You had finally secured tickets to Lyney and Lynette’s captivating Magic Show.

After putting in hard work through small art commissions and assisting others, your perseverance paid off. Luckily, you found yourself seated in the second row, enjoying a perfect view of the entire stage. As the lights dimmed, a spotlight illuminated the enchanting magicians.

“Welcome to Lyney and Lynette’s Magic Show!” Lyney exclaimed, his arms wide open in a welcoming gesture.

The performance unfolded before your eyes, blurring the line between reality and fantasy.

The show concluded with a burst of applause, whistles, and amazed cheers filling the room. Lyney and Lynette took their bows, expressing gratitude to the audience before exiting the stage.

While others started to leave the theatre, you remained lost in your thoughts, unable to tear yourself away.

You noticed Lyney’s occasional glances in your direction, but you brushed them off, assuming he was merely engaging with the audience. Your hands moved instinctively, retrieving a small paper and a worn pencil that you carried everywhere. Swiftly, you sketched the scene, capturing the magicians as the focal point.

Unaware of another presence, you snapped out of your trance when a red rose materialised before you.

Your eyes widened at the sight, then lifted to meet the culprit—a mischievous grin adorning his face.

“Well, M’lady, perhaps we should step outside before we find ourselves locked in here,” he suggested, tucking the flower gently into your hair. Extending his hand, he invited you to join him.

You accepted his hand, and he turned to his sister, who stood waiting.

“Took you quite a while,” she remarked, her expression unchanging.

“Apologies, Lynette. It seems M’lady was deeply absorbed in thought,” he responded.

“Please stop addressing me like that,” you murmured, your cheeks tinged with a blush.

“Apologies again! I haven’t had the pleasure of knowing your name. I’m Lyney. This is my sister, Lynette, and you are...?” He walked alongside you as the three of you departed the theatre.

“(Name), pleased to make your acquaintance,” you replied.

From that day forward, your bond with Lyney grew remarkably strong, much to Lynette’s amusement as she shook her head at her brother’s persistent attempts to win you over.

In a meadow bursting with vibrant blooms, Lyney stood amidst the flowers, becoming both your muse and a devoted spectator. As your brush danced gracefully across the canvas, each stroke seemed to weave a rich tapestry of emotions.

“Are you almost finished, M’lady?” Lyney’s voice broke the tranquil air as he noticed your momentary pause.

“Hmm, just a few more minutes,” you replied, urging him to remain where he stood.

When the art piece finally took shape, it radiated colours and beauty that surpassed mere brushwork. Lyney was thoroughly impressed, unable to contain himself as he pressed a kiss to your cheek, prompting a delightful blush from you.

“Thank you for immortalising me in your art, M’lady. I shall treasure it,” Lyney expressed, his tone sincere.

“It’s no big deal,” you replied with a smile. Lyney settled beside the portrayal of yourself, gazing at you with unwavering attention.

“Is something wrong?” you questioned, perplexed by his sudden change in demeanour.

“No, it’s just that something has been occupying my thoughts,” he confessed, his fond gaze fixed on you.

Your head tilted in curiosity, awaiting an explanation.

“Despite my belief in the wonder of my magic tricks, they pale in comparison to your beauty and talent. I’m afraid, M’lady, that you’ve stolen my heart. So, will you do me the honour of accepting this responsibility?”

I just read some dpxdc AU’s back to back and while reading a Damian/danny thing right after a twin au thing which then reminded me of a Dead on Main forced arranged marriage au I’d read right before and I’m gonna Mix Them Together

So- Danny and Damian are twins. They were really close and then something happens to separate them

(Danny dies and lives out his best ghost life, Clockwork gets his hands in things and sends Danny to another place/universe so that time runs smoothly, Danny manages to escape on his own/talia helps him, hell- maybe he just trips into the Lazarus Pits and he gets reborn [it would be kinda trippy for everyone if he ends up being reborn at the same time he was actually born, time shenanigans ya know?] so then we get Actual Little Brother Danny and Older Brother Damian rather than twin older/younger brother dynamics [mostly])

SO BACK TO MY IDEA

Whatever happened to separate them happens and then some cult or something offers someone as a bride to some ancient deity they found in like, a necronomicon or something, where they can offer someone’s hand in marriage to earn favor with the deity/as a way to control them, they could either use one of their own, kidnap someone, or even some random kid(extra angst if it’s one one their own kids)

So- the bats get involved to keep the group from doing whatever nefarious plans they thought up and Jason managed to get whoever it is out of the ritual circle but wasn’t fast enough to get themselves out, so he ends up disappearing in a concussive flash of Lazarus green light

Queue Danny meeting his magically bound fiancé

Danny and Jason end up getting along Really Well, they 100% hit it off once Jason is sure Danny isn’t trying to pull something. They work to find a way to un bind themselves from the fiancé thing and Danny fixes/finds a way to fix Jason’s pit madness, all the while having ghostly problems/issues that just so happen to make their bond grow deeper until they decide to hell with it! Let’s just get married!

And all the while the batfam are going nuts over trying to get Jason back

I’m gonna say that time between one dimension to another, and especially in the Infinite Realms is kinda wonky (so if Danny’s ’home’ dimension is different from the Bats’ Jason could meet the family without his own family knowing about it)

I just wanna make sure that Danny and Jason’s romance doesn’t get rushed ok? Ok

So- the bats manage to summon him back, and Jason’s the most relaxed anyones seen him since he died, they talk a bit, Jason’s kinda annoyed

Then eldrich Danny shows up

He either materializes out of nothing or Danny manages to find the ritual circle that was used and tears it open with a giant claw to find Jason

Once he’s there and sees that Jason is fine, but before shifting back into his more human form he goes ‘Dami?’ In an eldritch voice and the tone of voice, the inflection reminds him of something no, of someone

‘Danyal?’

And the eldritch beings form Shifts into something more recognizable even as a long black tail it has in place of legs wraps around Jason’s middle

That’s pretty much all I have! Oops, I didn’t really think that it would end up as a cliffhanger, my bad! But also, just imagine the whole adopted brother is in a relationship with my younger twin shenanigans that would happen, Dami would be so protective and jealous of all of the attention (from Danny) that isn’t getting directed at him

Halloween is a big deal here so I may have went a bit overboard but idc. Happy Halloween !! (excuse me if this is wonky I just woke up)

when halloween comes there’s three types of people you can find around ;;

THE CLASSICS ;; they’re the embodiment of halloween spirit and do all the traditions but most importantly, they’re never “too big” for trick or treat , after all what’s better than walking hand to hand with you, pockets full of candy?

