Summary: Maevris is now fully residing at Wyrm's Rock. She's wandering the fortress in the middle of the night, struggling to come to terms with her feelings for Enver. Wait. Are those feelings? Shit, yeah they are. Guess she's gonna have to do something about those.

It wasn't that she had planned to end up here. She simply couldn't sleep, she told herself. Needed a breath of fresh air, to move her legs, tire herself out. She hadn't even paid attention to the path she took through the fortress; that she had ended up here, outside of Enver's door, was just a coincidence. The fact that she was still here, almost glued to the spot, debating with herself as she stared at the door... That was harder for her to reason away. She took a loud breath and walked away; turned back on her heel and raised her knuckles to the door, but stopped herself; cursed quietly as she shut her eyes and tried to rationalize this.

"Are you going to come in at any point, dear? Or are you just keeping watch?" Came a voice from inside the room. Dammit.

Maevris steeled herself and opened the door. "I was just out for a walk. Didn't mean to disturb you. I can go back to my room."

Gortash was sitting at a desk, hard at work over something or other. A few bits and bobs of machinery sat in front of him, laying on top of a set of blueprints. A glass of wine sat untouched beside him, and his normally well coiffed hair was in disarray, as if he'd been running his hands through it. The elegant robes lay forgotten to the side, his shirt fully unlaced. Was this his idea of relaxing? Stressing himself over a project? She noticed he was staring at her with that same look, that familiar and unsettling gaze she couldn't quite figure out. Was it a sly smirk and hooded eyes, to try and put her off her guard? Or was there sincerity in that smile, care in those tired eyes?

"You've been taking a walk in the same spot for a few minutes now, judging by the footsteps I've been hearing," he said, almost sounding... fondly couldn't be the right word, surely. Could it? "What's on your mind, my darling?"

Shit. She rolled her eyes at him, crossing her arms to avoid answering. She didn't want these butterflies when he looked at her like that, spoke to her like that. The involuntary fluttering of her heart sank like dread to the pit of her stomach, every time. He was lying, using, manipulating. He had to be. He was taking advantage of her lack of memories, painting himself as a grand figure in her past. He had to be... and yet, the mounting evidence to the contrary, the feelings in her chest that refused to be ignored, buried, beaten down. He was a monster. He was the reason she was in this. He... shouldn't have this kind of sway over her. If she didn't feel something, deep within herself, like the fleeting ghost of a feeling; like the worst, most torturous form of deja vu. Her current resolve warring with whatever past feelings she may have had. But if she believed him…

"Well?" He asked, still staring at her face as he leaned back in his chair and rested his chin on his hand.

She scoffed. She hated this feeling he brought about in her. So why was she seeking it out so much? Why was she still here to begin with? "I... I don't know. I just couldn't sleep. I didn't – it's not like I came here on purpose."

"Of course not, dearest," he said. He rose with a grin still on his lips as he walked to meet her. When had she walked so far in the room? Had she not noticed herself being pulled towards him? He reached a hand up to her face, tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear and lingering as his knuckles grazed her cheek. "And what can I do to help you sleep better?"

She melted beneath his hand, his eyes, his low voice. He had to be toying with her. He was simply well practiced in making his flattery sound so sincere. But that didn't stop her from leaning into his hand as her eyes fluttered shut. "I... don't know."

When she opened her eyes, he was fully smiling down at her now. The hand on her cheek moved to the back of her head, fingers twining through her hair, as his other arm snaked around her waist to pull her into his embrace. She didn't resist, didn't stop her own arms from coming to rest on his chest as she stared back up at him, unable to tear her eyes from his. He leaned down just a bit, hovering inches away from her face. "Would you like to stay, then?"

Her breath caught in her chest as her heart beat wildly against her ribs, fighting to escape her completely. She remembered nothing; no faces, names, not even her own actions. But this felt... comforting. Safe. Like an anchor against the world. She tried to find answers in his eyes, but saw nothing but his own apparent adoration. Impossible to glean if it was real, or a show put on for her. But she wanted to believe, if only for a moment... "I... I don't know, Enver. I just–" She huffed a quick breath, burying her face in the side of his neck. Just for a moment. Just to see if it's right. "I just... want it to make sense," she said in a small voice.

His arms gently tightened around her, fingers playing with her hair as he pressed a gentle kiss to the side of her forehead. "I know, love," he said, leaning his head on hers. "I do, too. I want you to remember, to know. I'm trying to find something, my love. Just a little more research."

She allowed herself to relax into him a bit more. This felt right. "I don't know if I do want to remember," she said. "If I did all those things, if I was really... I don't think I can handle that."

His free hand drew soothing circles into her back, as if he could take the pain away from her. "And so you'd forget me, as well?" He asked quietly against her hair. "Our time together, what we had. What we were to each other. Would you leave it all forgotten, Mae?"

She took a moment before answering. He sounded almost vulnerable. Afraid of her answer. Would she forget it all? Did that mean she had to leave it behind? "I..." she sighed, nuzzling into him further before answering, lips moving against his skin in a whisper. "You're still here now, aren't you?"

She felt a breath leave his chest at that. A sigh of relief? He held her tighter, as if he thought she might slip away given half a chance. "I am. I'm just wondering if you'll still be here when I look away."

