This is the reader or the LMK x Pokemon Trainer Reader, which will actually be a part of my Show Me Your Moves series on my AO3, possibly under the name All The Right Moves, but that might change. This version would be a more romantic version than platonic, with the Love Interest list at the bottom. THE LOVE INTERESTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE, YOU CAN REQUEST CHARACTERS BE ADDED ON.
Reader is a Pokemon Ranger Trainer from the Kalos Region. Their starter Pokemon is a Delphox. They also have Linoone, Fletchinder, Goomy, Sylveon, and Lopunny on their team. Reader’s main gimmick is Mega Evolution, with Lopunny capable of it.
Their gimmick pokemon is Zoroark, which they’ve had since childhood, and their fossil Pokemon is Aurorus, which they’ve revived themselves.
Due to being a Pokemon Ranger Trainer, Reader is very diligent, hardworking and down to get serious.

A Pokémon Game idea Me and a Friend had: Pokémon Rainbow (Name is a work in progress)
So I'm just minding my business in class, and then a thought came to me: What if The Champion in a pokémon game was evil and Evil Team was just Team Plasma if they were genuine?
I pitched the idea to one of my friends, and then we started bouncing off each other and came up with Pokemon Rainbow, Where the Elite 4 and The Champion are just jerks, but no one can really do anything since they're way too strong, and the Evil Team Leader used to know The Champion and just wants thing to go back to what they used to be.
We even came up with dual type Gyms or Gym Leaders with themes, like:
The Water Type Gym Leader is an Ocean Cleaner, so they also have Poison Type Pokemon. They start with stuff like Corphish, and Remoraid, but end with Trubbish, and their Ace is Skrelp.
The Electric Type Gym Leader is a News Reporter with "Eyes in the Sky" (Flying Types). You bring a Ground type to an Electric Gym, and the guy just sends out a Togetic with Air Slash.
The Fairy Type Gym Leader is a Sorcerer/Carnival Fortune Teller (we don't know yet), who uses Dark Types, for Dark Magic. They have a Sylveon and their Ace is Gardevoir, but they have Malamar, Grimmsnarl, and Mimikyu (I like Mimikyu)
The Rock Type Gym Leader is an Archeologist, being haunted by ghosts for disturbing their tombs. The guy has Cofagrigus, Golurk, Some Fossil Pokemon, basically Roark if he had an Ouija Board.
Sorry if this feels Rambling, I just wanted to get an idea out there. Also, I have no idea what the Rival's deal is.

Poketwst: Livia team
Vaporeon(Female)
Moves: Hydro Pump, Ice beam, Swift, Aqua ring
Description: Vaporeon has been Livia's partner since she was three years old, both finding performances fun and wanting to do it together and thus started their training so they could finally perform along side each other.
Rockruff > Lycanroc(Male, Midnight Form)
Moves: Stone edge, Crunch, Counter, Dig
Description: Livia's most loyal teammate, Rockruff was given to her by Nilo before she left for NRC. He initially wasn't good at dancing as a Rockruff, stumbling around and tripping over himself but became Livia's best dancer after evolving, remembering all their practices, putting his heart and soul into each move. He evolves during a battle with the Roseheart twins.
Piplup > Prinplup(Male)
Moves: Whirlpool, Drill peck, Metal claw, Mist
Description: Prinplup is another best dancer, learning as a Piplup through Lycanroc and Livia and honing his skills better once he evolves. He hatched from an egg Azul had been taking care of but gave away since he didn't hatch and has been with Livia since then. He evolves to rescue Kalim and Azul from Jamil's Salazzle, tanking the attack and taking her out.
Larvitar(Male)
Moves: Hyper beam, Iron head, Outrage, Rock throw
Description: An unevolved pokemon on Livia's team. He refuses to evolve in fear of turning against his trainer and wanting to help her win performances as himself and not as any of it's evolutions. He's close with Noibat as both refuse to evolve and even more so after Noibat evolves.
