Some designs and doodles I’ve made for this Gravity Falls AU I’ve been thinking about!! More info under the cut bcs god knows it’ll be a ramble

The meat of this AU takes place in the next summer after the show ends!! Bill is summoned (jailbroken) out of the Theraprism by Xgqrthx the Unpronounceable (or X from now on)

Except this time, instead of putting Bill in a goofy ass orb, he sticks his consciousness in a homunculus body and decides he’s gonna take all of Bill’s magical power!! He also casts a spell on Bill that makes him obey any orders from X (no I didn’t take that from Ella Enchanted what are you talking about hahahahahahaha) mainly so Bill doesn’t like. Main him immediately. Because that was his first plan of action.

Bill eventually escapes, and is homeless for a bit, before Lazy Susan picks him up like a stray cat and lets him stay at her house in exchange for him working at the diner, to which hijinks ensue

The little story ideas I’ve made up in my brain mainly focus on Bill interacting with the townsfolk of Gravity Falls and kinda learning about humanity and what it means to be human and care for other people just through osmosis and observation and actually like, being in a place to receive that kindness. He and Pacifica become friends since they’re coworkers, and they go on their own supernatural 22 minute long adventures

Bill is VERY intent on not letting the Pines family know he’s back, at least not until he’s back in his normal body!!! Cmon, think of how embarrassing it would be if he met them again and he was in this weak flesh prison!!! He needs to be in top form for his revenge (spoiler alert he does not get revenge)

This au was mostly made out of my insatiable urge for any redemption arc, but also because I think exploring the parallels between Bill and Pacifica would be so interesting

somehow managed to reach wano and after missing zoro for 50+ chapters I'm so happy these two are back to their single braincell sharing shenanigans.

like. the way luffy was so happy to see zoro again (mind you, this wasn't nearly as long as the 2 year timeskip) that he momentarily forgot the poor sick tama to launch himself straight into zoro's arms?

the matching wide happy grins? the hug? the fact that zoro's the first of the straw hats luffy sees after separating from zoro's group in zou, kinda like how zoro was the first to arrive at sabaody after 2 years? they're crazy (affectionate)

and of course, it's time for the tomfoolery to unfold as soon as they're reunited again

I think the contrast between opla luffy not only remembering wado's name (albeit uh kinda botched) but also caring for wado ichimonji while zoro was injured vs manga luffy not remembering why nidai kitetsu's name sounded familiar and nearly giving zoro an aneurysm by mishandling the sword on top of that is genuinely, hysterically funny btw. different zolu flavors and all of them tasty

I love their interactions with tama so far too! zoro protecting and shielding them both from hawkins with quite literally his own body was really good

and it will never not get to me how easy it is for luffy to leave his back open for zoro to protect when facing enemies, ever since they met, simply bc he has that much faith in zoro's strength and willingness to keep him (and others, when it occurs) safe. plus, to go back to zou for a bit - it's just sweet that luffy knows zoro more than well enough to look beyond all the layers of grumpiness and ostensibly harsh words at times. zoro didn't seem exactly eager to bring sanji back at first but one look at him after noticing zoro had been listening in to the group's conversation abt what happened to sanji and luffy immediately pointed out that he bet zoro was actually worried abt him.

on different occasions, zoro's straightforward or too-rational approach mixed up with his lack of tact tends to understandably annoy other characters but if there's someone who knows how much zoro genuinely cares for his crew (and others sometimes) regardless of what he says, luffy's definitely right there. it's been that way since they interacted for the first time and is why the riceballs incident was so significant to luffy back then. it's such a compelling aspect of their relationship, as usual

anyway just look at them!!!! they're so cute!!!!!

also, zoro going from -> unwillingly flung around arlong park by luffy -> stoically letting luffy manhandle him around in dressrosa -> actively asking luffy to bring him along and hanging onto him of his own volition? character development

and to finish this post, my condolences to law 🙏🏼 knowing those two are on the loose without any sane supervision around must be a nightmare (zoro himself is already on wano's shit list after cutting down that magistrate) and worse if they're together