This felt nice. Good. Was this what she wanted? Mae stood back a little, just enough to look into his face. The softness of his eyes as he took her in, the warmth of his smile. Was this all for her, if she wanted it? She reached one hand up to his cheek, slowly, as if testing it. But he did not shrink away, leaning into her palm as she stroked his cheek. His look was full of love, adoration, want. She could feel the same in her own eyes as she leaned in, carefully, grazing his lips with her own ever so lightly. Slow, unsure, with her heart pounding in her ears as she kissed him, just once. She pulled barely away, eyes still sealed shut, unwilling to open them and face the moment, lest it have to end. "Enver... I –"

Her words were swallowed up as he covered her lips with his own, only a small sound of surprise as realization dawned on her. His hands grabbed at her clothes needily, snaking under her shirt to feel her skin beneath his fingertips. She draped her arms around his neck, fingers finding their way into his hair to pull him closer. And closer he was, clinging tightly to every inch of her that he could reach. His shirt, already unlaced, was easily dispensed with; he made short work of her clothes as she pulled him to the four poster bed. "Mae," he said as he stopped at the edge of the mattress, voice low and husky, "are you...?"

"Yes," she answered quickly, nodding up at him before rejoining their lips. Her hands found their way to his belt, cursing every moment it took to loosen the damn thing. Every moment she had to waste on this buckle was a moment spent without her body flush to his, her hands roaming over him, pulling him into her. She let out a tiny whine of frustration and felt him chuckle into her lips before undoing the clasp himself. He kicked off his trousers as he pulled her into the bed with him, trying to remove them both from their small clothes as he went. Enver pulled her onto his lap, straddling his thighs without breaking the kiss. His arms and hands explored her body, every inch that was finally, finally laid bare for him again. Her legs, her waist, her hips. All for him, and he hungered for it. She tangled handfuls of his hair between her fingers, eliciting a deep groan from his throat as she gently tugged it to pull him closer. He could feel her getting wet in his lap, and was sure she could feel him growing harder as she squirmed and moved over him.

He tangled his own fingers through her hair and pulled her head back just barely, only enough to look into her eyes as he silently asked permission to enter her. She nodded, eyes hooded and breaths heavy. Gods, was she the most beautiful creature on this earth. In all the planes, he was sure, as he pulled her back into the kiss. One hand still tangled in her hair as he used the other to gently open her folds and slowly guide himself in. She let out a moan against his lips as she settled over him, the sound enough to send him feral. He pressed his tongue further into her mouth as she set a pace, almost tantalizingly slow. For her, this was akin to their first time together; she was testing, exploring, finding the perfect movements all over again. He felt eager to show Maevris just how well he remembered her, how in tune they were with each others bodies when they hit their stride. But for now, he was content to savor this moment, to let her take her time. He would lavish her later, show her how she deserved to be worshipped in his arms. As she went, she grew bolder, bit by bit. Still achingly slow, but more incessant, more needy with every thrust of her hips. He responded in kind, matching her rhythm and intensity. He grabbed her thighs as her moved his mouth from her lips to her jaw, slowly trailing down her next and over her chest, staking a new claim on every inch with deliberate and passionate kisses, hot and wet over every inch of her that he reclaimed. Her head fell back as another moan left her lips, and he moved an arm behind her neck to steady her in his lap. She was close, he could tell; losing her focus as he kissed and sucked her most sensitive spots, missing the steps of their little dance as she began to come undone. He grabbed her hips and guided her to their rhythm, to the final steps and over the edge as he sucked fiercely at her collar. And the sounds she made as she finally came for him, as she shook against his chest and moaned his name into his neck... gods, he had missed having her like this. That carried him to his own end, pulling her into his chest as he groaned into her shoulder.

She shook against him, sticky with sweat and blissfully resting in his arms. His ragged breaths tickled her shoulder as he continued pressing kisses to her skin, arms gripping her to him as she pulled herself further into his lap. Any bare skin, any inch that could be touching him but wasn't, felt like a tragedy begging to be remedied. As his breathing steadied, he trailed his lips slowly up her neck to nibble on her earlobe. "I love you," he whispered between gentle bites, "and gods, have I missed you, Mae."

She laughed warmly, her head tilting back to give him access. "I've been here for weeks, Enver."

"Not like this," he murmurered into her neck, "not in my bed, laid out for me like such a pretty present."

Her heart skipped a beat like in her chest at his words, his sincerity, at the muddled way her mind still felt as she drifted back to reality. "I'm not laid out, though, am I?" She teased, eyes fluttering open to look at him again.

He replied with a tauntingly wicked grin as he leaned in to her lips. "That can be fixed," he muttered against them before moving his arms around her to swiftly flip them onto the bed, positioning them so that she was lying under him. "There," he said as he caressed her face, running the other hand down her side to bring her leg up against him. "Much better."

She giggled at the act; an actual, honest giggle, lighter than she had thought herself capable of. Is this love, she asked herself? To feel so freed with someone? "And now that you have me here?" She asked him, wrapping an arm around his waist, mischief glinting in her eyes as he caressed her bare skin.

He let his eyes wander over her, all of her perfection and beauty in front of him. "Oh, I have many ideas, pet. Trust me." He claimed her lips in a kiss again, pressing deeply into her mouth, eager to have her, yet not rough: firm, but gentle; impatient, but drawing his attentions out nonetheless. He ghosted his lips over her ear, hands wandering between her legs, teasing her. "Do you trust me, love?"

She groaned underneath of him, deep in her chest as he teased her swollen bud and slick folds. A strained "mhmm" was all she could manage, her eyes fluttering shut again as he taunted her.

"Good," he said with a sultry grin.

