it could definitely be going a lot worse!

they're definitely more clumsy, now - being that much taller, and also no longer having the tail for balance threw them off significantly at first, but they've more or less adjusted at this point.

(i think the partial amnesia at the beginning of Endwalker helped them adjust a LOT. they didn't remember the miqo'te-ness, leaving a blank slate for re-learning!)

there are a few things that carried over, though.

they're excessively expressive, for a viera, for one thing. those ears are moving constantly and they can hide nothing. and their teeny little bunnytail is no exception. that thing absolutely wags when they're happy/excited. (is wag the right word? who knows.)

There’s something about Natsu being angry and a fire dragon slayer/demon. It just hits different and I’m absolutely here for it!! It makes him hotter infinitely (pun intended)

Guys I just read "all the shiny things" by aelendair on AO3 and god fucking damn. I want to take a second and like praise this fic to hell and back. It's just everything you'd ever want in a jmart fic. It's Scottish Safehouse Period so you get all that fucking syrupy sweet domesticity that we all go feral for. It's Jon's pov so we got that Martin K Blackwood Appreciation that we love and adore and not to mention it's so fucking well written, I genuinely think it could be canon it's so in character it's actually insane. The angst is PERFECT. It's there to make the fluff even better, it doesn't get too sweet cause the angst is effectively utilised to add depth to the fluff and the characters and the fic in general. It's also supremely in character for both Martin and Jon and their relationship is wonderfully and empathetically handled. The protrayal of a realistic, healthy, communicative, loving relationship amidst severe mental and physical health issues has just healed something deep inside of me. it's perfect. Just go read it and send the author so many kudos they deserve it so much
