There is either an increasing general obsession with Felix or like a few dedicated felix stans who continue to publicly study him under a microscope. either way I’m seeing a lot of felix lol

I hope you don’t mind but I changed it slightly to make it just a little more SFW as this request is right on the edge of what I’m comfortable writing. Also, the poem is selected lines of a sonnet I wrote a couple years back, bc that was a thing I used to do often. As such, it’s not very professional, so sorry if the poetry isn’t the best. Thank you! :D

It had been a while since you’d gotten to relax with your boyfriend. I mean, he was awfully busy. You supposed that was a fair price to pay for someone as sweet and good as Silver.

But in the rare moments - in between his and your studies, random bouts of sleepiness and monitoring Malleus’ wellbeing, miraculously, you were able to make things work. You never seemed to have the time for any big, romantic dates. It was a rare occasion indeed where you had dinner at the Mostro Lounge, watched a movie at the cinema or went shopping together.

That didn’t stop either of you from having dinner at Ramshackle, watching movies at home or going on errands to Sam’s together. Your “dates” were often smaller, and even more sweet than anything else you could imagine doing.

Like right now, for example.

Currently, you and Silver were sitting close to each other on a couch. A blanket was draped gently over the two of you as you sat holding a book of poetry. The two of you took turns searching through it, before you each found one you’d like (whether it be funny, romantic or emotional) and read it aloud to each other.

Silver had been getting sleepy for a while now, although he was a little too stubborn to admit it. Or maybe he just wanted to spend more time chatting and reading with you.

That thought gave you butterflies.

Concentrating on the book, you flicked through, scanning the contents for any poems that stood out to you - ones you hadn’t read yet. Your eyes settled on one, a soft smile settling on your lips as you skimmed the contents.

Yes, this one seemed appropriate.

“Have you found one?” Silver piped up sleepily beside you. He’d started leaning on you gently, resting his head on your shoulder as his eyelids grew heavy.

“Yep, you ready?”

“Always.”

You smiled softly as you read aloud.

“I can still remember the day we met,

You held my hand and asked me what was wrong.

I don’t remember why I was upset,

But I remember your smile as you sung:”

You paused for a moment, skimming the lyrics and guessing how the melody is supposed to go. Softly, you sung the next verse of the poem.

“No matter what has happened dear sweetheart,

I am always here for you, it’s okay,

Like flowers, whose petals must come apart

So they can bloom, you will find your own way.”

Silver shifted next to you. His breathing was changing by the moment, his sleepiness finally starting to win the battle against his will to stay awake - to stay with you.

He was always here for you, much like the friend in the poem. The thought made you smile. You wondered if Silver could sing? That would definitely be something to ask him when he woke up. Maybe he could sing the poem to you next time.

You continued through the poem, reading through the last verse.

“Fast forward a few years, we were best friends,

“Best friends”… oh yes, and maybe something more.

We were “best friends”, with seemingly no end,

Until the day you knocked upon the door.”

Your mind wandered back to the day Silver had confessed. It was simple, but very sweet. He had come to visit you at Ramshackle. It was the only time you could remember seeing Silver nervous.

You brought your mind back to the last couplet of the poem as Silver continued to fight a losing battle against his sleepiness.

“You told me you’d find me, gave me this ring,

And every day since, I have spent hoping.”

You felt Silver squeeze your hand and glanced over at him just in time to see his eyes flutter closed.

Sleep had won.

You gently set the book aside and adjusted Silver into a more comfortable position against you, moving the blanket draped over you both to cover him more fully. You gently leaned against him and shut your eyes. One hand held Silver’s, your other floating up to your neck, where a promise ring hung from a chain.

Maybe your love was like poetry in more ways than you’d thought.

There weren't many things that brought much joy to the old brute anymore. Paulie carried a lot of baggage and sorrow on his shoulders that continuously weighed down on him. He hated every aspect of his life, his job, and his crappy apartment. He so desperately wanted an escape. Anything that could possibly take him away from all his misery...the bottles of booze and endless gambling no longer sufficed. Something had to give and soon.

As if his long-awaited prayers were finally answered, you so miraculously entered in his life. it was something out of some kind of romance movie. really. It all happened when you were moving into your new apartment building. Trying your utter best to get up the rather inaccessible steps with your walking assistant when you unfortunately misstepped, causing yourself to become unstable and fall backwards. you braced for the impact of the cold, disgusting concrete ground but was surprisingly swept up by large arms.

"You okay there, missy?"

His amused voice asked while helping you get back onto your feet. You took a second to regain composure before looking up at him. shinning an aloof yet cute smile at him, you thanked him for saving you from your certain demise. A short but friendly conversation took place where he welcomed you to the building...offering his assistance whenever you needed it. Thanking him and exchanging names, you went about your way, not thinking much of the interaction.

For Paulie on the other hand..it was all he thought about. Oh how cute your smile was or sweet how your voice and manner were. But what he couldn't shake was how perfect your meeting was. It had to be fate..no? If he hadn't walked in at the time he did, you would've been severely injured. everything about that meeting consumed him and he was so eager to see you again..

From that day forward obsessed. You'll find that he was just always there,, I mean you lived in the same building but he was somehow always in the hallway when you'd come out of your apartment or at the same places you were. He's so friendly and energetic too, you gave him a new sense of life.

You didn't mind it much though, Paulie had a heart of gold and you became quite good friends. He never judged you for your leg issues and was far more helpful than anyone you ever met. He'd bring you food and items you needed during your flare-ups and you returned the favor when he worked late. You could speak to him about literally everything, he was funny and quite charming. You loved being around him and so did he..just in a different way...

His "innocent" questions are really just him poking to find out your interests, likes and dislikes so he can put them into use later. Especially the ones about your ideal man. He'll do anything to become your perfect mate. Any traits you expressed disinterest in him will change. He's already stopped smoking and gambling plus started to keep himself up more...just for you my dear. Any compliments he receives from you drive him wild and fuel his delusions more. He's convinced he is on the right path to be yours very soon. I like to think Paulie wouldn't be straight up about his feelings at all tho. He's had so many heartbreaks and rejections that he's far too scared of your response if he comes straight out about it. He doesn't want to scare you off or make things awkward so he plays it slow...

