Could you write a Charles Leclerc x child daughter reader (10 years old), where he's at the racetrack, and Charles brings her to the Ferrari garage after school? While in the garage, Charles helps her with her homework and maybe reactions of others on father-daughter moment. I love your fanfics!
Homework in the Paddock

The hum of engines roared through the paddock, a familiar melody to Charles as he walked hand-in-hand with his daughter, Yn. The warmth of the Monaco sun bathed the racetrack in a golden glow, and despite the bustle of team members rushing around, mechanics fine-tuning the cars, and media personnel lingering for interviews, Charles was focused on one thing—Yn.
She was ten years old now, and every bit the light of his life. From the moment she was born, Charles knew his world had changed. It had grown brighter, more meaningful. Every race, every win, every setback—it all mattered more because of her. And he had made sure she could be with him as often as possible, even working out an agreement with her school so she could attend her classes online while traveling with him.
Yn adjusted the straps of her small backpack, shifting it over her shoulders as they walked toward the Ferrari garage. “Papa, what’s on the schedule today?” she asked, glancing up at him with her bright, inquisitive eyes.
Charles squeezed her hand. “I have meetings, media, and then practice, but we have some time before that. I thought we could do your homework together in the garage.”
Yn groaned dramatically, making Charles chuckle. “Papa, I thought I was getting a break from school,” she pouted.
“You promised, ma chérie,” Charles reminded her with a knowing smile. “And I promised your maman I would make sure you did your lessons.”
They stepped into the garage, the smell of fuel and rubber filling the air. The Ferrari team was already busy preparing the car for the next session, but the moment Charles and Yn walked in, heads turned. The entire team had come to adore Yn over the years. She was like a little Ferrari mascot, always there with her father, always bringing an infectious energy that even the most stressful race weekends couldn’t dampen.
“Yn!” Lewis greeted her first, crouching down and holding out his fist for a bump. She grinned and knocked her tiny fist against his. “You keeping your dad in check?”
“I try,” she said dramatically. “But you know how he is.”
Lewis laughed as Charles shook his head. “I’m standing right here, you know.”
Bruno, one of the engineers, came over with a smile. “Doing schoolwork in the garage today, Yn?”
Yn nodded, already pulling out her tablet and notebook. “Papa said we have to,” she said with a sigh, shooting her father a playful look.
Charles pulled up a chair next to the workbench and patted the seat beside him. “Alright, let’s see what we have today.”
Yn sat down, flipping open her notebook. “Math,” she groaned. “Fractions.”
Charles leaned over, scanning the page. “Ah, fractions. The bane of every child’s existence.”
“Did you like math when you were little, Papa?” she asked, pencil poised over the paper.
Charles chuckled. “Not really, but I had to be good at it.”
Yn sighed dramatically, picking up her pencil and staring at the problems. “Okay, if I have three-fourths of a pizza and I eat one-fourth, how much do I have left?” she read aloud.
“Hmm,” Charles said, pretending to think hard. “I don’t know, that’s a tough one.”
Yn rolled her eyes. “Papa.”
He grinned. “Alright, alright. You tell me.”
She tapped her chin before scribbling the answer down. “Two-fourths!”
“Or,” Charles prompted.
“One-half?” she said hesitantly.
He ruffled her hair. “Exactement.”
As they worked through the homework, the Ferrari team continued their preparations, but many couldn’t help but glance over at the duo. It was rare to see such a tender moment in the midst of the high-pressure world of Formula 1, and yet, it felt natural in Charles’ case. He had always been a family man, and everyone knew that Yn was the most important person in his life.
At one point, Lando walked into the garage, talking animatedly to one of his mechanics, but stopped in his tracks when he saw the scene unfolding. He smirked, walking over and leaning against the workbench. “Charles, mate, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you look this serious before.”
Charles looked up, raising a brow. “I am always serious.”
Lando shook his head. “Not like this. This is next-level focus.”
Yn giggled, looking up at Lando. “He’s just helping me with math.”
“Fractions?” Lando asked, peeking at her notebook. “Oh man, I was terrible at those.”
Yn gasped dramatically. “Even race car drivers are bad at fractions?”
Lando nodded solemnly. “Absolutely. That’s why we have engineers to do all the hard stuff for us.”
Yn turned to Charles. “Papa, can I just get an engineer to do my homework too?”
Lewis, who had been listening, burst into laughter. “Brilliant idea.”
Charles groaned, shaking his head. “Non, non, you do your own work.”
Just then, Fred walked by, taking in the sight of Charles hunched over a notebook with his daughter. He paused, then shook his head with a chuckle. “Maybe we should put you on the strategy team, Charles.”
Yn perked up. “Can I be on the strategy team too?”
Fred smirked. “If you’re better at fractions than your Papa, I’ll consider it.”
Everyone laughed as Charles sighed dramatically. “Why does everyone bully me?”
Yn leaned her head against his arm. “Because we love you, Papa.”
Charles softened immediately, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “And I love you, ma chérie.”
As the day went on, Charles balanced being both a driver and a father seamlessly. He would answer engineering questions, discuss race strategy, then turn back to Yn’s homework to explain another problem. It was a side of him that many in the paddock admired—a father who made sure his daughter always knew she was his priority.
By the time the schoolwork was done, Yn stretched her arms above her head. “That was exhausting,” she declared.
Charles smirked. “Now you know how I feel after a race.”
“But you love racing,” she pointed out.
“And you love learning,” he countered.
She gave him a look. “Let’s not go that far.”
Lewis walked over, tossing Yn a Ferrari cap. “Since you worked so hard, I think you deserve a reward.”
Yn grinned, putting it on her head. “Merci, Lewlew!”
Charles smiled as he watched her interact with the team, knowing that no matter how many trophies or podiums he earned, nothing would ever mean more to him than the little girl who made his world brighter every single day.

I won
The hum of Gotham’s streets was a lullaby you’d long grown used to, a gritty serenade that cradled your reckless spirit. At sixteen, you were the youngest of the Wayne family, a footnote in a sprawling saga of heroes and vigilantes. Damian, your older brother, was the closest in age, but even he seemed light-years away, his world consumed by the mantle of Robin and the weight of being the "true heir." You? You were just… there. A shadow in the Wayne Manor, flitting through its cavernous halls, unnoticed by the family that was too busy saving the world to remember you existed.
It wasn’t always this way. You vaguely recalled nights when Dick would ruffle your hair or Tim would help you with math homework, but those moments had faded into the fog of time. Now, the Batfamily was a machine, each cog turning with precision—Bruce with his mission, Dick with his charm, Jason with his rebellion, Tim with his genius, Cass with her silence, Steph with her fire, and Damian with his blade. You didn’t fit into their puzzle. So, you stopped trying.
High school was a blur of half-hearted attendance and naps in the back of class. Gotham Academy’s teachers had given up on contacting your family years ago; the Wayne name was a fortress, impenetrable and indifferent. You’d skip entire days, sneaking out to the edges of Gotham where the city’s pulse beat wilder. That’s where you found the races.
Illegal car races were Gotham’s worst-kept secret, a haven for thrill-seekers and outcasts like you. The roar of engines, the screech of tires, the electric buzz of danger—it was the only time you felt alive. You weren’t a driver, not yet, but you’d wormed your way into the scene, charming mechanics and betting on racers with the pocket money you swiped from Bruce’s study. You were good at it, too, with an easy laugh and a disarming smile that made people forget you were a Wayne.
Tonight, the air was thick with exhaust and adrenaline. You leaned against a chain-link fence, a cherry slushie in hand, your oversized hoodie slipping off one shoulder. The race was about to start, and the crowd was a sea of restless energy—shouts, laughter, and the occasional clink of beer bottles. Your eyes scanned the lineup of cars, picking out your bet for the night: a sleek, modded Supra driven by a guy named Rico who’d never lost a race.
“Yo, kid, you in or what?” Rico called from his driver’s seat, grinning as he revved his engine.
You smirked, tossing your hair back. “Hundred on you, Rico. Don’t make me regret it.”
He laughed, a deep, rumbling sound. “Never do, princess.”
The nickname made you roll your eyes, but you didn’t correct him. You liked the way the racers treated you—like you belonged, not like you were some fragile heiress. You sipped your slushie, the cold stinging your teeth, and turned to watch the flagger prep the start.
That’s when you felt it. A prickle on the back of your neck, like someone was watching you. Not the usual curious glances from strangers; this was heavier, sharper. You scanned the crowd, but no one stood out. Just hoodies, leather jackets, and the occasional drunk stumbling through. Shrugging it off, you turned back to the race, chalking it up to paranoia. Gotham had a way of making you feel like prey.
The flag dropped, and the cars screamed forward, a blur of neon and chrome. The crowd erupted, and you whooped, jumping onto a crate for a better view. Rico’s Supra was holding the lead, weaving through turns with a grace that made your heart race. You were so caught up in the moment, you didn’t notice the figure slipping through the shadows behind you.
☆☆☆☆
Jason Todd wasn’t supposed to be here. He’d told himself he was just scoping out the races for intel, tracking a lead on some smuggler who’d been funneling cash through Gotham’s underground. But that was a lie, and he knew it. The truth was messier, uglier. He’d heard rumors—whispers of a girl who sounded too much like *you*, throwing herself into the kind of trouble that got people killed. He hadn’t believed it at first. You were the baby of the family, the one they all assumed was tucked safely in bed, too soft and sweet for Gotham’s underbelly. But the more he heard, the more he couldn’t shake the gnawing dread in his chest.
Now, watching you from the edge of the lot, Jason felt his stomach twist. There you were, all reckless laughter and bright eyes, perched on a crate like you owned the damn place. You didn’t look neglected, not in the way he’d imagined—starved or broken. You looked *alive*, vibrant in a way that made his chest ache. But you were also sixteen, alone, and surrounded by people who’d sell you out for a quick buck. The thought made his blood boil.
He pulled his hood lower, blending into the crowd as he moved closer. You were cheering for some guy in a Supra, your voice cutting through the chaos like a bell. Jason’s jaw clenched. Did you even know these people? Did you have any idea what kind of danger you were in? He doubted it. You’d always been too trusting, too quick to see the good in people. It was why he’d kept his distance after he came back, why he hadn’t reached out. You were too pure for someone like him, stained as he was.
But this? This was different. You weren’t supposed to be here, in this world of speed and sin. And the fact that no one—not Bruce, not Dick, not even Damian—had noticed you slipping through the cracks? That lit a fire in him he couldn’t smother.
The race ended with Rico’s Supra crossing the line first, and you leapt off the crate, whooping like you’d won the lottery. Jason watched as you darted toward Rico’s car, tossing your empty slushie cup into a pile of trash. You were all smiles, high-fiving the driver and collecting your winnings with a grin that could’ve lit up the night. For a moment, Jason almost smiled, too. You looked… happy. Free.
