I had been doing a page a week or a page every 2 or 3 days depending on how impatient i got lol, but in the past few weeks i took a break from updating cus 1. Im visiting a friend in another country r now 2. My part time job upped my hours and i wanna prioritize that cus i need the scratch 3. The next few months im gonna be working very hard on some animation production projects to fix my portfolio up to apply for a fellowship (ill be posting the work i do on that btw) 4. The next few months I'll also probs be very preoccupied with figuring out some stuff for a medical thing. 5. Family stüff

Ill be posting more pages soon tho, i have some partially finished ones i intend to polish as im traveling back home. The comic itself is gonna be 60 pages or so (it may balloon out to like 70, i keep on finding stuff to add lol) script is complete, thumbnail are partially complete etc.

There's no way in hell im not finishing this, i love the script too much and i wanna share it in the optimal way as a lot of it is contingent on visual communication. If i ever do give up the ghost on this project id probably at least post the script so ppl would know where i was going with the comic, but my intention as of right now is to complete it at my own pace. im almost done catching up, after which i'll at least finish this "arc" (i think there's about three strips left?) and then i'l prob take another break to properly plan the entertainment district stuff, cuz i realized i'm prob gonna move it away from the red light district. idk how yet tho; my ideas have included maid cafe (so inotanzen can still go "undercover"), daki being some sort of popular influencer who organizes fan meets where people lowkey go missing, or she could even be an idol who only does night-time shows (and can u imagine if muzan had douma run some sort of agency and daki's one of his most popular products? hmmm will think more!).

okay this was interesting, had to rly think. Also idk if my definition of "technology" is right, but anything resembling will go. ALSO damn I rambled a lot, sorry abt that, apparently I like thinking about old tech

CDs. I miss owning albums, it was so nice to like actually have the physical copy of something u love. I think that's what missing now and is why I sometimes get actually annoyed abt loving a band/song (rn it's The Vantages (a band) & I'm actually mad about it) bc the "listening to it is not enough, I need to inject it to my bloodstream"-mood, which in actuality is that I'd love a physical copy to make it feel like a concrete thing. It's like the next best thing to going to a concert, and I can't keep buying merch I'll never wear outside my house to compensate. Also made u like decide on what album u want to listen to & the songs are always gonna be in the same order the artist decided them to be in, no mixing songs from the same or diff artists, you had to make A Choice. (actually my dad has my fave bands CDs (old-ish band & he an og fan) and it's kinda comforting to me that if (/when?) some Spotify apocalypse eventually happens, I'll have a way to listen to them anyways). Also been thinking for years about buying either a CD- or a vinyl player, or something like that bc I want to have physical copies of my faves (but haven't decided on what yet (probs vinyl tho. for the vibes.) and also the money aspect of it is not great)

We didn't have one growing up (bc my parents had computers at their work and so we didn't need one) but the thrill of going to like a friend who lived near and they used their 1h of computer time to like play some horse game; unparalleled. (still to this day the best game that has or ever will exist) (tho I think at around club penguin-era my sister got a laptop so I used that until I got my own)

Those calculators that prints on paper what u've calculated right after, idk what they're called. Never used one & obv never had one bc was a kid, and actually not fully sure if ppl still do use them (but guessing at least that they're not as popular anymore) but damn. The pure aesthetics and vibes. No cuz like, imagine Courage wants to be seen as reliable and dependable for you and stuff. His head can be bleeding for all he cares, he can even lose a limb or two, nothing is stopping him from protecting the love of his life. Maybe you'll yell at him, call him every name in the book, for being reckless and stupid for putting himself even more danger for you. But you know what? He doesn't regret it, one bit. All of that was worth it if it meant you live on, that you won't get hurt. So he won't have to live with the fact he failed to save the one who he loved the most, or that you'll have nasty scars reminding him of his failure. He doesn't care. Maybe he's an idiot, maybe he's a little aware he's a handful. But this idiot, lovesick fool will be ready to throw his life away for you because goddesses' be damned if anything happens to you.

Any headcanons about alphas submitting to omegas out of need not want. Like omegas who are so fear induced it causes anger and they become dangerous. How would that go? In what way do you think an alpha would submit, how could they make themselves small enough for an omega to calm down to allowing them near?

So alphas submitting to omegas headcanons, start!

This ask is centered more around the fear side of needing to submit ofc so I'll start there. I’ve thought a little about this myself so maybe I can try my best to answer even tho I’m sure others probs have better grasps on alpha behavior than me teehee.

