So this ankle sprain is a bitch for someone like me, who wakes up, scans my body for pain, and goes “okay, I don’t feel anything, clearly I should be able to do more than yesterday.” So I get up and do something super physically demanding like, I don’t know, actually feed the cats their wet food, only to sit down, put my foot up, and go “oh SHIT that HURTS what the FUCK.” 

So I’ll sit here and ice my ankle and keep it elevated like the doctor fucking told me to do, and a few hours from now it won’t hurt at all like this, and my dumb brain will probably go “well there’s no pain, maybe I can go make myself lunch and fetch some stuff from my room” and the cycle will start all over again.