Then he saw the guy next to Rico, some sleaze with a neck tattoo and a leer that made Jason’s fists itch. The guy was looking at you like you were something to be won, and you didn’t even notice, too caught up in the moment. Jason took a step forward, his instincts screaming to drag you out of there, to lock you in the manor where you’d be safe. But he stopped himself. Not yet. He needed to be sure.
You laughed at something Rico said, oblivious to the eyes on you—both Jason’s and the sleaze’s. The night was young, and Gotham’s streets were hungry. Jason melted back into the shadows, his mind racing. He’d keep watch for now, tail you until he knew you were safe. But this wasn’t the end. You were his sister, and he’d be damned if he let you slip away again.
☆☆☆☆
Back at the race, you pocketed your cash, blissfully unaware of the storm brewing in the shadows. The night was perfect—loud, chaotic, yours. You didn’t need the Wayne name or the Batfamily’s approval. You had this, and for now, that was enough.
But as you turned to head back to your spot by the fence, that prickle returned, sharper this time. You paused, glancing over your shoulder. Nothing but darkness and the flicker of neon. You shook your head, laughing at yourself. Gotham was just messing with you, as always.
If only you knew how close the shadows were, and how tightly they were closing in.
☆☆☆
The neon haze of the race lingered in the air, a fading echo of engines and adrenaline. You stuffed the crumpled bills from your winnings into your hoodie pocket, your sneakers scuffing against the cracked asphalt as you made your way through the dispersing crowd. The night was still young, but the thrill of the race was ebbing, leaving you restless. You didn’t want to go back to the manor—not yet. That place was a mausoleum, all cold marble and colder silences. Instead, you decided to head to your favorite dive, a greasy 24-hour diner on the edge of Gotham’s Narrows. It was the kind of place where no one asked questions, and the coffee was bad but cheap.
You slipped into the night, unaware of the shadow trailing you. Jason Todd moved like a wraith, his boots silent against the pavement, his red hood a stark contrast to the gloom. He’d watched you all night, his chest a tangle of anger and something softer, something he didn’t want to name. You were so careless, so *fragile* in this world of predators, and yet you strutted through it like you were untouchable. It infuriated him. It terrified him. He’d lost too much to let you become another casualty, another name etched into Gotham’s endless gravestone.
He kept his distance, blending into the flicker of streetlights and the shuffle of late-night stragglers. You didn’t notice, too busy humming a tune under your breath, your hands shoved deep in your pockets. Jason’s jaw tightened as he watched you dodge a group of drunks stumbling out of a bar, your laughter bright and unburdened. Did you even realize how close you’d come to trouble? How many eyes lingered too long on you in that crowd?
You reached the diner, its flickering sign buzzing like a dying insect. The bell above the door jingled as you pushed inside, and Jason hesitated, slipping into an alley across the street. He could see you through the smudged glass, sliding into a booth with the ease of someone who’d done it a hundred times. You were a regular here, he realized, and that only deepened the ache in his chest. How much of your life had he missed? How much had they *all* missed?
Inside, you waved at the waitress, a tired woman with a smoker’s rasp named Bev. “Usual, kid?” she called, already pouring you a cup of sludge-like coffee.
“Yup,” you chirped, slumping back in the booth. You pulled out your phone, scrolling aimlessly, your other hand drumming on the table. The diner was a bubble of warmth, a stark contrast to the chill of Gotham outside. You liked it here—the chipped Formica tables, the hum of the jukebox, the way no one cared who you were. It was yours, a slice of freedom in a life that felt increasingly like a cage.
But freedom was an illusion in Gotham, and Jason knew it. He leaned against the alley wall, his eyes never leaving you. He was torn, caught between the urge to storm in, grab you by the arm, and drag you back to the manor, and the need to stay distant, to understand just how deep you’d fallen into this reckless world. He settled for watching, for now. But his patience was fraying, and he wasn’t sure how much longer he could hold back.
☆☆☆☆
Back in the diner, you sipped your coffee, wincing at the bitter taste. Bev slid a plate of fries in front of you, and you grinned, tossing her a mock salute. “You’re a saint, Bev.”
“Yeah, yeah,” she muttered, but there was a fondness in her eyes. “Don’t stay too late, kid. Streets ain’t safe.”
You shrugged, popping a fry into your mouth. “I can handle myself.”
Bev shook her head but didn’t argue. She’d seen you come and go for months, always alone, always with that same easy smile. She didn’t know you were a Wayne, and you liked it that way. The less people knew, the less they could use against you.
You were halfway through your fries when your phone buzzed with a text. It was Rico, the racer from earlier.
*Rico: Yo, princess, you up for another round tomorrow? Got a big one. Double or nothing.*
You smirked, thumbs flying over the screen. *Count me in. Better not choke, Rico.*
His reply was instant. *Never do. Bring cash, kid.*
You leaned back, satisfied, already imagining the roar of engines and the rush of the crowd. The races were your escape, a way to drown out the emptiness that clung to you like damp rot. You didn’t need the Batfamily. You didn’t need their rules or their pity. You had this.
But as you stared at the flickering jukebox, a flicker of unease crept in. That prickle from earlier, the sense of being watched—it was back, stronger now. You glanced at the window, but all you saw was your own reflection, pale and ghostly against the dark. You shook it off, blaming the late hour and the shitty coffee. Gotham was just like that, always whispering danger in your ear.
☆☆☆☆
Outside, Jason’s phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen, a message from Tim lighting up the dark.
*Tim: Patrol’s quiet. You good?*
Jason’s thumb hovered over the reply. He could tell Tim he’d found you, that you were out here playing street rat while the rest of the family thought you were asleep in your room. He could blow the whole thing open, force Bruce to deal with the fact that his youngest was slipping through his fingers. But something stopped him. Maybe it was the way you’d looked tonight, so alive in a way he hadn’t seen in years. Maybe it was the guilt gnawing at him, the knowledge that he’d been part of the machine that left you behind.
He typed a quick reply. *Fine. Just checking a lead.*
Then he pocketed the phone and pushed off the wall, his eyes locked on the diner. He couldn’t keep this up forever, tailing you like some ghost. Sooner or later, he’d have to act. And when he did, he wasn’t sure if he’d be saving you—or breaking you.
Inside, you finished your fries and tossed a few bills on the table, waving to Bev as you headed for the door. The bell jingled again, and you stepped into the night, pulling your hoodie tight against the chill. You didn’t see the figure across the street, didn’t hear the soft creak of leather as he moved. But Jason was there, and he wasn’t alone in watching you.
High above, another shadow crouched on a rooftop, silent and still. Damian’s green eyes glinted in the dark, his katana sheathed but his mind sharp. He’d followed Jason, curious about his brother’s late-night wanderings, and now he saw you—his little sister, the one he’d dismissed as weak, unimportant. You weren’t supposed to be here, in this filthy corner of Gotham, surrounded by scum. His lip curled, a mix of disdain and something darker, something possessive.
Damian didn’t know why you were out here, but he didn’t like it. Not one bit. And as he watched you disappear down the street, he made a decision. You were a Wayne, his blood, and that meant you belonged under his protection—whether you wanted it or not.
The shadows of Gotham were closing in, and you, oblivious, walked right into their embrace.

" 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐘 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄 . . . "
𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐂 𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐉𝐎𝐂𝐊 — Lucas Raine . . introduction | masterlist | requesting rules . . warnings : nsfw content / sixteen + content / gender neutral reader / yandere oc x reader / voyeurism kink / yandere jock / yandere content / pathetic / submissive(?) yandere /
Appearance: Lucas is pale (he's korean american) and a brunette, with light brown hair which is curly and cut in a mullet—which is almost always styled—he has a personal obsession with skin care (thanks to his ma) and he has glass skin. Lucas has vieny and large hands, along with a large physique that appears to be very overbearing to those around him—with a skinny waist—he stands at an outstanding 6,2ft. Lucas has hazel eyes, and during golden hour he'll stare at the sun and challenge it to a duel (he'll always fail), he often wears silver bracelets and has ears piercings, though he'll rarely wear earrings.
Character basic info: Lucas's birthday is on November the 3rd! He is bisexual, he has a hard time connecting with people, and has had a scarce amount of serious relationships, he usually loses interest fast, he's unamused and finds love repetitive and somewhat boring. Lucas is a possessive, obsessive, clingy, stalker type of yandere, who is somewhat dependent on you, not at much as Yoichi though.
backstory: Lucas is currently attending University for a degree in mechanical engineering and business, he got in through a sports scholarship, though he plans on becoming an athlete and is currently looking into it. Lucas is actually adopted, with two mom's, he calls them mom and ma respectively. His mom is a famous lawyer who is a perfectionist at heart, which seemed to have rubbed off on him as a result of observing her so much (he'd often read and do homework in her office). Lucas's ma on the other hand, put him in a whole lot of sports and afterschool programs, mainly because she wanted him to not be too feminine—and because she wanted him to try as many new things as possible. His parents can be a bit overbearing, but his childhood was decently comfortable, his parents were more than involved in his life and he couldn't be more grateful.
NSFW | 16 + CONTENT BELOW THE UNDERCUT . . .
Lucas is a switch, with an extremely high sex drive, he's a power bottom—he'll whine and nag as you have him pinned under you—he cries so easily, fucking into you, your insides so warm and soft—he's obsessed, he'll overstimulate you both, and leave you both a crying and sticky mess!!
As a top, Lucas is either rough or gentle, there's no in-between, he loves loves loves taking his time with you—savoring you—watching your face contort into pleasure as he has his way with you, his nails digging into your soft thighs, his mouth on your neck.
Lucas might have a small voyeurism kink—in the sense that he loses control around you, with you, to the sheer thought of you—you're like the off-switch to rationality, he seriously forgets where he is!! He can't help but grow—a little touchy, flirty, needy—the way your hands ghost over his own makes his knees weak!!—he really can't help it, if he's being a little out of hand . . if you didn't like it, you'd tell him to stop!!!
Lucas loves hickies, both receiving them and giving them . . . especially receiving them—mark him, make him your territory, he loves you, he loves being yours . . your hands on him are a delight, the feeling of your lips, teeth, saliva, on his skin is paradise, your marks—he wears them with sheer pride.
Kink-wise Lucas is into anything, he's very calm and open with anything, nothing is really a turn off for him . . spit on him, kick him, tie him down . . he doesn't mind!! . . Though he will be a bit more wary of doing the same to you . .
NON-NSFW HEADCANONS
Lucas's love languages are physical touch and acts of service, he'll have your favorite drink ready for you, every morning. He'll make handmade treats just for you—anything for you . .
Lucas collects small trinkets, and he has a special box filled with things he thinks you'd like—he's a bit embarrassed about it, it just seems very unlikely that someone like Lucas would collect trinkets, so he's a tinsy bit worried you'll judge him—which is weird since he's never really cared about anyone's opinion before you.
Lucas will get you to meet his parents pretty early onto any relationship, he just finds that if his parents like you, then it's a good sign beforehand, he's actually done this to all his friends and though he knows he'll marry you, and that you're the one . . . he wants you to meet the people who made him who he is now!
