a meeting. you were bored so you texted him just to see what he was up too.

| hey baby! where are youuuu? also see if you pass gas station on your way home could you pleaseee get me a blue slurpee????

you pressed send and waited for a reply. you weren’t expecting a reply straight away since he was at a meeting.

matt sees his phone light up with a text notification — once he saw it was from you, a smile lit up his face. the meeting he was just in was boring, your simple check-up made him feel better.

| heyyy we’re just leaving, don’t worry i’ll get you aslurpee. see you soon, i love you

matt sets his phone down in the cup holder after hitting send on his text. his attention goes back to the road as he turns in at 7-eleven to get you a slurpee and flowers.

he walks into the gas station and picks up a bunch of baby breaths and tulips for you, he then gets your blue slurpee, before he leaves he grabs a few bags of your favourite candies and paying, walking out the store and back to his car.

he hands the flowers over to chris and the bags of candies, sitting the slushie in the cup holder before driving off back home. he’s excited to get home and see the look on your face when he gives you the flowers.

he walks inside his bedroom, shutting the door with his foot as he has flowers and candy in one hand and the slurpee in the other, “hey baby, i’m back” he says walking to the desk and putting all the things he bought at the store down.

“oh my god… hey, you’re back” you say, putting down your phone and getting off his bed as you walk into his open arms.

he wraps his arms around you, pulling you close. he can’t help but bury his face against your neck, leaving light kisses there.

you felt shivers down your spine as he left kisses on your skin, “how was your meeting?” you asked.

“boring” he mumbled against your neck, still peppering light kisses there, “i missed you” he added quietly, nuzzling closer.

you let out a small giggle but your heart swelled at his comment, “matt, baby, you saw me before you left this morning” you said pulling back from him.

“i know… also i got you a present.” he said walking back over to the desk and picking up the flowers and your slurpee.

your eyes light up as you see the bunch of flowers in his hand and the blue slushy, “matt..they’re beautiful. thank you so much, i love you” you say as he holds the flowers out for you with a smile.

you take hold of the flowers, you admire them with the cheesiest smile on your face.

matt loved buying you flowers, it was his favourite thing to do.

𝜗𝜚 ALWAYS TAKING PHOTOS OF YOU WHEN YOURE NOT LOOKING BECAUSE HE THINKS YOU LOOK SO CUTE

you and matt are sat on the sofa, a little space between you two. you were sitting with your knees up as your phone leaned against your thighs, your hoodie pulled up to your chin. you were scrolling on pinterest and adding photos to your boards, you were in your own little world until you heard matt let out a giggle.

you looked over at him as he looked over at you before talking, “look at this cute picture i took of you when you weren’t looking! it’s so cute, you’re adorable” matt gushed with a smile over his face as he turns his phone towards you to show you the photo.

you squint your eyes slightly to get a better look at the photo but when you get a full view of it, your face turns to a deadpan expression. you don’t see the cuteness matt was talking about, all you saw were flaws.

your messy hair, the unflattering angle, your glasses sitting lob sided on your nose, your bare face with no makeup, and the big pimple on your forehead.

“dude. be so for real, that photo is fucking horrible” you say leaning back to your original position but still looking at matt as he turns his phone back round and admiring the photo.

he playfully kicks your leg with his foot as he giggles, “hey! i thought you looked really cute in this picture, why’re you so negative?” he tilted his head, a curious look in his eyes.

you squinted your eyes and quirked an eyebrow at his reply but you felt butterflies in your stomach as he still complimented you, “no matt! look at my hair, it’s a mess, you can see my double chin, my glasses are lop sided, and look at that fat pimple on my forehead! and i have no makeup on. i actually feel disgusted looking at that right now”

he rolls his eyes, “okay fine, your hair isn’t perfect. your glasses are slightly lop sided, i didn’t even notice the pimple and you look amazing without makeup! why would you be so disgusted at the picture you? you look so cute in it.” he glances between the picture and your face, genuinely not understanding what’s so bad about it.

you jokingly roll your eyes at his obliviousness, “it’s ugly as shit, i just look bad. that’s why im disgusted.” you giggled out.

matt sighs. he doesn’t believe you for a second, “i’ve seriously never thought you looked bad! you’re so pretty, and this picture does not change it one bit” he grins and pokes your cheek and moves your glasses up your nose slightly, “it’s a cute picture and you’re a cute person. get over it”

you lean your head back on the back of the sofa with a smile on your face, “fine, i give up. you win.” you say leaning your head on his shoulder, he leans his head to the side and kiss your forehead.

YOU wake up suddenly, feeling very thirsty as you try to crane your neck back to see the stupid alarm clock you have sitting on top of your night stand. you can’t make out the numbers, and attempt to blindly reach out for your glasses when mingi grunts, trying to shove his nose further into the crook of your neck. it’s then that you remember that you fell asleep hugging your boyfriend while he rested his head on your chest, saying that listening to your heartbeat helps lull him to sleep while he had his arms tightly wrapped around your waist. you feel slightly embarrassed at the position you’re both in as you card your hand through his short-ish hair, your other hand resuming its previous mission of trying to grab your glasses from its place by the alarm clock.

after a few seconds of blindly reaching out for your glasses, you huff, deciding to just grab them later as you try to shimmy out of your boyfriend’s hold. mingi groans, tightening his grip. “what are you doing, tiny?”

