I don't exactly remember if it was you who thought about Saitama being trapped in time travel loop where he can't actually save the Earth from destruction. Anyways, the first thing that came to my mind was Mogami's arc from Mob Psycho (even though it isn't exactly the same). And then I wondered, what if some superpoweful mind-controling monster made Saitama went through something similar? (Let's forget he can punch through dimensional seals like in Phoenix Man's space) An empty grey world where everything is the same but something changed, the inflexion point: he doesn't have Genos. You can already guess what comes next , he doesn't join the HA, people think he's a cheater, they blame him for the meteor accident... His depression gets worse fueled by his loneliness and the ingratitude he receives. I know this is the typical build of villain Saitama au, but when he's at the edge of falling into the dark side he hears Genos calling him "sensei". At first he doesn't know where that voice comes from but his conscience keeps telling him he' missing someone very important. And when he finally remembers Genos he realizes how lucky he is to have him around and that he should value more his own feelings. That way he snaps back to reality and breaks away the mental prision he's been stuck in and wakes up in the middle of the battlefield. He kills the monster and Genos runs to him worried and startled that his sensei seems happier than usually. And Saitama doesn't say anything, but he knows his feelings are back, at least a bit.

That's a pretty darn cool idea and probably not at all unrealistic, since it's a formula ONE has used before.

I think you're refering to this post of groundhog day inspired by Majora's mask? Where the moon falls down and destroys earth?

I honestly thought that since we got time travel, we might as well have fun with it hah.

And if I am honest about superpowered mind-controlling monster?

He does fit the bill. Very well in fact.

If anything has been exhibited about OPM God's powers, is that they've always been affecting the consciousness.

He's a being who cannot be seen via normal means and only subconsciously. Even when he comes out of the dimensional space he resides in and his power creates thunderstorms to appear, his form cannot be perceived via normal means. Even Saitama only barely perceives him via subliminal messages like voices.

And the only time people seem to be able to perceive OPM God is within their consciousness or when they are in altered state of consciousness like Tatsumaki was barely awake. It would seem that God just resides in a higher plane of existence and there are hints towards God's non-physical form residing in the spiritual plane of all places.

That is, realm of the dead. Heaven, essentially. Not unlike the biblical god.

We did get a confirmation in CE and Phoenixman fight that the spiritual plane does exist and then Garou's spirit also made an appearance.

Then what OPM God did to Garou...it wasn't pretty. It was mind control, plain and simple. A bit more subtle than that but essentially yea.

And now that future Garou died...it begs the question that if OPM God resides in the spiritual plane...is Garou's soul even safe? What happened to his soul?

I have thought about this before and the Sanzu river mentioned by Zombieman and some easter eggs in OPM game and I have a feeling we'll find out at some point. Because God did not manage to do to future Garou what he did to Homeless Emperor after all.

Garou did die, but the way he died was distinctly different from HE. I hypothesise that Garou turned HIMSELF into salt to ward off evil, because otherwise God would just kill him and take his life anyway.

The interesting part though is that God just...kind of let this happen anyway.

Why didn't it just instantly suck out Garou's life? I can only hypothesise that Garou dying and Saitama learning time travel and going back still serves it's purposes. That it was meant to happen all along.

However, it means that if God resides in the spiritual plane, then Garou dying can still achieve a purpose.

There's one thing about the God's mural which references to the Aztecs, the temple shape itself.

The rationale for Aztec human sacrifice was, first and foremost, a matter of survival. According to Aztec cosmology, the sun god Huitzilopochtli was waging a constant war against darkness, and if the darkness won, the world would end. The keep the sun moving across the sky and preserve their very lives, the Aztecs had to feed Huitzilopochtli with human hearts and blood.

And then I was tickled a bit about what Joe Rogan mentioned about the aztecs. And their religious practices.

"The aztecs used to burn people when they were alive to really like freak them out. And then take their brains out and eat their brains. Because of all the hormones and all the things that were going on. But they found it gave them you know, whatever superhuman strenght or religious ecstacy."

In short, it probably slurps the life out of people's physical bodies and then noms the souls. And probably get more powerful that way. Phoenixman gives some good and apt metaphors about how God seems to be working in general. A depiction of Hungry ghost Preta.

I bet the more powerful the person is and the higher they can reach by stretching their limitations, the more powerful their soul is and by taking that power, it can get stronger.

Chances are, the Limiter is just a limiter to the power in that person's soul.

And there's probably a connection somewhere deep down in the lizard brain, the pineal gland. We've had some depictions of brain works before when Psykos merged with Orochi.

In the epithalamus of some species of amphibians and reptiles, it is linked to a light-sensing organ, known as the parietal eye, which is also called the pineal eye or third eye.[8] René Descartes believed the human pineal gland to be the "principal seat of the soul."

Anyways

If God is able to affect the consciousness and behaviour of people and also suck the life (read: soul) out of them by staring...who knows what happens when it gets even more power or there are more cracks in the dimensional seal.

