Hi, I'm a mirrorgender person, who did take the survey. I'm not sure if I'm the one anon was upset with or not, but I figured I'd chime in.

For me, I only mirror the genders of people close to me emotionally, like friends, family, partners, etc, not just anyone I'm around. However, for me, yes, my gender does exactly mirror other people. When I am around someone I am close to, I see myself as the same gender as them, whatever that is. I am system myself, so I do understand how DID & OSDD can complicated sense of gender. For me, if I know someone is a system, and I am close to them, I just mirror the gender of whoever is fronting.

If someone's gender cannot be mirrored, such as cultural genders of cultures I'm not in, or I am not sure of or don't understand someones gender well enough to feel my own gender in relation to it, my gender just reverts to the static part of my gender I also feel when I am not around someone emotionally close to me, which is a mix between pangender and agender.

It's not really controllable for me. When I am attached to someone, whenever I think of myself in relation to them pr am around them, I see my gender as whatever their gender is, I can't see myself being a different gender from them (except the cases where I can't mirror their gender, as explained before). My gender mirrors to my level of understanding other than that. With more complex genders that haven't been explained fully to me, it mirrors what I know of it. So, to me, it is an exact mirror because it mirrors exactly what I know of someone's gender.

I hope that helps clear some things up, although obviously my experience with being mirrorgender isn't everyone's. I am open to answering questions as well, of course

Mirror-Amaregender

Mirror-Amaregender is a form of genderfluidity that is a mix of both amaregender and mirrorgender. It means that your gender/s change depending on the gender/s of the person/people your in love with or are romantically/sexually/queer platonically attracted to. It specifically mirrors their genders/gender alignments towards them, where you only want them to view you as those genders/alignments.

People who are mirror-amaregender may have a base gender or have no gender at all outside of the gender/s they are mirroring from the people their in love with/attracted too.

Those who identify with this may feel like their gender is shiny like glass reflecting light, almost translucent, fractured and splintered into different genders and maybe even a bit vintage, like an old looking glass or scrying mirror.

re: unlabeled & questioning gender mirroring! For me it depends on the person! It’s generally agender umbrella though (often in a ‘dunno know / don’t care’ way and sometimes in a ‘lack of gender’ way and a little more rarely in a ‘neutral not man or woman’ way). It might have a lil essence of gender depending on the specific person and the specific circumstance, esp with questioning folk, but it’s never fully gendered.