You, on the other hand, are oblivious to all of this. He's like the older coworker you've somehow become besties with..nothing more. You didn't think of him that way. Unbeknownst to you, you'd be making a horrible mistake because of this. The next time you saw him, you gushed over a guy you had met at the library. You went on and on about how he was perfect, handsome, and everything you dreamed about. You asked Paulie for advice on pursuing your newfound crush, only earning a cold and stoic "idk" from him before going into his apartment. you brushed it off as him just having a long and bad day from work but in reality...Paulie was heartbroken. Another woman he thought loved him back was actually just interested in someone hotter, younger, and better than him.

he tried his best to convince you out of being with him, that you should be careful of the men in this city. How did you know that he truly accepted you and wouldn't make fun of you? You should just stay safe with Paulie,,,trust him. He know best...please..this is eating him alive right now.

but that devastation quickly turned into anger when each day that passed, a new set of flowers and gifts were found at your door. it was like fate was rubbing it in his face that it was never truly meant to be. His obsession with you was far too deep to just be let go. He invested so much time, and Paulie knows you better than that little crush ever could. Sure, your admirer might've been more romantic but he knew what makes you cry and what makes you happy...even your deepest darkest secrets.. Paulie actually knew you and loved you. He could love you so good if you'd just let him.

"meet me at Tony's dinner tonight at 8. I have a surprise for you"

The clock read 8:15 and you guys had just been seated at your table. Paulie arrived shortly and drunkenly got out of the taxi. Though stumbling his way around the place, it surprisingly didn't take him long before finding your booth.

The two of you were at a table, exchanging flirtatious glances and banter when Paulie's body appeared, staring daggers into your lover. He hated how he looked at you, how happy each other appeared with each other. That should be him instead.

"...Paulie? what are you-"

In a jealousy-fueled rage, Paulie grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and began dragging him outside. Only muttering for you to 'stay put' while he handled things.

Of course, you didn't listen and followed them out of the building, shouting for your neighbor to stop and tell you exactly what was going on...Unfortunately, Paulie was far too gone and drunken to even register your presence. All he was deadset on was making your date pay for taking you away from him.

Taking your admirer to the back of the parking lot, he forcefully punched him down onto the rough gravel. a plea for mercy being cut short by the bottom of Paulie's shiny black shoes connecting with his face, slamming him further into the ground. Your body completely froze at the sight of what was happening. Suddenly everything clicked...the suit...the accent..the days he's come home smelling like gunpowder with bruised fists.. How could you be so freakin stupid? How could you be so naive to believe this man was just an "innocent" friend.,

Paulie continued beating your lover down until the amount of blood that pooled satisfied him. A sick pleasure overtook his body observing how ugly and limp he knew was. He hadn't any chance with you anymore, even if you still found him to be beautiful or perfect...he would be too scared to even come within ten feet of you.

A loud and sudden thud snapped Paulie out of his trance when he turned to find you. Your walking assistant had been left inside the restaurant and it was becoming increasingly difficult for you to stand any longer, so you dropped to the ground, falling back on your ass. The sight of you merely sobered him up. Burning guilt quickly overtook the pleasure. Your eyes were wide with tears trickling out of them, and you sat in a daze. Your body was still in shock and far too weak to move..

"no...no..no paulie, what did you do?" he regretfully spoke to himself, as he carefully made his way to you

You wanted to back away, scream, cry...anything but you just couldn't. You stayed as you were as he approached and sat down in front of you. One of his hands slowly came up to the side of your face, gently caressing it. Your body reactively began to tremble, terrified of him hurting you next..

"I'm so sorry-" his own eyes began to swell with tears. Paulie once again ruined something beyond repair.. He just couldn't;t do anything right. His addictions and temperament once again reminded him who's really king.

He threw his head down onto your lap, taking your hands in his and squeezing them tightly. His speech was a bit slurred and sloppy due to the alcohol still pumping through his system..

Johnny had never hidden anything from you, he was always an open book, someone that had nothing to hide and no secrets hidden from you. Which is probably what fuelled your insecurity and the harsh thoughts that we’re trying to convince you that Johnny was hiding something from you. He was home from deployment. 3 short months you had to spend with Johnny, time to you that felt like days in comparison to the time he was gone.

He had been distant before when he had seen something really traumatic, something that had taken him months to tell you, but this, this felt different, it felt sneaky. It had been happening once a week for three weeks, three days taken from you, something that adds up relatively quickly when you have as little time together as you already do.

He left this morning at 09:00am, he gave you a small kiss on the check and left with a “love you” something that your brain brain whirring into overdrive, he had always kissed you passionately, he hated being away from you, always muttered a dozen “I love you’s” before he finally departed from your prescience. You’d spent most of the day crying, curled up in bed moping at the obvious answer you’d refused to come to terms with, Johnny, your husband, the love of your life was cheating on you. There was no other rational explanation, you didn’t come to this conclusion lightly.

You pack a small travel bag, shoving in essentials like clothes, toiletries and a framed photo of you and Johnny on your wedding day, although he had betrayed you, you knew you likely wouldn’t ever stop loving him. You exhale shakily as you write a note, not being able to handle confrontation, you wouldn’t allow him to lie his way out of the truth, and you couldn’t deal with seeing him hurt, even if he had broken your heart into a million shards that would remain broken.

You kiss the letter and sob as you place it on the dining table, the bold letters “dear Johnny” was likely to gain his attention, you couldn’t bare to look back at your house, one you had purchased together nearly a decade ago. The thought hit you hard, 15 years thrown in the gutter just like that.

You dumped your bag in the passenger seat of the car and drove, miraculously you didn’t end up in a car wreck, not remembering taking the turns and going through traffic lights that had led you here, to Simon’s house, you didn’t know why you’d driven here, you had only met him a few times through Johnny and you weren’t even sure he liked you. Alas, you stood hesitantly at his front door, fat tears rolling down your cheeks as you try to hold back a sob, trying to hold yourself together as you knock on the door. There’s a minute of silence before Simon opens the door, he’s taken aback when he sees you, your demeanour completely broken with a travel bag by your side. Wordlessly, he opens the door and lets you in.