BACHIRA ; he was so excited for for this !! You two wore matching costumes and practically went to every house in 10 km radius . When you went to home you were exhausted so just ended up having a sleepover in his place ! just don’t let him have a sugar rush the next day

KUNIGAMI ; kids LOVE him so he ended up babysitting a bunch of them going trick or treat(so there’s no bombs in their lollipops) and he was so glad that you agreed to come along too. At the end he’s carrying sleeping kids to their homes and even if how much you may protest, he is carrying you back home too

SHIDOU ; he drags you EVERYWHERE it doesn’t matters if the house’s lights are off and you start to suspect he’s here more for the trick part than treat. Even so he makes sure you’re entertained and have a bunch of candy, he also tries to scare you using the decorations

OTHERS ;; aryuu , NANASE , hiori , ness

THE PARTY ANIMAL ;; every holiday is a chance for a part for them and halloween is no exception to that , enter the probably over decorated house and if you’re lucky you’ll have some good food and a dj with a good music taste , even if not they will make sure you will stay entertained for the whole night

REO ; it’s the most fancy party you’ve ever seen , there’s even zombie waiters around, carrying halloween themed snacks and to admit, it’s kinda too much . But you know how much Reo worked on this and who are you to ruin his fun? Just grab his hands and dance all night !!

SAE ; it’s hosted by a sponsor he said, im only here because I have to and you’ve never seen someone try as hard as him to hide that he’s having fun . Like chill boy nobody will figure out you have a heart deep inside. He has the classic itoshi resting bitch face but you can see the shine in his eyes as you two chatted

YUKIMIYA ; unlike the guy above, he genuinely doesn’t wants to be here; some lameass “party” full of boasting business man and agencies trying to make contracts with him, only thing that’s making this tolerable is you next to him, talking shit about everyone around behind their backs. After a hour you two can’t stand it and went to hide in the balcony instead

THE SHUT-IN ;; these guys…they would rather be in house than outside in halloween, it’s either that they hate it or just don’t have any spirits. Well you can still have fun I guess (IM SORRY I just love halloween and hate just ins okay)

NAGI ; halloween? Isn’t that the holiday where you go around to get candy? You can’t believe him. This guy says he forgot today was halloween, and all the costume ideas you sent him were just your weird fashion sense…or so he says but you can see the little cape and paper fangs he put on Choki and the games he picked for the two of you suspiciously revolve around monster and horror themes…maybe he has spiritus after all

RIN ; for halloween he invited you over to his house for a horror movie marathon. even if you might’ve said you don’t like horror movies his judgmental look(and words) made you come. And you’ve never seen someone watch a horror with a face as straight as his, the only emotion he shows is the small smile he has when he turns around to see you all snuggled up against him.

BAROU ; he…dislikes halloween to put simply. so when he invited you over he was just thinking about hogging you all to himself what he didn’t expect was for you to come over with a bunch of costumes and candy. So now he is sitting there, letting you add to his new halloween look. No he doesn’t enjoys this. He is just being forced to this…by invisible forces and the smile you have

season 19 was a let down 😭😭

spoilers below!

i’m sure that over a year of hype doesn’t help my case here but i really was expecting something a little better 😭

i don’t mean to be too much of a critic in this post and sorry if i seem like i’m complaining but man 🧍‍♂️ full review here we go

sarges death was expected and the character arc that simmons got from it was pretty well done , he was cool — sarges death did just seem kind of rushed but that’s probably also time constraints , nobody seemed super affected by it tho and that kinda put me off ☹️ sure the reds were like Sad right after he died , and grif + simmons had the moment at his grave, but it’s literally not brought up again ? simmons just gets to be a leader kinda and tucker doesn’t get told he killed sarge, nobody else brings it up after the climax?? not even during the climax as they fight meta again ?

^ although sarges final moments were done very nicely and the va’s had a ton of emotion ❤️

along with that, wash’s acting was amazing as always

grif was characterized really weirdly throughout the first half of the season - i’m guessing they tried to make him the “straight man” of the group but it kinda fell flat because he just seemed irrationally angry every single time he spoke 😭 he kinda evened out as it went on tho so that’s better than nothing

Simmons was very kind this season that was interesting and cool He didn’t have a care in the world

animation was wonky at times but it was there - fight scenes weren’t monty oum style of crazy but they were creative with them and ill give them that! good callbacks during the fight

character callbacks were cool! i’m glad we got a little bit of kai (no reunion with grif tho so that sucks), dylan was there but she was kinda characterized weird, grey there, agent one (???) for some reason, 479er!!!!! she was well done and she fit really well into the plot!, no checkup on chorus life which was kinda sad (no lieutenants boohoohoo) some of the callbacks felt out of place tho

i don’t like how they handled tex cause even though it was cool she was back , i feel like we’ve done this dance a thousand times

also carolina quite literally came out of nowhere ?? how did she just ? drop from the sky what ??? LOL

absolutely no donut at all ? there was like one mention of him that i can remember ? lopez is just forgotten about back at the bases ??? i don’t know if the donut thing was something behind the scenes but Uhh

music wasnt up to par - they just reused old songs basically , the weird song that played during the “Memories” sequence wasn’t good

i’m not the hugest fan of the ais in general so i don’t think about them too much but i feel like sigma wasn’t characterized in the same way he was in the freelancer seasons — in pfl he kind of subtly manipulated maine into becoming meta etc etc but for tucker , he basically just like😭 tortured him WHICH IS PROBABLY CAUSE LIKE tucker knows This guy is evil Ahhhh!!! but still that was a little weird

no grimmons sad day for the rvb fandom - some scenes could be read as grimmons, like grif basically inviting simmons to go with him , i’m confused on why simmons stayed because simmons himself literally said One last mission ? so idk what he’s doing bro idk if he’s staying in blood gulch or what — grif just straight up leaves and like ? are they gonna see eachother again orrr ? what’s happening

the ending felt rushed and kinda weird - just vibes , i think i’m biased because i now realize that not a lot can beat the s13 ending , but even so , grif just kinda leaves and that’s the end 😭

i feel like we didn’t get a whole lot of conclusions for all the characters even tho that’s what was promised

overall i’m probably giving this a solid 5-6/10 , the season was overall very hit or miss in some aspects and scenes

ANWYAYS😭 don’t let my opinions take away from your experience with season 19! this is just how i felt about it after my first watchthrough and my opinions might/will change!