Who knows what kind of mind fuckery it can exert upon people?

And since it created the limiters on humankind, there's probably no limits as to what it can do itself.

It is not to be underestimated.

Dude I got so excited to see you’ve updated and so many highways to travel upon, I’ve missed it!! The way you write...omg, it’s so hypnotic and descriptive and in CHARACTER I JUST—I haven’t been this excited about a fic in a while! U don’t gotta answer if u don’t wanna, buuuut do u think there might be some saigenos in it? Don’t gotta be of course, I’m just curious lol, I’m already so in love with the batarou, ough I love ur writing, did I mention that?? Lol

ah, thank you!! I'm glad you like my writing, I get pretty self-conscious about it sometimes lol. The reason chap 3 took so long to complete was that I wasn't happy with any of the iterations I made and I basically rewrote it a bunch of times. Happy with the end product though--even more so knowing that you enjoy it!

As for Saigenos, Genos and Saitama are still going to have a student-teacher relationship but there aren't gonna be any romantic feelings. Genos in the fic, much like Badd, clings to older adults for validation as a means of filling that void left by losing his parents at a young age. I think I even said in chapter 2 that Badd "wanted to be the son to every man that loved him" after losing his father--and it's the same for Genos. Genos just wants Saitama to be proud of him. Not necessarily like a father, though, more like a mentor.

Sorry if that disappoints!! If we're just talking about base canon and not the Band AU, I sorta just imagine Genos having a one-sided Teenager Just Met A Cool Adult crush and Saitama never reciprocating. In my head, Saitama's aroace. I still enjoy the occasional Saigenos thing though, mainly because a lot of my friends ship them lol. I think it's cute!

Thanks for this! Once again glad you enjoyed it!! I have most of the fic already written; it's just so different from canon that I don't have that leg to stand on and it feels like I'm basically writing an original story with characters that vaguely resemble the ones in OPM, so it's taking me a long time to find an iteration that I'm happy with. I really love this AU. I want it to serve cunt hardcore.

notes: inspo is from laufey's amazing songs and songwriting !!! (beautiful stranger and Dear soulmate by Laufey), maybe not angst but yeah no happy relationships for us lol, lumine makes another appearance because lumine is love (lumine cupid??)

you're in a slightly crowded plaza in liyue, sitting down on a bench. previously, you'd been to a friends apartment visiting them. your friend talks about their relationship and how inlove they feel. you, of course as a good friend, is happy for them.

sat down on the bench and watching people pass by, you call a friend to pick you up as it's pretty late and you doubt it would be safe travelling back home alone.

you've never been too good with romance, but always think about what it would be like if someone cared for you. if the said someone woke up beside you each morning and greeted you "good morning", or "good night" — what would that feel like?

but before that, where could your soulmate be? maybe on a train, maybe somewhere in the countryside. what does your hair look like? do you have siblings or none at all? my future lover, will you take care of me?

as you thought so hard, someone sat by you — shattering all your thoughts into pieces that'll take you ages to fix. you tense up; who is this person and why are they beside me?

the stranger beside you sighs, seemingly tired just like you. slouched on the bench next to you, they pull out a book from their bag and started reading. although, it seems like they did acknowledge you.

they look up at you, and you look back. would be a little rude if you didn't do so, no?

you and the stranger make eye contact and you feel, flustered? it was just like seeing love for the first time. you looked away to collect yourself, because the last this happened you were embarrassed to the limit.

...

after awhile, you look back at the stranger. you swear that he was the most heavenly smile you've seen, as he reads his book. you know to yourself you fall in love too easily and far too fast, but not this quick. your heart drops as you almost say something to the person beside you, catching their attention.

this person, stranger... have they put a curse on you, that you fall in love with them so fast?

...

"ehm, excuse me but were you going to ask me something?"

"huh? no no, it's nothing. i apologize."

...

just a few minutes after, you look at your phone. you find quite a few messages, and realize that you've forgetten you told your friend lumine to pick you up (NAURR LUMINE 😍😘😘😘😘).

you pick yourself up from your thoughts reshaped as you walk away from the bench you and the charming stranger shared. you walk slowly as you debate to yourself; "should i go back and ask him his name? or how their day had been?"

ultimately, you end up looking back. he's looking back at you too, until you bump into your friend who'd been looking for you since (cough cough) you took a bit longer than she expected. although, it isn't exactly lumine who you bumped into...

...

"Aether? wheres Lumine?"

"ah, [name]! Lumine and i have been looking for you since, well, she got worried. but as much as she worried for you, she quit finding you and went back in the car... so i was the one left to find you."

"sounds like her alright... we should go back now."

...

