If you want to describe your shitty fuck ex who was self-centered, egotistical, and manipulative, just use those individual fucking words instead of a personality disorder. It's easy to just have a vocabulary.

This can apply to narc abuse believers as well, just use different words!!! They explain your abuse much better instead of acting like narcissists abuse in a special super different way because ANYONE can be manipulative, egotistical, and self-centered!

Idk I find it funny that there’s a term for abuse where the abuser is just self-centered(Narc abuse) but not one for where the abuser is attention seeking and needs constant apprise to have self esteem that can lead to inappropriate behavior like hmmm kinda odd tbh

if ppl go say “borderline” abuse and “narc” abuse then why isn’t there terms like that for all personality disorders like DPD PPD ASPD HPD ScPD STPD (help I can’t remember any of the others) as a lot of times they tend to overlap and ppl get diagnosed with more then one like *why*

maybe bc most ppl don’t know that there are multiple personality disorders instead of just BPD and NPD idk guys

anygays, PSA there’s more than 2 personality disorders and by useing “narc” abuse and “borderline” abuse you are hurting all of them even if you didn’t know they existed, all the more reason to not use a name of a disorder to characterize abuse, it’s the same as using Autistic and Psychopath as an insult 😃😃

I am constantly adovating that people shouldnt use narc abuse in social media but the minute my good friends starts using npd in an ableist context I don't know how to act.

Like she also thinks narc abuse shouldnt he a term but she is reading self help books of "people who survived narcisistic parents" (aka emotional abuse) to cope and says that its okay since there is "actually an abuse narcissists tend to inflict on others".

I argued that maybe that might be true but imagine someone who has been neglected by their parent now writes a book about how they were "abused by a person with depression" since they CAN tend to neglect people. That would he total bullshit. Everyone can neglect someone, you cant just diagnose someone based on those things. Its 1. probably not a correct diagnoses and 2. it spreads misinformation and you are activly harming people with the disorder

But shw litreally DOESNT LISTEN TO ME. She is so igorant towards me and excuses it with "I just express my trauma" and plays the "you are so unemphatetic, well maybe it just hurts you because you have npd" LITREALLY NO? I mean yeah maybe I have npd I am currently trying to find help and if I would have the disorder then I wouldnt be able to tell you AND I am atleast 10 times more emphatetic than you. How is that even possible

Anyway I stopped arguing with her about her ableist language and just let her talk but it hurts so much
