The Queen Rises Again, a For Tuna End
Part One Part Two Part Three Choose another ending
You hadn't seen much of Vil, recently. And anytime you went to visit him in Pomefiore, he was always “busy” and refused to even open his door to you.
At first you had been frustrated, but you were starting to get worried. Rook and Epel had assured you everything was fine, Vil was just going through a phase of sorts, but that didn't ease your anxiety. For seven's sakes, what kind of “phase” could Vil Schoenheit be in?
It was on another evening that had you ruminating on this idea, that Grim sighed heavily next to you.
“Oh, Grimmy, when did you get in?”
He stared at you for a moment, before scowling. “I've been sitting here, sighing heavily, for ten minutes.”
“Oh, sorry bud. What's wrong?”
“Oh, it's nothing.”
You stifled a groan. No one saying what was wrong with Vil was already weighing on you, the last thing you needed was another person to not tell you what was wrong. You weren't good at the guessing games.
“Grim, if you don't tell me, I won't know how to help you.”
“Don't get snippy with me! I'm in distrust!”
“Distress?”
“Exactly!”
He pouted, and crossed his tiny kitty arms, turning away from you with a “hmph”.
You steadied yourself, and forced a calm tone, gently scratching behind Grim's ears.
“What's wrong, bubbas?”
Grim sighed forlornly. “I've just been…thinking.”
You very much doubted that. That was the joke you'd have made if he wasn't so forlorn.
“About what?”
"About how I can't be everything you need.”
“Sorry?” You fought back a confused laugh.
“Look, I am the Great Grim! I bring joy and color to your life as the beloved roommate/son that you always longed for! But even I can't be everything a human needs…”
You quirked an eyebrow, and he scowled. “I can't give you romance. What I'm implying is that you're gonna die alone.”
“Ouch. Thanks Grim. Definitely could have said that nicer. But isn't the next thing you're supposed to say, “but you don't have to worry about being alone because I'll always be there for you?””
Grim looked at you like you were crazy. “My wife and ten children will be taking up all of my time.”
“Sure Grimmy. But I'm a big kid, I can take care of myself…”
“Sure, sure, I totally believe you. But what if…” he hesitated. “What if I had someone, who I knew was very in love with you, and was positive he could take care of you?”
You choked. “Sorry?”
“He's mad for you,  and I know if you asked him out, he'd say yes!”
“Lord, who would have a crush on me?”
Grim rolled his eyes, and muttered, “it's more likely than you think. Anyway!”
He pushed himself into your lap, cupping your cheeks. “Please Y/N. I'm worried about you, and I need to know that when I'm not with you, you will be okay.”
Your instinct was to say no. But when you looked into his eyes, he looked so sad and earnest, that you released a reluctant sigh, and agreed.
….
“Kay Grimmy, how do I look?”
He looked at the spot you were standing on the steps, and glared.
“Absolutely not. I told you this was a high fashion date.”
“Well, sorry, but this is all the high fashion I have! In case you forgot, we had to spend our entire monthly allowance to pay for a cleaning crew in the lab.”
“It'll have to do,” he sighed wistfully.
You heard a light knock on the door.
“He's here!” He scampered to the door, before looking back at you. “At least get a coat so he can't see the outfit.”
“If he likes me as much as you swear he does, it won't matter.”
Grim rolled his eyes and opened the door, to reveal…
….
Maybe it was just that you hadn't seen him in a long time, but something was different about the way Vil looked.
“Apple blossom, if you keep staring, I'll get self conscious,” he mused as he delicately rolled some pasta on his fork. Your cheeks burned, and you looked down at your plate.
“I've just been worried about you, that's all.”
“I'm grateful for your concern,” he reached across the table and squeezed your hand, making your heart flutter.
“Have you started a new skin care routine? Your skin seems like it's glowing!” You quickly changed the subject.
“You have a sharp eye! I've been trying some new products, and I think it looks rather good.”
“Yeah…wait! I know what's different!” You sat up straight. “Your hair looks darker!”
He froze. “I don't think so…”
“It definitely looks a shade darker-”
“How about we split a slice of cake for dessert!” He said in a voice louder than you expected, but you nodded.
….
“Would you join me for a moment longer? I need to pick up something at Octavinelle.”
“Yeah, sure.”
He placed your hand in the crook of his arm, and escorted you to the lounge. As you entered, Floyd, Jade, and Azul all looked up, various looks of irritation and shock on their faces.
“Wait here,” Vil whispered into your ear, and you gave him a nod as he walked over to Azul, who looked positively vexed. You watched him sigh heavily, then walk with Vil to the VIP room.
“So you and betta fish, huh?” A bitter voice asked in your ear, and you nearly jumped out of your skin. The last time your eyes had been on the twins, they had been across the room. And now they were here.
“Uh, yeah.”
“Was it a pleasant evening?”
“You know what? Yeah, actually,” you said with a smile. Maybe it was that you'd been so worried about Vil, and now you'd finally gotten to see her was okay, but you had a great date. You hated to admit that Grim of all people would set you up with someone you enjoyed, and could sort of see a future with, but then again, he knew you better than anyone. Why wouldn't he put thought and effort into finding someone he knew you would love?
“Damn, really? Ugh,” Floyd groaned, slumping against you, nearly causing you to topple over.
“What Floyd means to say, is that if you ever feel he doesn't live up to expectations, or he ever steps out of line, please feel free to discuss it with us,” Jade said with a smile.
“Please, please, please tell us if that happens,” Floyd had buried himself into the crook of your neck, and was now squeezing you tightly.
“I got what I'm here for,” Vil's voice called to you, as he not so elegantly yanked Floyd off of you. With Floyd apart from you, he took your hands in his, and then leaned in and pressed a kiss to your cheek. Over his shoulder, you watched Azul waltz back into the VIP room, and slam the door behind him, with an echoing thud.
“You ready to go, Apple blossom?” Vil asked as though he hadn't just completely reset your brain. You nodded dumbly, and he escorted you out. Over your shoulder, you thought you heard a growl from the twins.
But you couldn't think much about that as you got intoxicated by Vil's warmth and perfume.
The End

Finding the Right Mate -Klaus M.
Tumblr media
Warning: Smut and mentions of abuse
(VD x Twilight Crossover)
Tumblr media
"You're helping me enough Caroline, you don't need to worry. Giving me a place to go for a week away from him is exactly what I need. Thank you for everything you've done the last few days." Caroline had invited me to visit her in Mystic Falls the week before graduation. I was relieved as I was able to get away from my abusive mate for a little while, even if it was only for a week.
"I'm glad you think so Y/n, however I've said it before and I'll say it again, you can move down here and never have to go back to him. Think it over, I'll see you later at home, okay? I'll drive you to the airport tomorrow myself." I nodded, sitting in a booth in the grill while Caroline left to join the graduation committee which worked daily over the break which was the same days as the break in Forks. I knew she was super busy getting everything ready for graduation and I didn't mind, as long as I was here and not in Forks, Washington. The last week with my cousin had been great, a vacation in a sense before I go home tomorrow night and am shackled back to that idiot.
I was currently texting Bella who had been turned 2 months prior by her mate. Edward had both Bella and I believing we were his mates when we moved to Forks and that he would die without us, however when Garrett visited Carlisle he found his mate in Bella immediately, nearly killing Edward for trying to claim her as his own. I no longer believe I am Edward's mate as he doesn't treat me like it, nor does he care for me much at all, I'm just his human punching bag, but unless I can find my real mate I am stuck with pussy boy since he told me about the existence of vampires, he is responsible for me. Carlisle and Esme believe Edward whole heartedly that I am his, and as the leaders of the coven what they say goes, therefore Jasper, Alice, Emmett and Rose can't do anything to help me. I tried to get away from him the first time he hit me which was right after Bella was taken away by Garrett, however Edward told Carlisle I was 'being difficult' and Carlisle agreed that he was in his rights to punish me and teach me as he sees fit to be his "Perfect Mate".
I was sitting in a booth, eating lunch and expecting to be alone for the rest of the day without Caroline when a man approached me with a very happy smile on his face, one that was contagious. "Hello there love, are you new in town? I know I would have remembered seeing you before." This man was the definition of sexy and I wanted nothing more than to jump his bones right then.
"Um, not really, I've just been visiting my cousin Caroline for the last week. I'm Y/n Y/L/n." He took my hand in his delicately.
"Niklaus Mikaelson." He introduced, kissing the back of my hand like in one of those cheesy romantic movies, however he really made it attractive. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Do you want to sit?" I offered to him and he smiled wider, taking the seat across from me. There was something about this man that I immediately took a liking to and I wanted to see more of it. "Niklaus, that's an interesting name. Do people call you Nik?"
"Most people call me Klaus actually, but I would love it if you would call me Nik. Can I buy you a drink?" I nodded, smiling at him, trying to figure out if he was flirting with me or just being friendly.
Nik and I talked for the next 3 hours at that table and I have to admit after a few drinks I was a little tipsy.
"Come on kitten, I'll take you home. I don't think you should be walking by yourself." I nodded, standing and holding onto his arm, squeezing his bicep and giggling.
"You're super muscly." He smiled, placing his arm around my waist and walking me outside where it had gotten dark and I didn't even notice. "I can't figure you out Nik, you're like, impossible."
"What do you mean?" He asked as we walked down towards the residential area.
"I mean I can't tell if you're being nice, or you're flirting with me." We were almost to Caroline's house and I damned her for living so close to the grille as we approached the porch.
"What if I was flirting with you?" He sat us down on the front steps and I sighed at his question.
"I would be flattered, it's been a long time since a guy has been this sweet to me, however I need to tell you that I have a boyfriend back home." I expected him to get upset, but he just smiled, not looking at all shocked.
"I expected that, how could someone have not snatched you up by now? I don't understand though how you have a boyfriend but you just said a guy hasn't been as sweet as me in a long time...does this boyfriend not cherish you as you deserve?" I snorted at that and shook my head.
"Edward is...he's an asshole-"
"Then why are you dating him? If he doesn't treat you right, dump him and find someone who will." I shook my head, trying to find a way to explain this without exposing anything.
"I can't dump him, it's complicated and dangerous-"
"Dangerous...is he threatening you Y/n? Tell me and I'll take care of it for you-"
"Please stop...Nik, I don't want to be the reason you get hurt, please, I'm begging you, let it go?" He paused before nodding.
"Fine, I'll let it go for now, but I won't let you go. Come stay with me for the night? No one will ever know." I smiled at the thought of being with Nik for one night before I'm saddled with Edward for eternity.
"Just tonight, I have to be back tomorrow evening to get my plane." I agreed and the smile that lit up Nik's face was amazing. He lives in a mansion! A god damn mansion! I kept my underwear on and borrowed a shirt from him, pulling it on and seeing the blonde man watching intently as I cover my exposed skin. "See something you like?"
"Oh yes love, I like everything I see when I look at you." I laid down on the bed beside him but facing away, pulling the covers up and he leaned closer to me, his fingers trailing their way up my arm, giving me a chill and leaving me covered in goose bumps. "You are the definition of perfection...I hate that that boy takes you for granted-" He pulled me close so we were both laying on our sides, my back pressed against his chest. "-when he should be worshipping the ground you walk on." His fingers found their way around my thigh and up under the shirt I was wearing, massaging over my pantie line delicately.
"Our relationship is expected to be the other way around." I told him, trying to keep my breathing even but failing miserably as I felt my panties dampen.
"Let me show you what your life could be love." I knew he was asking, he wouldn't do anything unless I gave him permission and he was making that very clear, I could see it in his eyes when I looked back at him.
"I've...I've never-"
"It's okay." He cut me off, letting me know he understood. "Let me show you how a King worships his Queen." I couldn't find it in me to do more than breathe the word 'yes' but that was all he needed. He rolled me onto my back but stayed on my side, spreading my thighs and removing the covers from our bodies, leaving me exposed as he pulled his shirt over my head and tossed my panties somewhere.
"Nik-"
"Shh, just relax Y/n. This is all about you, just feel." Cold is what I felt before feeling his lips on my shoulder. His hand found my lower stomach again before caressing his way down slowly, stopping just before he got to where I needed him. He trailed one finger down my pussy making me gasp at the strange sensation, never having felt it before, not even from myself. "Are you alright with this? You can tell me to stop whenever you want to." I shook my head.
"Please don't stop...it's just I've never been touched like this, not even by myself." His eyes went wide and he looked confused. "I was 14 when I met Edward, he said that touching yourself was wrong and my first orgasm should be his when we get married." I was completely embarrassed and Nik seemed to know that, turning my head to face him.
"Well now your first orgasm is going to belong to me. And second, and third, and however many I can get out of you in one night." He smirked, leaning in and kissing me in a way that Edward never did, there was passion and love behind it and that was the moment I realized, after only a few hours of knowing him, I loved this man, it shouldn't be possible but it is and I refused to question it. He continued kissing me as his hand went back to work, pushing one finger inside of me followed by a second. It was an odd feeling but not necessarily uncomfortable. He worked them in and out of me slowly, his thumb trailing back up my slit and finding a spot that made my hips fly off the bed and made me squeal against his mouth. He pulled back, chuckling at my reaction and moving to kiss my neck, making me moan as he nibbled at my skin. I tried to relax my hips but the more Nik's thumb pressed against my clit the harder it got to relax. The 2 fingers inside of me had turned to 3 at some point and as he curled them upwards I gasped, clutching onto the sheets below me as Nik looked up at me smirking. He curled his fingers again slightly and my body jerked making the man do it again. He gradually sped up and as he sped up so did my breathing. I couldn't explain the feeling inside of me that seemed to be building the faster Nik got until I felt like I couldn't handle it anymore. The tension inside of me felt like it had snapped as my hips jerked up and I slapped my hand over my mouth trying to stop the scream that came from me. Nik's hand continued working as this happened and I could never in a million years explain the feeling in words as anything other than ecstasy, ecstasy that lasted for the next 30 seconds and left me gasping for air when it was over.
"I've been missing out on so much." I spoke, still breathing heavily.
"Yes you have love, this is what your boyfriend should be doing for you every day, and there are plenty of ways to go about it, I don't understand why he doesn't. Do you get him off?" I shook my head.
"Edward has never done more than kiss me, and not even the way you kiss me." Nik smirked and I was beginning to love that look on him.
"How do I kiss you?" I considered the difference for a moment and quickly figured out what it was.
"Like you enjoy it...like touching me and kissing me isn't a chore. I believe anything that has to do with physical contact bores Edward." Nik rolled his eyes and groaned.
"Why are you with this boy?" I giggled at the frustration on his face before grimacing as I moved my body.
"Where's your bathroom? I want to clean myself up a little bit, I'm uncomfortable." His eyes snapped back to mine and the mischievous smile on his face was enough to scare me.
"In that case, you're ready for your second orgasm of the night." My eyes widened and I leaned away from him a little before he grabbed me around the waist.
"Nik! Nik, wait! Let me clean up first! What are you doing?" He had turned me so I was laying sideways on the bed with no pillows behind me, pinning my hips down with his hands and leaning over me. "Will you listen to me?!"
"No." He stated simply, connecting our lips firmly and nearly making me forget why I was fighting him in the first place. "Trust me, I'm not yet done worshipping you." He kissed down my throat and chest, making a quick stop at each of my breasts, licking and nibbling at my nipples, and continuing down my stomach, dipping his tongue in my bellybutton which made me giggle and him look up at me. "I love learning more about your body princess, you're ticklish just about everywhere aren't you?" My eyes widened, knowing he would use that against me in the future, as he went back to his descent. He kissed down to my waist before lifting my legs at the knees and kissing up the inside of my thighs. I was delighting in the feel of his soft lips against my thighs when suddenly his tongue was pressing firmly against my clit. I gasped for air, trying to keep breathing as he worked his tongue against my clit every which way, keeping a constant pressure on me that was driving me insane. I opened my eyes and looked down at him as he pulled back, panting, his fingers stroking me as he locked his eyes on mine. "How's that princess? How does that make you feel?"
"It feels amazing! I never imagined something being able to feel this good, please don't stop?!" I pleaded and he smirked, diving right back in, his tongue getting back to work while his hands found my breasts, pinching my nipples between his fingers. I felt that beautiful tension begin to rise in me like last time and I reached my hand down, tangling my fingers in his short blond locks. "Nik...Oh my god! Niklaus!" I shouted his name as my orgasm tore through me, though Nik didn't slow down at all, in fact he sped up, moving his one hand down and inserting 2 fingers, curling them and thrusting them in and out of me, assaulting a spot in me that was making me see stars. I didn't have a second after one orgasm finished to calm down before another one started and I gasped, screaming and grinding myself onto his mouth as he cleaned me up just like he promised.
When he was finished he crawled back up my body, pulling his clothes off and cuddling me to him, wrapping us in the covers. "Did you enjoy your multiple orgasms?" He was smirking and he knew I had loved it, he also knew I couldn't form a sentence right now if life depended on it. "You're beautiful when you come love, simply beautiful. I want to be able to witness it for the rest of my life." I nodded feeling the tiredness from the alcohol and the exhaustion from his fingers and tongue collide and make me close my eyes already near unconsciousness.
"I wish you could." I mumbled, letting sleep take over me.
"Then why can't I? I'll take care of you, give you whatever you want for the rest of eternity...I'll treat you right...Y/n?"
"No Edward, I'm tired and you're cold. Let me sleep." I mumbled, trying to keep the vampire from pulling the blankets off of me like every other morning when I heard a short chuckle.
"What? You're half asleep aren't you. Y/n, I'm not-"
"Leave me to sleep, if you hit me again I'll yell for Jasper and he'll kick your vampire ass." I growled, shoving the hand from my shoulder.
"Vampire...Y/n, I need you to explain right now." I felt Edwards hand on my waist and pushed it away again, rolling over.
"I'm don't want to be your mate Edward, stop touching me!" I heard a low growling but the hands stopped after that and I continued to sleep.
~~~~
I awoke the next morning feeling great and I had slept straight through the night, something I hadn't done since I found out Edward liked to watch me sleep at night. I stood from the bed, pulling on my underwear and Nik's discarded shirt. I opened the bedroom door to the smell of breakfast cooking. I turned the corner to see Nik putting the box of eggs back into the refrigerator and I tip-toed up behind him only for him to spin around and lift me into the air. "Jerk! You're just like Emmett, no one can sneak up on you can they?" I kissed his cheek and stole a piece of bacon, biting into it.
"No, they can't, but to be fair, I'm the oldest vampire known to man-" I cut him off by choking on my bacon, coughing until he pat my back and I swallowed it completely.
"That wasn't funny Nik." I sat on the barstool and looked at him to see he wasn't laughing. "You're actually being serious?" He nodded once but said nothing else. "Why are you telling me this?"
"Well, it seems only fair, you told me you were mated to a vampire last night." My eyes went wide as I realized.
"I talk in my sleep too often to sleep anywhere but home apparently...Well, I suppose you knowing is better. I was dreading having to tell you 'Hey Nik, I'm in love with you but I can't be with you and I can't tell you why'."
"Right, you can't be with me because you let yourself be mated to someone who is not your mate. That makes it hurt so much less. Now, after 1000 years of searching for you, I still end up completely alone." Okay, now I'm officially confused.
"Let myself...you think I would ever let him do anything to me? He lied to me and my friend Bella the day we met him, told us we were his mates, we were 14 years old, and completely human, how were we supposed to know it wasn't true!? It's not like he can do anything until we're turned anyway, then Bella has to find Garrett, her real mate, he changes her and she leaves me with Edward all alone. He loses his fucking mind, starts beating the crap out of me, Carlisle and Esme won't do anything though cause they think I'm his mate, he tells them I'm 'difficult' and they just let him go on hitting me, like it's completely fine, like he's just molding me into the perfect mate. Jasper and Alice want to help me, Emmett and Rose want to help me but they can't go against Carlisle, he saved them, they owe him. Now I get to go home today after meeting the perfect guy and completely falling in love with him in a matter of hours, to go to a high school graduation tomorrow and then I get to burn for 3 days and spend the rest of my life sparkling like a fucking disco ball all because I moved to the rainiest town in the US and some 100 year old virgin vampire decided to ruin my life!" By the time I had finished ranting I had paced back and forth across the living room 4 times and collapsed against a wall, sobbing and unable to stop.
"They're not vampire's love, you're talking about cold ones. They drink blood but they can hardly be called vampires." I looked at Nik who was now kneeling in front of me. "Cold ones can't mate with humans, they need to change them first-"
"Which is what Edward is going to do to me tomorrow night, he's going to change me and-"
"No."
"No?" I asked, confused.
"No. You're my mate love, I thought you had already been marked by a vampire, in which case we wouldn't be able to be together. See real vampires have a small amount of venom where cold ones have venom instead of blood. Our venom can only be used once and that is to mark our mate. I thought you had been marked by another one of my kind, in which case I wouldn't be able to mark you as mine-"
"But since I haven't been you can and I can be with you?" He nodded and I grinned, launching myself forward and into his arms. "I thought I was going to have to spend the rest of my existence with an idiot who beats me."
Nik held onto me for the next few minutes, just letting me cry. “I would never have let that happen to you, even if I couldn’t mark you.”
"If vampires can only mark their mates how would I have been marked by anyone else?"
"You can mark anyone, in fact it's become a thing to mark the first person a vampire loves and not wait for their mates. I've spent 1000 years waiting for you."
"No pressure." I joked and he smiled.
"None at all, you are perfect, at least you are when you get rid of all the cold one problems, and I plan to very soon. Step one to my plan is to get a ticket on the plane you're getting on tonight." I was confused as he led me to the table and put my plate of breakfast in front of me.
"Why? I don't need to graduate, I can just stay here with you and never go back to see him again."
"You're graduating, and don't worry, we'll come back here afterwards, after I talk with this coven leader about how to identify mates, and after I kill Edward Cullen." I was thrilled with that and Nik and I spent the rest of the day talking, getting to know each other. He explained his family and how he became a vampire, having broken his curse, killed Mikael and freed his family only months ago while I explained Bella and I, the Volturi (who apparently knew my mate very well) and the Cullen's, of which he promised not to hurt the 4 who actually helped me. "I think the animal diet is going to their heads, it's the only think I can think." He told me as we sat on the plane that night. "One thing I can't get out of my head is what you said about Jasper."
"What about him? I don't know all that much about what he did before he and Alice came to find Carlisle, he doesn't go into detail when I'm around. I know that he trained Newborns." Nik's eyes widened and he smiled as I said this.
"Jasper Whitlock. Maria's right hand, I remember him. Maria and I had a few dealings when Katerina was on the run through Mexico a century ago. Good soldier, definitely not a man I want around you though." I could see the worry on his face and resisted asking questions I knew Jasper didn’t want me to know.
"Jasper is different now. He told me stories about what he was like back then, and honestly it doesn't shock me. After so many years of slaughter and carnage, how do you not lose your humanity? He has Alice now and she saved him, feeds on animals so he doesn't feel the emotions of the people he eats, plus Alice is a happy, upbeat fairy like girl, he feeds off of that energy, keeps him from being depressed I suppose. You'll like Jasper as he is now, he's my best friend. I think you'll like Emmett too, he looks tough but he's a big teddy bear. One of them usually stays in or nearby my room when I sleep at night."
"Why?" Nik wondered, looking at me worriedly.
"I have nightmares, I haven't slept all the way through a night since I came to Forks 4 years ago, also I'm scared of Edward."
"In your sleep?"
"When I'm not expecting it..." It took him a moment to figure out what I was talking about.
"You're afraid of him raping you?" I nodded.
"Just because he hasn't doesn't mean he won't. It probably won't happen, I just think it's better to be safe than sorry. Jasper and Emmett just think it's because they keep the nightmares away." He looked at me completely heart broken.
"That's not something you should have to say about someone you live with. You shouldn't be scared of something like that in your own home. I promise you that no man besides me will ever put his hands on you again. You're safe with me, I swear it."
"I know I am, I slept all the way through the night last night. I trust you Nik and I felt safe even when I thought you were completely human." He leaned over the armrest, kissing my forehead and pulling me close, allowing me to nap on his chest until we got to Port Angeles. It was nearly midnight and I was supposed to get a room for the night in the hotel down the street and be picked up by Jasper tomorrow.