Lucas does have a note on his phone of the names of his future kids with you, and yes . . he does slightly plan on taking your last name . . . maybe. . possibly . . no comment.

halfas are the found family trope foster child
they all adopt each other. it’s the reason Vlad wanted so badly to have Danny as his son and the reason Danny immediately went with sure you’re my cousin now with Dani. it’s a survival mechanism from being so very few of their species. Sooo, halfa!Jason except he sorta isn’t yet cause Jason’s core is extremely ruptured from the lack of ectoplasm involved in his forceful resurrection. So when Danny finds Jason in his catatonic state he can’t quite tell the dude’s been dead and remains some, just that the guy for some reason seems very friend-shaped. Danny doesn’t mind his friend is braindead, and is also a john doe, he gives familiar vibes and that’s apparently enough for Danny to constantly find himself in the hospital doing his engineering homework on the room with the guy, and talking for hours about the updates on the absolute clusterfuck of the city and how he was from a freaking ghost town and he can almost even draw comparisons. he blabbers about how he’s not homesick enough times to even corner himself to talk about a ghost lore many times and how he’s just finding himself a little more prone to violence and in constant pain since none of the people he has adopted as his family are here with him and he can’t consider a place a lair if there’s isn’t someone of his in it.
But Danny could never drag someone with him just because of some it, after all it was Danny’s choice to come to Gotham to collage and not stay where at least his parents (good parents Jack and Maddie) were in Amity.
Ironically, Danny essentially can’t feel that his core has been spoon feeding ectoplasm to Jason. As months go on, the little ball of energy builds in anticipation practically vibrating in the waiting pulse of something (Danny doesn’t know but more often than not has he found himself laughing in happy confusion. it weirds him out in a good way) It’s really that he’s feeling the slow healing process of his friend (brother brother brother) ‘s core.Imagine it’s just about to properly, correctly heal when canon strikes back and Jason gets snatched by League assassins. Danny is left feeling like his core got torned out. His core had spend months helping another’s only to feel the other’s imprint and to not be able to protect it in return is— forget it being an obsession; thats like having your newborn baby being ripped out of your arms. An all assuaging feeling of helplessness that is devastating. Danny just beginning to feel like home lair when out of nowhere the rug is swept under him. Danny suddenly struggling to not flunk all his classes and beat every single liminal that he can feel crossing paths with him to the ground. Danny suddenly having his chronic pain (that hadn’t been so bad lately) dialed up to the point that there are just bearable and bad days.
The worse thing is he doesn’t know why.
Jason had only been a guy.
…
It’s only a three weeks before Jazz tells him she accepted a job offer in Gotham.
(and the guilt only makes him feel worse when he can feel himself feel better because of it)
…
now
whimsical time skip ✨
Danny is now on his feet again and friends with a Wayne of your choice (or maybe they were friends a little before Jay dissapeared and it was badTM cause Waynes? liminal 🥲) Danny definitely didn’t enjoy snapping off to his friend like that. anyways it’s been a year since that and he and his friend are having a grand time playing civvies, uhh let’s say dick because I want them to meet while ice skating, Also Dick because he definitely turns a blind eye when Danny goes airborne for a second there yep. He’s just having too much fun.
anyways as alwaysTM Danny doesn’t clock celebrities and like why would he, Dick is just the random guy who’s was fast to turn Danny’s slow day in the ice ring into a competition one day and brighten when Danny matched up his puns. So he totally doesn’t get why the guy’s so gloomy one day, anyways as you can figure, it’s Jason’s deathday and Dick is a deprecating bean, Danny tries to cheer him up by having him remember his brother instead and Dick attempts to, but even skipping through some photos in his phone make his eyes burn.
It is because of that that he doesn’t notice Danny absolutely freeze up at the photo of his friend Jay (Jay because he’s a John Doe, but that’s just too impersonal and so the first letter is J *wink wink*)
Danny absolutely doesn’t know what to do with this information, barely catches himself from asking Dick how did his brother die. Most importantly when because Danny just saw Jay—Jason less than a year ago, and this somehow doesn’t feel too recent.
Annd that how we find Danny digging into the Wayne second son tragedy. Staring at the date of death while the knowledge that they met almost six months after burns his forefront of his mind. Danny spends a day going over all the questions running through his mind over how the fuck he couldn’t sense Jay was a ghost—err was… in past tense?? what the fuck?? Danny would really like a refund on his ghost sense.
Anyways Danny goes check out the grave (now that he knows there is one) and boom although intangible he somehow triggers those shitty ass sensors/alarms that somehow didn’t go off when jason was literally digging himself out.
Obviously the bats get in the case immediately. And boy are they absolutely enraged that someone would steal Jason’s body.
#the bats absolutely disgusted that someone would dare desacrate the grave of a dead child: 😡😡#meanwhile danny: :(where’s my friend#Jason is a sad bean who thinks no one even thinks of him#in this au they will>:)#I had a sense of where to go with this but it was all over the place honestly#i just also love the idea of them not finding him until he enters the stage as red hood and the bats just. clock him down so fast#like. omg Jason!! we’ve been searching everywhere!!!#proceed to tackle the fuck out of him with hugs 💕💕#jason’s worldview crumbles cuz#you guys noticed i got outta my grave 🥺??#obviously there’s still the replacement and joker’s still alive point but shhh#one thing at the time#danny fenton#jason todd#ghost cores#also yes the violence tendency was a wink to the pit madness#batman#red hood#dp x dc#also when all was resolved danny and dick would absolutely fight over who gets big brother privileges#danny: I adopted him when you didn’t even know he was alive#dick: yeah? well I adopted him when you didn’t even know he existed#danny: you Dick! you already have Tim#jason:#jason: uhh guys I’m a 2x1 package#(slides Damian into view)#Danny and Dick look at each other#Danny: you get one I get one?#Dick: No!#😔 dick just wants to gatekeep all his little brothers (he has secretly adopted Danny too)

glad i have your attention ig :)
for context, here's the original post i made
sorry about not following up on this for like 3 days lmao, got very much sidetracked by life.
here's more of my silly little gravty falls AU
~~~
So I've always been a big fan of the idea that Stan isn't dumb, he just doesn't learn the same way as Ford does. But nobody ever cared enough to try and accommodate for that difference, so he was just labelled as inferior. Add that to the fact that Stan just doesn't really try if he's not interested in something, and you get the idea.
And of course Stan had to get the Stanleymobile from somewhere, right?
So here's my AU:
Stan and Ford are out and about—they're around 15 years old, in their sophomore year of high school—and they walk past this small mechanic/car repair shop. Stan had never seen it before so he gets curious and wanders off, and Ford doesn't notice because the fucking nerd brought a textbook with him.
He walks up to the main garage of the shop, and sees a car in the corner of the shop, and it's beat up and broken down to hell and back. He notices how absolutely shit it looks, but something in the back of his mind sees the potential in it. So he goes up to the shop's mechanic and asks about the car.
The mechanic basically tells him that the thing is a lost cause, and it's been sitting there for around a decade. And Stan, like a dumbass, takes that as a challenge. So he tells the mechanic that if he can get that car running, then he gets to keep it. And the mechanic is honestly impressed by the sheer balls of this random kid to propose such a thing with such confidence, so he takes Stan up on his deal.
So now Stan is going to that little shop on a daily basis. He's fixing up the Stanleymobile, and the mechanic is teaching him everything he needs to know about cars and mechanics and engineering, and Stan is actually getting it. And he's helping out as much as he can aside from working on the Stanleymobile, by helping fix up other clients' cars and cleaning up around the place.
Eventually, the mechanic gives Stanley a part-time job there, getting paid. But after all this, he never tells his family, because he honestly enjoys what he's doing, and some selfish part of him wants to keep it for himself. But he also doesn't want to seem like an asshole, so he starts secretly using his money and mechanical expertise to start helping around the house.
And slowly, his family and his teachers start noticing. Because things are randomly getting fixed and Stan is improving in school. None of them say anything though, because they don't exactly know why it's happening, but they're certainly not complaining.
Ford, however, is the one to take most notice. He starts realizing how Stan is always going off to do his own thing without him. How Stan is somehow improving in school on his own (Stan sometimes brings his homework with him to the shop and the mechanic explains it to him in a way he understands). The way that Stan isn't clinging to him as much anymore, or pestering him about the Stan O' War as much.
At first, Ford wants to be happy about this, because he's getting his own space to be a person outside of Stan's twin. But then he starts getting really distressed about it, because Stan is actually behaving really weird and not like Stan. So he ends up confronting Stan after a few weeks. Eventually though, Ford gives up, because as long as Stan is happy, then he's happy, and besides it'll all go back to normal soon. A year and a half later though, and now Ford is the one clinging to Stan, and Stan honestly doesn't mind but he is a bit confused.
So this goes on for two years, and right before Stan's 17th birthday, the summer before his senior year, he manages to get the Stanleymobile running. And the mechanic immediately tells Stan how proud he is of him, and Stan starts tearing up on the spot.
Fast forward to his second semester of senior year, and the science fair and West Coast Tech thingy still happens. And Stan is still pretty upset that Ford is gonna be going off to some fancy college without him, because despite his academic improvements, he still doesn't believe that he's good enough for that kinda stuff. So he still goes into the gym and yells at Ford's project, and he punches the table and the screw falls out. But this time as he goes to fix it he notices that something's… off about it. The body of the machine looks weird and its movements are kind of janky and oh Moses he needs to tell Ford about this!
So he rushes home, gets Ford, and drags him to the gym to show him the project. Ford initially doesn't see anything wrong with it, and suspects that Stan might be pranking him. Stan, though, emphasizes his point by starting to explain it, but using a lot of mechanical terms. And Ford is honestly just confused on how Stan knows any of this.
Ford trusts Stan though, so he and Stan start taking the project apart right there on the floor of the school gym to figure out what went wrong. And Stan is just explaining what parts are wrong, what's missing, and woah Ford that is a really shoddy wiring job. Ford, meanwhile, just stares at Stan like he's suddenly turned into a completely different person, and Stan has to explain that no, I'm not a clone, I just like cars. This thing here is basically just a weird sorta car.
It's the shittiest explanation ever, but Ford takes it in stride, and they start fixing and rebuilding the perpetual motion machine. However, it ends up taking them all night, and before they know it there's other students and teachers flooding into the gym, and the college people are there, but they still keep working on the project. There's even a teacher that sees them, and sees the broken project and assumes that Stan broke the project so the teacher comes and starts berating Stan and they have to explain that they're working on it together, while continuing to fix it.
And then suddenly the college people are there, and they're asking if there's an actual project to see. And the Stan twins are like "no, BUT—" and they start explaining the machine together, with Ford going into the theoretical mathy stuff, and Stan filling in the blanks for the actual mechanics.