I'm in love with it have literally cried over it three times now! I really hope folks can see some of the romance novel cover art inspiration going on here, I thought it was what Shery deserves! Also, please zoom in on the full piece, because you can't see Kyrah's adorable freckles here with how much tumblr compresses the image, and that's a damn shame. Now please excuse me while I go stare at it some more!

it’s the sound that tips him off.

it’s late, half-past hell by his last count, and mactavish knows there shouldn’t be a single soul in the showers this time of night. though he’s sure if he asked, he’d be told a soul isn’t in there.

just a ghost.

he almost chokes on the thick steam filling the locker room; humid and hazy and the perfect cover. or it would be, if the man collapsed in the far stall cared about hiding.

mactavish hates himself a little for the low sigh that falls from his lips. he wishes he wasn't so disappointed; that the promises he's heard over and over and watched be broken as many times hadn't wedged their way into his heart and convinced him that maybe, maybe this could be the time it sticks.

he doesn't know what's worse; the disappointment or the lack of surprise.

he holds his breath through the steam and leans over the limp body; stinging hot water hitting his back, instantly soaking through his clothes and already starting to burn. he flicks the tap enough to take the bulk of the heat out and straightens; a groan startling out of the man beneath him at the sudden lash of tepid water.

mactavish crouches, knees clicking and hooks a hand under his bicep to pull him up straight against the wall. if there was any vomit on his skin, it's been washed away by the pelting stream and he supposes he can count himself lucky for that. he tilts his limp head back and slips his fingers into his mouth; holding down his tongue and ignores the way it lazily jolts under his fingers to check his airway.

another small victory.

mactavish pulls his fingers out and cups his chin, keeping him tilted up and moves in the way of the water again so he can pull at his eyelid.

the eye he's met with is cloudy, so dilated there's hardly a ring of blue left.

he sighs again; hand falling away and letting his eye fall shut. "god damnit, riley."

riley moans, all his weight resting on the hand holding his jaw.

"aye, 'm talking ‘bout you," he grunts tiredly.

he lets riley's head fall forward to grab his arm, pulling him away from the wall to sit behind him; propping his body up against his chest. he leans his head back over his shoulder, keeping his face out of the water and his airway open just in case he hasn't actually finished throwing up.

he takes the rag riley'd half-managed to soap up and mechanically runs it over him; cataloguing new bruises and cuts and checking if the old ones are healing. sickly yellow fingerprints ring his hips, red splotches paint his ribs; too new to have settled into the deep purple he knows they’ll become.

riley slowly makes more noise as he rubs life into his body; still lying limp against his front but his head's starting to roll restlessly on his shoulder. he swipes between his legs and carefully doesn't think a single thing about what he finds.

"sean?" he rasps and mactavish's hand stills; eyes falling shut. he bites his check, hand clenching around the rag tight enough to shake and breathes hard out his nose.

he doesn't say a word, just forces himself to go back to cleaning.

he's not sure what would come out of his mouth if he did.

riley isn't conscious enough to hear him anyway.

he runs his fingers over his inner elbows for tracks and manages to muster some relief when he doesn't find any. seems to be a pill and booze night; far from the worst condition he's found him in.

he rinses him off, running a curtesy hand over his shaved head only for it to fall back to his jaw; his thumb stroking over the thick scar carved into his cheek.

"you gotta stop doin' this," he whispers.

he isn’t sure if he’s talking to riley or himself.

mactavish gathers up riley's too-light body into his arms and turns off the shower. his head lolls into his throat and he throws a towel over his dripping body and another over his shoulder. it doesn't stop him from tracking water all the way to his quarters but he'd like to see someone try to put in a complaint about it.

he lays out the other towel on the bed and sets riley down; moving his body into the recovery position in an all-too familiar routine. he dries him enough that he won't soak the covers as he pulls them up to his chest and kicks the waste bin within grabbing distance of the bed.

he goes to pull off his sodden clothes when a different noise makes him freeze.

a low sniffle.

mactavish slowly turns back to the bed to find riley's eyes squinting open; glazed with tears as he kneads at the covers.

he stares at him for a moment as he looks around the room and those hazy eyes lock on him for the first time. "cap'n?"

he swallows. "aye; s'just me, riley."

his hand pokes out from under the covers and for all the promises he's made himself - all the “never again”s and “this is the last time”s - at the end of the day, he's weak.

he sits on the side of the bed and takes riley's hand in his; already so cold after nearly boiling himself alive.