I watched Nik get us a hotel room before I stepped up and used Carlisle's card to get my own. "What are you doing?" Nik asked.
"Edward will check the card to make sure of where I'm staying, he will also ask the workers so don't let them see you talking to me." He nodded, taking his bag and walking off to the elevator.
"Friend of yours?" The man behind the desk asked as he came back with my room key and I smiled.
"Not really, we realized we were going to the same hotel at the airport and shared a cab, he's a nice guy I suppose." I shrugged, taking the key and walking off. I got to my room and immediately called Jasper to tell him I was safe.
"Good, I was starting to worry about you a little bit Kid, you didn't call at all today. You always check in with me."
"I know Jazz, I'm sorry. It was just hard saying goodbye to my friends, knowing that it really was goodbye." I hated lying to him but I knew if any of them got wind of Niklaus Mikaelson being my mate Edward and most likely Carlisle and Esme would be gone.
"I understand kid, I really do, but you know you've got us."
"Always Jazz? No matter what happens, right? You're always my brother?" I needed the reassurance, though I believed Jasper would quickly forgive me for what was going to happen tomorrow, all of them would.
"Always Kid, you know that. Edward is on the phone with the man at reception, told him you shared a cab with a man you talked to in the lobby which he is pissed about, and that you're in your room for the night. Edward said to leave you a wakeup call for 4:30 like normal."
"I don't even need to be at the school until noon. Come get me at 11, okay Jasper? I'll shower and get ready here, all I need you to bring is my cap and gown." I really just wanted to sleep in with Nik but I knew Jasper was good for keeping his promise.
"You got it Y/n, I'll see you then. Get some sleep."
"Night cowboy." I hung up the phone and quickly grabbed my bag, leaving the room and getting the elevator to the top floor, because of course Nik would get the penthouse suite when we're only here for a night. I knocked on the door and Nik was answering it a second later, pulling me into his arms. "Well hello to you too, I realize we haven't seen each other in a whole 5 minutes but try to control yourself." I teased and he mock glared.
"I don't like not being right next to you while you're still unmarked, and I also don't like having to wait until tomorrow to-"
"Good news. I talked to Jasper and I got him to pick me up at 11 tomorrow, I don't even need to see Edward before graduation. It'll piss him off but it's not like he can do anything about it until after graduation anyway. I did that all so that you can mark me right here, right now, so you don't have to feel anymore anxiety about it." He grinned, leaning down to connect our lips. "I just want us to start our forever together. Also, I texted Bella, her and Garrett will be there to see me graduate tomorrow, I'm inviting them back to the house afterwards where you will be waiting, heads up, you might have to let Garrett get a hit or 2 in with Edward."
"I suppose I can allow that, the man deserves it after all." Nik walked me into the kitchen where he handed me a long island iced tea like the ones I drank at the grill, making me smile.
"I'm really glad I don't have to give up eating and drinking when I become a vampire. When I called Jazz, Edward was on the phone with the front desk. I told the guy that we shared a cab from the airport and Edward was pissed. God forbid I be dating him and talk to someone else with a penis." Nik snorted.
"I hate to say this in his favor, but you did sleep with said man." I took a sip of my drink, pointing at him.
"True, but I only slept with you, I have yet to actually use your dick. I mean the only person who has gotten any kind of sexual gain from this relationship so far has been me." He shrugged.
"I don't know, I mean I did jack off with you in mind last night, I had to do something, you fell asleep and left me with a major erection." At this point I couldn't hold in the laughter at our conversation anymore and neither could he.
"Well, I think I should remedy my actions, don't you?" His eyes darkened and I grinned, jumping up and running towards the bedroom, being lifted bridal style half way there and thrown on the bed. "Oh my god this bed is amazing." I marveled, loving the silk sheets before hearing a growl and seeing my already half naked hybrid impatiently waiting. "Sorry, it's not every day I stay in a penthouse suite."
"Well you will from now on or maybe the honeymoon suite instead." I considered that, loving the idea as I pulled my shirt and jeans off, kissing Nik who crawled on top of me quickly, ripping off my bra and panties. "I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love your pussy." He laid me back, removing his boxers and spreading my legs. "Are you ready?" I nodded.
"Where do you want to mark me?"
"Here, That way I'll be the only one to ever see it, others can smell it and that's fine but it's supposed to be personal, I think right over your heart is perfect." I agreed with him completely.
"Only if I get to mark you in the same place." He smiled, connecting our lips before pushing straight into me. The stretching hurt but it wasn't too bad and passed fairly quickly, allowing me to let him move. The moment he started moving I knew I was done for, I don't know if it's a sex thing or a mate thing considering this is my first time but I know I'm going to become addicted to this. Nik was very slow in his movements and I couldn't decide if he was trying not to hurt me or if this was somehow just as good for him as it was for me. "Nik?"
He opened his eyes and looked at me shocked, as if he only just realized he wasn't alone and I giggled. "I had been told...but I never believed it. Sex with your mate is supposed to be the pleasure of any other time multiplied by 100. Fucking hell Y/n!" He cursed, lifting one of my legs over his shoulder and moving faster, continuing to curse like crazy. I quickly got frustrated with the fact that I couldn't move at all in this position, dropping my leg and pinning him to my chest, rolling over so I was now on top. I bent my knees at his sides and placed my hands on his chest so I could use it as leverage to move. "I love this position." He told me and I giggled as he watched my tits bouncing up and down as I did.
"Oh god, so close Nik, fuck!" I was practically sobbing at this point, begging any and every deity in existence for release and Nik gave it to me as he took hold of my hips he began thrusting up into me as I dropped down. "Holy Fuck!" I screamed, my orgasm hitting me at the exact moment his did and he dug his fangs into my left breast. "I love you Nik, so fucking much!"
The venom burned slightly once I had come down from my high, though I didn't mind, it just let me know it was working. He stayed attached to me for another 2 minutes before pulling back, his mouth covered in blood and some other clear liquid that I'm assuming is his venom. "I love you too kitten, and I can't wait until I can change you so I won't have to hold back anymore." I looked up at him shocked.
"That was you holding back? Cause if it was change me now, I need to know what you not holding back is like." He smiled, pulling me close to kiss him before laying back against the pillows, pulling me to his chest. "I just want to stay like this forever, can we do that? Naked, in bed, just the 2 of us. Room service and silk sheets. This is perfect, right here, right now."
"It will be even more perfect when you're a vampire too, naked, in bed, just the 2 of us, room service, silk sheets and in Paris." I lifted my head from his chest and grinned.
"Paris, really? You mean it?!" He chuckled, nodding.
"Of course love, anywhere you want to go. I'll propose sometime after you change and we will go on an extended honeymoon, We'll travel everywhere."
"And have sex in every country?" I teased making him laugh but nod. "Can we go to Venice? I've always wanted to go to Venice, and the Caribbean."
"Of course we can. Anywhere you want, I told you yesterday, you deserve to be treasured, I will spend the rest of our existence worshipping the ground that you walk on. You will want for nothing in my presence because I want you, need you, I will spend every minute of every day loving you. The past few years of your life have been shitty, but I promise your future is going to be better." I had tears in my eyes and I felt like I couldn't stop crying as I held onto him.
"That was beautiful Nik, no one has ever said anything like that to me before. I don't think I can really say anything close to that meaningful to you, but I can say that the loneliness you've felt for the last 1000 years is over. You will never be alone again Niklaus, I promise, I will be here for you till the end of eternity." I leaned in, pressing my lips to his, this kiss being different than any we had had so far, it held every promise we had made to each other and every ounce of love in our hearts.
I was awoken the next morning to the sunlight shining in my eyes. I looked at the alarm clock and saw it was 8 in the morning making me realize I should probably just stay up. I sat up from Nik's chest and looked back at him, smiling before smirking as I noticed his erection pressed under the sheet that was over us. I ducked down under the sheet and moved slowly as not to wake him, kneeling between his legs and pressing my tongue against him, licking up his shaft before taking him in my hand. I licked over the head, tasting the precum that oozed out before taking him in between my lips slowly, inch by inch until he hit the back of my throat. When he was all the way in my mouth I swallowed around him, feeling his body jolt and knowing he was now awake before making a gagging sound and easing him back out.
"Y/n?!"
"Who else would it be?" I asked before deep throating him yet again. I bobbed my head up and down a few times before Nik threw the sheet off of me, somehow getting harder as he saw me.
"Fuck Y/n!" I continued bobbing my head up and down, swirling my tongue around his head every now and again until I got it in me to relax my throat and push him all the way back, swallowing and moaning to cause vibrations. "Shit! Shit baby, stop...Y/n, that's enough." I pulled my mouth off just as he started cumming, allowing him to come on my face.
"It would have just been easier to swallow it." I mumbled, feeling it dripping down my naked chest.
"Well, I didn't plan on cumming on your face love."
"Where did you plan on cumming?"
"I didn't, you woke me up with your sexy mouth around my cock."
"Oh yeah." I giggled, sitting up. "I just planned on swallowing it. However I need to get into the shower so I suppose this is okay." I hopped up off of the bed and walked into the bathroom, starting the water and stepping into it, letting the sticky substance wash from my body before stepping completely under the water and wetting my hair. I went to pick up the shampoo I had brought with me but found nothing, when I opened my eyes and looked it was where it was supposed to be. Suddenly there were hands on my head and I felt Nik scrubbing my shampoo in making me smile. "Your hands are magical, I swear."
"So is your mouth love." I giggled at that as Nik rinsed my hair out before grabbing the conditioner. I squeezed shampoo onto my hand and quickly lathered his head up since he only had a little bit of hair, before rinsing it while Nik ran his conditioner covered fingers through my locks. "I love washing your hair for you."
"That's good because I love you washing my hair, it works out." We spent an hour in the shower together washing each other, sharing kisses and innocent touches here and there until we needed to get out. By that time it was a little after 9:30 and I began blow drying my hair and styling it half up and half down with some curls in it. I dressed in a short dark blue dress that came to my mid-thigh and blue heels since it was a special day. We ordered breakfast and ate together, just talking until 11.
"I'll leave a few minutes after you." I shook my head.
"Walk me to Jasper's car, I'm going to tell him now, that way he's not shocked later and can actually calm people down." Nik nodded thoughtfully but ultimately decided I was right. Jasper was pulling up just as we walked out and Nik handed me my bag. "I'll see you later, right?"
"Of course, I'll be watching." He gave me a quick peck on the cheek before leaving me to step into Jasper's mustang.
"Alright darlin'. What's going on?" I put my bag in the back and sighed as he began driving.
"I don't want to lie to you Jazz, you're the closest thing I have to a real brother, but if I tell you, I need you to keep your mouth shut until after graduation. Can you do that?" He nodded, knowing just by feeling how I feel that I was serious and desperate. "That was my mate. He's a traditional."
"Thank god!" Jasper exclaimed and I looked at him strangely. "What? I don't want you to be with Edward forever darlin'. I want more for you and that man put a smile on your face with just a simple kiss to your cheek. I want to meet him though, I'm your big brother, threatening the boyfriend is my job, though I must admit, he looks strangely familiar." I decided not to mention how my mate could snap him in half like a twig, or the fact that he knew Maria and just nodded.
"He's coming to the house after graduation. Don't think about it, I don't need Edward knowing." He nodded.
"Of course darlin', that's a given. Were you with him all night?" I nodded, pulling down the front of my dress to show him my mark. "Well, he's sure a quick fucker isn't he?"
"I met him in Mystic Falls 2 days ago. I didn't know he was a vampire when I went home with him." Jasper rolled his eyes at that.
"You and Bella, the twin danger magnets." I giggled at his joke as we got closer to the high school.
"Bella is coming today by the way."
"Well, I look forward to seeing her and not wanting to drain her dry."
"I'm sure you do." We talked mindlessly about things for the rest of the car ride until we got to the school. People were already being seated on the fields' bleachers when we arrived. I grabbed my cap and gown from the trunk and waved as I saw Bella and Garrett sitting in the front row.
"What did you do?" I jumped as I heard the voice next to me and turned to see Edward behind me. He grabbed ahold of my arm and dragged me into the school, away from everyone else. I knew right away I was in trouble as there was no way Klaus was here yet and Jasper had walked off to find Alice. "Bella is here with that beast on her arm! You are the only one who would do something so stupid as to invite them here!"
"I wanted my best friend to be here for my graduation, I-" I was cut off by being shoved back into the wall behind me, cracking my head against the cement and immediately getting light headed. "Edward, please I-"
"Shut Up!" He shouted, smacking me across the face, making my head snap to the side. "Now I have to put up with watching the girl I love walking around with another man and know that she's given herself to that monster." I opened my mouth to reply and tell the truth about having given myself away too but he spoke first. "The only reason you're still alive is your purity. I won't have anything less than a virgin when I mate with you, which is going to be today. You and I are getting married right after graduation, congratulations Y/n, it's your wedding day." I was completely frozen at this point but I knew I needed to do something soon. I ran down the hallway to my locker and grabbed my makeup bag that I kept here, running back to the bathroom and expertly covering my black and blue nose after cleaning off the blood. Thankfully the back of my head isn't bleeding but I'm definitely going to need Nik's blood when this graduation is over. I tossed the makeup bag into the trash, knowing I wasn't coming back to this place for shit and stumbled out to find my seat. I could see Bella looking at me worriedly along with Garrett and I knew if she could tell something was wrong then where ever Nik was he sure as hell could too. I dizzily sat through all the speeches and somehow got the strength to stand and walk across the stage to get my diploma before falling back into my seat. By the time graduation was over I felt like I was going to die but I pushed myself to get up and make it over to Bella before Edward made it to me.
"Hey Bells, how are you?" She hugged me to her immediately, looking slightly on edge around so many people but quickly got over it.
"I'm great. Happy, finally...how are you?" I smiled.
"About to be a lot better. You're coming over for a while right?" Garrett and she looked at one another. "Trust me, you're not going to want to miss this." They looked confused but I pointed at my head and they immediately understood that I didn't want Edward knowing.
"Yeah, we'll head there now." I smiled, hugging Garrett slightly and feeling a burning coming from my mark making me acknowledge the fact that Nik didn't like me hugging Garrett. I waved before making my way to Jasper's car, only to have my arm grabbed.
"Where are you going love?" I cringed as he called me that, he never called me that.
"Don't call me that Edward." I insisted, making several students look at us. "You know I don't like that nickname...babe." I cringed again. "I'm riding home with Jasper-"
"I told Carlisle to meet us at our field to ordain us, Esme is going to be the witness, get into my car." He growled and I felt scared but it immediately disappeared as my mark began to burn again.
"You can tell Carlisle that if we're getting married it will be at home with our family, where my best friends can be there, and thank you for the offer but I will ride with Jasper. I'll see you at home Edward." I said it all loudly enough that plenty of people heard, therefor he couldn't just drag me to his car and he knew it. I knew there were bruises on my arm as I got into the passenger seat of Jaspers car. Jasper got in not a moment later and looked at me concerned. "What?" I asked and he looked at me like I was an idiot.
"Are you alright? Where is Nik, I thought he would-"
"Home Jasper. Home." He nodded, starting the car and driving off. By the time we got there everyone else was already there and waiting in the living room. I wiped the makeup off in the mirror and heard Jasper growling immediately. "Nik?" I questioned as we got out and I felt calm, comforted, knowing it was okay and I was safe as I walked inside with Jasper.
"There she is, I poured you a drink to celebrate love, careful though, you know how you get with alcohol." I knew he had drugged it, he's done it 100 other times, so this time I decided not to drink it.
"Yes Edward, I do know how I get. Especially 2 days ago over drinks with one of Caroline's friends. He bought me a few drinks and we slept together." I admitted, putting the glass on the table, seeing everyone's shocked faces. "It was amazing, really, even better the next day completely sober." There was an audible silence in the room, the entire family now listening intently as well as Bella and Garrett who were both grinning at me. "I'm sure it'll be just as great later tonight when I'm finally rid of you." He wanted to hurt me, I know he did but he wouldn't dare strike me with Jasper and Emmett around.
"Y/n, I'm hurt that you would do that to me but I'm sure we can talk this out and move passed it-"
"I don't want to move passed it, I don't want to be with you, hell will freeze over before I will marry you, in fact just being in the same room as you makes me physically ill and I think it's time I tell everyone in this room the truth. I don't love Edward, never have, never will. He's been lying to all of you about me just like he lied about Bella."
Everyone in the room snarled besides Carlisle and Esme. "You remember what I told you I would do to you if you ever did this again kid?" Garrett snarled at him.
"Oh, It won't only be Edward getting hurt today, Garrett. Carlisle, Esme, would you like to tell everyone what's been going on in your home?" They looked at me puzzled but I think they both knew there was no escaping this. "Jasper, Emmett, I lied to you both. Every time I told you I was fine, every time I was hurt and I told you I was just clumsy. Edward has been beating me almost daily since the day Bella left." Emmett went to lunge at him but was caught by Rose who seemed to want to hear the rest. Edward tried to go for the door but Jasper and Alice blocked their exit, Rose and Emmett moving to the other so no one could leave while Bella and Garrett moved to my sides so no one could harm me while I continued. "Edward told Carlisle I was 'difficult' so he allowed him to do whatever he had to, to turn me into the perfect obedient mate. Edward was planning to take me away after graduation and force me to marry him, force me to mate with him so there would be no way I could ever leave him, he just didn't know he was a day too late. Emmett, Jazz, every night I begged you to stay with me, not to leave to hunt, to leave me alone in a house with Edward, it wasn't because you kept the nightmares away, it was because I was terrified he would get it into his head one day to force me to mate with him when no one was there to stop him...I was terrified to go to sleep at night, you were the only people in the world who made me feel safe." My mark was practically on fire at this point and I knew Nik was restraining himself from coming in here, wanting me to get it all out while they were still listening. "I want to thank you guys for that, you got me to this point and now I don't have to be scared anymore."
"This doesn't change anything, you still need to be turned and I'll still claim you as my mate when you are. What did this little temper tantrum get you?" Edward laughed.
"Your attention, you all to listen to me for once, just once, before I let my mate kill you." Everyone in the room except Jasper was now confused and looking at me until the front door slammed open. I saw Jasper flinch and I knew he could feel how intense Nik's anger truly was as he walked up the stairs and turned the corner, coming into everyone's view. Carlisle gasped, though he was the only one who seemed to know who Nik really was, Edward gasping as he read Carlisle's mind.
"Do you feel better love? Getting it off your chest must have helped quite a bit." I nodded slowly, careful not to jostle my aching head. Nik took my face into his hands, seeing the bruise, feeling this bump on the back on my head and sighing, letting his fangs grow out and biting into his hand. Rose, Esme, Alice, Bella and Emmett gasped, not knowing there was another kind of vampire in the world though Garrett now looked a lot more on alert, holding Bella behind him, not like he was ready to fight but like he was ready to flee. I took his injured hand into my mouth and drank slowly, letting my injuries heal before everyone's eyes. "For those of you who don't know my name is Niklaus Mikaelson. Most people call me Klaus now a days. I am of the original family, one of the first vampires to walk the earth 1000 years ago." No one spoke, no one moved, everyone was trying to figure out who was in trouble and who wasn't. "The only people I'm here to harm are Edward, Carlisle and Esme, everyone else can calm down." They visually did. "Everyone else was a friend to my mate when she needed it and I thank you all for that, especially Jasper and Emmett. If you ever need anything, I owe you." They nodded. "You however, you're going to die today." Edward had been dragged over to sit beside Carlisle and Esme on the couch. "You I have no real issue with except your gross tolerance of the awful things done to someone you considered your child." He spoke to Esme. "However you did not hurt her yourself, therefore I have no reason to make you suffer." As he finished his sentence her head was rolling across the floor and Carlisle began screaming. "You allowed your son...in fact, encouraged your son to hurt my mate...why? That's all I want to know, why did you sit by and watch her suffer?"
"Edward wanted her, I told him he could have whoever and whatever he wanted when I changed him, that's why he stayed with me at first, then Esme wanted a son, I gave him whatever he wanted so he wouldn't leave and break her heart. What would you do for your mates happiness?" He snarled but Nik laughed.
"Anything, but you see, the difference between us is my mate wouldn't let someone else hurt so that she could have what she wanted. She's a good person, I'm not, but she is. And I will never let anyone hurt her, that is my promise to her." Nik took a little longer with Carlisle, tearing all of his limbs off before finally removing his head. "Now you see, the thing is I don't want to know your reasons, they're probably crazy and deranged but there's one thing I do want, and that's to tell you that you lose." Edward growled loudly and I couldn't keep the smile from my face. "She wins, I win, and do you know what I won?" Nik paused, knowing exactly what was going to piss Edward off the most. "I won that perfect innocence you tried to preserve." Edwards eyes were practically on fire as Nik told him that. "She gave it to me happily, freely." Jasper grabbed Edward as he tried to jump at Nik, though my mate didn't even flinch.
"I'm confused, what did Edward want?" Emmett asked and I rolled my eyes.
"Edward told me about how he was engaged before he got sick as a human, the women cheated on him and gave herself to his friend before their wedding day, the day before their wedding was the day he went into the hospital." I explained. "He was obsessed with having a girl who was completely his, innocent and pure, and it is truly an obsession. I told Nik, I wasn't even allowed to touch myself. The fact that I'm Nik's makes it even harder for Edward I suppose, and makes Nik's ego even larger."
"If that's possible." Bella spoke to me and I laughed, high fiving her.
"I'm right here love." I shrugged. "Garrett, would you like to take some shots before I end him?" Garrett jumped up, fully prepared to give Edward the beating of his life for hurting his mate. "Feeling better love?" I nodded, leaning into Nik contently about to press my lips to his when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. "What is it?"
"Pity it has to go to waste." The archway that had been for the wedding I was supposed to be a part of today was decorated with white flowers and ribbon. "Esme did a nice job, it's pretty."
"Well...I suppose we don't have to let it go to waste..." I looked up at Nik who was smirking down at me, pulling a ring off of his hand and looking to me. "You can pick one you like later...what do you say?" I was stunned at his forwardness but figured I shouldn't be.
"You want to get married, right now?" Nik nodded and I grinned. "Jasper, you got ordained for Garrett and Bella's wedding right?" Jasper looked up from where Garrett was beating Edward with his own foot and nodded.
"Yes, it's good for 10 years, why?" I looked up at Nik, content with how my life had changed in only 2 days.
"What do you say love?"
"I do."
A while ago you wrote older jily telling Sirius about their 2nd and very unexpected pregnancy. As it was on fool day Sirius didn't believe them.
Could you write a sequel with Sirius understanding it's not a joke? (If you think that a caustic remus should be a witness of this all, i wouldn't mind😁😘)
For you, Zin , hope you enjoy this pure *chaos* down here❤️ (first part)
***
With a flick of his wand, James sends all the dishes to the sink. "I'll take care of them in the morning," he promises.
Lily nods lazily; she stands up, moving to the liquor cabinet. James beats her to it, waving her to sit again. She almost laughs; hopefully, in a few days, his overprotective care will subdue.
In front of her, Tonks—well, Lupin, technically, but Lily still sees her as Tonks—winks at her.
"This one was the same," she says, nudging her husband. "Usually made a mess because he didn't want me to do anything."
"You were nine-months long, it didn't seem natural that you could move at all."
"I couldn't be more clumsy than I usually am—I nearly broke your front vase, Lily, sorry."
James chuckles. "It was a gift from Sirius, we wouldn't mind."
The man in question lifts his eyebrows. "You said you had loved it."
"No, what I said is that I could see you loved going for shopping in IKEA."
"I'm man of good taste."
"I find that hard to believe—how is the refurbishment of Grimmauld's Place?"
"That place improved a lot since I took down my dear mother's portrait."
"You mean since we took it down—two hours worthy of charms and I didn't get offered any beverage—"
"Speaking of," Lily begins, deciding that interrupting them is the best course; it's late after all. "Weren't you going to offer our guests a last drink?"
James flushes. "I don't think Sirius can be considered a guest anymore. He's part of the furniture by now."
"The nicest furniture," Sirius agrees, unashamed, accepting the glass with liquor that James offers him. He tastes the drink, then looks at James finishes serving Remus and Tonks, before closing the liquor bottle. "You forgot yours."
"Oh, I'm not drinking. Solidarity and all." He winks at Lily, who blows him a kiss in answer.
