TANGO RAMBLES BC WHAT ELSE DO I DO ON THIS ACCOUNT??=!!?

let's get right into this. there's TONS of angles to take with the little blue ice-hearted DM Tango guy who's officially been Promoted to Evil Guy Character tm. (Since i'll just be talking about the Character & only the Dungeon Master, I'll simply refer to him as Tango. thumbs up. let's go)

The Dungeon is alive and he's somehow chained to it. Be that some sort of Curse / Contract / Smth of detriment to Tango that would force him into "serving" the Dungeon's needs & care for it (aka if he didn't, it'd have some probably fatal consequences for HIM instead.) - The Dungeon Feasts and it doesn't really care WHO its luring vessel is. Someone will always bow to their selfish desires and fall for the Dungeon's trap. (..could have some fun AU potential of the previous or following Dungeon "Masters" :3c)

The Dungeon is "alive" in a more.. symbiotic relationship way. The Dungeon itself needs souls, needs sacrifices, needs to take life to give new life to its own creatures and Tango's there to provide said life in the form of hermits. The Dungeon needs Tango to provide, and Tango just either likes the shelter it offers in return, or it's just bc yk. Seeing fellow hermits fail and die in ways he had a hand in manipulating is funny haha entertainment. - That to say that the caverns and ruins and especially the living things inside were already there, but Tango built upon and expanded upon the given environment. After all, who would be insane enough to ACTUALLY venture into the deepest depths of Warden infested, broken and dangerous mines unless there was some sort of "reward" to be had? Even if said reward is all just for a scheme of a game around it.

He's literally just an insane little scientist type who found some caverns and a bit of skulk and ITCHED for some drama and death. More of a situation where the Dungeon is literally just the structure, and Tango pulls all the strings behind the scenes. A far more "realistic" and ig, closer to canon look at it all, though I think I prefer the more magical aspects of the Dungeon... Like was he kept down there for MONTHS on end without sunlight because he was so deeply invested? Or were there more magical and more.. forceful powers at play, taking his autonomy out of the equation? Guess it depends how tortured u want that cubito to be

AU where the justice leauge creates a dimensional hopper to grab other versions of themselves in times of severe need by putting in DNA that then grabs the closest match from a given universe

They need to test it amd decide to use Nightwing's DNA because they figure he is the least likely to have an entirely evil alternate self, and they put it in and input a universe at complete random- Earth 199999 (because the MCU is NOT 616 fight me Feige) and out pops Spider-Man because he is that universes closest (alive) genetic match

Cue confusion as the JL tries to figure out why Nighwing is obviously younger, and has a completly different costume and accent and why he doesn't recognize anything until Nightwing takes his mask off and before he can even introduce himself, the entire room is stunned into silence by a choked "Dad?"

finally, all the arm and spirit abilities- for the first half of the game (rauru) and for the second half with the shiekah arm replacing links arms instead and the spirit abilities gained through ganondorf

(please excuse my handwriting and sometimes repeated info on the first two, i lost motivation/patience at the end and couldnt get myself to basically redo it all from scratch just to make it a bit more cleaner)

note, the camera rune is unconnected to the arm, its the shiekah stone copy link has (zelda carries the one from botw, a copy was attempted to be made for link but it lacks all runes except the camera, the map and its teleportation, and journal/archive)

note for the heal effects of some spirit abilities- im also reworking the healing system, making it more like the older games, so healing isnt as easy and much more restricted, thus making those effects of spirit abilities more valuable ( lil potion icon on the d pad will act a little bit like in skyward sword, opens your limited selection of healing items and if chosen link switches to holding it and letting you consume it with -a- while walking around in real time- to avoid more pausing and mass healing on regular items while in menu)

additional note, the automatic recharging of the magic meter depending on the environment gives you a reliable but less abusable way of using abilities and allows for even more creative dungeon/challenge design by using it effectively- it works by absorbing magic from its surroundings, so if its an area with little magic it recharges slower, if its a very spiritual or healthy place it will recharge faster, it can be used to make things more challenging and also as subtle storytelling (example, theres a graveyard with the magic energy around being off the charts, even if there are no spirits to see, it could hint at the people buried not having died peacefully, no matter what their gravestone says...)

the usage of magic and how much the different abilities cost also allows for a much more dynamic fighting style for players to choose and try out, balancing them all out with their cost instead of a fixed timer, and the recharging beign affected by the environment perhaps forcing players that favor high cost magic abilities to use the lower cost ones for example, or not being able to charge one up bc the enemy is too fast and doesnt give you enough time to charge it

about half of the small overworld dungeons (not shrines) are also locked/inaccessible for the first half and new quests appear as the second half commences- together with the additional changes raurus return brings with it (sonau buildings, enemies being mostly cosntructs that he summoned etc) and whole set of new abilities giving you a fresh new way to play while (hopefully) not making you feel too restricted for the first half

TRANSFORMERS PRIME RANT

content warning: discussions of physical/psychological abuse

I’m going to try to write a rant but we’ll see how good I am at stringing my words together.