Noibat > Noivern(Male)
Moves: Wing attack, Screech, Whirlwind, Dragon rush
Description: Noibat was a gift from Malleus and has been on Livia's team ever since, participating in her first performance and earning her the win. He initially refused to evolve but let himself do so when Livia was in danger of being put to sleep by Malleus and flew her to safety far from the island.
Joltik > Galvantula(Male)
Moves: Electro web, Discharge, Slash, Electro Ball
Description: Joltik was taken in by Livia after Vil and a few Pomefiore members somewhat freaked out over him being in the dorm. He was a cute asset to Livia's team and helps her win her second princess key. He evolves in a battle with OB Idia using his discharge to stun the male for a few seconds and using his webs to save Vil/Golden who both leapt down after Idia.
~~Released Pokemon~~
Maractus(Female)
Moves: Mega Drain, Solar Beam, Sweet scent, Synthesis
Description: Maractus was with Livia for a brief moment before deciding she wanted to be on Jack's team and was traded away being switched with Amaura who was revived from a fossil Jack had found when he was somewhat younger.
Amaura > Aurorus(Female)
Moves: Aurora Beam, Take down, Mist, Ancient power
Description: Traded to Livia from Jack, Amaura was one of Livia's most trustworthy and loyal teammates. She trained with Vaporeon to help with performances and even participated in Livia's unofficial performance. She later evolves after Livia's first performance in a battle against Neige's Togekiss, turning into Aurorus and showing off her real strength. She later says goodbye to Livia and the others, staying at S.T.Y.X with the Shrouds as a guard but will make another appearance with Idia.

[It goes without saying that all of their pokémon are struggling. With one of their trainers missing and the other barely holding it together, unable to explain anything to the critters, they're all anxious; some depressed, some irritable. They do their best to maintain focus and follow Emmet's lead, but Engine and Snail especially seem to be having a difficult time. It makes sense. They were more partial to Ingo, after all, even if the twins regularly shared the work of taking care of them all, and traded pokémon between each other for battle. A good few members of their shared party did have preferences to one brother over the other.
A chain reaction started with Engine hovering in one particular spot of the central area of Gear Station, seemingly fixated on nothing. Her flames burned hotter as she flew aimlessly in circles, possibly searching, but never able to take any action, up until she would be inevitably redirected and led elsewhere. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the flooring itself, yet.. It is right around where Ingo's pokéballs were left scattered over the floor.
Engine took to doing this almost every time she was let out within the station. It wasn't a huge issue at first, outside of being incredibly disconcerting, until one day Snail abruptly takes notice to this. Being the smart little mole she is, she seems to draw her own conclusions from the behavior, and immediately, just moments after Engine is ushered away again, he slams his massive claws into the concrete and gets to work. She can decimate this floor if she wants to, and the ruckus of her slashing and drilling with little discretion alarms employees passing by, not to mention probably Emmet himself. She doesn't stop even as various trainers attempt to intervene, she's adamant, growling as she gets a divot into the floor- only to be cut short by getting withdrawn into her ball.
Now there's a mess to clean and a hole to patch.
Maybe it's best that all pokémon stay stored away until they reach the trains.
In the aftermath, Snail sits quietly with Emmet in his office once let out again. There's still grit on his claws. "...." She's curled up in a ball, off to the corner of the room. Bitterness seems to roll off of her in waves, frustrated to have been stopped when she truly believed she was so, so close to getting a lead on Ingo down there.]
[The sun beamed overhead, blotted out by a canopy of green trees. It should be hot out, but with the shade on them and a breeze going, it's very pleasant. Perfect fossil hunting weather!
Ingo and Emmet looked rather different back then; much smaller, scrappier. Back when Ingo was Circe, and Emmet was Linnea. Their hair came down to just above their shoulders, and the pair were dressed in complimentary colored overalls as they scampered through the forest with a wagon in tow, looking for a potential fossil deposit they haven't combed over yet. Eventually, they settled on a creek bed, the water level lower than usual in response to the summer heat.