So, let’s say an omega is in an extremely fearful mindset. A number of things could have happened to bring them there, and if an omega has trauma or was recently traumatized they could be dealing with a stress induced post trauma mindset started again by nightmares or triggered memories, it’s not so important aside from the fact they’re currently in a mindset that has them reacting at base instinct of aggression and lashing out in order to protect themselves or someone else, like another omega or a pup.

The omega is growling loudly, fat tears streaming down their cheeks because they’re so scared from whatever is making them feel this was, they’ve already caused some damage to other packmates who’ve been lucky to come away with injuries not deadly, but they’ve only just made the omegas mind state worse.

All packmates are good for situations like this usually, but sometimes in these heavily primal mindsets, they’ll need submission to show them that they’re in charge of this situation, so at least on a base level, especially if they’re out of their mind and again, just working on base fear instinct, they’ll know they’re no longer in danger. But perhaps, other omegas submitting hasn’t helped and betas trying too has also had no effect so the last and most unusual rung of the ladder to submit is an alpha. It’s not necessarily entirely uncommon for alphas to submit (to my verse ideas at least) but it is uncommon to do outside of an omega partner or very high ranking omega. It’s also difficult.

Alphas scents differ distinctly like omega scents and beta scents do. You’d be able to distinguish them at least most likely, so submitting to a dangerous omega as an alpha poses a bit of a threat on its own. Being an alpha, especially in a situation the omega is suffering because of an alpha, is not ideal in these situations. They’re used to being submitted to but not always submitting.

I think, the first thing to do for an alpha would be to get as small as they can if they aren’t already a small alpha. And if they were, make their presence small. (Alphas might not always have the physical size or exuberant presence that can be overwhelming, I think they too can be meek and smaller in many ways if that’s just how they look or how their personalities go, but being an alpha still means needing to adjust in situations like this to avoid danger.

So alpha makes themself smaller in anyway they need to at first. That put their presence in a much less threatening place to an omega who isn’t so aware of surroundings outside of their fear.

Next, an alpha needs to smell and sound submissive or placating. Some alphas would have a bit of shame for doing such a thing, some would even object entirely but an omega in this state requires the actions to be taken.

I think presenting themselves in a submitting way is the last thing they’d do. Barring their necks the last possible thing necessary because it’s the most dangerous of steps. Barring your neck at any aggressive wolf, be it fear aggressive or just down right so, is stupidly dangerous. That’s one of a persons most vital spots so it’s the last offered but often the most placating. An alpha submitting to an omega completely and fully can bring many omegas down from such a state. (If they can’t be brought down from this, they probably have to be taken down and sedated for their safety and others)

Ways to tell an omega is accepting the submission is a lessening in growls, defensive posture lowering and especially response to the sounds the alpha (or anyone in this case) is making. In their deepest headspace, when the alpha trying to calm them is in complete submission posture (even mindset teehee) the omega slowly scenting them is another great sign but never a sign of danger being gone. Not until they completely relax and show functioning cognition again, without that, trust can be broken and the cycle can be reverse.

This mindset can be solved simply with time but the dangers of it being left in such a raw state is not desired by packs especially if other packmates or pack puppies are involved due to possibility of accidental injury.

I would also assume based on 4+ years of watching her that her hels counterpart would likely being very sarcastic and have very dry humour. Like the rare times Gem pulls the sassy card are always hilarious and I think that hels!Gem should get to speak like that all the time :)

Also would you be okay with me taking this au/universe and writing some of my own stuff using different characters? As of right now I don't think I'll actually post it anywhere, but I have a lot of silly ideas mainly regarding the soup group and empires crew, but since this is you and Lunar's au I wanted to ask first before actually going anywhere with them <3

oooooo ok so first off, absolutely. while i’ve done a lot of worldbuilding for the HTP au, i def don’t own the concept of hels or helsmits- that was a gift bestowed to the fandom by welsknight and my interpretations are just one of many. all i can claim to really own are my original versions of the helsmits, who again, are one of many, and my storyline. so i’ve got no prob w you doing your own thing, and if i did, that’d be pretty unreasonable of me imo.