“i’m thirsty,” you whisper. “i’ll be back before you know it.”

mingi sighs, “okay. don’t take too long, though,” he mumbles, attempting to open his eyes to look at you. “i just want to sleep the day away with you.”

you snort, now sitting up with your feet touching the cold floor. “baby, are you sure you don’t want to go out and do something? you only have today off, and you’ll be busy later at night for the live.”

the male shakes his head, stuffing his head into his pillow afterwards. “just wanna sleep with my pretty girl today…”

“even if it’s your birthday?”

mingi hums in response, and you laugh, quickly kissing the crown of his head and whispering happy birthday to him before pushing yourself up. when you’re in the kitchen, holding your glass of water, you purse your lips in thought, taking a sip from it.

you are definitely going to drag mingi out to do at least something today after he’s fully awake… which will probably be some time after one in the afternoon.

when you go back to the room, you happily crawl into the covers and mingi immediately pulls you into him, shoving his nose into your neck again. you laugh, wrapping an arm around his head and scratching his scalp softly. mingi hums, and he reminds you of a cat when he nuzzles his nose into—

“ow?” you yelp, bewildered as you push mingi away from you to see him smiling at you cheekily. “what was that for?” you pout, rubbing the spot mingi bit.

“nothing,” he replies. “let’s go back to sleep, yeah?”

you drop the subject and resume scratching his scalp. you don’t know how long it’s been when you decide to look down at the sleeping male. you can’t see mingi with how he has his face in your neck, so you lean back, almost cooing out loud at how adorable he looks with messy, oreo hair. you then trace over his eyebrows with a finger before lovingly caressing his cheek, eyes smiling along with your lips as you press quick kisses to the dots on his face. one kiss right beneath his eyebrow, one kiss on the top of his cheek, one kiss on his jaw, and one last kiss on his temple. your eyes then fall to his lips and you have the sudden urge to kiss them, but you flush in embarrassment at the thought of doing so.

unlike your boyfriend, you find it a little harder to initiate skinship.

well… only when you let yourself think about it just like now.

you settle with kissing the dot by his temple again, pulling back and gasping in surprise when mingi’s eyes fly open.

“what the…? mingi, since when—”

he cuts you off by leaning in, staring straight into your eyes. you attempt to lean back, eyes wide.

“well, if you won’t do it,” he says, licking his lips. “i will.”

mingi leans forward, his mission being to kiss you. you whine and cover your mouth, making him laugh as he gently pries your hands away.

“stop! i-i have morning breath!”

“okay, and? i don't care. c’mon pretty,” he says, chuckling. “let me have my birthday kiss.”

“stop,” you drawl. “when you say it like that, you know i’m going to cave in!”

mingi bites your cheek all of a sudden, pulling the flesh back as you squeal, laughing afterwards. “that’s why i said it. now give me my kiss before i bite you again.”

“you’re turning into wooyoung,” you huff, frowning as you settle down and admit defeat. “biting everyone out of nowhere.”

“i only ever bite you out of love,” he sings, pecking your nose quickly before kissing you.

the kiss is soft and fast. mingi opens his eyes to see your own flutter open, and before you can even process what’s happening, he’s already pressing his lips to yours again, the kiss being a little rougher than the previous one. it leaves you in a daze when he pulls back.

“w-why did you—”

mingi cuts you off by humming, pointing at his face afterwards. “give me more kisses, and you can't say no because it's my birthday.”

“you're abusing your birthday power,” you scoff, but nonetheless smile and pepper kisses everywhere on his face, making him grin. “happy birthday, mingi.”

A - Admiration (what do they absolutely adore about you?)

Let’s be realistic, he probably loves everything about you

You’re probably his first of many (probably only ever) relationship and ofc he’s grateful someone he actually likes, likes him back

If we’re being more honest here he probably loves how you go along with his jet black wings act and whenever he mentions dark reunion

Like- he knows fr that he’s delusional but at least you go along with it because you know how much it means to him

Not to mention how often you put up with him and his delusions

I mean- not only do you do that but also reassure him when he’s feeling a bit self conscious

Ofc he’s gonna love you, but this is just one of many things that he adores

A - Attention (how much attention do they want in the relationship?)

Kaidou loves having your attention but it still leaves him flustered all the same

Kaidou is pretty starved for attention and affection so once he gets it he absolutely lives for it

But then again- this is Kaidou we’re talking about so he flusters and stutters whenever you shower him in attention

He gets all tense and awkward but the way he leans in to you or way his head is held high doesn’t go unnoticed by you

So, all this to say that he wants all the attention you can offer

He lives for it and it honestly makes him all giddy and flushed

Ofc if you ever stop he’ll try and get your attention again but he’ll end up just keeping it to yourself because he doesn’t wanna be a bother

Honestly Kaidou feels so guilty and perverted for liking your hands but especially your lap

But when he does try and scare you you’re usually just 🧍‍♀️or if not and act scared then he feels so accomplished like- 😭

