#nonhuman Clark Kent

I can’t stop thinking about slightly not-human Clark. Like slightly pointed ears, sharper fangs, unnaturally blue eyes, really long almost snake-like tongue.
Idk I just love this and wish more people wrote about it because it’s so cool and it really shows how he’s so similar to humanity while also being a literally alien from another planet.
I’m imagining Bruce noticing these smaller details and becoming infatuated with them and wanting to know all about them. Always telling Clark that he loves these little features bc Clark’s insecure about them and Bruce making him feel better.
Ugh I love slightly not-human Clark

Anon who was trying to get into superman, back again! I took your suggestion and watched the 1978 movie, it was so fun! “Nonhuman character whose best quality is how human they are” is such a good trope 😊 (Foo fighters flashbacks haha) I do wish Clark before he goes to metropolis was a little more like his Clark Kent act, made me a little sad to remember it was just a bit 😔 I think it would be nice if his “real self” was sort of in the middle of his two lives.
I also read Gene Luen Yang’s Superman Smashes the Klan graphic novel and enjoyed it a lot. Do you have any thoughts on My Adventures with Superman? It looks very cute though I haven’t had the chance to see it yet.
Oh also, wanted to share this with you, the only thing I could picture after the 1978 movie. https://imgur.com/a/7P6tjIO
[response to this ask]
i’m so glad you liked it!! non-human characters defined by their humanity is one of my fav tropes, i knew i liked ff for a reason (said the fake jojo fan who never finished part 6 😓)
i agree, it would’ve been nice to see clark’s personal life feel more connected, but they paced it out rly well for a movie, esp an origin story! i think he exaggerates his clark kent persona fs, but i don’t think it was totally a bit either, esp w the 2nd movie—tho the sequel was also much more ridiculous, so i think everything got amped up in general. personally, i loved younger clark! to think of this gentle giant as having a bit of an arrogant personality, well… we all had our awkward teen years, right? i don’t think they’re mutually exclusive, but it is an interesting comparison
as for MAwS, i only got as far as ep6, but i don’t think it’s my thing. someone who’s further ahead can correct me, but it’s pretty much what you’d expect on the tin: superman for a she-ra or voltron audience (cartoonified anime style, interpersonal melodrama, fanfic scenarios, etc). def not a bad thing, but it just didn’t hit any of my personal interests when it comes to superman, and also anime boy-fied slade wilson was so fucking strange that i’m still reeling. i think i only ended up caring abt jimmy last i watched; lois frustrated me and clark felt empty, which are not rly opinions i’ve had for either of them before
that’s not to say that i didn’t have any fun! but i don’t think the fun moments were enough to motivate me to finish. i do hope ppl are enjoying it tho, i hope it’s a fun intro for new fans or a refreshing take for longtime ones (it has a lot of deep-cut references apparently!). maybe i should finish it some time before i rly make up my mind on anyone
Tumblr media
and ty SO much for this image btw. so so real
in exchange, have some live reactions from my most recent donner superman rewatch:

Book Review: The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Squirrel Meets World (YA Book 1)
Squirrel Meets World is the first of a recent series of young adult novels about Squirrel Girl. As someone who's read and seen a number of Adaptations For The Young People in my time, I was a bit worried that Doreen Green as seen in the recent comics (AKA the best superhero ever) was too unusual a superheroic protagonist to easily translate to another writer's pen.
Gentle reader, I was happily wrong. The fourteen-year-old version of Doreen seen here feels like a thoughtful, worked-out predecessor to the college student version of Doreen in modern comics--  and she's not alone.
Doreen herself is extremely sweet, kind and open, and the story gives us a deeper understanding of how the way she was raised helped create that, with a pair of parents who are ridiculously supportive of her being herself - while still trying to be reasonably cautious about the realities of being a young person in a messed-up world. (It feels like the Hales looked at the story of Clark Kent and went, "How can we take this apart and put it back together to really emphasize the important parts?" It turns out, weekly Scrabble tournaments.)