Stranger Things have happened in the nighttime

Billy Hargrove x reader

summary: You can't shake off the unpleasant feeling in your stomach the closer you seem to get to "Watergate" as Dustin named it.

a/n: I won't spoil too much.... not proof read of any kind. There's probably tons of spelling mistakes etc. So if you find some lemme know <3 title's inspired by Chase Atlantics song 'Stranger things'

The gentle waves of the lake rock the boat from side to side, a bit of wind accompanying the calm lake.

"Alright, your compass is going from wonky to wonky with a capital ahhh,'' Robin says, gaze fixed on the small metallic compass. The walkie talkie crinkles a bit and then Dustin answers, "Okay, the gate should be very close to you now."

You try seeing the three kids standing at the shore, knowing very well it was way too dark to actually see them. The moon shines brightly above you, casting everything in some kind of mysterious, yellow glow. "I'll see what's down there." Steve decides and shrugs his shirt off. "What? No!" Nancy protests and they start arguing, before Steve counters with him being lifeguard as well as swim team captain.

She glares at him which he ignores. Eddie looks at you, confusion clear on his face. "They're always like that." You shrug and look at the black sea beneath you.

There was nothing you were more afraid of than water where you can't see the ground, you must admit. You watch as Steve gets ready to dive down, and you pass him the torch that you'd wrapped in a plastic bag. He thanks you and before jumping off the boat you hold his pant leg. "Be careful and come back up the second you find the gate, yeah?" he nods and playfully ruffles your hair which causes you to lightly hit his calf. "Fuck off," you groan, trying to fix your messed up hair.

Steve laughs before diving down the lake.

It's still for a while and you pray for him to come back soon. You couldn't deal with more loss and grief.

When he comes back up he gasps for air and pushes his hair back. "Alright, it glows like really red and is super slimy." Nancy informs the rest of the group per walkie talkie and you keep your gaze focused on Steve. Something didn't feel right. Usually if you got a hunch it was always right, something you'd gotten from your mother.

"Steve, come out of the water, something feels wrong." You see Eddie looking at Nancy, probably confused why you'd randomly say that. The others already knew about this sixth sense kinda thing and didn't retort anything. Steve nods and reaches out for your hand before slipping and falling back in the water. He looks down at the lake in confusion before slowly raising his head, panic evident in his eyes.

You shoot forward, grabbing his forearm only to be pulled off the boat and into the dark water. You choke on the water entering your throat and lungs, closing your eyes as the water burns against them with the speed you're rushing through it.

You see the red glow and panic sets in. This was one of the vines. The Demogorgon. Or, in this case Vecna as you'd dubbed it. There was no way out of this anymore you realize when you're being pulled through the gate, There was no feeling that could describe what you felt when arriving in the Upside Down, you think.

Fresh but ice cold air seeps through your clothes and your teeth start chattering, still tightly holding Steve's arm. He seems to have lost consciousness for a second, blinking awake. You crawl forward, desperately reaching for his hand but one of the vines circles your ankle and starts pulling you back, away from Steve.

A bloodcurdling scream leaves your throat as you're being dragged over the hard floor, various sorts of things causing tons of small scratches and wounds on your body. You try kicking the vine, trying everything to get away from this hellish pain.

It slows down as it pulls you over something big, circled by vines. You use it to your advantage and pull yourself free, quickly running back to where Steve would be. Except he wasn't there anymore, and to your horror you heard voices. Robin, Nancy, Eddie and Steve. They were talking loudly, their voices echoing through the dark space. You sob, trying to run in their direction while calling for them.

"y/n?" They heard you, you could cry from relief. Screaming for them you try finding a direction they're coming from. You turn in circles, trying to escape the lurking gray trees. The small white stuff falling from the sky snowflakes? - gathered in your hair and the cold creeps under your clothes and captures your body in a consistent shiver.

Aimlessly, you run through the woods until you find yourself standing in front of a similar house. How'd you come to stand in front of Billy Hargroves house? The vines covering it seemed to eat it up completely more than any of the other houses.

What shocks you slightly is the red glowing that emits from the inside. You frown, interest piqued. You'd lost track of the others a few minutes ago and what good would it be if you kept wandering around when you were lost anyway? You look over your shoulder at a loud screech, probably from one of the bats that were crowing the space as well as guarding the Watergate.

With your eyebrows scrunched up you step closer to the house. You'd only been here once before, in your dimension, and you'd been able to hear the loud rock music all the way outside in your car. Since you tutored Max every Wednesday (or were there for her in general if she needed someone to talk to) there were a few instances you'd brought her home. Usually she'd make you stay a block away, probably not wanting to be embarrassed about Billy. you guessed.

When he died she came to you first. She didn't tell you a lot of details but you knew he sacrificed himself, saving the town and all of her friends. You remember her crying, guilt evident in her features. You've tried all the time to get her to realize that it wasn't her fault and it was his decision but she was stubborn and didn't listen to you. You did the best you could and took her to the graveyard frequently.

You smiled and opened the door to the house, black vines creeping about and snow flakes floating through the stale air.

Entering room after room you stopped short in front of the one that must've been Max's. You figured some time ago that the upside down didn't go with time, didn't evolve. It was stuck to when it - seemingly - was first opened. 1983. The year Will went missing and all this mess started.

You run your fingers over the cold furniture before sighing. What were you doing?

Leaving the house you wince while going down the steps of the veranda. The bites where the bats had gotten you were gradually becoming more painful and you were losing like a ton of blood. Wow, of course this would happen to you. Getting pulled into another dimension and being attacked by rabid bats. You'd always wanted to experience that. Note the sarcasm.

You shakily rip a piece of your shirt off and wrap it around your middle, pulling it tight. You had some experience with bandaging and taking care of wounds - perks of having a skater friend.

"Let's find the others," you say to yourself and make your way back through the woods.

Walking through the woods without knowing where you were going or if you were even going closer to where you came from was very probably one of your worst ideas yet.

So, hearing voices made you stop in your tracks. Either you were starting to have hallucinations because of the blood loss and dehydration or your friends were close.

You watch out for the vines and make your way towards them. The voices get louder and you press a hand to the wound on your side. The blood had started seeping through the cloth tied tightly around your waist and was running down your leg in singular drops.

You skip the last few steps, finding yourself at Skull Rock. The rock towers over you just as the trees. Everything is still - a sickening gray or dark red.

"No, we first find her then we find a way out!" You're certain you hear Eddies voice exclaim, for once not sounding like the goofball he usually is. You stumble over, leaning against the rock that was holding up the big one which looked like it was floating.