Ok so when he scares you if you’re the type to not be scared then it’s ok he’s used to it because of Saiki (no it’s not he’s crying himself to sleep)

But if you genuinely do get scared then he feels accomplished then genuinely apologizes for scaring you 😭

Now, it’s more likely that you’ll go to the school festival at the haunted house thing there and be scared

It was probs a dare from Nendou that’s taken a little way too seriously by Kaidou

He goes in with you because he swears he gonna protect you from dark reunion (he isn’t he’s actually scared shitless and wants someone to go with)

Once you go in he’s scared constantly and is screaming at the top of his lungs 😭

He swears he’s doing the protecting but if you say/do something that has to do with protecting him from dark reunion then he’s head over heels again and lets you

Although a bit bummed he wasn’t able to the way he wanted

B - Beauty (what do they admire about their s/o? what do they think is beautiful about them?)

Kaidou thinks you’re attractive all around

I mean it’s part of why he initially started liking you and ofc he thinks about it all the time

That doesn’t exactly mean that he’ll tell you directly

That’s too bold for him and if you were to ever try to poke at him for answers- let’s just say you’ll have to be dealing with someone on the verge of exploding

He’s flushed from head to toe, stuttering and most times he’ll close himself off from you whenever you bring up him liking how you look.

Now, Kaidou absolutely admires you for having qualities that he doesn’t have

You’re confident, you can actually protect him, and actually take what he says seriously

You actually listen and the fact you can handle yourself is not only admirable in Kaidous eyes but also something he’s sorta envious of.

Of course nothing ever comes out of that envy he feels but it’s still there

C - Cuddling (how do they like to cuddle?)

Getting this man to cuddle with you is a huge hassle

But once you manage to have him there- it’s definitely worthwhile

Now, don’t get me wrong- Kaidou loves the idea of being so close to you but actually doing it? It would be the death of him

So when the time comes and you guys actually do cuddle he’s all blushy and nervous

Kaidou loves the idea of being held

I mean he’s pretty starved for affection and previous times from when you coddled him and held him he’s been into it

So this time is no different- you open your arms and take the first step (because, let’s be honest, who else will?)

The two of you end up being in a position where you’re holding him and cradling him

He’s honestly enjoying it the whole time and his loud thumping heart beat makes that obvious

He’s such a cutie while cuddling too

He’s too nervous and can’t trust his voice but asks you if you’re ok with it all the same

And ofc you’re ok with it but it’s still sweet of him when he’s barely holding on

D - Dates (what does their ideal date with you look like?)

He’s probably just as delusional in his daily life as with your relationship

So he’ll be casually day dreaming of the two of you going out on a date, but where to?

Well, it’d be at a cafe

Not only would it be in a booth so he’s with you- but also enjoying sweets

Not to mention it’s out of school and away from his mom so ofc he’s gonna like it

Once you two actually do end up going on this dream date of his, he’s so excited

He’s literally buzzing and is pretty nervous

Ofc things go as good as they can and it went without a hitch

Probs cuz Saiki decided to help with disturbances but you’ll never know

Kaidou is his usual self

He’s pretty expressive with his jet black wings act and usually goes out of his way to do that around you

It’s pretty usual

However, he also learns to express his inner feelings

Ofc it’s only after a while- I mean remember him crying in the restroom stall in that one episode? LMAO

Eventually he learns he can just tell you how he feels but is definitely hesitant to because he’s scared to have your image of him change

Once you make him more comfortable then he’s even more expressive

Especially since he has his emotions on full display most times 😭

E - Equal (do they prefer to be more in control or laid-back in the relationship?)

He likes to think he’s more in control

He loves to pretend dark reunion is around and goes on about how he’d protect you

You of course play into it and that makes him happy

But in all honestly you’re probably the one in control

He doesn’t exactly hate it but rlly wants to be the one to protect you rather than the other way around

He thinks and occasionally says this however once you take the initiative he’s literally the most flustered person you’ve ever met

He becomes putty in your arms and in all honesty prefers to be spoiled more than anything

But honestly I feel like if he were to ever say anything about it it’d mostly be after he feels comfortable to

Regardless, it’s obvious to everyone and anyone that you’re the one more in control

And if u like this man, you probably expected this

Honestly Kaidou is just existing

I’m gonna be real, he never expected to have a relationship with anyone much less someone he feels so loved by

So maybe if you love him just as much then he’ll be happy at the idea of marriage

But then again, it’s too much too soon and would prefer to just experience your relationship now and decide later

He never really thought about it either but knows it’s probably something in his future considering how people usually get married once out of school

Now, kids are a whole other thing

He’s pretty hesitant about marriage so image children

Does not like the idea of kids at the moment

I mean not only is he trying to enjoy his life but it’s honestly just not on his mind

F - Forgiving (If they had a fight with their partner(s), how would they apologize? Or would they be petty about it?)