And the college people are listening and they let it slide, because the math is near-flawless and the mechanical portions are incredibly thorough. And then not even a week later, BOTH of the Stan twins are getting letters from West Coast Tech, saying that they BOTH got scholarships into the school, with Stan getting into their engineering program, and Ford getting into their theoretical research program. And they're both super excited, because they can both do what they like and they won't have to be separated.
And the Wonder Twins go to West Coast Tech together!
the voices are talking again and they have concluded on the random idea of -- Tf 141: Transformers AU but they're like Cade Yeager and you're Tessa Yeargar (this is gonna be more on the found family genre, ok?)
Imagine the setting is based on the movie "Age of Extinction"
The four are just strugglin' to make ends meet as country-side mechanics out in the wild west. They could barely feed each other, living by each passing pay they could scrape together with all the odd jobs they pick up on the side. From mowing lawns, fixing plumbing, working in construction, double timing shifts at groceries and mechanic shops-- they do all this to support their family. To put food on their table.
And to make sure you get to live a comfortable life.
Yes, you-- the infamously adopted daughter of those gay couple at the corner of town. Clearly they're relationship status was viewed in poor taste by the townsfolk (those stubborn traditionalists) and in return, you were often associated with that status and unjustly judged for it.
School was always shit, a pain to go to and see-- but you needed to do it. Needed to finish it and graduate.
Not just because you're ass was on the line if you didn't, but you wanted to go to college for engineering. You were inspired by your dads (and secretly wanted to make them proud) and worked closely with them whenever they would coop up in their 'man-cave' (aka their working barn but they hang out there often too, so they resolve to calling it that.)
Day-in and day-out, you would help them after doing homework, helping some left over clean-up work they had to do before cooking dinner and sharing a couple of beers in front of a televised game. Once you were sure that they were all conked-up and snoring, sometimes, you would sneak into their garage and grab some of their old inventions-- trying to replicate them without any of their blueprints and study the purpose behind it. You would do this in your own personal workshop with your prized car that you fixed up yourself (and sometimes used in the drag car races.)
Hence, in similar fashion, you work as hard as them and in return, they try their best to support you-- with the only thing holding them back is the point that you might be away from them.
The best engineering college is states away and they just can't see why you can't just attend the college they have nearby, and still live with them to cut on costs on rent and other daily necessities.
But to their frustrations, you were just as stubborn as them (you were raised by them after all) and wouldn't back down from that argument. It wasn't like it was sure-ball guarantee you were going to leave-- what if you really sucked and that top league university doesn't take you? So, to you, they were just unnecessarily worrying for something that might not even happen in the first place.
Until... it does.
You're days awaiting for your graduation date and just fulfilling some left over requirements your school does for the students at the end of the year. You've started picking up on your side-hustle of also becoming a mechanic (and a secret drag racer at the side) at the car dealer and their mechanic shop, hoping to earn as much as you can for whatever fate has dealt in her cards for you.
These men are antsy.
They could feel the date coming closer and closer and either side had not come to a compromise on what you would do.
Until they see it.
That dreaded fucking mailman on a rickety old bike, their daily papers and some envelopes in his hand as he slots it in their old- but automatic- mailbox. When he looks up, the mailman sweats profusely, seeing all their pointed glares aimed at him, and just as he was about to pedal away-- a dog (Riley) chases after him like its his routine yet he still screams and bikes away.
Though he goes faster than before once he sees the dog actually jump over the fence this time.
All of them huff out a chuckle before Soap decides to grab the mail with Gaz giving him a quick smooch on his shaved off head in thanks while the other three of them go back to working out the old mobile their neighbor wanted fixed up.
Yet this gets interrupted by the most horrific scream Johnny lets out, making them whip their heads to the noise and immediately make their way to him.
And there they see, in his trembling hand, the letter.
In bright bold font behind the transparent section of the envelope, it says...
"Congratulations for being accepted."
Sadly, this news never reached you, no matter how much you pried for it. Seeing in your email that the letter was in transit and should be on the way soon, but still-- there was no news.
And the four men they call themselves cannot muster the courage to break this to you in fear that you would leave them.
Although this stone is left unturned when the truck- that Ghost found in an old theater his friend asked him to fix-up, became a fucking autobot in their barn.
Chaos ensues just like the plot of the movie.
They learn of your drag racing driving skills from the 'boyfriend' that saved you guys before getting picked off by the black ops unit of the CIA- the Cemetery Wind (or in this case, the Shadow Company) led by Philipp Graves.
Your boyfriend, being Alex Keller, a top race car driver that actually trained you and cleaned up your skills as a driver, which he was thankful at the moment when you proceed to pull out moves that crashed the other cars behind you and lose them in the explosion that helped you get off the grid for a moment.
The four men don't know what's worse now.
You not agreeing with them in your choice of college or you keeping a secret boyfriend from them under their nose-- and they have to see HIM cuddle up with YOU- THEIR PRECIOUS DAUGHTER?
Yeah, that's not gonna happen.
So, the whole time, they're trying to keep you away from each other-- and it was quite easy with four bodyguards orbiting around you 24/7.
All the while, you guys plan with Optimus to meet up with the rest of the Autobots to infiltrate the headquarters of K.S.I. after discovering that the company behind the attacks on the autobots. You had no choice but to accompany your family, you didn't trust them to keep themselves safe so you were gonna keep them in check-- with your boyfriend, of course.
On the other side of this story (for the other characters), Shepherd (in place of Joshua Joyce as the CEO) is the great big antagonist that helps rebuild Galvatron while in kahoots with Graves to forward their plan of improving the world through the use of the 'seed.'
Laswell, for this role, was the secretary of Shepherd-- but after the attack of their headquarters, gets in contact with the Optimus crew and offers her aid and connections to over turn the corrupted tide that was surely going to end their world.
The boys are obviously hesistant, but once she proves her information to be correct once she showed the company's plans on Galvatron-- they knew they needed her to accomplish it.
And so the plot continues as per the movie with its own sprinkle of excitement (once i build this in my drafts lol)
Welp, that was my word vomit for today-- you can find my masterlist here!
«-Yesterday | Day 2-»
You'd moved to the city to attend uni, but you made sure to come home every year for the week-long Halloween Festival. By now your professors and friends were used to you disappearing around the spooky season, and there were never any objections to you attending lectures remotely so long as you continued to work on assignments and homework.
For as long as you could remember, Halloween had always been your favourite holiday. So living in a quaint town well-known for being "modernly medieval" and for the Halloween Festival held there every year was like a dream come true. If you didn't have a wish to pursue further education on your path to becoming a lawyer, you might've stayed there your whole life.
This year, however, was off to quite a different start. As you pulled your sputtering blue Mustang convertible onto the gravelly shoulder of the road, you wondered how the hell you would ever make it into town. It was the first day of the Festival and there wasn't much traffic. Most people came early so they could enjoy the entirety of the week without the energy lag from travelling.
As you were pondering your options, the sound of a car engine coming towards you grabbed your attention. Praying the driver would be kind and not an asshole, you stepped out of your car, beginning to wave as soon as the black Camaro came into sight. To your great relief, the driver pulled over when they saw your frantic gestures.
The door opened and a tall raven-haired male unfolded long limbs as he slid out. He was absolutely gorgeous, his smile wide and infectious as he loped over to you with something akin to excitement in his steps. He made you think of a giant puppy as you watched him approach.
"Car trouble?" He asked, voice husky.
You nodded. "I felt a bump like I drove over something about a quarter mile back, but there wasn't an animal or anything in the road so I just assumed I rolled over some object that flew out of another car and went on. Now I'm worried that whatever it was may have hit something underneath."
The man's smile widened. "Well you're in luck! I happen to work part-time as a mechanic and I brought my tools with me, so I'll just pop under there and see if I can figure out what's wrong."
Relief flooded through you and you were finally able to return his smile.
"Name's Jeong Yunho, by the way."
"I'm Kim Y/N. Nice to meet you Yunho. I really appreciate this."
Yunho waved a hand dismissively as he retrieved his tools and lowered himself to the asphalt. "I'm just glad I could help."
As Yunho began to work you leaned against the side of your car, watching him intently.
"So what brings you down this way?" You asked curiously. "Are you here for the Festival?"
"More or less." Yunho replied, grunting. "In addition to being a mechanic, I also work part-time as an engineer. I have a standing job at the Festival every year to make sure the rides stay in top condition all week long. But even if I didn't have this job I'd still come down every year, since this is where I grew up."
Your eyes widened with excitement, finally figuring out why his name had seemed familiar. It had been ages since you last met one of your childhood friends. "You used to live here too?"
Yunho poked his head out the side of your car, recognition flooding his handsome features. "Oh my God, Y/N! I thought your name sounded familiar, but I told myself I was just imagining things." He smiled broadly. "I'd hug you, but I don't think you want grease and oil all over your nice clothes."
You giggled. "I appreciate the consideration."
It didn't take much longer for Yunho to finish by examining your car, the two of you catching up on each other's lives. Once he was out from under your car, you put the key in the ignition and turned it, letting out a joyous cry as the engine roared to life.
Yunho offered to follow you to the Festival in case anything else happened, and you accepted. Upon arriving, the two of you were about to part ways when you invited him to have dinner with you once he was done working for the day. He agreed, and you told him where you'd be staying before waving goodbye.
After Yunho left you checked into your room at the inn and then wandered around, trying out some of the rides and grabbing lunch before approaching the large tower-like building that held the magical haunted house. This was probably your favourite attraction, hands down. It was created with wild Fae magic, offering eight different levels for all who entered. The magic also remembered what levels each person had completed, so you never had to repeat the same experience twice. Really, they were more like horror-themed escape rooms than bonafide haunted house experiences. Taking a deep breath, you pushed the door open and stepped in.
It was pitch dark save for the outside light coming through the open door. In that light you discovered a flashlight, which you happily picked up. As soon as you did so, the door slammed shut behind you. And so it begins, you thought excitedly as you turned the flashlight on and began to examine your surroundings.
You were in some kind of basement, bits of trash all over the dirty floor along with what looked like an old briefcase. Moving forward, you picked up the briefcase and looked it over carefully. You found a numerical padlock keeping it shut and set it back where you found it, making a mental note to keep your eyes peeled for a five digit code.
Further exploration revealed a desk on which were several notes spattered with a dark substance that could have been either blood or something equally unpleasant. You examined them carefully but found no important information, just stuff pertaining to the backstory of the level.
In the back of the room was a wall covered with graffiti. That was odd, since there were no marks anywhere else in the room. Closer examination revealed a blacklight on a stand, and an idea came to mind. Dragging the blacklight around so it was aimed at the wall, you turned it on. Amongst the jumble of paint was the distinct image of five numbers, most likely the code to unlock the briefcase. Repeating the numbers under your breath, you made your way back to the briefcase and put them in. An audible click echoed through the room and you let out a quiet cry of joy.