You sit on the lounge and Simon sits directly across from you, his large sofa feeling brand new as it sits unused in the months he’s gone, doubting he ever has visitors occupying the seat enough to wear it in. “What’s goin on lovie?” Simons blonde eyelashes like through the skull baklava, blue eyes watching you intensely. Through your broken voice you somehow mutter, “he’s cheating on me, Johnny’s cheating on me Simon.” You can see that he’s frowning under the baklava, wrinkles visible under the dark material. “Johnny wouldn’t do that, how’d you figure that?”

You slump into his couch, wishing it would swallow you whole. “He’s been gone every Tuesday since he got back, Tuesday’s we always have movie nights, he’s been gone the whole day and I-“ you take a shaky breath, not wanting to make Simon more uncomfortable, “he’s just been so distant, the way he speaks to me, I feel like I don’t know him.”

“M sorry lovie. Have you told him you’re here?” You shake your head no, and he just nods, “alright, cmon you can take my bed, you ain’t layin on the couch.” You follow Simon down the hall to his bedroom, quietly thank him as he sacrifices his own bed for your comfort, through exhaustion and heartbreak you fall asleep the moment your head hits Simon’s pillow, wishing it smelt like Johnny.

You were awoken to shuffling, muffled yelling and the sound of skin on skin. Your watch reads 12:45am. You turn on the light and rush down the hall and peek around the corner in curiosity. You see Johnny standing at the door shoving Simon. “I know she’s fuckin in here Simon let me in, her cars in the driveway.” Simon shoves Johnny back, pushing him out the doorway. “She don’t wanna see you Johnny. Go home.” Johnny looks around before he starts to shout your name, over and over banging on the open door.

“She sleepin in your bed Simon? You layin with my wife?” The fury in Johnny’s voice sends shivers down your spine, the accusation making you nauseous, it has you furious, the way he would accuse you of cheating when he was the one that was unloyal.

“Rich coming from you Johnny,” you muse from the hallway, your body becoming more visable to Johnny as you step behind your host, Simon tensing up as if to protect you. “Come home with me Bonnie, I can forgive ya.” Johnny had tears in his eyes and you scoff, “I’m not sleeping with Simon, he was on the couch and gave me his bed. Unlike you, gone all day, you’ve been cheating on me.” Johnnys face drops, he knows he has an ultimatum; tell her the truth or hide the secret.

“I ain’t cheating Bonnie.” You cross your arms, “well, what have you been doing?” Johnny shuffles and he can’t meet your eyes, that’s answer enough for you. All you do is shake your head and take off your wedding ring, throwing it at him and it lands on the ground, Johnny scurries to pick it up. “Good night John.” You turn around and break down again, your hands rubbing the bareness that once held your wedding ring.

Your phone was buzzing and ringing so constantly it woke you up, all notifications from Johnny, some texts from Gaz and even Johnny’s ma. You decline the call from johnny and his ma rings, you sigh and answer the phone. “Hey ma.” Your voice is weak and she coos on the other side of the phone. “Oh lass, how are you holding up?” Your lip wobbles, “not good ma. I’m guessing you heard what happened.” The women mumbles to someone before replying, “it’s not what you thinks happening, go back home and Johnny will explain everything, he’s been with me. That’s all I can say right now.” You bite your lip, “okay ma, I’ll do that.” The relief in her voice is evident, “god bless you lass, goodbye sweetheart.” You hang up the phone and gather your things, begging to be wrong that you didn’t just dump your husband when you misread the situation.

Simon was gone when you walk downstairs so you send him a text, you lock his door and get in the car to start the drive, your heart is hammering the whole drive back. You seemed to hit every red light and it made you antsy, your fingers tapping on the steering wheel and legs shaking up and down. Your car comes squealing into the driveway and you have to break harshly to not hit the back of Johnny’s car in the driveway.

You abandon your bag and rush out the door, knocking on the door furiously, the hardness stings your knuckles, your chest is heaving as you see the door open, lowering your hand, to which your knuckles are red and aching. Johnny looks a mess when you see him, hair messy and black bags under his eyes, his face is red and puffy. His blue eyes are dull as he steps to the side to let you in. The first thing you see is the note on the table and alcohol bottles empty beside the note.

“I’ll help ye pack if ye need some help.” The ache that stops your heart from beating is severe at Johnny’s voice. You turn to him and sit him down on his couch, “I’m not here to pack Johnny, I’m here to talk. I wanna know what’s going on, okay? No more secrets.” Johnny’s body loosens from its tense position and he sighs, “you ain’t goin to believe me.” You put a hand on his thigh and his eyes jerk to look at the touch you’re providing, his eyes watering at the bareness of your ring finger. “I’ll believe you Johnny.” You assure softly. “I asked ma to teach me how to bake.” Your eyebrows pinch together as you frown, why would he hide that from you. “I wanted it to be a surprise, I’m retired baby, I want to start a family with you. Was gonna bake an apple pie an tell you over dinner, but I ruined it.”

“What happened with the apple pie?” You question, he looks around sheepishly, “burnt it.” He looks over his shoulder and points to the apple pie that’s burnt to a crisp on the kitchen bench. “Why don’t I help you make one hm, we can redo this whole thing,” Johnnys soft lips meet yours, moving against them desperately searching for your love. “Deal, but you gotta put this back on,” he pulls your wedding ring from his pocket and your cheeks flush red with embarrassment as he slides it on your finger, the feeling welcome as it hugs your finger comfortably, “please don’t ever take it off.” You look up from the glistening diamonds and into your husbands ocean eyes, “promise Johnny.”

OMORI MLB AU MASTERPOST (might change)

What is the OMORI MLB AU?

It is an alternative universe I've created as a joke, but it slowly turned into a legitimate AU of mine where Sunny and Basil from the video game OMORI are superheroes, specifically Ladybug and Chat Noir from the TV show Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir.

What is the setting?

It takes place in Paris, at the same time as the Miraculous Origin episode. But instead of Marinette and Adrien, the heroes are Sunny and Basil. Master Fu was in a hurry, you see... He had to choose a new guardian for the Miracle Box, and happened to stumble across a male nurse. Sunny and Basil go to a private school, as well as the Faraway kids, except here they're french and Parisian. It would be a school that's similar to the one in the Miraculous movie; very fancy.

Sunny's name isn't "Sunny"?