He seemed to know every spot on her body, every reaction it would elicit, better than she did, and she was more than happy to let him lead her. His lips worked their way down her neck, playful nips and deep kisses as he continued to tease between her legs. She could feel his kisses deepen as he paused at the base of her neck, right above her clavicle. There would be marks all over her neck tomorrow, she was certain, but she didn't care. It was worth it. Let him mark her body wherever he wanted; he could have it, all of it. She squirmed under him as he moved lower, wet kisses trailing over her chest, over her breasts, across the delicate skin of her ribs. His fingers still danced around her opening, teasing little sighs and whimpers from her throat as he kept them just on the edge, never quite entering her. The longer her toyed with her, the more urgently she needed him; the more she whined and groaned and bucked against his hand as his lips trailed down her stomach.

"Tsk. So impatient," he said, stopping over her lower abdomen to look up at her. "So eager. So needy," he said as he pressed a kiss to the lowest part of her belly.

"Enver," she whined out, gripping the sheets in her fists beside her, "you're doing this on purpose."

"Doing what, my dearest?" He asked as he grabbed her, lazily massaging circles into her inner hips. He kissed her belly again before resting his chin on it to look up at her, her thighs on either side of his face.

"Stop... playing with me and – fuck." She exclaimed breathlessly and he dipped one finger into her before drawing it out again.

"Oh, in good time, my heart," he promised, words lilting as he eyed her wickedly. "Good things come to those who wait. It'll be all the sweeter for it, you'll see," he said as he pressed an insistent kiss to her inner thigh.

She laughed, a small pant of amusement as she tried to steel herself against his tricks. He wanted her to beg for it, she thought, but she wouldn't give him the pleasure. She answered him playfully. "Of course you'd say that, you bast– ah!” He cut her off with two fingers this time, slower than before, deeper, as his thumb circled her bud.

"Name calling doesn't suit you, lovely," he teased, his breath tickling her stomach as he hovered over her. "Try asking nicely."

She scoffed at him again, but found herself unable to resist with his fingers working inside of her. "I... shit." She swallowed hard, words difficult to form as her thoughts grew hazy. "Please, Enver," she relented, struggling to speak the words between her ragged breaths. "Fuck, please."

"My, my." He smiled lazily as he pressed kisses to the inside of her thigh, drawing his fingers out of her. "Please what, my love?"

"You are..." she paused, feeling the hot wetness of his mouth drawing closer to her. "Just... please, don't... don't stop."

She felt him smirk against her skin, right where her leg met her hip, right beside where she needed him most. "Of course, Maevris. Anything for you." He positioned himself directly over her middle, eyes gleaming up at her, basking in the neediness of her gaze as she stared down at him, waiting. He kissed her stomach, featherlight, trailing lower until he was right over her swollen little bud. He kissed deeper, sucking just a little, arms snaking under and hands grabbing her legs and ass on either side as she moaned and bucked under him. He caressed it with his tongue, pulling forth whatever lovely sounds his skills could earn him before moving lower. He flicked his tongue into her, tasting her, lips caressing her as he pushed his tongue deeper.

She couldn't breath, couldn't think, couldn't do anything but buck her hips into him. The waiting had made it sweeter, she thought; but she would never admit that to him. He was like a master at his instrument, strumming and plucking and hitting all the right spots to make sweet music flow from her lips. She understood why some called it a "little death;" she died and felt reborn under his touch. She saw stars, she saw nothing, felt herself floating further and further away as he pushed her hips back down. It was eternity, it was bliss. She cried out his name as he led her back over the edge, and she jumped happily into it as the world faded around her.

She was lost, unaware of the world around them. She could feel him crawling back over her, his hands holding the sides of her face while she trembled beneath him. Her eyes stayed firmly shut, working through the last perfect drops of her orgasm. "How do you feel, dearest?" He asked quietly, pressing a kiss to her forehead as he lowered himself on top of her.

"I... I don't believe I can think right now," she replied, smiling back at him as she opened her eyes. "Ask me again later."

He chuckled into her hair, planting another kiss to it. "I'll take that as a good thing," he said. "Are you going to stay here tonight, then?"

"Mhmm," she murmured, nodding lazily. "You don't expect me to walk back to my bed after that, do you?" He pulled his lips back from her hair and saw her flashing wide, innocent eyes at him, pleading silently. As if he would let her up regardless, he thought.

He rolled off of her and onto his back. Mae let out a petulant little whine, before he wrapped her in his arms and pulled her onto his chest, tucking her head under his chin. She settled in over his heartbeat as he traced his fingertips over her back. Did she know what she was doing, he wondered? That need to feel him under her, hear his heartbeat, be wrapped up in him, just as she had before; was that a subconscious habit, or, as he allowed himself to foolishly hope, was it an old memory coming back to light? She pulled closer to him, wrapping one arm up over his shoulder. Touch starved little thing. They both were, he thought, as he pulled her tighter to himself. No amount of contact was ever enough, it seemed.

"Enver?" She whispered into his chest, barely loud enough to hear.

"Hmm?" He answered, eyes shut as he rested against her head, "what is it, pet?"

"Were we..." she shifted a bit to look at him, trying to put the words together. "Were you... always so gentle with me?"

He smiled down at her, stroking her cheek. Gods, don't take her away again. "Surprised?" He asked. "My love, I can be very gentle, when the moment calls for it. And after all you've been through..." He looked down at her, sadness seeming to flit through his eyes as he leaned to press a kiss to her forehead again. "You deserve gentleness, my darling. And I am happy to give you whatever you need."

Mae looked back up at him, perplexed, almost disbelieving. He worried he had gone too far, that she would get up and leave him now, in this cold and empty and too large bed. Instead, her brow relaxed and she placed her hand over his, twining their fingers as she pulled it back to kiss his palm. Mae looked back at him for a moment before laying her head back over his heart, and pulling his hand to keep it over her cheek. She fidgeted for a minute, before adding, almost too quiet for him to hear, "and what do you need?"