Inside the briefcase was a large metal key and an odd triangle-shaped artefact made of some smooth material you didn’t recognize. You pocketed both objects and began searching for a door, assuming the key you’d obtained would get you out of this room. As you were walking you suddenly heard a deep, rumbling growl and froze, doing your best to remain motionless in the hope that whatever was in here with you would lose interest and return to wherever it came from.
The tapping of claws against the hard floor reached your ears, coming slowly closer. You regulated your breathing, praying that you were being quiet enough. Heavy, guttural breathing sounded from directly behind you as your heart pounded a staccato beat against your ribcage. Please, just move on. There’s nothing interesting here. Something wet nudged at the back of your knee and you bit your lip to keep from squealing at the disgusting sensation. A massive tongue licked a stripe up your leg and you dug your teeth further into your lips.
A whistle echoed from somewhere above you and the creature turned, bounding toward the sound with thudding steps that shook the ground slightly. When silence reigned once more you exhaled shakily, releasing some of the tension in your body. Locating a fairly clean rag you’d seen earlier, you wiped the creature’s saliva off your leg and resumed your search for the door to the next room. Your leisurely attitude had vanished with the reminder that this was no walk in the park, you needed to get out of here fast before the creature or its master found you.
Determined, you looked around quickly and found the door within minutes. You pulled the key from your pocket and tried it. It slid in and turned without issue, taking a little more of the tension away. You cautiously pushed the door open and stepped into a much brighter room, sunlight streaming through large glass windows. From the opulence of your surroundings you guessed you were in a mansion of some sort, probably a cover for whatever horrors went on in this place. As quietly as possible, you approached the first door you could immediately see and checked if it was locked. It wasn’t, and you tiptoed into the room.
This was a bedroom, possibly the master suite but you couldn’t be sure. On the dresser was a large, golden key with intricate carvings. You quickly pocketed it and resumed looking around.
Aside from the key, the bedroom was pretty empty, so you stepped out and approached the next door. This one was locked, so you tried the gilded key you'd found. The lock clicked and you were in.
You were in what appeared to be an office. A door at the back of the room caught your eyes and you went to open it. Revealed was a set of stairs going down, probably back to the basement. You closed the door back, no way you were going into that hellhole a second time. Searching the rest of the room proved fruitless, and you moved on.
You now stepped into the lobby, the front doors calling you enticingly. Pulling the golden key from your pocket, you eyed it curiously. To hell with it, you decided. Approaching the front doors you inserted the key and turned it. The doors swung open and bright white light filled the area, blinding you.
You stepped back out onto the grounds of the festival, lower lip extended in a slight pout. You'd hoped to see more of the level before leaving, but your curiosity got the better of you as usual.
You'd clearly been in there for a while, the sun was nearing the horizon and many of the attractions were turning their lights on.
"Having fun?" Came a voice from behind you.
Startled, you jumped and whirled around. Yunho stood there, a lopsided grin on his face.
"I didn't scare you, did I?" He teased.
You stuck your tongue out at him, making him chuckle. "I did the first level of the haunted house, so I'm still slightly on edge."
“Understandable. You ready for dinner?”
As if on cue, your stomach growled loudly and both of you laughed.
“I’ll take that as a yes.” Yunho said, still chuckling a little.
The two of you began to walk, making your way back to the inn you were staying at. Once in the small restaurant area, you made your orders and chose a place to sit. Once the food arrived you dug in, silence reigning for a bit as both of you enjoyed your meals.
When both plates were empty, you looked up at Yunho and grinned. “We sure enjoyed that, didn’t we?”
He nodded, returning your grin.
Before either of you could say anything more, a server approached and announced that the restaurant was closing. You apologised for keeping them and asked Yunho if he wanted to talk more in your room. He agreed and the two of you went up to the second floor where your room was located.
You and Yunho talked long into the night about various memories from your childhood and where some of your friends went after you both left. Somewhere along the way the conversation came to crushes and past relationships, and Yunho casually dropped a rather shocking bit of information.
“I’ve had a crush on you since like eighth grade, I think. Still do, as a matter of fact.”
You stared at him in surprise as your brain processed what he’d just said. You’d had a crush on him for just as long, but you never in your life imagined he might’ve returned those feelings. “So have I.” You admitted.
You gazed at each other in silence for a moment, then Yunho leaned toward you a bit and murmured “Y/N, may I kiss you?”
“Please.” You whispered, hands coming up to grasp his shoulders as your lips met and bliss exploded throughout your body.
One large hand tangled in your hair, while the other spanned at least half of your waist. You clung to his shoulders for dear life as fireworks went off behind your closed eyelids. He deepened the kiss, and it felt like he was trying to swallow you whole as he gently tugged you closer until you were sitting in his lap. You shifted, wrapping your legs around him as you tried to get impossibly closer. After what felt like years you parted for air, a string of saliva linking you together.
You yanked at the buttons on his shirt as desire rose within you, a sudden want that was almost crippling in its intensity. Shaking hands hindered your efforts and Yunho’s long fingers stopped you.
“Impatient, aren’t we?” He inquired. You whined, and he chuckled. “Patience, love. You’ll get what you want in due time.” Pulling the shirt over his head in one smooth motion, you felt a shiver go straight to your core at the sight of his toned body. You busied yourself running your hands all over his skin, mapping every line of corded muscle you could find and stopping only to lift your arms when Yunho removed your blouse.
“Like what you see, love?” He asked, a coy smirk on his face.
“Yes, very much.” You moaned out as he dragged his thumbs over your nipples, each touch resulting in a jolt of pleasure that heightened your desire to almost a fever pitch. You needed him inside you yesterday, and you made sure he knew it.
“Please, Yun-ah, need you…can’t wait!”
“Easy now, my love. Just a little longer.”
Tenderly he laid you back onto the bed and you relished in how small you felt as his large frame hovered over you. He made short work of your pants and underwear, eyes widening as he took in just how wet you were. “Look at you, soaked already and I’ve barely even done anything.”
He slid two fingers into you, the long digits brushing your sweet spot and drawing a porn-worthy moan out of you. He added a third and you jolted a little, unused to the stretch but not in pain.
Yunho’s gaze darkened with desire as he continued to work his fingers inside you, curling them just right. The sensation was overwhelming, your body arching off the bed in response to his expert touch. Each thrust of his fingers sent waves of pleasure coursing through you, igniting your nerves and leaving you gasping for more.
“Y/N, you feel incredible,” he murmured, his voice low and sultry. “I can’t wait to feel you wrapped around me.” The promise in his words sent a thrill through your core, tightening the knot of desire that was building inside you.
“Yunho, please… I can’t take it anymore.” You whined, desperately seeking his lips with yours again. The kiss was a feverish clash of tongues and teeth, a collision of passion that made your head spin.
Withdrawing his fingers, Yunho leaned back, his eyes locking onto yours, igniting an unspoken understanding between you. “I want you to tell me at once if anything hurts, okay?” You nodded and he positioned himself between your legs, his broad shoulders framing your body perfectly, and you couldn’t help but appreciate how tiny he made you feel. “Just relax, love. I’ve got you.”
“Please, I need you!” You begged, squirming beneath him, your body craving him. He nodded slowly, a teasing smile playing on his lips as he leaned forward, teasingly brushing against your entrance with the tip of his thick length.
“Such a good girl.” He praised softly, his fingertips ghosting over your clit as he leaned even closer, ready to enter you.
When he finally pressed inside you, it was blissful torture. He filled you to the brim, stretching you out in a way that sent sparks of pleasure radiating from your core. You let out a cry of sheer delight, your body clenching around him instinctively.
“Fuck, Y/N!” He growled, pushing deeper as he held your gaze, his expression a mix of lust and admiration. “You’re so fucking perfect. Such a sweet, tight little cunt and it's all mine.”
You moaned at that, body trembling with arousal as the filthy words tumbled from his lips.
He started moving, slowly at first, allowing you to adjust to his size. The stretch felt incredible, and you were all too aware of how small you felt compared to him. Each thrust was deep and deliberate, sending waves of pure ecstasy crashing over you.
“Yunho!” You gasped, your nails digging into his shoulders as the pleasure built higher. He picked up his pace, his body slamming into yours with relentless force.
“Let go for me, my love. I want to feel you cum around me,” he commanded, and that sent you over the edge. Your body responded to his words, the coil within you snapping as you arched your back and let out a scream of pleasure.
“Yunho! Oh my god!” You cried, your body convulsing around him as wave after wave of pleasure crashed over you. You could feel the heat of your orgasm pulsing through your veins, every nerve ending igniting in ecstasy.
“That’s it, Y/N,” he urged, his voice dripping with lust. His pace increased, driving you deeper into the haze of pleasure. “Just like that. You feel so good wrapped around me like this.”
He continued to move inside you, your sensitive body still trembling from your first orgasm when the familiar tension began to build again. The way he held you, his large hands gripping your hips, made you feel both safe and completely consumed by desire.
“Yunho, I’m close again!” You whimpered, lost in the intensity of the moment as he chased his own release.
“Then let go, baby. Cum for me again.”
With one final thrust, he found your sweet spot again, and it sent you spiralling over the edge for the second time. You screamed his name, a high-pitched sound filled with pure ecstasy as you felt your body tighten around him, a second orgasm washing over you in waves that left you breathless and shaking.
“Y/N!” Yunho groaned, his own release following closely behind as he buried himself deep inside you, filling you completely.
You both took a moment to collect yourselves, the room filled with the sounds of your heavy breaths and soft whimpers as you rode out the waves of pleasure. As the world slowly came back into focus, Yunho collapsed beside you, pulling you close against him.
“You’re amazing,” he whispered, pressing a kiss to your forehead with a satisfied smile on his face. And as you lay there in the aftermath, feeling cherished in his embrace, you couldn’t help but agree. You snuggled up to Yunho, enjoying the warmth of his body as he curled around you and held you close. You drifted off to sleep with a content smile on your face.
how (not) to survive academic invalidation
park gunwook x reader
hahahha...
using the american hs system bcs wow! im american... (i half wrote this at the end of last school yr so)
warnings: swearing, self-deprecation (obv), yn hits themself, angst with a bit of fluff at the end, reader is actually smart but surrounds themself with geniuses.
2.6k words
________________________________
# 1 dont compare yourself
"junior year kicks everyones ass." you wanted to kick whoever said that ass. not only was the school work kicking your ass, your friends and classmates seemed to be doing just fine.
they were working on ap chemistry minus laura and gunwook who were working on ap environmental science, and you, who took neither of those classes, felt extremely out of place, doing your ap us history homework.