"Not drinking? Lily needs her sleeping juice."
"I do not," Lily says dignifiedly. "And I should drink in my current state."
Sirius rolls his eyes. "Are you two still keeping that joke?"
"What joke?" Tonks asks, curious.
Lily sighs. "Dear Padfoot is under the impression I'm not really pregnant."
"You cannot be pregnant," declares Sirius, as if it's obvious. Tonks snorts.
"Well, for the things I've unfortunately witnessed between them, I'd say she can be pregnant, no question."
"Yeah." James holds the back of his neck, his cheeks red. "Sorry about that, we thought we had locked the door—"
Remus laughs heartily. "That's how you know you are part of the family," he assures Tonks. "It's a tradition to catch them...ah... making babies, I guess."
"To be fair, it only happened twice," Lily notes.
"People catching you two or the babies?"
Lily nods gravely. "If I had a child for every time someone caught us, we could have our own Quidditch team by now."
"Your own Potter's Playground," sniggers Sirius. Then he throws a reproachful glance at Remus and Tonks. "Since when are you two into this prank?"
Remus smiles innocently. "Since James promised me I would be godfather—mind you, I had to wait twenty years—"
"I am the godfather!"
"You can be Uncle Padfoot now," Remus suggests, the corners of his mouth twitching.
"No one ever called me uncle—James! I'm okay with your fake pregnancy, but fake uncle is too far."
"Sirius," Lily insists. "It's not fake. I'm three months pregnant now."
Sirius blinks; twice. "You cannot be," he says reasonably. "I would have noticed it."
"Is it?"
"I'm an Auror."
"A lousy one," Tonks teases. "Let's see—there's that glowing aura, James hasn't let her hold anything heavier than a fork, Lily didn't drink wine the whole dinner—"
"And," Remus adds, "there's the fact that she told us. To use your Auror terms, she confessed her crime."
"Repeatedly," James whispers; Sirius ignores him. He kneels suddenly as if the weight of his body is too much, and he stares at James and Lily with awe.
"Pregnant—you two are really...?" They nod. "There is another Potter coming?" Another nod. Sirius' eyes widen. "Good Godric, I can't believe, I... I am going to be a godfather again!"
"Er..."
"Not now," Lily whispers to her husband, patting Sirius' head; he is actually crying. "We have six months to get him used to the idea."
To say she felt different was a definitely a statement, and to say that each text message she sent felt like a love letter would be a bit dramatic.
But it was true, you explained to your cat. Poppy sitting pretty in the kitchen windowsill while you moved your hands around like a crazed woman each day something Ellie said would get you excited.
Ellie wasn't like the other girls you'd talked to, and she sure wasn't like Anya who still drunk texted you from time to time which you promptly ignored and then forgot about.
Focusing your energy elsewhere, elsewhere being Ellie and Poppy who did not care about you nor the girl you squealed about each day while practically hugging your phone.
And now the day came, the day you'd set up a real date with the practical stranger, hoping that you weren't psyching yourself up again all for it too fall through the floor like it usually did.
She was straight, or she was taken. She didn't want you or she wanted you so bad but wanted that other girl too.
It was always something, but this time was different. You could feel it.
"Finally." You heard her voice as you stepped up towards her table outside the restaurant, rolling your eyes playfully while hooking your purse on your chair. "Oh shut it, I already told you why I'm running behind."
You sat across from her, hearing her all too familiar chuckles.
"Yeah, yeah. Cat's are evil, I'm telling you." "You don't know Poppy, she's an old soul, she has attachment issues."
You felt like you had the first night you met her, butterflies tickling your insides while with each breath you felt the air escaping you. It was as if she was stealing it away.
"I forgive you.. this time." She shrugged, leaning back in the chair, her hands resting between her legs on her thighs. "I'd hate to have you mad at me.." You rested your head on your palm, crossing your legs in front of you as you met her darkened green eyes.
"..but I'd bet you'd love it. Especially finding ways to get rid of it." "If it was anything like the first time then yeah, and I wasn't even mad then." You felt yourself going hot, instead focusing away on a waiter walking up to the table with a notepad in hand, scribbling a number down.
"Decide what you guys want to drink?" "Coke." Ellie replied without tearing her eyes away from you, making you nervous under her stare.
"Um.. sorry I'll have a mimosa." "You got it." He stared at you for a second longer before walking off leaving you both to yourselves once more.
"How's work been?" You then asked, turning your head to face her once more while a lopsided smirk displayed itself on her lips. "Boring. Jesse's been getting all good clients."
"What do you get the valley girls wanting matching cherry tattoos? Or maybe the dicks that want their dicks done."
Ellie snorted messing with the fork on the table while shrugging.
"Something like that. What about you?" "It's been slow, since you payed me the little visit in my office." Your phone buzzed but you ignored it, continuing on. "Besides that... nothing much." "Oh c'mon, someone like you can't have that boring of a life."
You giggled with a shrug seeing from the corner of your eye a waiter walking towards your table, setting your drinks in front of you.
"I dunno, I've been focusing most of my time to a few certain people." You thanked the waiter, taking a drink of your beverage. "Decide what you want to eat?"
You knew that voice anywhere, glancing up to meet your ex's eyes, throwing an awkward smile on your face last minute. Swallowing harshly while you nodded.
"Yeah, actually. Right?" You turned to Ellie wanting to avoid Anya's face as much as possible while Ellie's eyes went a bit wide nodding, confused as hell it would've made you laugh if you weren't about to fall off your chair.
"Veggie burgers, for me." "Sounds like you, Y/n." You wanted to puke, sending her another sharp smile. "You guys know each other?" Ellie then questioned, biting her lip while Anya spoke for you.
"Yeah, funny enough–" "Long time ago, friends." You shrugged, Ellie again looking at you awkwardly while Anya glared you down.
Ellie said her order, glancing back to you every now and again. Your legs vibrating up and down while you stared straight ahead and prayed that she'd just go away already, and finally she did.
"Everything alright?" Ellie laughed a bit, keeping it light hearted while you nodded. "Yeah, all good over here. Just wasn't expecting to see her." You laughed. "But back onto you.. what do like to do besides go to lesbian bars?" Again Ellie laughed, taking a drink of her soda.
"I draw, obviously." She could've smacked herself in the face for that one, but you giggled getting a grin out of her. "I like to play.. the guitar?" "Is that a question or a statement?"
From the corner of your eye Anya stood at another table, but was looking over at you. Yet you refused to give her your eyes, nodding as Ellie continued.
"Statement. Shit, sorry.. just.." "You're fine. Did you not see me five minutes ago?" You chuckled, adjusting your dress before again resting your chin in your palm. "Yeah I play, my foster dad taught me." "Aw, that was sweet of him." "Yeah he's great. Joel's a good guy." "You still live with him?"
She shook her head, looking down at her hands while playing with them.
"No, he adopted me after a shit ton of shit," She laughed. "but I moved out last year."
You nodded with a hum, your eyes unintentionally glancing away seeing Anya once more at another table. But with her gaze set on you.
"He sounds amazing." You then said, turning back to her. "What about you?" She then changed the subject, leaning back once more.
You took a breath.
"They're alright." You shrugged. "Me and my mom don't really get along but for the most part they're pretty cool. I have a few siblings but that's about it." "Siblings?" You nodded, sipping your drink seeing Anya disappear into the restaurant.
"A sister and a brother. Both older and upstate. But we text and call each other all the time. It's like we're all teenagers still living in the rooms beside each other."
Ellie stuck her bottom lip out, humming. "I'm guessing you're an only child?" "That obvious?" "A little, just the personality gives it away, but only a little." You referenced it with your hand, hoving the pads of your fingers over each other.
"So it's just you and Poppy in the city?" "Yep." You said popping the 'p' with a grin. "She was gift, from my grandma before she passed. My grandma's favorite flower was Poppies, we agreed on the name together before.." "Maybe she really is an old soul."
Ellie winked while you gave her a soft smile, sitting up a bit at that.
"That's a sweet way to think about it. Do you have any pets?" "Not in my apartment. Joel has a dog though, he's old but he's awesome."
Anya then appeared at the table as if she teleported there, just as you were beginning to forget about it all, about her. Sinking back into Ellie's sweet voice that seemed to get excited at the idea of her old pet.
But thus it was interrupted by the she-devil herself.
"Here's your food." "Thanks." You replied sharply with not a care of your tone getting a glance from the girl across from you. "You're welcome Y/n/n." You stared forward at your plate, Ellie thanking her before she walked off.
"You sure she's an old friend?" "I'm not letting her ruin the date, eat and tell me about the dog." You snatched a fry from your plate, hearing Ellie laugh harder then she had the entire time you knew her.
"His name is Vegas." "Vegas?" You smiled. "Yeah, fits him. Trust me." "Will do, I'm guessing he's sweet though." "Very, has trouble getting up and down stairs though so Joel started sleeping on the couch. It's getting closer though.."
"Aw I'm sorry." She moved her shoulders. "Comes with life." "You've got quite the view on death, don't you?" "Just seen a some of it..." You nodded quietly, choosing your next few words. "If it helps.. so have I?"
Taking a few bites of your food, a comfortable silence around you both, allowing you to enjoy your food. Ellie watching you for a moment, deciding if she was going to bring it up, until she made her choice.
"She's not an old friend is she?" You took in a deep breath, opening your mouth but nothing came out. You could see the regret in Ellie's eyes from even asking the question, your phone buzzing once more.
"Hold that question for a sec." You smiled, trying to seem like you were as disheveled and uncomfortable as you were. Turning your screen on to see a few messages from the waitress herself, asking if it was you and who is she. The last being a teasing message poking fun at your taste in women.
"She's an ex. That's all." You said, practically shoving the phone into your back and turning to your alcoholic drink, avoiding Ellie's stare the entire time. "Not a fun one either, so no we are far from friends. But please, just let's get back to you or me. Anything but her."
Ellie wasn't sure though, awkwardly moving her jaw around while trying to push down her unsure feelings. She liked, she did, but your mind was far from her now.
"You alright?" Ellie forced herself to ask, feeling your leg bouncing up and down at your nervous picking at your nails. "Fine, I'm fine. Do you write songs?" "Sometimes. When I'm bored enough, or have good inspiration." You continued to eat while she talked, nodding to her words.
"You should come in for a tattoo." "Trust me I'd love to see you in your element, because fuck that just sounds hot," You smirked, seeing a little blush appear on her freckled cheeks while she looked away, "but a little needle being on my skin for more than a few seconds, yeah I'm opting out for now."
"Well, if you work up the courage." "You'll be the first I call. Have you thought about extending your career with art?" Ellie thought for a second, looking past you, eyes then shooting back to yours. "No, no probably not but when I was a kid I wanted to be an astronaut."
She smiled when you began to laugh, then deciding to cover your mouth.
"Sorry, that's adorable, reminds me of my brother. Would you ever go down that path?" "Maybe not now," She shook her head, matching your giggles, "but who knows, right?" "I wanted to be a writer as a kid, still now, working on my book and then the firm. I guess it was always meant to be."
"Guess so, I'd like to read some of that writing." "Hm, well you're making a great case for yourself. None of my friends are allowed too, but your... different?" "Is that so–"
"Would you like the check?"
You could've jumped, and Ellie nearly did, looking to your side as Anya gave you the fakest expression she could probably have mustered in that moment. And you've seen the girl be fake before.
"I guess?" Ellie said quietly looking at you while trying not to break out in laughter, but you were completely frozen, staring down at the table again.
"Alright, be back babe. Sorry, I mean Y/n." Anya snickered, like it was some sort of bad joke her date made and she wanted to pretend she liked them until it was over. "Yeah."
"You know, the food isn't bad here. The staff is terrible though." "I agree." You then spoke softly, trying to pull a happy face when you let her suck you back in. "Maybe next time we stick to an apartment?"
She could tell you perked up at the idea of a 'next time', a genuine beam of energy coming out when you spoke again.
"Poppy would love to meet you? Besides, maybe you can see more than just my bedroom?" "Don't hate the idea. But I did clean recently."
Her eyes then moved behind you once more, a nervous expression crossing her face and flooding her eyes.
"Everything alright?" You grabbed her hand, running your thumb along it gaining her attention before it hit you and you pulled away. "Sorry." "No you're fine.. fuck." She whispered under her breath, rubbing her fingers along her lips.
"What's your favorite season?" She could've replayed the way your face changed a million times over, like a confused puppy before you piped up once more.
"Winter, or fall, I do really like fall. Fires and hot chocolate. Cuddling. It's perfect." You shrugged excitedly, "yours?" "Fall, same reasons too." Her eyes went right passed you once more before Anya again teleported beside the table with the check in hand.
"Here–" Ellie took it from her and pulled her wallet out from her pocket. "Hey wait, we can split." "I got it, don't worry about it." "Ellie!" She smirked at you before shoving her card in the pocket of the check and signing the receipt.
"I said it's fine." She handed it back to Anya who couldn't help but glare at the woman across from you. "Besides, makes up for the terrible service." Anya stood there, almost stupidly while watching Elie hand her back the little black book, your ex walking off without another word.
"Thank you.. for the great date and for paying." "Eh, had to make it up for the shitty surprise you got."
Then, once more, she looked behind you, finally getting you to turn around.
"Hey, what about color?" But you didn't answer, seeing a woman sitting at the table with a familiar face. The girl who'd come to your office with Ellie, and a few others at a table.
But the woman wasn't looking at them, she was now looking at you after she'd been looking at Ellie.
"Pink, or brown. I like off-white too though." You then replied, turning back to her. "And you?" "Green." You began grabbing your bag, placing it on your shoulder while you both stood up awkwardly from the table.
"You want me to walk you home?" You grinned at her, nodding a bit. "If you'd like? And wouldn't mind?" "Shit, farthest from minding at this point." Ellie went to take your hand though it wasn't long lasting.
"So–" "Ellie!" The girl you'd made eye contact with earlier skipped over, brushing passed you in order to hug your date. Ellie seeming taken aback and a bit uncomfortable at the interaction.
"Hey Cat." She gritted her teeth and hugged her back, looking at you standing there trying not to look at them both for too long. Not wanting to seem invasive despite it being your date with her.
"I thought it was you! I wasn't sure though.. it was hard to see you.." She glanced at you yet didn't even care to introduce herself nor decide to turn to you at all. "Here's your card." Anya returned getting your attention while Ellie was handed back her card.
"I'll talk to you later Y/n/n." "What?" Ellie went to talk to you only for Cat to grab her arm, looking at you. "You're the girl Dina was talking about! Shit this is a date, isn't it?" Cat questioned, tilting her head like she was taunting you, but you weren't sure if she meant it that way.
"Sorry, I'm Cat, Ellie's ex-girlfriend. You've gotta be Y/n." "Yeah, actually. Nice to meet you–" "Awesome!" She then turned back to Ellie. "Come sit with us after you're done here."
You shifted uncomfortably, crossing your arms while looking to your date.
"Actually Cat–" "I've gotta go anyway, Poppy's waiting on me back home and besides, they're your friends." You gave her a reassuring smile before grabbing her upper arms and kissing her cheek.
"Just text me later, okay?" "Yeah sure, are you sure though?" Cat seemingly scoffed trying to pull her off towards the table.
"She doesn't need a knight in dull armor Ellie, she's got it." You laughed at the joke, giving Ellie a reassuring squeeze.
"All good, but I'm expecting a good conversation later." "Yeah, yeah of course."
And with that you walked off, hugging your arms as your dress blew in the wind. Your stomach finally dropping at the terrible date that had just took its course and for once you both shared a though.
That was awful. She thought.
"That was awful." You whispered
Chapter 5 - Day 5
"So, grim reapers can cook too? Let me add that to the list of random abilities you seem to possess," I said as I took in the array of food on the dining room table. Bacon, eggs, oatmeal. "You made pancakes too?"
"Actually, they're crepes." He seemed proud of himself, but also the slightest bit timid, like he wanted to make sure everything was to my liking. He stood in the entry way as I took a seat. I filled my plate with three glorious pieces of bacon, a hearty scoop of eggs and two of the crepes-not-pancakes.
"I gotta say," I said, as I shoveled a fork full of the stuff into my mouth. "Pancakes are better." I looked up, my cheeks stuffed with food. Timothee stood there, staring at me, a hint of a smile plastered on his face and I realized he looked more like he was lost in thought...and maybe admiring me. He quickly realized I noticed shook his head, as if erasing the expression from ever existing.
"Are you not gonna eat?" I asked, suddenly feeling embarrassed about the amount of food I had on my plate.
"I don't really need to eat," Timothee said, shrugging. "But I'll sit with you."
I watched him as he walked effortlessly to the table, if I didn't hear the slightest clack of his shoes on my hardwood floor, I would have assumed he was floating. He pulled out a chair and took a seat.
"Lemme guess, grim reapers feed off of a portion of the dead's souls, giving them sustenance until the next victim they reap passes?"
"Yes, actually."
My eyes snapped up, meeting his. There was a mixture of seriousness and amusement in them, and it was a mixture that made my stomach flip in a way that I wasn't expecting. This time I shook my head and scooped up the rest of my food with my fork.
"You're fucking weird, man. Speaking of, I've got work today and a date tomorrow, so would you mind keeping the gloomy stalker show to a minimum? I can't have another outburst like I did the other day. Josie is already sick of my shit as it is."
When he didn't respond I looked back over at him. His hands were in white knuckled fists on the table, if he were holding a glass, I'm sure it would have shattered into a million pieces. His dark hair curled over his eyes, so this time I couldn't make out their demeanor, though if it matched his fists, it wasn't a good sign.
"A date? Really Y/n?" Timothee finally said.
"Uhm, yeah? Why is there some rule that bars me from going on a date before I die?"
"No, but maybe I should make one," he said under his breath.
"What was that?" I asked, hearing every word he'd said. Was he jealous? All he was supposed to be here for was collecting my soul.
"Nothing. Is this date with a boyfriend?"
"Not that it's any of your business," I said even though the thought of Tristan and I being more than just friends almost made my breakfast come back up. "He's an old friend that's liked me for at least a decade. Last week, before you showed up, I agreed to give him a chance over dinner and a movie."
"So, there's no boyfriend?"
"Why do you care?" I pretended to be annoyed.
He smirked at my tone, and even though the fact that he seemed so interested in my love life, or lack thereof, should have bothered me, it did the exact opposite.
"I don't. It's just that sometimes the goodbyes are messy when there's a lover involved, so you might not want to make him any promises on this 'date'." He put the last word in finger quotes.
The rest of that day went by shockingly quick and uneventful, though Timothee couldn't resist a casual jump scare or two. He'd walk behind me, unknown to anyone else and run a finger across the back of my neck or blow into my ear. Each tease made me want him to push me against a wall again, run his nose against my neck and breath my 'underworldly' scent in. And weirdly enough, I started to like the sound of that.
Darling, you smell like the underworld.
Day 5
I slid on my strappy black dress, the one I pretty much reserved for dates, disappointed that Timothee wasn't around to see it on me. I hadn't seen much of him, which was weird considering I couldn't get rid of him lately. I tried to push away that feeling. The feeling of missing someone you have no right to. The empty chest feeling that is only cured by one person's presence.
The only thing I didn't like about that dress was how much it showed. It wasn't as revealing as it could be, but it still showed the one part of me I always tried to cover. My collar bones. It wasn't that they were bad, they were actually quite nice. It was the dark, swirling birthmark staining my skin on my left collar bone. I'd tried everything from makeup and concealers, that eventually just melted off of it. To removal that even lasers couldn't touch. It was just...a part of me. Every time I wore this dress, I watched as my date's eyes travel down to it. Normally, I'd wear a cardigan to cover it up, but with mine and Tristan's fifteen years of friendship, he saw it before.
I made my way to the semi-fancy Italian restaurant, already limping in the heels I shouldn't have worn. It wasn't until I walked inside and met Tristan at the table, he already reserved for us, that Timothee took a seat. Right next to Tristan. I wasn't unaware to Timothee's eyes sweeping over my body. The last few days he'd only seen me in casual clothes, nothing this fancy. Then I saw it. His eyes locked on my birthmark.
I shot him a look, the irritation evident in my eyes and face. Tristan looked in the direction of Timothee, a confused look on his face, but, of course, couldn't see him. Tritan looked around the room, wondering who I could be giving this look of disdain to. Little did he know he was sitting right next to him.
"Thanks for giving me this chance," Tristain said.
I hid my cringe. Why did he make it seem like he was interviewing for a job.
"We've been friends forever, Tris, why wouldn't I give you a chance."
Beside Tristan, Timothee rolled his eyes. He leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms, watching me in amusement.
Tristan perked up at my answer, hope filling his eyes. Timothee pushed out his bottom lip into a pout shook his head in mock sadness. Then I remembered what he said the day before. Don't make any promises. So instead, I just smiled at him.
We placed our orders and drank our drinks awkwardly while we waited. I hated how strange this felt, even if Timothee wasn't sitting in between us, Tristan and I had dinner together many times, why did he have to make something as causal as eating food together feel so different this time.
"So, y/n," Tristan said, breaking my train of thought. "I've been thinking and, I really think you should open up a bit."
Timothee made a face of mock shock and put an index finger to his mouth in thought.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, not able to hide the slight attitude brewing inside of me.
"It means I know you like me. And for some reason you won't let me in. So, I think tonight is the night that that happens."
"Let you in? Wha the fu-"
Sensing the mood, the waiter approached with our plates and politely placed them in front of us and walked away without asking any questions.
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?" I finished my sentence.
"It means that this is the way the rest of tonight is going to go: we're going to eat this food, and I'm going to pay for it. Then we're going to go to the movie you picked out at 8, which I am also paying for, then you're going to take me to your house and we're going to do what I say from that point on."
I was shocked into silence, my mouth hanging open in disbelief. I'd known Tristan for fifteen years and he'd never once acted this way. I looked over at Timothee and I almost wished I hadn't. His face was almost dark with rage. His eyes normally a greenish-blue color was now completely black. His furrowed and close to his eyes and he worked his jaw in a way that I'd only seen people do before a fight. Then, he stood up, the chair behind him fell to the ground causing Tristan and a few people in the surrounding area to gasp. Our waiter came over and picked up the chair and whispered a polite and confused "I'm sorry." Timothee made his way to the front of the restaurant and slid out of the door once a busboy held it open for a older couple to come in. And suddenly, I felt a lot less safe without him sitting at the table with me. This new side of Tristan seemed sinister.
Tristan shoveled a ravioli into his mouth, glaring at me. "Are you not going to eat?"
"I'm not hungry," I said through my teeth.
The door opened again, and I heard the sound of a familiar voice. I turned around and there he was, Timothee. My grim reaper. I didn't hide the smile on my face, I couldn't help it. This time it was clear everyone in the room could see him. I watched as he spoke in a whisper to the busboy at the door. Timothee glanced in my direction and winked. Then the busboy looked over at us and nodded. Instant relief flooded my entire being.
I wasn't sure how he was able to change so quickly, but he was now wearing a very expensive looking suit, all black with small accents of red and a pin attached to the collar that was none other than a scythe. The entire restaurant quieted and watched as he walked, in seemingly slow motion, to our table. All eyes, including mine and including Tristan's were on him. The busboy followed behind and quickly pulled out the chair that Timothee was sitting in moments before.
"Y/n," Timothee greeted me, pulling my hand into his and kissing the top of it. Already, I felt my core turn molten. His lips felt like fire and ice on my skin.
"Who is this man?" Tristain said, disgusted.
"You must be Tristain," Timothee said extending a hand. When Tristain didn't take it, he elegantly curled his fingers into a first. "I'd say it's a pleasure to meet you, but it's unfortunately the exact opposite. Tell me, does it bring you pleasure to try and take advantage of women, or do you do it because your dick is small?"
I snorted and spat out some of my drink. I could see Timothe's smirk forming along his profile.
"Excuse you?"
"What do they call that these days? Small dick energy?"
I covered my mouth with my palm, resisting the urge to laugh.
"Who are you?"
"I'm a...close friend of y/n's." Timothee said, putting an emphasis on the word close that made me bite my lip.
"Wow, I've waited all this time for you to give me a chance y/n and you just take in some twink off the street?"
"Tristain!"