No, his full name is Kiyomu Fua Suzuki! He is French and Chinese (mom's side) and Japanese (dad's side). Very unusual combo. Sunny is a nickname.

What are the names of the heroes?

Ladybug for Sunny (He just chose the name of the animal his miraculous is tied to) and Catmint for Basil (He wanted to be called Stranger but the public just unanimously chose to call him Catmint so it stuck)

Aubrey and Kel go to the same school as Sunny and Basil. Kel becomes friends with Sunny very quickly (he's kind of the Alya of this au) and Aubrey bullies Basil... Thankfully, it becomes more bearable for Basil as soon as he becomes friends with Sunny. ..And yes they'll get miraculouses Omori is a sentibeing! It was decided in this post that Omori's amok should be a rubber bracelet.

What is Catmint|Basil and Ladybug|Sunny's dynamic?

Sunny and Basil are best friends, but Basil has a crush on Sunny. Ladybug and Catmint are colleagues, but Ladybug has a crush on Catmint. By extension, Catmint has a crush on Sunny and vice-versa (see that funny date drawing)

gonna ramble a bit about the ml art style change bc ig I have more thoughts about it than I knew. tagging this as leaks but no like story stuff is gonna be mentioned bc I don't really know any lol

so going off what little we've seen of it (and in arguably the lowest possible quality at that) I think it's gonna make the show very visually pretty which isn't to say it couldn't be or wasn't in the older style(s) but that was def more inconsistent between studios and such so if this new style is the standard then like. yeah it's gonna look great

buuuuuuuut I also think it looks kinda. generic? like what's happened to a lotta brand logos that used to have personality but now all look super flat and simplified. like the Pepsi logo or whatever. it's a similar situation to the movie (I'll get into this in a bit) where like yes it looks pretty but it doesn't really look like Miraculous to me? like ik the style kinda varied somewhat between the studios but it was largely consistent enough and felt much more unique. like I could see a screencap from any timestamp of any episode and place it as Miraculous just bc of the visual style

now tho it looks less unique to me and more....like a mobile game ad? some kinda un-marketed direct to streaming movie? not trying to sound mean or anything but it just doesn't strike that same feeling the old style did for me as of yet. it feels more like an attempt to ape off a generic Pixar/Disney sorta style which the movie's style did too - and that ig is a good excuse for me to kinda dive into my thoughts there bc like. it looks way more like that movie now right? the y'know completely non-canon movie that to my knowledge wasn't received too terribly well lmao. I feel like this is on some level purposeful tho

I made a post the other day about how someone (especially the youngins) might go into season 6 thinking it's actually more of a season 1 only to presumably find that very much isn't the case pretty quick lmao - but that's still a new viewer, which makes number go up, which is a Good Thing. that s6 looks to be something of a fresh start given the whole Gabe in da Ground situation makes me believe this more since I'm pretty sure he got got in the movie too (<- does not remember the movie she saw twice) albeit in a different way. very real chance they view s6 as something of a soft launch pad with the hope of ppl who only saw the movie just jumping in without looking first. I also have an even more insane conspiracy theory that they're using movie assets at lower res for the sake of cost management but again. nutso hunch

regardless I'm kinda surprised they're changing it so drastically this deep into the series and I have no idea how the quality of animation is gonna hold up from episode to episode, season to season. presumably this is part'a why we haven't had s6 drop yet, that they've been working on it thoroughly, but it's been a good minute since s5 ended and I feel like the drought in content isn't really worth it?

like it's been so long that to me sometimes it's felt like the show straight up ended and while I don't mind a wait like this, the show then coming back looking entirely different to how it used to is gonna be jarring. I'm giving it a chance bc we haven't really seen it yet and that footage is very likely a wip of some sort but all the same I'm not terribly impressed? the emotions seem more stilted and flat, there's a few sorta redesigns that look....off (namely Adrichat, imo), and it feels too much like an attempt at cashing in on whatever success the movie might have had by bringing the look of the show more in line with it

think what gets me the most is that the style and animation of the show was one of the biggest things that drew me in beyond the bugcat of it all. it was the first CG animated show I'd seen where I felt as if the animation really worked; the world felt alive and vibrant, the city lived in and populated, but it didn't feel uncanny or like realistic in any sense, and there were plenty of gaffs and flaws throughout but I feel that only endeared the look of the show to me more - it had its own style that stood out for better or worse and I think that played more a role in the show's success than most have given credit for, and now that it's being entirely dropped in favor of a style that feels much more like some generic CG animation style I can't help but feel a bit disheartened and even nervous about the future of the series tbh

want to say that I'm not looking to hate it - I'm gonna give it a chance, and again I think it does visually look pretty, but I feel like it loses a lot of what made the show stand out to me and changes things I don't think really needed changed. time will tell but as of now I'm really not sold on it

also think having a special (or two? maybe?) in the old style just to drop us into the newer one presumably shortly after is kinda weird. wonder what happened there. bad timing? tbh using a special to introduce it mighta helped a bit but idk for sure

Honestly from hearing what you're saying about the movie and listening to others, I've come to the conclusion that people who love the show hate the movie and those who love the movie hate the show or at least the show's ending lol. Cause I really loved the movie and wished they introduced the concepts brought up in the movie into the show...... and also get rid of Thomas cause he's ass lmao

The miraculous lore is so flat and empty. No lucky charm?? What's great about Ladybug's power is that she finds solutions with her cleverness and it wasn't at all exploited. It was honestly hard to understand how they even managed to beat the villains at all. No akumatised objects, you don't understand well how the akuma leave them or anything

They made Chat Noir a misogynistic asshole lmao who is this guy, I don't know him

None of the characters backstory is exploited nor make sense. Adrien was in school all along? He's not a model? He can stand up to his father like it's normal? Sorry but no

WHERE IS THE TENSION NONE FOUND HERE. There's an identity reveal that couldn't fall more flat because there's no time to see the characters interact, there's no time to build some tension of sort. Adrinette is barely seen onscreen so a reveal cannot be impactful knowing that

The way they fall in love is just....lame and empty?? Marinette just falls for a guy in a library who asks her if she's alright. Cool. Chat Noir falls for Ladybug after she saved his sorry macho ass and there's no big moment or whatever apart from Careless Whisper playing