Just as (and arguably more) importantly, the supporting cast is amazing, getting their own viewpoint chapters. Tippy-Toe, Doreen's number one squirrel partner in the comics, gets to be a badass, negotiating between different communities of squirrels in a surprisingly real-feeling way; the translated-from-Squirrelese slang is exaggerated, but the communication itself feels like the carefully-navigated mixture of aggression and open respect you'd find in communities where painful disrespect by the larger world is a daily occurrence. Then there's Ana Sofia, a deaf, implicitly neurodivergent Hispanic girl whose personality is impacted by all those things but goes well beyond them, who gets to be messy and resentful and still get friendship and still get to be a hero. And the bad guy is clearly a carefully worked-out character, hitting a really good space between "realistically awful", "meaningfully sympathetic", and "comic-book exaggerated".
Even the more background, tertiary characters, like the Mean Girls-y clique known as the Somebodies...
...actually, question: Do high school popularity cliques actually exist? I've never met anyone who actually interacted with one, and you'd think that people who are actually popular among their peers wouldn't get that way by being randomly cruel to them, and only having friendly interactions with a small, insular group. I feel like maybe rich kids have such small, insular, randomly mean groups, and (as is usual in capitalism) people confused "had money" for "is well-liked".
But! That said, the narrative thankfully ends up showing the Somebodies not as Innate Bitches, but as fundamentally good young people who are clinging to social roles for protection and comfort. And similar things go for the other backgrounded groups, like the troublemaking boys known as the Skunk Club, or the overenthusiastic group of LARPers, or even the wild dogs. Each character is given a name, even just in passing (there's a hilarious part where Doreen rattles off two pages' worth of funny squirrel names), and they all feel like, somewhere off the page, they have their own stories too.
The Avengers are in this book, but almost entirely at a distance; we get funny text message conversations with them, we get references to their exercise videos, we get cameos at the end. But this isn't just a hook for MCU fans and a reminder that Doreen's part of a greater universe. It's part of the biggest theme here. Doreen's greatest power, beyond squirrel-strength and squirrel-agility, even beyond her ability to think laterally and find creative solutions, has always been her ability to connect to other people - human people and nonhuman people alike. Only in the very first chapters is Doreen running solo. From there, she gathers allies, big and small, by being reflexively helpful, by reaching out for help (from the Avengers and many others), and most importantly, just by being her optimistic, helpful, loving-others self. Every character in this book ends up helping her one way or another, and she ends up helping them, and that is just how it should be.
Squirrel Girl is the best aspirational figure I can think of in today's pop culture mainstream, and this book expresses that really well. Gosh, I love her.

Okay, so maybe I'm not finding the right fiction, professional, or fanfiction, but I'm noticing this strange phenomena and it only sort of brushes on my generalization that women would rather date robots, men would rather date aliens theory1 that is kind of controversial, so I won't rehash it all here.
This time I'm setting my sites on the monster romance genre and it's deep narrative divide when it comes to gendered human protagonists. I don't have any data on gendered alien/monster protagonists because such mc's are rarely written about since writer's are human and biased towards writing their perspective.
My observation: That when it comes to human protagonists of the dating monster/alien/creature/nonhuman genre, the man protagonist gay, or straight dating whatever gender his creature boyfriend is, will accept them for who they are and work around their differences and outlooks, but when it's a woman protagonist, she cannot because the story won't explore it.
In Beauty In The Beast it's a good thing The Beast was human all along and she had to look past the furry part to fall in love and transform him back. In Shape Of water, she falls in love with a freaky fish guy2 and it's a good thing she turns out to be some kind of fish girl all along. In fact the one piece of fiction that comes to mind to subvert this was Swamp Thing in the 80's, but oh no DC Comics had to retcon it back to Swamp Thing was Alec Holland the human transformed again instead of those being false, absorbed memories.
It's also something to be said, but a different topic for another day that good thing Clark Kent looks human and was raised human for Lois Lane, but Dick Grayson has no trouble dating Starfire who looks less human and was raised in a nonhuman culture. I love Clark and Lois, but... come on. Now that I'm drawing patterns how am I to write my Kal-El was raised on Krypton and goes to Earth later where him and Lois fall in love differently AU if this is the constraint human women are supposed to fall into in romantic fiction?