I love Transformers Prime with my whole heart, particularly Starscream, and despite and because of this, I don’t like the way his character plays out in season three.

After Starscream rejoins the decepticons at the end of season two, the abuse he receives from Megatron gets way worse. Megatron physically beat Starscream quite often in season one, and as season three progresses, this treatment is on full display and gets so much worse. And these abuse scenes are genuinely horrible and upsetting. Megatron physically dominates Starscream, who is much smaller and thinner, and the show spends a lot of time emphasizing his fear and screams as Megatron beats him.

Alongside Starscream’s abuse getting worse, he also gets significant Stockholm syndrome in season three, which makes the whole situation one thousand times ickier. While in season one Starscream tried to usurp and fight back against Megatron, now he looks up to the person who is actively and regularly beating him half to death.

But there’s nothing wrong with depicting a toxic character dynamic, it’s how the narrative frames it that matters.

Starscream gets treated worse by Megatron while thinking better of him as the show goes on. And the only people we get to see this ugly situation through the eyes of are Starscream and Megatron, who both think this is fine in one way or another.

We never get to see any other character acknowledge the abusive relationship. The autobots are totally oblivious or totally uncaring that it’s happening, and you can bet the other Decepticons aren’t going to do anything about it. Even after Megatron leaves behind his goal of oppression, he shows no regret of how he’d treated Starscream, the person who he had arguably made suffer the most. He just shouts at him and makes him flinch one last time then abandons him. He continues to mistreat him then leaves him behind. Leaves behind the person who he had physically and psychologically destroyed for thousands if not millions of years. Although I don’t expect Megatron to show sympathy for Starscream, since his ‘redemption’ was just him retiring and leaving everyone else to clean up the mess he made. (I have good and bad feelings on Megatron’s ending, but I don’t want to get too sidetracked)

What matters is, without Megatron acknowledging the horribleness of the situation, and without the autobots being aware of it, the only person who can acknowledge how toxic the situation was is Starscream.

But he doesn’t get this chance. His arc ends when the Predacons beat him up for revenge.

Starscream is an abuse victim, and he is never given a chance to heal. No character, himself included, ever fully acknowledges how problematic the situation is. He is never given a chance to be powerful. Over and over again he is forced to be weak and without agency. From the start of season three to the end of the movie, his character is a slow trickle into suffering more and more, being beaten down again and again until he doesn’t get back up.

When watching the show, I was fine with the amount of frightening abuse they were depicting on screen because I thought they would have some amount of healing from it. But it just gets worse and worse until the show ends and that’s it. It just feels like abuse for the sake of abuse at this point.

But the thing is, I’m not even opposed to Starscream having a bad ending. Let me explain.

I think it makes sense after him being conniving and evil and power hungry and cruel for his actions to catch up for him, and for him to be humbled in one way or another.

The thing is, they depicted Starscream’s fall to shame without ever giving him a moment of power. There’s no climax in season three where he takes control of his life again. There’s no moment where he gets to be more than humiliated and shamed.

Starscream is a victim, and he’s an abuser as well. He treats everyone around him horribly. He is a perpetuator of the cycle of abuse, where, after being abused by Megatron and others, he started to replicate their cruelty in order to have power.

The story needed to recognize him as both an abuser and a victim. It seemed to think these cancel out. That Starscream being beat by the Predacons in the end is the consequence of his abusive actions towards others coming back to haunt him. But just as a middle school bully doesn’t deserve to go home and be bullied by their sibling, an abuser does not deserve to be abused by another person. No one deserves to be abused.

Starscream being abused doesn’t pay for his crimes. And he isn’t just being humbled for treating the predacons badly; he’s being tortured.

As an abuser, Starscream deserved to see the consequences of his actions in some way, but as a victim, Starscream deserved any kind of moment of victory.