"one more look", you mumble to yourself. and yet when you glance to your back, he's gone. if you talked to him, got over your cowardice, would've you gotten somewhere a little farther than a simple glance?

opm time traveler au (spoilers)

genos goes back in time and tries to disguise himself and befriending sai as a bookworm lol and they become good friends until sai is fooling around and playfully steals genos’ glasses one day and the you know 💘 💘 💘 💘

what started out as a random doodle turned into a multi-chapter length fic draft out on discord!! *o*

the full convo/story is posted below bUT its heavy angst!! be warned!! sorry about the casual lingo, i was posting in chat format XD

so time traveler au picks up from when sai was getting picked on back in middle school chapter in the manga

and when genos goes back in time he thinks the only way he can get close to saitama if he was an ‘outcast’ too

so he purposefully nerdifies himself more? lOL how is possible,,,

Originally genos got sent back by dr. Genus as way to figure out the key to sai’s strength

Bc in the ‘future’ genos, they had just met and genos just wanted to know what made sai powerful

And initially when they meet genos is very forward about wanting to know all about saitama who finds it kinda creepy and stalkerish when he finds genos tailing him in the hallways and after school haha

And other classmates notice how the new kid (genos) follows/takes an interest in the class loser (sai) so predictably they start making fun of and bullying genos too

Genos, true to form, doesnt give a fuck xD

But sai has mixed feelings about it bc it was the first time someone took an actual interest in him and even though he’s so forward, genos never overstepped boundaries with him and was an okay guy overallBut alot of the story has to do with sai trying to figure out what its like to have a friend

And what to do because hes never had one

But he does know that he doesnt like seeing genos getting pushed around or made fun of so there are moments where he’ll try to stick up for him by telling them to knock it off or pulling genos aside to a differnt hallway when he sees the bullies coming

At the same time hes so confused on like what to do right, so he’ll also try to push genos away, ‘maybe if he didn’t hang around me so much, he’ll won’t get picked on…’

There was one scene i knew i wanted to do

Where after sai stands up for genos, the bullies treat sai worse

So it was an after school thing, behind one of the school buildings where sai is beat up pretty bad (like barely standing) and the bully has him by the front of his shirt and had his fist pulled back

When genos arrives

Before, sai had managed to ditch genos so he wouldnt see sai when he’s ‘weak’And always made up some excuse when he bruises or other injuries

So genos interrupts the scene by straight up grabbing the bullies wrist

And seething in all toasty righteous fury ‘dont touch him!’

and sai cant see it cus he had two black eyes at this point

but this was some dialogue i had written:

S:’What’s he doing? Why is he helping me?‘ "Hey–“

Bully pulls back fist "Look, kid. You’re new so I’ll give you a free pass this time if you walk away right now. You wouldn’t want us to mess up that pretty face of yours, would you?"

G: "How generous of you. Unfortunately, I won’t be extending the same courtesy to anyone who treats this person disrespectfully. Especially not ugly trash like you. "

Bully: "Why you–!! ”

And when the bully tries to redirect the hit to genos, genos instinctively throws out his palm and says ‘incin—‘ before he realizes he doesnt have his cannons

And genos is about to get b e a t

When sai wrenches himself from the bullies grip and takes the hit for him

They like tumble down and genos is confused to what happened before he sees sai lying motionless beside him, bleeding from his head and unresponsive

And i was gonna end a chapter there with genos screaming saitama’s name…

Next chapter was gonna be sai waking up slowly and in a world of hurt

He realizes he’s in the nurses office

It was night time

And when could finally see, he hallucinates seeing like 8 mini genos (remember the genosbots :3)‘Why…whys there eight of you/??’

So basically genos is worry over him so much whereas sai says its fine but genos is like feeling really bad so sai shakily reaches over and gently taps him on the forehead

And grins weakly, ‘there, now we’re even.’

Genos is crying openly bc he’s remembering when future saitama playfully hit his head after a spar and he thinks that saitama-sensei is strong no matter how old he is

And he’s just…overwhelmed by how kind and strong saitama is, even when he has no strength at all (Cus hes like 14 rn haha)

I think a couple days pass, and genos and saitama are eating lunch on the roof (cue bento box scene lol)

Sai is healing nicely, genos is still feeling bad whenever he looks over an sees the bandage on sais head

Some dialogue:

Eating lunch on the roof. G: How’s your wound? S: Hm? Oh, it’s fine. Don’t worry, my teachers say I have a hard head. G: I’m sorry. S: ? Why are you sorry? Not like you’re the one who punched me. G: I made things worse. If I hadn’t antagonized him, then–!! S: Then he woulda beat me up anyway. Seriously, man, it’s not your fault, okay? So you can stop doing all those things for me. G: Like what? S: You know! Like being nice to me and buying lunch and stuff. You don’t need to feel guilty about it anymore.

