Sett, the Boss

The boss is quite intimidating, that is unquestionable, everyone has a certain fear coming from his presence and this makes him proud of himself, increasing his ego with each passing day. But he's not as intimidating as they think he is. He has some secrets he wouldn't want any living soul to discover. Embarrassing secrets, however... Cute.

Sett loves to cuddle behind the ears, just like animals, this is part of his vastaya side. He might even purr a few times if he's comfortable with it.

His injuries after battles in his arena are often severe, but he doesn't care at all, as long as you is taking care of him, you can tell he would even hurt himself on purpose for these moments to happen.

Irelia, the Blade Dancer

Irelia is very serious and convinced with her goals of protecting her people from any threat. She can appear to be cold at times, but... Like any human she has her sweet side that she can't hide from you, no matter how much she tries.

Everyone knows that she loved to dance before it became an obligation before the wars in Ionia, there are rare moments when she stops and has fun, but in some cases she dances with the person she loves the most, not caring when you misses or is very clumsy, that is one of the few diversions of her day, seeing your face smile beside hers.

The pressure of so many people to trust her blindly it's so much on her shoulder that Irelia often isolates herself, she has to be firm and hold out until the last twirl of her blades. But the times when she needed to isolate herself, she felt comfortable cuddling with you, that was what she needed to get all her strength back.

Irelia headcanons again. Should probably make a tag or something

Navori brotherhood aside, Irelia is actually quite popular with the youth of Navori and is (unfortunately) the subject of many parasocial relationships. As she got older especially, it became more and more clear to her that people were joining the resistance during the semi-peaceful gap between the two invasions either because a) there were nationalists or b) they found her hot/had a crush on her. The latter surprised her initially, but would come to annoy her eventually as that rationale had little staying power for a soldier. 

That being said when word starting circulating that Irelia is wlw, she quickly became extremely popular among the ladies in the Resistance and in the towns around the Lasting Altar. Even in her old school where is was already speculated prior to the first invasion that she was gay, between her being Ionia’s Hero and the way she would sometimes go about all dashing Prince-like (see: interactions with Liana) she became the subject of crushes and lowkey gossip among the wlw at the school. Initially, it was a big whiplash to Irelia coming back after 5 or so years of war, and it originally pulled at her insecurities over betraying her country’s pacifistic beliefs. It took Liana, in perhaps one of the most painfully awkward conversations they had prior to getting together, that no, it was that everyone was into her. 

The diadem Irelia wears is a type of victory crown in Ionia. Normally it was reserved for some sports or religious activities and not for war, but hers is a unique design specifically fashioned for her involvement in the first invasion. So much that anyone who saw her wearing it would know it’s Her (besides seeing her floating blades of course). 

I think I mentioned this before, but I headcanon that Irelia has a stupidly immature sense of humor. Juvenile middle school jokes and pranks are the things that make her laugh as oppose to adult sarcasm (another headcanon, she’s too serious to pick up sarcasm on account of her very severe child soldier upbringing. Two headcanons for the price of one!) or wordplay for that manner. Part of it comes from that aspect of her character being in arrested development since she was 12, another part comes from her nostalgia for Zelos’s dumb jokes and of better times.

That being said in the version of SOL that exists in my head, I’d like to think Irelia hit Riven with the Ionian version of a deez nuts joke once. Riven, being a second-language speaker and not really expecting something like that from Irelia, fell for it. Irelia spent the next two days snickering about it much to the confusion of Riven herself and even Diana. 

Irelia can sometimes have a morbidly dark sense of humor. Like that “ A single pebble may sink a warship. And a thousand pebbles... [laughs]” line she has on LOL. She made the mistake of making a similar joke around Liana once only to regret it immediately cause Liana did not like it at all. She picked up those type of jokes from her fellow resistance fighters during the first Invasion. This ironically, is one of the few things she’s able to meet in middle with Riven with, whose own humor can be kinda dark at times. 

Irelia is overall kinda bad at picking up verbal and facial cues from people. She’s better at reading body language, stemming from her fascination of watching people move from a young age. This comes at the cost of willing to dish out jokes, but being unable to take them.

Irelia is the type of person that if she’s gonna do something, she puts her whole ass into it. This often comes at the cost of either being too overenthusiastic or being called way into it. Combine that with an inherent competitive streak, she really really gets too into things. It’s one of the things that has cause rifts between her and her fellow classmates when she was in school. On the other hand, if you need help with something, she’s among the most reliable people to count on. 

As a child Irelia never owned a pet. Given that her family was so big with so many kids, it was simply too much to have an animal that was kept at home. Not to mention that in Ionia, pets as one would know it, aren’t really kept in the traditional sense but instead were more like, outside animal friends that one made with the local wildlife. Irelia finds it a travesty to use animals in war (as in her response to that one Noxus card).

Syndra will do over the top gestures of love. Carving her and Irelia's initials into a mountain instead of a tree. Brining a field of roses and not just one. Slaying all of Irelia's enemies. Stuff like that.

Irelia is a decent acupuncturist, if not prone to somewhat painful accidents.