Enver looked down at her, convinced he must have misheard. What did he need? What a silly question. But she didn't look up at him, instead burying her face into his chest as her heart started to beat faster against him. She was truly asking, then. She was offering. And she was nervous. It was enough to make his heart skip a beat, to make him melt away.

"I... oh, my love," he answered, pulling her tighter as he pressed kiss after kiss to her head. "I have all I need. I have you, returned to my arms. We have this city to rule together, side by side, like we were meant to. What else could I need?"

She was silent for a moment, considering his words. She looked up at him again, a questioning look in her eyes. "Do you really love me, then?" She asked.

He pulled her face to his and answered her question with a kiss, deep and full of longing. He kissed her as is he could make up for the weeks apart, for failing to keep her safe, for ever letting her slip away in the first place. As he pulled back, her lips chased sleepily after his, just out of reach. Her eyes stayed shut for a moment, as if she hadn't quite registered that the kiss was over yet. "More than you could know," was all he said, leaning against her forehead.

"Hmm," she answered, settling back against his chest with their hands intertwined. He laughed against her, holding her as she drifted between sleep and wakefulness. He wasn't put off by her lack of reply; this was all very new to her still. If he could bring her memories back... but even without them, she was still here. She was still in his arms, chest slowly rising and falling as she fell asleep on him. He would prove to her all over again that she could trust her, that he loved her, that all of his dreams in life meant nothing if she wasn't there to partake in them. He couldn't fail her again, couldn't survive the heartbreak of letting her get hurt by his neglectfulness as second time. He would prove it to her. In time, she would–

"Goodnight, love," she mumbled into his chest as she placed a small, sleepy kiss to his skin. She was barely awake, if at all. He had all he wanted, right here.

literally all of them???? uhhhhh for jatp i've killed just about everyone but the most unmentionable ones are learn to live with the unimaginable (carlos) and i miss the days when (luke survives). for lockwood it's probs but the wolves came and went (and we're still standing) aka my torture fic. one of my personal favs is my flash fic, Betrayal (Or, how he finds out) ALSO ALMOST FORGOT i thought i was innocent (but there is blood all on my hands) for bright sessions!!

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

i do happen to have some fluff fics!!! you are alive. is one of my favs of my jatp ones, and what a glorious feeling (i'm happy again) for lockwood. also shoutout to i need you like water for my happy green boys kissing in the rain

nope! i think i maybe sorta did once, but i just screenshotted it to share with my friends and laugh about it lol

no, but im not opposed to someday doing it. the closest i've gotten is i hate you i love you (i hate that i want you) for bright sessions or what a glorious feeling for locklyle

i sorta did once, but that fic is abandoned. i tend to do more of aus "just the one scene" combining my fav things, but not really crossovers

joan helps caleb actually!!! i wanted to change how college tapes went, but idk if it's gonna happen. i just want joan to set caleb straight lol

physical injuries/angst is what i'm best at! also comign up with teh most niche of au ideas but only for one scene and nothing else lol

i wish i could write flowery language and amazing metaphors, but alas, i cannot

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't do angsty endings. Or, well, I do at the end of a work but usually those have sequels with happier endings. The worst I'm gonna do is bittersweet. But if we allow angsty endings with sequels that have happy endings, The Way of the Sword (A:tLA) will fit best!

What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

All of them tbh!!! Or so many of them. I will say Coffee and Chamomile (MCU, Parkner) though because the overall vibe is also very fluffy.

Do you get hate on fics?

I haven't yet!

Do you write smut?

I do! Mostly as an exploration of my own sexuality since I did struggle to accept my cupiosexuality for years. There's It Turns Out Asexuals CAN Want Sex (MCU, Parkner), and the rewrite of The Scientific Method will get a smut one-shot. I might also write some for Glowing in the Dark (MCU, Parkner) tbh.

I had ideas but nope! Idk, it's difficult for me to write for me in more than one fandom at a time, and this just ties into it.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I tried but I feel like co-writing is kinda difficult for me because of the increased pressure. A one-shot or short story is probably fine but anything more than that is just. Idk. My brain does Not Like It.

What's your all-time favorite ship to write for?

Tbh that changes depending on the fandom im in currently! It's Harley Keener/Peter Parker aka Parkner (MCU).

What's A WIP that you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

All of the ones in the fandoms I fell out of tbh.

What are your writing strengths?

I think writing emotions!!! I'm just projecting my own experiences and trauma and I think that gives them a lot of depth and makes them pretty realistic!

What are your writing weaknesses?

I can't keep anything short. I just ramble on and on and on and on and on and—

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I italicize and use a tooltip workskin so that if you hover over it you can see the translation! (or click on it, if you're using mobile)

For sign language, I haven't figured that one out. I probably won't use ASL grammar bc I simply do not know ASL (tho I do aspire to learn sign language from the country I live) and also bc I heard that can make it harder to read. I might put in italics, might not, idk. I'll see when I'll have to use it!

First fandom you wrote for?

Prinzessin Lillifee (a German book series/magazine about a fairy, often featuring her unicorn and animal friends. I used to spend so much money on the magazines and I'm pretty sure I had an audiobook! Prinzessin Lillifee fanfic was actually what got me into writing, and ironically I wrote one-shots for it.

Favorite fic you've written?

That is so difficult to answer. Probably A Spider on the Web and It Turns Out Asexuals CAN Want Sex. And Glowing in the Dark (MCU, Parkner).

