13. does your self insert have any information about their family?
omg yes… so Erina decided to stay in Japan in her adulthood, but her family had moved out of the country but she still sees them every now and then..
Erina’s mom is bougie beauty Queen and likes to live in luxury, jokes around too much and doesn’t take things seriously unless she’s upset. She takes a lot of pride in looking young, and she puts a lot of pressure on Erina to take care of her looks to a detriment amount. She’s often quite tone deaf on reading emotions, but tries to mean well…
She’s a spoiled and too childish for her age, but quite the lonely woman and never feels fulfilled.
Erina’s dad is the sole bread winner, the reason why Erina was mostly raised in Japan was because of his career there. He is a workaholic and relatively a reserved pushover of a man, but he has a low tolerance of being bothered in his free time. He tries to be stone faced and unbothered, but he is quite stubborn and retreats in silent tantrums.
Erina’s older brother: A stubborn and reckless guy who mostly lives estranged from the family, but reaches out when he needs something. He caused Erina quite a bit of hardship as he would take a lot of things from her and cross a lot of her boundaries. A lot of drama in the family was caused because of his outlandish behavior, and he’s often got himself tangled in problematic people. Nowadays he isn’t as bothersome, but Erina doesn’t seem to mention him anytime family is brought up.
Erina’s family has a history of clashing quite a bit, and Erina grew up very conflict averse in response to this.. and Erina, despite being not very good at living independently, had been the first to move out and be on her own for quite some time
Erina loves her parents despite their flaws and they love her very much too as she was the sensitive baby who didn’t cause too much trouble for them, but as a result they don’t know Erina too well when she was a teen and now as an adult.
They all have puppy ears and buck teeth of their own..

Chapter 16: Shibuya Incident: Gate Closed
summary : In which you're isekai'd from your (own) parallel Jujutsu Kaisen universe to the canon universe.
wordcount : 1.8k
Pairing: Jujutsu Kaisen X Reader, mostly platonic, you're really just part of the story
Masterlist | Next
You've heard enough to know that Tsukumo Yuki dislikes the Jujutsu world. Meaning that it's already big news that she's shown up in the first place, but it also means she most probably had a plan. You don't blame her. Jujutsu society is messed up.
" The next stage of humanity lies in breaking away from cursed energy."
" No. It lies in optimizing cursed energy."
Yuki and whoever is hiding away in Geto's body appear to not agree on the matter.
She turns, shrugging at Yuuji, who raises a hand.
" Uh. I don't understand either of those."
" I thought you gave up on that plan 12 years ago after Zen'In Toji died."
" That's what I told Geto, yes."
You blink, your eyes turning to your best friend in question. She believed people with promising talent like him and Toji were the solution for a curse free world? Interesting.
For now, you'll have to stay focused in finding the technique that will defrost the stranger's technique.
Once again, you're lucky. Just like before with octopus man, you can for some reason use the stranger's technique to your advantage.
Admittedly, you've messed around with snow before, but you've never used it to defrost anything, to undo or create ice. But then again, there's a first time for everything, right?
Both Geto and Yuki explain their ideals. Yuki doesn't see the use of optimizing cursed energy, considering Japan would be a monopoly in that. Other countries wouldn't just stand by and watch. It would create a war. Whoever is hiding in Geto doesn't seem to care. He just wants cursed energy to take over in it's best form. Doesn't matter if it's through people or cursed objects. According to him, his ideal is a spec in the darkness. According to him, he should've let 'chaos consume around him beyond his control'. He had been limited, but now he had extracted the technique to do so.
At once, Yuki turns to Yuuji.
" There was a curse named Mahito, right?! The one whose technique could manipulate souls!"
" That guy just absorbed him."
Yuuji sounds awfully nonchalant while Yuki is obviously distressed. Her eyes widen at his words.
" Seriously?!"
Geto leans down, pressing his palm to the ground. At once, a symbol shows on the ground, also appearing in the sky. It looks eerie.
" Tengen's barrier? No, this is..."
" You have my thanks Yuuji. Curses cease to improve once they've been absorbed by curse manipulation. Your fight with Mahito is what really matured him."
" What did you do?"
Yuki is rightfully not in the mood for Geto's round of approval.
" I remotely activated Idle Transfiguration on two types on non-sorcerers that I had marked ahead of time."
As Geto continues to explain, you finally get the gist of unfreezing the icy technique, summoning the cursed energy in the form of water all around you. As well as that, their cursed energy weakens. Probably because of the wound they healed when Choso's Piercing Blood cut through their palm like that.