Sai is still kinda insecure abt having a genuine friend, so he still thinks genos is being nice to him out of pity or smtg, (and genos had been particularly nice to him after he got injured so he figured it was out of guilt)

And i mean….it was,, genos feels terribly guilty…but i think watching sai, who was powerless, attempt to protect him just made him more intrigued (and unbeknownst to him fall a lot deeper in love XD)

But genos says thats not why he does those things

That saitama reminded him of ‘someone’ he knew whom he admired greatly

At his ‘old’ school

He tells sai about his ‘sensei’ and how amazing this person was and all of his great qualities

And sai was feeling a little more depressed at each praise genos was singing about this person (coughjealouscough)

And i have another piece of dialogue here…

S: if you like him so much, why did you leave? G: …I wanted to see the kind of person sensei was before he became strong. this is where he grew up. S: …seems like a lot of effort just for one person. G:.that person (sai thoughts: he’s still talking?)…no matter what i did..I couldn’t reach him. I’d do anything to close the distance between us..I thought that if I came here, I would be able to understand him. I thought I could help him. G: touches saitama’s wound But instead, I’m still the one being saved. I never learn.

And genos gives sai this painfully heartfelt smile and its full of regret, frustration, self-loathing, admiration, and some other unidentified emotion that just floors saitama

Saitama sees genos’ smile and his eyes and is just...stunned by the level of vulnerability he sees (he’s never gotten close enough to anyone before to see it)

So he reaches out, hestitantly at first, before wiping away genos’ tears carefully because if he touches any harder he’s afraid genos would crumble

S: “i dont really get it...but if you feel that strongly, then i’m sure some part of your feelings reached him.”

And they share their first hug then :3

((When i wrote this, genos didnt have glasses haha so i guess that scene where sai realizes how pretty genos is would go before this one))

I guess if the glasses were involved, sai would be torn between wanting genos to take them off (so he can see his eyes which oddly finds that he likes them...alot.) and keep them on so other ppl wont see how pretty he is

Bc sure if they saw, genos would no longer be his friend

He would have so many ppl vying for his attn, he would be surrounded by girls and guys and would be approachableAnd saitama would get left behind

But i think even tho sai wants to be selfish and keep genos to himself, he also realizes that genos wouldnt be bullied if he were more accepted

So he would encourage genos to ditch the glasses and genos would end up getting accepted by everyone but he would still stay with saitama and nothing would change between them other than saitama getting really red at random times and avoiding eye contact more

It would just be one of the many things that strengthen their relationship as friends. And i think i had planned some stuff where they do a bunch of typical friend / kid stuff

Like genos tutoring saitama on math, genos running circles around sai in track/field (‘wtf...huff are...huff you?! huff some...kinda...rOBOT!?). Them going to the arcade, saitama taking genos around to explore his hometown, they go on hiking trips and stuff.

genos finding out saitama lived alone and that’s why he always buys lunch (or doesnt eat if he got bullied out of it that day) and talking out their issues and genos reaching out and saying yeah, he knew what it felt like to be alone

but that saitama should never feel that way because he wasn’t alone anymore, and saitama joking affectionately ‘yeah i have you to stick annoyingly close.’

and also heavy scenes like when you have to fill out future goals sheets in school where sai shyly admits that he’s always thought it’d be nice to be a hero and was shocked when genos was oVERWHELMINGLY supportive bc he’s never had anyone cheer for him like this, believe in him like genos does. And he calls genos crazy for agreeing with him, but he thinks he must also be crazy because when genos looks at him like that, he feels like he could do it

and its one of the first moments we see sai really open up to genos

bc being a hero was something he truly cared about

but his teachers, his classmates, heck the world, didn’t think he could do, they thought it was a hopeless dream for someone, and he’s so used to facing this kind of rejection that he’s started to believe it really would be impossible for someone like him....

but all it took was this one person, this one friend to tell him he could...and it made him feel invincible

and its probably the scene where saitama realizes how important genos is to him.

So of fucking course its when saitama realizes genos is important to him that drama bomb hits Basically, Dr. genus comes and pays genos a surprise visit. And hes like “did you forget the reason I sent you back here? Any updates?”

And genos is like “i have nothing of interest to report”

genus: "This isn’t some children’s game, you know. "

genos: "I must be careful not to expose myself. Saitama-sensei is more observant than I had initially planned--"

genus: "You’re stalling. I have an idea: Fight him. "

genos: !!! dr : "You’ll have a disguise. I will re-install your blasters. Perhaps a stressful situation will trigger a transformatio--. "

((so it was gonna be hinted at that even though genos appeared like a normal human, he was just redesigned by genus and was actually still a cyborg) genos: "I refuse to put Saitama-sensei in danger!!"

dr: "What danger? He is more than capable of--"

genos: "Right now, he is powerless. An attack could kill him--!"

dr: " And doing nothing will kill us!! Your mission is to find out the secret to his strength! Something we both wanted to discover and the entire reason why I chose you as my test subject! I will not sit here idly while you indulge in your childish fantasies that will get us both erased from the timestream. Look. " //he shows genos a pic of the hero registery from their time//

genos: " !!! Sensei’s name is missing!”

dr: " Your name is gone too. I dont know what you did but your actions are interfering with the future. Here. Collect your belongings and leave no evidence behind. We depart in 1 hour. "

genos: " !! Wait! Give me more time!! I understand now..!"