What is your total ao3 word count? 569,216 words - i’m honestly flabbergasted

What fandoms do you write for? So far only Harry Potter, though I've been interested in some spiderman or stranger things stuff which I might write for soon.

Top 5 fics by kudos? In order: Honey Honey, Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy, the Funny Tricks of Time, Seven Dials, Just in Case.

Do you respond to comments? The majority of them! I try my best to answer every one, or at least one if you've commented on multiple chapters in a row :)

Which of your fics have the angstiest ending? this is hard, all my halloween one shots are very angsty but which is worse? James and Lily dying, Marlene and Dorcas dying, or Mary obliviating herself? I'll leave that up to debate lol

Which of your fics had the happiest ending? I'll go with seven dials, considering that's the only fluffy fic I've actually finished, though goflb might take that spot once its done :))

Do you get hate on fics? I had an incident a couple months ago where I got flooded with some nasty comments, and I've had a couple things in the past. But so many people here came to my defence, it was lovely to see and I can't thank you all enough!

Do you write smut? Not yet... I get awkward... and scared someone I know irl will see it... but you never know...

Do you write crossovers? I have a couple marauder fic wips which take a lot of inspiration from other stories, like the Martian and httyd, but I wouldn't mark them as crossovers when I post them cause they're mainly hp

What are your writing strengths? I think im good with characters and plot, or at least that's what I enjoy doing most and what comes most naturally to me. I waste so much water standing in the shower thinking through things... I'd say im quite a proficient editor too, but idk if that counts

What are your writing weaknesses? I'm gonna say dialogue cause sometimes when I read back over conversations, they don't feel right and I spend ages tweaking it. And can I say procrastination? I struggle so much in starting writing, but once I get into it i’m fine.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language? I don't trust google translate enough to write in another language unless I knew myself it was right, so in most cases i’d find a way around it. I don't mind dialogue in other languages if its for a reason, but if that means I have to translate every other sentence it can get a bit annoying

Favourite fic you've ever written? I have to say I'm most proud of Honey Honey, its the only full length fic ive finished but quality wise i’d say Seven Dials is my favourite

most of my fics dont have endings tbh. i have either never finished them or they are just nice little one shots. however Siblings (fe3h) with twin byleths where one kills the other was pretty angsty ngl

uhhhhhh this is a problem yet again where most of mine are just happy little one shots or are unfinished. but i think To Walk the World with You Again (morrowind) is very happy. it hurts a lot in the beginning but ends with a happy loving reunion :>

the closest i got was someone saying on Consequences (fe3h) that it shouldnt be tagged as M/M and instead M/F bc byleth was trans but other ppl ripped into them. i havent gotten rly terrible hate since fanfiction.net

YES the cannibal au for 5ds with my lil bro. i still think abt that au all the time tbh. it was angsty. it was dramatic. it was complicated. it was filled with hard moral dilemmas and gods with non-human morality and a lot of mythology shit. sad we never finished it tbh but life was getting hectic.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

i dont know. rn i think its nerevoryn but trickstarshipping (where i got my url namesake from) still holds a special place in my heart <3)

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Ghosts of the Past (svsss). i really do like the story and had a bunch of it planned out mentally. qinghua's father was going to disown him when qinghua was going to tell him he was dating mobei and refused to hear qinghua out, there was gonna be drama with qinghua's family too where his dad says he firmly believes qinghua is actually the son of his identical twin brother who had an affair with qinghua's mother (his father was already cheating on his mom and she was wrong to do that, but no he is in fact the child of his bio-dad even being disowned). they then spend a summer vacation living together getting an apartment, go visit his uncle, and qinghua learns to enjoy his creative passions while finishing his degree with mobei and shen yuan's help, etc etc

the ending was going to be at a christmas party where qinghua's father catches a glimpse of qinghua at a company party. his wife (qinghua's former step-mother and the revealed mother of qinghua's half siblings rather than step siblings like qinghua grew up believing) thinks hes here to crash the party only for them to see he's there as mobei's boyfriend. his dad then tries to get in good with mobei who just brushes him off with "ah right, i know you. you're qinghua's uncle (since he refused to believe he is actually qinghua's father and it must be his twin brother he resented for being artistic and sensitive). i didnt think you were that close, why are you bothering me?"

qinghua goes on to be an accountant at the company, pretty high up too, and his father ends up quitting out of embarrassment and mobei being especially hard on him once he takes over for the company. he also continues to write his trashy novel while he and mobei plan to get married.

but tbh. i have morrowind brainworms. idk if i will ever finish it. sucks that one of the few stories i had all planned out with cdrama levels of bullshit i was really looking forward to going ham on i lost my motivation for when my hyperfixation changed.

i also wanna finish alduin's bane. i have a lot planned for that i could also spend an insane amount of time explaining. im hoping that the motivation for that one comes back though rather than me simply saying i probably wont finish it

16. What are your writing strengths?

i dont know 🧍‍♂️ if anyone wants to tell me i would appreciate it. i think it is like. i am primarily a romance author so i like working on dialogue, character interaction, stuff like that. ive also gotten compliments on my world building but idk if thats just my ideas or how i write them into the world.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

i feel like i struggle with pacing and motivation. as well as stuff like war tactics and full on battles. again i write mostly romance i dont know why i torture myself with stories about war

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

its very hard. ive seen ppl do it well but i find it difficult to read bc i am stupid. even with notes and flicking back and forth i feel like its a struggle to understand even if the goal was to obfuscate the meaning from the audience as well. usually i just do another language in bold font and make it clear the characters are speaking another language. but honestly do whatever you want forever