BUT YES, soup group. so we’ve actually met both pearl and impulse’s hels so far in ‘from eden,’ though only very very briefly. pearl’s hels is opalescentmoth, a giant monstrous moth hybrid who lives in a cave and eats players that come across her. she’s huge and has big fuzzy wings and antennae and multiple arms and massive compound eyes. her defining traits would be unhinged-ness (??? however you’d say it) and silliness. so yup, basically 5 am pearl all the time, but now she’s a man-eating monster.

impulse’s hels was introduced more subtly via a chat convo as instinctEV, atlas’s rival in the redstone business. he’s a demon like impulse is in this au, but with all his demon attributes cranked up to 11. big scary boi. horns, fangs, glowing eyes, forked tongue, forked tail, maybe even some kinda freaky demon legs, the works. but one of instinct’s defining traits is insincerity, so he sorta throws ppl off with his supposedly kind demeanor. in reality he’s more preoccupied with his other defining trait, hyper-efficiency, and only cares about other players so long as he can use them.

now, neither gem nor her hels have showed up in the au so far and probably never will. i do have a vague concept for her tho. i’ve always pictured gem as some variation of deer hybrid, whether it’s just an elf with antlers, a faun, or full-on cervitaur. so her hels is capricornslay, a unicorn hybrid (yes i know the actual capricorn sign is a goat, don’t come for me). i haven’t nailed down her traits, mind you, just the Aesthetic. she’s a centaur with a horn, and she’s like the old-fashioned unicorns on medieval tapestries and the side of vans, all delicate with the cloven hooves and lion-like tail. big ‘the last unicorn’ vibes. but her deceptive beauty and gentleness belies a hidden viciousness. she portrays the dark side of the forest, like that creepy old bog and mossy decay vibe, while gem portrays the light side of the forest, the cheer and vibrancy and life. cottagecore and dark cottagecore, u know the vibes.

Ok I spent time reading sebek stuff so I can try and see how he behaves and such thank you for the ask!(I will also use my own sensitivity to loud nosies as a base to work with if that's ok-)

Notes: talk of a meltdown at one point, brought to you by 5 am and still awake

Sebek with a quiet S/O who is sensitive to loud nosies(hc)

Sebek seems to me the type of person to not know what to do when this happens

He would prob be yelling again when a tell tale flinch caught his eye

Prob yelled at you about why you flinched only making it worse and if there's others that's probably not helping ya

And when you get all shakey and stuff he tenses up yet freaks out at the same time? He doesn't know what's happening to the human and he sure as hell has no idea how to comfort ya

So the first time he sees this happen you might end up on the verge of a meltdown-

But if you give him instructions (verbal or on paper) or explain it when your alone he might be a tad better at it after

He tends to just grab you and leave tho with how quiet you are it's not hard if you need to leave alone (he'll ask if your ok later prob demand something or say somthing about lord malleus in. An akward moment)

If you have nosie canceling headphones he'll prob get a pair to carry around just so the idiot human doesn't get scared(he's concerned for you and doesn't know how to admit it.)

I think the entire song would be from Kuai Liang's perspective, with this being his internal monologue towards Hanzo.

"Sorry that I'm scared of thunder like a dog, I know that you love rain, but I cry when something shakes the walls"

Kuai Liang's entire life has been one emotional connection after another being ripped away from him in very painful ways, so for him, connecting with another person and trusting them is very hard and he can't always tell the difference between someone caring about him and someone wanting to hurt him. So while, for Hanzo, their relationship is joyful and good, Kuai Liang is struggling to understand it (Hanzo sees rain but Kuai Liang sees a storm)

"Tail between my legs, I scratch while you relax, ruffling feathers, watching storm clouds pass"

Ties into the same themes as the verse above but specifically I wanna talk about "Tail between my legs" bc we know that Kuai Liang is a very powerful warrior, but he's also been made to bow to others his entire life and that's not a habit that breaks easily. He's so used to being used that he can't really conceive of someone not wanting to do that. And if its Hanzo using him, someone he trusts and cares about, well....why not? He'll be kinder about it than any of the others and that's how you're supposed to love people anyways, right? (it isn't)

"Hoping I'll make you hate the thunder too, digging in my claws to make you hate me too"

I think both Kuai Liang and Hanzo are self destructive in a lot of ways, but where Hanzo tends to go for anger and destroying himself by destroying others, I think Kuai Liang would push ppl away. Kuai Liang would keep trying to sabotage the relationship thinking it would lead to nothing but pain for them both (except it won't) but Hanzo just won't let him, probably doesn't even realize that Kuai Liang is trying to push him away, and assumes he's just adjusting.

Now we get to the chorus.

"I can't stand you in my bed, you're too gentle. I need you to hurt me back instead"

Kuai Liang has been used and abused his whole life, I do not think he knows the difference between people loving him and people hurting him. He's starting to figure it out now that he's free, but it is a struggle. And all Hanzo wants is to love Kuai Liang and love him softly. At his core, Hanzo is a very gentle man, despite the damage he has done, he is very soft. So he keeps treating Kuai Liang gently and being kind and tender and Kuai Liang doesn't know how to make sense of it bc as far as he knows, love is supposed to hurt and this doesn't. He probs tries to goad Hanzo into hurting him during sparring too, and can only really relax after he's got some bruises to ground him.