I feel like Kaidou would apologize relatively quick

He’s not gonna be upset unless given a reason and if it’s something stupid or small then he feels the worse

He’ll apologize probably even if it’s not even his fault because of how scared he is of you breaking it off with him

But when he gifts you it and you say thanks he’s glad- then turns to leave since the bell rang

I mean most times whenever something goes wrong he apologizes and tries to tend to you best he can

He doesn’t really know how to handle emotional situations so all he knows is to try to make you feel better

All that tied together is him being gentle with you

He’s pretty patient and this is mostly because of how you put up with his antics too

He’s not only this way emotionally but physically

I mean dude is not the best at physical stuff so most times he gets pushed or scared easily too

You and him probably held hands when you guys were casually walking after school

You had decided to go shopping just for fun and it just sorta happened

You’d think that you’d make the first move but Kaidou went ahead and surprised you by taking your hand first

So he turns to you and his face is fully flushed and refuses to speak in fear that he’ll stutter and have the worst voice cracks he’s ever had

The two of you continue the whole time until Kaidou lets go

He ends up confessing to you that he was scared that his hands were sweaty later on in your relationship when you were sharing random stuff 😭

You guys usually hold hands when you’re walking somewhere and rarely at school too because of not only how teachers make a big deal but the students too

Plus Kaidou is too shy for others to see

He gets better over time with dealing with his emotions but he stays pretty much the same

Ofc it’s a jumpscare when you first hug him

Mostly because he’s so touch starved but also because he’s never been in a relationship before

Anyways, you guys rarely hug because of how anxious and fidgety he gets when you guys do

It definitely also takes a while for him to hug you back and especially initiate a hug

So most times you don’t really hug he’s usually leaning his head on your shoulder and cuddling up to you like that when you’re just sitting down-

But when you do hug it’s really sweet

He’s warm and you can finally have him in your arms

His hugs used to be really stiff

But eventually they develop to be cozy and warm

That’s when he’s holding you

When you’re holding him (which is usually) he’s really clingy and actually ends up forgetting to be self conscious

Honestly when they’re initiated by him it’s awkward but sweet and they’re really nice

The first way would be him saying it almost immediately

Anyway, the other way I imagine this going would be after a long time

Dude is SO nervous and anxious to tell you but eventually does after like a thousand years

So he’d either tell you immediately or wait for the longest goddamn time ever

He is so silly 😭

He isn’t the type to joke harshly with you with insult but rather genuine and sometimes stupid jokes or pick up lines (that he only had the courage to say because of the joking undertones)

He’d probably never prank you unless you like to prank him first

Either way they’re silly pranks and never that serious

Plus jokes with Kaidou and usually him making himself seem dumb and when you do laugh along with him make sure to reassure him in the end

But yea Kaidou is just a lil silly guy and although the majority of his jokes are like that he just does stuff that are so hilarious sometimes without realizing

But when he wants to be funny? Yea not funny whatsoever 😭

J - Jealousy (what makes them jealous? what are they like when they’re jealous?)

He usually gets jealous when you take interest in someone else other than him

Now, it’s not like usual but only ever if you pay more attention/ hang out with them more

Most times it’s whatever and you tell him it’s not like that and he feels better

But it’s only when someone who he’ll admit is hot comes and tries to romance you or whatever that he gets jealous

He’ll probably go on about it in his delusions and claim in the dark reunion trying to get to him through you

Ofc Saiki is like “sure buddy” but Kaidou is secretly (not so secretly) freaking out and panicking

He’s starting the think that you’ll seriously leave him and Saiki is just there knowing that you’re just as down bad for Kaidou and he is for you

Whenever interacting with you during this time he’s pretty avoidant and gets distant

Ofc you’ll have to pull him out of his own head and tell him you love him

He freaks out and now instead of being upset he’s blushing and flustered

He ends up giddy since you ask him out in the end and talk it out but he’ll never forget the say the dark reunion tried to steal you and lost to him.

K - Kisses (what are their kisses like? who kissed who first? where do they like to kiss you?how do they like to kiss you?)

I love Kaidou as much as the next person but poor dude is SO BAD AT KISSING 😭

He seriously doesn’t know what to do the first time and just tries his best

The two of you first kissed when you managed to pass his moms test and made her love you and the two of you went to his room to “study”

Well regardless, you’re both sitting down as his mom left to the kitchen to bring some snacks for you two

He’s all nervous about you being over and when you tell him you want to kiss him straight up he’s all shocked

Ultimately he decides to let you and in reality it was just a short and sweet peck but ofc in his mind it was so dramatic

Well you two pulled away right when his mom came back and she was suspicious but nothing came of it

Ofc Kaidou was being the most suspicious person know to man

Anyways as they become more usual he likes to just give cheek kisses

They’re not too intense for his heart but when you guys do occasionally kiss on the lips he’s on the verge of exploding

He likes it and when y’all end up making out? He needs some space 😭

Honestly Kaidous love languages would probably be quality time, physical affection, and gift giving

Most times Kaidou feels closest to you is just by hanging out

He gifts (as previously mentioned) a lot of little trinkets to you most times

So that’s that and ofc the last would be physical affection

Mornings spent with Kaidou would probably be spent after a sleepover (that was disguised as a study sesh that would be an all nighter)

When you wake up you do the usual morning routine alongside Kaidou

You guys would probably be all lovey dovey in secret away from his mom as best you guys can 😭

Either way the two of you end up eating breakfast made by his mom (she’s super nice after the whole study thing) and just hang out doing whatever