19. First fandom you wrote for?

i think it was in fact yugioh. i had ocs and daydreamed up storylines but i dont think i really sat down to write a fic until i was 12-13 and was writing a tendershipping fic in one of my notebooks at school lol

20. Favorite fic you've written?

tie between Alduin's Bane and Moon and Star. i love my long ass TES fics where i just go ham and play around with the world building and mythology. its a lot of fun and i feel like ive gotten to be very creative in the setting and make something unique and fun with the storylines given in both skyrim and morrowind

ummm my Curses series was more one-shots without actual plot.. and as many of those were shibuya or post shibuya they were all pretty angsty beifbekdjeodk. i wouldnt say any have this kind of ending because then there would have to be a story. but i would say the saddest one ive written is 'keep running for the sink but the well is dry'

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

'light of a new morning' for sure. this one actually had some kind of development i would say. also i have bias because this is one of the only three ive written that dont totally suck. though the tsumiki wip im working on for sure will have an even happier ending

there is also a trigun one i started, it was kind of plotless, just vibes, but i wasnt able to get their dialogue right and idk. maybe when i get into a trigun phase again ill find inspiration and continue

Okay i'm only counting fics that have endings, and are not anonymous. But honestly? I dont write many angsty endings. Don't get me wrong, i go hard on angst, but my endings are usually fairly happy.

I guess it would have to be Out of the Oven and Into the Fire (RusAm ABO). But even then, it's the third story in a four part series. But this one deffo ends sad.

Like ALL of my stories lmao. Or the vast majority. I feel like counting the oneshots that are just fluff to begin with is cheating. I guess I'd go with Courting Disaster because it has a very fluff ending.

I write....a LOT of smut. Basically all of it is explicit m/m. I've written a lot of ABOverse stuff too now. Most of my anon fics are just porn I am uncomfy having tied to my name x)

I typically don't. I have this weird worry that ppl might percieve it as me inflating my comment number? I only respond if someone is asking a question or I recognize the username and wanna say hi.

oh hunny. i've gotten death threats. I literally had to get AO3 admin involve because two users were stalking my one fic demanding i kill myself, my readers kill themselves and that I report myself to the police....on like every chapter update..which meant they were subscribed (?)

ive also gotten very annoying entitled ones, demanding i change things but idk if that's classified as hate.

but 9/10 times every comment i recieve is wonderful and lovely.

I've had links to my fics posted on good reads which i HATE. but no i dont think anythings been full on stolen hopefully.

Honestly, probably Apart from the Pack (UshiIwaOi). I love that fic. I love the world building i was able to create and explore. I have an idea for an ending, but I just can't really bring myself to write Haikyuu rn :////

My favorite thing in the world is to write dialogue. I LOVE IT. ITS MY PASSION. And not to toot my own horn, but i think I'm fairly good at it.

Honestly probably grammar lmao. Like, the really nitpicky stuff. I also think I could get better at writing descriptions of things.

I've done it. I've gone back and forth on it. I mostly don't, except for fics like My Salvation (RusAme) where the whole point is the existence of a language barrier.

OOF! I love so many of them. Let me at least do top 3.

Bridge the Gap (UshiIwaOi) will always be special to me. I pour my entire heart and soul into that. It's not as popular as all my other Haikyuu fics (because of the pairing lol) but I really do think its my best work.

A Human Invention (RusAme) is also special to me. It's my most ambitious work imo, because each update required SO MUCH RESEARCH. And I just really loved being able to play with heavy themes and philosophize on the nature of existence. If only I could just write the last god damn chapter

Now, here's a curveball: A Challenge (Keith/Geordo) My one and only My Next Life as a Villainess fic. I think it's one of my best oneshot porn fics. I had SO much fun writing it even though no one read it lmao.

18. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

All three!! Titling is actually my favorite part. Usually, they come from song titles, lyrics, or references that I felt either really captured the theme of the characters or the plot. Or sometimes they are the inspiration!! Sometimes they are funny, catchy or sexy in ways I think will bring people in but mostly they are song titles/lyrics haha  Almost all of the angsty Harringrove fics I wrote (13+ i think now) are MGK songs haha 2020-2022 was my all MGK all the time period because he dropped two sick fucking albums in two years and helped me out of more spirals than I can count. 

19. What is the most-used tag on your ao3?

Oh shit idk can I check that? Let me go look… Alright im too high to do that and google wasn't helpful so i'm taking a guess haha probably Smut or angst. I don't write exclusively smut or angst but almost every single fic I have has hurt/comfort scenes or sex scenes in them. Probs cuz people cry and have sex in real life haha and i'm tired of the bullshit on tv 

22. Are there certain types of writing you won’t do? (style, pov, genre, tropes, etc)

I don't write anything with scat or piss play, just not my thing so i think it would be difficult to write it for me. I don't have usually any hard no’s when it comes to writing. The content I consume is a different answer though. Likely because I have the ability to just not think about the things I don't want to think/write about whereas if I don't check does the dog die.com before a movie I’ll be panicking the whole time I’m gonna be triggered by on screen SA which seems to be a recurring theme in EVERY scary/thriller these days (fuck YOU hollywood)

40. If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Dude any!!!! But i'm also a horny slut so really any of the Hankconvin, steddiegrove, harringrove, parksborn sex scenes are good with me!!