//genos has a bunch of flashbacks of when he does fun stuff with saitama. When sai tries to make him something in cooking class (and fails badly lol). When saitama shares his manga with genos. When they watch anime together.//

Genos: “I understand now..what type of person sensei was...his strength (when sai was protecting him from bullies)...his kindness (sai wiping his tears away)...his warmth (sai hugging him*)...!!”

“I finally understand...!!”

sai holding his hand, sai smiling and eating with him..

“...what its like to feel human again!!!”

He’s suddenly lifted off the ground and pushed roughly against the wall. Dr. Genus has him by the collar.

“Reality check, little shit!! You. Do. Not. Belong. Here! You’ve been playing pretend for far too long! And guess what demon cyborg?”

He tosses genos to the ground

“Time’s run out”

So chapter was gonna end with genos’ hand slowly fading in and out

next chapter would begin with genos being given 2 hours by dr. Genus to basically pack his shit and go. bc they cant leave any trace of the future stuff when they leave So genos ends up back in the classroom Packing his cute stationary and shit xD

(That sai bought him o b v i o u s l y )

And he’s startled by the door sliding open

And saitama walks in

He’s suprised to see genos there (and looking guilty?) “did ya forget smtg?”

And genos just kinda..looks away

And sai sees him packing up and taking everything and hes quiet for a bit ...

“You’re leaving?” He asks softly

“Saitama-kun, I—!”

“Why?” He keeps talking in that soft tone, but it silences genos more effectively than a shout

“I..I can’t...”

S: “...Is it because of that person?”

(Sai remembers the shine in genos eyes when he talks about his ‘sensei’, his special person, and his heart kinda just falls to his feet)

(i never had a chance, did i...)

Genos cant answer because yeah it was because of saitama in the future. So what if genos disappeared? Genos didn’t care. But the world needed saitama. It needed Saitama The Hero. He had to leave now so saitama can exist in the future

But since he cant say anything, for fear or changing the future even more, genos just doesnt say anything

So sai assumes that yeah, it was because of someone else, someone better than him, someone who deserved genos’ admiration and loyalty

He doesnt say anything, just approaches genos slowly, trying not to startle genos who has like deer in head lights ready-to-b o l t

And saitama rests his forehead on genos’ shoulder, barely touching him but close enough that genos cant ignore him, genos can feel his presence and his warmth

And theres a moment where genos is t o r n

Bc this saitama acknowledges him in a way that future sai wouldnt. This saitama looks at him and sees him whereas his sensei’s gaze passes over him to focus on the sale sign

And genos has been in school again, and he realizes he missed it. He missed having his worries be about being late for class, missing a school assignment, whether he could sit next saitama next class, what to pack for his and sai’s lunch tomorrow

And he knew in the back of his mind, that his real self, was in surgery at this time, trading warmth for fire and destruction, shedding his humanity while his future self was regaining it in the past,Thanks to saitama

He inhales sharply, ‘sai—‘ S: “don’t go.”

G: !

(Sai thought genos was going to say he was going to leave and he didn’t think he could hear him say it) S: “I know..he’s precious to you...” He reaches for genos, and after hesitating over touching genos’ hand, he settles for gripping genos’ sleeve of his school uniform tightly S: “but you’re precious to me “

And genos has tears streaming down his face. Because he wanted to stay, he had never wanted anything so much before than to just stay with saitama before he became sensei, to cheer for him when no one else would, to stop him from reaching the point he had trade his emotions for his strength, to stop the emptiness before it could touch him

But he also knew...that in order for his sensei to become strong...saitama needed to have these struggles that pushed him to change

That success without sacrifice was impossible, and he knew, genos KNEW it in his soul that if he stayed...if HE was the factor that caused saitama to limit himself, to fall back on a regular life when genos had seen it with his own eyes that this was a man destined for greater things...he would never be able to forgive himself

Genos throws his arms around saitama and hugs him tightly. He feels like he’s floating with nothing to ground him than the feeling of saitama returning his embrace equally tightly with his still lanky arms

G: “Saitama-kun....Thank you.”

G: “...goodbye.”

So next chapter begins ...With genos ending up back in genus’ lab

G: “Are we back?”

dr: “It appears so. We should—hey!! Where are you going?”

And genos is running off to look for saitama/his SENSEI because he had to exist, he had to still be a hero, right?!

He bumps into a monster

But not just any monster...Its the mosquito girl XD

Genos fights MG because its what he’s supposed to do, but he’s not scared for the fight...he’s scared for what’s to come AFTER...

And saitama shows up and finishes off MG with wan punch!!!

Genos is thankfully, not in disrepair bc he managed to dodge her attacks and was basically stalling for time

Saitama kinda sees him and looks at him blandly but to genos, that garrish, eye-burning yellow hero suit was the best thing he had ever seen

S: “Oh. A civilian? Are you oka—“

And he freezes all of a sudden.