His worst fear would probably be discovered when he’s asleep and you’re over

He’d wake up from a nightmare and because of all the commotion you’d wake up alongside him

He’d share his nightmare and ofc it’d be what it is

He goes on to explain his nightmare of dark reunion taking you hostage or whatever but seems pretty shaken up

Ultimately he ends up revealing how real it felt and that’s why he’s this way

Just comfort him and tell him you’re there for him as long as he needs you

He’d feel better and wanted, and as long as you hold him in your arms then he’ll fall asleep peacefully

Ofc it actually was about you leaving him for someone else but he’ll keep that to himself until he’s ready

In all honesty he’d probably want to call you the most rancid couple nicknames known to man

He’d want to call you that but he’s just too nervous to and wouldn’t unless you enable it

So when you finally let him he’s hesitant but ends up doing it

Then he’s caught by Saiki and others then gets ruthlessly made fun of 😭

P - Patience (how easily do they get angry?)

Kaidou doesn’t get angry all that often

If at all

I mean look at him, if anything he’d probably blame any and all problems on the dark reunion

Plus he’s super patient and is actually rlly cool about most things

If anything he’d be sad over any issues or fights you two have rather than being angry

Q - Quiet (How are the calm, quiet moments with them?)

The only time I can imagine a time where it’s quiet is when he ends up exposing how he really is

He’s probably bummed that you discovered him for who he is and not some cool guy who battles evil

Which you never thought but yknow

It’s unusually silent and nothing happens until you speak up

It’s not until you tell him that you don’t care about his little facade and that you genuinely care about him and not the fact that he “lied” to you

It all works out and the two of you end up silently just cuddling and being there for each other

Kaidou is so romantic it’s not even funny 😭

Most of his confidence comes from being jet black wings so ofc he’d do most of his romantic gestures and disguise it behind his alter ego

Most times he acts cool about it and that’s when he usually does dramatically romantic stuff

Like he’ll have a bouquet of flowers and maybe chocolates

He’ll hand them to you all confidently while on one knee

Then totally freak out while waiting for your reaction to them

All his confidence practically deteriorates and he’s waiting for your response 😭

But once you respond the way he likes then he loves it

I mean most times he’ll do this but otherwise when he’s seriously trying to win you over more than he already has he’s all flushed and tries to stutter it out as best he can

Most of his go tos are simple things like getting you stuff when you want it

But other times he’ll make sure to go out of his way to get you stuff

when you draw attention to his affections he’ll be super red 😭

Kaidou is pretty open with you besides how secretive he is with his diary about the dark reunion

That is until you end up finding it when you’re in this room 🕴️

His red face is really distracting so most of the time he’s trying to explain himself you’re just standing there

Honestly at least he’s secretive about this and not anything weird 🤷‍♀️

Everything you do

Honestly Kaidou has never had anyone supportive of him and his likes

So just you being there and indulging in his delusions is enough for him

But the fact that you continuously put up with him and his insecurities just really ties it all together

He wants to be the one to make you feel safe and comfortable yet you’re the one doing it to him

S - Security (how protective are they? how would they protect their s/o?)

HES SO PROTECTIVE 😭

I mean Kaidou is obviously the jet black wings ofc he’d be powerful and protect his dear y/n

Butttt he’s also secretly a coward who covers that with the facade of the jet black wings

So he’d protect you and put himself ahead of you but when it comes to actual scary situations?

He’s shitting himself

He’d still protect you and put you above himself but he’d be so scared 😭

He’d probably protect you by cooperating with what the other person wants realistically if it’s a bad situation (that one mugging ep)

But if it’s not that bad then he’ll play as his alter ego and protect you by putting the attention on himself and his awesomeness

He’s so cute and if you protect him back he’s a bit bummed because he wants to be the strong one but once you explain that you want it to be mutual he practically has heart eyes

It probably took so painfully long 😭

I mean homedude is so obviously in love with you and he’s painfully oblivious at first to how you feel

He’s basically head over heels and as I’ve said, you guys are probs rlly good friends before anything

So you both don’t want to ruin it

But eventually Saiki probably gets tired or sum best believe you’re making the first move and Kaidou ends up finding you with a “love letter” you wrote to him and the rest is history

So in short, it took a good while and probably would’ve tooken longer if Saiki, your wingman, wasn’t there to force yall

Kaidou acts pretty panicky when you get hurt or something

He’s automatically making sure you get home and once it’s the weekend then he’s taking care of you while you’re sick like a stereotypical romance anime

Although you’d expect him to be terrible at taking care of people he’s actually the opposite

He’s always taking care of you and if Saiki and Nendo somehow get dragged along (knowing them they probably were) then Nendo would probably do stuff that disturbs him taking care of you

Surprisingly he ends up shooing them away and actually takes decent care of you (and if you ever try any romantic gestures on him he’s seriously gonna have to step out of the room)

When he’s sick he’s probably whining and pretty weak ngl 😭

So when you’re taking care of him (which you disguised as a favor to his mom) he’s blushing at every thing you do especially when you touch his forehead

He’s pretty much taking everything as a move and is blushing the whole time so do what you will with this information 😭

T - Tease (how do they tease you?)

How does he tease you?