I still have the fan art  someone made me for a fic I wrote back in 2013 as my phone background :3 I have since lost touch with them on tumblr but I think about them everyday

41. Do you tend to reread fics or are you a one-and-done kind of person?

I’m a huge re-reader/reconsumer. I will watch the same show 100 times and never get tired of it. Same with the fics I read. I’m a SUCKER for that good good content

Hahahahha yes and no. If its a short fic, I'll usually just reread it before i start adding new content since I jump around between fics CONSTANTLY. If it's a long fic, like the fucking Eden club yes, I have notes because I just don't have the time to go back and reread. writing in itself is still relatively new for me so there are definitely areas i can improve on. i ‘started’ this blog at the end of january this year (i’d had it for a while i just never uploaded) with DTIK and i literally uploaded the first chapter like a week after i wrote it and that’s where it all started and my experience is like the last 10 months. i had written in the past when i was like 13-14 but it will never see the light of day, it was very much the unrealistic, mafia bangtan but i was convinced to write an empowered woman that didn’t need men, which they don’t, but my writing was so crusty i can’t read it now without giggling. i have 60 something drafts of wattpad 😭 of crusty old fics.

i think the first time i wrote smut was 4 months ago? maybe? it could be 5, i know i was still in china at the time because i remember i’d said i wanted to add smut to the last chapter of TBAH but then i was like yeah idk how to write this in part 9 and then an anon was like “i think it’s time they fucked” and i was like yeah you’re probably right. and i remember sitting there thinking what the hell am i supposed to say, this is kinda awkward and i was stupid and thought an ot7 fic would be a good place to start. writing smut for 8 people is so freaking hard so i had to split it up into subunits 😭 and then i started writing “smut” in DTIK but they haven’t actually had sex yet so it doesn’t really count and then helping hands came along + rope bunny and that basically all my experience so i’m happy i seem to be good at it 😭

my skin crawls when a bj post comes up on my twitter, i scroll past them so quick THE NOISE I ACTUALLY HATE IT 😭 it’s so much better when you read it 😭 i’ve read some out-there smut, and i think ‘wait that’s kinda hot’ and then i think logically in real life what that would be like and i want to cry because it would be foul

OK I WAS THINKING WDTFD TOO IT IS CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED AND ive literally been spending more time than necessary trying to figure out why, because I would argue it is one of your best and one of the most unique out there in general. You can ignore me if you want but I have a Theory (gonna mark myself with this emoji ⚡️ so you know it’s me)

this is... an absolutely fascinating theory XD i have no clue, to be honest, and always just put it down to 1) being a busy time of year (tho thematically appropriate) when maybe people weren't reading a lot of fic then so it never got that established, and 2) me going dark for a month afterwards while i worked on my novel, resulting in less content to bump me up in the ao3 tag (or on people's dashboards) that might make people check what i'd just done, or help them notice they missed a fic right before it (i have people comment on a new fic all the time being like "OH SHIT i missed the last one, time to binge!").

its interesting to get an outside perspective, because for me personally i notice jumps in interaction around a few fics (knifepoint for example) but i never really attributed a spike to BFM. i was really shocked when i recently saw beg for me was ranked 24th in hit count for she-ra fics (its worth noting that both slas and asdlm rank higher than it, but i also remember lots of engagement with both of those - especially asdlm, there was so much fanart). i dont remember a lot about what was going on when i was writing bfm, so i just assumed it... wasnt a lot XD but apparently it left an impression.

(actually, i did just remember i had anon off while writing BFM because i didnt want people getting Too Horny and crossing into creepy, and that probably had a big effect on the interaction i got and my perception of it)

as far as the smut thing... honestly, no clue, although you might be onto something with vampires being generally slutty (and rightfully so) and WDtFD being lore-focused. i feel like im reluctant to say fics without smut dont do as well, but i think that it might be true and i just dont want to acknowledge it XD i do think that, as far as rating goes, T and E do better than M because... if you dont want smut, you go T, and if you want it, you go E, you know? M is this middle ground i enjoy, but people tend not to be on middle ground with smut XD

i have no clue, but it was fun reading theories, and thank you for the enthusiasm for a fic i really love! to be honest i think if i wrote it a year before it might have been smuttier.... but the idea was also a year old and never had anything but that one scene in it, even if that scene was originally a bit more explicit, so idk. i do tend to go in cycles and whatever i did after beg for me needed to be smut-light because writing beg for me took a lot of time/energy XD see lotd following knifepoint, as well

i really loved crafting a lore fic, i had a whole outline where i tracked what had been hinted at and in what ways, what had been revealed so far, what i still needed to foreshadow/explain, etc, because there was so much stuff i wanted to imply and then reveal, and im realllllly happy with the finished product, so thank you for the love! <3

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

i was gonna be like "oh i always give them a happy ending" but then ao3 told me — that's not true! Yellow was a lil deleted scene thing i did abt simon buying his yellow breakup stationery, so obviously the ending is big owie. and my humdrum fic, Hunger of the Shadow... i mean its a humdrum fic lol. idk which is angstier, its different types i guess.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

i got a comment that bothered me once that was like sort of judgmental abt a bit of my plot, and they were like "you should have done __ instead." and i was like ummmmmm... but not HATE i suppose.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

i wrote smut on my own once (Want to mark you up). i mostly wrote this one to capitalize on the horny momentum of In black ink my love may still shine bright, in which simon and baz go out to a bar, etc. also i wanted to make a joke about lamb hahahah.

then i did a few smut pieces with some pals via Frantic Fanfic. One of them, A for Effort, is actually technically my second most-kudos-ed fic, but it didn't feel right to claim it because Kay (xivz) did the heavy lifting on that one!