All this to say, this isn’t about wether or not Starscream deserved to be beat by the predacons (although I maintain that we should have better mindsets about paying for our crimes than “abusers deserve abuse”). This is about the fact that he deserved to see a shred of honor before his fall as well.

This is about the fact that as an abuse victim, he is given not a shred of dignity or an acknowledgment of his pain. His descent in season three isn’t even a character arc. There’s no growth, no resolution, no rising or falling climax. Like I said before, it’s just him suffering over and over, until the series ends.

Starscream is perhaps a good, although tragic, depiction of an abuser: a character who treats others poorly until it finally catches up to him. But he is a bad and problematic depiction of a victim: someone who never gets to be seen, even by himself.

THE DAUGHTER WE WON'T RAISE (STILL WAITS FOR YOU). (Scaramouche x female reader)

; Under the blanket of starry skies, you spill your heart out to Kunikuzushi on your want of becoming a mother one day.

KUNIKUZUSHI LIKES children - he dreams of having one of his own, one day.

He shares this dream with you during a night of stargazing, laying down on a blanket and just laying next to each other - fingers brushing against each other but never intertwined.

His voice is soft, lacking its usual snark and bite, so vulnerable as he utters, "I want to have kids in the future."

He feels you shuffle next to him, but he dares not to tear his eyes away from staring at the stars. From his peripheral vision, he sees you turning to face him, which makes him nervous for some reason.

It makes his palm build up a sweat, lodge up in his throat, and make his heart race.

Your voice is as soft as the cold wind that brushes through his hair. "Me too."

He turns his head to stare at you. You notice, and you turn to stare at him, too. The moment feels so disgustingly vulnerable that under normal circumstances, he'd be ashamed.

You breathe in and out. "I want to have kids because I wanna give the same amount of love my own mom gave me." You're sheepish now, embarrassed to be spilling your dreams to your own roommate - but Kunikuzushi doesn't mind.

He would never mind, not when it's you.

"Sometimes," you nervously wet your lips and you start to absentmindedly toy with your hands. "Sometimes I dream of a version of me in the far future. I dream of myself working in my dream job, having a loving spouse, and a couple of kids, too. Maybe adopted, maybe not."

You reach an arm out to the starry sky, clearly envisioning the future you so desperately want, but knowing it's unattainable at this moment. Kunikuzushi just watches with bated breath. "And on the weekends, my family and I would go travel. I want to help my children pack up their stuff, and kiss them on their forehead when they're done. I want to joke around with my spouse like we're an old married couple. I..."

Kunikuzushi can envision you doing it, too. It's so vivid in his head - the image of you hurriedly packing up necessities and jokingly scolding a couple of kids no older than the age of 9. In his mind, they look like a mix of you and him, maybe your looks are dominant while his personality shines through in them, or vice versa.

In his mind, he can picture the moment being midday, where the sun's rays cast you in delicate daylight - the epitome of perfect. He feels his heart squeeze in adoration, and he can't help but indulge the thought of him being your husband, lovingly leaning into the doorway as he watches you - or him helping alongside you pack for your family trip.

He feels his lips curve up into a soft smile and his eyes well up in adoration as he stares at you. He realizes that he wants that to be true, so badly. After graduation, he wants you and him to move into an apartment along with a dog that you want so badly. And then years down the line, the two of you will have your own house - all settled down.

He realizes too late that you're done talking and he snaps out of his stupor as he asks you to repeat yourself.

"I said," you inch close to him, and all it takes is one more inch for the two of you to touch. "What about you, what are your plans for the future?"

He hesitantly parts his lips, "I... I guess it would be whatever you want."

Confusion sparks in your eyes, "Huh? What I want? Why?"

Something about that moment felt right for Kunikuzushi. You and him under the stars, with only the cold air as a company. At that moment, something just clicks in his brain - he wants to be with you until the end of time. He'd follow you wherever you go, as long as it's the two of you. Young and dumb at the peak of college matters little to Kunikuzushi, not when he believes that you're 'the one' for him.

'The one' that he's been searching for all his life, 'the one' that'll put the romance depicted in his favorite childhood books to shame.

And later on, maybe future Kunikuzushi will curse out the present him. Maybe this will be the cause of his life's downfall, a harbinger of everything wrong. But at that moment, the feelings he's been bottling up for months all come tumbling down in the form of a softly uttered, "I love you."