The stranger's eyes widen as you manage to free yourself, freeing Sukuna soon after and the rest as well.
" What's the matter Uraume?"
Geto looks over at Uraume, who is looking utterly scandalized as they watch you.
" L/N Y/N. "
You raise a brow. L/N? Now who is that?
" Sorry, I'm not game for talking right now."
With that, you sweep Uraume off their feet with a strong gust of water, using their own cursed energy against them. Sukuna laughs, the sound loud, causing several of your allies to turn to you in question.
" Hah! Finally."
You raise a brow at your best friend, he sends you a side eye back.
" What? You took long. I knew you could do it."
However, the fun ends after that. Due to Uraume's weakened form, their cursed energy disappears into thin air.
Unbothered, Geto continues speaking, explaining how he's been working on this for over thousands of years. He calls today 'the world of the future'. You don't need to wonder on it for long.
Within a moment, he has reached through Geto's curses, and summoned a lot of them at once.
You gather the rain which had fallen around you, crating the water circle in a steady flow around you.
Sukuna takes a step back, shifting closer to you.
His body language a clear message. 'Stay close to me.'
Admittedly, you weren't planning to leave.
Everyone is surrounded by curses at once. You glance around you in concern, noticing just in time to see Geto holding out the prison realm mockingly to Yuuji, adding that he's expecting great things from the boy.
Unbeknownst to you just yet, a notice from Jujutsu Headquarters is released.
1. Geto Suguru is confirmed to be alive, and has been sentenced to death once again.
2. The suspension of Itadori Yuuji 's death sentence is revoked and the execution is to be carried out immediately.
3. Yaga Masamichi shall receive the death penalty for inciting Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru and causing the Shibuya incident.
4. Gojo Satoru has been deemed an accomplice in the Shibuya incident and is thus permanently exiled from the Jujutsu world. Furthermore, removing his seal will be considered a criminal act.
5. Special Grade sorcerer Okkotsu Yuta is appointed Itadori Yuuji's executioner.
[ This is where the series ends. Continuing from this point means manga spoilers!] Manga spoilers for this chapter: chapter(s) 138
Some time passed. Not much. Maybe five minutes. The cursed spirits were a distraction.
" I'm sorry for not acting sooner. I wasn't sure on what to do...."
Geto escaped. His cursed spirits are all over Tokyo. Satoru Gojo is gone. Nanami and Nobara are dead.
If anything, you all lost. And horribly so.
On top of that, you have no idea where Megumi is currently.
You shouldn't have left him in that street in Shibuya. You hope Toge found him.
You suppose it's not Yuki's fault. If anything, you blame the higher ups.
" ...The situation had reached a point where I thought I should just keep an eye on things. At least temporarily... Have you realized I'm not necessarily on your side? I'm just a humble beauty who wants to eradicate cursed spirits from the world. By way of apology, my comrades and I will take responsibility for delivering those kids who were there. It's about time I confront Tengen.
What will you do?"
You don't know. Originally, you just wanted to go home. On top of that, you haven't felt as homesick as you do right now.
However, you can't. You know so. You have to help. They've taken you in after all, cared for you like you had always been one of their students. You owe it to Gojo sensei at least. You have to help get him his freedom. Going home comes later.
Sukuna glances at you. He knows you better than most people. He understands what's going through your head, how you work. He still has to catch up to what's been going on here. On who Ryomen Sukuna is. On Yuuji's story. On your own. However, he can't find it in himself to care. He figures he'll figure it out. You could be one of the curse users in this universe, and he'd still follow you. All the people he cares about are in your universe anyway.
Silently, his hand reaches out to hold your own. You glance up, but his expression is the same as always. No emotion shown on his face. You know he's reassuring you though. He'll stick by you, no matter what.
You give him a small smile, before looking at Yuuji.
" Yuuji, we'll follow you. "
Sukuna lets go of your hands, crossing his arms over one another as he looks at the boy he recognizes as his twin brother.
" No."
You blink in surprise. Sukuna raises a brow.
" The fuck you mean no?"
Yuuji shakes his head, eyes flitting over the visible injuries on you.
" I've already nearly killed Y/N. I don't want that to happen again. You two should continue to figure out how to go home. If you help, your chances of dying only increases."
" Yuuji, no, that literally wasn't you. Ryomen Sukuna tried to kill me. Not you.-"
" Don't be so angsty. It's stupid, and pathetic. We're not weak. And we're here anyway so we might as well help. Besides, I trust our classmates to manage bringing us home."
Yuuji sighs.
He should've expected this. You never seemed to listen anyway, and why would your best friend be any different?