What’s a WIP that you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will?

i have a lot of wips that im determined to do, but it might be a while. i have one wip that is heavily rooted in a new england summer setting that i recently moved to my Graveyard folder on google drive because i was like... i don't think i can write this as well now that summer's over. the first sentence in that doc (which is entirely scrambled outline) is "this fic should smell like sunscreen." i will probably revisit next summer if im still around because im super invested in it. it's a childhood friends>rivals>friends>lovers with copious new englandisms, ghost hunting, simpard, explorations of guilt that are like super catholic (again: hello new england), queer identity stuff. i think shepard is a trans dude in that one too which was fun. idk!! this answer got long. it makes me more certain i will return to it lol.

What are your writing strengths?

hmmm probably like - earnest descriptions of emotion? like, if the character is going through something, im going to take you through allll the stages. i personally think im funny, which is what matters to me as my own reader lmfao. and i think i like to break them out of the usual settings and plotlines! i really like setting as a literary tool, thinking abt the obstacles that come wherever your characters are. im in the ideas stage of a road trip fic and i think that's going to be a really good way for me to flex there.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Sometimes dialogue, sometimes not. Elaborate plots that can't be tied to character development. I've said this before, but I find my writing to be quite plain in terms of syntax/word choice/etc... this is usually fine but sometimes my writing can get very like "action, thought, action, though, action, dialogue." idk. i dont know that i have a word for this, am open to suggestions.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic?

(OiKuro) burning bright by kittebasu (chanyeol) (M) 43.9k // okay @granddecoffee is a real one and recommended this, and IT WAS SO GOOD OMFG. The world building was AMAZING and I got super immersed into the story really quickly. The writer explains things incredibly well and it’s not too hard to catch on! I loved the magical concepts within the fic as well, and the IwaOi friendship is SO good and the ushiwaka rivalry is still strong. I loved their dynamics and the backstories were developed REALLY intricately. I really enjoyed reading it, so that’s why I’m making a solo post about it LOL. There’s SMUT in it and some mentions of trauma so be careful reading it and make sure to check the tags!

(KomoSuna) I wish to live in a world by hatsuna (T) 24.8k // ok ngl this fic was so sad and relatable? Like I was like wtf why are you making me cry rn even though like I shouldn’t be? My heart? Pain. (Hotel? Trivago.) Technically, this is END GAME but the main pairing is kinda SakuAtsu???? Something of the sort, but also their relationship (Komori and Sakusa) is written so well and idk guys I think you need to read this fic rn.

(BokuAkaKuroo) The Sky and Guilt Are the Only Feelings I Have Left by oopsthisisqueertoo (NR) 267.7k // ngl I picked it up as a rec from someone else after misreading that it was THIS long haha. But like I kept reading, and the suspense omg. It HAS a happy ending, so if you’re reading it and you start to feel empty, push through (tho take breaks) and finish because it DOES end HAPPY. (PLEASE READ THE TAGS, THERE ARE SENSITIVE TOPICS!!!!)

(Osamu) the dog days are over by grandecoffee (T) 4.1k // i’m gonna start this off with PAINSDFNJKSDNKFJ. The part before (and while) Osamu is on the train killed me BYE, I was like STOP IT MY HEART (*SOBS LOUDLY*). I was also in public while I was reading this so I was trying to control my facial expressions but it was impossible LOL. ALSO like the ending OH MY GOD i was aboutta risk it all for mr.regular IM TELLING YOU RIGHT NOWLDKRK

(WashiSuna) STAND/STILL by viverella (T) 15.2k // first, as someone who’s tumblr url has things to do with washi tape, the ship name for this makes me giggly and happy AHHAHAHAH. Second, UAFHSJF I have never read any fics with Washio as one of the ship parings, BUT BRO. THIS? Life changing. Oh my god. The characterization of Washio was just *chef’s kiss* AND the dynamic between him and Suna was so CUTE. It was SOOO GOOD, so good as in I skipped class to finish it good. As in, I would do it again good. I would not recommend being a bad student like me, but I am recommending this fic HAHAH. It has caused me to spiral into Washio ship fic hell, but I have no regrets.

(SemiShira) everything is blue by hatsuna (T) 3.8k // HELLO THIS WAS SO GOOD. After I read it, I actually felt like I got punched like in the guts also didn’t help that during the read I felt my guts twisting LMFASFLK. That sounds so bad but it’s because the writing was just SO SO good and it made me feel a lot LOL. The feeling of loss is just so evident mixed with the fact that it was a non linear plot was def a one two punch for me LMFAO but I just love so much about this fic please read it.

(KomoSuna) let the light in on the front porch by rosevtea (G) 3.6k // HELLLLLO? I LOVE THIS ONE??? I love love love Komori POV fics and also this rare pair so much AHHHH. I loved Kormoi’s characterization SOOO much and I loved his perception of the team and just how observant he was. Just the little things that he did in this fic I HAD ME CRYING (LIKE HIM SMILING AT THE CORNER).

(KuroAka) wish upon a falling star by Authoress (T) 2.7k // THIS WAS SO FUNNY. Also I love Akaashi so much in this HAHAH and his realization at the ending was priceless LMFAO. It’s almost canon that Kuroo would fall off a roof because I mean,,, it’s Kuroo….

(EnnoFuta) 101 Uses for Cornstarch (Culinary or Otherwise) by parenthetic (renaissance) (T) 2.6k // HI THIS IS SO FUNNY AND CUTE. Also the pick up lines were killing me, I was laughing so hard but yeah. I was not expecting the way they ended up meeting but also I love Kinoshita and Narita HAHA.