Compare and contrast how Captain Kirk falls over himself around alien babes, but Uhura and Nurse Chapel can't help liking half-alien Spock's cool exterior, the usual personality quirks a humanized robot is written with plus the conflict of his human side making him both an example of women will date robots theory and women will only date aliens the more human they seem, but are baffled and attracted by their stoicism too? Sorry I always go back to that one.
Now keep in mind all these The Beast, Swamp Thing narratives were supposed to show how unshallow women are compared to their fetishist men counterparts who just want to bang a hot cat girl, or green alien girl, or whatever by seeing the human within instead of the unstated kink. It just sucks that the conflict and philosophy of what is sentience and intelligence vs. what is human is brushed aside to make an easy don't worry they're like the same specie anyway transformation resolves.
I acknowledge that my examples are lacking and there are probably more exceptions to the rule. I'm not counting exploitation pornography, or human woman and monster/alien friendship stories about communication and bonding. I'm strictly talking about most romantic  narratives inability to write women as loving nonhumans working through differences, the way both think differently and adjust, the code-switching, the philosophy, etc.
Now here's my theory3 beyond the not shallow vs. fetishism angle. Writer's seem to be under the impression that a woman will date anyone as long as they are human-like and treat each other like humans.
Secondly writer's seem to think that because men can't even understand the women (and even men) that they date and are always arguing and working around communication problems they are more conditioned, or equipped with dating what is lacking in reliability amongst humans so of course they're more equipped with falling in love with what is not human and therefore cannot fathom humanity and it's rituals, but hey that's just a theory, a writer's theory.4
1 Original Post
2 Yugioh Abridge Reference, not to besmirch the character.
3 If anyone wants clarification I'm just an autistic trans man overanalyzing how this messed up alien society works when maybe one person bothers to try to understand me at all.

Death's list is an eyesore.
It's long and just keeps getting longer with names of souls all over the universe. But as Death checks over the list, he spots a name on the list. A name that has been on the list twice before, yet has not been successfully reaped yet: Kal-El.
This time, however, Death is very determined to collect this troublesome soul. He plans on doing it personally.
However, Death underestimated how troublesome this soul could be.

Somewhere In A Secret Location. Three Men Are Talking Who's Name Are Trask, Stryker, And General Thunderbolt Ross.
Ross: "Gentleman! I want to be President Of The United States!, and I will pass a law that prohibits vigilantes, and those who've superpowered abilities will be forced to reveal who they're!." "If they don't they will be sent to jail!". "Also, omegas! including that foolish omega CEO Clark Kent will be given fewer rights, and won't be in a position of power at all!".
Hearing that Stryker nods seriously, while Trask just rolls his eyes. Trask: "Alright General give me the funding I need to create a DNA Bomb that will kill off all mutants, mutates, superhumans, and nonhumans. It's time we take back our planet from those abominations!."
Ross nods, and says coldly "no big deal Trask! I will get you the funds you need to create your bomb just make sure you don't get caught by that hacker Cyborg again!." Hearing that Trask grits his teeth, and doesn't say anything.
While Stryker talks getting Ross, and Trask's attention. "I got a project I'm working on. On a former alpha female mutant prisoner from a place called 'The pit'. "
"Her name is Bane, and her mutant power is the ability to release a fear toxin from her body." "which will cause those who inhale it to live their worse fears." Stryker gestures to Trask.
"Thanks to Trask giving me green crystals(Kryptonite) which weakened Superman through tests I created a super steroid called venom". He gestures to a glowing green liquid in a cup. "I will give it to Bane which will make her even stronger, and give her the edge to take Gotham, and break Batman!". Making Ross, and Trask smile in approval.
Damn that was crazy but good

How to Draw a Superhero – Easy Things to Draw
In this drawing lesson, I go over how to draw a generic superhero. I give general examples of real life superheroes. its I try and go through it step by step. I try to put my thought on the drawing down into words. Check out the Video!