"I wish I could take you back to California, where you'd never heard of creatures like me. Little bird won't you fly away, Little bird won't you fly away?"

He thinks Hanzo would be happier with Harumi, if she had lived, and wishes with everything he had that he could make that happen for Hanzo. Its not an entirely unfair assumption on Kuai Liang's part, nor is it malicious or angry, he just thinks that he's not good enough for anyone, much less able to measure up to the great love of Hanzo's life. He also keeps expecting Hanzo to leave him, to walk out the door and never come back and is always surprised when Hanzo doesn't

"And sorry that I roll over to my folks, it's not that I'm ashamed but they keep me on the leash to choke"

Lin Kuei Trauma! They fucked Kuai Liang up so much! I think that even though they are dead and he's disavowed so many of their teachings which he refuses to pass on, Kuai Liang still struggles to let go of them in his own life. So he keeps his relationship with Hanzo a secret and hides it from the rest of the defenders even tho neither of them really wants that, bc every time he thinks of telling someone and admitting that he cares about Hanzo as much as he does, he just gets terrified bc if the old Lin Kuei were still alive, they'd kill him for this (he's seen them do it to others) and that's a hard fear to get past.

"I'm a hunting breed, if they sniff you out, they gnash their teeth"

Kuai Liang thinks he's only good for killing, he genuinely does not believe that he is worth anything else. He's also Lin Kuei, and as much as he hates the old Lin Kuei and what they were, he was trained by them and a member, he can't always remember what it is that sets him apart from them. So I think in some ways he's also afraid that he'll hurt Hanzo just by being what he is, and he doesn't want to risk that.

"I'm a coward scared of living outside, even if it means I crush you at my side"

Now, I don't think any of us would describe Kuai Liang as a coward but he thinks of himself as one when it comes to love. Bc as much as he tries to push Hanzo away, to hide their relationship, to try and avoid pain by keeping them both apart, he can't make himself let go. He feels selfish for wanting to keep Hanzo, but he wants that more than anything, even if having it means destroying himself. He knows that Hanzo doesn't really want to hide their relationship but he does it anyways bc he can't bring himself to let Hanzo go, even if it means making them both miserable (which they aren't, they just have a lot to talk about and work through together)

Chorus repeats and then

"When the bell rings my mouth waters, I'm a habit that won't alter, I'm an instinct, don't you fear me? Hunting songbirds in my sleep"

Again, Kuai Liang still thinks of himself as Lin Kuei in the old way as much as he tries to distance himself from them and become something better (which he is), and he's so used to being put in life threatening situations where he can't trust anyone that he can't see things another way very easily. So, I think he lashes out when Hanzo's gentleness confuses him too much and he reverts back to the behavior he had adopted in the Lin Kuei to survive, even if he doesn't mean too. He always regrets it, but he can't stop it either.

"Sorry that I don't treat you like I should. I only lick my wounds, teeth bared and snap, 'you're all that's good'"

I think this would be Kuai Liang trying to apologize to Hanzo for pushing him away so much, but when Hanzo tries to push a little bit and figure out what is going on so they can resolve it, Kuai Liang lashes out again. He calls Hanzo "All that's good" as almost an accusation, in the sense of "You're too good for me, and you're too good to me and it scares me" and Hanzo doesn't know how to convince him otherwise, that Kuai Liang is safe and Hanzo doesn't want to hurt him or use him, only love him.

"If I chase you away, I'm back to chasing tail, running circles after what was real. And maybe one day, I'll catch it, and I'll cry, wishing that little songbird was still mine."

I think that what Kuai Liang fears more than anything is losing Hanzo, and he's terrified that Hanzo will finally give up and abandon him like Kuai Liang has been pushing him to do all this time, leaving Kuai Liang with nothing but the memories of someone who treated him gently with no ulterior motive. Hanzo never will, of course, he's going to drag Kuai Liang towards self esteem and mental stability if it is the last thing he ever does, kicking and screaming if need be.

literally all of them???? uhhhhh for jatp i've killed just about everyone but the most unmentionable ones are learn to live with the unimaginable (carlos) and i miss the days when (luke survives). for lockwood it's probs but the wolves came and went (and we're still standing) aka my torture fic. one of my personal favs is my flash fic, Betrayal (Or, how he finds out) ALSO ALMOST FORGOT i thought i was innocent (but there is blood all on my hands) for bright sessions!!