The themes were basics and done in the most cliché way (be yourself, not be afraid, loveeee wins etc)

Marinette wants to be ladybug again because?? Of some song with Tikki??? And that's it? No big moment where she realises she has to stand in or anything. She just suddenly goes 'ok I have to do that'

Don't get me started on the Gabriel/Adrien reveal and their hug and all fjzjjdje anyways

Marinette's cleverness and what makes her a hero in the series just isn't here. She's not standing out. Zag said fuck u feminism for real

The ladynoir practice/play-fight was great and I wished we had had more of that in the series

The visuals in terms of background were great (still hate the characters design). But for instance the Eiffel Tower reaaaally looked huge as it is and we got that impression, the Paris of the movie feels a lot like the real Paris

And yeah Thomas doesn't have the best way of handling twitter at all but from what I've heard, Zag really isn't as great as the fandom makes him seem to be, he's just good at hiding it on social medias 😅 at least Thomas is a good storyteller and the same cannot be said about Zag with what happened in this movie and how...well.....his other shows are working

Treasure planet/island au - set in space like treasure planet but I pull in a bit more of the plot/events from the book

brother bear au - setting and details a little iffy

Longer descriptions under the cut because uh. It got long lol (most of these are personality and character based from 2003 series, but could also be from other series/general/non specific iteration as well)

Turtleverse- So this is .... mostly just a place for all the iterations to hang out and meet each other. Kinda like the place in Across the Spiderverse. Theres not much for plot, except. The turtle in charge of everything in the turtle verse is the Donatello who disappeared in Same as it Never Was (2003 series). In this au, that Don was experimenting with alternate dimensions and time travel and accidentally sent himself to another dimension. Because of where ever he was sent, it takes him a while to travel through dimensions and then spends years hopping from universe to universe trying to find home. But because of [science stuff that I'm going to blame on quantum physic even though that's probably not the right term] his body isnt tuned to his home dimension anymore, and so if he ever made it back he wouldnt be able to stay there. And/or by the time he makes it back the events of same as it never was have already happened. So instead, he "maps" out the other turtle universes and allows crossovers to happen and a big ole hang out. (Like I said before, theres not really a Plot, but if there was, itd would probably have somethign to do with Don being A Bit controlling of the different universes and them not messing with Canon Events (like Manuel in Spiderverse), because he knows 03 Don made it to his home dimension, and while 03 Don got his brothers tow work together and defeat shredder, Don's brothers died and SAINW Don holds that against 03 Don and dosnt want other turtles interfering with other universes. So the plot would be addressing... all that while probably also dealing with some other interdimensionalproblem)

Pacific Rim au- like I said, I hope to draw of this and explain it more there. But I'll go ahead and give a run down. This is a human au. The bros are 4 identical brothers that pilot the only four man jaeger. They can also pilot a normal two man jaeger in any combination. But one day when a kaiju that comes out of the rift is more powerful than they expect, it tears into their jaeger and Donnie gets ripped out. After they get their damaged jaeger back to shore and injuries taken care of. They search for Donnie but never find him and (logically) assume he died. What they dont know is that donnie miraculously made it to shore and got picked up by some locals. But Don got a head injury and doesnt remember who he is and no one else realizes that he's the jaeger pilot who was lost at sea. (The bros are fairly private and so their faces arent publicized, and after people from the jaeger program looked for donnie, they really figured he was gone ((okay actually there is debate between the brothers)) so they didnt keep up the search.) As for Donnie, he assumes he's just a person whose home was destroyed by the kaiju and that theres just no one left to look for him. A man that goes by the nickname Leatherhead, takes him in and as the years go by the work on building the wall to protect against kaiju attacks (Don does his own research on the kaiju on the side tho). Anyway. After Don is gone, they cant pilot the 4man jaeger anymore and work in teams of two. But because of disagreements about Don's fate (like how they argued in SAINW) they dont work quite as well together. So Raph and Casey are drift compatible . And Leo and Usagi are Drift compatible. Mikey probably Could drift with others (if I wanted to bring in Mondo gecko into the au theyd be drift compatible), but he's trying to make sure his bros stay together and works with them.

BUT. Mikey hurt his arm during a fight. (Maybe just broken, maybe loses it if I want to lean into the SAINW parallel) So he's benched for a while. With all the gossip of the 4 drift compatible brothers losing a member and getting new drift partners eventually photos of their faces get out there. Someone who works on the wall keeps up with jaeger pilot gossip and thinks, "hey that guy kinda looks like those pilots. Guess the jaeger program really is going to shit if one is retiring to work on the wall" and maybe jokes about it with others. Eventually a rumor starts that theres a retired jaeger pilot working there. Don, who is probably going by a different name but I havent decided what yet, doesnt pay much attention to rumors and if he Does here, absolutely doesn't think it's about him. He doesnt pay much attention to the jaegers and focuses more on the kaiju themselves. Anyway, Mikey ends up hearing the rumor (because he's bored when benched and so goes out and wanders and also is secretly working on rebuilding their 4man jaeger) and goes "well it's not me, and I know it's not Raph or Leo... ". So trying to keep his hope down in case it's not what he thinks, (because really, it's been 5 years. If it was donnie he would have come home. Right?) He goes to see who this look a like is. He goes to where the wall is being built and looks around for a while and is about to call it quits when he bumps into someone. Don does a double take at the person he bumped into because he was looking at his notes instead of where he was walking. Realizes he's probably in the way and apologizes and goes to walk around. Then Mikey, who was so stunned to suddenly run into his brother (who he knows is donnie. Even with the scar he can see peaking out underneath his hair on his temple) who has been Gone for Five Years. He stops Don and questions where he's been. Don is very confused doesnt know what to make of this person who looks such like him. Eventually they put it together that don has lost his memories and Mikey begs Don to come back with him. Don isn't really sure what to think, (could this really be his brother?), he doesn't know this guy and doesnt know if he believes the "yeah I'm your brother and you have 2 more identical brothers as well" and he has been gathering impressive data on the kaiju that he doesnt want to abandon. So mike goes, come see my brothers and you'll see and if nothing else, you can conduct proper research with other scientist there. So don says yes. (But really. After just a minute of talking with mikey, Don would have gone back with him because he could Feel a connection and he Has to figure out the truth of what happened to him). Anyway they go back, Don meets his other missing brothers, theres crying and hugs and apologies and awkwardness. They do a drift at some point and Thats what brings back all of Don's memories. Something something they end up saving the day. I havent thought much plot past the bros reuniting lol