Also, don’t forget to check another tutorial 4 Tips on Finding Your Drawing Style – Easy Things to Draw
Hello and welcome to another tutorial of easy things to draw, today I want to teach you how to draw superheroes, when it comes to drawing superheroes there is an unlimited amount of focus that you can take. In general with the superheroes we tend to incorporate certain positive attributes in them, with so many franchises of this theme, there is no surprise that they continue being a source of entertainment.
But before we start with the tutorial a little more information about superheroes
A superhero is a fictional character because his characteristics exceed those of the classic hero, usually with superhuman powers, though not necessarily, and connected with science fiction. Generated in the late 1930s in the American comic book industry, have enjoyed a multitude of adaptations to other media, especially cinema.
    some characteristics of them are:
*The origin:
-Are those of nonhuman origin, these could be extraterrestrials, mythological gods, demigods, fictional races away from humanity, robots, ghosts, demons, etc. Some examples of these superheroes may be Superman, Thor, the Inhumans, the Vision, and Ghost Rider.
– The natural origin an example of that is the mutants in which can be found Wolverine,Magneto.
-There are those who become through scientific experiments, the origin of the superhero may be an accidental consequence of an experiment, for example, Spider-Man, Flash, Hulk or Fantastic 4. You can also include experiments with a deliberately sought purpose (such as Captain America).
-Obtaining advanced technology or mystical artifacts, such as the Green Lantern ring, the Iron Man armor or the adamantium from which Wolverine’s claws and skeleton are made.
-There are also those who become superheroes after a trauma. There are those superheroes whose families were killed. They usually lack superpowers, but they have sophisticated weapons, tools, and skills that allow them to do justice, such as Batman, The Punisher, Daredevil, etc.
*These have one or more special abilities among which we can find: superhuman strength, telepathy, a technology well ahead of their time, mystical powers, knowledge of martial or scientific arts, athletic skills or great intelligence.
*These superheroes tend to fight to defend the innocent either in crimes, catastrophes, alien invasions or any other threat they encounter.
*They usually have a perfect anatomy and also follow the canons close to the Greco-Latin, although they can follow other aesthetics.
  * They tend to have a secret identity (double identity or alter ego); they have a “civil” identity, pretending to be an ordinary person and another under which they act as superheroes, such as Clark Kent (Superman) or Peter Parker (Spider-Man), although there are exceptions like The Fantastic Four.
* They usually have a uniform, usually very tight (to wear under civilian clothing) and flashy colors, which usually hides their secret identity and identifying him as a superhero.
* Finally, they have a gallery of villains, characters with characteristics similar to them, but with motivations and methods that are generally opposed. Stories about superheroes almost always involve to some degree a hero conflict with a villain or group of villains.
Now from here, we will use the traditional superheroes as a base, we will review the positions of anatomical action poses and perspective drawing. You may have noticed that a superhero is much bigger than a normal person, if you’re measuring an average human it should give you six to seven heads in height, but the average of a superhero it can be seven to eight heads.Another thing you might notice about Comic-books heroes is the way they end up looking like a walking anatomy charts drawn with every visible muscle against his spandex suit, One thing you should note is that the muscle tends to work in pairs, so when one muscle flexes the other muscle is relaxed one example is the bicep and the triceps, when the bicep is flexed the is triceps relaxed and vice-versa.
Now I’m going to name the muscles that make up our superhero, I’ve said in other tutorials that you don’t need to know the names of memory, but it helps to know the shapes they have since it makes your character look more realistic. At the front we can find the:
Sternocleidomastoid, Pectoralis major, Trapezius, Deltoid, Triceps, Biceps, Abdominal wall, Latissimus dorsi, Oblique, Brachioradialis, Quadriceps, and the Gastrocnemius, now let’s see the back view, we have the Deltoid, Trapezius, Triceps,  Biceps, Latissimus dorsi, Gluteus medius, Gluteus maximus, Biceps femoris, Gastrocnemius, Extensors, and the Scapulae.