Vi got the brawl and Jinx got the smarts.

Jinx could probably leaf through an entire book and be able to tell with good accuracy what was it about.

Caitlyn says Jinx could be an excellent chemestry/engineering teacher if she wanted, but she won't just so she can make her angry.

When Lux first confessed romantically to Jinx was a mess. Full of trauma Jinx first thought she was toying with her. Jinx kept her at arms lenght. Not opening up at all. Telling her to stay away because she didn't want to hurt her too.

"I've hurt everyone I've ever held dear! I don't want to hurt you too or wait for the worse to happen. Save yourself while you can and forget I exist..."

Legally Camille can be considered a person with disability, but this bitch gives me major ableist vibes.

Yordles have a habit of hickhiking a piggyback ride on taller champions.

Briar is legally blind. Her vision is so bad that she has to rely a lot on hearing and smell to detect who she's on the presence of. If people were to swap their usual perfume for a day she would have a very hard time telling who is who.

Hwein is double-jointed and probably has osteoporosis.

Renekton, Cassiopea and Neeko become very lethargic during winter, prefering staying inside with a heat light and blankets.

we've already established the hunting down and killing noxians as a bonding activity, but i like the idea they might have met before, even if just in passing. i'm not sure if haru actually got to fight during the invasion, considering he tried to flee the conflict, but if he did, they might have fought together then. irelia suggests she saw firsthand what the noxians did to bahrl, and it makes sense considering it's after the placidium and she's leading the resistance. so there's always the chance they'd have interacted then and that he met irelia when she was a 14 year old baby responsible for far more than she should be, even if it was a brief meeting.

irelia doesn't really know much anything about the darkin, but given kayn's struggle, she's Not a Fan. which is to say, she's at best wary of tarhos and by extension of haru preaching the darkin's godhood around. but at the same time, irelia really doesn't know anything about the darkin, so she doesn't really know if they're all alike (but! the fact they were all imprisoned in weapons! doesn't make it look good for them!). at any rate, haru and tarhos are also slaughtering noxians, so she can live with that. if they eventually turn to harm ionia, then she'll fight; but if the spirit isn't trying to kick them out that's good enough for her, at least for the time being. but i think in part it's also that irelia knows there aren't that many people both strong enough and willing to fight the noxians, and as always, she's very certain it's a matter of time until swain launches a new attack. and hey, when that happens, she'd rather have them fighting by her side than waiting for the kinkou to move their asses to do something c:

we. haven't really discussed much about them but because of that one ask you sent the other day (which i still love so much thank you egg), i feel even if there isn't outright friendship, there's some distant sense of kinship, or at least respect - enough so he was there imparting the wisdom to not be merciful at all to any noxians ever, but that wasn't done in a way that was aggressive or antagonistic toward her. and on my side when writing the answer it just. felt like that respect existed because she was so willing to listen to what he was saying in the first place. i don't see them as close friends, but i think that mutual respect would exist. they could become friends proper and talk about how similar or different things are in bahrl and navori and maybe one day get to the level 9841234123894129384 of friendship when tragic backstories are unlocked and bond over losing their families bc of the war (or they can end up following the antagonistic path, depending on what happens. i can see it going either way, but i think that, for now, there's at least a degree of respect between them)

that might be in part projecting because i think haru is so beautiful but i feel irelia would be a little awed by how beautiful he is. not immediately when they met, if it really was during the war, because then the focus would be on the war, but whenever they interacted in better circumstances and she actually got to look at him and see how gorgeous he is. the girl probably had to take a moment because he was just so pretty — and i don't even mean it in like, irelia being actually attracted to him, because she's very demi and it wouldn't be that at all, but rather just in a i saw a man so beautiful i started crying sort of way USDFHAHSDFH i imagine haru would have noticed even if irelia wouldn't have said anything, because she's not good at hiding anything honestly. she got over the very awed reaction eventually, but she still thinks he's really beautiful

headcanon : comparing sylas to irelia.

i think sylas' voice lines in game really remind me of my first impression of irelia, the raw anger of it all. they're both rightfully angry at the people who have wronged them, and they both use violence in order to get their way. sylas' time spent working for the mageseekers and then in prison has absolutely irrevocably changed him. considering his life, his radicalized way of thinking is honestly understandable.

his hatred for the ruling class for failing not only him but all other mages in demacia, for the mageseekers who imprison and torture innocent men and women... not to mention the children; it's so startlingly similar to how irelia hates every noxian for what they've done to her personally as well as her homeland. when facing a noxian in battle, the calm and composed leader is completely replaced by a wrathful woman who's bringing down the wrath of the gods upon her enemies. to her, in every noxian she sees an invader, a savage and war-hungry soldier who'd happily kill children and burn down every ionian household to fuel their bloodlust.

beyond their anger, there's also how both of them are hated by their own countrymen. sylas on a much larger scale of course, but irelia was once a part of the navori brotherhood; who chose to turn her back on them after they became millitant towards fellow countrymen who didn't believe in their vision for ionia — he's feared and hated by demacians ( rightfully so for the destruction he did cause ) but sylas is far too grown and tired to really even care about that.

anyways, this has been a pretty rambly post but please don't dismiss sylas as just an angry and evil guy because as much as he is morally grey. i don't intend to compromise on that in my writing, and i'd like to explore his character and all the different aspects of it. he is angry because of the horrors he's seen and at the unfair system that has crushed so many mages like himself underfoot. he's loud and violent because if he isn't... nothing will change. a systemic issue like the one that faces mages within demacia, it won't go away because of a few ' nice mages ' becoming trusted, because he's seen what happens to them first hand. also, i'll put some voice line comparison under the cut because this post is getting long enough.