And genos also freezes bc he doesn’t know what to do Its saitama-sensei...he should know the script, he’s done it all before

But now saitama-sensei was the stranger and he longed for the comfort that came with saitama-kun’s toothy smile

But he too had changed....he was a cyborg now, weaponized arms and black sclera on full display. His core spun dangerously. Would saitama even recognize him? Would he remember that day in the classroom when they parted ways, that was only a few hours ago for genos but more than a decade for saitama?

Genos froze. Would saitama even want to remember? After all the heartbreak genos had caused him?

Lost in his thoughts, genos almost didn’t notice saitama approach until the soft crunch of asphalt right in front of him jarred him to reality

Genos held his breath

Saitama didnt say anything. Only let that sharp gaze pierce genos in ways no monster could.

Genos couldnt read what he was thinking, he never could on his sensei’s bland face but this time, there was something tightly guarded in those brown eyes.

Saitama muttered something so low that genos had to use his advanced hearing to pickup

S: “It cant be...”

Louder and taking an aggressive step forward, saitama clenched his hand into a fist. He narrowed his eyes. “...If you’re some kinda shape-shifting monster...this won’t end well for you.”

G: “It’s genos!! I’m...I’m genos.”

Saitama freezes and his eyes grow wide. Genos almost instinctively lurches foward when saitama falls back on his heels, appearing shaken.

S: ...genos?

Genos nods tentatively.

For a moment, saitama doesnt say anything. But genos finds he doesnt need to. Those brown eyes had opened and genos could see, could feel some far-flung emotions creep back into that achingly familiar face as saitama let his gaze trail from his new eyes down his circuited arms and linger on the glowing blue that peeked through his shirt

After what felt like years, genos saw a corner of saitama’s lips twitch.

S: “It really is you....Heh. You haven’t changed a bit.”

G: “Sai—“

S: "I tried to forget you. I tried to go back to life before you. I finished school .... somehow got a job as a shitty salesman..."

S: "...I really tried."

Genos looked down, ashamed. He had been the one to injure saitama so unforgivably. He couldn’t imagine what it would be like if saitama had done the same to him, if he had turned genos away from being his disciple. Kicked him out. How could you forgive someone who changed your world for the better, only to leave it behind?

More than anything, he needed to beg for forgiveness, not that he deserved it—but saitama did.

G: “Saitama, I—“

Sai shook his head, like he didn’t want to hear it.

Genos thought his core would crack.

S: “I thought...If I were strong, things would get better. If I were stronger than that person..maybe you would have picked me instead.”

S: “Maybe you would have stayed “

S: “I trained and trained until I became strong...but it wasn’t enough. To capture your attention, I had to be the strongest.” Saitama pauses and shoots him a small, cheeky grin that had echoes of the same toothy smile Genos cherished.

S: “I would have to be, to take care of someone as high maintenance as you.”

Then the smile faded. S: “But even after I became strong..what did it matter? You had left and I didn’t know if I would ever see you again. And if for some crazy reason i Did meet you again...I didn’t know if i had it in me to ask you to choose again..”

G: (full on oil tears, the whole shebang)

G: S-Saitama..!!

Saitama grinned helplessly at him.

S: “So hurry up and choose me, genos!”

G: “Sensei!!!” [ because I had already chosen you a long time ago ]

They hug.

today’s writing:

—wips: reigen//time-travel, hana//mystery, saiki+mob, yoohan//best man

—edited the reigen time travels (kind of) wip. wow. I was reading through it and rewrote a lot of stuff. It was kinda surprising. Anyways, managed to +1040 words. holy heck. ITS GROWING. I am so, so excited and wish that this writing energy keeps going. Pls. reigen has two more middle school friends now, haha. and I realised that if I DO have Suzuki’s dad in here, that means that he might be...actually....Suzuki’s child instead and the implications are exciting.

—started another khr/mp100. debated a lot on where this should be a crossover, or for khr rarepair week because I needed to start on that, and it ended up being both. BUT BECAUSE I WAS SO UNDECEIVE, instead of the Hana/Tsuna/Hibari that I was hitting for, I ended up with Hibari/Hana/(Mob) but that’s still up for air. Like. I don’t even know where this Hana POV came from, I was scrolling through tumblr khr tag and it just HIT me. and anyways, oh my god. hibari & mob interaction??? p l s. why haven’t I thought of this before.

—Okay so I had a fleeting thought about Mob and what his thoughts would be like to a psychic who can read minds. It was inspired by that bhna/mp100 fic I read and so, I actually started writing his wip. where saiki meets the (1) kageyama shigeo and hears his mind, and it’s...Something. I don’t know where I am going with this or what the heck Mob’s mind would sound/look like to Saiki, other than vague vague but it would be really interesting to explore.