We are going to be seeing the basics about anatomy so let’s start with the drawings in stages, there are two options with which you can choose this depends on what you prefer, you can start in your sketch drawing quite light where you can hardly see it or another option, if you cannot stand the eraser, is to draw quite loaded on the paper and then put another layer of paper on top and that way you can see the skeleton work underneath, considering that we are drawing superheroes.
We’re gonna want to get really comfortable by drawing the body in motion, there’s no need to panic about figure drawing, all we have to do is start creating a gesture line, this line will follow the directional movement of the body, usually following the curve of the spine, creates the gesture line of your overall pose depending on whether it is doing either jumping, flying, running, etc.
next step is to indicate at which point of the line, the rib cage (normally represented by a circle) and the pelvis (represented by a box) are going to be. If you have trouble estimating in which part of the spine is going to fall, try drawing on pictures of  people in motion, just trace the gesture lines of the spine, pelvis, and rib cage, doing this repeatedly is going to help conceptualize these points fall and where to create angles in relation to each other, when this is ready, we move to the shoulders, you can use a short and almost horizontal line to mark where it falls.
I say almost horizontal because I think making shoulders uneven creates a more dynamic posture and prevents your character from looking like the high school yearbook photo also, this makes one part of the torso a little bit crunched while the other side is outstretched, we all know that there is nothing more badass than tough guys displaying bad posture .
We continue with our glorious stick view, we can now indicate the limbs with more lines, this way we can approximate length, angles, and position of the arms and the legs,  again,  if you have problems use real-life photos as a visual assistant, mark the joints and where the limbs will end, this will save you from messy proportions later, it’s not so difficult.
At this point, we have to establish a general thickness of the limbs, to make it easier, think in 3D and pretend that the limbs are cylinders, refer back to the muscle charts that I gave you, as they say, 90% of drawing is seen and the hardest part about making this easy is training your brain to find the simple shapes and forms which make up the complicated human anatomy, take it slow and don’t expect to nail it on the first try.
Now let’s start to review some basic things about the face, to start giving the best of you to draw a basic outline of the head after this you have to divide it into thirds, do not think too much about how you want to do them, these will become: the hairline, the brow line, the line under the nose and the bottom of the chin.
This gives you a vertical ballpark between the distances of the facial features and helps your drawings look more human. Your hairline is where the vertical plane of your forehead begins to curve into the top of your head, also when I’m creating my hairline my strategy is to think about the hair firstly as one large mass and then pull out some directional lines in the flow, I want to show it that the large-shapes is made of smaller hairs connecting to the skull.
I want to say a few things about perspective, when you’re drawing action poses you might find yourself wanting to progress past aggression on images and opposes where limbs are actually coming out towards the viewer, to do this we have to create perspective on a two-dimensional surface that mimics the way that we see the real world around us, because, think about it, we in fact see things in two dimensions our brain just trains us to organize things based on visual cues, one of these cues is that things appear larger when they’re closer to us and consequently things if you’re smaller when they’re further away.
We can mimic this concept and drawing through foreshortening or drive something to appear shorter to make it looks like it’s projecting towards the viewer, look at one cylinder, the closer one surface of the cylinder gets to us the shorter the object appears overall,  remember when I asked you before to think of limbs as cylinders,  that was the reason why, another cue that helps us organize our two-dimensional vision of reality is to overlap, overlapping is easier to learn with simple shapes.
Now to give you an example, we will use Toki, she sees two shapes in order, for Toki to be able to tell which shapes are closer to her one of the objects would have to overlap the other showing that they are in two separate planes. The human body works the same way because the human body is made up of simple shapes and them we apply overlapping to the form and anatomy.
Another example, could be, that first we have an arm without any overlap everything is in the same plane and in the second arm we have that the deltoid is slightly overlapping on the bicep showing us that it is closer to us, Same with the biceps and forearm, in the next example, we have the elbow and forearm closer and are slightly overlapping on the bicep, which shows that the bicep is further away from us. The more you know about the placements of the body or limbs, the easier it will be to overlapping them.
