i played a basketball tournament once and in the final tore a ligament but at that point my pain tolerance from all the injuries was so high i just though it was a regular twist and kept playing because it was the final.

Literally watching this woman who published a book about this time last year, and built a huge following on TikTok - have friends and a fandom who are reporting ANY critical reviews on TikTok, to the point where the book critic has had to lock down their accounts on other platforms.

Book reviews are not for the author - anything we should learn should come from writing groups, editors, people we trust to give feedback. Whether or not a book hits is subjective. Just ask someone what their favorite classic is, and you'll get very different and competing opinions. I know people who love Jane Austen. I know people who loathe her. They all love books, they just have different tastes, and that's fine.

Anyways, promise me that you'll stay FAR FAR away from reviews unless someone is attacking ME - and even then, ask me first?

(And fwiw, if you get weird vibes from someone before they even release their book - trust your gut. This person I'm vague posting about gave me weird mean girl vibes, and very much white woman who wants to be seen as oppressed.... and she's proven it true)

A papercraft commission of Zelda from Breath of the Wild/Age of Calamity, featured here with the Bow of Light! I had enormous fun cutting out both her swirling hair and the swirling shapes of the bow's decoration - extra-detailed shapes like that take a long time, but the end result is very satisfying. ^_^ And, of course, I'm always excited to make Legend of Zelda art!