Treasure planet/island au- setting is in space like Treasureplanet, so the boys are turtles. But some plot/events and character roles taken from the book. Splinter and the bros help run an inn. Theyve all grown up hearing stories of the Pirate Krang and his hidden treasure. Someone comes to the inn with a map (I'm thinking baxter stockman. Possibly in this weird brain/tentacle form since this is space and I can use his weirder forms) and other pirates pancake the inn and burn it down with the bros barely escaping with the map. Casey is a friend of the family and they go to his house. Leatherhead is a doctor/scientist and was with the turtles at the time. Mikey and/or Don are messing with the map and are the ones to figure out how to open it. Once they realize they have Krang's Treasure Map, they set out to find it. Casey and leatherhead hire the crew. Leatherhead hires the well renown Captain April O'Neil with firstmate Traximus the triceraton. Casey hired the cook and his daughter who helped hire the rest of the crew. Oroku Saki is an utrom in an exo-suit "with a passion for cooking". His adopted daughter Karai is an excellent sailor. :) Anyway they set sail. April knows soemthign is up with the crew and doesnt trust them one bit. The turtles are slightly suspicious of Saki, but mikey likes cooking with him, Don is fascinated by his exo-suit, and Leo likes training with Karai, and is charmed by Saki's "Honor". Raph doesnt trust them at all, but has no proof for anything and his brothers seem okay with them so he keeps his temper down (as much as he can. He's raph tho lol) anyway. Leo (and mikey maybe?) eventually overhear Shredders real plans to create a mutant and take over the ship. The rest of the events are a little unplanned because it's a mix of book events and movie events and I didnt write down everything that I apparently originally thought of. But two of the brothers (originally wrote down Mikey and Raph but that might change) sneak off the ship to join the pirates pretending to think that they are still good loyal crew. They get away from the pirates and meet The Fugitoid, Professor Hunnicut, former navigator for the Pirate Captain Krang. Later 2 of the other turtle brothers (maybe leo and don?) Are trying to get the main ship back and have a epic fight with ... someone. Maybe hun or bishop and/or Karai. Idk. Like I said. Iffy plot points. Karai is the one who has a change of heart and helps the brothers. Also the pirates may not be after treasure so much as, say, a giant portal that can take them across the galaxy in the blink of an eye. Fugitoid may or may not have actually been the one to booby trap the planet so no one could use the technology again for evil.

Brother bear au- setting would probably change. but idk to what/where exactly. The brothers, when reach a certain age are given totems/amulets/soemthing(depends on setting) with a certain trait. Leo the oldest gets Guidance. Don second oldest gets Wisdom. And raph is supposed to get his. he gets Love. Gets mad about the animal he gets. (I havent fully decided if I'm sticking with the whole turning into a Bear thing and giving the eagle and wolf to leo and don. Or to turn raph into a turtle demon(like the ones from the ninja tribunal arc) because then I'm not sure what animal/creature to give to the rest of the brothers. Anyway). Mikey is the youngest and hasnt recieved his yet. things happen, Raph goes a bear/turtle monster and Leo does saving his brothers (I'm sorry leo 😭). Raph decides to go after the "monster" again, despite Don and mikey telling him not to. Raph goes out, kills it, and gets turned into said creature. Donnie who had followed after Rpah thinks his other brother has now died as well and decides he need to go after it as well. Mikey may or may not join him (I havent decided). Raph meets a young one along the way, and while I was originally thinking Tyler(? From lone raph and cub 2003) I think this would be a good spot for Spike/Slash. (I could also change it that mikey is the kid he picks up along the way, it could work. but I also like the idea of the 4 of them actually being brothers the whole time) anyway. travel shenanigans and raph realizing that the "monsters" arent monsters meanwhile Don is having A Time following the creature who killed two of his brothers.

And then the newest addition to the Au's and what prompted that other post

Princess and the frog, I mean turtle- theres so many different ways I could go with this. But I think I'm leaning towards an au where, somehow, at least one of the brothers (who are mutant turtles) gets cursed into a normal turtle (because I think its funny). They're all trying to figure out how to break the spell/curse. They find April and think she is a princess whose kiss will break the spell, but she's not a real princess and ends up cursed too. So then they're ALL trying to figure out how to fix it. Havent decided if it's the situation from some of the original stories where the frog has to eat off the princess's plate three times, or kissed by a princess or "true loves kiss". But if it is the true loves kiss, I'm going the Platonic Love is just as true love as romantic love route.

This one hasnt been cooking in my mind as long so it's not as detailed, but I do like the idea of the turtles and april helping each other try to reverse the curse. (It could also be that casey and/or april got cursed originally and the turtles are there to help them find a solution. Or it could be that the brothers are supposed to be human and got turned into turtles/or turtle mutant)

The symbolism of the sunset

Gonna get a bit philosophical here.

Has anyone else noticed how often Ladybug and Cat Noir have their serious conversations while the sun is setting? Think about the end of Chat Blanc, Kuro Neko, Hack San.

Sunsets usually symbolize an ending. If you do a quick Google search, it says The setting of the sun represents the completion of a day's work, so it represents the opportunity to rest.

That’s accurate in Miraculous’s case because it’s always after they’re off duty and finished fighting the baddie of the day. It’s a resting period when they can just sit and talk about what they need to talk about. It’s the ending of a bad day, the ending of whatever pickle they ended up in within the episode.

Take notice to how the problem is always a personal problem between them. Always something relating to their relationship and something that messed with it.

Sunsets remind me of “Nothing Gold Can Stay” by Robert Frost, specifically how it’s used in the scene from The Outsiders (my favorite book of all time). Click that link if you want to watch the scene from the movie adaptation.

If you’ve ever read this poem, it refers a season ending, but in a very symbolic way. And, in The Outsiders, Ponyboy recites this while him and Johnny are watching the sunset. Johnny wishes it could stay beautiful like that forever, but Ponyboy implies with this poem that it can’t. Good, beautiful things can’t last forever.