Ok ok I’ll try and not to bully Kaidou but it’ll be hard not to

I mean just look at him

Realistically he’d try and tease you because of this one romance manga that he started reading

He’s honestly just proud of you as whole

Whether it’s your drawing skills, trophies in sports, or whatever really

So yes, he’d love to show you off

Honestly Kaidou is rlly cute and I feel like everyone knows that to an extent

So even if it may not be obvious- he’s pretty strict with keeping up his appearance in both the physical and social sense

He likes his looks and wants to be appealing to you so ofc he tried his best and feels all cute when you compliment him

But he also cares immensely with how he’s viewed, especially by you

He wants you to know that he’ll protect you and wants you to view him as someone strong and reliable

Especially against the dark reunion- he wants you to know you could always rely on the jet black wings and go to him- not anyone else- but HIM

Regardless of whatever he projects you know this and when you acknowledge and try to show him you care and feel that way-

Really, no one really makes him feel all that liked most times so when you decide to fight for him and defend him he’s head over heels all over again

The most likely scenario would be that mugging one from before

You guys probably were getting mugged then you decided to defend the both of you

Kaidou is honestly touched that you’d protect him before he had the chance to do anything so he’d try and tap into his jet black wings persona and help defend you

He’s able to read you pretty well, especially since you’re usually going along with his delusions and encouraging him with whatever nonsense he does

He can be a bit oblivious at times but because of how much of a person pleaser he is with you since you’re the only one who goes along he notices every little thing

So whenever you’re upset about something he can automatically tell (although he’d honestly be distracted)

He can also tell when you like something so atleast that makes up for his obliviousness 😭

I feel like Kaidou is pretty closed off to showing affection at all at first

However, he’s still pretty shy as the day you guys got together

He acts so bold and clingy when he’s sleepy

He’ll be his complete opposite and do and say whatever along with clinging on you

If you were to reject his affection while he’s sleepy he’d take it so personally it’s not even funny 😭

Well it is sorta funny considering that he’s trying to kiss you when a couple hours ago he tried avoiding sleeping in the same bed as you

He’s so nervous and refuses to even get on the goddamn bed at first

It’s like the floor is lava- but with the bed

So when he finally goes to lay down next to you hallelujah cuz you can finally go to bed

He’s literally buzzing awake too so you have to pull him and hold him for him to calm down

he’ll actually act as if he didn’t uncover a big revelation. he’ll still be the same rengoku you liked and would never subtly tease you about your crush on him.

he’ll actually start to notice things about you, now that he started to watch you sometimes.

he will try to get to know you better while trying not to be too noticeable.

whenever it’s time for the monthly hashira meeting, it’s normal for him to be the first one in order to be the one to greet the master before their meeting starts.

but, lately the new hashira keeps beating him to it. yes, it was you.

even if he tries to arrive there 3 hours before the meeting, he’ll find you there already, greeting him with a wide smile on your face.

it would’ve irritated him whenever you kept interfering with his plan of paying respect to the leader himself, but he can’t deny the fact that you were punctual by arriving there earlier than the rest of them.

but, the day he realized that there might be a bit more to you going to the meeting early came.

it was when he had an unexpected situation the night before the meeting and had to send his crow to tell the master that he wouldn’t be able to come.

after a few hours, his crow came back. though it usually just takes his crow to deliver and come back in one or two hours. hm… weird, but okay… he brushed it off.

the next morning came and when he went to finish things that made him was already taken care of.

at that time, he still had the time to go attend the meeting barely before it started, so he immediately headed out.

when he got there, he was surprised to see you taking your time as you walked along the path to the entrance to ubuyashiki's residence.

he even thought it was a different person, because there’s no way you would be here when you’re always so early whenever the meeting is held.

when he caught up to you, because you sure was taking your sweet time, he was certain already that it was you.

“what are you still doing here?”, he asked you, speaking suddenly next to you.

when he looked at your face, it was a mixture of surprise and shock. you asked him what he’s doing there when he was supposed to be absent for the meeting.

he just explained to you what happened, but he found you not listening and looking somewhere else. confused, he followed your line of sight.

there, he saw his crow, seemingly trying to make a move on yours. he furrowed his head. ‘what is that damn bird doing?’, he thought to himself.

“your crow said you won’t be able to attend the meeting.”, he heard you whispering to yourself. he was immediately hooked on what you said and then slowly… he pieced one thing to another.

“don’t tell me… did my crow take a detour to your place yesterday?”, he didn’t miss the slight flinch you did when he asked the question.

“so, he did, huh…” he said, nodding. you didn’t answer and just looked away, turning your back to him.

but, he realized another thing.

“did he… also tell you about me going to the meetings early…?”, he asked while staring at the back of your head.

you snapped your head and shook your head repeatedly. “no!”, you denied with conviction.

he listened while you explained that you heard from kanroji that he’s always early and never forced his crow to tell you anything about him. he watched how your face slowly turned red, rattled about his question.

‘why is she so embarrassed about it? so much that she’s turning red?’, he thought to himself.

‘isn’t it good that she’s trying to be punctual because of him? or… is there… another reason…?’

but… he doesn't want to think that your reason might be the same as what he was thinking.