They didn't like getting dirty all that much. The feeling of mud under fingernails could make either of them cringe, and making too much of a mess would make their parents fuss at them. For the sake of finding their first companion, though, it definitely had to be worth it.
"The book said fossils are usually close to water, yes?" Circe asked, swiping through clumps of mud and rocks, searching. "Why..? Not all fossil pokémon are water types."
"Yes." Linnea replied quietly, smiling over to her. "The sediment," She sat back on the grass, doing a little demonstration with her hands as Circe watches intently. Making a little flowing gesture with one hand, she tries to show how the running water carries sediment over fossils (reprisented by the other) and covers them.
"Oooh.. Right!" Circe chirped, scooping up a new handful of stones to look over. "Then this has to be the perfect spot- I think we'll find one this time! Full steam ahead!"
As the pair continued their search, Circe wound up moving further down along the creek, though the pair remained well within view of one another. Not much seemed to be happening, other than them finding a few particularly pretty rocks, before a rustling sound grabbed her attention. "Hmm...?" Circe got up and dusted herself off, trotting over towards the noise.
"Ah-- Linnea! LINNEA! Look!" She shouted suddenly, voice brimming with excitement. Linnea, of course, got up and scrambled over to see, but only just in time to catch a glimpse of something diving into the dirt. "Oh. I think I scared them.." ...Some things really never changed. Still, she called out again, at least softer this time. "I apologize, drilbur! I didn't mean to scare you."
The dirt shuffled before them for a minute or two. Linnea hugged her sister's arm, trying to comfort her dejected twin, both of them watching intently. Both of them let out a gasp of delight when the drilbur suddenly popped their head back up, blinking at the two suspiciously. "Brrrr?"
"Hello!" Circe's face lit up. Linnea shifted weight between her feet, her free arm swinging back and forth with barely contained excitement. "Why aren't you in a cave? Drilbur don't belong out here." She questioned, entirely unbothered by being unintentionally rocked back and forth by the movement.
"...." Drilbur lifted one arm above the dirt, showing off a marred claw. "Brbrr.." They whined.
Linnea pointed to the injury with a quiet "ow", and Circe nodded.
"You got hurt.. we can help!" Determination twinkled in her eyes, and she looked over to her twin for confirmation, getting an eager nod and smile in response. "We'll take you to the pokémon center! But when we're done, please help us find fossils!"
Drilbur looked between the girls. Their nose wiggled, whiskers twitching. After a moment, they chambered out of their little hole in the dirt and waddled over, peering up at the duo.
"YES-- BRAVO! Yay! Thank you!" Circe shouted again, hands flapping, while Linnea was bouncing up and down on her toes. Drilbur chirped the excitement.
They led the little critter to their wagon. "All aboard!" Their voices synced up as they helped drilbur on. The pair, now a dirt-covered trio, trekked off towards the nearest pokémon center. There, they could heal their new friend, maybe buy a pokéball to put them in, and return to their fossil hunting duties.
As they walked, Circe took notice to how strangely full Linnea's overall pocket was. "Linnea? Did you find something?"
She held her pocket open to reveal the contents.. which was a collection of rocks she'd picked up during her search, all either with interesting patterns, or bizarre formations.".. They are pretty." She murmured with a grin, picking one out and handing it to Circe. Then, she took another and placed it next to drilbur.]
[Snail lets out a loud sigh. Then slowly, he picks his head up to look at Emmet. Underneath the edge of his horn, you can get a glimpse of softness in her eyes, whiskers drooping. She ambles over to the man's side, sitting by his feet instead of the corner. "Wrrr..."
Whatever Emmet was remembering, Snail seemed to be remembering the same thing.]
[ The rocks upon the sand were gorgeous, but she had known better. She couldn't be sure that her sibling would realize, all caught up in the excitement with her new friend. But the stone in her hands was a deep purple, almost seeming to engulf the sunlight with shadow like a black hole. The stone still hidden in Linnea's pocket sparked in her grasp, still charged from the waves that crashed over it.