Why am I referencing this? Because it fits perfectly with the plot of Jubilation. Ladybug and Cat Noir were living in a dream where they were living a perfect life together, a dream Cat Noir wanted to keep living in. But, it can’t stay like that. That’s impossible. In fact, nothing good (gold) seems to stay for the two heroes.

The symbolism of their physical distance

Notice how close they were sitting at the very beginning of the scene vs the gap between them at the very end.

From a regular visual standpoint, they didn’t want to be directly in the line of the sun. That’s understandable lol

It’s also them not feeling comfortable sitting close together after that dream. Especially in Ladybug’s case. She feels awkward and more of a need to distance herself from him because she’s in denial of her feelings for him as well as knowing she can’t be close to him, both in terms of physical intimacy and emotional intimacy.

Symbolically, it shows they can’t be together now. They need to stay apart despite them not wanting to. There’s too much on both their plates, and Hawk Moth will take full advantage of their relationship if they decided to be together and he happens to find out.

It also shows how far Ladybug has drifted from Cat Noir. Sure, it’s improved since last season, but she’s still hiding a lot from him and not being an open book. She just lied right to his face about the dream, saying Hawk Moth somehow altered it, because she didn’t want him knowing it’s also her dream to be with him after they defeat Hawk Moth. It’s so sad, but I understand why she would lie about that.

Over the progression of these sunset scenes, Ladybug sits farther and farther from Cat Noir.

5. Do you respond to comments?

I try to respond to each comment, but sometimes a few will fall through the cracks, and then the longer it takes, the more awkward I feel about responding...

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I haven't written angst in a long time, and there was never much of it, but the angstiest thing I ever did was probably "Sunshine" (for the Psy-Changeling series), a brief oneshot about one half of a mated pair dying in the other's arms.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

This one's tough because I write a lot of romance, which dictates a happy ending. Probably “All You Need Is Love and a Cat” (an overall happy story) or “Obviously” (a story with some angst but a happy ending).

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Thankfully, not so much. Fandom has been kind to me overall. The weirdest comment I ever got, though, was on a slow-burn Leyna fic, in which the reader suggested I should "think harder about what I'm doing"?? lmao

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do now. (I didn't for a long, long time.) I primarily write FF sex. I might write Leyna or Rimahiko (MF) smut in the future, though. We’ll see what happens.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I’ve written one crossover. It’s not on AO3 because it was absolutely batshit. That’s all I’ll say about that.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not a whole fic, as far as I know. Once I found a single sentence (it was a distinctive sentence!) from one of my Leyna fics copied into another Leyna fic. I contacted the author and asked them to remove it, and they did.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! My Caitvi oneshot pour some sugar on me (in the name of love) was translated into Spanish.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nah, I haven’t. I think it’d be super cool, though!

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Now that’s mean. Leyna and Caitvi can battle it out for the rest of time.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I want to finish “you are the best thing that's ever been mine” (Caitvi omegaverse), but at this point I have no idea where I'm going with it, so progress is, uh, unlikely.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue is definitely my strength. I like banter and conversation.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Committing to finishing all the long-form fics I start, lol. And I’m not much for description, unfortunately.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Sheer terror. I wrote bits and pieces of Spanish for my Leyna fics, and I was always afraid of getting hate for it not being realistic enough.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

The first fanfic I wrote, ever, was for the movie Cats Don’t Dance. It was backstory for the FMC, Sawyer the cat. Handwritten with illustrations and everything. My first posted fanfic was for the Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud, in 2008.

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

You can’t pay me to pick one. Here’s three.

“A Good Chance”: Rima thinks there's a good chance she might actually lose her scholarship. Nagihiko thinks there's a good chance he might actually lose his mind. College AU.

“Obviously”: Best friends Reyna and Jason rule student government, while best friends Leo and Piper wreak havoc as the campus troublemakers. But when Jason and Piper get together, the four of them begin to spend a lot of "quality time" together—and uncover why the rival university burned to the ground. College AU.

“say my name and every color illuminates”: In a world where people only see color once they make eye contact with their soulmate, Caitlyn and Vi have learned to live in black and white. But a chance encounter at the gym changes everything. Contemporary soulmates AU.

Random media i love and want to recommend:

Saving Me (animated tv show) - A Canadian show about a brilliant 61 y/o inventor who, upon realizing that he's driven away everyone he ever loved, projects himself into the mind of his 12 y/o self to help save his (their?) relationships before they crash and burn. This show gives me super intense Gravity Falls vibes, in the sense that it's basically just what would happen if Ford Pines went back in time to help his child self. It also has a lot of interesting plot pieces that slowly connect over the course of the series. Currently has two seasons.

Daybreaking Romance (manhwa) - A Korean manhwa following three different college couples and their romantic escapades. This is very slice of life but also features comedic misunderstandings of epic proportions and grounded examinations of people, not to mention plenty of nice lighthearted emotional turmoil. Also two of the main characters (Saebyeok and Yeomyoung) are the most autistic twins you'll ever meet. Check it out if you like simping boyfriends, aesthetically pleasing artwork, and misunderstandings that drive you up the wall in a good way (if you're a Miraculous Ladybug fan you'll probably like this one lol). Unfortunately there's no official English translation so you'll have to read it online.

Mision: Yozakura Family (manga) - a recent(ish) Japanese manga about a high schooler who accidentally gets married to the head of a family of spies and is adopted into the family business. Now I've complained about this series in the past, but I'm still recommending it because it's funny and sweet, all of the characters are easy to love, and the main couple are incredibly shippable. Plus its myth arc is shaping up to be incredibly interesting!

The Goes Wrong Show (tv series) - a British comedy series with the premise "what if an amateur theater group tried to put on shows and they went disastrously wrong?" It's the most hysterical, side-splitting show I've ever seen - I'm not kidding when I say every episode makes me choke with laughter. The craftsmanship is also top notch. You will not BELIEVE what sort of things these actors will go through for the sake of the bit. There are two series (seasons) plus a handful of holiday specials and a wholeass movie. Also, the entire series is free on YouTube!