“d… do you…”, he started, stopping you in your trail of defense.

as he stares at you, his voice seemingly caught in his throat. he tried to speak up and continue his sentence, but he can’t appear to do it.

he then shook his head, making you confused.

“no. it’s nothing. let’s hurry up before we get late.”, he brushed off and then started walking again. he also called his crow and told him to stop flirting already.

you just followed behind him. you were aware that he realized it, but wondered why he didn’t say anything.

well, it’s because he doesn’t believe it.

he doesn’t want to admit that he thinks you like him. he should be focusing on protecting the civilians and not mind himself with love.

ah, yeah— yes, yes, that’s the reason. that’s definitely the reason.

it’s absolutely not because he’s flustered and he can’t think clearly. yeah, absolutely not.

he might get a bit weird for the next few times when you two meet again, but remember it’s not because he’s embarrassed, okay?!

Why Blitzø Likes Stolas

I've made jokes about Blitzø liking Stolas bcuz his type is tall, rich, powerful demons with musical talent, and that's probably kinda true, but I wanna talk about the real reasons Blitzø likes Stolas. Tldr at the end.

I think one of the major reasons Blitzø likes Stolas is how kind, sincere, and affectionate he is. Stolas is always making sure he is okay and is very passionate about litterally everything he does (dramatic little bitch, lol). And while he's ignorant ("my impish little plaything"???), he does mean well. Taking Octavia to Looloo Land to make her feel better, Going full demon mode to save IMP, his attentiveness to Blitzø during his mental breakdown in Seeing Stars, him absolutely adoring Octavia, him helping Ozzie when he gained no real benefit, etc, etc.

Also, expanding more on the affectionate part, Blitzø is shown to not get much affection or love in his life at all. His family situation was a giant mess (his dad literally sold him for 5 bucks and a condom Jesus Christ-), and Stolas is a very loving and affectionate person. Obviously, this is shown with Blitzø, but also with Octavia ('my precious little starfire', always staying patient with Via, even if he can be a bit dismissive, going full demon mode when Blitzø said he lost Via), and even his plants (he raised the flesh-eating plant since he was a kid, he pets the plant, on his insta he called a puprle rose "a handsome little rose"). And yeah, he's going to be affectione with Via, that's his daughter, but in Hell, (or maybe just from Blitzø's perspective, it'a hard to tell honestly) that's shown to be a rarity. So obviously, he's going to admire that about him.

And also, compare that to Blitzø's life. His dad saw him as less than, something happened that made his sister hate him, his mom seemed to be a good parent, but she's dead, his best friend and former crush hated his guts for 15 years, his daughter does care about him but she also mostly just shows anger and annoyance with him, and even Moxxie, who'd I'd argue is his best friend, gets annoyed with him constantly (I would too tbh but this isn't about that). Stolas just being his loving and affectionate self and being so happy to see him and always being so sweet to Blitzø is like a breath of fresh air to him.

Another thing is that Stolas shows clear interest in the things he likes. Take horses as example, bcuz we all know Blitzø is obsessed with them. Most of the time, his friends are pretty passive about it, but Stolas actually indulges him. Some of this is from their instas, but Stolas got him a horse Hoodie, he draws horses with him, and Stolas even got inspired to draw because of Blitzø.

(Also, plz note that in another post he commented that it smells like Stolas, and I want everyone to appreciate how happy he looks in this photo while smelling it again)

Blitzø probably admires Stolas's theatrics as well because despite growing up in a Circus where you were supposed to be dramatic and showy, he was still always taught to ignore or hide his true emotions (Cash ignoring that he didn't want to go to the Goetia Palace because "MONEY"). And while Stolas was raised the same way, he still wears his heart and emotions on his sleeve and is always showing them, whether it be positive or negative

And we all know thst Blitzø has major self hatred issues, but Stolas was genuinely interested in Blitzø as a person. Laughing at his jokes, asking how his day went, and with all of this, you can't help but wonder if Blitzø was figuring out that he did too. I think that's why he was so heartbroken about Ozzie's. Because to him, Stolas hiding his face was just proof that Stolas didn't care. That he was just a little plaything. But, Blitzø liked that Stolas liked him for who he was, and that he didn't have to pretend to be someone different.

Yes, ik Blitzø wasn't here for some of them, and he thinks that Stolas is just faking all of this. BUT, Blitzø can notice things subconsciously, and the stuff that Blitzø wasn't there for was to talk about Stolas's character as well. That's why I wanted to talk about this, to talk about what Blitzø sees in Stolas and his character.

Feel free to add anything if you want! I'd love to hear your guy's opinions, takes, and thoughts on the ship. I'm probably gonna a make a post on why Stolas likes Blitzø at some point, lol

Tldr; Blitzø likes Stolas because he's kind, sincere, loving, affectionate, passionate, caring, dramatic, and likes Blitzø for who he is.

"go back outside," you laughed, shoving jack's face away from yours.

you were at the hughes' lake house for the summer, spending most of your time wakesurfing, swimming, and hanging out on the boat. today was the one day you wanted to stay inside on the couch and finish the book you'd bought while the boys had the day to themselves.

of course, jack had other plans.

