It wouldn't be a problem, except Soap is panicking, and Ghost is struggling to calm him down.

Why I recommend it: This is one I have read and re-read multiple times. I mean, a 5+1 fic about street food that even has footnotes with links to the actual food markets and recipes mentioned in the fic? Eliot would be proud. I love how the author captured each of the characters, especially Eliot, and the many little details and references to things from the show. It’s also delightfully funny!

1. The Dreamers in the Daylight @dreamersinthedaylightinspo

Elain is completely fine and has her powers totally under control. She is not even upset about Azriel avoiding her, or Lucien's existence, which she cannot make herself forget no matter how much she wants to. Her mission to live a quiet, boring eternity in the Night Court is upended rather suddenly when - on a push to help Elain in the way they (sort of) helped Nesta - Rhysand and Feyre offer her an official position as their Court Seer.

At her very first appearance as an official member of the Night Court, a Day Court scholar appears to surprise Prythian with her announcement of a formal criminal tribunal against the Night Court.

Elain will have to decide where, and to whom, she belongs. Once the truth is told, there will be no going back.

A Lucien backstory fic.

okay soooo of course I have to shout out @inkwingsinc's fic, bit my gun with my black-gold gums (which, if you haven't read yet, just call off work now because you WILL LOSE SLEEP reading this divine fic!!!). it is genuinely one of the best writing i've ever read, and the plot/characters/story are so unique and carefully thought through. it's like, god-tier. ink is a treasure, and we are blessed to have this absolute GIFT !

the first feyd x reader fic I read was @peggyao3's fic, preyd, which i still go back and re-read because it just hits. Every. Time. Peggy also has so many more Feyd fics that leave me drooling, and I force myself not to read them all because I *will* devour them all too quickly.

@luminnara also has a great collection of feyd fics, including my personal fave, gladiator!

i also really really enjoyed @sansaorgana's thrown to the wolves fic!!!

if you want something else in the dune-universe, i HIGHLY recommend fleshed in the wife by @thefudge. it's paul x irulan and is INCREDIBLE.

(idk if all of them will be the level of "fucked up" you're hoping, but considering they are all feyd fics, well.... they're all naturally a tad fucked up. i just know that there are a lot of fics out there that I've enjoyed that I'm blanking on. if I've comment on their fic, chances are I enjoyed it and I just have terrible memory.)

tbh i really try not to read a whole lot of feyd fics, especially right now, because i don't want to worm its way into my own ideas/writing, so those are the main ones I've enjoyed!!!

also, if you want fic recs outside of that, trust that I read a lot of...ahem. Weird shit? basically anything in my bookmarks on AO3 are what I consider to be the crème de la crème, particularly this venom x reader fic collection by @snarky-badger or this pennywise x reader fic (yes, really.) i re-read both at least once a year. Steve Harrington is starting his senior year off right. He’s the president of Alpha Sigma Phi and determined to usher in a new season of inclusivity, starting with making a move on Eddie Munson—the guy he’s been crushing on for longer than he’d like to admit.

September: Senior Year 

Steve Harrington has never had a real conversation with Eddie Munson before, but he has plans to change that tonight. 

Well, he’s bought from him. So he’s like, talked to him in the way that you talk to the dude selling you weed… or E, or coke, or shrooms, or whatever else that was on hand and guaranteed to get you blitzed out of your mind. Steve had a wild party phase, alright? But that’s behind him—he sticks to weed now. 

Lost in thought, Steve eyes Eddie curiously across the party raging on at Alpha Sig. He’d always noticed Eddie before, how could he not? Good looking guy with long dark curls, big brown eyes, and a mysterious scar on his chin that creeps up and bisects his lip. Eddie Munson just looks… interesting.

Fics I Read This Week (11/26-12/2)

Secrets and Lavender

5+1 fic. Klance established relationship, 5 times Lance is jealous of people flirting with Keith and want to punch them, and one time he actually does punch someone flirting with Keith.

Short and sweet, very good.

Audience of one

Explores the concept of Keith having more galra traits and being raised as a galra soldier. He and Lance meet after Lance is kidnapped by the galra and gets him through alive.

I really enjoyed this, the character development for Keith was just sooooo good and when there were action scenes they were super good to read.

Free to breathe

Sequel to audience of one, focuses a lot on Lances recovery after being imprisoned and how the team comes to terms with Keith being around, not super action packed.

My favorite part of this was definitely the hurt/comfort elements of Keith and Lances relationship and touches on the really important stuff when it comes to being in love with your captor and the member of an institution you’ve been fighting for the greater good. The team’s development, especially Alluras, is also a great part of this story and very well written.

Keith and Lance get stranded on a desert planet after winning the galra war, they have to come to terms with being alone together and their feelings for each other while dealing with the hardships of survival.

Without giving to much away (Major Character Death is tagged) I loved the development of Keith and lances relationship both while there is and isn’t much conflict. The concept of grief is also handled well and even though it was devastating to read I couldnt help but find it a little beautiful.

Why I recommend it: I thought the magic or supernatural abilities chosen for each character and how they affected each character’s backstory was really thoughtfully chosen. I wish this fic was a tv series of its own!