"Guys-" Robin tries interrupting at seeing you lean against the stone behind them. "Not now, Robin!" Steve chides and goes back to arguing with Eddie about something. "I know that we gotta get her first but listen: it would make a whole lot more sense to find a way out, get her or find her and immediately get out of here!" So they were talking about you.

"I like Steve's idea." You giggle and walk over to Eddie, throwing an arm around his shoulders as far as it was possible. You can't hide the scrunch of your nose from the pain of moving your arm around too much as it stretches the skin where you were littered with bites.

Eddie flinches before recognizing it's you and pulling you close. "Oh my goodness, I really thought I was gonna lose you for a few seconds back there," he mutters through a sigh of relief and wraps his arms around your waist, leaning his head on your shoulder. "Missed you, too, dumbass." You laugh and pat his back a few times before welcoming Steve's hug.

Nancy was the first one to speak up about your injuries. "Steve told us that some animals attacked you and got you pretty badly." you nod, leaning against Steve with your back. "Yep." You pop the p of the word and glance at Steve, "He had to play hero and didn't wanna come out of the water quick enough and, boom, I'm being dragged over rocky floor with weird vines moving all around and literal bats trying to tear me apart!" Steve snorts in amusement as you huff and Eddie looks worried but amused.

"Dude, don't worry. She's gone through worse and here she is, ain't she?" The boy behind you tries calming Eddie who started pulling at strands of his hair. "She- she's gone through worse??" He asks in disbelief and leans forward. You giggle and close your eyes in pain.

"Yes, she's really tough." Nancy states with a small smile and waves you over. You free yourself from Steve's embrace and go to her.

"I thought about it: remember how Will communicated with us when he was stuck here?" You think for a second before nodding, "The Christmas lights." Nancy nods, waiting for you to catch on. "Fuck, you're right!"

You pass Eddie's trailer on your way to Nancy's house - hoping for Dustin and Lucas to be around in their dimension. You're a bit behind all of them as you lost a considerable amount of blood by now. Something rustles next to you and your head shoots up. Timidly, you move closer to inspect the cause of the noise. If it was another monster your best option would be checking now what kind it was.

When Eddie sees you parting from the group he decides to quickly follow you. "Hey, we just found you don't get lost again," he calls after you and comes closer. You flip him off over your shoulder and keep walking towards the source of noise.

He rolls his eyes at you and comes to stand in front of you, keeping you behind him. "Are you serious? As Steve said, I've survived worse than this." While you were flattered by his protectiveness you weren't fragile or anything and you hated being treated like you were. "I know. Just rather have you mad at me than you dying because of your stubbornness." He gives you a look and treads forward.

"What the fuck?"

The least you expect is seeing Billy fucking Hargrove standing behind the bush, leaning on a tree that isn't circled by vines. "Hello to you, too, (y/l/n)." He smirks. Several wounds covered his chest and arms, the blood either dried and so dark red it nearly looks black, as well as some fresh ones that look eerily similar to the bite wounds on your side.

"There's no way- I watched you die!" Eddie looks between you two, having no idea what's going on. "Let me in? When did you watch him die? Are you even sure about that?" He asks and raises a hand to point at Billy. "He doesn't seem dead to me." You could strangle him right now. "Eddie," you warn and glare at him before marching over to the older boy with the mullet.

"You!" billy looks confused but amused and waits for you to continue, crossing his - surprisingly muscular - arms over his chest. "Me?"

"Why are you here? How in the world are you alive right now? Max completely lost her shit when you died, there's no way you're here right now." You argue and he stiffens at the mention of his sister. "How's she?" He asks and you laugh humorlessly. "How is she? How can you ask that? She's been blaming herself ever since it happened. She has nightmares and doesn't think there is a day she doesn't say that it should've been her that got killed!" Your anger rises as you poke his chest with your index finger. He stumbles back a step before regaining himself and sending you a dark glare.

"Are you seriously blaming me when it was also your ass I saved that day?" He starts getting aggressive and Eddie gets nervous as the argument gets more heated. "No one asked you to do what you did that day! And don't think it makes you a hero all of a sudden!" It's out before you know it and you're very aware of how much of a low blow that was.

What he did that day does make him a hero and while he was a massive asshole the good definitely outweighed the bad in this case. You step back and lower your head out of shame. "Shit, I'm sorry that was out of pocket." your voice is low and you don't dare look up. "So you got some fire in you, huh? Always took you for the most stuck up person in all of Hawkins." He chuckles and you stagger. What?

"Why would you think that?" genuine curiosity and slight anger is evident in your voice but before he can answer the voices of the rest come closer. "Am I dreaming or is that you Hargrove?" Billy asks and smirks again.

"Yeah, it's me, don't cream your pants." Steve answers in a cool voice, hands on his hips in his typical mom-position he'd started doing when he became the unofficial babysitter for the kids. Billy laughs and leans back against the tree he'd parted from when your argument with him started.

"Wait, how the fuck are you here right now?" Robin asks with wonder in her voice. "Uh, well, there were two me's kinda? Like one was in the Upside Down and one was in your dimension. Since it was still me I could take over every once in a while but yeah." Billy explains without much bravado and stays standing as you're left gaping at him. All the grief for nothing, wow.

"I don't really care right now, you coming with us or not?" Nancy asks hurriedly. "Sure I'll come with you. Need someone to protect you after all, am I right?" He cockily grins and gets ready to leave. Nancy rolls her eyes and trots back in the house while explaining what they found. "All the places where the lamps are, is some type of glowing, gold dust. We're guessing it symbolizes the lamps. If we touch it, the lamps in their dimension should start flickering, meaning we can communicate with the others."

She leads you into the living room where over the table is some of that dust floating around. You reach out to touch it, an amazed smile on your lips as the ticklish feeling washes over you. "This is so cool..." Billy looks in your direction, fond look in his eyes.

While he's never really gotten along with you, he had always admired your bravery. You were never afraid of him, instead turning him down or straight up ignoring him every time. So seeing you with another dude who was having his hands all over you struck a nerve of his and he snapped at you.

He comes up behind you and places a hand on your waist, pretending not to care about the feeling of your skin, which was barely warm anymore, on his.

You scowl a little but nevertheless find yourself enjoying the feeling. Why did he have to be so fucking charming?

"We made a plan; we'll find something to communicate with them and then get out of here."

Talking through lights worked better than you thought and you could cry from relief when you heard Dustin and Lucas laugh from happiness.