"whats species richness again?" laura asked gunwook, who quickly answered her question. you looked up, planning to ask the soon-to-be early graduate a question, only to see him helping sarah with a chemistry problem.
you weren't like them and you despised that. your friends were top of the class, an average of a 4.4 gpa, an early graduate (and first in the 2024 class overall) and there you sat with your measly 3.75. they were in 3-4 ap classes, and you sat there, struggling through your 2. (in your defense, ap lang and apush are the two hardest aps juniors could take).
you didnt excel in any way shape or form. they had just about an a in every class (minus ryan in french, who had a b), and a b was your most common grade.
a good 10 minutes later you had finished struggling through apush, you moved on to mandarin. you were the only one who took mandarin, everyone else opting for french. the characters jumbled your brain as your friends spoke in french, seemingly coming easy to them.
you heard footsteps walk by, and ricky laid a hand on your shoulder, looking over. "thats wrong." he said simply. the french kids careened their necks to look at you. he grabbed your pencil and wrote the right character, then walked away. you hummed as you circled the characters you didnt know, opting to ask zhang hao over bothering ricky again.
"you ok over there?" gunwook asked. you scowled.
"i dont understand why there are so many idioms! im losing my goddamn mind." parker laughed, mumbling that you chose the language. you couldnt (or didnt want to) voice your doubts as you thought you could.
as they focused their attention on their homework again, you waved over zhang hao, who hanbin had asked to help cut fruits for you and your friends. he set down a plate in front of you, then sat down.
"what does 开夜车 mean zhang hao please im gonna kill myself." he laughed as hanbin looked up, extremely concerned.
"you know 熬夜, right?" you nodded "so its kind of like that but youre doing work. it literally means burn the midnight oil" you thanked him as he patted your head, pulling the plate of fruit away from your friends and toward you, gunwook making a sound of discontent.
you sighed, packing up your bag at a text from your oldest brother. he was home from his masters program in germany, apparently, and was now waiting outside the dorm. you loved your older brothers, you really did, but they were so much smarter than you ever will be. the oldest graduated magna cum laude from mit, now achieving an accelerated masters for mechanical engineering, and the younger was attending harvard for premed, both completely full ride.
your friends, finally re-noticing you, looked up. "where are you going?" gunwook asked, shushing yujin.
"brothers here," you mumbled, not wanting to wreck your self-esteem any more than you had. sarah pouted, but nodded, whipping out her phone. gunwook opened his mouth, but then quickly closed it. "bye hao, thanks for the help. bye, hanbin and jiwoong!" the three oldest members waved back, hanbin hugging you as you walked by. when you got in your fathers' car that your brother was driving, you spilled your guts.
# 2 dont fall behind
at some point, your motivation fell through. all you wanted to do was lie down and stare at the ceiling all day. sadly though, education laws (and school rules) prevailed.
as you trudged up the stairs from last lunch to pre-calculus, you cursed the architects of the three-floor building and whoever required you to go to school.
two of your friends—laura and ryan—had junior priv, which meant they left early. sarah and coral (who had missed the study session) were in ap chem, and gunwook left for a shoot. without your friends to motivate you to work harder, you felt there was nothing left for you to do.
you had fallen asleep in mandarin earlier that day, so why were you still exhausted?
quick answer: you had stayed up late finishing your apush bonus points.
actual answer: you had no motivation to do anything.
you were falling behind on homework: what used to be doing homework as soon as you got home turned into doing it right before class. a teacher had approached your freshman-year english teacher about it, the one teacher who you could talk easily to. yujin was standing right there; they mustve not have realized you two knew each other.
ricky and zhang hao had invited you over for a cdrama binge session. (ricky said "itll help you" in his texts.) but yujin quickly pulled you aside.
"youre falling behind?" he asked, pointedly. you sighed, nodded, opening your mouth to reply as gunwook walked by, asking what you were doing.
"nothin! ricky and hao invited me over." the words rushed out, and they were so not convincing, but gunwook shrugged and moved to sit down beside ricky and gyuvin. you hushed yujin and walked over and sat down beside hao. gunwook stared at you.
"come here." he motioned, shoving ricky off the couch. you hesitated as you made eye contact ricky, but eventually, there were only so many thumps against the couch you could take. "see? more comfortable over here" you hit him, and he let out a yelp.
"do you have much homework, yn?" taerae asked, setting down a bowl of popcorn.
"only a couple of classes," you replied, shoving a kernel in your mouth.
matthew laughed, "the usual suspects, im guessing?" you nodded. gunwook threw a (toned) arm around you as the two chinese members debated the drama.
"how much have you done? its sunday." gunwook asked, lightly, rubbing circles on your arm with his thumb.
"i can do it all tonight and tomorrow." you sighed, the sentence reminding you of where you are in school. gunwook hummed.
"make sure you get sleep, though. you need sleep, its not healthy if you dont." fuck. you were in deep shit in two ways. you were falling deeper into your rut, and you were falling deeper in love with your childhood best friend.
# 3 dont be too hard on yourself
...was easier said than done. your mind cursed you every time you got a bad grade. you wondered what was the point: you werent good enough to get into the likes of yale, or any of your colleges for that matter.
you had long since fallen off the ladder. it had injured you your 8th-grade year, and every attempt to climb back to where you were or any pushing from a 3rd party proved futile, as you only slipped and fell back down again.
the sat was fast approaching, and every practice test you did was never where you wanted them to be. every stupid math problem you got wrong brought a punch to your head. you had called gunwook, only realizing when he didnt pick up that he was in a shoot. panicked, you hung up before the voicemail. when he called you back (10 times with his members also calling you), you opted to ignore it. it was getting late, anyhow, and you had to go in early for apush in the morning.
apush lab made you want to kill yourself. sarah sat next to you, but everything always seemed to favor her. the quizzes, the teacher. it was unfair, really. american history was supposed to be your thing. so why were you struggling? after lab, sarah asked you what was wrong. "gunwook had called us in a panic because you didn't pick up." you shook your head, lying through your teeth.
"i had a question, but then passed the fuck out like 5 minutes later." sarah laughed and nodded, saying she was glad you got proper sleep, mumbling something about the aforementioned friend. when you asked, she waved you off, the man himself standing outside your classroom. he swung an arm around you as sarah walked in the opposite direction to her next class. he asked you the same thing. you lied to him too, but he looked less convinced. he didnt press you further, though, as you two began to walk down the stairs to your creative writing workshop—a senior elective you had begged your guidance counselor to take. gunwook took it to fill spots in his schedule.
the teacher loved him. as did everyone. you wondered if you could ever experience that. your oldest friend was everything you weren't and it was a point of contention inside your mind. you cursed yourself that you were nothing like him. gunwook nudged you in the middle of class when you were given an opportunity to work, asking what was wrong.
"i know thats not why you called me and then didn't pick up. you're also in your head right now." he pointed out, softly. you hummed, scribbling down something in your notebook.
"i just... i had a question but it was stupid. i figured it out." he looked at you pointedly, a look that told you to tell him the truth. "seriously! im ok!" he nodded, grabbing your hand for a squeeze.
# 4 do your best
you were nervous. ok nervous was an understatement. you rocked from heel to toe as you awaited the announcement that the doors were open. your friends chattered nervously around you. for them, this was the first time they were taking the sat. this was your second. you had gotten a 1340 on your first try—nowhere near where you wanted it to be. your brothers had gotten 1600 and 1590, respectively.
you were on call with all your friends the night before, gunwook coaching you guys through certain questions. he had texted you, (only you, but you didnt know that) wishing you luck. ricky and zhang hao had wished you luck as well.
everything seemed like bricks in your bag. it was only a couple of things—a computer, for the digital sat, a pencil, a calculator, a water bottle, and a banana. but it felt like you had hundreds of textbooks in your bag for no reason at all.
the doors swung open, and you rushed up to your assigned room. the setup was a blur, and the reading section seemed to be so too. during the break, your friends voiced similar opinions. then, during math, you began to struggle. somewhere along the way, though, gunwook popped into your head. you dont know if it was because you wanted to make him proud, or you didnt want to disappoint your oldest friend and crush, but it worked. you powered through module 1 and 2, module 2 being the toughest one by far.
when the results came back two weeks later, you waited with baited breath as your friends skipped class with you to check all of your scores. gunwook held your hand as you refreshed the page.
"i dont want to look." you said, hiding your face in his chest.
"ill look for you." he mumbled into your hair, scrolling down. you felt him smile into the crown of your head, "i knew you could do it, sweetheart." you looked, and a big glaring 1590 stared back at you.
"wook!! holy shit a 1590!!" you wrapped your arms around him, squeezing him tight.
# 5 talk about it
you sat with your friends and the members as you awaited gunwook's family's arrival. gunwook smiled from his seat on the gymnasium floor, holding up his phone. almost on instinct, you all checked your own.
wook🩵: this'll be you guys next year. ill be up there watching you all.
sarah burst in to tears. laura full on sobbed, and ryan and carols eyes were brimming with tears. as you read the text again and again, you got a separate text.
wook🩵: i'm proud of you y'know? i saw you struggling a bit at the end there but you made it through. i love you, yn. im glad to call you my friend.
i love you i love you i-
"hey yn sweetheart!" gunwooks mom sat next to you. his brother waved, and his father gave you a curt nod.
"hi. you guys must be excited." his mom laughed, nodding, then shoving your shoulder.
"im more excited about something else." you opened your mouth to ask her what, but the ceremony started
giving gunwook his graduation flowers made him blush. he shook his head. "do you not like them, wook? i thought theyre your favorites." he shook his head again, dropping the flowers into his mom's hands, grabbing your face.
"you are clueless, yknow that? i gave you so many hints. everyone knows." when you asked him what he meant, "yn, you didnt think id notice you putting yourself down? you know i cant fucking stand that. sorry mom. it kills me that the love if my life doesnt realize how fucking amazing they are, and it kills me that they dont realize that im in love with them." at this point, you dont know what you were doing. because gunwook was confessing to you that he both likes you and that he knows about your self-deprication. so now, surrounded by friends and seniors, gunwooks family and members, you kissed him.
it wasnt like anything you had imagined. your first kiss, you mean. peering seniors were waved off by shouts from matthew and gunwooks brother—both burly enough that even the biggest varsity football players would shrink away.
gunwook smiled on your lips as your friends cheered amongst themselves. you heard a loud "闭嘴!" from zhang hao to what you presume was ricky chatting with the senior mandarin class. when you broke off, gasping for air, gunwook tore off his graduation gown, pushing it onto his poor unsuspecting leader. he grabbed your arm, and the two of you sprinted as fast as you could.
out the gymnasium doors, out back by the cafeteria, through the back-woods path. he stopped when he was sure no one would follow him.
"so whats going on? with the whole." he gestured to your head. you knew what he meant, so you nodded. you told him everything, how you compared yourself to everyone, especially your friends and brothers, you were falling behind, your motivation was close to 0, and you never really believed that you could do it. he was quiet for a while. you knew he was trying to find the right words.
you wanted to cry, or throw up, probably both. it felt like the trees and the birds and your boyfriend? were judging you. but gunwook just apologized, for not noticing sooner, for not knowing how to help. you shook your head, tears threatening to fall, but he shook his too.