Once you’ve practiced these tips, it’s time for you to put a costume on your superhero, you can be as creative as you want with this, adding masks, cloak, colors that pop up or something darker if you want, That’s all up to you and also have to see what things combine better with your superhero…
Remember that it is very important that you repeat these steps and practice at least a little, this will help you to improve. And that’s it, we’ve already completed our tutorial on how to draw superheroes, remember that this is just the basics and the most common type that exists, but there are many other ways you can create them, I really hope this will help you out and we’ll see you in another tutorial on how to draw easy things where I’ll teach you how to draw step by step…

Problem is,Tim doesn't really like humans.
The human doesn't really like anything or anyone, regardless or species (unless you're a cat, or a dog, or a cow).
And it's all Dick's fault really, but no one says anything to avoid invoking the wrath of Jason.

faq
CAN YOU GIVE US A SPARKNOTES VERSION OF THE UNIVERSE? Yeah, it's definitely daunting to try to join a site where what is accepted as canon needs to be adapted to fit a whole new universe, but hopefully the following will give you a better idea of what's going on in case you're confused. Basically, metahumans exist. Their powers arose via the following means: the occult, scientific experimentation, technology, exposure to radiation, mutations, and inheritance. Likewise, bad metahumans exist. CERES is a collective and global espionage society whose mission is to keep the existence of metahumans from the general public and maintain global peace. Various divisions exist that focus on different things, using different means, but with the same overlying goal. This all takes place on earth. Some nations produce metahumans with powers that are not as easily shielded from the general public; thus, CERES and said nations work hard to isolate themselves from the rest of the world. Other groups of metahumans isolate themselves by choice. That being said, several of their occupants work for CERES. Other groups of metahumans, such as Asgardians, are more equipped and willing to adopt alter egos. That being said, they are regarded as old gods and goddesses, so while their true identities are technically "known" by the general public, they themselves are not regarded by the people as gods. For example, anyone that has studied Norse mythology will know of Thor, but Thor has adopted an alter ego, and therefore only those who know about the existent of metahumans will know that Thor is the god. If a villainous metahuman or human encountered by CERES attacks, CERES works to neutralize assaults, rid the population of their memories, and/or make certain that the attacks appeared to have no connection to anything nonhuman. Hopefully that helps break things down a bit. Make sure to read all pertinent posts in the mandatory forum. If you encounter any confusion, please don't hesitate to ask us for clarification! DO I NEED TO HAVE READ THE COMICS? Not at all. Our aim was to create a roleplay that, while it may incorporate elements from comics, can be fun and easily understood for someone who's only watched the MCU/DCCU/DCAU. While you don’t need to have read the comics, it certainly doesn’t hurt! And if you need extra info, there are always the wikis you can use to familiarize yourself or the admins are more than willing to help out. WHAT UNIVERSE IS THIS? This is a brand new alternate universe! It’s not Prime Earth, Earth-2, Earth-1610, Earth-19999 or anything in between! Which means, there’s essentially clean slate for you to create your character! We do not require you to follow the timeline of any set universe in the comics. We don’t need you to follow New52 or 616. You can pick and choose what elements you like the best and bring them to this all-new universe! CAN I ADAPT THIS CHARACTER FROM ____ UNIVERSE? Most likely, our answer will be yes. For example, if you want to play Miles Morales from Ultimate Universe, we see absolutely no problem with that. Essentially, our main concern is how well can you make them work in this roleplay. This goes for any comic character, really. Everything boils down to, can you write them for the universe/au in this roleplay? If you're unsure, don't hesitate to talk to the admins. The only time we will say an absolute no is if say, you want to play Black Arrow/Aquaflash/Wonderhawk from Earth-32, because they’re composites of pre-existing characters (Green Arrow/Black Canary, Wonder Woman/Hawkgirl, Batman/Green Lantern, Aquaman/Flash, etc). DO YOU FOLLOW ARROWVERSE/DECU/MCU/ETC? Not in the slightest. You are not restricted by anything that’s happened in any of those universes, although if you wish you can