The little orb handed over to the Drilbur was almost perfectly round, glowing with an orange inner ring.
They would be perfect for them, she thought. And perfect they were. ]
... I’m sorry.
( he laughs, wiping his eyes dry with his arm. caught acting so unprofessionally when there's people to make smile.
when he has pokémon to make smile. )
I’m being such a downer, huh .ᐣ I’m fine .ᐟ Promise.
( he reaches down, running has hand along the horn on snail's head. the cold steel seeping through his glove nearly makes him tear up again ... how silly of a thing to get worked up over. )
Sorry about having to cut your line short back there, too. But the money for the repairs is coming out of my own pockets. Not to mention how much of a safety hazard it is.
( his tone is deceptively light as he gives snail a few more pats, before sitting back up. from on his desk wuppertal squacks at him inquisitively, head tilted to the side. he likes to be above the ground, but no longer fits on emmet's head. seriously! emmet didn't know he'd grow to be that huge.
he reaches over to pet the archeops' head, his smile and sigh wistful. )
[ “Oof — .ᐟ” Linnea went crashing to the ground, the walk back home completely disrupted. Mom is totally gonna ask how she managed to get the entire front of her white (but mostly stained) outfit caked in dirt. From in front of her was an alarmed call of her name, and behind her was a worried squeak. “I’m okay .ᐟ” she’d assured, though her knees hit the ground hard.
She gripped onto her sibling’s hands, the support allowing her to stand up. She was busy brushing her knees off and wincing at the sting, when the little Drilbur behind her seemed to ... cry? “What’s wrong.ᐣ” Circe had asked, tilting her head like some sort of bird. Drilbur lowered his snout, remorseful.
“Oh .ᐟ” Linnea skipped over to where the Drilbur was half-buried in the dirt. “Were you the thing that tripped me .ᐣ It’s fine .ᐟ It’s just an accident.” The Pokémon peeked out a bit more, seemingly reassured, though the child peered closely at her paws. “What’s that you got there .ᐣ”
Drilbur lifted the item between his paws up and out of the dirt, showing it off with a smile. Linnea didn’t have to look over it twice to know that it was the fossil she had been looking for. ]
I’ll be okay.

[ID: a short illustrated comic laid out over two images. The first image shows a cross-section of an area, starting with a scrubland under a light blue sky and ending with a large cave below it. Smaller images, showing a drop of water’s progression off a stalactite and into a body of water, are drawn in squares and laid down the centre of the image. The phrase “caves / that, once, / were rivers” is written between these smaller images (the forward slash represents where each line ends). The second image shows three rectangular drawings of layers of rock with several types of fossils embedded in them. Beneath them is the phrase “do not forget” (a continuation of the sentence from the last image), and beneath that is a drawing of ghost-like extinct marine animals swimming through a cave system. /End ID]

Pokémon Arty’s team:
Sharky (Shedinja): Their ace. Arty loves it and will hear no bad words against it despite the species supposedly stealing souls if you look into their backs.
Knows Dig, Phantom Force, X-Scissor, and Metal Claw. Holds a Focus Sash.
Despite being their ace, Sharky is actually sent out first to wear challengers down until they get past its Wonder Guard ability.
Her Majesty (Vespiquen): Arty laughs like their Vespiquen’s cry. They find the comparison to the slightly unsettling Pokémon flattering.
Knows Power Gem, Attack Order, Air Slash, and Toxic Spikes. Holds a Charti Berry.
Usually sent out second, potentially to set up toxic spikes once Arty has a better idea of the challenger’s team makeup.
Cozy (Volcarona): Patiently raised from a Larvesta egg, this moth is one of the gentlest of Arty’s Pokémon but also one of the most powerful.
Knows Sunny Day, Heat Wave, Hyper Beam, and Solar Beam. Holds a Heat Rock.