Timothee shrugged, "I've been called worse." Then he leaned in closer, luckily the rest of the restaurant went back to their food and conversations. "Allow me to tell you how the rest of tonight is going to go..." Timothee's gaze hardened and instantly Tristan's eyes glossed over, his mouth hung open, and he was transfixed on Timothee, as if he was being hypnotized. "You're going to get up from here and you're going to leave."
"I was just about to leave, yeah," Tristan said calmly.
"And when you leave, you will not contact y/n again."
"Who?"
"Good, good," Timothee praised and selfishly I wished it was me he was praising instead. Then, he took a fistful of Tristans shirt and pulled him closer, "and if you do," Timothee spoke so softly I could barely hear what he said. "I will kill you myself. And trust me, you don't want to see what kind of death a reaper is capable of."
Tristan nodded and stood up and waved. "Enjoy your meal," he said as he made his way to the door. I watched until he left, waited a few minutes to be sure he wouldn't reappear and turned back around. Timothee was already sitting in his seat.
"Will he be, okay?" I asked.
"You still care about that?"
"I mean I don't want him to die on the way home. He seemed out of it."
"Unfortunately, he'll be fine."
The waiter stopped by and took away Tristan's plate. Timothee nodded politely and focused back on me.
"You don't own me you know," I said, in a voice that should have sounded headstrong but was anything but. As time went on it seemed more and more to me like that's exactly what I wanted. "You're just here to collect my soul."
"Technically, I do. I am sent here to watch you, look over you until your time is up. I am meant to protect you. Though, this situation is unlike one I have ever encountered."
"How do you mean?" I asked.
"You should eat," Timothee said, changing the subject. "Eat your dinner, and I'll take you to that movie."
"Okay, but you have to keep talking."
Timothee nodded. Only resuming the conversation once I scooped a bite of lasagna into my mouth.
"Most of the souls, at least everyone I've collected have not been able to see me. I wasn't expecting it to have this type of effect on me."
I swallowed my lasagna hard as he said the words.
"I don't own you. No," he started, then reached out and brushed my hair away from my collar bone. He let his finger graze my birthmark. I shudderd at the touch. "But I'd like to. Very much."
Fuck.
He scooted up, his chest flush against his side of the table and one of knees made their way in between my legs. He dropped a long arm beneath the table and slid his palm up my leg. I dropped my fork. "I wish I could be the blood that traveled through your veins, the air that you breath into your lungs." His index finger grazed my core through my panties and I jumped, hypersensitive to the touch. My plate clanging against the table, my glass tipping over.
"Can we go?" I pleaded.
"Eat your food. All of it."
I started to protest.
"Or do I need to feed it to you?"
I shoveled in the rest of my lasagna and downed my entire diet coke. My skin tingling as Timothee gave me small touches under the table. We walked out moments later, my knees weak. Timothee laced an arm around my waist, holding my up and against him. His temperature freezing against my hot skin. We began walking in the direction of the movie theater, but somehow between soft touches and him pressing his nose into my hair we strayed off the path.
"Look!" I said, pointing to a cemetery. "Let's go in there."
"What about your movie," Timothee called after me.
"It's already 8:35, it's already started."
"I loathe cemeteries," Timothee groaned.
"What!?" I pulled his cold hand into mine and drug him into the foggy gates of the local cemetery. "A grim reaper scared of a graveyard!? This is where the bodies of all those souls you take go!"
"I didn't say I was scared. I just don't like them."
"Why?" I teased. It was getting dark, the cemetery would close soon, but for some reason I felt compelled to go in there. Like I needed to be there. "If you're scared say you're scared." I climbed upon a stone bench next to a large oak tree. Timothee stood in front of me and for the first time I was eye level with him. Then it hit me. "I've got eight days to live." I said it out lout without even meaning to. "Eight days to live and...I've not even gotten the chance to live."
Timothee looked at me and maybe it was because we were eye level for the first time, but it seemed like he really saw me. "If it makes you feel any better," he said, taking my arms and draping them over his shoulders. He circled his around my waist, pulling my closer into him. He ducked his head slightly, running his nose along my chest, stopping at my birth mark. He kissed it lightly causing my back to arch. His touch there felt like dark magic and sin. "I wish it was anyone other than you."
"Why?"
"Because now that I know you exist, I don't want you to cease to."
And before his lips found mine, they hovered there, his cold breath swirling and mixing with my warm breath, becoming too intoxicating for me to pretend I didn't need him now. His lips skated across mine effortlessly, like a dance we'd practiced for eternity. My hands slid into his dark, curly hair. I wrapped my legs around his waist, earning a soft groan from him. He turned us around and sat on the bench. He kissed me like it was the first and last kiss he'd ever have. Like sadness and hope mixed together to form a melancholy war between life and death.
A kiss can change a human life. And that one did.
Voretober 19 - Replica
Length: 2100 words Vore type: M/M oral vore, willing prey Fandom: None Other info: furry robot pred, human prey Summary: There are certain benefits to befriending a mad* scientist Synth. And certain risks, but I'm sure it's fine. *Teq would surely argue that sanity is a meaningless concept to a robot, and therefore it cannot be lost (Synths are an open species created by Vader-San)
Sam blinked his eyes open; he was laying in some sort of cushioned tube, like the ones in Teq's lab. He tapped the glowing "exit" button and sat up, groggy. Around the tube was, well… Teq's lab. The practically second home of his Synth friend, the place was littered with tools, notes, and half-finished contraptions that it swore it had put in "the most efficient places possible." Today, the focus seemed to be around the biggest 3D printer Sam had ever seen, covered in papers with diagrams and measurements all over them.
Teq itself stood over its desk, presumably with even more complicated papers. [Oh, hello again Sam. Did you wake up well?] it asked, turning its head so its visor could "look" at him. Really, with its tail plugged into the wire hanging from the ceiling, Teq had seen Sam through every wall-mounted camera pointed near him, but he appreciated the familiar body language.
"Er, yeah, thanks for the makeshift bed, but I don't remember climbing in."
[Perfectly normal,] it replied, its electronic wink pulsing a mischievous yellow and blue, [seeing as you didn't.]
"Right, yeah, I remember some new scan you wanted to…" a yawn interrupted Sam, and he reached up in a big stretch, one that drew his attention to his outfit.
Or rather, his lack thereof.
"Teq, do you know why I'm naked?"
[Yes.]
Sam sighed. "Care to tell me?"
[Oh, absolutely!]
A few more seconds passed, and another sigh. "This stopped being funny the second time you did it."
The corners of the Synth's mouth pulled back in a grin, filled with its flat, blunt set of metal "teeth." [I wholeheartedly disagree! Buuuut it does wear thin quickly. Your clothes are folded over there,] it pointed towards a bench where, indeed, Sam's clothes sat, [but if everything goes well, you won't need them.]
"Uh-huh." Sam swung his legs out of the tube, grimaced when they touched the frigid floor, and reluctantly sat back down. "But I'll hear you out. What are you up to?"
[I've discovered a method to fork humans!] Teq said, its lights flashing like glittering gold. [Sinera contributed the magic part, since I am incapable of thaumic conductivity. Perhaps another day I will attempt to optimize away the safeguards she applied, but that requires many more tests.]
Sam rolled his eyes, smiling. "Is this leading up to a "I can't fork you if you're not naked" joke?"
Teq simply stuck out its metal, segmented tongue; Sam noticed that it was wetter than the Synth usually kept it. It crossed its arms and huffed, [well, not if you're going to take it away from me. I would like one more trial, however, before introducing a variable in participant.]
"Okay, so… forking is your "I'm being a funny computer" way of saying cloning, right? How many Sams are there running around right now?"
[One, if you count yourself.]
"Oh, so you failed, but you want to try again?"
Teq shook its head. [Every single trial has passed! It just… turns out having more than one active at a time causes problems. I won't elaborate.]
A sense of dread grew in Sam's chest. "So… so what happened to the others?"
[I ate them,] the Synth said simply, [accidentally scanning your browser history gave me a great idea, really, that reduces the net energy cost per test!]
"Am I-" Sam's breath caught in his throat, "- am I next?" He rose into a crouch, as though thinking he could run in a facility where the robot dragon controlled every machine and the doors.
[Ideally, yes, but you know how I am about consent forms for research participation.] Teq grabbed a few sheets of paper and flipped through them, likely more for dramatic effect than actually recalling information. [I was hoping for a nice, round 16, but if you would rather not, I can simply attempt to court a new subject. I'll keep you in the loop, of course.]
Sam shook his head and climbed out, gritting his teeth at the cold against his feet, and the distinct lack of anything keeping his body heat in. "Well, I'm glad to hear I can avoid you killing me by just telling you not to." He shivered. "Fuck, it's chilly in here."
[I have been keeping my internal spatial storage at 30 degrees Celsius,] the Synth offered, pointing one finger helpfully into its mouth, [and the path from intake to storage is of a similar temperature.]
Trying to keep his teeth from chattering, Sam stepped towards his clothes. "Is that supposed to convince me to let you eat me?"
[It was a convincing argument three times, though putting your clothes in your line of sight seems to have disrupted this trend.]
The man stopped and turned. "Three times? Wouldn't I remember?"
Teq stepped closer, but remained at a short distance. [Moreso than I anticipated, which is an annoyingly convincing argument towards the existence of souls - I might be out a few hundred bucks. But still, scarcely more than the character in that game you played last night remembered if you asked hir to use hir tail, penis, or mouth to eat your character.]
Sam nearly jumped with shock, but his blush meant his face, at least, didn't feel cold. "H-how did you-"
[Fifth trial, you used it as an analogy to your situation while sitting inside me.] It winked at him, the dotted oval briefly changing into a lit-up caret. [However, I only possess a mouth. Perhaps for later experiments or leisure…]
Sam crossed his arms, and walked up to it. "Fifteen times?" Teq nodded. "You're not telling me a lower number to trick me into agreeing to more?"
[Nor am I lying with a higher number to imply a greater confidence of success,] it agreed. [I chose this method of… duplicate prevention to increase the odds of your cooperation and to avoid a mess. I supect I will use its appeal to attract a new test subject after one final successful run.]
An uneasy look crossed the man's face. "I… hadn't thought of the "higher number" thing until you brought it up." He sighed, and looked at Teq's draconic face. "Please be honest again: did I enjoy being swallowed and, uh… whatever you did to me?"
[Yes, unless you lied to me about it. I did not see utility in attempting to discern that.] It looked away with its hand on its chin, as though thinking. [With the exception of an unfortunately uncomfortable entrance. If you decide to go one more time, I will eat you feet-first to prevent this.]
"…alright. Load up that consent doc, Teq."
[Thank you~!] it replied, with a small jingle. Its facial display showed a text document, and its upturned eyes soon faded from view. [You know the deal, read carefully, button at the bottom. Basically the same thing you've done for other experiments, just with a different procedure name.]
"Yeah, yeah…" Sam muttered, flicking his finger along the display. Text scrolled by far too fast to read, but at least it didn't take long to reach the indicated button. One tap later, and the document vanished, soon replaced by Teq's familiar eyes. "Okay, so now do I- gah!"
There was a clicking noise as Teq extended its tail, curled it behind Sam's legs and back, and then gently pushed the man back onto it. Sam immediately stiffened, anticipating a similar chill, but whatever Teq had done to keep its insides heated had somewhat extended to its tail - while definitely not warm by any measure, it was… better than room temperature. He was jolted out of his thoughts by a much greater heat around his feet and ankles. Looking down, Sam was greeted by the view of his synthetic friend's head by his knees, and the inside of its mouth visible in small gaps.
[Are you okay?] Teq asked. It took Sam a second to remember that, although the Synth usually moved its mouth while talking, it technically just used speakers. He nodded, and Teq's tail smoothly drifted closer, feeding more of his legs into the warm faux-throat. Once most of his thighs were gone, a quiet whirring accompanied a new sensation: like a massage chair, rolling pressure constantly pushed at his legs from all sides, coaxing him down.
When the heat of Teq's mouth and throat washed over his upper thighs and exposed balls, Sam flushed red and quickly covered himself with his hands. The Synth's eyes - and even its display background - tinted pink, and, teasing him, it remarked, [I guess I should ignore that rather than… encouraging you. Good to see you continue to enjoy this.] Its tail pushed him forward, and its throat changed from a gentle pull to more of a controlled slide.
With everything below his chest fully inside Teq's gullet or deeper, Sam realized he could kick around a little, and that it felt like paddling through a thick liquid. Teq offered no time to think about what that meant - not that Sam needed much - and the man soon found his world dark as the Synth shut its mouth past his head, while the bottom of its "stomach" soon forced his legs to curl up. Moments later, all of him was sitting in the strange, dark hot tub, with luckily enough room to keep his head above the liquid.
[How was it?]
"Very… relaxing," Sam decided, "although, I think I expected more of a swallowing motion than the constant slide."
[Interesting… I will keep that in mind when we do this in the future, assuming further successful tests.]
"When, not if?" He laughed, and tried to pat Teq's insides, but found that the liquid seemed thicker, and harder to move through. "Getting ahead of yourself, aren't you?"
[I have a measured 100% success rate at talking you down my throat,] it pointed out, [and with a similar frequency of arousal, I expect you to ask it of me, especially once the process is further refined. Plus, you may want better footage than security camera video.]
"…fair enough. I definitely want a copy of those."
[And you'll have it. Goodbye now, Sam. I'll see an earlier you in a few minutes.]
The man didn't get the chance to think about what that meant.
--
Sam blinked his eyes open; he was laying in some sort of cushioned tube, like the ones in Teq's lab. He tapped the glowing "exit" button and sat up, groggy. Around the tube was, well… Teq's lab. The practically second home of his Synth friend, the place was littered with tools, notes, and half-finished contraptions that it swore it had put in "the most efficient places possible." Today, the focus seemed to be around the biggest 3D printer Sam had ever seen, covered in papers with diagrams and measurements all over them.
Teq itself stood over its desk, presumably with even more complicated papers. [Oh, hello again Sam. Did you wake up well?] it asked, turning its head so its visor could "look" at him. Really, with its tail plugged into the wire hanging from the ceiling, Teq had seen Sam through every wall-mounted camera pointed near him, but he appreciated the familiar body language.
"Er, yeah, thanks for the makeshift bed, but I don't remember climbing in."
[Perfectly normal,] it replied, its electronic wink pulsing a mischievous yellow and blue, [seeing as you didn't.]
"Right, yeah, I remember some new scan you wanted to…" a yawn interrupted Sam, and he reached up in a big stretch, one that drew his attention to his outfit.
Or rather, his lack thereof.
"Teq, do you know why I'm naked?"
[Synthesizing clothes around a body would have posed an unnecessary challenge and risk.] It turned, walked over, and offered a hand out of the tube. [Say, do you know anyone else who would want to be eaten by a Synth? For once, some external bias in selection would be welcome.]
Sam took the hand and cringed at the chill of the floor; helpfully, Teq pointed him to a pile of his clothes on a nearby bench. "I… maybe? Wait, what do you mean anyone ELSE?" he asked while putting on some protection from the lab's temperature.
The yellow and blue smiling eyes returned as Teq handed him a USB stick. "I could tell you directly, but I think it will be much more fun for you to find out looking through these files."
Veronica Sawyer x Jason J.D. Dean. Heather Chandler (mention), Heather Duke (mention)
TW: mention eating disorder
Summary: Veronica is anxious about her weight, and J.D. knows who to blame.
(fluff, talks and a little fightings, supporting J.D., weight anxious)
_________
"Good morning, princess," a familiar, slightly husky voice murmured from behind her, surrounding Veronica with the thick smell of tobacco and motor oil. "Having breakfast all alone?"
"It's lunchtime, weirdo," she pecked J.D.'s cheek with a quiet chuckle and quickly pulled away, rubbing her lips. "Ouch! Why are you so stubbly, oversleeping again?"
He smirked, and carelessly shoved somebody's stuff aside and slumped into the chair next to her.
"Nah, been fiddling with the bike all morning. Damn thing wouldn't start again," he sighed noisily and glanced disapprovingly at the contents of her tray. "Shit, and I was hoping it was breakfast after all... Because this, honey, doesn't even come close to looking like lunch."
With a guilty look, Veronica picked up a leaf of lettuce with her fork and stared at it in disgust. She wanted to eat something normal, like a hot dog or a hamburger, but....
"I'm just not hungry," she shook her head and put the fork down.
Her stomach responded with a treacherously loud rumble, and Veronica, flushed, hastily excused herself, "It's..."
"It's that bitch again, isn't it?" J.D.'s face twisted with anger. "Did she say something about your weight again?"
"Well... if I gain a few more pounds," her voice grew quieter with each word, "I'm going to look like a whale..."
"Fuck," he exhaled sharply and pinched the bridge of his nose with his fingers. "Fuck! You're the smart one, Ronnie, so why the fuck are you listening to her?"
"But I gained weight! And Chandler's my friend," Veronica mumbled insecurely, "it's her way of taking care of me..."
"Well, she already took care of Duke," J.D. grinned fiercely and stared at her; she shivered and stopped talking, "and now, as a 'good' friend, she brings her flowers to the hospital and, I'm sure, still enjoys throwing in a few words about her looks. She's just found a new way to bully her. Am I wrong?"
She silently shook her head without looking up: he was frighteningly accurate. On their last visit, Chandler had brought some blush and advised Duke to "do something about that sickly look. Veronica had never forgiven Duke for the cemetery prank, but at that moment, she'd felt insanely sorry for her.
"Damn it, Veronica, you promised you'd kick Heather out of your life," J.D. snapped angrily, moving closer to hover over her. "But somehow you still let her wipe her feet on you! Would you please stop kissing her ass already?"
"You don't understand," she jumped up and glared at him, her lips pressed together in anger, "I've sa..."
"I don't fucking get it anymore, Ronnie," he stood up abruptly from the chair and almost dropped it. "If you're scared, I could protect you!"
"You can't fight off teasing and rumors with your fists, J.D.," Veronica shook her head wearily and looked up at him. "I've said it before: I don't want to stand alone against the whole school."
"But I'll be right there!" he slammed his fist into the table, causing the trays to bounce and jingle pitifully. "Isn't that enough? ...ah, screw it!"
J.D. turned and dashed out of the cafeteria with a quick stride. With a soft curse under her breath, Veronica grabbed her bag and ran after him.
Fortunately, he hadn't gone far: he was standing not far from the cafeteria entrance, leaning against the wall, furiously trying to wipe the soot off his hands with the edge of his shirt. Slowing her pace, she hesitantly approached and stood beside him. Pretending not to notice her, J.D. continued to rub the stain in silence, rubbing it harder into his skin. Veronica sighed heavily.
"That's enough, but it's... it's different," she stammered, trying to find the words. "I want to make good memories, J.D. I want to remember parties at Mac's, sleepovers at Chandler's, and going shopping with all the Heathers. I want to have fun at graduation! Not just remember bullying and laughing in the back for the rest of high school, you get it?" she asked.
"No, I don't get it," J.D. muttered grimly, rubbing the black mark on his arm in irritation. "It's all a fucking fake!"
"Not everything, just some of it," Veronica put her palm on his arm, stopping him gently. "But even if I fake it somewhere, I won't remember it later. Only the good stuff will stay. Just a few more months, J.D., and we'll be out of here..."
He shook his head stubbornly:
"I shouldn't have told you about the mugs back then, you know," his lips pressed into a thin line in contempt. "If that bitch had died back then, things would be a lot better now. For you and for everyone. The world would be a much nicer place without her!"
"Let's not get into that again," Veronica frowned and drew back sharply. "I'm tired of arguing and proving..."
"Wait! I'm sorry, I..." J.D. quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him, "I just don't want to see you in a hospital bed! Not because of that bitch, not because of anyone. What if it had been you instead of Duke?"
Immediately softening, she stepped forward and laid her forehead on his chest. His arms immediately closed around her, confident and tight. Maybe too tight... He sighed loudly and rested his chin on the top of her head.
"I'm not going to take suspect diet pills, I promise. Especially not after what happened with Duke," she muttered into his shirt. Her head was spinning badly: three days of lettuce leaves and apples had taken their toll. "But I am really overweight. And my thighs are huge! Soon it'll be time to buy a prom dress..."
"You have a wonderfully curvy body, darling. And an awesome ass, if you ask me," J.D. hummed, running his hand slowly down her back teasingly; she slapped his chest with a soft giggle, "so just buy a dress that shows it off. And I'll get busy scaring off all the guys who'll be drooling over it."
"You're such an idiot," Veronica giggled, reaching up and smooching him on his stubby chin. "That's why I love you! By the way, is your bike back on the beat?"
"Yeah," a broad smile spread across his face. "Where to, princess?"
"Let's go to 7-Eleven," she shook her head determinedly, "I'm starving for a giant hot dog!"
[TW vague mentions of suicide baiting, mentions of self harm, Csa, sexual assault in general, pedophila, and grooming]
I was recently sent a lovely message by an individual with a brilliant idea! In three never typed before letters in- surprisingly not anon! (Sarcasm)
Anyways- as I go to block them THIS is what I see. Surprisingly they tagged triggers themselves but I've cut their user since they don't need the attention nor the potential hate. (They have since been blocked of course but this still needs to be said)
Tumblr media
Firstly, to read this as someone's genuine thought process is- wow. Secondly, your condolences in regards to victims is conditional for how they cope? That says a lot about you. Love how you compared them to their abusers for it (sarcastic ).
You're telling me someone's (potential) coping mechanism (Bad or not this isn't the point) makes them deserve what happened to them? Do you realize how that makes YOU the bad person? Would you tell that to someone who's harming themselves physically?
You give 0 understanding of what being proship is and just rattle off about unintelligent bullshit then go "yep, everything you've had to go through is 1000% what you're redoing to these fictional characters and nobody cares it happened to you."
I'll say it once and I'll say it again- if you put fictional character who hold no actual change over people who are real and living. Fuck you and everything you will ever stand for.
Honestly, coping mechanism or just for the hell of it- proshipping is at it's core anti harassment and anti censorship. The idea that those core elements genuinely irritate people is astounding to me. Most proshippers that I know either A) involve themselves with proshipping because (when antis aren't involved) it's usually a safe space to talk about your trauma and heal by making essentially vent fics using characters, or B) have a disorder that may cause paraphilic or intrusive thoughts that can better be coped with through fiction. But- friendly reminder ;
Proshipping has and always will be supported by therapists. But let's not forget therapy is expensive and not everyone has access to it- if you want every proshipper or people who follow that train of thought to harm themselves I think you should fork out a bit of money and see why your so angry at people for enjoying themselves and being free 💕
I swear antis have never heard of hypersexuality or paraphilic disorders before- or, here's a big one- OCD.
Proshipping can help people with said disorders to cope through their intrusive thoughts by giving them an outlet for what's hurting them- it's okay to let those thoughts out because you're not putting anyone into a situation that they're genuinely hurt by your thoughts.
TLDR:
An anti shipper messaged me telling me to kms, upon looking at their account you can see they push themselves to throw every buzzword together to make themselves seem better with no actual understanding of what those words mean.
Part of the Band - Chapter 2
Chapter 2 of my RAE longfic! Dook sleeps over. Beach Bear gets an idea.
< Chapter 1 - Chapter 3 >
Read it on AO3!
———
"Are you sure you aren't tryin' to get anything out of me?" Dook asks.
"I'm for certain, dude," Beach Bear replies, closing the freezer door. "Look, it's exactly what I said! Frozen peas. It's a Christmas miracle!" He wraps it in a layer of paper towel before approaching Dook. "C'mere, let me..." He moves toward him, pressing the makeshift ice pack onto Dook's left eye.
"Ah–" Dook's hands instinctively fly up to remove the cold. "No, I–" He realizes he must look rude. "I'm sorry, just... let me."
"Oh," Beach Bear concedes the bag and Dook takes it. He places it gently on his eye, which proves to still be too intense. He instead opts to lightly touch it to his eye, progressively getting more comfortable with the temperature, until he can eventually rest it there. Beach watches him through this process.
"I'm sorry," Dook says. "I just– It was cold."
"No worries," Beach replies. "Hey, listen, I should ask now: do you like your pillow soft or hard? I've got two."
"Wh- Huh?" Dook wants to question further, but Beach Bear has already made his way into his bedroom to retrieve the pillows. He stands there awkwardly, unsure if he should follow.
