Since we're covering everything that came in over my hiatus (and a bit more, since I no longer had to save for a deposit & thus had a bit of extra spending money), we've got several things to address for Merch Monday this week! Like I've done before when there's a lot, we'll extend it into Merch Monday Two, AKA Tuesday. I'll go over the official stuff that came in today and the fan stuff tomorrow!

There's nothing really revolutionary here - no new art or anything - so this is mostly for archival purposes!

This is a clear file holder from SDR2's release! It's pretty straightforward - I'm using it to hold all my other official merch right now so they don't get damage. The top cut off for some reason on the scan? I have too much classwork to spend more time on it today, but I'll come back and fix it another day this week.

Another notebook, this time from V3's release. This one is way simpler than the Mahiru/Hiyoko/Chiaki notebook; the back is just a plain navy blue, and there's only one page design for both pages. I do think it's fun they gave Monokuma a little hat. That's a magic Monokuma. For me.

And a set of four postcards! You can see on the back of each which release they accompanied. Like I said, there's not really anything NEW here, but I do think it's really fun that there's official, sanctioned Kirizono fanfic. And, of course, official Kirisaba content, which is my absolute favorite and a staunch rarepair.

That's all my official stuff for now! I'm getting those Kei Mochizuki postcards in so I can finally get a good scan of the Ibuki/Mikan art from that collection, and I've tracked down a couple other things that I'm really excited about getting my hands on if they're still around for once I get paid!

As far as I'm concerned, you're free to use these scans in any fan project - just obviously don't use them in anything you're making money off of.

Reread Equal Rites recently. I used to think it was about feminism and little girls getting the same opportunities as little boys. Which, it isn't not about that. But ALSO.

It's about an intersex kid.

It's about a little girl born with a staff.

And that's Not Right.

The adults in the room- her father, the 'medical professional'- attempt to remove the staff, by blade and by fire. The fresh little baby SCREAMS. So they agree to pretend it doesn't exist. She'll probably grow up just a regular little girl.

right?

But just around the onset of puberty..... it becomes apparent, not to her, but to the adults, that she's not going to be Regular.

The medical professional tries again to rectify matters. She tries to destroy the staff while the girl is unconscious. The girl screams. The adults give in. They aren't monsters.... but life will be so much harder, so much less foreseen, for this strange little girl....

They try to raise her 'right'.

If she won't be a conventional woman... maybe an unconventional woman. A Powerful woman- in the way that women can be powerful. Are permitted to be powerful.

But she's not a woman- she's a child. What will she be, when she's grown? A Witch. A Wizard. She can't be either. She can't be neither.

(The term 'warlock' is repeatedly invoked and scoffed. The etymology of 'warlock' is 'breaker of oaths'. Counter to the covenant. Rulebreaker.)
