i remember finding your On Ugliness tag almost a decade ago when i was just a teenager and it honest to god changed my life. the way you love crooked teeth and fucked up noses and acne made me fall in love with those parts of myself and filled the world with so much more beauty and joy (and wonderful, wonderful ugliness) that i still see in everything today. when i make ocs now i think about which of their teeth are weird or missing, where are they balding, how deep are their acne scars, and now whenever i see those things in the mirror now it makes me smile instead of ashamed. coming back to tumblr for the first time in almost 10 years (10 years?!?!?) and seeing youre still using On Ugliness and youre still drawing characters that are so fucked up and ugly and perfect made me so so happy. i wish you love and happiness and peace and i hope you draw ugly people forever ❤️❤️