"no, no, im your best friend, yn, i need to be here for you. im serious, you have people to rely on, you dont have to shoulder this all by yourself." the tears threatening to fall were not a threat anymore, and the dam broke. gunwook grabbed the back of your head, pulling you into a hug.
AO3 Link For Chapter
Hunter watched as you talked animatedly to Tech, your hands moving around with every word you spoke, and occasionally Tech would glance up from his datapad to respond to you.
The blue lights of hyperspace always seemed to contrast your skin and energy perfectly. Hunter couldn't help but smile as he observed you interacting with Tech. Your enthusiasm was infectious, and even though he couldn't hear the specifics of your conversation over the ship's hum, he could tell you were engaged. He leaned against the bulkhead, arms crossed, content to watch you for a moment longer.
Omega, perched nearby, glanced at Hunter and then at you with a mischievous grin. "You know, Hunter, if you keep staring like that, everyone's going to figure out that you've got a soft spot for her."
Hunter raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. "I don't know what you're talking about, Omega."
She rolled her eyes. "Sure, sure. Just like you didn't know how to fix that engine last week until she showed you."
Hunter's lips twitched into a half-smile. "She's resourceful. Knows her stuff."
Omega nodded knowingly. "Uh-huh. And you're just really interested in her knowledge of ship mechanics, right?"
“Well, she is a mechanic.” Hunter responded.
You had been originally working with Rex, helping him with small things like fixing his ship and piloting it. But then when you had met the squad and Omega, you couldn’t help but feel a bit of pity for the boys who knew nothing about women.
And while they were doing a fine job of taking care of Omega, you knew that it wouldn’t hurt for you to give them a helping hand.
“Yeah, but all you needed to do was connect some wires, which I’ve seen you do on your own before.” Omega shot back, taking a seat next to Hunter.
"Yeah, well, maybe I just enjoy her company," Hunter countered with a playful smirk, his gaze flickering towards where you were still engrossed in conversation with Tech.
Omega snickered, nudging Hunter's arm. "Sure, sure. Company. Right."
Hunter chuckled softly, shaking his head. "She's just easy to talk to, that's all."
Omega's grin widened mischievously. "And she's not bad to look at either, right?"
"Omega," Hunter warned, trying to hide his amusement.
"She's like sunshine on this ship," Omega continued, unabashed. "Always bringing a smile to everyone's face. Even Crosshair cracks a grin when she's around."
Hunter nodded in agreement, his expression softening as he watched you. "She's got a way about her. Makes things feel lighter."
Omega leaned closer, lowering her voice conspiratorially. "So, when are you going to make a move?"
Hunter sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I don't know, Omega. It's complicated."
"Complicated how?" Omega pressed, genuinely curious.
"It's just... timing, I guess," Hunter explained vaguely. "We've got a lot going on right now."
Omega rolled her eyes. "There's always something going on. You can't keep waiting forever."
Hunter glanced at Omega, grateful for her straightforwardness. "I know."
"Just don't take too long," Omega advised, nudging him again. "You might miss your chance." Omega stood up, skipping into the cockpit where you and Tech were. “Starry! Can you help me with my homework?”
Tech adjusted his goggles, “your homework is your homework, you are supposed to do it on your- ”
You scoffed, standing up and patting Tech’s shoulder, “want to do flashcards? Or a pop quiz? I can give you some tricks on how to remember Imperial ships.” You asked Omega, cutting off Tech’s sentence.
Omega grinned mischievously, jumping at the chance to avoid her homework. "Ooh, tricks? Like what?"
You leaned in conspiratorially, glancing over your shoulder to make sure Hunter wasn't listening too closely. "Alright, here's a tip. The Imperial Star Destroyers? Think of them like giant flying triangles with a gazillion guns. If you imagine them like that, you'll never forget."
Tech, ever the factual one, chimed in with his usual precision. "Actually, their geometric structure adheres more closely to a quadrilateral than a triangle, and their armament- "
You interrupted with a playful eyeroll. "Tech, I'm trying to simplify things here, not go into architectural specifications."
Omega giggled, clearly enjoying the banter between you and Tech. "You make learning fun, Starry."
Tech adjusted his goggles, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Indeed. Your educational methods are unconventional but effective."
Hunter observed the exchange with a fond smile, leaning against the wall nearby. "See? I told you she's good with them."
Omega nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, she's way better than Crosshair at explaining stuff."
Hunter chuckled. "Well, Crosshair's got other talents."
You grinned, feeling a warmth spread through you at the camaraderie. It had been a few months since you joined the squad, and despite the challenges and dangers, moments like these made it feel like you were part of a makeshift family.
---
After completing their mission for Cid, which was just recovering some sort of chest, you and Omega sat in the parlor while the guys gave the chest to Cid and received the payment.
Echo, Wrecker, and Crosshair stood around the chest, engaged in a serious discussion with Cid about the details of their payment. Meanwhile, you and Omega found a quiet corner to relax, away from the business dealings but still within earshot of the ongoing conversation.
Omega flopped down onto a worn-out couch, kicking her legs back and forth. "That was easy, huh? Just grab a chest and boom, job's done."
You chuckled softly, sinking into an adjacent armchair. "Sometimes the simple ones are the most satisfying. No complications, no surprises."
"Yeah, but surprises can be fun sometimes," Omega replied with a mischievous grin. "Like when Tech accidentally set off that alarm on Corellia. That was hilarious."
You grinned, recalling the incident. "Tech's face was priceless. I think he's still figuring out how he managed to activate a security protocol just by trying to hack into a data terminal."
Omega laughed, leaning back against the couch cushions. "I think Echo was about to burst a fuse trying not to laugh too hard."
The banter between you and Omega was easy, filled with shared experiences and the camaraderie of being part of the same makeshift family.
Across the room, Hunter caught your eye briefly before returning his attention to the conversation with Cid and the others. He seemed deep in discussion, his brow slightly furrowed in concentration. It wasn't lost on you how his presence anchored the group, his leadership and steady demeanor keeping them together through thick and thin.
"So," Omega began, breaking the comfortable silence between you, "what's the deal with you and Hunter?"
You raised an eyebrow, "what do you mean?"
Omega rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh, come on. You know what I mean. You two have been dancing around each other for months now."
You chuckled softly, not quite sure what Omega was talking about. You liked Hunter, but only as a friend. Though, it was quite confusing as to why your stomach seemed to flip when you were in his presence. "We're friends. Teammates."
Omega smirked knowingly. "Sure, sure. Just friends."
"It's not like that," you insisted, though a small part of you knew she was onto something. Hunter's presence had grown more significant to you over time, his protective instincts and quiet strength drawing you in despite the complications of their missions.
"Uh-huh," Omega teased, nudging your arm. "You're both hopeless."
Before you could respond, Wrecker's booming voice cut through the air as he exclaimed triumphantly, "Got the payment! Let's celebrate with some Mantell Mix!"
Echo and Crosshair exchanged amused glances, knowing Wrecker's fondness for the local snack. They joined in, laughing and teasing Wrecker as they prepared to wind down from their mission.
Hunter approached you and Omega with a small smile, his gaze lingering on you for a moment before addressing Omega. "You finish your homework?"
Omega rolled her eyes dramatically. "Yes, Starry made me do flashcards."
You chuckled, amused by Omega's playful exaggeration. "Hey, learning doesn't have to be boring."
"Tell that to Tech," Omega quipped, earning a mock glare from Tech himself as he passed by with a datapad in hand.
You noticed how Hunter rubbed his forehead and pinched the bridge of his nose. It was the beginning of an overstimulation headache, probably caused by all the shouting Wrecker did during the mission, complaining about heights.
"Hey, I think I left something on the Marauder," you said, looking up at Hunter with a sheepish smile.
Hunter's brow furrowed slightly, concern flickering in his eyes as he took in your expression. "What did you leave?"
You shrugged lightly. "Just some tools. I was fixing the comm array earlier, and I might have forgotten them."
His expression softened, and he nodded. "Alright, I'll come with you."
You led the way back through the ship, weaving between crates and equipment until you reached the Marauder's storage area. It was quieter here, away from the bustling activity in the parlor where the rest of the squad was celebrating their successful mission.
"I'll just grab them real quick," you said, stepping into the storage compartment. You rummaged through a toolbox, searching for the tools you had used earlier. It was true, you were fixing the comm array earlier, but really you just wanted to take Hunter away from the loud noises.
Hunter leaned against the wall of the ship and closed his eyes. Being away from the crowds of the inner city made his headache lessen, if only slightly.
As he stood there, taking a moment to collect himself, he heard your footsteps approaching from behind. Opening his eyes, he turned to see you with a toolbox in hand, a faint smile on your lips.
"Found them," you said, holding up the tools triumphantly. "Forgot I left them here."
Hunter nodded, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Good. Wouldn't want to leave anything behind."
You stepped closer, standing on the wall across from him. The ship's low hum filled the quiet space between you, a comforting background to the rare moment of solitude.
"Thanks for coming with me," you said softly, glancing up at him.
"Anytime," Hunter replied, meeting your gaze. There was a warmth in his eyes that sent a flutter through your chest, a feeling you tried to ignore.
The moment lingered, both of you caught in a silent exchange of unspoken thoughts and emotions. Hunter was normally composed, steady in the face of danger, but something about being alone with you seemed to soften his edges.
"You doing okay?" you asked, breaking the quiet.
"Yeah," Hunter answered, his voice low. "Just needed a moment away from all the noise."
You nodded in understanding. "I get that."
There was a pause, filled only with the sound of your breathing and the distant murmur of the celebrations continuing in the parlor. Hunter shifted slightly, his gaze flickering towards you as if searching for something.
"I understand, you know? I grew up in a small village, everyone knew each other, and it was… homely. When I went to Coruscant for school everything was so much bigger and louder than I ever thought was possible," you shared with Hunter, your voice carrying a nostalgic tone.
Hunter listened intently, his gaze softening as he took in your words. He could relate in his own way, having grown up in a vastly different environment as a soldier, where noise often meant danger or chaos. "Yeah, I get that," he replied quietly, a hint of empathy in his voice. "Must've been a big adjustment."
You nodded, a small smile playing on your lips. "It was. But I learned a lot there, too. Met people from all over the galaxy, experienced things I never would've imagined back home."
"Sounds like quite the journey," Hunter remarked, his tone warm. "What made you decide to leave the village and go to Coruscant?"
You shrugged lightly, leaning against the ship's wall. "Curiosity, I guess. But I also got into the engineering school there. It seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass up.” You adjusted the toolbox in your hand as a hydrospanner fell out of the box onto the floor.
Before you could bend down completely to grab it, Hunter did it for you. He stood up to his full height, the distance between the two of you much, much closer than before. Hunter handed you the hydrospanner as you gave him a shy smile in return and slowly grabbed it from his hand.
"Thanks," you murmured softly, feeling a subtle warmth spread through you at the proximity. Hunter's presence felt comforting, his quiet strength a contrast to the chaos of the mission and the constant hum of the ship around you.