You were trekking to Eddie's trailer because the others had found out that there's a gate you could pass through. When the adrenaline had worn off your exhaustion came back and you barely took note of what was happening around you anymore.

Your side was aching, everything was sticky with drying, cold blood and the headache was increasing. Great circumstances to climb a fucking rope through a weird dimension crossover.

You watch Eddie go first, then Robin and Nancy. You're left with Steve and Billy, barely registering their bickering by now. "No, you know what, y/n you'll go first." Steve calls with a loud voice and you wince at the pounding pain it causes in your head. You manage a weak nod and get closer to the rope.

Looking up your vision goes black and you panic. No, no, no, not now! You gasp and hear panicked shouts before falling over and painfully landing on your back.

"Fuck," Steve chants and tries waking you back up. The others are panicking now too and Billy tries finding something to get you through the portal with. "Alright, Harrington, we gotta get her out of here, now." Steve nods and for once they agree with each other. He informs the others and hoists your body up on the couch in the room, one of the only things that aren't overcome by the poisonou, and possibly lethal, vines.

Billy gets one of the chairs and positions it under the portal. "Alright. Eddie? We'll lift her up and you gotta catch her, yeah?" Billy sternly explains and steps up the chair. "Come here and take her carefully." Steve nods and picks you back up, making sure your head is placed on his shoulder.

He takes you by your knees while Billy maneuvers you through the portal, your hair hanging in the different direction as soon as you're through the slimy gate. Billy holds onto you, your body basically floating now. "Got her! Let go of her slowly!" Eddie shouts and grunts as he welcomes you in his arms.

Robin panics in the back and Dustin tries finding someone with a car to get you to the hospital. Billy and Steve follow suit through the portal.

"We don't have a car, we gotta walk." Lucas explains and throws your form a worried glance. "I'll take her." Billy says and walks over to you. "No." Nancy warns him. "You've been stuck there for over 6 months, doubt you have the strength to carry her right now." She decides. "Also, there's someone you should greet first before doing anything else." She throws Billy a stern glance before helping Steve secure you on his back.

"Max?" He wonders and looks around before watching the door open. A familiar redhead stands in front of the door and talks with Dustin, probably discussing the situation.

"Max..." he mumbles again, though she hears him this time. Her brows pulll together and she turns, a gasp tearing from her throat when she recognizes him. "Billy?" She asks in disbelief before stepping towards him.

Dustin watches the two reunite and decides to leave them to it, calling for Steve. "What happened there?" His older friend sighs, "Long story, dude."

Arriving at the hospital feels surreal. A nurse notices them and doctors start crowding them, getting them all to different rooms for examinations.

Billy gets taken to one too, trying to argue to get one with Max. He hadn't seen her in so long, god 6 fucking months, and now they're already parting them again. He huffs angrily and sits down on the stretcher waiting for a doctor.

When they're all checked out and gathered in the foyer Steve speaks up. "We gotta get some food, especially for Hargrove over there." He nods towards the boy's direction, who flips him the bird, and focuses back on the kids. "You wait here. Dustin, you've got another walkie-talkie?" Said boy nods and digs around his backpack before fishing one out and turning it into the right channel. "We'll notify you when we get some news about y/n." Steve and Nancy nod before getting up and making their way to one of the cars that Nancy and Robin got while the others were still with the doctors.

Everyone was eating when a doctor came to them and asked for family of you. "We're family." Nancy says and the lady looks at the group with a suspicious look, fixing it on Lucas who puts on an innocent smile. "Extended." He nods and the doctor scoffs before motioning them to follow her.

"One at a time. She lost a lot of blood and the wounds on her side had to be stitched. She'll have to wear bandages around it for at least two weeks. Is there someone that will do it? We don't think she'll be in the shape to do it any time soon." Max is the first one to nod, knowing how to patch people up very well due to her being a skater and all that.

"Alright. Here's some of the stuff she'll need." She fixes a look on the other teens, "One at a time."

Dustin rolls his eyes and sits down on one of the seats in the hallway, the others expect from Billy and Steve doing the same. When the nurse leaves, Steve turns to open the door. "Woah, what are you doing?" Billy asks and pulls him back. "Uh, visiting my best friend, want the fuck are you doing?" Billy halts in his movements, knowing well that he couldn't admit to the small crush he harbors for you. Rolling his eyes he sits down next to Robin and scoffs again.

"Dude, your crush on her is like super obvious." The girl next to him raises an eyebrow and throws him a disapproving glare. "Excuse me but who even are you?" He asks and turns back to where he can see Steve standing through the small glass window in the door.

"I work at scoops ahoy with Steve. I'm Robin." She introduced herself and recognition flooded Billy. She'd been there too, that day at Starcourt.

It's weird and disorienting, waking up in a hospital room with an IV in your arm and the unpleasant lights burning in your eyes. "Finally woke up?" Steve greets and pushes some hair behind your ear. "Finally?" You ask and look around. You sparsely remember what happened: you fainted and you were in the Upside Down. Oh, also Billy was alive?

"Took you some time." Steve explains and gestures to the clock. "We got here around 4 AM, it's 10 now."

You grimace and turn towards the door. "Please tell me the others went home and rested." Steve stays silent and you sigh disapprovingly. "Steve," you warn and he exhales. "What did you expect? Max has been worried sick and Billy is super on edge. What does he even have to do with you?" He asks, more rhetorical than anything. "Tutored Max so he probably knows 'bout me. Dunno why he cares, though. Confuses me too."

Steve hums and stands up. "Alright, I'll let Max in. She hasn't slept a wink since you were admitted. A smile creeps on your face and you throw him a small wave, "See you later." He reciprocates and leaves, Max basically storming through the door with Lucas and Dustin in tow. "You're awake!" She cheers and you smile at all of them, sitting up in the uncomfortable bed.

"Yep. And you are too. Shouldn't you be home by now?" They look guilty for a second before Dustin speaks up. "Practically, yes. But this is an exception!" You snort and nod. "Good to know."

When they leave Billy comes in, some bandaids over his arms and one on his forehead. "Morning, sleepyhead." his infamous grin takes place on his face and he sits on the edge of your bed. "Morning to you too." You greet and wait for the awkward tension to evaporate. "You scared me quite a bit when you fainted back there, you know? Not to mention that Munson dude. He's been freaking out over you." Billy scoffs and takes your hand, throwing you a genuinely concerned glance.

"How're you feeling?" You start blushing and swallow. Him worrying about you? Unexpected but a 100% welcomed for sure. "You know. How you'd feel after traveling through dimensions and being attacked by a bunch of weird rabid bats." He breathes a laugh and looks at your hand in his, his significantly bigger.