Small Kingdoms (book by Charlaine Harris) - a short story collection, all featuring the same character: Anne DeWhitt, an assassin trainer turned high school principal. The writing is clean and concise, in a way that grips you right from the first sentence and doesn't let go; I also really love the characters, who are delightfully practical and also super endearing. Definitely recommended if you like thrillers, good writing, and short reads.

Eerie Tales From The School of Screams (graphic novel) - a recent horror anthology comic. It's middle grade fiction, but hoooo boy it's the sort of book kids will come back to as adults and be like "holy shit, this was for kids???" You might recognize the author and artist (Graham Annable) because he's done a bunch of comics/comic strips and also worked on movies like Boxtrolls and Coraline. This one has a bunch of body horror and creepy art so genuinely don't read it if you're not interested in horror horror ^^'

MLB AU x SONADOW

What's the result?

A chaotic AU with the most unbearable slow burn of all ages.

Yep, we're doing this. Or at least we will talk about it, because I need to share it with someone. Anyone.

Warning: contains spoilers of MLB movie

So ever since the new movie of MLB came out -btw you should go see it, it's pretty light-hearted and adorable- my head is spinning and thinking what would happen if our two hedgehogs had been instead on the main characters' place, but with their own personalities.

Sonic would take Marinette's role, I haven't thought of a backstory yet, -and no he is not shy and without confidence, he is sly and cocky as ever- but he lives with Tails -when he isn't on one of his trips- and together they attend Chaos High on Green Hill -I'm still planning the settings and the names in my head-

On the other hand, Shadow takes Adrien's role, but unlike him, he's actually moving from his home in Station Square to go live with his best friend, Rouge, for a while, who miraculously lives in Green Hill as the others. And surprise, surprise, Gerald is alive! Does that mean that he is Hawk Moth and that Maria is Emily? To be honest, I'm still debating if Gerald is the real villain, because I want to include GUN in the game as well, but oh man, stuff like that takes time.

For sure though Maria takes Emily's place.

There's a high possibility though that she isn't dead. Just pretty sick. For now at least ;) *cough* I meant, she will be fine!

Tikal is the guardian so she takes the place of Master Fu and there are no kwamies. Yes, that's right. Instead of kwamies -do I even spell that right?- we have chaos, thus and why Tikal is the guardian of them. And instead of having a plethora of them there are only seven of them, each of them bearing a chaos emerald.

So skipping into the plot we have first day of a new year with everyone knowing everyone and Shadow being the new transfer student, who clings to Rouge's side and his personal robotic assistant Omega -yeah we're bringing him because we stan Team Dark!-

Introductions are made and oops, the two hedgies make a brief eye contact while at class. Neither of them shows any interest. Ouch I know, but wait, we have track. That's right. And where Sonic believes that his only rival is Jet here comes Shadow to steal the spotlight with his AIR SHOES, even if Sonic deems them rocket shoes. And just like that the blue blur finally pays attention to the stoic new student. Not as if he's fallen in love, but he is intrigued by him! I mean, have you seen any other running as fast as him?

Note; there are no super powers in this world, but Tails still is the smartest of the group, lol. That's just his nature. However he doesn't know that he can fly with his second tail. That's something that he'll discover later.

Anyways moving on, Hawk Moth -or however I'll remain the character later, because I'm not keeping those names for copyright issues- suddenly awakens the purple emerald, thus and the chao with it that have been lost in the fight that have broke between the echidna race and Tikal is forced to call upon the chaos of the dark blue and red chaos emeralds, named -that's actually a good question, I'm debating on Azul and Shade, but that's just basic? Or nah- Anyways, both chaos don't go well with each other and decide like in the movie to select on their own their champions.

Long story short, because there's no way I'm revealing everything, Azul ends up with Sonic and Shade with Shadow and they both activate their powers -after a lot of convincing by both ends, I know surprise for a specific blue hedgehog but sus- I was thinking that the could say, “Chaos Activate” with their respective chao on the start of the sentence, but working on it. Oh they are on their super forms, when powers activated, because I couldn't think of something better and thus their original abilities are unlocked, a.k.a Sonic's speed and Shadow's manipulation over chaos energy.

So the heroes meet while trying to discover where the corrupted with dark chaos energy is -yep, no akumas either- and they do not get along. Shadow having thought of it more, had already picked a name for his secret identity, named -I'm bad at names, but I was thinking something to do with Chaos, like Chaos Controller, but that's just too big so I'll think of something better-. Sonic soon realises that he still haven't thought of his own name, but then the corrupted arrives and interrupts them.

So they fight, they banter, Sonic haves a panic attack, Shadow almost loses his emerald, but they work it out. But like in the series they forget to cleanse the dark chaos energy something that BOTH Sonic and Shadow are able to do with the power of the chaos emerald.

They both find their way after that, working together, learning from their mistakes. Surprisingly, it is Shadow that finds a name for Sonic. Without even thinking of it too hard. He just calls him something and Sonic likes it so he keeps it.

And here's the moment that you all waited for.

The love matter.

Which takes a LOT OF TIME to finally come.

So to put it simple.

Sonic loves Shadow.

Shadow loves Super Sonic.

-this is where you all start clapping and fangirling-

There I said it. You can all just toy with the idea now, if you haven't thought of this already. And oh they both get refused by the other like the movie. But first is Shadow who declines Sonic and then Super Sonic who declines Super Shadow. Why? Because one thing led to another and Sonic accidentally reveals his like to the other hedgehog. Shadow of course is taken aback, because he didn't expect Sonic to like him. Not that Sonic would like to change anything in their current relationship, because it's perfect as it is. He just wishes to know if Shadow would like to keep it like that and after graduation. Shadow, however, likes Super Sonic and thus declines Sonic. Of course he doesn't express this in a harsh manner. He is considerate of the other's feelings. But Sonic of course is hurting. So imagine the SAME time in the evening to getting asked by Super Shadow, if he would like for their relationship to grow into something more. Sonic just can't and he leaves immediately like he'd done a prior hours ago.

Of course I'm not telling you how they get together or how they overcome this, because where's the fun in that? Don't know, if I'll make it into a fic this idea yet, but feel free to send me asks, if you have any questions.

Furthermore you can even take this idea and turn it into something unique. Just be sure to let me know so I can keep an eye out of it. I wouldn't mind reading an AU like this or seeing art of it.