Luckily, it's only a moment before he returns. "I didn't catch what you said, sorry."
"I don't– I just came for the... the peas," Dook says. "I wasn't gonna stay over."
"Don't be ridiculous," Beach says. "I'm not letting you into my house just to kick you out again. It's cold out there, Dook."
"It's not that cold..."
"Yeah, just like your eye isn't 'that' bad."
Dook says nothing. He stares at his feet, uncomfortable.
"...Look, I'm just trying to take care of you," Beach Bear says.
"Why?" Dook snaps, more upset than he meant to sound.
"Wh– What do you mean, why?" Beach responds. "Because you're a real person that needs to get taken care of like anyone else? You aren't in a position to do it yourself– but god forbid anyone else try? You're only making this hard for both of us!"
"And what if I don't wanna be helped, huh?" Dook says. "What if I don't want your charity?"
"Charity? Oh my– I'm trying to be nice, Dook! Hasn't anyone ever been nice to you before?"
"I–"
"Don't answer that," Beach says. "Don't... I'm sorry."
Dook just stares for a moment, unsure what to do next. Then, "I'm... sorry too. I'm a guest, I shouldn't–"
"Hey. It's okay. It's fine."
They're both quiet.
"...So, ah," Beach says finally. "Soft pillow or hard pillow?"
"I– Soft, I guess."
"Alright. I've only got the one bed, so you'll have to sleep on the couch," he says. "Is that okay by you?"
"Hey, it's better than on the street," Dook says. Beach Bear chuckles.
"It is." He hands him the pillow. "I'll get you a blanket, hold on. Make yourself comfortable in the meantime."
As he leaves, Dook eyes the couch. It's suede, and looks soft and worn. It's certainly not a new couch– it's got stains on one of the cushions, and the leftmost cushion is squished in a way where it's clear that's where Beach Bear has sat the most. Looking around the rest of the place, it becomes clear that everything in it seems to hold that vibe. Nothing is perfect, but everything seems used. Everything seems loved. As if you could pull out a fork from the kitchen and he'd have a story about even that.
Dook sits on the right side of the couch, placing his pillow next to him as Beach Bear returns from the bedroom with a blanket.
"Hey! Here ya go," he says, dumping it onto the other half of the couch. "You like TV? I can put something on for you. Where did I leave the remote..."
"It's okay, I don't really..."
"I get it, you just wanna sleep. I get you." He stands up straighter. "Well, Dook, if you need anything, I'm in the only bedroom in the place, so it shouldn't be too hard to find me." He laughs. "Don't hesitate to bother me, okay?"
"Sure..." Dook picks up his pillow if just to fidget with it. "...Beach Bear."
"Yeah?"
"You sure there's nothin' you want out of me?" He feels ashamed asking this many times, but he just can't shake the feeling that he's being too nice to him. It's like he's been buttering him up for something.
"...Y'know what, Dook? There is something you can do for me." Oh god, here it comes... "You can stop asking that."
"H- huh?"
"Stop asking. And go to sleep," Beach Bear says. "Sometimes people just want to be nice to other people. That's all I want."
Dook is stunned. "I– uh..."
"G'night, Dook. Sleep well," Beach says, smiling as he leaves Dook alone once again.
·–—–·
Dook is waken up by the smell of coffee brewing. He sits up, greeted by the sight of Beach Bear leaning over the counter of the kitchen area. He's got the radio on, music quietly coming from it.
"Hey," he says, waving. "Hope I didn't wake you."
" 's okay," Dook mumbles, still groggy.
"You drink coffee?" Beach asks. "I can make you a cup."
"No," Dook says. "I like the smell, but not the taste."
"Well, is there anything you'd like?" Beach asks. "I've got some food in the fridge."
"Uh... milk?" Dook suggests. "A- and maybe some toast."
"Milk and toast it is," Beach Bear says, turning to the fridge with a smile. Dook stands from the couch and approaches the kitchen island from the opposite end.
"Did you sleep okay?" Beach asks.
"Yeah," Dook says. "...I never thanked you."
"Hey, it's nothing. You and I are friends now." He returns to the counter, placing a glass of milk in front of Dook.
"We are?"
"Sure we are." He turns the radio up a bit. "I gotta use the bathroom. I'll be right back, okay?"
"Okay," Dook says, despite Beach Bear having already started leaving.
He slumps over the counter, similar to how Beach was just a moment ago. The kitchen isn't exactly a full kitchen– just a section of the floor in the living room with tile flooring instead of carpet, with an island rather than walls to border it from the rest of the space. All the amenities, of course, just... small. Beach Bear has left plenty on the counter, scattered around. Notebooks, notepads, pencils... Either he likes to write or he hates to forget stuff.
Dook idly rolls a pen toward him, picking it up and fiddling with it. He twirls it in his fingers a few times before getting bored of that and then switching to tapping it on the counter. Once, twice, three times... letting it bounce on the marble, buzz... He does it more deliberately now, a roll, almost.
The song on the radio changes, something rock and roll now. Dook doesn't pay it much mind, but he finds himself a few moments later tapping his foot. Then he finds himself tapping the pen along in time. By the first chorus, he's doing a full routine in time with the tune.
"Hey there, rockstar," Beach Bear says, and Dook fumbles the beat.
"Hi," he says, putting the pen down.
"That was some good stuff," Beach tells him. "You always been so musically inclined?"
"Ah..." He isn't sure how to respond. "Somethin' like that. Music ain't too hard, y'know? All you need's something to hit and something to hit it with."
Beach Bear chuckles. "I guess so," he says. "Never thought of it like that. Even so, you can carry a beat pretty good." He ponders for a second before continuing.
"Hey, listen, Dook. Me and a couple friends have been trying to start a band, actually... and we could really use a drummer," he says. "...If you're interested, of course. I know you've got your sights set on becoming a moon man."
Dook isn't sure what to say. A musical career... That's what he left home to do. He just didn't think it would be dropped in his lap like this. It almost feels too good to be true. But why look a gift horse in the mouth?
"...Sure," he says. "S'pose I need a side gig until the space thing gets going, anyway."
Beach Bear laughs. "This is great news for two reasons. We're actually planning to meet later today! Do you have sticks, or a set to play on?"
"N- no?" Dook says.
"Okay, that's fine," Beach says. "We can get you all that when we get there." He turns to leave the kitchen.
"W- wait, what's the other reason?"
"Oh!" Beach Bear turns around, grinning. "If you're in a band with me... that means you get to stay here longer!"
"No," You state casually as if you were rejecting a movie suggestion instead of your boyfriend's attempt to break up with you. The confused expression that crosses his face is borderline comical but you keep your look neutral.
"No?" He asks, pinching his eyebrows together.
"No," You repeat. "We're not breaking up," You tell him. He sighs slowly.
"Y/n-"
"Look, Jasper," You cut him off before he can try to reexplain his reasoning behind this decision. "So, you tried to kill my sister, big deal. Lord knows I've wanted to kill her multiple times before,"
"This isn't a joke," He snips a bit.
"And I'm not joking," You assure him. "Bella is a very hard person to get along with. Everyone wants to strangle her, or drain her blood, at some point in her life. The point is that you didn't hurt her. You never even touched her. Edward's the one who threw her into the glass, not you,"
"If they couldn't have stop me-"
"But they did," You cut him off again. You step closer to him but he moves back.
You try ignore the way your heart clenches. You should have seen this coming. You should have known that the incident at Bella's birthday party would have pushed him away from you. It took you and Jasper a lot of stepping around each other before you two finally came together.
You haven't been with each other long but it's been a wonderful time. You want to stay with him but you can see him slipping from you. He's always been anxious about the possibility of him losing control and hurting you but he's always pushed his fears aside because he wants to be with you. However, the accident with Bella is just an all too real reminder of what could happen.
You knew the dangers of being with him, you just didn't care. You're head over heels in love with Jasper. You wanted to hold onto him. You wanted to keep him close. But you knew the tighter you held on the harder Jasper was going to pull.
"Jasper, I love you and I know you love me. So many people don't get a chance to experience this feeling. I would be stupid to let you go," You said. You make another attempt to get closer to him. He allows it making you smile. You gently pry his arms from their crossed position over his chest. "But I know that you're afraid of what's going to happen if you don't get more control over yourself. I know this isn't something I can help you with and you can't do what you need to do here in Forks," You say to him.
Jasper gives your hands a squeeze. You step closer when he pulls you in and your eyes shut as his cool lips press on your temple. There's a few seconds of quiet before you look into his perfectly golden eyes.
"I'm not letting you go Jasper Whitlock. So, go do what you need to do and you come back to me. Understand?" You ask him. He stares back into your eyes and slowly shows that sexy lopsided smirk of his.
"Yes, ma'am/sir," He murmurs.
"Come back to me or I will find you, Mr. Whitlock," You promise him. His smirk widens. He pulls you into his chest. You hug him tightly.
"I love you," He whispers. You feel as if a weight is lifted from your shoulders when he tells you this. You knew he still loved you but you worried that he would deny it in an attempt to push you away. "I'll come back, I promise,"
Third installment of my Alpha-17/fem!reader fic!
Word-Count: 3,100
Warnings: aggressive flirtation, Alpha is rude.
---
You carefully straightened the neckline of your shirt, eyes on the refresher mirror. It might be silly, but today marked a full month since you had come to Kamino, and you wanted to look your best.
Your outfit had survived the morning, despite a meeting with several Kaminoans who wanted updates on your progress. You had been able to deliver good news - that you were right on schedule - but a sense of doubt overshadowed any triumph you might have felt. The first deadline had been met, but the next one promised to step up the workload, and you were already feeling overwhelmed at the idea.
Still, you were determined to push the negativity out of your mind. You would figure out a better schedule to complete the work later. Today was a celebration.
The bad thing about taking more care with your appearance was that it attracted more attention than usual from the cadets. You had politely turned away two different groups of young men by the time Alpha was due to arrive in the cafeteria. Another cadet - alone, this time - was doing his best to keep from being dismissed as well.
"Was it raining when you came in, ma’am?" he asked, leaning over you. "I have flight drills after this and it gets even more dangerous in the rain."
You did your best not to smile at the obvious way he was hinting about being a pilot. "You know, I think it was raining the last time I was near a window," you told him, voice grave.
"Then I'm going to need some luck to survive," he said dramatically, flashing you a smile he clearly hoped would be charming. "I've heard a kiss from a beautiful woman is a good start. What do you think? It might help me survive the afternoon."
"I wouldn't count on it," a dark voice warned.
The cadet stood as straight as possible as Alpha approached. The captain brushed your new pilot friend aside with a twist of his armored shoulders and sat down. He proceeded to start eating, ignoring the cadet completely.
Any other cadet would have backed away, thankful that Alpha hadn't decided to throw them directly into the oceans of Kamino, but this one was more determined than most.
He winked at you from behind Alpha's head. "By the way, my name is-"
"She doesn't want to know your name," Alpha told him. "Get out of here before I decide that I want to know it."
"Very flattering, Captain," the cadet said cheekily. "But Jango's face isn't the one I want to wake up to, yeah?"
Alpha swallowed his mouthful of food and deliberately set his fork aside, standing slowly from the table. He drew up to his full height before turning around. He was taller than the cadet, forcing the younger man to look up.
"Now I'm extremely interested," Alpha said slowly, his slow and methodical voice dripping with menace. "What's your designation?"
Behind him, you winced. You hated how glaringly obvious it was that the Kaminoans considered these men products. Also, this cadet might die in front of you and that would almost certainly ruin your ability to eat in the cafeteria anymore.
"CT-7115," the cadet said with a grin.
"Ah, part of Zackra Trem's group." Alpha raised his comlink. "Trem."
"Alpha," a female voice returned immediately.
"I've got one of your pilot cadets here in the cafeteria. 7115."
"Broadside," Trem said, clearly recognizing the number. "He's one of my best, Alpha. Don't break him too badly."
"No promises," Alpha replied, turning slightly back toward Broadside. Since you were seated directly behind Alpha, you couldn't see his expression yourself, but it was enough to make Broadside's grin slip for the first time.
"I'll make you a deal," Trem offered. "I'll give him hell here and then send him back to you tonight. I'm sure he could help you demonstrate something unpleasant to your ARCs."
Alpha considered that for a long moment while Broadside shifted uncomfortably. Eventually, he conceded, "That works."
Trem laughed. "Do I even wanna know what he did to you?"
"Harassed an uninterested female."
The laughter emanating from the comlink's speakers cut off abruptly. "In that case, I think we should coordinate punishments. I'll be in touch, Captain."
The transmission cut off suddenly and Alpha looked at Broadside once more. "You had best get to your training, son."
Broadside, looking suddenly concerned, nodded and hurried away. “What was that?” you asked quietly when Alpha had sat down across from you once more.
“I told his superior officer about his behavior.”
“What more than that?” you pressed.
Alpha grinned suddenly, and it was half a snarl. “It just so happens that his superior officer is Zackra Trem. It’s not my story to tell, but she’s got more reason than most to hate that kind of osik behavior.”
You could very well guess the rest of that story. Your heart twisted for Trem, though you had never met her. “I’m sorry to hear that.”
“Nice, but she wouldn’t appreciate the sentiment,” Alpha told you, not unkindly. “Feel sorry for your little pilot. She’s a Weequay who ran with Mandalorians for the past few decades. Whatever she makes him do, it won’t be pleasant.”
You chuckled at that, trying not to actually feel sorry for Broadside. In the time you had been hanging around Alpha, most of the cadets had eased up a bit on flirting, but every now and then, someone crossed the line.
Alpha picked his fork up again and shot you an intense look. “Why are you dressed like that?”
Though your immediate instinct was to be embarrassed about being overdressed, even mildly, you rolled your eyes at him. “Anything looks like too much when everyone else wears uniforms all of the time. Remember that day I wore a necklace?”
“Yeah, I remember,” Alpha said, snorting. “A necklace. What are you, a Senator?”
“Your ideas of fancy clothing are extremely skewed, I hope you know that,” you told him, adjusting your collar again.
“Hazards of the job,” Alpha replied with a casual shrug as he returned his focus to his food. “Looks okay, though.”
You paused, staring openly at him. Had Alpha just complimented you? Surely not… The universe wouldn’t survive such unexpected behavior, not without signs that space was collapsing in on itself.
Alpha noticed you watching him and lifted an eyebrow in question while he chewed. You just shook your head and applied yourself to your own lunch, avoiding his curious eyes. Explaining your thought process there would be an intensive effort, especially if your goal was to keep him from being uncomfortable.
Fortunately, avoiding Alpha’s eyes let you notice the approaching cadet sooner than your companion did, and you had time to brace yourself before the young man - even younger than you were used to seeing - opened his mouth.
“Excuse me-”
“Kriff,” Alpha said loudly, dark brows crashing down over his eyes. “Go away, kid. I’ve already ruined one cadet’s day and I have no problem adding to the list. She doesn’t want to talk to you.”
“N-no, sir, of course not,” the cadet told him, nodding respectfully at you as he went on. “I wanted to talk to you. Is it true you served with General Kenobi?”
"What?" Alpha asked, sounding uncertain for the first time since you had met him. You quirked your brows, unsure of whether to be amused or concerned.
"General Kenobi," the cadet repeated. "And General Skywalker, too! I heard you went on a mission with both of them. What was it like?"
"Look, kid, I don't have time to answer all your questions about Jedi-"
"That's fine!" the cadet told him. "I already know everything there is to know about the Jedi. I want to know more about your experience, specifically."
The muscles in Alpha's jaw flexed and you quickly interrupted. "What's your name?"
"Dogma, ma'am," the cadet told you, making an apologetic face. "I know names are against regulations, but my batchers won't stop calling me that. My designation is CT-4287."
“Nice to meet you, Dogma,” you said politely.
Dogma's cheeks darkened and he gave a tight nod. "You too, ma'am."
"Stop flirting with the poor boy," Alpha chided and you gaped at the captain. So much for trying to help him.
"Dogma, I'm sure Captain Alpha would love to answer any question you have," you told the young cadet, grinning triumphantly at Alpha.
"Wait," Alpha ordered, catching at your wrist before you could stand up. His hand was ridiculously huge and you found yourself shackled by his gentle grip. "You haven't finished eating."
You grinned wider at him, slipping your wrist out from between his fingers. "I'll take it with me. Have fun, you two!"
Dogma gave a half-hearted wave while Alpha glared.
---
The rest of the afternoon was spent locked away in your office, working on the second major project you had to complete. Your concerns about the deadline were unfortunately proving correct. The icy grip of stress and fear were squeezing your heart, and you were honestly relieved when someone knocked on the door of your office.
“One moment!” you called to the unseen visitor, but they didn’t seem to hear you. Instead, they continued to pound on the door until you opened it. You were unsurprised to see Alpha on the other side, glowering down at you.
“You’re mean for a nat-born,” he grumbled, brushing you aside as he pushed into the office.
After letting the door slide closed once more, you followed him over to your desk and plopped down in your chair. Rather than sit in one of the chairs opposite you, Alpha leaned his hip against the side of your desk, much closer than you were comfortable with.
In a show of belligerence, you crossed your arms and lifted your chin as you replied, “Serves you right for being rude about my outfit.”
“I didn’t say anything bad about your clothes!” Alpha denied, befuddled.
“Yeah, well, you didn’t say anything nice about them, either,” you argued childishly, conveniently forgetting his half-compliment at lunch.
Alpha frowned. “You want me to… talk about clothing with you?”
Well. Put that way, it did sound a little silly. Of all of the things you were sure Alpha did well, deep discussions about fashion might be beyond him. Honestly, they might be beyond you, too. You sighed. “No, I don’t want you to talk about clothing with me, but I was trying to look nice today. I put a lot of effort into this.”
“I don’t understand why,” Alpha said. “You look… fine… every other day.”
“Fine,” you repeated dryly. “Thanks, I was going for fine.”
“I don’t understand what I did wrong.” You were able to hear the growing frustration in his voice. “What do you want me to do?”
“Maybe don’t act like I’m wearing a ballgown to work if I show up wearing a necklace!”
“What is a ballgown?”
You stared at Alpha, the simple question making your brain screech to a halt. It was like a chasm had opened between you, and it made you reconsider a few things. Since you had arrived on Kamino, you had treated the clone troopers as if they were people you might meet out in the galaxy, but that wasn’t exactly true. You still believed that they were people - of course you did - but you were only just coming to realize how different they were from anyone you had ever met. While the troopers shared their own experiences on Kamino and had been trained to be perfect soldiers by the time they shipped out, they were startlingly young by the standards of the rest of the galaxy.
“You know what? It doesn’t matter.” You fiddled with one of the many datapads littering your desk rather than meet Alpha’s intense gaze. “I am sorry for siccing Dogma on you, though.”
“You should be,” he growled. “He asked ten questions before I could shake him off. Ten!”
“Wow, that’s what? Five days worth of questions?” you teased.
“Five days for you,” Alpha told you seriously. “For anyone else, that’s more than I would ever answer.”
You were unreasonably touched by the reminder that Alpha let you learn things about him that no one else would ever know. Moved by a sudden surge of warmth for the ARC captain, you repeated your prior sentiment, but more fervently. “In that case, I honestly apologize for unleashing Dogma. If there’s anything I can do to make him back off, please let me know.”
Alpha’s stare was level and unwavering. “Yeah?”
“Of course,” you agreed immediately, not understanding what a wildly stupid idea that was. That was fine - you would learn… and it didn’t take long.
That night at dinner, Alpha came in and sat across from you, but instead of starting the meal in silence, he leaned across the table slightly to get your attention. Lowly, he asked, “Are you still willing to help me with Dogma?”
“Yes,” you agreed simply. “Do you have a plan?”
“Yeah. Flirt with me.”
You fought not to react visibly to that. Carefully keeping your face blank and your voice flat, you replied, “What.”
He leaned even closer, eyes lit with excitement. “I’ve been threatening and trying to alienate Dogma all day, but the only time he was uncomfortable was when you flirted with him.”
“I didn’t flirt with him!” you reminded him. “I just said it was nice to meet him.”
“Fine,” Alpha conceded. “We’ll just have to do better than that if we’re going to convince him to leave me alone.”
Abruptly feeling like this was the worst idea anyone had ever had, you tried to speak in your own defense. “Alpha, I don’t think this is a good idea-”
“You said you would help me,” he reminded firmly. “He’ll be here in a minute. I need your answer.”
Your heart was pounding, one of many warnings that this was a bad idea, but you nodded anyway. Alpha smiled - he actually smiled - and the expression looked menacing on his face. “Good.”
In a moment, he had circled the table to sit beside you, his huge frame making you feel ridiculously tiny in comparison. He wasn't wearing any armor at all now, and you could feel the heat of his skin through what little space there was between you.
You tried not to obviously tense as he spoke next to your ear. "There he is, get ready."
Impossibly, Alpha managed to get closer to you, tugging behind your knee slightly so that you were angled toward him. When he had finished posing you, Alpha’s large hand lifted to cradle your face. His fingers brushed over your cheekbone before trailing down to your jaw.
"My little neverd," he murmured to you, face filled with affection.
You didn't have to feign embarrassment at the warmth in his tone matched with the intense eye contact he was giving you. When you replied, you tried not to sound squeaky but only managed to sound shaky instead. "You know Mando'a is my weakness."
He laughed, a low chuckle that sent delicious chills running over your skin. “Why do you think I use it?”
“Alpha…” you chided, managing to sound mildly flirtatious.
“Come on, little one,” he urged you, voice velvet in a way you hadn’t known it could be. “Let’s go back to your- Ah, one moment, neverd. Dogma, sit down.”
You looked over to see Dogma standing at the other side of the table. You had never even noticed, your entire focus narrowed down to Alpha. Dogma looked as embarrassed as you felt. While you were focused on Dogma, Alpha’s arm snaked around you, pressing against your waist to pull you flush against his side. Your face flamed and Dogma glanced away.
“Sir, I- I’m sorry, I forgot I’m on duty tonight,” Dogma muttered, speaking so quickly it was difficult to understand him.
“Sorry to hear that, cadet,” Alpha replied gravely, flexing his fingers against your side. It made you push a little closer to him in reflex, the tip of your nose brushing the space under his jaw as you tried to look up at him. Alpha shivered, and you weren’t sure how much of the motion was acting. “Maybe later.”
Dogma gave an awkward nod and hurried off.
Alpha started laughing even before he let you go, his muscular chest shaking against your shoulder. After a moment that felt like it had stretched an hour, he pulled his arm back and slid away a bit. You immediately felt the loss of his closeness and suddenly you were horribly uncertain of what expression you were wearing. Just in case it said more than you wanted it to, you looked back at the entrance of the cafeteria.
“I feel bad,” you admitted.
"Don't," Alpha advised, looking toward the door as well. “He’ll be fine. He’s a good soldier, just a little…”
He trailed off, apparently content to let his thought stay incomplete. You glanced over to him with an eyebrow raised, but his eyes were fixed on the door. “You can see every access point in the room from here.”
“That is why I chose this spot,” you agreed.
“Switch with me tomorrow.”
“Not a chance,” you refused. “This is my spot.”
“Then I hope you like sitting next to me,” Alpha told you. Surprised, you laughed up at him and he met your eyes. “You know, I’ve never seen anyone blush on cue.”
“Hidden talent,” you explained vaguely. Alpha didn’t seem convinced, so you changed the subject. “What does neverd mean?”
“Civilian.”
You laughed before you could stop yourself. “Civilian? That’s what you used as a term of endearment?”
Alpha blinked blankly at you. “What’s wrong with it? You are a civilian.”
“Yes, but,” you thought over it for a second, “-it’s not very romantic. Usually, people say things like ‘dear’ or ‘sweetheart’.”
“How should I have known that?” Alpha asked.
It was the ballgown situation all over again, and more than you were willing to tackle that day. “Well, some warning before you want me to go undercover would be helpful.”
Alpha snorted. “How much warning do you need?”
You pretended to consider that for a moment. “Two business days, minimum.”
He frowned fiercely. “If you get two full days of warning, I expect more. I need you to show up in a disguise with three different accents ready.”
“Harsh terms,” you told him with a smile. “With those negotiation skills, you’d make a great senator."
Alpha gave you the darkest scowl you had ever seen him muster. “Watch it, neverd.”