take inspiration from them for your characters. However, due to the conflicting mythos between Arrowverse and the larger DC universe, we ask you refrain from adapting from that continuity. Admins may hear out certain ideas on a case by case basis. CAN I RACEBEND A CHARACTER? So racebending can be a little bit of a touchy subject, here at Cipher our view on it is, if the character is white, we’ll never say no to more diversity! However, if the character is already a minority, say like Cindy Moon or John Stewart, we’re going to ask that you stick with their canonical race. We will allow some leniency, of course, if there’s a shortage of acceptable face claims. If you need help with that, just let an admin know! We’re more than happy to help you look! CAN I SPECTRUM SLIDE A CHARACTER? Also known as gender bending. Unfortunately, at Cipher we’re going to have to largely say no, but we’re willing to look at things on a case by case basis. If you’re interested in creating a trans character, we’d ask that the gender they present as match the gender in the comics (ei, trans man Steve Rogers could be a thing). If you’re interested in your character identifying as non-binary, we have no restriction on that! By all means, adapt and create non-binary characters! CAN I MAKE A CHARACTER THAT'S A CLONE? Yep! Seeing as this roleplay isn’t taking itself too seriously, we’re totally just believing that human cloning is a thing that’s capable in this universe! However, the clone must exist canonically within DC or Marvel already. WHAT ABOUT ALIENS? Because we're really trying to keep the focus of this alternate universe on espionage and how the DC/Marvel characters fit into a world of intrigue and spies, we ask that you adapt alien characters (such as Clark Kent or Gamora) to be an Earthling. If you need help changing their origin or finding something that fits, let an admin know and we'll be more than happy to help! For many prominant alien races, we have made specific places for them to be from. CAN I CHANGE AN ALIEN TO [ENTER RACE]? Honestly, the admins will consider characters on a case by case basis. For Kryptonians, Skrulls, Kree and Asgardians we'll ask that you stick to the locations we've made for them. Chances are we're more than fine with them being adapted as a Metahuman in general, but if you wanted to adapt an alien as an Atlantean, Amazon or something like that, please talk to admin and we'll see if we can make something work! ARE MCU/DCEU PORTRAYALS MANDATORY? No. If you can think of a face that better suits your character, feel free to use them. However, they must meet the guidelines of the site (actors and models). This is especially true as some of our canons on the site may not fit the ages they were made in certain movies/shows. CAN I MAKE AN ORIGINAL CHARACTER? No, with so much going on with DC and Marvel crossing over into a brand new universe we’re worried original characters might get lost! But, we understand that character building is a big deal for some (and let’s be honest, super fun) so you do have the option of taking a character that’s underdeveloped/has nothing about them on the wikis and making them uniquely yours! We simply ask that you choose a canon name to either DC or Marvel. MY CHARACTER ISN'T USUALLY PART OF A TEAM, WHAT THEN? If your character isn't usually canonically part of a team, you have a few options! You can put them into a team as a lot of ours are very loosely defined at times, given the au aspect of the site. If you're not down with that and like to keep their lone wolf aspect you could make them a rogue agent. Perhaps they've worked with a team once, but split, or they offer their services out as a contracted agent. We also have something known as a "street level" agent, which you can read up on more on our glossary! If you're still having troubles adapting your character, don't hesitate to contact an admin! I WANT AN AVENGER OR LEAGUER. DO THEY HAVE TO BE FIELD AGENTS? No, of course not! If you think they're better suited for a different division that doesn't solely deal with field work, then by all means! You also have the opportunity to say that either member used to be a field agent before deciding to do something else. That being said, a canon that is not a leaguer or avenger may not join either subdivision.

"Hey, Dick," Tim says. He's in costume, and fiddling with his gloves, but he doesn't remove his mask: nervous, and trying to hide it. "You've had sex with aliens, right?"
"I'm not going to like where this is going, am I?" Dick says, resigned.
"How did you deal with the whole. Junk situation," Tim says, in his best professional Mission Report voice. Its success is kind of undermined with how red his face is below the domino. — Tim asks some questions. Bruce and Clark come to some realizations.