Usually sent out third, to set up an extended bout of harsh sunlight and potentially sweep a challenger’s team.
Rocky (Armaldo): A calm fossil Pokémon who Arty longs to give more companions of his own kind.
Knows X-Scissor, Protect, Earthquake, and Stone Edge. Holds Leftovers.
Ideally sent out during an extended harsh sunlight from Cozy to help mitigate his water type weakness.
Seabiscuit (Scolipede): While even of temperament, this megapede Pokémon is still a force to be reckoned with.
Knows Megahorn, Dig, Poison Jab, and Venom Drench. Holds a Toxic Orb.
Generally sent out after the extended harsh sunlight has faded and will not aggravate its fire type weakness.
Vorpal (Scizor): The most aggressive of Arty’s Pokémon, sharing their own enthusiasm for battle.
Knows Lunge, Close Combat, Iron Head, and Night Slash. Holds a King’s Rock.
Sent out last and mega evolved, Vorpal is the final challenge for anyone hoping to defeat the Elite Four’s bug-type expert.

Ecology, Written Response to The Word for World Is Forest
For this project we started out by reading a book, That book being, The Word for World is Forest by Ursula Le Guin, The idea to then create a print based on the themes within that book, Exploring more into those and how they then link into the world we live in, There were many themes however I focused more on the idea of Humans VS Nature and the clash that often happens, The aftermath of exploitation of resources and how that effects the environment and ecosystems.
The Word for World is Forest, A book exploring alternative worlds and realities. The book explores the ideas of colonisation, new worlds, relationships between different groups, capitalism, different realities, dreams, gender, humanity and alot more. This is through the idea that humans have destroyed their own world, Used all of their own resources and now have set out to take resources from others who have been more careful with the natural environment (Teaching Climate Change, May 2020). Although the book is short there is a vast variety of topics that get explored, These topics are very common in lots of books and films such as the Avatar Film which came out in 2009. (TMFF, 2023)
Within this book both Utopias and Dystopias as explored, through the destruction humans leave behind under the control of ‘Captain Davidson’ the character that can be considered the Villain within this book. The Utopian world “New Tahiti” or as known by the ‘Athsheans’ as “Athshe” which translates to forest. The idea of Utopias being “an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect.” and dystopias being “an imagined state or society in which there is great suffering or injustice, typically one that is totalitarian or post-apocalyptic.” (Oxford Languages, 2024)
The book was written in 1968 and the themes within are very bold and are often still seen in the current world. The books written by Ursula Le Guin uses the idea of alternative realities and worlds, However typically there is always a villain, in this case ‘Captain Davidson’ the person in charge of the Humans set out to destroy another place having already destroyed their own planet, This is relevant as in todays world typically people move on as soon as something is of no use with little regard for the actual issues that they have caused. Often this is due to selfishness of humans which is what the book is also about. A source speaking about Earth Day, The idea of “Earth Day is an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earths natural resources for future generations. The first Earth Day was held April 22, 1970.”(National Geographic Society, n.d.) The site stated “We fill in wetlands to build neighborhoods, slash and burn acres of forests, drill for fossil fuels and corral animals into tiny cages to provide us with food to eat” (The Current, April 2018). This quote is appropriate in describing how people will destroy environments in order to build something purely for their own benefits.
I found this book to be very interesting, and very straight to the point which helped with understanding what was happening, The way the book was written in my opinion allowed for a lot of imagery in the way places were described. A quote I believe helps to show this is ‘Thinning the mud to a red broth that ran down rocks into the rain-beaten sea.” (Ursula Le Guin, The word for World is forest, chapter 1, 1968).