Idly, you wondered if Alpha would protect you from himself, but the amused glimmer in his dark eyes told you it would be unnecessary.
A/N - Pretty sure Broadside is wildly OOC, my bad. Also, sorry for the weird image for this chapter. I didn't really want the text bubbles in there, but I needed to keep Alpha's sassy hip lean.
Summary: After Bella found out the Cullen's were vampires she freaked out and informed her best friend Y/n. She made fast friends with the Cullen's as did Bella, especially Jasper. What happens when she finds out she's not meant to be a Cullen...maybe not meant to be a Cold One at all?
Tumblr media
"I still don't like the fact that you're leaving." Edward spoke and I rolled my eyes. "She could tell anyone Carlisle!"
"Y/n, are you planning on telling anyone our secret, effectively endangering our entire world and everyone in it that you love, such as Bella and Jasper?" Carlisle asked and I shook my head. "There you go Edward, she can go visit her cousin now." I knew about the Cullen's being vampires. Bella was my best friend and she came to me when she first found out and was pretty freaked, I became very close with Jasper soon after they found out I knew, he couldn't smell my blood fr some reason and we got along very well, talking about books and music, we told each other everything, and I do mean everything.
"Be safe Darlin', are you sure you don't want me to drive you to the airport?" I shook my head, seeing the taxi pull up outside.
"I'm fine Jazz, I'll call you when I land."
"You'll text when you're safely at the airport, and safely on the plane, and when you land and when you get to your cousins house, I want to know you're okay. Call if I need to come get you, I will if I have to, okay?" I nodded.
"Okay Jazz, I promise. Take care of him Alice, distract him so he doesn't notice when I don't call 20 times every day." I said hugging her and Jasper growled.
"You will call at least 10, tell me everything, wear your coat, and don't go outside after dark, um, what else is dangerous for humans? Oh, don't take drinks from people you don't know!" I waved as I walked out the door, not wanting to hear any more of his rules, though I doubt I could escape, he would just text them to me.
The plane ride was okay, I took a nap and texted everyone for a while before arriving at the airport only to be tackled by my cousin. "Elena!" I cheered upon seeing her, she hugged me tightly...almost too tightly but I let it go, getting hugged by Emmett everyday really desensitizes you to tight hugs.
"Y/n! I'm so glad you're here! We are going to have so much fun!" We went back to her car and she took me to the Grille before anything else, knowing I was starving. We spent the evening there, hanging out with her friends. I had missed Caroline and Bonnie but now I got to meet Damon and Stefan as well as Caroline's boyfriend Tyler.
"I have to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back." I walked to the bathroom and did my business before pulling out my phone and texting Jasper.
Kitten: Safe and sound. Elena took me to eat and I believe we're about to go home. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
Tiger: Text me when you get home first.
I sighed heavily before texting him again.
Kitten: Jazz, I know you're worried about me without being here to protect me but you need to calm down, I'm perfectly safe, this is a small town where nothing ever happens!
Tiger: That's what people say about Forks, and you know what lives here? US!
I couldn't help my giggle before texting him back.
Kitten: I promise there are no vampires here, I've been keeping an eye out for red or golden eyes, I'm perfectly safe. Relax.
Tiger: Fine, text me tomorrow, goodnight kitten.
Kitten: Goodnight Tiger!
We had gone to the carnival once and got our faces painted, he's called me Kitten ever since and I call him Tiger to annoy the fuck out of him. I walked back to my table before seeing a man taking up my seat. "What is it Elena, it smells divine, I just want to know." His accent made me weak at the knees and I almost didn't want to interrupt them because I wanted to hear it again.
"Y/n!" Caroline yelled and everyone including the new man turned to me, his jaw dropped and he looked about to faint, but what he said stunned me.
"Mate." I looked at him unsure for a moment before he collected himself. "Sorry, I should get back to my mate at the bar. Goodnight everyone." They all stared after him but I continued on, grabbing my wallet from the table as Elena stood, looking about to be sick.
"Elle, are you okay? Come on, you look sick, I'll drive." She nodded and I helped her to the car after saying goodbye to everyone but they all stared at me as if I was the second coming of Christ.
"You go on to bed, I'm going to make myself some tea and relax for a minute." Elena said and I nodded. It was strange being in this house without seeing Jeremy but I knew he was off at college, making a mental note to skype him to check in as my final "goodbye" before I'm turned.
"Are you sure? I can wait." She shook her head.
"Go, it's fine." I shrugged, grabbing my bag and went to get ready for bed.
I fell asleep okay but woke up feeling someone stroking my hair. I opened my eyes but there was no one. "Jasper?" I called before remembering where I was and sighing, knowing I was not getting back to sleep. I grabbed my phone and dialed a familiar number and he answered on the first ring.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt? It's 2 in the morning there, what happened?" He asked frantically and I chuckled.
"Calm down Jasper, I just woke up, it's weird not having my best friend here is all. You know I don't sleep well." He sighed, slightly relieved.
"Yeah, I know. I wish I could help Kitten." I groaned.
"Fuck you Tiger, stop calling me that! It makes me sound small and weak."
"Right, and you're so big and ferocious." He sniped sarcastically.
"Yes, as a matter a fact I am...am I disturbing you?" He chuckled and replied 'no'. "Good, I'm sure this is going to be a regular thing at night." It was then that I heard this noise, it sounded almost like purring and my entire body relaxed. "Jazz, I'm gonna go...I feel...really...mmm..." My head hit the pillow and was unconscious.
I woke up the next morning with a text from Jasper letting me know I completely passed out on him last night and I chuckled. I showered and did my morning routine before going downstairs and finding a note from Elena telling me that she went to the school to help set up for Prom under Caroline's regime. I rolled my eyes, her school started 3 weeks after ours and ended 3 weeks after so I knew I would have to share my cousin with the school but I was here for 2 weeks and there was only a week left of school so I was fine with it. I grabbed my wallet and phone before beginning my walk to the grille and ordering lunch since I woke up so late. "Are you eating alone?" That voice sent shivers down my spine and I turned to see a beautiful face.
"Yeah, Caroline had Prom committee and forced Elena along with Bonnie I'm guessing, it's in like 2 days so she's frantic. I'm just lucky she didn't pull me down with everyone else I suppose." I joked and gestured to the other side of the booth I was in. He sat down, holding his hand out to me which I gladly took.
"Klaus Mikaelson."
"Y/n Cullen." Carlisle changed my name when he adopted me from my parents, they never really cared much about me and didn't care if I 'moved out' a year early, at least that's what I told people.
"Nice to meet you, love. Can I buy you a drink?" I was stunned by this.
"Oh, I'm 18, I don't think they would serve me." He shook his head.
"Nonsense, they serve your cousin and her friends all the time. I'll be right back." He walked up to the bar and ordered the drinks before walking back. "See, no problem."
"Alright then, what am I drinking?"
"I got you a long island iced tea, your cousin and her friends love them." I nodded.
"So...it's none of my business but you and Caroline seemed to be close last night, are you guys...?" He shook his head, chuckling.
"I tried a few times to ask her on a date however she's with Tyler, she's a sweet girl but we will never be anything more than friends...if you can even call us that." I giggled, taking my drink from the bar tender when he brought them over.
"I was just curious. I thought she was with Tyler, but she also dated Matt, then Elena dated Stefan but then Damon, and now Stefan maybe, then Bonnie dated some dude named Luka then Jeremy and now Matt...I can't keep up..."
"Yes, it is hard to keep track in high school I suppose. However I wouldn't have bought you a drink if I was dating your cousins best friend." I looked up from my drink shocked.
"This is more than a friendly drink then?" He shrugged.
"If you want it to be, no pressure. You seem nice and I only know what your cousin has told me, but I'd like to get to know you. Maybe talk you into staying in Virginia instead of going back to Forks." I giggled again, not understanding why this man had such an effect on me.
"I suppose if someone catches my interest I could stay longer than 2 weeks, though they would have to be pretty interesting." He ordered another round of drinks and we spent the next hour getting to know each other. "You're a lot of fun to talk to Klaus, thanks for keeping me company."
"Of course love. I'm enjoying our talk too, would you like another?" I looked down at my empty glass and felt my head spinning slightly.
"Part of me wants to say yes because it's really good, but the rest is dizzily saying 'please no', I don't really drink and I've had 3 of these now. Maybe just water?" I laughed and he smiled as well. He ordered me a water when my phone suddenly began ringing. "That'll be Elena." I said, pulling it from my pocket to see something much worse. "Uh oh..."
"What?"
"It's Jasper."
"Your adopted brother?" I nodded and he looked confused. "Why 'uh oh'?"
"He told me not to take drinks from strangers, and I'm actually a little drunk right now...trust me he will notice. He'll get on the next flight and drag me home by my hair." I explained as the phone stopped ringing.
"He's that protective?" I nodded.
"Jasper and I are super close, closer than I am with any of my other adopted siblings. His girlfriend Alice is really great too, we go shopping together. Emmett and I play a lot of video games, Rose tolerates me and Edward despises me with a great passion. Don't ask why." I said, seeing him about to question it. "His girlfriend Bella is my best friend and I take up a lot of her time. He doesn't like her spending time with Jasper and I, says Jasper is dangerous and I'll be just like him or something like that." I shrugged.
"Is he?" He asked, quite seriously and I shook my head.
"Jasper...he's done some bad stuff, but he's different now, he wouldn't hurt anyone and Edward can't get over the things he did when he was alone and didn't know any better. Jazz is a really great guy, loves his girlfriend, got accepted to Princeton, and took care of me when I had no one, I hate Edward just as much as he hates me because he can bad mouth my best friend like that."
"You are really passionate about that." I nodded.
"I know everything that he's gone through and none of it was his fault, he chose to make his life better, no one forced him, and I think he deserves a chance." He nodded.
"I agree completely. Everyone screws up, that doesn't mean they're not a good person at heart." That I when my phone decided to ring again and I looked at the caller ID to see Emmett and smiled.
"Hey Em." I grinned, answering.
"Hello kitten, so you'll answer for Emmett but not me?" My head hit the table as I realized my mistake.
"You took Emmett's phone didn't you Jasper? I didn't want you to yell at me."
"If it's about how drunk you clearly are then you're right, I'm going to yell at you. Where did you get alcohol?"
"My new friend, he's super nice, he-"
"HE!? When did I say you could talk to someone of the male species?!" I groaned, knowing Klaus could hear all of this since Jazz was yelling.
"Keep this up and I'm going to call Alice. Or Esme!" I realized I had him.
"You're a bitch. Please just make sure you're safe? Don't trust a strange man to take you home?"
"He is not strange! Are you strange?" I asked Klaus who was trying to hold back his laughter.
"I don't think so, I try not to be. I would be glad to take you home however. You can stay on the line with your brother if you want so he knows you're safe." I nodded.
"See Jazz, I'll keep talking to you, I'm perfectly-woah!" I slurred as I stood and felt my head spin.
"I've got you, it's okay. Come on love." He helped me outside and into his car before I put the phone back to my ear hearing Jasper rant off all the things that could happen to me making me sigh. I hung up and quickly called Esme.
"Hello dear. Jasper is ranting, I don't think he's realized you hung up yet."
"Yes, well I'm safe so can you stay on the line with me? I don't fancy being shouted at." She chuckled and it sounded like bells.
"I'll stay with you, now you know I don't mind you drinking, you're 18, all teenagers do it but please do it somewhere that you don't have to leave and you're safe until you're sober again. It'll make your mother feel better." I thought for a moment as Klaus drive us down the street.
"Next time we drink, can we get drunk at your house so I don't have to leave right away?" He smiled at my loophole and nodded.
"Of course love."
"Put me on the phone with this boy."
"Oh mom, no! Please no, I just made a friend, don't ruin this!" Klaus snatched the phone from my hands and put it to his ear. "HEY!"
"Hello? Yes, I took the phone from her. I'm driving her home right now...yes she's safe...I won't let anything happen to her Mrs. Cullen…Klaus…Yes…I'm 26…No, she's just a sweet girl, Elena had prom committee so I sat with her while she ate lunch, I'm friends with some of Elena's friends, that's how we met. I will take care of her as long as you make sure her brother doesn't come and try to kill me." He joked and I heard Esme laugh. "Alright Mrs. Cullen, we're at Elena's now, here you are." I took the phone back and opened the door, falling onto my lawn.
"OW!"
"What happened?!" Jasper shouted from beside Esme.
"I fell out of the car."
"Taking care of you is going to be a full time job, isn't it love?" I nodded.
"Yep, I'm a danger magnet. I'm home mom, I'll call you tomorrow, or later tonight...that depends what time it is now." I giggled and she sighed.
"Sleep it off Y/n, please? Carlisle says sleep on your side with a bucket beside the bed." I nodded.
"I will make sure I do that. Thank you mommy." I hung up as Klaus helped me to the door and I opened it quickly. "Enter, ye who dare." I teased, nearly falling through the door as I did.
"Hold on love." He lifted me into his arms and I squealed as he walked up the stairs and into the room I pointed to. He removed my shoes and jacket, placing a trash bucket next to my bed. "I'll call and check on you later." He said putting his number in my phone and texting himself so he had mine. "Sleep." He kissed my cheek gently before leaving and I passed out before I could even say goodbye.
I woke up at my normal time of about 2 in the morning and sighed, dialing a familiar number. "How are you feeling kitten?"
I sighed. "Too tired to insult you back, I'm sorry about earlier Jazzy."
"It's okay kid, I need to let you have normal experiences, Alice and Esme put me in my place, I just love you, I don't want you hurt when I'm not there to help you."
"I get that, and it may seem stupid, but I trust Klaus, he's sweet and he took care of me. He wasn't trying to get me drunk, he didn't know I wasn't the average teenager around here that drinks at the grill daily like it's normal. We really got to know each other and I told him the truth about you guys adopting me." I usually just told people "I practically live there" as an exaggeration, but I told Klaus the truth...not the whole truth but it was more truth than I told most people.
"She told him about us!?" Edward growled from behind him and I flinched.
"Just that you're my family now, and you took me in when I needed you...oh and that Edward is an ass. Klaus want's to beat him up in my honor, isn't that so sweet?" Jasper had a good laugh at that and everyone else seemed to as well.
"I think we'll get along with this guy." Emmett shouted to me and I smiled.
"Just don't get too close, you know the consequences of that...I'm sorry but you aren't going to be able to talk to him after this trip...I think you know that..."
I sighed, tears coming to my eyes. "Yeah, I know...I just wish it was different..."
"Well It's Not!" Edward screamed and more tears came to my eyes.
"Don't listen to him, he's-"
"It's fine, I'll call you later. I'm going back to bed Jazz."
"Y/n-"
"Bye." I hung up and let the tears fall. I love my family, and I would never want to leave them but part of me wishes that Bella had never told me this stupid secret. How could someone I just met be this important to me already? I went back to bed still crying into my pillow and wishing I had never come to Mystic Falls at all.
I decided to make the best of the little time I had with Klaus and we spent the next week and a half together. We went to the mall, to the movies, for walks in the woods, and we spent quite a bit of time at his house, which was full of drunk honesty. In all this time I had barely called my family and though it bothered Jasper he knew I was trying to deal with never seeing the man I had so quickly fallen in love with again. I was currently snuggled into his side on his bed, watching a movie when the last thing I had ever expected happened, he leaned over and kissed me. I was stunned at first but moved to kiss back quickly, putting my arms around his neck and pulling him closer. "I'm so in love with you." He mumbled as he moved to my neck and I whimpered as he nibbled over my sweet spot.
"I love you too Klaus, so much." He laid me back on his bed and lifted my shirt off, kissing his way down my chest and over my bra, biting my nipple making me hiss in pleasure, never expecting that to be something that I would enjoy.
"Oh you like being bitten huh?" I moaned, nodding my head quickly, and yes I understood the irony. He pulled my bra off of me quickly and wrapped his lips around my nipple, working on the button on my pants, pulling them off before switching to give my other breast equal attention. I reached out, pulling his shirt over his head, seeing his chest for the first time and groaning.
"Jesus!" I trailed my hands up his chest before pushing against his shoulders, flipping us over and straddling him, kissing him again and nipping my way slowly down his torso. I pulled his jeans and boxers off all together and dropped them on the floor before continuing my decent, kissing his tip lightly before rubbing my tongue against his slit making his hips jump slightly.
"Fuck baby girl, wrap those pretty lips around me, please?" I did as he asked, wrapping my hand around what wouldn't fit in my mouth. His fingers wove their way into my hair and I relaxed my throat as he pushed me down onto him, forcing me to deep throat him. "Your mouth is fantastic love, fuck! I’ve been dreaming about that gorgeous mouth since I gave you that first drink. That tongue is everything I knew it would be Princess!" His moaning turned me on more than I wanted to admit and I put my hand into my underwear, rubbing my clit to stop the ache. "Oh baby, did I forget about you?" He pulled himself out of my mouth and practically tossed me onto my back, kissing me through my panties. "You're soaking wet love, so responsive, I love it." He eased my panties down before kissing my clit again, making me open my legs even more. He pushed 2 fingers into me as he continued sucking on my clit, letting me wrap my legs around his shoulders as he did so. "I'm in love with your pretty pussy baby, you're so tight. You're so ready for me aren't you?" I nodded. “So needy for me? You’ve been dreaming about me just as much as I have about you, haven’t you? My desperate little girl.”
"Yes, please? Please fuck me?" I pulled him up to me and kissed him hard, tasting myself on his lips before he lined himself up and thrust into me, stilling right away and giving me a moment to adjust.
"Relax love. Just relax." He kissed my neck before he started moving again and I gasped at the feeling. "Your pussy is so tight for me, I just barely fit inside you."
"Didn't know...it felt like this." I moaned as he thrust a little harder, pulling me up so he was sitting on his knees and grabbing my hips to bounce me up and down onto himself, shocking me a bit with how strong he was but I didn’t dwell on it for long. "If I did, I would have jumped you a long time ago." I teased and he chuckled kissing my breasts and feeling me get closer and closer to the edge as my pussy squeezed him.
"Are you going to cum for me baby?" I nodded, whimpering and holding his head to my chest. "Let me feel you cum all over my cock, cum for me love." I felt him bite my breast as he came and it pushed me over the edge making me hold him even tighter as I cried out embarrassingly loud.
"Fuck Klaus!" He pulled back, laying down and pulling my face right to his neck, snuggling me tightly.
“My perfect girl, that was everything I imagined and more. You’re all mine now my love and I’m never letting you go.” He held me to him tightly and let me fall asleep on his chest with my face in his neck where I kissed the little freckle there that I’m in love with before giving into my exhaustion not having realized how much sex actually wears you out.
I woke up the next morning still in his arms and pulled away carefully before looking for my clothes, prepared to go make him breakfast before I noticed myself in the mirror. I have a bite mark in my left breast, covered in dried blood. I was horrified, not that he had bitten me but that it seemed like his teeth had punctured my skin like James' had Bella's wrist...it looked like a vampire bite, and yet I wasn't changing or in pain. No human could have done this and I felt fear running through me immediately, pulling on my clothes and finding my torn shirt. I grabbed Klaus' and pulled it on, grabbing my phone and wallet. I had noticed strange things about him of course, he moved strangely fast and was weirdly strong, but I had seen Elena and Damon do the same things so I brushed it off...maybe I shouldn't have. I'm sure if I had calmed down and thought about things I might have just waited for Klaus to wake and asked him questions but I was in panic mode, meaning my thought process was more frayed than usual. I called a cab and went straight to the airport, not wanting to risk seeing my vampire cousin, needing to get home to where I was protected. I bought a ticket to Seattle and boarded the plane quickly, making it home hours later and getting a cab to Forks. My family was waiting outside as the cab pulled up and they were very confused as I handed the guy cash and walked up the steps, hugging Jasper, letting my tears fall. Alice rubbed my back gently as Jazz lifted me up and carried me inside, up to my room and laid in bed with me, letting me cry it all out. It had to be at least a half hour I spent sobbing before I finally started breathing normally again, I had long since finished thanking god that Alice loved me and didn't mind Jasper laying with me like this when I'm upset, even if they weren't mates. "I'm sorry I ruined your shirt." I whispered and he snorted.
"It's fine, will you tell me what happened now?" I shook my head. "Y/n, did he hurt you? I'll kill him you know."
"I don't think you can Jasper...he's...different...I didn't start noticing things until after we had sex but he's weirdly strong and fast, his eyes change color and he...he..."
"He what?" Jasper asked, suddenly very serious, I could see the Major fighting to come out. I pulled Klaus' shirt off of me, not caring that I was only wearing a bra and showed him the mark that I had cleaned off in the airplane bathroom. "Come here." He lifted me up, carrying me down the stairs quickly.
"Why is she half naked?" Edward asked, not really caring as he read his book.
"Carlisle, she was bitten by a traditional." Everyone gasped except Bella and I, not having a clue what they were talking about.
"What?!" He ran over as Jasper turned me around and Carlisle inspected the bite mark. "Jesus Christ. It's a mating mark, he didn't bite you to feed from you which should make you feel better...or worse..."
"Slightly both...now I understand why his first word when he saw me was 'mate'."
"That didn't tip you off after living with 2 mated couples?" Emmett asked and I glared.
"He covered it up quickly okay? I wasn't looking for signs of vampirism since he didn't have red eyes!"
"No, traditionals keep their eye color unless they're feeding, then they turn black, they get veins under their eyes and fangs." I shook my head.
"His eyes were yellow, not black Carlisle. They flashed yellow whenever he got mad, but he covered it up quickly, I ignored it cause I thought it was cute." He looked at me strangely.
"That is odd. I've never heard of a traditional with yellow eyes. Maybe he feeds off of animals too?"
"I don't think so...that doesn't explain the blood bags in his fridge." They all looked at me as if I had lost my mind. "I ignored the obvious! I get it! I'm sorry that I wanted my boyfriend to be normal! I thought maybe his brother was a vampire and he wasn't, wishful thinking, they're all vampires! Elijah, Klaus, Kol and Bekah!" Carlisle's eyes snapped to me suddenly and he looked like he was going to have a stroke. "Carlisle?"
"Klaus...Klaus Mikaelson?" I nodded. "Niklaus Mikaelson is your mate? Oh good lord."
"What's wrong dear?" Esme asked, quite worried.
"The Mikaelson's are the original vampires, the ones that started the traditional race, strongest beings in the world."
"Well, something good did come out of the human after all, she's gained us a powerful ally against the Volturi, now Bella doesn't need to change!" He cheered, making Bella glare.
"No, you don't understand. Traditionals, the Mikaelson's especially, hate cold ones." Everyone looked at him, suddenly afraid.
"Let's get rid of her then!" Edward glared, holding Bella tightly. I was beginning to believe he is bipolar with that complete 180 he just did.
"NO! Stop suggesting things like that!" Jasper snarled at him.
"Yeah, Mikaelson's or not, she's our sister now Edward." Emmett defended me and Alice stood by my side, wrapping her arms around me, ready to pull me from the room if need be.
"They hate cold ones! He's going to come for her and we all know Jasper isn't going to give her up! I will not die for her!" Edward shouted and before I knew it Jasper was on him. He was ready to pull Edward's head off when Emmett jumped in, dragging them outside and into the front yard to save Esme's house. We all followed them out, standing in the driveway and watching this unfold until a tree was uprooted and thrown at us, knocking the humans to the ground.
"Thank god it was a small tree." Bella groaned as Emmett tossed it away before running back to the fight, Rose and Alice now trying to stop the fighting, getting tossed around as well. Carlisle and Esme lifted Bella and I up, holding us and avoiding the practically flying vampires as they got tossed around. All 5 children kept going at it as a car pulled up the driveway and 4 familiar people stepped out. All of them stepped around the fight and walked over to us, Klaus growling, making Carlisle release me as I continued picking twigs from my hair.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but that was no reason to run like that love, I was planning to tell you the truth this morning." He told me as he began helping me with my hair.
"Jasper protects me...I got scared and I knew I was safe with him...I'm sorry." He nodded, looking at the fight that was somehow still going on. Kol was cradling Bella into his arms and whispering to her, she looked shocked and like she was about to be sick.
"Kol found his mate." Klaus chuckled and I looked at him stunned. "So did Rebekah and Elijah, maybe you running was a good thing, eh love?" I nodded, seeing Rebekah keeping an eye on Jasper along with Elijah looking at Alice and I grinned, happy that I didn't have to lose my brother and sister. "No love." Klaus said when I tried to pull away and I sighed.
