This was inspired by Garp and Mihawk's interaction in the live action show. The way they speak so easily with each other makes it seem like there's some history between them as vice admiral and warlord. I don't see much content with them, so I'm curious what everyone thinks about it, and those two with their dynamic in the show.

now as to why? UCHHGHHHH IM NOT SURE SOMETHING JUST SNAPPED INSIDE OF ME IN SKYPEIA WHEN SANJI GOT HIS ASS FLAMED BY ENEL AND KEEP IN MIND I WAS WATCHING THE ENG DUB SO I HAD TO HEAR “HE KILLED OUR SANJI” which was an absolute WHIPLASH TO ME AND WHILE I DIDNT LOOK TOO DEEP INTO IT AND WAS JUST THE DUB BEING THE DUB, IT STUCK WITH ME.

I gotta be honest. I was a hardcore sanuso DENIER between skypeia and w7/enies Lobby I think. I absolutely REFUSED to accept sanuso bc I thought it was a little insane. teeny. I would look at Pinterest, see some fanart and this is stupid but I would see smth sanuso, scroll away immediately, scroll back up, look at it for one second and refresh the page. I think I didn’t like happiness at the time. I thought I was cringe for considering it. What’s funny is that I would simultaneously make drawings of them holding hands and think “yeah I DONT SHIP THEM”.

no but I love it now since w7 and EMBRACE IT cuz of tumblr and getting used to it, absolute otp 10/10 they make me sick in a happy way ,the evidence was too much I enjoy it heavily

Small things that Elliott does to elevate his costume: Fugimoto (Ponyo)

Elliott would commit to it. The day before, he washed his hair with salt water to get that tussled anxious look on Fugimoto. Don’t worry, the next week he committed hard to his hair routine <3

He probably doesn’t have enough money for makeup, so he gets Leah to do it for him. His eye bags are actually just artfully done green eyeshadow—sleep is important to Elliott.

Married:

The farmer and Elliott prep by watching Ponyo for a date night beforehand.

Thanks to his success of his book, he has quite a bit of pocket money, so he can replace the gold earrings with something genuine, so it doesn’t tarnish so easily. He would still, after all, like to continue wearing these individual pieces casually too. He can also get his suit and shirts mended in the places they need to be, and it over all feels much better to wear! Thank you, Emily!

The farmer wears a flowing pale blue dress that seems to flutter at any given moment. They buy the tiara from the hatmouse, and forge ruby earrings and a matching necklace. Its either go big and go home.

Oh, but unfortunately for the farmer, Elliott outdoes himself with his gift.

He presents them with a circlet made of genuine gold, with the pendant made of sea glass he collected when he lived in his shack. Its one of the treasures he found unintentionally on one of his listless walks for inspiration.

The pendant in his hands is not quite pretty, looking ashy and grey, until you put it on. it glows red, and the inside swirls like it was filled with red waves, sparkling with gold flecks.

With children:

The farmer’s daughter likes to run around, and they’re laughing privately, as their husband chases the girl around, trying to make sure she doesn’t fall over. He looks like fugimoto himself, without even realizing it <3

The farmer giggles with the sleepy little boy in yellow, adjusting his sea captain hat. Hes wrapped in Elliott’s burgundy cloak looking cozier than anything in the movie.

i have watched one piece live action twice (first in eng, second in jpn dubs), if i opted to be nitpicky abt it, i will have so many comments abt why they did what they did, but i want to focus on oda's vision in gaining more fans to enjoy one piece, so i will not say anything anything but praises to all of the ppl involved with the live action production.

it was indeed a success, there's no shame in recommending nonfans to watch the live action if they wanted to start getting into the series, bec it did not disappoint.

the one piece live action, esp the cast has gotten a special place in my heart, i can see myself rewatching and rewatching the live action in the future, bec it is that enjoyable.