His words were so quiet that it took you time to process them. And you know that for Kunikuzushi of all people, to shed his layers and bear his vulnerability to you, means that this is important to him.

He's placed his heart in the palm of your hands, and it's up to you how you handle it.

You inch closer to him, and he's painfully aware of how your exposed skin meets in contact with his. He hopes you don't hear the loud thumps of his heart, he hopes you don't notice the amount of sweat that's built up in his palms.

But he so sincerely hopes you see the amount of joy the erupts in his face the moment you said you love him back.

He hopes you see the way that at that moment, Kunikuzushi looks at you like you hung the moon and stars, looks at you like you plucked them out and gave them to him instead. Looks at you like you were the only thing he could see and ever hope to comprehend.

That it's that far from the truth, for him, when he's with you, there's no one else.

During Kunikuzushi's first year at college, he meets the love of his life and confesses under a sea of stars. Maybe his confession could have been more romantic, should've included roses and flowers - but he'll do that some other time. Right now, he just wants to admire the way the moonlight encapsulates your features - it gives you an ethereal glow.

That night, Kunikuzushi promises himself to do everything he can to make you happy. 

At the ripe age of 28, Kunikuzushi is working in a corporate business. He has his own penthouse on the outskirts of Inazuma, and he comes home at around 5 pm. Sometimes, he can't help but wonder how you've been fairing after all these years.

His hands itch to dial your phone number that he's memorized back when the two of you were still in college. He longs to hear what your voice sounds like nowadays - yearns to just be in your company, just like old times.

More often than not, he wishes that his life was back to its college days; a part of his life that he treasures to this day because you were the center of it all. He wishes he was 19 again and lounging around your shared dorm room, feeling the domesticity of it all.

But he knows more than anyone else that it's all just wishful thinking. Because at the end of the day, he'll come home to a house with no one to greet him, and he'd adopt a dog if the notion of it didn't invoke so many painful memories within him; because the thought of dogs alone reminds him of all the times you talked about having one as adults.

Unknowingly or not, you still have his heart in the palm of your delicate hands.

Unknowingly or not, if you were to dial him up any moment and tell him that you miss what the two of you had, he'd agree with no hesitation.

Because at this point, Kunikuzushi's heart has never loved another person after you. It's like you imprinted all of you the moment you said you loved him back; and the imprint can't be erased, forgotten, replaced, or undone.

And he's left to deal with the love for you that he can never quell.

At the end of the day, it's still you and your love that he craves.

To preface, this is me exploring the relationships Aura has, focused on the ships I found, but this is just general exploration and shit so could be read platonically or romantically. It's very long so, be warned

Navi is, as we know, Aura's first friend. Aura chose to save it in the escape despite what I'm assuming is protocol. Since the crash, Aura has been acting as guard and nurse to Navi, finding and providing medical aid, as well as defending Navi's unconscious body from assumed threats. Stars made no move in using Navi, nor revealing what Navi is to people who could be inclined to. Of course, that is basic decency, and I'm sure many would do the same, but because of Aura's upbringing, I'm going to point it out. Now we don't actually know much about Navi, it is very much unconscious, and there have been no interactions between them outside of the beginning cutscene. However, based on how much Aura cares about Navi and based on what Navi said to Epsilon, they're close and will continue to be so. Now, because of the lack of knowledge about their relationship, it's hard to say which way it'll lead, but I think it's safe to say they'll only get closer once Navi wakes up, with Aura taking the lead until Navi can orientate itself, but before Navi wakes I'm expecting to see a lot more of Aura defending Navi to the best of stars ability and general caretaking. After Navi wakes, it's entirely up in the air.

Vick is admittedly kinda tough, Aura doesn't super trust him and is kinda scared of him, scared enough to be firmly stuck in people-pleasing mode to keep him on their side. However, Vick is quite serious about living with Aura and is quite determined to find a way to defend their home and also to locate the captain. They are pretty in sync for being near strangers, Aura tending to Navi and the home, and Vick adventuring and finding things. Aura is, of course, doing a lot of this for Vick because star thinks they have to, but Vick is genuine. I feel like once Aura can overcome their fear of Vick, or stars idea of Vick, then they would run together like a well-oiled machine.