"The time in... there gave me some space to think." He starts and directs his gaze to yours. You wait for him to continue, anticipation building.

"I like you, I'm certain about that. It's, uh, hard to put into words but it's different from other girls and how I feel about them." the blush on your face darkens and you nod again. "This is embarrassing, Gosh." He laughs and turns his head away. You reach up a hand and take his face in it. "Come here you idiot."

Tugging him down you place a kiss on his lips. When you part he keeps his forehead on yours, staring into your eyes. "I'll protect you from now on. Gotta be sure you don't go missing in another world," you can't believe he's joking about that right now, this man.

"You're so weird." He shrugs and leans back again. "You gotta deal with it from now on. After all, I'm your boyfriend, aren't I?" You like the sound of that and nod, tightening the grip on his hand a little.

hello! i really love how your art looks so lively and detailed! do you have any advice on drawing faster? i know i should just take my time but i sometimes tend to focus on redrawing lines or adding unnecessary details that my art ends up stiff and that i spent too much time overworking it. i'm afraid that setting time limits would make it rushed but also just drawing with the flow kinda makes me lost. sorry for the very amateur question and thank you!!

The left one is the one I drew with short strokes that took more time and the right one is the one I drew with one long stroke that's faster to make

I'm not gonna call the left one the wrong way to draw because you should be comfortable with whatever stroke style you like, but if you're aiming for the one that's faster to draw you have to condition yourself to accept the "messier" lineart. It's ok if there are some parts of the lines that aren't connected (I marked them with the red arrows), it's ok if there are some parts of the lines that look a bit wonky, it's ok if there are some parts of the lines that are overlapped and thick while the other lines are fine and light. As long as people can tell what you're drawing it should be enough for you.

If you have extra time after you're done with the loose sketch, you can add more details and polish the lineart, connecting the lines that aren't connected, adding more lineweight, etc.

The practical way to achieve looser linework is by moving your arm with your elbow as the fulcrum when drawing instead of moving your wrist or your fingers. Doing the latter, not only makes the lineart look stiffer, but it's also bad for your wrist and gives you a higher chance to develop carpal tunnel syndrome.

Ok so this is from 2015. I was in middle school and this was my first creative scene that wasn’t a character standing looking straight at the fourth wall.

Next is 2016, with a significant improvement already. While I never drew seriously wanting to improve my style before the first drawing, I spent a year developing how I drew and this was the result of that. Do they all have the same face? Yes. Is it impossible to tell at a glance which character is which? Definitely. Still better than the first one tho

Now we’re onto 2017. I did this in one night for inktober. Some of the proportions are a little wonky, and I knew that at the time, but I kinda rushed to get it done. Though, my Facebook friends thought it was pretty cool.

Up next is 2018, the first digital piece. I did this on my phone with my finger. Also, the characters finally have different fur patterns! Even if three are solid color cats, it’s more detail than before.

Now here’s 2019. I upgraded once again to a drawing tablet and Paint Tool Sai. Nowadays it’s not my preferred software, but it was a really nice one to start off with. I also played around with lighting, trying to make sure that the light source was consistent with the background and to make the shading more than an airbrushed black.

2020 had a dramatic change! Still on Paint Tool Sai, you can tell that I am more comfortable with drawing on the computer. My favorite bits have always been the cat in the foreground and the angry spiky one

I went in a more stylized direction in 2021. Though the background is a little strange, you can really tell I was trying, especially compared to the empty plane of green from the last year.

And again, here is this 2023’s version! This took me like 8 hours of solid drawing. I also only used the lasso for all the coloring and shading. I’ve been a big fan of cell shading recently, I will admit.

more spoiler talk under the cut

okay i've been marinating with my thoughts for a bit but i have to let them out. i've been keeping up with jjk since 2021. i watched the anime and then immediately started reading and caught up with the manga in like 2 days. back then, the shibuya incident had just wrapped up. i was keeping up weekly, and i think by the time the part with maki slaughtering the zenin clan came around was when i started to think like "damn... the pacing is kinda wonky here". i think around that time is also when gege stated he wanted to end the manga in like 2 years... now we all know that didn't come true but it's clear that we're relatively close to the end. and saying it back then, that meant gege believed the end was in sight... i had a feeling from then it was gonna be rushed lol. i kinda fell off reading jjk bc i was getting bored of waiting for weekly releases, and it wasnt til last year when gojo vs sukuna was happening (while season 2 was coming out) that i picked up the manga again. the fight was pretty exciting, especially with all the memes, but i remember thinking that it was all so... drawn out for no reason because we all knew exactly how the fight was gonna end. and i was right lol. personally, i don't hate the fact that gojo died. i was sad of course, but my main issue with it has always been that i feel it wasn't handled well and ultimately, i don't think it is the perfect way to wrap up his character arc. i find it pretty bleak, actually, especially in a story that (stated within the text itself) is supposed to be about hope, love, and powering through the pain.

i fully believe that one month time-skip between gojo's unsealing and the showdown was a terrible decision. it was a miss opportunity for gege to make us care more about his bond with the other students. though honestly, this isn't so shocking considering how much the series lacks moments between characters in general, but really... with a month, there was no reason at all to NOT show us this other than gege just wanting to get on with the fight and get gojo out of the story. aside from that weird timeskip i honestly believe gojo was acting weirdly out of character and stupidly from the moment he came back. why not just kill sukuna and kenjaku the moment he was unsealed rather than letting sukuna prepare? especially when knowing the world is at risk lol?? we could argue that maybe he doesn't want to hurt megumi, but in the fight he had no qualms about launching buffed hollow purples at him sooo... idk, i know it's to push the plot forward, but it's such a dumb decision from a character that's supposed to be smart that it's a bit difficult to overlook. then there's his non-reaction to nanami and no mention of nobara... i get that people in his world die all the time, but really? he really said "damn that's crazy" about nanami and didn't even acknowledge nobara. ON TOP OF THAT is how he's just suddenly cool with gakuganji even though we know gakuganji is one of the conservative old fools? the same guy that killed yaga? and he's chill about it?