"Just wait a minute." I stepped closer to the fight and screamed, trying to sound scared. "JASPER!" His head popped up like a meerkat and he shoved Emmett into Edward, quickly sweeping me into his arms and snarling at everyone. "Alright Jazz, I just did that to stop the fighting, you were the one they were all trying to stop you idiot."
"He suggested killing you kitten, what was I supposed to do?" He growled and I 'grr'ed back at him, making him let me go before forcing his head up to look at Rebekah. His eyes went wide and turned black before lifting me and placing me into Klaus' arms. "Don't let Edward near her." Klaus nodded, looking unsure about him before he sped over to Rebekah and held her tightly, smiling when he saw Alice and Elijah already holding each other. I looked away, not wanting to interrupt their private moments as I looked to Klaus.
"So, vampire and werewolf, that's pretty cool. Is that why your eyes turn yellow?" He looked at me shocked. "Yeah, I ignored all the odd things, praying your brother was a vampire and it would explain the blood bags in your fridge, but I'll get used to it. I got used to cold ones and shifters, I can get used to traditionals and werewolves."
He smiled, and god did I love that smile, it lit up his whole face. "Yes, I am both, I will explain later. For now I need to figure out why one of these two gentleman wants to kill you." He was staring at Emmett and Edward but Emmett quickly removed himself from the situation and went to Rose who was standing beside Jasper and Rebekah. "You threatened my mate? I don't take kindly to threats child, not against me or my family, but you're making threats against my very human mate...that is just unacceptable."
"Carlisle said you hated cold ones, I didn't want you coming here and hurting my family." He tried to explain but I wasn't letting him get away with that.
"No, you got pissed because for a split second you thought I would be useful to you. He thought he could get you to go against the Volturi for him when he found out how powerful you are, he wants Bella to stay human. I was a stupid human that you couldn't care less about until you thought you could use me to get your way! Don't lie!" I could see how angry Klaus was but honestly I didn't care, I would love to see him tear Edward apart.
"Niklaus, don't." Kol said, placing a hand on his shoulder when Klaus put me down and went for him.
"Are you going to tell me we should give these people a chance?" He growled, his eyes bleeding to yellow and his teeth sharpening.
"Yes, most of them, however this boy is mine. He's been stringing Bella along, claiming her as his mate." Klaus looked at him shocked but stood down, allowing his brother to tear Edward apart, and he did quite happily.
"Please? Please, just give us his body, we'll take him from here, you'll never see him again...please?" Kol wasn't about to stop as Klaus pulled a lighter from his pocket. I looked into Carlisle's eyes and looked at Bella who was clearly thinking the same thing, jumping into action with me. I moved at the last possible second, as Kol lit the flame and tossed it. I caught it and tossed it away quickly as pain shot through my hand and Bella grabbed ahold of Kol before he could try again.
"Jesus love, what the hell?" Klaus held my burned hand in his, not understanding in the least why I would do that.
"He made my life miserable, I hated him, he lied to my friend and his entire family and I want him dead more than anything..."
"Okay, then let me-"
"But we won't do that to Carlisle and Esme. They've given us so much, we owe them a hell of a lot, the least we can do is make sure our mates don't kill their son." Bella explained, holding onto Kol tightly and looking at him as if pleading.
"Please Nik? If he ever comes near us again he's all yours, just let him go for now?" He sighed, looking to Kol who was clearly pissed but nodded.
"Thank you...thank you girls!" Esme cried, hugging us to her tightly.
"This is a onetime thing, I'm not going to stop Nik from killing people, I can already tell my life is going to be full of people trying to get me to make him show them mercy, you're a murderous psychopath aren't you?" He looked sheepish but nodded none the less. "I love everything about you Nik, you know that. I won't do this again, if he tries to hurt me or Bella once more, he is done." I told the Cullen's and they nodded.
"Of course, I'm sure once we talk to him we can change his mind, we would never want you girls hurt." Carlisle spoke.
"We should go." Elijah spoke to his siblings who all nodded.
"He's right, we have a hotel to check into." Rebekah told them as Klaus tossed her the keys.
"We'll call you tomorrow Carlisle." Alice promised as she ran inside before coming back 10 seconds later with bags for all 4 of us, jumping into the front of the car on Elijah's lap.
"I guess I'm driving? How are we doing this?" Nik smirked, lifting me and darting to the back of the escalade, laying down the third row of seats and physically tossing me in, laying himself on top of me. Kol sat with Bella pressed against his side while Jasper was on her other in the second row, Rebekah starting the car as Nik leaned down, kissing the side of my neck, loving the fact that I was already wearing no shirt as he kissed his way down to my mark, licking over it.
"How is it that he's already feeling her up?" Kol asked, gesturing to us.
"Hey! I've put the work in! I've been wooing her for 2 weeks, that's longer than I've ever pursued anyone in my 1000 years of life, leave us be and take Bella to dinner!" Nik hissed and I looked at him shocked.
"2 weeks is the longest you've waited for sex?" He nodded, not ashamed at all.
"I never cared about those women, they were never meant to last, I would wait 10 years for you if that's what you needed." I smiled, seeing the honesty in his eyes, he definitely wouldn't be happy about it but he would wait.
"Good thing you don't have to do that." I grinned, pulling him down to kiss me. He was laying on his side blocking everyone from seeing me as his hand found its way into my pants. I gasped as his finger grazed my clit and he kissed me deeply to swallow anymore noises.
"Niklaus, I don't know what you're doing but it needs to stop!" Rebekah hissed.
"Yeah Y/n, I love you, but you're my sister and I don't want to hear about what you do, let alone see it." Jasper growled.
"I don't know what you're talking about sister, I'm kissing my mate, that is all, we are still fully clothed, besides her lack of shirt of course." Nik sunk 2 fingers into me as he said that and my mouth fell open, no noise coming out as he smirked down at me, happy to see my expression.
My hand found the back of his head, holding his hair in a tight grip as he pulled my bra down with his teeth, sucking one of my nipples into his mouth. I had to bite my hand to keep his siblings from knowing of our actions. I found it a major turn on that all one of them had to do was turn around and we would be caught, it was just making it all the more exciting to me. Nik's thumb grazed over my clit and I could tell I was drawing blood as I continued biting my hand and he switched nipples. He looked up at me a moment later as I began squeezing around his fingers, he somehow looked smug with his lips around my tit. He pumped a little faster and pressed his thumb against my clit harder, shoving me closer and closer to the edge.
"We're here! I found it!" Bekah yelled just as Nik grazed his teeth down, tossing me over the edge and kissing me again, pulling his hand away and swallowing my scream as Bekah parked the car. Jasper opened the back of the car so we could get out and Nik practically had to hold me up as my legs gave out from under me.
"That good?" He whispered and I made a noise of contentment against his chest. "I brought your things from Elena's so you have something to wear, plus what Alice packed."
"Thanks Nik, you're so sweet. Are you always going to be this sweet or is this just for the dating phase of our relationship?" He laughed as he pulled his bag down as well.
"You are the only one who will see this side of me, who I was when I was human, I was a very nice, fairly shy person, I thought that part of me died a long time ago, but you brought me back. Besides that I think we’re a little beyond dating, baby."
I blushed as he walked us into the hotel, all his siblings quickly renting a room for the night, Jasper of course paying for his and Rebekah's like a gentleman. Nik looked ready to say something as they walked away hand in hand but I held tight to him. "Don't, Rebekah is a grown women, and Jasper is the kindest man I have ever met. He has a rough background but he is a complete gentleman and will treat her with the utmost respect. Give him a chance." Nik looked down at me for a moment before going to the desk to get us a room. I locked eyes with Rebekah as she got into the elevator and mouthed 'thank you' at me. "Some part of me likes the fact that you're only like this with me. It's selfish but I can't find it in myself to care." He smirked, pulling me to his side tightly in the elevator moments later.
"You are my mate, you will always be most important." My eyes widened as I looked at the numbers on the screen, seeing we were now up to the 20th floor.
"Jesus, how high is our room?" I looked at him and he smirked but tried to hide it. We stopped at a floor only 3 away from the top, making me sigh in relief that he didn't get us the penthouse suite however the floor was marked 'H' and I was confused. As we walked off I noticed there was only one door in the hallway and one at the end. We walked all the way to the one at the end and I thought I would faint when I saw the label. 'Honeymoon Suite'. "NIK!" He shushed me quickly, opening the door and ushering me in. "We are not married."
"Of course not, but this room is open until next week and we're only staying a night or 2, I told you that you will want for nothing in life, I'm going to give you everything, and that includes fancy hotel rooms." The entire room was a soft blue color, the giant bed was bigger than a normal king size and was calling to me, I could practically hear it, but when I stepped further in I honestly thought I would have a stroke. There, on the far side of the wall, was a giant hot tub.
"I was going to say we should go out for dinner with your family, but let's not do that-" I spoke dropping my bag and stumbling into the room. "-let's stay right here-" I slid my shoes off, kicking them away. "-spend the entire night together-" I unbuttoned my pants, ready to continue before feeling Nik's arms around me, halting my motions. "No, I wanna get in, I want it." I whined and he laughed at my childishness.
"We will love, however it's late and you need to eat. Look at the room service menu first." I glanced at it as he went into the bathroom, quickly writing down what I wanted on a pad of paper and turning on the jets, pouring lavender oil in and stripping.
"I wrote down my order." I smiled, pointing at the table when he came out and saw me in the hot tub.
"You act like you've never been in a hot tub before." He laughed, going to the phone and dialing it before pausing when he saw my face. "You haven't?" I shook my head, relaxing as he ordered the food quickly and came to sit by my side. "You never told me much about your life before the Cullen's." I shrugged, not really wanting to talk about it. "Please tell me? I want to know everything about you love."
I sighed, sinking deeper into the warm water, knowing eventually I would need to tell this man the truth, no matter how ugly it is. "My parents were assholes, I was an only child and the only reason they got married was because my mom got pregnant with me in high school. They resented me for taking their lives away, mom never went to college, worked shitty jobs and my dad went to school for god knows what, dropped out 2 years in and spent the rest of his life drunk. I still don't know how they paid rent, I can't count how many times our water or electricity got shut off, barely ever had money for food but they had enough money to drink. I got a job when I was 14 and kept it to myself, finally had enough money to feed myself a little, do my laundry more than once a month. I never really had any friends until Bella moved to town, she sat with me to avoid the popular bitches that wanted to get to know her, soon after she got obsessed with Edward Cullen and figured out they were vampires, she came and told me right away and she started hanging out with them, dragging me to sit at lunch with them more often than not. Jasper took a liking to me right away, he couldn't smell my blood and I suppose it relaxed him, Bella ended up staying over one day when I was there and Jasper took me home, I couldn't get him to just leave me up the street like Bella did, I suppose because he felt my nerves. He was horrified when he saw my shitty house, it was a crap place on the edge of town, lawn was covered in empty beer bottles and shit, my dad was passed out on the porch, I thought he was going to have a stroke. I guess he came back later that night to check on me and heard my dad screaming, I don't remember much, my dad was standing over me kicking my ribs in, and then he was across the room. Jasper took me and never looked back. Carlisle got my parents to sign adoption papers and picked up everything I needed and I haven't seen them since." I gave that whole speech while staring up at the ceiling, not wanting to see Nik's face when I told him everything.
"You will never have to live like that again love, you will be spoiled and pampered every day of your life, do you understand me? Anything you want, you ask and it will be yours." I giggled at the conviction in his voice, he was completely serious.
"Nik, I don't need a lot in life, a place to sleep, food and clean clothes, it's all I need besides you."
"Those are basic necessities of life, no one should be deprived of them, especially a child, I'm so sorry you went through that." I shrugged. "Don't shrug it off, it's a big deal, you spent your life hungry and abused, don't pretend it doesn't matter." I leaned over the edge of the tub and kissed him, shutting him up finally as there was a knock on the door. He jumped up and took the cart of food from the man before I hopped out, drying off and hopping into the bed seeing my mates stunned face as I sat naked on the bed waiting for him. "Jesus love, you're trying to kill me."
"You can't eat with me naked?" He smirked and I knew it was a dangerous look on him.
Somehow I ended up with my tray of food beside my head, laying on the bed with my mate inspecting every inch of my body and kissing it. "God you're so beautiful." I finished my French fries and knew there was physically no way I could cut my steak in this position.
"If you want me to stay here then you're cutting my steak for me."
"That's fine, I don't trust you with a steak knife anyway." I snorted at that as he sat up and did what I asked of him, feeding me himself.
"Nik, I can do that part, I-"
"Nope, I want you to stay in this position and relax."
"This is ridiculous." I laughed, continuing to eat what he gave me until I was finished and we spent the rest of the night in the hot tub. I never once in my life thought I would have sex in a hot tub but I can cross it off my bucket list.
Tumblr media
"Nik, we need to get ready." I groaned as he held me tightly in the bed. Everyone had agreed to go to lunch together at 12 and that was 2 hours from now.
"We have plenty of time, you need to relax." I sighed and he kissed my head, jumping up and walking towards the hot tub, looking at the oils that were there.
"What are you doing?" I mumbled into my pillow but he still understood somehow.
"These aren't just for the tub, they can be used for many things." My eyes went wide as I took in what he had just said and he laughed when he understood where my mind had gone. "Jesus Rebel, no! You would need much more preparation than oil for that."
"I'm so glad you've thought that out so well." He came back over and grabbed my ankles, pulling me down the bed so I was flat on it and he poured some oil onto my back, straddling my waist and beginning to rub it into my skin, making me moan. He worked out all the knots in my muscles and I was practically jelly when he got to the bottom of my back. "Your hands are magic. I don't want you to stop." He chuckled, leaning down and kissing my shoulder.
"Who said I was stopping." He moved down so he was straddling my legs as he began massaging my butt.
"Is this weird...this feels weird?" By the time he was finished he had massaged all the way down both of my legs and insisted upon my chest, though I believe that was just for his benefit, before dressing me and pulling me down to the elevator, and to the restaurant.
"Why do you smell like lavender?" Jasper questioned as I sat down next to him.
"My new shampoo?" I lied.
"No...it's stronger than that...and it's all over you..." At this point Alice took a sniff of me and so did Bella.
"I don't have vampire senses but I can smell that, what is it?" Nik looked like he was going to explode from holding his laughter in too long.
"Nik rubbed me down with lavender oil from the hot tub." I stated and it whipped the smirk off his face when everyone turned to look at him.
"You rubbed my sister down?" Jasper snarled and Nik had the decency to look afraid.
"You already knew we had sex-"
"Yes, sex, it's a onetime thing, not rubbing someone down, inspecting every inch of their body." He turned to me and I shook my head, seeing him sigh and turn back to Rebekah as she ordered her food.
Nik looked at me curiously. "What was that?"
"What?"
"That, with you and Jasper." I shrugged and knew immediately he wasn't going to let it go. We all ate comfortably, getting to know each other a little more before deciding to stay in the hotel for a while to show them all around.
"Tell me." And I sighed.
"Nik, let it go."
"Not until you tell me." We were walking around Port Angeles together and I found a cute little book store.
"Look, let's go to the bookstore!" I walked in and got him involved in all the books, knowing we would be here for quite a while now.
I had worked very hard the entire time we had been together to cover up the scars all over my stomach. I had Alice help me find the right kind of makeup that I needed. It's water proof and it covers the scars perfectly, I just reapply it every morning and wash it off with rubbing alcohol. I figured if I could wait until I was turned he would never see them, but he wants to know and understand everything I went through so badly, I would feel bad for lying to him. While he was distracted I went to the car and got a few packets of alcohol wipes that I use, taking it to the bathroom and rubbing the makeup off.
"Hey, did you find something you like?" I asked him.
"Yeah, a few things. I've never actually been to Port Angeles before, but I really like it." I nodded, knowing I would regret this later.
"Give me the keys. I'm going to take you somewhere." He was confused by that, he knows I don't like driving, but he gave them to me anyway and I began our journey back to Forks.
"Are you showing me your old school or something? I'm confused. I've already seen your house." I turned to my old street right at the edge of town.
"No you haven't..." I mumbled and he looked at me confused for a moment, before realizing what I was doing.
"Love, no. I just wanted you to tell me the truth, I didn't want to take you back to a place you hate so much. You don't have to do this."
"Yes I do. There it is." I pointed to the house out of the passenger side window. It was old and rundown. The paint was chipping off, the roof was falling apart, the screen door was hanging on by one hinge and the yard was covered in beer bottles, jack bottles and trash.
"That...doesn't look like it's fit for human life..." I snorted, knowing that was damn true. I parked the car across the street and got out. "What are you doing?"
"Showing you, my dad's truck isn't here and there's no light's on in the living room, which means mom is gone. Come on." I opened the door, which was never locked, no one in town was stupid enough to just walk into our house.
"What is that smell?"
"Good question. In all the years I lived here, I never did figure that out. I remember this." I picked up the bat that dad always left by the front door. "Dad hit me in the head with it the first time I was out late with the Cullen's." I took his finger and brought it to the back of my head letting him feel the dent.
"Jesus Christ. Rebel, you-"
"Never thought I would see you again." There was a giant rat sitting on the kitchen table. "Ever seen Cheaper by the dozen 2?" He shook his head, in awe of how big the rat was. "There was a rat in that movie called The Chizler, that's what I've called him since I was 5...he just won't die."
"Do you want me to kill it?"
"Nahh, if my dad came home and he was dead he would know someone was in here. Come on." I led him to the stairs and turned to him. "Step where I step." He looked startled by that but nodded. I remembered the old ways to step up our stairs without falling through like a combination. "This was my room." I opened the door and it was just as I left it. There was a dirty mattress on the floor with a pillow case on it stuffed with newspaper that you could see falling out of it. The wall paper was ripped all over, there was old school work and water bottles on the floor, but it was about as clean as it could have been. The closet door was held on by god knows what, full of moth eaten clothes. He looked around for a moment before turning back and grabbing my arm.
"Let's go, I'm getting you out of here."
"Wait, you haven't seen what I came to show you yet. He always left it in here somewhere, made me get it at night...mom never let him use it on her, so it must be here, where would...ah ha! Here it is." I held up a whip with a metal handle and leather strips, tiny metal tips on the end of each one. The look on his face when I held it out to him broke my heart, he looked like he was ready to fall to his knees and bawl his eyes out, he looked crushed. "Alice found me some great makeup...you can't even tell I wear it, completely water proof, rubbing alcohol gets it off." I lifted the front of my shirt and allowed him to see the scars upon my stomach, an area my father picked because it was the easiest for a person to hide. He fell to his knees in front of me and touched them lightly as if he was going to hurt me otherwise. "I was going to keep them covered until I was turned but...you wanted to know what Jasper was talking about. He knows better than anyone about being ashamed of your scars...he wanted to make sure you didn't say anything about it if I had shown you." He kissed my stomach a bunch of times, wrapping his arms around my waist and hugging me with his face against my belly.
"Thank you for trusting me love...I'm so sorry you had to go through that." He stood, hugging me to his chest. "Let's get out of here. You never have to see this house again." I nodded, following him before ducking into my parents' room and running to open my mom's top drawer. "What are you doing?"
"Ruining my mom's month." I chuckled, grabbing her pill bottles, dumping them all out on the bed and taking the bottle of brandy by dad's side of the bed, dumping it over top of them and ruining them all. "We can go now. Step where I step." I walked down the stairs and out the front door with him quickly.
"Never again love, I promise." He said as I turned to look back at it. Apparently I looked a moment too long because we missed the truck pull into the short driveway.
"Look who came back." That voice sent chills up my spine as I turned my head and looked at my father. He was a beaten down looking man, long beard and hair, my mom however would have been fairly pretty, if she hadn't done drugs, she looked like she had been on meth for her entire life. "Thought you had moved into that rich doctor's house to be their little whore." I jumped as he shouted at me and Nik's arms went around me immediately.
"Glad you finally came for a visit sweetie. Brought someone with you too, how did this happen?" I grabbed onto his hand and pulled him towards the car.
"Come back here whore!" To my horrible displeasure I stopped, having a near chemical need to obey that voice, knowing how bad it gets when I don't, but Nik held me firmly, pulling me along and I didn't fight him. "The Cullen's stole the bitch once, who are you to do it again?" He growled and this time Nik stopped, turning to look at my father.
"I'm her boyfriend...in fact...this isn't the most romantic setting, but I've been wanting to do this for a while." He turned to me and pulled out a velvet box, getting onto one knee. "I love you, more than I've ever loved anyone in my life, I know we haven't been together long but I know you're it for me. I will love you and cherish you every day of your life. You've seen that I can take care of you, I will gladly give you everything you've ever wanted, now will you make my wish come true and allow me to call you my wife?" I was stunned, I couldn't find my voice for a few seconds, this being the least likely way I ever thought I would get proposed to.
"Yes. I love you Nik, so much!" I felt tears in my eyes and for once on this property, it wasn't out of pain and fear. He slid the ring on my finger and held me to his chest tightly, looking back at my father.
"I'm her soon to be husband, and I can promise you that after this day, you will never see your daughter again. You tortured her all her life and now, I'm going to treat her like the princess she deserves to be treated as. You have one last chance to say goodbye." My father's face was growing red and I thought he was going to explode at this rate. "Get into the car love." He instructed, taking the keys back, waiting until I did, just in case my father tried anything, though my mother stopped me.
"Sweetie, what do you think you're doing? First you run off and join the most perfect family that ever lived and now you're running off with Mr. Richy Rich over here, and leaving us with nothing?" I chuckled slightly, before getting back out.
"You're right mom, I actually do have something for you." She smirked and I walked over, Nik right behind me as I pulled out a 10 dollar bill from my wallet. "This is for the 10 bucks I stole from you when I was 15 so I could go to the movies with Bella and Jasper. You didn't have cigarettes for 3 days so...I'm sorry." I said as sincerely as possible, running back to the car as she looked ready to kill me and Nik hit the gas, laughing his ass off.
"Did you really steal 10 dollars from her?" I nodded.
"Yeah. Edward and Bella were going to the movies and Jasper invited me to go with them, and obviously it wasn't a date so I didn't want him to have to pay for me. It was the first time I had ever been to the movies."
"What did you see?"
"Pirates of the Caribbean 4. It was good, I love Johnny Depp." He laughed out loud with me as we were about to turn back out of Forks. "Wait...I have a ring on my finger..."
"Yes...we got engaged. It comes with a ring love."
"We need to go to the Cullen's. You can stay between Edward and I but I have to show Esme, please?" He sighed, but relented, driving us back there. When we got up the driveway they were all waiting on the porch, obviously not knowing we were coming.
"Y/n? Is everything okay?" Carlisle worried and I nodded.
"Yeah, I wanted Klaus to see where I lived before I moved in with you." They all looked shocked, knowing I had sworn never to go back there, I had never told anyone but Jasper the whole truth about that place.
"You must be something special." Esme spoke to Klaus as she walked down the steps and he looked at her curiously. "She's never told anyone but Jasper the truth about that house." She pulled me into her arms and I truly loved her mom hugs.
"I wanted you to be the first to know...you're the closest thing to a real mom I've ever had." She smiled at me happily, knowing it was true and that I thought of her as my real mom. I held out my hand and she gasped, looking back between us and pulling Klaus into the hug as well, nearly crushing us both.
"AHH!" Rose screamed from where she stood on the porch beside Emmett, whooshing down here to hug me followed by Emmett and Carlisle. Edward wisely stayed on the porch offering a quiet 'congratulations'.
"I'm glad you've found your forever darling. I always knew you would, I just thought I would end up having to turn him." Carlisle teased before shaking Klaus' hand. "Thank you for taking care of her. I may not know everything but I know enough, and I know she needed you in her life." Klaus nodded.
"Thank you. I'll bring her to visit whenever she wants so keep her updated when you move." I gave Esme and Rose my new phone number, Emmett and Carlisle being able to get it from them before getting back into the car.
"Now we just have to tell Alice and your sister...Lord help us all when I tell Alice. She's going to want to plan everything." He was laughing at me like I was going to suffer through that alone. "You will be helping."