" Y/N-"
" No. None of that."
You're glaring at him.
Yuuji sighs.
Of course, you and Sukuna end up joining him.
-
Parallel Jujutsu Kaisen Universe
Gojo Satoru's eyes widen beneath his blindfold, taking the weapon his student is holding.
" He lost it?"
" Don't think so. Rather the portal seemed to reject it. It was weird, considering it was clicked onto the Chain when he fell in. "
Fushiguro Megumi is a bit bloodied up, but still standing and ready to go yet again. Gojo is proud of his students. They've all grown quickly, jumping opportunities and often being able to take on things much bigger than them. It was rare for them to ask for help, especially for Megumi and Sukuna. His beloved angsty teenager students who would much rather get sucked into a portal towards some other place than ask their beloved sensei for help.
Gojo can't help but smile, causing Megumi to grimace.
" What're you smiling about?"
" Can't believe my dear students have finally decided to come ask for my help."
Megumi sighs.
" Don't ever tell Sukuna I did...."
Megumi trails off, eyes on the table between them.
" I just want my friends back. Even if they're annoying."
Gojo smiles.
" Wouldn't dream of it. Go visit Shoko, leave it to your sensei."
Megumi shakes his head, wiping the blood of his forehead.
" I'm fine. Let's get Nobara and Yuuji."
He prefers your touch to Shoko's anyway. Not that he'll ever tell you though.
[ A/N: We're in the manga : D. Never expected people to like this tbh. Glad you do tho.
ALSO I have finally decided. It's a (your) Sukuna X you, Megumi X you (maybe I'll make a bonus epilogue with (your) megumi X you. No promises on that though.)
Lastly, the sweet romance stuff is mostly reserved for the epilogues bc we're mostly following the canon story line.]

ᯓ★ perfect a gold-digger!sofia concept
{summary: what if sofia’s primary motive was to live the kook life? and what if rafe was her ticket to that dream?}
{a/n: it was fun to characterise sofia in a different way– i personally don’t think she’s a gold digger, so i added a bit of a softer spin to the concept! let me know what you think and what else you’d like to see from her or rafe’s characters!}
˙⋆✮⋆˙⋆✮⋆˙⋆✮⋆˙⋆✮⋆˙⋆✮⋆˙ ˙⋆✮⋆˙⋆✮⋆˙⋆✮⋆˙⋆✮⋆˙⋆✮⋆˙ ˙⋆✮⋆˙⋆✮⋆˙⋆✮⋆˙
𝜗𝜚 ࣪˖ ִ𐙚 He was perfect. Massive house, flashy car, shiny watch– Rafe Cameron, the kook king of the Outer Banks.
Sofia initially admired from afar, it wasn’t hard to after all– Rafe was at the country club almost every day and being the club bartender meant she had front row seats to him. The way all eyes gravitated to his person everytime he entered a room, the hundred dollar bills he’d pull out as tips, the way everyone wanted to be his friend.
Sofia wanted that. Desperately. She’d moved from Mexico to the OBX a few months ago, with barely any money; the money she did have, she used to make a down payment of the small house she’d rented. After that, Sofia quickly learnt the lingo of locals. Kook, Pogue. The Cut, Figure 8. 𝜗𝜚 ࣪˖ ִ𐙚
She was a Pogue and her house was on The Cut.
And the golden, glittering people at the club were Kooks and the sprawling white edifices were all on Figure 8.
Sofia burned with bitterness everytime one of those rich assholes bossed her around at work–
Two beers asap
Are you deaf? I said on the rocks
I’d like my bill today lady
But Rafe was different. He was…nice. He learnt her name– Miss Sofia he’d call her– and he’d always leave a generous tip. It just made Sofia more resolute– she wouldn’t stay a Pogue any longer.
“You going to Rafe’s party tomorrow?” She overheard a group of kook guys chatter at the bar. Her shift was nearly over, the sky dark already, and her body exhausted. But she perked up on hearing this.
“The one over at Tannyhill? Yeah I’m down.”
That night she was leaving work, trying to figure out how she’d get into that party as she headed to her car. But then it was like fate had thrust her towards the answer. There approaching her, way down the parking lot, was no other than Rafe Cameron.
Her heart soared in her chest. This was her chance.
They were moments away from crossing each other, Rafe locking eyes with her, throwing her a small half-smile.
Do it, she screamed at herself.
“Hi,” she greeted with a sweet smile.
“Hey,” he responded. Sofia could tell he was caught off guard but he still remained polite. Aside from when he ordered drinks, the two never talked. This was new territory for the both of them.
