I've been seeing this PBS ad on TikTok recently, and since I know a lot of people on here don't use TikTok, I thought I'd share it! PBS is asking people to go to https://protectmypublicmedia.org/rsc-emails/ and fill out the information to send an email to your congresspeople. It's super easy too, since they already have the email written out and will send it for you.
Also, PBS kids and sesame street is super important to me so even though the federal funding only makes up about 10% of NPR and PBS's funding, i wanted to share some ways to donate to them (although these are specifically PBS)
https://www.pbs.org/donate/ is the website to donate specifically to PBS; there are 2 ways to donate. You can do a one-time donation of 60 dollars or higher or monthly donations of 5 dollars or more. I just signed up for a 5 dollar monthly donation recently, and it was super easy and probably the more affordable option.
If you have kids who want any PBS Kids shows, there's also a store that sells merch based on the shows. The link for that is https://www.shop.pbskids.org/. They have a lot more variety for newer shows, but they have something for pretty much all of the shows they still play!
Don't let Trump try and take away this incredible source of children's educational media, especially when children's education is already suffering right now. PBS Kids is made possible by viewers like you!

Whenever I am thinking very hard about The Locked Tomb, I find it important to remind myself Tamsyn Muir did compare the series to the KFC Double Down.

‘who asked for this?..’
well you see, sometimes☝️people get ideas for things without being prompted. this is called ‘new idea’, ‘surprise’ or even ‘innovation’

Can I ask what the formulas are that donnie calculates to make a big boom(??)
Just curious, lolol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course! There’s a few different ones in there including the infamous e=mc2, but the majority are meant to calculate the energy released in a nuclear explosion. There’s also the Born–Oppenheimer (BO) approximation (which makes the assumption that the wave functions of atomic nuclei and electrons in a molecule can be treated separately) for the sake of his creative process. Admittedly t’s not 100% accurate (because nuclei and electrons CAN move at the same speed) but Donnie is working on the fly here with nothing but his still limited mortal brain and it has been accurate enough to aid his basic needs in blowing up Krang. So uh… just trust him on it haha!

...Chan holding you steady.
163 words | smut | a continuation of @delulustardust's science request
Recent studies have shown that 83.3% of scientists agree that Chan's finger skills are S tier.
Look at the way he's holding the cylinder– two fingers inside, not too deep, just enough to keep it stable.
Exactly how he does with you, those same fingers hooked inside you, inside your cunt, keeping you still. Crooked just a few millimeters short of perfection while he rolls the hood of your clit back with the other hand.
Grinning at you wickedly before *tapping* directly on it, the intense shock of pleasure making your hips jerk. Biting his tongue in the side of his cheek as he does it again. And again. And again.
He's barely fingering you, really. You're the one moving your hips.
Like he doesn't know that every jerk of your hips– the way your body instinctively flinches away from too much sudden stimulation– corrects the crook of his fingers, pressing them right against you're g-spot.
Really your fucking yourself, he's just holding you steady.

Love to see iNaturalist betraying the goodwill of thousands of volunteers that help identify peoples' observations in exchange for a grant from Google's AI slop department!
Tumblr media
Love how the FAQ says that iNaturalist has already been using "a type of AI" to help offer identifications for photos, as if that's even remotely similar to using a fucking LLM to try and give accurate species identification "tips".
Because that sounds like an amazing idea, especially since the experts on this site spend their entire lives studying certain taxa to differentiate between species. Let's act like these volunteers WOULDN'T want to write these tips, like they haven't been asking for a user-run wiki for years. I think instead we should just use their time to train our model. Which, by the way, doesn't fucking care if the "tips" its giving are even accurate, no matter how much training you give it.
And I won't even get into the other ethical concerns of all of this.
We're truly deeply rooted in an age of misinformation and disinformation. We need to advocate for better and more accessible science communication now, more than ever. If you use iNaturalist at all, you NEED to speak up about this.

in isolation I think it's fine as a writing move for sasha and melanie to misattribute people weird to them at their Spooky Jobs as being because of misogyny, that is a reasonable conclusion for those characters to make when they are unaware of the Spooky Reasons that people don't want them involved, but alas it leads to this weird thing I see sometimes where fans get boiling mad at these characters and start saying "this stupid bitch thinks she's experiencing discrimination in the workplace when akshually she's being iced out for completely logical reasons due to her lack of skills, something she might realize if she weren't so self-centered with such a massive victim complex." like guys. you don't actually need to say this.