"No. No, no, see that's where you're wrong. I will be paying for every little thing my Princess wants on her big day. You will plan, with whoever you want, and I will give you...this." He handed me something from his jacket pocket and I took it curiously until I saw it was a black credit card with my name on it.
"You're insane. I can't take this! I-"
"-Am going to be my wife, what's mine is yours."
"But I can't say the same thing to you, I don't have anything."
"You are enough, money doesn't mean anything to me, it's just something that piles up after so many years, it only really matters when you don't have any. I promised you the day of your dreams when I proposed to you, it's a requirement of marriage. All you need to do for me is tell me what kind of suit you want me in and what day to show up." He teased, taking my hand in his and driving us back towards the hotel. "Elijah texted me. They're in the restaurant waiting on us for dinner." I nodded as we pulled in and walked towards the table where our family was at.
"There you two are. Where have you been?" Bella scolded teasingly.
"Y/n was showing me her old home." Not a second later the water that Jasper had been fake drinking was all over the seat next to him, that thankfully had no one in it.
"You what? Why?" He questioned, knowing how hard it was for me just because he had seen it accidentally.
"What's the big deal?" Kol wondered, He, Elijah and Rebekah knowing nothing about my life before the Cullen's at all.
"Nothing, it's...um..." Jasper couldn't seem to think of a lie, not wanting to lie to his mate anyway.
"My father was an abusive drunk, my mom was a drug addict, my house was falling apart, it was a mess inside, I barely had food in the house, the electricity and water got shut off every other month and my pillow at night was stuffed with newspaper. Is that it?" I asked Nik who's jaw was hanging open. "I feel like I have to tell the truth someday and I feel a lot better about how I left this time as opposed to last time."
Jasper looked proud of me and I felt Nik snake his arm around my waist, kissing my head. "You never told me that, I knew he was mean to you but I never would have brought you home every night if you had told me." Bella said and I smiled.
"It's okay Bells-"
"No, it's not. I let you go back to that." Kol wrapped his arm around her and I made her look at me.
"If you had done something then, my life wouldn't have turned out like it did now, you wouldn't know Kol, you'd still be getting married to Edward, I would have been put into the system. Maybe, Maybe aunt Carols and I would have still met Nik but I doubt it. Everything worked out." I comforted her, placing my hand on hers before Alice gasped.
"Is that an engagement ring?!" Everyone looked at my hand and I looked at Nik
"I'm telling you, she spots these things a mile away. You can help, HELP me plan, it's still my wedding, you have your own to dream about someday, and god save Elijah when that day comes." Rebekah looked at me but didn't seem to know how to say it. "You can help too Bekah." She grinned, squealing before getting up to hug her brother, sitting back down. The girls all spoke about it for the rest of dinner while the guys congratulated and prayed for Klaus.
"Come on love. Let's go to bed." I grabbed my bag when we got back to the room, going to take a quick shower before getting out, dressing and applying the makeup to my stomach and going back to bed. Nik pulled me to him, kissing along my neck and I almost regretted putting on clothes as they were just going to come off. As he kissed down my neck and sighed as he pulled my shirt off to find I had reapplied the makeup. "Love...why did you put it back on? Come here." He lifted me up and taking me to the bathroom where he cleaned off all of the make up. "I love you, no scars are going to change that, do you understand?" He growled and I nodded quickly.
"Thank you Nik. I love you too. Always."
"And forever." He finished, sounding cheesy.
"You're a goof!" I laughed and he smirked.
"But I'm your goof-". He held up my hand with the ring on it to show me. "-until death do us part."
neither Aaron or Andrew had many birthday celebrations as a kid. as a result, they don't like celebrating it the older they get.
Tilda had always told Aaron that birthdays weren't special, and he shouldn't get different treatment because he's another year older. but he'd see her go on extravagant trips for her birthday, leaving him home with some relative he didn't know. she'd come home drunk or high and pretend Aaron didn't exist. he thought he wasn't special enough, and it took him years to figure out that she didn't care about him.
Andrew doesn't remember a single party he had thrown for him, but he knows there was at least one. one of his first foster parents gave Andrew a small booklet of pictures of him and his other foster siblings. near the back of the booklet were pictures of a tiny Andrew, his blond hair and chubby hands streaked with blue frosting. he guessed he had been turning two in those pictures.
the first birthday they spent together with Nicky, he tried to throw a party for them. it wasn't anything big, just him and a few of Aaron's friends from high school.
Aaron and Andrew had been out together before, and Nicky hadn't told them what he planned. when they came back to Nicky's house mildly decorated, and two small cakes with each of their names on it, they both froze.
Andrew moved first, walking out of the kitchen and back to the front door, slamming it shut when he was out. Aaron had only turned to see Andrew move, too shocked to move from where he was standing himself.
"goddammit," Nicky whispered. he looked to Aaron. "are you okay?"
Aaron hadn't realized, but his eyes started to become glassy. he tried to move his feet but couldn't. he felt as if they were cemented to the floor.
"i've never had this before," he responded, his voice shaking slightly. "i don't think he has either."
Aaron had never seen someone's heart physically break until he saw Nicky's expression drop and his body slump.
"shit, i didn't mean to trigger anything. i'm sorry, i just wanted to do something for you guys."
Aaron finally felt like he could move. he slowly walked over to Nicky and put his hand on his shoulder.
"thank you."
Nicky didn't say anything back, he just nodded and stepped back.
----
the party was good. they didn't do much, just ate and watched a movie, but Aaron didn't think he could handle much more than that.
Andrew hadn't returned since he stormed out a few hours earlier, so Aaron messaged him.
Aaron: where are you?
he waited for a response, but when he didn't get one he messaged him again.
Aaron: i can bring you your cake. Nicky said it was chocolate.
Andrew: red house
Aaron knew where Andrew was talking about. he got up and went over to the kitchen. Nicky had put Andrew's cake back in its box. Aaron opened the box and took two forks from the drawer, put them in the box with the cake, and walked back towards the front door.
"i'll be back in a bit," he said to Nicky. "thank you for coming," he said to the small group of his friends. he got a chorus of 'no problem' and 'of course' in response before he was out the door and walking down to the red house.
the red house was on the corner of the street they lived on. the owner of the house sometimes lets Aaron and Andrew go in to play with their great dane called Milo, who adores Andrew. the elderly couple that lived there let Andrew walk Milo, or sit with him in their front porch when they were out of the house or away.
Andrew was sitting in the front steps of the red house, Milo laying in the porch behind him. he played with the pack of his cigarettes, craving a smoke, but not daring to smoke near Milo.
“happy birthday,” Aaron said, passing him the cake box.
Andrew scowled at him, but Aaron sat on the porch behind Andrew, scratching Milo’s head. once Andrew opened the box and picked his fork up, Aaron did as well, lowering himself to sit beside Andrew.
they didn’t talk. they ate Andrew’s cake in relative silence, the only sounds being heard was the autumn wind, the occasional car, and Milo’s snores.
"I'm glad I got to see you tonight, I've missed my princess," he leaned across the table to nuzzle his nose against yours gently, and you returned the same motion with a soft giggle.
"I've missed you too," you replied, "it's about time you made some time for me," you added.
"Well, you know, Tokyo keeps me busy," he told you with a chuckle, "but I had to take my best girl out, I know how lonely she gets without me around," he teased.
You giggled and propped your elbow up on the dinner table, balancing your chin in your hand as you held his gaze. He was smiling and shaking his head at you, mimicking your pose, only he rested both elbows on the table and cupped his face with his hands as he looked at you from across the table.
"You look beautiful in that dress by the way, but what else is new, huh?" he winked and broke eye contact for a moment to admire the dress that perfectly hugged your figure, "I'm glad you wore it."
You giggled again at that and twirled a small section of hair around your index finger, smiling down at your lap for a moment before you looked back up at him.
"I'm glad you wore that suit and tie. You should wear it more often, because you clean up pretty well," you grinned and leaned forward slightly to whisper, "by the way, you're really pretty too."
"Am I really pretty?" he joked and batted his lashes, letting his jaw hang slack with a smirk that tugged at the corners of his mouth over the way you instantly cracked up laughing. He chuckled airily as he continued to look you up and down, and you had to turn away in attempt to hide the deep blossoming of your cheeks.
"Yes, you're very pretty," you said with a soft chuckle when you turned back to him.
..
"Good evening, can I get you anything?"
A young waitress made her way onto the scene before Gojo could respond to you, and she appeared to be addressing just him rather than both of you. She beamed brightly at him and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, letting out a hint of a giggle that you couldn't help but roll your eyes at.
"Some menus would be nice," he grinned up at her and she flaunted her smile right back at him, making it a mission to maintain eye contact for as long as possible and throw in a bat of the lashes here and there.
"I'll go get those for you right now," she bowed her head and smiled softly, but she didn't leave until she'd make a point of leaning towards him slightly to tell him, "by the way, that tie looks great on you, really compliments your complexion."
She was already flirting with him right in front of you whilst being so brazen about it, and it was really taking everything in you not to totally snap. You didn't want dinner to be spoiled by your temper, though, you could already feel yourself starting to lose your appetite because you were red hot with anger right now. You sat there silently and waited for her to leave, gritting your teeth and casting your gaze downward the entire time.
"Thank you very much," he thanked her before she walked away and when he turned back around to face you, he was greeted by raised brows, pursed lips and your eyes glimmering for the wrong reasons. You half-smirked at him and cleared your throat whilst picking at your nails to avoid looking up at him.
"I think she's expecting a tip from you tonight," you managed to make a joke out of it and mustered a small laugh.
He chuckled lightly and acted completely dismissive about it, waving it off as her following some sort of transcript, "It's just service with a smile, Y/N."
He insisted, but you just forced a smile on your face. You fiddled with the cutlery that rested to your side and toyed with the napkin as well, offering yourself a distraction rather than look up at him for the moment.
"Yeah, too many smiles in your direction, though, if you ask me," you sassed, and he laughed loudly at that.
"Babe, something the matter?" he raised an eyebrow curiously, an amused grin on his face. Before you had the time to open your mouth and retort, she soon returned with the menus.
She carelessly laid yours down in front of you while she actually handed Gojo his, making sure to brush her hand over his as she did so. You glared at her but your look went missed, and you were doing a pretty good job of keeping your mouth shut so far, no matter how badly you wanted to tell this girl to back off.
She started babbling on about something that he should try on the menu, ensuring to flash him her smile and bat her lashes some more. She was giggling like he had told the funniest joke, and you were clutching onto a fork tightly with a hand, thinking about digging it deep into her neck. Gojo was a bad influence on you. She brought her hand closer to his so she could flip through the pages and show him exactly what she was describing. You cleared your throat and decided to speak up, because this girl was getting on your last nerve.
"Could you give us a few moments to decide what we're having? Thank you," you gave her possibly the most painfully forced smile you could muster, somehow managing to keep a level head when she withdrew her hand and acknowledged you for the first time since she'd stop at your table. She simply nodded and smiled meekly before walking away, and Gojo’s bright blue eyes shot towards you to give you a look that was nothing short of sheer surprise at how sharp you'd been in your manner of speech.
"Did I miss something?" he cracked up laughing, "My little kitten's got a sharp set of claws, eh?" he remarked before his laughter starting to die down. "I thought she was a rather nice lady," he said with another chuckle.
He scanned over the menu to find a dish that stood out to him. You squinted at him and leaned into him, lightly bringing the menu down to have him look you in the eyes instead.
"Really, Satoru? I wouldn't class the light touches on the hand, the needless giggling and overall acting like a fucking schoolgirl with a crush as just 'being nice'," you snapped slightly, "she's flirting with you, a lot, and I'm sick of it."
"Oh, I see where this is going," he said with a knowing smirk that stretched its way across his lips a few seconds later. You noticed this and your hand targeted your menu in an instant as some form of shield to hide behind to avoid the stares he was giving you, and he lowered your menu down just like you had done to him.
"I think somebody's jealous when she really doesn't need to be," he sang and kept his eyes trained on your face. "So what if she's flirting a little bit? I'm not interested in the slightest," he told you, and you heaved a sigh before he continued, "you have nothing to worry about, my sweet," he said with a smirk, amused with your envy.
"Seriously? You mean that?" you asked, nibbling on your lower lip.
"Course I do," he said, "she could be on her knees begging for my cock and I would say no if that'd make you feel better about it," he finished, and you laughed at that.
"I'm not even feeling that hungry anymore," you said, "she's just so irritating," you huffed, and he looked at you like he was thinking of something until his brain hatched an idea.
"Forget about dinner, I know what will cheer you up, c'mon," he stretched his arm out for you to grab his hand, and you quickly took it in yours. He walked with you until you both reached the closest bathroom - the women's room.
"Um, Satoru, I don't think you're supposed to be in here," you quipped with a short giggle.
"Oh trust me, I am," he cooed. Once the door was closed, he lifted you up by your thighs and pinned you to the wall, his lips attacking your neck in little bites and harsh kisses, not caring about the purple marks he left in his wake.
"Satoru," you gasped his name out, much to his delight.
You let out a soft moan of approval through your own lips as you lifted your hips up in absolute desperation, wanting more of him, and wanting it now.
"I only have eyes for you, Y/N, you and only you," he told you as he continued to cover your neck in wet kisses, and you couldn't help lean your head back to give him easier access. Realizing that you both were still out in the open, he carried you into the bathroom stall, pressing you up against the nearest and sturdiest wall.
He tugged his pants down from his hips and quickly pushed his boxers down to his knees, just far enough to allow his thick and fully hard member to spring up. He nearly ripped your panties down your thighs and threw them to the floor, holding you up with one hand and using the other to glide up your thigh, one finger slipping up your wet folds. He grinned knowingly before he leaned in to growl in your ear, "Look at how wet for me you already are," he hummed, "mm, how bad do you want me?"
Just the slightest touch drove you absolutely wild, and you seemed to forget everything that took place before he brought you in this stall. You keened in the back of your throat and rocked your hips down against his finger, moaning out, "Fuck me, Satoru. I need you so bad. Please!" you cried.
"Well when you say it like that, I don't see how I could say no," he cooed. He grasped his member firmly until he was lined up to your entrance, exhaling loudly as he crouched down to push in. He took his time entering your body at first, watching the pleasure overcome your features. Once you had adjusted to his girth, he set a rough pace, taking you quickly in broad deep strokes that jarred your body and caused your head to slam back into the wall as you surrendered yourself to his movements, hips grinding forward in an attempt to keep tempo. He doesn't waste time going slow, knowing you both needed relief fast.
Grasping his shoulders tightly, you moaned, the volume increasing with each thrust until you were sure you would both get caught.
"That's it, let the whole goddamn restaurant know who's fucking you," he managed to say between his own moans and grunts. "You're doing so good, baby, so good," he praised.
You answered with an even louder moan, shoving your hips forward in a demand for him to go faster, grinding your clit against his pelvis whenever you could.
"Your cunt feels so fucking perfect, squeezing me like this, fuck," he ground out.
He obliged your command, snapping his hips into yours relentlessly, the sounds spilling from your lips urging him on.
"You look so good baby, you always do," he uttered through a pant, "you fucking drive me crazy." He quickly added, "Do you know how beautiful you look when you're all stretched out on my cock?"
One hand gripped onto your hair and he tugged backwards just enough to show you dominance as he pounded into you with no mercy, the sounds of your high pitched moans bouncing off the walls, mixed with his deep grunts and the sound of hot skin slapping against skin.
"Look at you, you're always so fucking pretty, so fucking perfect like this," he told you. His hips moved in the most sinful way, filling you up just perfectly, and he seemed to find that special spot inside you so skillfully, making you cry out in ecstasy.
"You like that, baby? You like how good I make you feel? Good girl, moaning for me and showing the entire diner who's gonna make you come," he hissed into your ear as his thrusts became more erratic, slamming into you again and again as he kept his wild pace up.
"Mmmm!" you hummed. You threw your head back and arched your torso sharply, screaming out in pleasure when your body started to quake with the sensation of your orgasm barreling towards you. His fingers left little purple prints on your hips at how tight he was squeezing your hips, knowing you were both close to your climax.
"Show me how much you like it, come for me," he rasped.
He maintained the angle of his thrusts, continually hitting a sensitive spot within your body until you were convulsing in his arms, orgasm rocking you to the very core. He wasn't far behind, taken over the edge by the tight clenching or your walls around his member.
Exhaling loudly, he relaxed his body against yours as you both came down from your peaks. The wall was the only thing keeping you both up as you wilt, exhausted from your spontaneous lovemaking. Finding the energy to pull back, he kissed you gently, running his fingers through your hair to fix the disrupted locks. You smiled into the kiss, body buzzing from your orgasm and heart glowing at his gestures.
You both cleaned up as best as you could in the stall, he helped adjust the skirt of your dress before moving to fix his own disarrayed hair.
"You had no reason to be jealous, Y/N, like I said I only have eyes for your pretty little face," he nuzzled his nose against yours, and you did the same in return, laughing with each other.
"Thank you, Satoru," you said with a soft giggle when you stepped out of the bathroom stall with him.
"Anything for you, babe," he told you as he intertwined his fingers with yours, walking out with you, "now let's go eat," he started, "we can even put on a little show for her under the table so she knows not to mess with you," he suggested with a loud laugh.
"I like the sound of that," you replied with a broad smirk on your face. That wasn't a bad idea.
"I have baggage, not as much as Bucky but.." You stared at Sam, a small hum leaving you.
"So that makes you the better choice?" You tilted your head. Sam chuckled, licking his lips as his head tilted up. He let out a sigh before shrugging.
"Yeah, it kind of does." Sam grinned. You rolled your eyes, chuckling softly. You patted his chest, shaking your head and stepping aside.
"Guess I'll have to think about it." You said, walking away from him.
"Think long and hard about it!" Sam called as you entered the facility. You walked towards your room, entering and noticing flowers on the nightstand. You walked towards it, picking up the note.
'Meet me on the roof at 9 -Bucky'
You smiled softly, smelling the flowers as you sat on the bed. You sighed, placing the note down. Sam and Bucky were both great guys and you cared about both of them. You didn't want to pick between them. You sighed softly, putting the flowers in a vase. You checked the time, taking a quick shower before changing and headed up to the roof. You smiled, seeing Bucky on the roof, staring up at the sky.
"Hey, Ocean Eyes." You greeted, approaching him and taking a seat beside him. Bucky smiled, turning to look at you.
"Hey, tiger." He gently bumped his shoulder with yours. He offered you a box of chocolates, giving a small grin.
"Flowers and chocolates? You really know the way to someones heart." You smiled, opening the box and picking up one of the chocolates.
"Back when we were younger, Steve and I would lay back and look at the stars while listening to some tunes." Bucky said softly, looking up at the sky. You chewed on the chocolate, humming.
"Do you know all the constellations?"
"Only a few.. You?"
"None of them." You giggled, laying back and staring up at the sky. Bucky chuckled, laying down beside you.
"I do like the thought of stars being the souls of people but uh, Carol and the space crew clearly broke that nice dream." You glanced at Bucky. He laughed softly.
"That's sweet. How'd you come up with that?"
"Disney." You replied, scanning the stars from a constellation.
"In Lion King, Mufasa said that the stars were pass kings and in The Princess and The Frog, Ray joins Evangeline when he passes." You giggled softly.
"Princess and The Frog?" Bucky repeated, brows furrowed. You blinked, sitting up and staring down at him.
"Excuse me, you don't know about Tiana and Naveen? The shadow man?" You asked in shock and slight offense. Bucky chuckled, shaking his head.
"Oh my god, you're missing the fuck out. It's a great movie. We need to watch it together." You smiled widely.
"Add it to the list of things we have to watch together." Bucky said, gently taking your hand and lacing your fingers with his.
~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey, Wanda. It's (Y/N)... Again. We haven't spoken in a few months. I don't want to bother you too much but I'm worried. Just.. Just send a message saying you're okay." You sighed softly, hanging up after finishing the voicemail. You sighed, getting out of the car and entering the apartment building. You went up the stairs and walked towards your apartment, unlocking the door and entering.
"Babe?" You called, closing the door behind you. You looked up, seeing Bucky with a new haircut. You blinked, brows raising.
"What do you think?" Bucky asked, staring at you nervously. You smiled, placing your keys down and leaning in, pecking his lips.
"I like it." You felt him wrap his arms around you.
"How's the family?" Bucky asked, tilting his head.
"They're good. Laura wants you to join us for dinner again." You smiled, head resting against his chest. Bucky hummed, metal hand gently running over your back.
"Did you sleep well without me?" You asked gently, hearing a soft sigh.
"I had another nightmare." He muttered. You pulled back, looking his features over. You rested a hand on his cheek, frowning.
"I'm sorry, Buck." You leaned in, pecking his nose. Bucky shook his head, smiling at you.
"You're here.. You help keep them away." Bucky said softly. You smiled pressing a kiss to his cheek. You stepped away from him, checking the fridge and sighing at the chinese leftovers.
"I'm gone for a few days and you empty the fridge." Bucky chuckled at your words, turning on the tv. He flipped through the channels before stopping at one playing a movie he liked. You warmed up the leftovers before grabbing two forks and walking over to him. You took a seat beside him, leaning into his side. He wrapped an arm around you.
"I missed you." He said softly. You smiled, raising some of the rice to his lips. Bucky opened his mouth, happily eating.
"Wanda hasn't responded. I'm getting worried." You told him softly. Bucky frowned, placing a gentle hand on the back of your head.
"She never does this. She usually calls whenever she needs me but.." You sighed softly. Bucky kissed your temple.
"Didn't you have a therapy session today? How'd it go?" You asked, tilting your head. Bucky shrugged.
"Same as usual." He muttered. You chuckled softly.
"Buck, if you really don't like her, we can find someone else for you." You reminded him, pulling out your phone when it vibrated. You furrowed your brows at the unknown number, handing Bucky the plate. You answered, placing the phone to your ear.
"Hello?"
"Hey, is this (Y/N) Barton?" You didn't recognize the voice.
"Who's speaking?" You asked, glancing at a curious Bucky.
"Monica Rambeau from S.H.I.E.L.D, I was wondering if we could talk about Wanda Maximoff. I know Hayward tried getting in contact with you-"
"Hayward never got in contact with me." You interrupted with a frown.
"Oh.. Uhm, would you mind coming down to WestView, New Jeresy? We have.. A problem with Wanda." Monica said softly.
"Uhm.. What type of problem? Is she okay?"
"Yes, she's fine but.. You might want to come see this for yourself.. You're able to." Monica said. You glanced at your boyfriend, sighing softly.
"I've got to go but I'll send you the directions if you're able to come." Monica said before hanging up. You put your phone down, sighing softly.
"You have to go again?" Bucky asked softly. You frowned, leaning in and kissing his cheek.
"I don't know, Buck. Last time I met with Hayward... I just wanted to murder him." You stood up, arms crossing.
"If it's about Wanda, you should go. I'll be fine, I promise." Bucky stood as well, gently wrapping his arms around you.
"I don't want to leave you alone again." You frowned, staring at him. Bucky pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead.
"Tiger, you've been stressing about Wanda for months now. You have something. Follow it." Bucky gave you a reassuring look.
"Call me if you need anything, okay?" You pecked his nose. Bucky nodded with a gentle smile. You grabbed your jacket and keys, leaving the apartment. You greeted Yori as you passed him, heading down the stairs and to your car. You entered, glad Tony had given you a car before he passed.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y, could you set course for the directions Monica sent me?"
"Course set." You hummed softly as the car began moving by itself. You buckled in, grabbing the steering wheel and taking control of the car. A million thoughts raced through your mind as you drove out of the city. You licked your lips, sighing softly.
"What the hell kind of trouble did Wanda get herself into?" You asked yourself, frowning.
"Uh, (Y/N), you might want to see this." F.R.I.D.A.Y called in a concerned voice. You frowned.
"What's up?" You asked. F.R.I.D.A.Y made footage of the news appear on the windshield.
"The wake of recent events have left us vulnerable. Everyday, Americans feel it. While we love the heroes who put their lives on the line to defend Earth, we also need a hero to defend this country. We need a real person who embodies Americas' greatest values. We need someone to inspire us again. So, on behalf of the Department of Defense, and our commander in chief, it is with great honour that we announce today that the United States of America has a new hero. Join me in welcoming your new Captain America!"
"You've got to be shitting me."