“I didn’t see you at the club today?”
“Yeah– I uh had some business to sort out.” Rafe stopped, taking the moment to talk with her.
She nodded enthusiastically, shining her big, bright eyes at him.
“You missed me huh?” He said with a smirk.
She was in.
“Of course, you’re my favourite customer.”
She watched him as he subtly eyed her.
“Well I guess I’ll see you then, bye Rafe.” She turned to walk to her car, her breath caught in her chest.
“Wait, wait. I’m having a party tomorrow at my house.”
She slowly turned around to face him, feigning unawareness, “oh…ok.”
“You should come by– if you’re free that is.”
“Yeah that’d be cool. What’s your address?”
Rafe raised his eyebrow as if he didn’t understand the questions, “Tannyhill?”
Sofia shook her head, to say she still didn’t know.
“Shit sorry, I keep forgetting that you’re not from here. Just give me your number and I’ll text it to you.”
And that’s how Sofia managed to be the girl on Rafe Cameron’s arm. It wasn’t hard to like him– he was charming, funny, not to mention handsome. She thought it’d be harder to get into his bed, after all she was a Pogue, a bartender– she was supposed to be invisible to him. But Rafe was surprisingly down. Desperate even. Like he was trying to distract himself from something.
Sofia’s heart sometimes stirred for the boy. But she reminded herself of what she truly wanted– this. The satin bedsheets, the crystal chandeliers, the ocean view.
She didn’t feel bad, or guilty– both her and Rafe’s ‘relationship’ was transactional. They both took things.
For her it was the fancy dinners he’d take her on and hefty tips he’d slide her at the bar and for him it was…company. Sofia realised Rafe Cameron was actually quite lonely.
So she played the part. It wasn’t hard. There was something vulnerable about Rafe that made her care. But she’d always quash it down knowing how messy feelings would be– she wasn’t loosing out on the lux and glitz of the kook life to something as trivial as heartbreak.
Sofia was currently taking a bath in the claw footed tub in the en-suite of Rafe’s bedroom at Tannyhill. Inhaling softly, eyes closed, she breathed in the lavender scent of the water, her hands skimming the iridescent bubbles on the surface.
It was late and after they’d messed around for a bit, Rafe had run her a bath.
Sofia sighed softly to herself thinking this wouldn’t be possible back home with her single shower with the shit water pressure.
A soft knock on the bathroom door interrupted her clouding thoughts.
“Hmn?” She hummed, blinking open her eyes.
“Can I come in?” Rafe asked, on the other side of the door.
“Yeah.”
He entered, Sofia smiling up at home from the bathtub. He’d gotten changed into some grey sweats and a T-shirt that pulled across his arms. Sofia wouldn’t have minded going for another round.
“What’s up?” She smiled, the water reaching her neck.
“Nothing– just wanted to talk to you about something.”
Her heart dropped into her stomach. Was he ending this? This…situationship?
“Hey, what’s wrong?” She simpered, her eyebrows furrowing in concern.
“That day–” he coughed clearing his throat, “that day on the balcony, after you stayed over, you gave me some advice– do you remember?”
Rafe approached Sofia, sitting on the edge of the bathtub, his body turned to face her. Her eyes trailed down to his fingers, the tips of them skimming the bubbly water.
That day on the balcony– that day he was acting…off. He’d been stressed out, terse. It had worried her.
Sofia nodded slowly, noticing how he avoided eye contact with her. “Yeah, what about it?”
“You really helped me that day…more than you know.” He mumbled.
Sofia lifted her hand out the water, locking her fingers with his, “Rafe– is everything ok?” She was seriously beginning to worry now, the feeling of care, that warm sticky emotion, worming its way inside her heart. When she felt like that she’d forget what this was– she’d forget how Rafe saw her as a fuck buddy, and she’d forget how she saw him as a gold mine. Instead she only saw him and how she wanted to help him feel better.
“Everything is fine. I uh just wanted to say thank you for that.”
She gave him a confused, lopsided smile, “you’re welcome?”
“Here I got something for you.” He let go of her hand, pulling out a small black box from his pocket, and giving it to her to open.
Sofia glanced at the box, then back up at him. He had a stupid smirk plastered across his face, the abashed look from before already faded.
“Rafe– you didn’t have to.” She said, internally thrumming with delight. Her fingers slowly opened the gift, revealing a thread of scintillating diamonds resting on black velvet, like stars in the night sky.
“Dios mio,” she breathed. It was beautiful.
“Here let me put it on you.”
“No don’t– I’m in the bath, I don’t want to ruin it.”
