“Why is God Gale his bad ending? That’s the only one where he stands up to his abuser!”
Well firstly I don’t think any of the endings are a binary of good or bad, they are breaking and perpetuating cycles.
And secondly, there is a lot of nuance in the relationship between mortals and gods. It’s a terrible, awful dynamic because they are not even starting on the same footing, they are so far from equals that it becomes reductive to frame it that way.
Because to meet her as an equal, to be able to address the awful thing that happened with the orb, he would have to sacrifice parts of himself (parts that she as Midnight had to sacrifice to become Mystra too) that make him human. To pursue his view of justice, which is really based in anger, shame and a desire for vengeance and recognition, he would have to let go of those things.
Sometimes the greatest victory isn’t that. Sometimes it is moving past survival into something new. Sometimes it’s looking across a room and seeing the patterns that made a person who they are, or even stopped them being a person at all, and deciding you just don’t want to lose yourself to the same things.
All of the endings where people break cycles come at a huge cost. Shadowheart and Lae’zel have nothing in the world but the clothes on their backs. Astarion loses his ability to walk in the sun. But they are able to start carving something for themselves, as imperfect as it is, and that’s the victory of this kind of choice (I won’t go into Wyll and Karlach here because I think their writing is even less defined in the binary of a good and bad choice, but that’s for another post.)
To be a cycle breaker is never the perfect neat conclusion you want it to be, and I’m glad they didn’t make it that. If Gale wants to practice magic he will always, always have to make peace with Mystra as his God, not his lover, and this is something that I think older people have probably experienced in a myriad ways in their own lives too, and that strange sadness is really profound to me.

Thinking about how Hoody!Brian had SO many opportunities to kill Alex but hesitated and couldn’t time and time again. He had the guy captured twice and while you could argue that the Operator interrupted him once, he also HAD him at Benedict Hall. He could’ve ended it there, but he couldn’t.
Hoody!Brian could hate him all he wanted, beat him to hell and back, and mock and threaten him, but he never was quite able to pull the trigger. Even at his lowest, even full of hate and contempt for Alex (and some for everyone else alive too), he couldn’t seem to cross that particular line. Which is incredibly interesting to me.

Alright, the kewk classic 'face hole' design it is~ 📊✅
"Ain't he a doll?" 💋💦💕
And now while I fuck with this anatomy sketch 5ever, we gotta decide on a background! I'm thinking Sal would prefer to do his love-sick swooning in the privacy of his bedroom, but where, exactly? 🤔
'The bed'-
Perks: seems more routine, sowft snuggly nest to daydream and swoon in, [darling] collage on the wall, '... okay, what have you been doing with that pillow...?'
Drawbacks: Limited space, have to take stability/sinking into account with props, perspective is Hard and I will make that headboard look good or die trying
'The floor'-
Perks: seems more impulsive, more yan/NEET clutter potential (more room to spread out), a glimpse under his bed (and at all the [darling] stuff he's got shoved under there)
Drawbacks: That carpet is UGLY, I will probably (definitely) bite off more than I can chew trying to fill all that space with props, it hurts my Everything just thinking about lying on the floor like that for too long
'Secret third thing'-
....???? idk you tell me lol

The whumpee couldn’t show much emotion because of their situation. They had escaped a whumper that would hurt them whenever the whumpee made a noise or showed signs of pain, and when they were rescued everyone took the whumpee as someone who had always been that cold. Whenever the whumpee tries to show emotion everyone is surprised, and the reactions always shove the whumpee back into their shell.

This better not be the last we see of Katsuki before this is over.
I'm going to be really bummed if it's like the third movie and they fight entirely separate battles, katsuki passes out, Izuku fights on, and they don't meet again until afterwards, likely in the hospital.
At least have Katsuki get to Izuku by the time he's wrapping up with Shigaraki
At least please have them maybe throwing a final punch together or something comparable, or having katsuki supporting izuku, there are so many ways it could happen,
At least have them passing out together on the battlefield, exhausted, bleeding, but victorious.
PLEASE AT LEAST HAVE THEM HAVE EVEN A SMALL CONVERSATION OR SAY SOMETHING TO EACH OTHER, PLEASE LET THEM TALK BEFORE ITS ALL OVER