i mention all this to hammer this idea that already, gojo's acting ooc. i personally felt like his death chapter at the airport was a major punch in the face, not because i was sad about his character dying, but because of how it was handled and how he was characterized. apparently all he cared about was being strong and fighting? i'm sorry, literally everything else in the manga prior to his unsealing indicated that gojo actually cared about other people lol. it just... felt like such a cheap justification for why his and sukuna's fight had to happen. granted, i did enjoy that fight and do enjoy their dynamic, but that fight itself is honestly probably the last real high point of the manga.. and even then i have some gripes with the execution lol

in this chapter, and from the beginning, really, we're also hammered in this point that gojo wanted to foster the youth to become stronger than him. he could not beat sukuna alone, but gojo believes that the combined strength of his students can take sukuna down. it wasn't just a battle of the strongest, but a battle of ideologies going on here.

and THAT is why i really, truly hate the developments of the most recent chapter. so, gojo's students and the other sorcerers have thrown everything they possibly can at sukuna, and it's still not enough? so they... bring back gojo? only, it's not actually gojo, it's one of his students using kenjaku's technique to take over his body to use his technique. i ask, then, what the FUCK was the point of writing gojo out of the story if gege's just going to bring him back in this unconventional way. not only does it just reintroduce this issue had in the first place of gege having an overpowered character he didn't know how to write around, but now they're basically like... yeah actually we do need gojo's power to finish this. like... that's not the students being stronger, that's just gojo again basically. and the editor even acknowledges this by referring to this as a revenge match!! and i really want to reiterate that i did NOT want gojo to come back. the damage has been done and i don't believe bringing him back would have fixed the damage gege did to his character. i wanted it to be a hallucination to signal sukuna is close to losing, and that his life has been so lonely and meaningless that when on death's door, he sees gojo. that would've been interesting and compelling!! but noooooo gege just has to pull some contrived, bullshit plot twist because that's what he loves to do

i have other gripes (treatment of female characters, pacing like i mentioned, tsumiki's non-existence as a character, poor character development of major characters overall, the over-use of character death to the point that it's become boringly predictable, poor world-building), but this is long enough and i think you get the idea that i have a lot of shit to talk abt this series.

anyway, my increasing dissatisfaction with jjk has negatively impacted my muse tbh, and that's honestly why my activity has been so sparse. i'm losing interest because something that used to bring me a lot of joy is honestly just making me frustrated more than anything else, and i think it's really sad because i do really love the characters, and at one point i did love the series. aw well. i still cling onto a tiny hope that gege is cooking for a great payoff, but idk...

PH ~Complaints~

This is the first of several pieces I will be making about this series. Reading Pandora hearts was an experience to say the least and I wanted to organize my thoughts into separate categories, because it’s too much to post out normally. Also I’m insane and I think it’ll be fun for me at least. These posts will contain spoilers but maybe it’ll spark people’s love for the series. Maybe it’ll get people to buy the manga volumes. Maybe the stars will align and it manifests an anime reboot (delusional).

With that out of the way, we will start with my complaints and nitpicks of the series. Which isn't a lot but there will be explaining to do here. As a disclaimer, these are things that I found worth mentioning and may not be any issues you had reading. I am going off my initial reading of ph too so if I miss anything, don’t come at me lol.

-> The most notable complaint I need to talk about first is early ph. But I bring it up because this is the main thing that can turn people away from the series. “The early chapters are slow” is a complaint I heard before starting ph. Upon looking back, it wasn’t necessarily slow for me and I enjoyed those parts. But when reading, it was chaotic and felt like nothing was moving. It felt like we were rushing to nowhere. I took several breaks because it was so overwhelming. And I wasn’t reading them physically but off of sites, I know a lot of you remember Bezarius, Liam, Shalon lol. The wonky translations in the early chapters aren’t mochijun’s fault of course, but it didn’t help matters for me.

So much information was jam-packed with an already intricate story. And granted, later on in the 50s-60s chaps, the world makes more sense. But when you haven’t gotten to that point, it’s a lot to take in. You can compare early parts of ph and vnc to see exactly what I mean. VnC’s introductory chapters are much more polished. And some stories work better that way but in ph’s case for me, the direction wasn’t clear. I mean you know the objective, finding Alice’s memories but after that it was just a bunch of “huh???” It wasn't until we met Elliot and Leo, eventually Rufus that everything became more coherent. And you can argue, “yeah you’re supposed to be confused” which is valid but it was a bit messy for me, and I know it's inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

But not only was it confusing and can be perceived as slow (though again not for me), these chapters are long. Certainly not a complaint, I loved having long chapters. But if you’re confused af, you feel as though the plot isn’t moving, and you have these long chapters to add. I see why people may drop the series because “it’s too convoluted and the author doesn’t know what they’re trying to say.” I don’t agree with that but I understand if they weren’t able to go past chapter 35 or something. But we all must remember this was mochijun's first real series. So I understand as well why its beginnings aren't that grounded and can forgive that.

->The second complaint is that there wasn't enough characterization of the Baskervilles squad (as in Lottie and her gang I'm excluding Zwei here) as individuals. What do I mean by this? You can say “well they weren’t that important” which I kinda disagree with because they were the antagonists we were worrying about for half of the story as they searched for their leader Glen.

We got depth given to them as a group, we see that there is a genuine, familial bond. I wanted to know their past or backstories and the most we got from was Lily. You can say we got Lottie too but I don't know I was left wanting more. We know Doug and Fang got Lily’s tattoo in solidarity which is my favorite moment from the squad. But who are they y’know? Fang had such a cool design, how did he join the Baskervilles? Doug is a nothing character. I haven’t read the light novels so these questions could be answered there but having read the manga, we should’ve gotten more.

-> Going from that, the whole Glen thing. Again, might be explained more in the light novels but from manga content, I wish we got more explanations and lore. Who was the first Glen? Who is Levi? He’s someone who we deserved more insight into and what made him so detached.

-> I wish we had more chain on chain fights. I read somewhere that mochijun had struggles mapping out action scenes so they were kept to a minimum. But I think due to that, we don't get to see the true extent of these chains' powers. And yes, Break's condition prevented him from using his chain much. But Break and Vincent's dynamic was great, a final showdown between them with their chains would've been so cool. Mad Hatter vs. Demios we were robbed...

-> Isla Yura in general. Not gonna lie, I forgot he existed. I can respect the role he played, especially knowing now mochijun based Dr. Moreau off him. He was a worthy threat and his obsession with Jack makes sense. But his personality just wasn’t it and rubbed me the wrong way. Stereotypical queer antagonist from the 2000s, we did not need this.

->This might be a biased one but Cheshire should've been a prominent character. We see he’s important to Alice but we got a whole mini-arc with him in the beginning, him appearing in the Break backstory and then he's gone until the final 8 chapters. I also wish he behaved like the cat he’s inspired by. Sassy, mischievous with a dash of dark humor. (though now I say that, Oz does have some of that). There was just so much potential that we simply didn’t explore with him.