"y' mad a' me?" he sniffs.

mactavish runs his tongue over his lip and slowly shakes his head. "no, i'm not mad at you."

"prom'se?" he pushes.

he reaches out and caresses his temple with his thumb. his hand almost covers his head and it cuts like a knife to remember just how small riley is. "aye," he says, hushed. "i promise."

riley's eyes fall shut, voicelessly murmuring 'promise’ to himself over and over.

"I’ll ge’ bett'r," he slurs and between one breath and the next, he's out.

mactavish sighs, running his hand in a final pass over his head and stares at a face that looks so much younger in sleep; bruised and sallow skin hidden in the shadows. "i know you will."

he presses a slow kiss to his forehead, shutting his eyes against the grief that wells in his heart and gets up to pull a chair over to the bed; settling in for another long night's vigil of watching his broken lieutenant sleep, ready to tilt him over if he throws up, eyes locked on the slow rise and fall of his chest fearing tonight may finally be the time it stops.

Quackity: Every day I fall more in love with [QSMP]. I love it. I love this project because it's pretty unique, and what's so cool about it is that many cultures are getting together and the communities are getting along. Growing up as a Latino, I had never seen so much representation, so I'm glad I can do that myself. I told my team that we need to have lots of communication with the creators. We're always talking to them to see if they need anything. We're proud of that! I've seen a lot of discourse about the Eggs. I wanna be clear about why the Eggs are part of the server: it's not about the Eggs, but about what they represent. They represent the communication between cultures and communities. The Egg dynamic has been an evolving thing that allows different cultures and communities to communicate because they have something in common.

It's not about giving the creators tasks! It's something to let people communicate. Believe me that the team is aware of the creators that aren't fond of this dynamic, but this has been something that allowed the creators to break certain barriers. This is why the Eggs have lasted so long. We keep adding more members, it's not like we just added some and that's it. We keep adding more members.

We know that some creators don't like the dynamic. Look at Étoiles, he doesn't give a fuck and he just minds his business! And that's something the creators can do!

We've already said that we're going to ban people who are being too intense [in the chat]. There are people from both extremes: those who love the eggs and those who hate them and keep saying "kill them!" So yeah, I've seen some discourse about it, so I wanted to talk about what it represents. I'm proud of this project and thank you to everyone for the support.

We know that there are always going to be intense people, but we also know that most people want to enjoy the content without arguing! The QSMP creators have already said we're going to ban people who are crying in the chat.

Quackity said in the future, new dynamics will be implemented that are adapted to the type of content other creators make. It won't just be Egg stuff, there is much more coming.

He's going to try and go to Twitchcon Paris because Baghera, Etoiles, Kameto, and Antoine (and maybe Forever + some of the other Brazilians) will be there. Either way, Twitchcon Paris will definitely have a lot of QSMP creators meeting up!

Quackity says he's really hoping he can meet up with Roier again sometime because he misses him :(

I was going to draw the crown too but decided I don't hate myself that much(maybe some other day), and gave him a golden laurel crown, bcs I'm obsessed with that as a motif, and also its very remincient of the boy king statue that started this whole thing!

There's some symbolism of this, both intentionally but also just historically. I love that the orb represents that the monarch is holding the world in their hand, basically every old monarchy has one of those, and I think it's very cool for symbolism. But also bcs of that, I was forced to basically draw catholic fanart so, you win some you lose some. The star halo above him head is both to reference those religious statues with star crowns(I saw them a lot in Europe and they imprinted onto my brain), as well as: his four championships of course!