Tumblr media
The Word for World is Forest has had many covers since being released, Many of which perfectly capture both the vastness and beauty of nature. They vary massively as some have a more realistic look which could be said to be more mature in terms of the image, However, some of the covers have a more sci-fi feel like the cover in Figure 1. Still, on the topic of imagery, the covers set the theme for the rest of the book, In terms of the colours and images they used. They set out the idea of multiple realities and people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the print relating to the book by author Ursula Le Guin, I focused on the idea of the Nature and Human divide. More specifically the idea of the machinery, and the destruction that they then leave behind as well as the idea that very often humans feel they can just continue to take until what they leave behind is nothing but ruin,  More specifically I looked at the idea of illegal tree logging as it leaves large amounts of destruction behind, with ecosystems being completely destroyed, Happening in a large number of countries (World Wild Life, n.d.).The main idea in the Ursula Le Guin book is that the trees have all been exploited so they travel somewhere else to get them which is why I chose to look at tree logging for the Human, Nature divide (Teaching Climate Change, May 2020). The images seen in Figure 4 are the prints produced during this project, The idea was ‘What Machines leave behind’, How trees, Places, and things are so easily destroyed and just left to be forgotten. The border is different parts of machines, Nuts, Bolts, Springs, and screws, They encase the trees that have been cut down. I find the most successful print being the bottom left corner with the red colour as it shows the burning world that gets left behind. That colour also makes the image darker where as the other three appear to be very bright in appearance which does not fit the theme that I intended to create for this project.
Tumblr media
My first attempt at a print can be seen in Figure 5, this print is of a factory which then has plants growing out of it, it is the opposite of the second print from Figure 4 which was the aftermath of humans whereas this is more from the idea of nature fighting back this idea came from an image called ‘Life Goes On - Nature Fights Back’ by Taha ALasari, (Deviant Art, October 2012).
To conclude, The book provided a very good stepping stone to create a print from, it helped with gaining understanding of the themes that could be approached within the print. The book itself was very interesting with the ideas of multiple worlds and exploitation of resources resulting in clashes of different groups and how the selfishness of some impacts people in negative ways, It is relevant to life outside of the book. The overall project was very interesting as I have never used a book for inspiration and ideas before. I found it very interesting, and even if not fully sure about the outcome of the print the general idea of the project was interesting and I would attempt the same method again as I think it made the physical part of this project much easier to plan and produce.

Chapter 8: An Angry Showdown! Save The Millennial Dragons!
(episode 61)
"Man, you're stubborn!" Luffy remarked to Eric, as the latter loomed over the group.
"Yeah," He grinned, "I very nearly drowned to death." He spread his arms out. "Just look at this beautiful radiance! Isn't it marvelous?! This is all Dragonite, the legendary elixir of immortality!"
"But breaking these fossilized Millennial Dragons won't produce anything usable!" Nami protested.
"Yes, so I hear. But there is more than enough live Dragonite here!" His focus stayed on the flying and grazing dragons behind them, including the newborn. "What do you say? A pointless fight would only be tiring. How about we make a deal to split the treasure?"
"No," Luffy replied bluntly.
"Do you not want eternal life?!"
"Not interested."
"Me neither," Venus chimed in.
"You lie!" Eric yelled desperately. "There's no one who's not afraid of dying! Three of us may have Devil Fruit powers, but a pirate's life is always only inches from death! There's no way you can't be afraid of dying!"
"I dunno," Zoro smirked, "He's the kind of guy who'd die smiling, doing what he does."
"Oh... fine then! You can sit there, and watch as I take my Dragonite and leave!"
"No!" Apis ran over.
"Stop right there, girl!" Eric launched a Sickle attack at her.
She was close to getting cut, but Usopp tackled her to the ground, so she was unharmed. "Apis!"
"U-Usopp!"
"Usopp!" Venus' eye widened.
"D-don't be reckless, Apis!"
"Even if it's reckless, I have to protect them! This is a very important place for the Millennial Dragons! I'm going to protect this place forever, and ever!" She cried. Luffy nodded in approval, and turned back to Eric.
"So you insist on defying me, huh." Everyone stayed silent. "In that case, you can all die! Sickle-Sickle... Whirlwind!"