—not writing but. I was getting to a point where I realised that I need to actually write down all these ridiculous ideas I have for mp100 and wow, I ended up with 100s more. I want all of these. It’s gonna be crazy and a chore writing about them but each one of them is so interesting and I WANT THEM ALL. I ended up (non-surprisingly) a lot of reigen-centric stuff and kageyama siblings, and mob and ritsu-centric stuff. and lots of crossovers. mainly with khr, opm and bhna. 24+ so far with many to come. I gotta a break because my hands are KILLING me, right now.

—new orv wip! finally satisfying my urge to write about hsy & yjh. I have been wanting to write about them like if forever, an au where they are friends. Hsy is getting married and she asks him to be her best man. (shes getting married to ysa and jhw) anyways, GOD. I love this????

—okay. so that “original fiction” I kinda wrote, yeah that, the thing was that I had Reigen in mind kind of when writing it so I was like. what if I just go for that isekai fic I wanted to write about him??? but also make into a idol au because that isn’t a thing but the person is an idol in my story and WHILE, I could change it. I was like.... oh my god reigen would a f a b u l o u s. also this might, or might not turn out to be ritsu/reigen. because I have been feeling ritsu a lot lately. or reigen/reborn. OMG. REIGEN/REBORN/RITSU??? ignore me, im going insane.

Garou as Bucky Barnes and Badd as Captain America [Prologue: When I Lost You]

How many attempts was this now for Badd? 7 maybe? But he just had to fight in the war! His parents were both in the previous one before his father lost his life and his mother died of tuberculosis several years later. Being rejected yet again due to his on going health issues made him frustrated. As the current doctor declared him 4F yet again. He sighed in frustration as he left to watch a movie to get his mind off of things.

During the commercial of the film he heard a bratty voice yell to start the cartoon. He silently as the guy to be respectful to which his plea was ignored and the guy yelled again. To which he yelled at him to shut up. The guy turned around who was much bigger than Badd at the time. They took it outside as the bully proceeded to beat the hell out of Badd just cause he told him to shut up. Trying he best he grabbed a trashcan lid as a shield to which the bully shoved out of the was before hitting him again.

"I can do this all day." Badd patted out at the bully. He was hit again knocked to the ground before he land a single one.

"Hey why don't you pick on someone your own size?" A voice cried as the bully was punched in the face and fought off by Badd's white haired savior.

He punched the bully several times before kicking him in the behind as he ran off. He looked over at Badd with a shake of his head. "Sometimes I think you like getting punched." As bad whipped of the blood. "I had him on the ropes." They two proceeded to argue a bit about the fact that he had tried to enlist again before Badd asked if the other guy had gotten his orders to which he responded. "Sargent Garou, being shipped out to London tomorrow morning."

So as a going away "party" he was taking Badd and two girls for the two of them to see the Future Expo. They went there as the girls waved them down. Badd had always known Garou to be a flirt since they were kids. The only reason why he never danced with a girl outside of his looks was cause he secretly didn't want to. He wanted to dance with someone else but how do you being that up?

The expo was filled with many things as the announcer for the Stark Industries at the time was speaking. Garou was amazed by what he was watching while Badd was just board. He looked around finding another enlistment place. He walked over to it. Garou had followed him after noticing he was gone. They argued about for some time. Before settling on the fact that there was no changing Badd's mind.

"Don't do anything stupid till I get back." Garou told him.

"How can I? When you're taking all the stupid with you." Badd retorted.

They both called each other names as Garou went off dancing with the two girl while Badd tried this again not knowing he had been watched this whole time. When he went in this time he thought he had been caught because of how many times he had tried to do this. All because he wanted to be with his best friend. However this was not the case as an elderly man walked in.

He asked about why he wanted to do this and Badd just told him that he didn't like bullies he didn't care where they were from. To which the man had said he would give him a chance in the S.S.R. he took it as he was accepted into it. The next morning he was sent to a trading camp as they learned that they would become America's super soldiers.

Badd did everything he was supposed to do even impressing Tatsumaki who was the trainer at the time. You didn't want to mess with he due to not only her psychic ability, but she was a rough individual as well. After all the training Sitch had picked Badd as he was the better candidate out of the others.

Once training was complete Badd would being the procedure the next morning. He would be traveling with Tatsumaki to place. Once there the process began as he met the owner of Stark Industries. They began the process as it took only a few minutes tops. He was given super soldier serum and was improved. His already "Fighting Spirit" he had before was on a whole other level due to the serum.

But that happiness didn't last for long as someone from the opposing side shot and killed Sitch so that he wouldn't reproduce the serum. To which Badd responded by going after him only to find out once he had caught up to him that he was from Hydra. He knew he had to go to war to stop them to complete what Sitch had started.

That however didn't happen at first. He was a show pony for a while and hated it. Once he was on the battlefield performing for what remained of the 107th division as he was told by Tatsumaki, he had to know if Garou was there. When he found out he had been captured and most like thought to be dead he didn't agree to stay behind and hand Tatsumaki get him to the area where Garou and his men were taken to.