"i don't wanna," he groaned, plopping down on top of you.

"jack!" you laughed, trying to shove him off of you. finally, you gave up, putting your book to the side to let jack lay on top of you.

"why don't you wanna go outside?" you asked him softly.

"because i wanna spend time with you," he answered simply. "quinn went out with his girlfriend to that chinese place for lunch, and it's awkward being the only one with luke and his girlfriend. they're like... weird hormonal teenagers."

"oh, so it's because your brothers are gone that you're spending time with me," you rolled your eyes, laughing a bit.

"even without that, i'd still wanna be with you," he answered in a matter-of-fact voice. "it's why i'm gonna marry you."

"jack, stop making me blush," you hit his shoulder lightly.

"what," he laughed, pulling away. "there's a ring on your finger for a reason."

you smiled, admiring the way he looked at you with such adoration in his eyes. he acted like it was so simple. like he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you, and that was that. in some case, you supposed it was simple.

before meeting jack, you wouldn't have been able to imagine something like that, let alone believe someone could love you that much. but he changed that.

and you loved him so much for it.

"you're thinking," he said, getting up off of you and helping you sit up. "is it good or bad?"

"it's good," you promised. "i'm just thinking about how much i love you."

he grinned stupidly at that answer, "well of course you do. with these killer looks, how could you not?"

"you're such an-"

"luke! luke, what's wrong?"

your laughter was cut off as luke marched angrily past you and up the stairs and towards his room. behind him, ellen followed.

"i don't wanna talk," luke called, causing ellen to stop.

you and jack got up from the couch, making your way to the base of the stairs by ellen.

"what's wrong?" you asked. "why'd he storm up to his room?"

"i have no idea," ellen sighed tiredly. "he just came inside looking all mad, and then ran up."

jack furrowed his brows, "i thought he was outside with his girlfriend."

"did something happen with them, maybe?" you asked.

"i don't know," ellen muttered. she looked up the stairs, where luke had headed. "i'm going to go check on him. you two don't worry about him, i'll make sure he's okay."

you and jack nodded, letting ellen check on luke.

"are we sure it's not something bad?" jack asked you. "what if he's really upset over something?"

"ellen went to check on him," you reminded him. "it's better not to overwhelm him right now. we can go check on him afterwards if you want."

jack nodded, agreeing. "yeah, you're right."

the two of you headed towards the kitchen to take out your lunch. you and jack took a seat on the table, across of jim.

"did you finish your book yet?" he asked you.

"i would've, but someone didn't let me," you sent jack a look.

he held his hands up, a guilty look on his face.

jim looked up as ellen made her way back down. "any luck with luke?"

"he's asking for y/n," she said, looking at you. "honey, could you go upstairs and see what's going on?"

"yeah, of course," you answered, a little shocked.

jack squeezed your hand as you walked by, heading up to luke's room. you knocked on the door, waiting for an answer.

"go away," he muttered from the other side.

"luke, it's me," you called. "ellen said you wanted to talk to me."

you heard some shuffling, before luke said softly, "you can come in."

you opened the door, finding luke sitting on the floor next to his bed. he sat against the wall, his knees folded up to his chest and his head down. he didn't even look up as you entered.

"hi lukey," you said softly, sitting next to him. "you okay?"

luke sniffed, looking up at you with red rimmed eyes. "not really."

"c'mere," you muttered, pulling his head into your lap.

luke lay his head down, allowing you to softly run your fingers through his curls. his tears slowly subsided, and you waited calmly as he built up the courage to talk.

"how'd you stay with jack?" he asked finally. "like, it's been five years, and you guys are getting married in a few months, and not once have you guys even thought about breaking up. how?"

you pursed your lips, pondering the question. truth was, it took a long time for you to be this open and accepting to jack's love. you'd never received that same love as a kid, and never imagined to receive it as an adult.

"it's not easy," you answered him finally. "we were young, eighteen year olds when we met. i never even had a boyfriend before him. and then jack was some famous nhl player, and everyone knew him, and everyone hated that i was with him. but... honestly, we grew up together. we matured together. we made mistakes, but we learned to communicate and understand each other. it takes a lot, but we managed somehow."

you ran a hand through luke's curls, "i'm gonna take a wild guess and say something happened with you and your girlfriend. am i right?"

luke nodded sadly. "she-- she cheated on me. and then, and then she just said it like it was nothing. and then she started talking bad about you and jack, about how you guys probably aren't even a real couple, and i just-- i got mad. i told her she can go and do whatever she wants because i'm done." he looked up at you, "did i make a mistake?"

"no, no, you didn't," you assured him. "cheating's a choice, one that she made. when i said jack and i didn't have it easy, that's not what i meant. i meant that we both had things to work on in the start of our relationship. he was dealing with a lot of stuff with his rookie year, and i was still learning what a healthy relationship looks like. we worked on our relationship together."

"thanks, y/n," he smiled, closing his eyes a little. "that helps."

"anytime lukey," you smiled. "anytime."

outside the door, quinn smiled to himself.

he was walking past the room after his date, hearing your and luke's conversation. he'd spent the last four years doing everything to show you that you were family, that you were part of the hughes.

he was happy to see that you were believing it.