Usopp held Apis to protect her, but Luffy jumped in, and took the brunt to the chest. After he was on his knees with cuts on his chest, they looked up. "Luffy!"
Zoro prepared to draw a sword, but the captain stood on his feet, a serious look in his eyes. "I'll deal with him."
"But, Luffy!" Nami tried to protest.
"I promised him!" Luffy insisted, and ran in for a battle, rotating his arm.
"I don't think so! Sickle-Sickle..."
"Gum-Gum..."
"Whirlwind!"
"Pistol!"
Luffy ended up with cuts all over, punching the rock, as Eric acrobatically jumped up on top to avoid harm. "Luffy!" Venus exclaimed.
"You can't hit me, rubber man!" Luffy brought his arm back to regular length. "Well? Are my wind slashes sharp enough for you?" He prepared to strike again. "Run or hide wherever you want; there's no escape! Now, how will you dodge this?"
"This guy's pretty tough," Zoro remarked.
"Is Luffy in trouble?!" Usopp expressed concern for the captain.
"Luffy..." Apis watched in worry.
"Sickle-Sickle... Wind Slash!" Luffy didn't move. "Rapid Fire!" Rock was broken, and thick slashes marred the ground.
"I'm not gonna run, or hide!" He boldly sprinted towards the line of fire.
"Fool! Go ahead, and get chopped up!"
Luffy bore through receiving even more cuts, and leaped up with a yell. The others felt the gust of wind, but were unharmed. "Gum-Gum...!" He grabbed Eric's shoulders.
"W-what?!" He panicked.
Luffy drew his head back, stretching his neck, and came right back. "... Bell!" He delivered a brutal headbutt, breaking his shades. "And... Bazooka!" He readied his arms, and rocketed him away into the sky. "I win!"
"Alright, Luffy!" Venus cheered.
Apis beamed brightly. "You did it!"
The Warship Island locals peeked over from a high ledge in shock and awe at the dragons. "What is this?!"
"Creatures like this really exist?!"
"I-it wasn't just a legend?!"
"Do you suppose this place'll sink again after a little while?" Nami guessed.
"Most likely," Venus replied.
"When it does, will the Millennial Dragons leave the island too?" Usopp wondered aloud.
"And I guess that baby Millennial Dragon will fly off somewhere, too?" Apis frowned sadly, but smiled when Bokuden laid a comforting hand on her shoulder.
He then turned to the Straw Hats. "What do you say, everyone? Won't you have some of my special pork buns before you go?"
"Oh!" Nami panicked. "Thank you! But that's okay! We gotta get back to our journey right away! Right?!"
"We do?" Luffy asked obliviously. "I wanna eat some pork- Oww!" He was cut off by Nami punching his head.
"We'll just take the recipe," Sanji offered.
"I see," Bokuden smiled, "That's too bad. It'd only take three days to prepare them too."
"T-three days?" Venus' eyebrows raised in surprise.
"I could tell you about the royal family of Lost Island in the mean-"
"We've already heard about it!" Nami interrupted urgently.
-
"Alright!" Luffy cheered when they returned to the Merry. "Set sail for the Grand Line!" He sat on the railing, as they looked down at the locals. "Apis, want to come with us?"
"I've made friends with you all, and I would like to go with you, but I'm going to stay on this island," She kindly refused, "I'm gonna learn all sorts of customs from Grandpa Bokuden, and protect the dragons' nest, just like my ancestors did before me! I'm going to wait for the baby dragons to come back here someday!"
"But those baby dragons won't be back for another, uhh..." Usopp worriedly counted with his fingers, "A-another thousand years!"
"Hey, now! Don't be so cynical!" Sanji scolded.
"No, it's okay!" Apis assured. "I won't get to see the dragons all grown up, but I'm sure my kids' kids will get to! So I'm going to keep protecting this dragon nest forever, and ever!"
"That's crazy talk!" Usopp exclaimed.
"You guys kept doing crazy stuff too, y'know!"