-> Speaking of such, Sharon and Ada were so underused. I was expected more from Sharon’s arc and her Eques chain is so cool but that didn’t happen. Every moment with Ada was fantastic but she’s mostly put to the side which sucks. Her relationship with Oz was lacking for me, he comes back from the Abyss and we do not see him think of Ada until 15 chapters later? Her overall reactions to Oz dying essentially after the finale, learning her father’s death, none of this is there. These two had potential, Sharon even being part of the main five, that wasn’t delved into.

-> Vincent and Ada. Okay, lemme break it down. I kinda love them, they didn’t get together which was sad but was the best choice to make. But I do question why this relationship exists. To be honest, until the last 14 chapters I thought she dropped them completely. I was wondering what was the point of making them a whole thing and having read to the end, I still kind of think that. We got two or three main interactions with them and then we just never got back to Vince/Ada until the finale. It was as though the plot simply couldn’t make time for them, it was tightly knit at this point and everything was heading for utter insanity. But then, we get the emotional climax of Vincent’s character. We get Ada telling Vincent “I forgive you”. It hits hard because Vince is a top 5 character for me. But in terms of their relationship, it didn’t feel earned. I don’t think it was developed enough to get such a heavy moment like this.

Their last encounter from what I remember was in the headhunter arc, Ada telling Vince she’ll always be by his side. And while we see he cares about her safety then, I don’t think that means what they have is strong enough to break the self-hatred Vincent has built up for years. Why did it have to be Ada? I know Gil wasn’t getting through to him but if he told Gil what’d he had done. That he indirectly caused the tragedy of Sablier, and Gil really said fuck it, held him down and screamed “I forgive you! The outcome might’ve been the same. Vincent respected Elliot. Vincent looked up to Jack. Vincent grew to care about Ada. But to me, the only person he loved in this world was Gil. And in his last moments, that is all he had. So this whole Vince/Ada thing, while I enjoy them and definitely needed more, at the end I doubt how necessary it was for either of their characters.

->At last, the ending. I love the ending, let’s get that out of the way. Two things I need to say though. One, it did conclude faster than it should’ve. It’s not to a degree where it significantly brings it down but we could have used 5, 6 more chapters. Chapter 104 should’ve been cut in half, 104 ends with “see you later Gilbert” and 105 is total epilogue. That way, the events of 104 get to sink in with the reader. Second, and I know you saw this coming, Reim marrying Sharon. This is the one thing I see most fans have an issue with for the ending and I completely agree, this did not make any sense. It felt like the biggest last minute decision. I think mochijun and the magazine had reached the end of their rope because no one got together in the end. Oz and Alice didn’t become canon really, Gil is too gay, Elliot’s dead so we couldn’t even get elleo implied canon.

(Though you can make a whole other thread arguing how their entire relationship already was from how intimate they were) We all knew Rufus wasn’t gonna marry Sheryl, Vince and Ada went their separate ways. So it was just “alright, um….someone’s gotta get with someone.” And from what I know, there’s no artwork or moment in the series that hints in the slightest that this would happen. We never get a teasing moment from Break about them, Reim and Sharon are friends but the main connection between them is Break. I don't buy the whole "Break's death affecting Sharon deeply and she found comfort in Reim who shared her pain" because you don't have to marry someone who understands your grief. They can just be there for you as a friend. And there was no signs of romantic attraction AT ALL.

Which makes me doubt mochijun planned or even wanted to do this. Her hands might’ve been tied by higher-ups and she had no choice but to include this to deliver the finale she had in mind. This is pure speculation so I could be wrong but with that, this essay I guess, wraps up. There’s other stuff I may not have mentioned, like the jury thing is so absurd but I want to reserve that for my mochiverse theory. When it's all said and done, Pandora hearts is still an amazing series, mochijun has definitely improved as an author. Now after letting it sit for awhile here some thoughts on Wednesday: I do like the Wednesday series, but I only see it as a parallel universe kinda thing.🤔 And I‘ll be talking Addams family centered (because this is my main interest point in watching it), so I am not talking about the new characters.

I grew up with the Barry Sonnenfeld Addams family version so that’s my „main universe“. I saw the original series far later. And now recently the animated movies and Wednesday series. They all have the main core theme, but overall a different vibe. So for me to enjoy them I have to separate them. Though I gotta say that the modern content in recent years misses a few points. I can’t lay my finger on it exactly, but it feels off a bit. It feels like it tries to be obviously over the edge to show „we‘re the Addams, we‘re so wonky right?? And you like that extreme. Right guys??“.

Which isn’t necessary. It’s why they gained so many fans in the first place, because they‘re so non-chalant about it and gave a natural feel about it.

Also one of the bigger things that itch me is the portrayal of Morticia in Wednesday and the over-the-top, unnecessary mother-daughter quarrel between Morticia and Wednesday. Morticia is portrayed in a more snobbish and arrogant way which makes her more distant already. Her troubled relationship with Wednesday feels like it came outta nowhere and never really gets explained why and in one episode, in a certain moment, it just goes poof. That was the annoying point I had in this series. Because here it seemed the creators just desperately wanted to underline the teenage series topic again by making her go through „i don’t like my parents/my parents are embarrassing“ phase and by changing Morticia a bit in their favor to support that. We never had that or this strongly in any other Addams content, so it threw me for a loop. I do hope there won’t be a repeat of overtly annoying normative teenager stuff, but it is netflix, so we‘ll see.

The Addams general storyline didn’t feel fleshed out, more like rushed. Another point was Morticia‘s relationship with Weems. We never get to know what happened here. And we can’t get a lot of indications because Morticia in general doesn’t see or consider other characters a lot. The relationship between the Addams in general feels?? fleeting (except MorticiaxGomez of course)? I can‘t pinpoint it, but what I love so much about the Addams is that they are a team in so many ways with a strong bond and this series can‘t or won’t make use of that main trait, because…yea well „netflix focusing on teenagers getting cray cray“. I heard a lot of people giving the actors the fault, like catherine zeeta jones, but actually give her smth to work with in the first place.

So yea, Wednesday had a lot of good stuff. I.e. I do love that we got more Thing content with this series. Or seeing more of Wednesday‘s talent for various stuff and her being passionate about them. And the case not being too obvious to keep the suspense. Though I wish for less teenage drama next time to keep character authenticity and less edginess made to be „cooler“ for younger audiences. An enjoyable Addams themed series, but as I said viewed as a separate universe.