Rafe chuckled lowly, “Sof, they’re diamonds– they don’t get ruined.”
She didn’t even know what to respond to that, so she just grinned widely, letting out an excited laugh.
Rafe took out the spool of sparkles, standing up to walk behind her. He knelt down low, bringing the necklace onto her décolleté, Sofia jolting slightly at how cold it felt. She looked down to see the delicate metal rest prettily on her skin, the water lapping up to graze the diamonds.
“It’s so beautiful, thank you Rafe.” She gushed, turning her neck to face him.
“Don’t mention it,” he whispered into her ear, planting a kiss on her temple, peppering more kissed until he reached her lips. Sofia gasped against his mouth, savouring the sensation of the cold diamonds and his hot fingers trailing her neck.
Her broke the kiss, his eyes roving down her face to her chest, “I’ll let you finish your bath.” Rafe stood up, leaving the room.
Sofia felt conflicted. A diamond necklace? For a piece of advice? It felt like an unfair trade. But she quickly got over it when she saw the way they sparkled under the bathroom lights.
This was the life she wanted. And she would bask in it.
“Hurry up alright? I wanna see the necklace on you up close.” Rafe called from the room.
Sofia laughed, “gonna take my time now!” She called back, sinking into the water, closing her eyes once again.
Perfect. This was perfect.

So I was asked to expand on the whole Jamil having a trauma response to Leona comment on my last post, aaand here's that.
(This pertains to chapter 6 btw, so spoiler warning)
(also it's very much sleep deprived rambling so sorry if it's, well, rambly)
First off, I'm operating under the assumption that he has cPTSD. Jamil has clearly been programmed since birth to always obey the Asims and act in their best interests, even at the expense of his own life. This is a boy who has been forced to eat poison to protect them and their assets, who's family was forced to let that happen, and who has been so desperate his entire life to escape that situation that he was willing to resort to murder and doom not just himself but his whole family which he is implied to care about. Which means if simply quitting was an option, he would have done so. So, you kinda have to infer that he and his family don't have a choice in this role, and there are severe enough consequences for disobedience that fucking up or refusing is a worse option than risking a slow painful death every time Kalim wants to eat something. And this is all stuff that's been depicted blatantly in canon, not even touching on the assumptions that could be made from there.
So that's the position Jamil is in. That is a traumatic situation. This is a guy who has been groomed for servitude and obedience since he was old enough to talk. These kinds of circumstances absolutely can lead someone to be triggered into subservience or other trained behaviors. That's just, a thing with trauma.
Now, with the Asims being one of if not THE most powerful merchant families in their country, one of the expectations of Jamil as their servant and especially as the attendant to their heir is to ensure good relationships with other rich and powerful families, especially royalty. This was shown in the fireworks event, where he states that as a prince, if Malleus came to any harm under his watch while a guest of the Asims, it could start an international conflict. These are incredibly high stakes, a misstep on Jamil's part could ruin the Asim family and potentially even endanger his country, and it's pretty strongly implied that he and his family would take the blame and suffer the consequences. Now, much like how wearing a company logo while at work makes your actions representative of your employer, Jamil serving the Asims 24/7 (and especially as the chaperone of their heir) means that he is representing their family At All Times. This is why he is forced to defer to Kalim in all aspects of life even outside of their country, part of his job is to make his employers look good, and there are consequences for not doing so. This means that anyone of high enough status to be significant to the Asims is someone who Jamil is required to be subordinate to.
Then, enter Leona. As a wealthy prince, he would be someone who Jamil is expected maintain good relations with at any cost to himself. With his position Leona could literally destroy Jamil's (and probably his family's) entire life with a single complaint to the Asims about his conduct. Like, he could do that with no actual cause just for fun, because the Asims are 100% going to take the side of a prince over an expendable servant. This means that one misstep or any backtalk from Jamil puts him at massive risk, it is entirely up to Leona whether or not he suffers for any of these actions, and while the audience knows Leona's personal morals would prevent him from actually doing that, Jamil does not.
THEREFORE (sorry this ended up so long), once Jamil was in a life threatening situation with Leona, it seems likely that all this programming and fear would manifest in desperately trying to protect him and follow orders the way he's always done for Kalim. To me, the way he snapped into bodyguard mode, and immediately complied with every one of Leona's bitchy commands (like giving him a hair ornament to throw away without question, and barely saying anything about it after), even while being humiliated and knowing he was less trained in magic, just comes off more like a trigger response than anything. Especially because I can't imagine that situation not being triggering, and I can't imagine him knowing any other way to respond.