i do happen to have some fluff fics!!! you are alive. is one of my favs of my jatp ones, and what a glorious feeling (i'm happy again) for lockwood. also shoutout to i need you like water for my happy green boys kissing in the rain

nope, nothing new (or at least new and substantial) on it yet. last time i got the energy to work on it I immediately caught covid and that halted all progress lol, not had much time/energy for it since i got better. tho hopefully i'll be able to get to work on it soon! i didn't really intend to leave it so long woops ^_^; that said i know yall r prob itching for anything sooo... rest assured! everything's going great for them definitely!! look they're holding hands :D

(which if i did i'd be fine with ppl printing their own copies for individual use/no resale, even if i did do a print run myself) but i'm not sure. thinking abt it raises the stakes mentally and it's hard enough just getting it done lol. i've not formatted it with a print run in mind, and i'm not familiar with the processes at all as i've never handled the production and shipping of such things myself. i'm also not sure if where the current comic ends... is where i want it to end end. that said... if other ppl wanted a physical copy i might consider running an interest poll and looking into it when it's done? absolutely no promises on that tho. i'd have to do some research to see if it's even viable for me, but i'm not totally writing it off the possibility if there's substantial interest in it)

another thing i hate about the tekken fandom is how some ppl call jin a "gary stu/mary sue" (then again since when has any comfort character i love ever NOT been called that ex. superman from dc comics and aizen from bleach). like if he really was a gary stu, he would've kicked kazuya's ass in the start of tekken 8 and then kazuya throws a temper tantrum or something. but no, my boy got his shit rocked and got washed badly. kazuya doesn't cry like a baby when he loses to jin. also he fucking loses to hwoarang and miguel. jin also has character flaws like being a tad anti-social due to trust issues by heihachi betarying him and fear that those he cares about might get hurt in the crossfires of his dangerous life. like wtf...then again like i said, literally every character i adore is called that guess i'll just continue to get used to it while enjoying my pookies.

the thing about gary stu / mary sue is that people had completely forgotten what it meant and now believe it means any powerful / strong character. even though the original definition of gary stu / mary sue wasn't Strong Character, but it meant a character that never had any losses, always wins and is good at everything, even skills they realistically wouldn't have, character that has zero flaws (or if they do have "flaws," they're not really flaws / they're likeable flaws) and a character that is virtually liked by everyone (except the bad guy and usually that's just because the bad guy is either jealous or somebody to be hated.)

most people cite tekken 4 as to why jin's a "mary sue" because he was able to defeat kazuya and heihachi. but like. it's important to note that heihachi has been defeated by kazuya at least twice in canon now - so defeating heihachi isn't the Biggest Feat that his fans like to make it out to be. and also heihachi is a strong human, but in the end, he's just a human. and then like, kazuya couldn't even beat paul (they also fought to a draw) and kazuya has canonically lost to heihachi once as an adult. and then we saw how lars has held up his own to kazuya (also just a human). so... we've seen how kazuya can struggle against mere humans before, why is it so shocking he'd lose against a mishima + hachijo (devil) + kazama descendent? also despite being related to one powerful bloodline, and two bloodlines with supernatural powers, it's not like jin is an Expert at Fighting because the lore Said So, jin worked fucking hard to earn his skill. jin spent 4 years straight doing nothing but strenuous training to fight a god. i'm not gonna belittle kazuya's efforts either, but heihachi probably did train jin harder than kazuya given the circumstances (there was likely a time limit as to when heihachi wanted to lure ogre in with the tournament, and he knew he was gonna set jin up against a god/beast. kazuya never ever had to go up against anything like that in tek1.) then after this, jin went another 2 years straight training to learn karate. jin trained, probably virtually nonstop and pushed himself to over the edge, for 6 years. jin is also an expert in three styles of martial arts, which is more than many of the, if not most, of the fighters. we've seen him earn this. it isn't like he didn't do a damn thing and is just good because the story Wants him to be!

tbh it's probs noncanon that jin lost to miguel as most tek endings are noncanon. but still - jin did lose to hwoarang (err... at least came to a draw with him. devil jin canonically lost to him tho LMAO) i guess he lost to lars, too in tek6 as well? and so on - jin has had many losses. there's a reason i often call him a Failboss. and jin's flaws probably outweigh his pros so like... no way jin's a mary sue and i just find it annoying when people try to insist on it. especially when these fans tend to be the type who think heihachi or kazuya can never lose to anyone else haha

i just wish people would realize that powerful characters, even characters who are very skilled in fields, aren't mary sues / gary stus. a character can be powerful and talented and still be a compelling character who isn't perfect.
