How often do you think Jekyll & Hyde stain their clothes with green potion goop? What does the staff who does the laundry think of the glowing green stains on Dr. Jekyll’s clothes? (You think it glows in the dark?)

I love questions like these because I get to talk about unnecessary details of my headcanons lmao:

Given that one of the many (occasional?) side-effects of the potion was nausea, I do think a fair amount of their shirts have had to suffer for it. Maybe most of the staff has already gotten quite used to their master's oddities, plus they get paid well enough to bear with them. Doesn't mean there won't be any gossiping though. Or rumours.

I think set and setting might also play an important role in how distressing the transformation is. Like how Jekyll managed to turn into Hyde without any of the gruesome body horror shebang while asleep. Which might be 1., because his body has gotten so used to it already or 2., because he was in a completely calm state of being.

As to why it glows in the dark it might be due to the phosphorus it contains? Or some of its compounds. I mean phosphorus does glow when it oxidizes. As to the green colour I can only chalk it up to copper compounds atm.

Big fan of the hc that it's got to be some weird glowy shit though, really adds to the whole fantastical character of it!

he's got that "breaking every preconceived rule and idea and notion in the book for 1880s london and Not Giving A Shit" swag and i love him for it. i figured i'd give him a version of his canon cape where he either tore through it in a fit of rage or stole it off the back someone he fought or something! so the tears are less "for style" and more "wretched creature". in my head he is a ball of largely justified (though partly caused by miscommunication) rage

he tries to argue that alcohol is enough and it evidently is Not. if the Society already exists in the au's present time, Ito has probably tried to brew him a mild anxiety medicine which he ended up forgetting to take on account of being too busy working and running around at full speed to never be late to anything. he's constantly on the verge of another Army Of Nightmares. this is slowly turning into jekyll whump <3 i hope that's not bad wkhfksjfj.

(oh god ginger jekyll and hyde..... that's... that's a thought for sure oh my god. i love that. yes i love that LMAOOOOO)

exploding them with my mind i wanted to try to explore Glass Twins basic designs a little. hyde has suffered the most changes because i hate him /j notes: - hyde is the same height as jekyll but slouches like hell (might even be a little taller than him with the legs) - jekyll is basically the same save for tiny details that he generally hides (so he usually looks. the same as canon. the thing that's usually different is the constant awareness below the surface that he's supposed to look different) (the lingering effort he makes to isolate his appearance and separate it from hyde) - in the image, jekyll hasn't had the time to dye his roots and probably couldn't put on contacts before leaving the house (stress!) - hyde's face shape is closer to jekyll's than in canon - i originally wasn't going to color this but Something Possessed Me (hence the weird blue lines) - hyde's legs have hydraulics (didn't know much of how to draw those so i just added the little steam engine tubes to the sides) and an impact absorption mechanism (inspired by a page update somewhere that i remember saying he probably has some sort of device on his legs so he doesn't break them all the time in canon) - jekyll has more anxious/panicky mannerisms here. he's more jittery. he gets that mildly creepy "horrified" look more often. the dawning dread is coming for his ass and he is NOT ready for it - i ended up not drawing it like that but his hair's supposed to look clumpier and sharper in shape. it's closer to hyde's in general type and form, just more well taken care of - can i get an F in chat for blonde jekyll, no one deserves to be blonde Ever /j