I've been with this in my mind for a loooong time so I've finally decided to voice this hcs of mine !! some characters aren't listed because I have no idea who they would play with but I'm welcome to hear your opinions <3

Heartslabyul

Riddle: mostly a mid-laner but time to time chooses to be support. mono mages and MAIN VEIGAR THERE IS NO DISCUSSIONS UPON THIS

Ace: goes mostly top and mid but sometimes go with jungle. he uses the MOST ANNOYING AND OVERY-USED CHAMPIONS. that absolutely annoying and self-centered yasuo that u wanted to kill not only in-game but irl too? yeah, it's him. he loves to play the most menace characters just to show off. but he is not even that good though. I mean, he sometimes can make really good gameplays, but if he ends up against someone who REALLY knows what is doing, ace is done for and would blame the team. very obvious but he is an average yasuo main

Deuce: main top and mono tank :)) probably main sion but plays with malphite, maokai and dr mundo. sometimes likes to play with alistar too

Cater: plays with the most aesthetic characters! I hc that he is main gwen (just like me ♡) but loves to play with characters such as ahri and xayah

Trey: doesn't know what he is fucking doing so mostly goes as sup because he thinks they are the easiest to learn (usually duo with cater). BUT I hc that he enjoys play as nunu and willump because he thinks they are adorable :) probably main soraka or sona

Savanaclaw

Leona: this mf can play every single lane perfectly. he keeps saying that he barely touched the game but give him any champion and he'll fucking SLAY. but I like to hc that he quite enjoys playing as le blanc and samira ;)

Ruggie: main twitch. main twitch. main twitch. he enjoys playing in every lane but most of the matches he always plays as twitch !! being invisible and poisoning others while shooting? he loved it !! but I think he would enjoy playing as wukong too

Octavinelle

Floyd: doesn't have a main lane because it depends entirely on his mood. sometimes he would play normally but sometimes if he is bored he would be like "ok why not go BARD TOP??????" loves to play with the most DEVIL characters such as shaco and sett but loves funny characters such as rakan and kled

Jade: plant characters. that's it. prooobably a main teemo because of the mushrooms but I hate thinking about this because.... teemo. one of the few people who play as ivern and actually good at it and is every adc worst nightmare as zyra.

Scarabia

Jamil: Main mid-laner. tried cassiopeia because of the snake jokes and ended up maining her. REALLY good playing as irelia so I'm really sorry for every single player that is against him. I like to think that he is good playing as akali too.

Kalim: he enjoys every lane but is terrible at most of it. probably main fizz because he thinks the gameplay is funny. insisted in playing duo with jamil but he is the WORST sup. thought annie was really cute and sometimes plays as her. an average neeko player. plays aram

Pomefiore

Vil: doesn't play much but loves to play as the bad girls hotties characters. a nightmare as morgana and even worse as evelynn. tried elise once but didn't enjoy the gameplay. sometimes play as xayah or any adc because rook wants to be his duo.

Rook: main sup but will go jungle and play well with absolutely any jungle character. main rakan or lux because wants vil to be his xayah or jhin. but can play with any sup pretty much. he is worse than satan himself when playing as lulu. secretly considered to be shaco main. loves to play with champions that makes people suffer.

Epel: plays with any buff, strong-looking character. really. if looks strong he wil try it, no matter how hard the gameplay is. but loves playing as aatrox because of the might :) although I like to think that he is really good when playing as heirmerdinger. considered to be main poppy.

Ignihyde

Idia: he is the WORST type of lol player. he is the definition of complete nerd incel loser. knows every single possible build, uses meta and is the type to mock other people runes if they aren't what is considered "ideal". for a long time was mono seraphine because reminded him of his favorite group but he can play every single champion and knows everything about them. even the lore. I'm scared of him.

Ortho: main baby characters. without intention he mains the PUREST characters. was main braum for a long time and loves to play as kogmaw or gnar 🥺 just like his brother knows everything, but only because he is an android 💀 loves to play duo with his big brother and is an absolute menace as lillia

Diasomnia

Lilia: a nerd loser just like idia, but he is too old for this shit so he is far from being a toxic lol player. loves to play with the most "??? omg this dude still exist" champions and SLAYS. was main bard for a long time because he loved the gameplay. I feel sorry for every single enemy team that ended up against Lilia when he was playing as jax. I hc that he was also a main zoe.

Sebek: I'm just putting him here because I'd love to think that he would be main renekton because well, croc.
