So week 2 of this semester! It's already hard to keep up with 17 credit hours. I have been able to keep up with assignments amd readings for all my classes though. I was able to get ahead on assignments for my online class until February 14th as well. It's hard studying for my engineering class and I'm worried about my physics quiz tomorrow.
I finished the Rome commentary I was working on during the break. So I've been productive but it doesn't feel like it because there's always more to do. I also had a pretty bad cold earlier in the week which made me more fatigued and hungry than normal.
South Africa files ICJ case accusing Israel of 'genocidal acts' - (29th December 2023, 04:19 EST | Source: BBC)
Following its application to the ICJ, South Africa's presidency said in a statement that the country was obliged "to prevent genocide from occurring".
"South Africa is gravely concerned with the plight of civilians caught in the present Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip due to the indiscriminate use of force and forcible removal of inhabitants," it said.

TODAY (Jan 3, 2024) — U.S. White House National Security Council Spokesman John Kirby Calls South Africa's Suit "Meritless, Counterproductive, and Completely Without Basis in Fact" (Source: C-SPAN, PBS)
The White House's response is blatant gaslighting and displays a callous disregard for human life.

ISRAEL TO APPEAR TOMORROW BEFORE THE INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE IN HISTORIC CASE OF GENOCIDE
The Israeli Occupation authorities are to appear tomorrow before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in a historic case of genocide brought before the Court by the nation of South Africa.
South African authorities brought the accusations of "acts of genocide" against the state of "Israel" before the ICJ in a set of charges filed on Dec. 29th, 2023, with Jan. 11th and 12th being the dates set for proceedings to begin.
The South African authorities, in filing the charges, submitted an 84-page report detailing carefully collected evidence that "Israel", an occupying power, violated its obligations under International Law and the United Nations Charter in committing the act of genocide against the Palestinian population of the Gaza Strip.
The South African authorities have asked the ICJ to “indicate interim measures in order to protect against further serious and irreparable harm to the rights of the Palestinian people under the Genocide Convention and to ensure Israel’s compliance with its obligations under the Convention not to engage in, prevent and punish genocide.”
What better way to pass time then to write up the timeline of Sol's time traveling? 😂😂
Since this includes everything from the beginning and I don't tag spoilers, I'll put it under the keep reading to be safe.
Early June 2008 - the first time she comes back to the past. I don't think we got a specific date, but the radio playing in the background indicates that it's the beginning of the summer.
Mid to Late June 2008 - based on the poster, this is around when Sun Jae's last swim competition takes place, and then he must have gotten injured the next day or a few days after this?
Early to Mid July 2008 - Sun Jae's surgery and recovery. It probably would have been about a week or two (at most?) for Sun Jae to get the surgery and then be discharged from the hospital. And right after this would have been when Sol gets drunk and Sun Jae confesses to Sol for the first time.
Around Jul 20th, 2008 is when Sol travels back to the future and 19 year old Sol comes back.
Jan 1st, 2023 - Sol travels back to the same time that she had left and I think goes back that night around midnight again.
Jul 29th, 2008 - this is the second time Sol comes back to the past. Basing the 7/20 date on her saying that 10 days have passed.
Aug 10th, 2008 is when Sol takes Sun Jae out to the movies - based on the 400m freestyle swim event that took place during the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Aug 16th, 2008 is when Geum meets Sun Jae for the first time and also Sol's dad's memorial day - based on the weightlifting event.
Aug 23rd, 2008 is when Sun Jae confesses to Sol for the second time and Sol's mother is admitted to the hospital for surgery - based on the baseball game that they were cheering for (S. Korea vs Cuba).
Sept 1st, 2008 is the day she gets kidnapped by the taxi driver - which also happens in the original timeline - and then travels back to the future.
Jan 1st, 2023 - she returns to the future for the second time and this time, she is able to walk.
Jan 15th, 2023 - Eclipse has their concert and she reunites with Sun Jae. The next day, Sun Jae is attacked.
Based on the preview for episode 9, she returns to March 2009. This means that Eclipse could still debut that summer. In the original timeline, they had debuted in July 2009.
Nominations for The CRiT Awards opened today! For those who aren't familiar, The CRiT Awards are a peer-driven TTRPG awards show where creators can nominate each other to be recognized for their work in the TTRPG space.
For those of you deciding who you’d like to nominate for each category, I hope you’ll consider nominating me for the category of Best Game Master | Indie.
During the eligible period I GM’d two seasons of Monsterhearts: Freshman Year for Girls Run These Worlds and 6 indie one-shots on my own channel. I also facilitated 7 GMless indie games and Shall We? a Wanderhome limited series. (GMing and Facilitating are very much not the same thing, but I want to highlight the number of indie TTRPG shows I've produced/facilitated as well as GM'd.)
In 2023, I started the Incredibly Indie series on RollForFelicity, which is a series specifically intended to get more eyes on games with few (if any) examples of play. I consider myself a huge supporter of indie TTRPGs.
Not only do I increase the visibility of indie TTRPGs, but I’m also very good at running them. I get to the heart of the mechanics and lean into the stories and moments each game is hoping to achieve. When I run a game, I try to run it as the quintessential example of what THAT game can be.
I have a deep love for indie TTRPGs, but more than that, I think I’m really fucking good at running them. So if you’ve enjoyed any of the series or one-shots I’ve GM’d, I hope you’ll consider nominating me for Best Game Master | Indie.