Vesper would be a good balance for Aura. Aura isn't weak or stupid, just sheltered however, Vesper would be able to spot untrustworthy people more easily and have the defence and plans to get out of situations. Now I won't say Vesper would ever endanger Evren or herself for Aura, but she'd provide extra protection and possibly could teach Aura a thing or two about defence. Aura is booksmart, not streetsmart, something that Vesper definitely is. Like I said, they balance each other out. Also, Vesper would probably understand Aura's need to protect Navi, and could possibly assist, or at least help Aura come up with a better lie and/or protection. With recent lore in mind, Vesper did warn Aura via message when Aura was talking with Epsilon, Vesper obviously knows what Epsilon is, and like I said, has a lot more knowledge when it comes to things Aura doesn't know. Vesper is also a lot more conscious of Aura's wariness, possibly could relate to them in that regard, and so does seem to make an effort to not push star in ways she would not want to be.

Evren balances Aura differently, while Vesper balances Aura in work areas, Evren balances Aura in fun areas. Evren matches Aura's energy when it comes to finding cool shit, and they both get quite excited about eachothers discoveries. Evren also brings out a more relaxed, playful and flirty side of Aura, no matter how unintentionally the flirting is said, Evren does tease Aura for it, making a lot of conversations lighter. Evren is the first person Aura tells that stars a criminal or at least that they've stolen something valuable, he can presumably guess what Aura took, but never says it. Evren also recognises that Aura is more of a lover, not a fighter, and encourages them to make things more than just weapons, like defence. Evren also warned Aura of Epsilon, and I believe is the one who suggested that they take Epsilon to Aura instead of just pointing it in the right direction. I can't say for certain, but I can imagine Evren would be willing to help Aura protect Navi, or at least would be understanding of Aura's predicament, he already has been.

Mi-go and Aura are both engineers, and Aura is quite fascinated with Mi-go and the things she does. I don't want to make too much of a leap, but I think Aura would be willing to provide hair or something for Mi-go to clone them or whatever it is that she does. The only issues would be that I'm not too sure Mi-go would be against using Navi as a power source, obviously Aura being heavily against it would certainly persuade Mi-go, but still, also Daiv told Aura that Mi-go was interested in stars ship, and nothing good comes from that. Besides that, they have a good relationship. Mi-go is always willing to show off its machines and the things she makes, and Aura is always willing to look at said things. Mi-go is quite the entertainer, and Aura is always willing to be entertained. And vice versa. Mi-go and Aura have similar interests, one could say, or at least similar jobs and skills, and that certainly helps their relationship. Mi-go could definitely bring some excitement to Aura's life, and Aura could mellow Mi-go out a little. They balance each other well.

Asrickus is almost obvious. The fact that Ricky here is two steps away from giggling and kicking his feet around Aura practically speaks for itself. But I must read deeper. Aura is fascinated by Asrickus and has been very willing to provide things and make things for both bounty hunters. Of course, this could be a situation similar to Vick, fawning to survive. However, I genuinely believe Asrickus thinks too highly of Aura to be willing to agree to a bounty on star, not that I'm convinced he'd get one. Asrickus, in general, is always glad to talk with Aura, Aura seems to be in a similar boat. Asrickus is always amazed by Aura's skills and powers, which, yet again, Aura is in the same boat. Their relationship is strong, whether romantic or platonic, and both are pretty willing to help the other. They are kinda similar, so in that way, their relationship will certainly go far

Billy Batson Headcanon Part 3 (?)

This is the third official part, I think. Fair warning: I'm British, not American. Also, trigger warnings for references to genocide and child abuse.

Anyway, so here's something that's been kicking about in my head for a while: indigenous!Billy.

I don't even know where the thought came from, initially, but it's grown and expanded and has been a fairly cohesive thought, so I've elected to share it anyway.

Billy is, to me, half native on his mother's side. I'm not to certain which tribe, but I treat Fawcett as Philadelphia. So, I imagine a tribe from that area. Possibly Powhatan? It's the only one I can name in the North West.

Anyway, this works in my head because of Billy's original lore with Mary. Twin siblings separated at birth. This was an actual practice that was happening in the 40's, all the way through to the mid 60's. It's called the termination era.

In this headcanon, Mary was taken from their mother at birth and given to rich white family, just as what happens anyway. This time, on top of just being because they're wealthy and their mother is poor, it would also be because the Bromfields are "civilised" and the Batsons are "not".

This, to me, makes sense. It also gives more credence to the way Billy is treated in the original canon. No one really seems to care that he's homeless. They never acknowledge it. It feels like this kind of neglect is more likely if he is a native child, especially one that's visibly native. People of the 40's just would not have cared.