One they had flown over he landed proceeding to brake into the base on his own. He released all the other prisoners but that wasn't going to stop him from finding Garou. The facility was set to explode as he looked for him. Once he found him he was horrified and glad to see him. He wasn't sure what they had done to Garou, but hell they were both glad to see one another.

They both tried to get out of the now exploding facility before facing him. Badd wanted to bash the guy's face in for what they had done to poor Garou and they fought only for the mask to be removed to be who she was. This as the leader of Hydra at the time. Badd was angry with a burning passion as he watched her leave. Not really asking her name in all this. He had to get Garou out of here. Once he was across the beam that had supported him fell.

"Just go! Get out of here!" Badd yelled at him.

"NO! Not without you!" Garou yelled back.

Badd had always known Garou to be stubborn even from their younger years. He knew he wouldn't want to leave without him. Once they returned to their base they decided to find each of Hydra's bases and left them to blow up. Garou was going with him in this team since they had always been together.

And so, the Howling Commandos proceeded to destroy every single Hydra base pissing off Psykos. She was angry at all this her hard work was being destroyed. She told her subordinate that he had one more chance to stop them. To which all of Hydra's supplies were on a train.

Garou and Badd were on the train to stop them as a fight broke out. During the chaos the side of the train was blown open as he picked up one of Badd's weapons a shield, to block the impact of being shot at. However the impact pushed him so far back that he was stuck holding onto the railing for dear life.

Badd tried his best grab ahold of his hand to save Garou, but the railing broke before he could as he watch the person he loved... with all his heart fall hundreds of feet below. It was at this point Badd lost all sense of reason. He wanted nothing more than to destroy Hydra for taking away the thing he had held so dear to him.

He went with whomever was left to destroy Psykos' work. Only to find she was leaving on a plan that had nukes to destroy America's major cities. They fought for several minutes before Psykos touched the cosmic cube or Tesseract as it was called being banished into space because of it.

Badd took control of the plane having said his goodbye to his friends. He cashed it into the ice hoping that in death he would see Garou again. But, that was not meant to be...

About 70 years later after being in suspended animation, he woke up to an entirely new world. He was alone as he was approached by Atomic Samurai he told him he had been asleep for that long. He looked around as he fled his sorrow only grow. This was not what he wanted and now he would be forced to live in a world without the people he cared about.

Disclaimer: The start of these events are more based on the MCU. The next chapter which is the main story will have a mix between OPM and MCU. This is a work of fiction and please do not hate on me for it. It was for fun and the enjoyment of those who would like to read it.

F*CKING. MUCH??? you guys have no idea.

“Sir, the stats for the co-operation with EVR has been increasing, after your plea for the first deal.” A tall young man, with rounded silver glasses and a perfect black suit. Standing by the entrance, for the only biggest office in the building. Platinum and gold, displayed on walls and desk, while the logo of LV taking all the attention on the wall. Holding onto his notepad of various tasks and important information, he waited to be left off to do the rest while Taehyung stood by the windows, taking in the view of the active city.

“Good, make sure they only have this offer or LV won’t be a part of the ‘Diamond project. Oh… and also mention that they won’t be able to get the same quality elsewhere, than here.” Taehyung sounded determent, knowing exactly how the business world works. Being in the CEO position for more than a year, he knew what to say and do, when it came to manipulation. Even though, it was more or less just regular business meetings.

“Is there anything else I can help with, before I continue my tasks, Sir?” The young manager questioned, ready with his red pen to note down his extra tasks. Taehyung didn’t seem faced by it but did acknowledge his hard work from time to time. Knowing what it’s like, to follow around someone for more than twelve hours a day, it felt only right to give the young worker some free time.

“No, not for now. I’ll be out of reach the next few hours, I’m expecting a call from someone.” He replied, rubbing his chin as if it helped on his messy thoughts.

“Did they arrive today from their trip?” The manager questioned in curiosity, knowing the friendship between the previous ‘CEO’. Taehyung could only manage a chuckle, with the greatest boxy smile to add onto his facial expression. “Hah no, they arrived a few days ago. But today, I have a feeling I will hear from him.” He whispered, turning around to face the younger man.

“why is that?” It wasn’t a surprise, that his manager asked these types of questions. In fact, it felt like talking to himself. It was the small conversations that kept Taehyung’s mind on a clear path, to hold onto something that showed what’s outside of the building. Tugging his hands into his pockets, he took a deep breath before another smile ravished his expression.

“Because today, they are officially moving into a house together”

“Be careful now, it’s heavy!” Jin yelled from downstairs with his head peeking in from the entrance, as you stood halfway towards the second floor. Holding tightly onto the biggest vase you could find in the shop, for your beloved plant to stay in. There was nothing holding you back, getting the vase that is just the same size as you. Though, Jin wasn’t fond of the idea getting it and told you that he wouldn’t help moving it, if you got it.
