Ship headcanons Legolas x OFC/YN/reader

I saw this ship meme thing and wanted to do it with Legolas x Elin, my human OFC, but I kinda like it with any combo.

Gives nose/forehead kisses: Legolas

Gets jealous the most: Legolas, and he thinks he hides it better than he does

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: Legolas again, basically cos he almost never gets drunk

Takes care of on sick days: both would do, but Legolas never gets sick so...

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: Elin

Gives unprompted massages: Legolas

Drives/rides shotgun: Legolas rides the horse, Elin goes behind (unless she's riding herself, which she likes to do occasionally)

Brings the other lunch at work: Elin

Has the better parental relationship: Elin. We all know Thranduil isn't the best role model around lol

Tries to start role-playing in bed: Elin, much to Legolas' shock and subsequent delight

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: Elin of course

Still cries watching Titanic doesn't really apply lol

Firmly believes in couples costumes: Elin tries to dress him up for Halloween, it doesn't go well but they have a lot of fun

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: both, they're the worst

Makes the other eat breakfast: both to each other really

Remembers anniversaries: Legolas

Brings up having kids: no one

i freaking love the lotr movies because you see a plethora of photos that look like they'd be those "lotr actor au" type things except IT'S NOT AN AU. THEY LITERALLY HAVE THE SWEETEST AND MOST TENDER THINGS CAPTURED ON CAMERA.

THOSE MOVIES WERE FILMED AND FORGED STRONG BONDS BETWEEN THE ACTORS AND CREW AND HORSES ON SET.

AND WE CAN SEE THE CAST BEING SILLY AND GOOFY IN AND OUT OF COSTUME

and yeah anyways i think about that a lot whenever i feel sad because then i get a lil serotonin boost from the bts-of-lotr photos

hmmm something something terribly run cafe/bar where the hobbits get summer jobs. aragorn is the bartender who quicky learns not to let pippin anywhere near the cocktail shakers. merry and frodo get drafted into the bitter (not really) rivalry between the gimli the line cook and legolas the head waiter. sam shocks all his friends by quietly becoming the mvp baker and getting a full time job at the end of the summer. the owner is this really weird old guy who shows up once a fortnight with other old duds with beards. merry and pippin are convinced they smoke weed in the bathroom, but it's fine because he throws THE BEST staff party

I’m at this sort of impasse in my headcanons for Legolas’ family where I like the idea that his mother was a silvan elf (who died during the Last Alliance) and he has two older sibling (usually specifically a brother and a sister) but I also have been really getting into Finrod as Legolas’ other parent. But I feel like that works best with only child lego. Guh. The world is full of possibilities…

So far I’ve only finished the first two books of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Today I watched the extended version of the first… Y’all, the movie is better than the book. Don’t kill me… it’s true. There are some things I miss from the book, but nothing prepared me for how much I better understood Boromir and appreciated him in the story than the film did. 😭😭😭

So far I've been looking for a couple of weeks, but still haven't found the fanfiction I've been looking for! It's a legolasxOFC (I know what you're thinking - don't judge what I like XD) that I'm pretty sure is exclusively on fanfic.net where Legolas has the spirit of Telperion and the OC has the spirit of Laurelin. I can't remember much about how it starts but I know in the end they think that the Battle of the Black Gate has been lost and Leoglas has to use some potion that Galadriel (or Gandalf) gave him to kill them both so Sauron wouldn't get the light of the Two Trees. At first I thought it might be A Bard's Tale (amazing read) but I was sadly wrong. In the beginning, I don't think the OC could fight much but towards the end, there's a scene where she and Legolas are sparring and he tells her she HAS to win bc there were a bunch of misogynistic assholes. There was also a bet on the fight (if that makes any difference).