Hunter's gaze held yours for a moment longer than necessary, and you felt a tension in the air, unspoken words hanging between you like a delicate thread. His hand lingered where yours briefly brushed against his, a fleeting touch that sent a shiver down your spine.
For a heartbeat, neither of you moved, caught in a silent exchange of emotions too complex to put into words. The ship's vibrations seemed to fade into the background, leaving only the echo of your breathing and the weight of Hunter's gaze.
You were the one who tore the gaze reluctantly, looking down at the toolbox in your hand as you placed the hydrospanner in its rightful spot. A gentle, gloved hand was placed on your jaw, as he tilted your head up.
His touch was tender yet firm, his eyes searching yours with a depth that spoke volumes. The quiet intensity between you hung in the air, unspoken words threading through the space like a fragile web.
"I..." you started, unsure of what to say, your heart pounding in your chest. Hunter's expression softened further, his thumb brushing lightly against your cheek. You felt a rush of emotions, a mix of nervousness and a strange, fluttering excitement.
Before you could gather your thoughts, Hunter leaned forward, closing the gap between you. His lips met yours in a gentle kiss, a moment of hesitation followed by a surge of warmth that spread through you. It was soft, tentative, as if testing the waters of something unspoken yet palpable between you.
Your mind raced, trying to make sense of the sudden shift in dynamics. Hunter, your teammate, your friend, was kissing you. The realization sent a jolt through your system, igniting a swirl of conflicting emotions.
Hunter pulled back slightly, his eyes searching yours for any sign of discomfort or hesitation. His hand lingered against your cheek, a silent question in his gaze.
"I..." you began again, but words failed you. Your mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, grappling with the implications of this moment. Hunter's expression was a mix of concern and something deeper, something you couldn't quite decipher.
"I want you to forget this ever happened," Hunter murmured softly, his voice barely above a whisper. His thumb traced a gentle path along your jawline, a gesture both soothing and heartbreaking.
Forget? The word echoed in your mind, conflicting with the rush of emotions coursing through you. Could you forget this moment, this kiss that seemed to unravel a tension that had been building between you for so long?
But before you could respond, Hunter's expression shifted subtly, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his features. His hand dropped to his side, breaking the connection between you.
"I'm sorry," Hunter said quietly, his voice tinged with regret. "I shouldn't have done that."
The words hung in the air, heavy with unspoken implications. You wanted to reach out, to reassure him that it was okay, that you didn't want to forget. But Hunter stepped back, putting a respectful distance between you.
“What if I don’t want to forget?” You spoke quietly, placing the toolbox down on the seat by the console.
Hunter's gaze flickered with surprise, his eyes meeting yours in a moment of uncertainty. His hand, which had dropped to his side, twitched almost imperceptibly as he processed your words. The ship's gentle hum seemed louder now, echoing the intensity of the emotions swirling between you.
"You... don't want to forget?" Hunter's voice was soft, tentative, as if he hadn't expected your response. His brow furrowed slightly, a mix of confusion and a flicker of hope crossing his features.
You nodded, your voice barely above a whisper. "No, I don't."
A myriad of emotions played across Hunter's face- relief, hesitation, and something deeper that he couldn't quite hide. He took a step closer, his expression searching yours for any sign of uncertainty.
"I shouldn't have kissed you," Hunter murmured, his voice tinged with regret. "It was... unprofessional."
"Maybe," you replied softly, your gaze meeting his with unwavering honesty, "but I'm glad you did."
Hunter's resolve wavered, his hand reaching out tentatively to brush against your cheek. His touch was gentle, a silent question lingering in the air. The warmth of his fingers against your skin sent a shiver down your spine, a rush of anticipation mingling with the lingering uncertainty.
"I... don't want things to be complicated," Hunter admitted quietly, his thumb tracing a delicate line along your jawline. "We're a team, and- ”
You cut him off by closing the rest of the distance between you two, your hands were now resting on his chest plate, which was the only thing stopping your chests brushing each other’s. “I want you to kiss me again.”
Hunter's resolve wavered, torn between duty and desire. He searched your face, seeing the honesty and longing reflected in your eyes. Without another word, he closed the distance between you, his hands gently cradling your face as his lips met yours once more.
The kiss was different this time- less tentative, more urgent, as if both of you were testing the waters of something that had been building between you for far too long. Hunter's touch was tender yet firm, his lips moving against yours with a hunger that mirrored your own.
You responded eagerly, your hands sliding up to curl around his neck, drawing him closer. The weight of his armor pressed against you, grounding you in the reality of the moment even as everything else seemed to blur around you.
As the kiss deepened, Hunter's hands tightened slightly around you, his touch seeking reassurance and offering comfort in equal measure. His breath mingled with yours, a shared heartbeat beneath the armor and the weight of duty that bound you both.
Slowly, reluctantly, you broke the kiss, your breaths mingling as you rested your forehead against his. Hunter's eyes searched yours, a mix of vulnerability and desire flickering in their depths. His hand cradled your cheek, his thumb brushing lightly across your skin.
"I..." Hunter started, his voice low and filled with unspoken words. He hesitated, searching for the right way to express what lay between you.
You placed a finger against his lips, silencing him gently. "Shh," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper. "Sometimes words complicate things. Let's just... be."
Hunter nodded, a soft smile tugging at the corners of his lips. His hand slipped from your cheek to entwine his fingers with yours, a silent promise in the touch.
˗ˏˋWhile the World Sleeps — njmˎˊ˗
0. Profiles One !
— y/n.
Major: Nursing Likes: reading, writing, being delusional on purpose, sleeping Dislikes: renjun (im joking), the smell of weed, being wrong Hobbies: does daydreaming count?
y/n’s someone who thrives off of romanticizing every single part of her life, almost to the point where her friends don’t know if she’s joking about her delusions or not—though she obviously uses these delusions to get rid of boredom. works at Nookstore with jisung. roommates with karina and giselle. tends to act before she thinks. lacks sleep because she claims that she's a night owl. just wants life to be more exciting than it currently is.
— yu jimin.
Major: Nursing Likes: flowers, cafes, being helpful, self-care Dislikes: deadlines, bedrotting Hobbies: baking, pilates
y/n’s right hand (wo)man. the one she turns to first when everything seems to be going wrong. hates deadlines despite her type-a personality. y/n’s anchor as much as y/n is her’s. often the voice of reason, if not renjun. she just wants what’s best for her best friend, so she takes care of her in return for the joy she brings her. roommates with y/n and giselle. also has a bit of crazy in her, but it takes a bit to dig it out. best best friend you could have, according to the group.
— huang renjun.
Major: Industrial/Mechanical Engineering Likes: My friends, debating, that one hot pot restaurant near campus Dislikes: Group projects, stupid people Hobbies: Painting and drawing, meditating
practically deemed the only (real) brain cell of the group. although he and y/n always tease and pick at each other, it’s all out of love—she’s almost as close to renjun as she is to karina. loves to counter anything y/n talks about in hopes of making her brain work hard. secretly very loving but won’t admit it. isn't afraid to speak out. shares an apartment with chenle. busy with schoolwork (a little more than) half the time. so very close to losing his patience (his straws are scarce).
— uchinaga aeri.
Major: Nursing Likes: blind boxes, gossip, parties Dislikes: having FOMO & being out of the loop, men Hobbies: nothing, just whatever I feel like doing that day
you know that one friend you have who knows everyone? it’s giselle—though you never really find out until you actually go out of your way to ask her about them. has a ‘if i can do it, then why not?’ mindset. very outgoing, almost too outgoing in a group almost full of extroverted introverts. roommates with y/n and karina, but very rarely at home because she's out and about doing whatever it is giselles do (if not school).
— zhong chenle.
Major: Kinesiology Likes: basketball, stephen curry <3, talking, being a supportive friend Dislikes: homework questions with multiple parts, losing (boooooo) Hobbies: basketball, playing 2k? idk
you could argue that chenle is the most extroverted of the group alongside giselle. loves it when the gc is active and tries his best to be there to contribute to whatever is going on (even if he has no clue what’s going on). plays intramural bball at the gym with his friends and cohort when it’s off-season, and then plays for the team when the season starts. generally just a ball of sunshine. everyone loves him.
— park jisung.
Major: Dance, minor in psych Likes: my lucky hat, performing, dogs Dislikes: mean people, cooking Hobbies: practicing choreo, bedrotting
finds it hard to make good friends so he only has two or three close friends if you don’t count y/n and the group. loves working at Nookstore because it’s cozy and quiet. only recently joined the group but he’s happy to be included. easily swayed. can get a lil lost but everyone’s okay with redirecting him. always means well even if his actions don't quite translate that.
✮ — m.list — next.
Another Parent
Jeff’s Dad didn’t raise him and his and Liu’s mom tried her best. But it wasn’t enough…
CW!!: parentification, trauma, abuse, neglect
it starts with sweet moments but ends depressing as hell.
It’s kinda short? I just wanted to get smthn out, yk?
A Normal Older Brother
Liu cared about Jeff so so much.
They played outside together when they could, Liu walked him to school, helped him with homework, and did everything they could for Jeff.
However, some things may not be exactly common, but not too abnormal…
When Jeff had a nightmare, he’d run to Liu’s room and shake him until he was awake. Liu would ask if he wanted to say what was in the dream and comfort him either way. Liu would offer Jeff to sleep with him, and he would cling to his older brother like his life depended on it. Meanwhile, Liu is keeping a close eye on the door… just in case he comes in.
Liu made Jeff’s lunch in the morning when Jeff was a lot younger since elementary school started much earlier than Middle School, and then the night before when Jeff started middle school. They often made breakfast, too. Their mom taught Liu how to cook since she would be out trying to make money for the family. Liu never really minded.
When Jeff was bullied or picked on, Liu was there to comfort him. She often told him not to pay attention to them, and that they’re probably just insecure.
That’s not normal…
Liu did a lot for Jeff, especially when it came to school.
When Jeff needed a field trip form signed, and their parents weren’t home, Liu would sign it. By the time those started, Jeff was 9, so Liu was 16 and allowed to sign it.
He would take Jeff to the doctor’s office, go to teacher conferences, and buy groceries.
He worked his own job as a grocery bagger. It didn’t pay much, but it was enough…
Turned down a Scholarship
It weighed on him after awhile.
When he graduated high school- he was 16 at the time- he had a full scholarship to the University of Chicago through an immigration program.
But, once he was going to go… he remembered Jeff. He couldn’t leave him there. So, he stayed. He went to Florida State and aimed for mechanical engineering.
But he never finished it. Everything fell apart and he gave up.
Peter stopped him. He scared her into not going.
An Awakening
It wasn’t until Jeff met Toby that he found out that his childhood with Liu was not normal behaviour.
Toby told him about how siblings should act, even if he couldn’t understand how he knew.
It was an odd conversation for Jeff. It made him realise just how naive he was as a kid. Just how much the signs of Liu’s suffering whooshed over his understanding.
