the funny thing about socializing cats at the animal shelter is that it can sometimes be quite difficult to tell the difference between a cat who's very scared, but unwilling to move or hiss, and will strike or bite if you touch them, and a cat who's a little scared and unwilling to move, but doesn't mind being touched. which means that sometimes I go through the whole process of acclimating a cat to my hand being in their kennel, getting them used to my hand as a moving object, slowly making my way closer and closer to them, testing which angles of approach bother them the least, and eventually making contact, only for the cat to look at me like "thanks for finally petting me. are you stupid or something?"

Me trying to find poc/dark tan fanart of Percy from Percy Jackson. And all I see is the blocked tagged Annabeth Chase or percabeth. Why does everything have to be about Annabeth Chase? Don't care if shes the main character love interest. I dont like her in the books. God, if I hear someone describe kids who are superheroes as child soldiers one more time! Why do we constantly have to suck the fun out of everything? I get it if the narrative makes it obvious, yes this kid is a child soldier(Fullmetal Alchemist perfect example. I get that. Heck avatar the last airbender too! Perfect exampleof kids in war) But dc and marvel where they have super kids. Let me repeat, Dc and Marvel. The whole point of superkids in these worlds is that it's suppose show that the superhero world is main stream and bigger. Like my hero academia. But also that kids can make a difference. That they can make an impact and aren't powerless. That they can be heros too, and even better than the heroes before. It's about legacy and family! Even if it's not perfect. Kids want to fight and makes a difference. But puirty culture constantly want to make it, "oh no the heroes are bad because they have this whole army of child soldiers. And it's all dark and abusive." AHHHH. It's like people can not be happy unless they're complaining about something. Don't you people have critical reading skills! Aren't you people are aware of the media your reading! I get it if you want to make fanfictions darker. I get that. But don't go around talking about it as if that's fact, as if thats what it's suppose to be, and taking the fun out of super hero worlds and kid heroes. Heck even the media is copying that train of thought just to make bad cheap conflict in the story by making everything angstyier. 🙄 I'm just tired of people treating kid hero teams as if it's fact that they're child soldiers when it's not. It's never been about that.

I said it in the replies and I'll say it in a reblog too - The problem with these boxes is, having seen how the insides are packaged, it's not safe to ship them this way! There's barely any buffer between the figure, in a smaller box which isn't even closed, just has some thin foam covering over it, is pressed right up against the edge of the box(face first mind you!) which means it can be so easily damaged if something bangs the shipping box. It's not well designed. And for a figure that can cost upwards of 60$ with 10-30$ shipping depending on where you get it from, you want these things to come in safe. They aren't cheap! It's gonna suck not being able to see something you paid for if you don't happen to have the space to put it on display *right now,* but my issue is the lack of protections inside the box. The blister pack isn't meant to look good, it's meant to keep the figure safe.