Venus giggled at her retort, and turned to him. "She's got a point."
"We did?" Everyone's jaws dropped at Luffy's obliviousness, before they set sail. "See ya, Apis!" He gave her a thumbs-up.
"Apis! Never forget about Usopp-sama, the brave warrior of the sea!"
"Hope we see each other again!" Venus called out.
"Bye-bye!" Nami waved in farewell.
"Bye-bye!" Apis waved both arms. "Take care, everyone!"
"See ya, Apis!"
"Bye! So long!"
"Bye-bye!"
-
"Is Apis really gonna be okay all by herself?"
"I'm sure Apis will keep the nest safe!" Nami assured Usopp. "She may be little, but she's got twice the energy and motivation of a normal person! She'll be fine!"
"You're right, Nami-san," Sanji agreed.
"She'll be okay!" Luffy beamed.
"Yeah!" Zoro chimed in.
"Because she's our friend!" Luffy added.
"She sure is," Zoro agreed.
On the island, Apis and Bokuden continued to watch them sail further and further away. "Are you sure you didn't want to go with them, Apis?"
"I'd only get in the way if I went with them," She replied, "Besides, now I have something I want to do! I'm pretty reckless too, but until I met Luffy and the others, I don't think I would've felt like I could protect this island. I thought Lost Island was just a story, and that it didn't exist, but Luffy and the others took Grandpa Ryu on a search for it. Without even doubting in the slightest that it might not even exist!" She thought back to Luffy fighting the Marines, and protecting Ryu. "I get the feeling that they taught me that if you never give up on your dreams, and try your hardest, your wishes just may come true! Everyone worked so hard, and risked their lives for their friends, who had a heart-to-heart connection! And I'm one of their friends too! So I'm going to try my hardest too!"
She turned around upon hearing snoring, and her eyes widened. "He's asleep!" She frowned in irritation, before a seagull perched on her shoulder. "Say, will you help me with my dream?" It chirped. "Thanks! Let's try our best!"
"Oh, right! If you're going to protect Lost Island, you'll need to know about your ancestors!" To her chagrin, he was awake, and about to begin one of his stories. "First, there was the first king..."
"I-I've already had enough of that!"
"Hold on, Apis! Get back here!"
"Stop!"
"You need to know about these things!"
"No!"
"Apis!"

How Blockchain is Shaping Saudi Arabia's Energy Landscape
Hey there! Blockchain, once synonymous with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, is now making waves in entirely different waters – the energy industry. And guess what? Saudi Arabia, a major player in the energy world, is riding this blockchain wave too. In this blog post, we're going to take a closer look at how blockchain technology is transforming the energy sector in Saudi Arabia, all while keeping things friendly and straightforward.
Saudi Arabia's Energy Story
First things first, let's set the stage. Saudi Arabia is renowned for its massive oil reserves, but it's also recognizing the need to embrace sustainable energy solutions and reduce its carbon footprint. According to Statista, Carbon offset/carbon credit market size worldwide in 2022 , with a forecast to 2028 states In 2022, the worldwide market for carbon offsets and credits was worth a staggering $331.8 billion. Looking ahead, from 2023 to 2028, this market is set to skyrocket at an average annual rate of 31%. It's on track to hit a whopping $1.6 trillion, and the reason? Well, everyone's pushing hard to reach those net-zero emissions goals and this is where blockchain technology comes into play, offering innovative ways to tackle some of the big challenges.
1. Tracking and Taming Carbon Emissions Just like everywhere else, Saudi Arabia is working hard to cut down on carbon emissions. Here's how blockchain is stepping in to help:
a. Clear as Crystal Emissions Data: Blockchain ensures that carbon emissions data is transparent and unchangeable. This means that everyone can trust the data, from government agencies to energy companies, fostering cooperation and accountability.
b. Embracing Clean Energy:Blockchain is making it easier for Saudi Arabia to diversify its energy mix. By creating decentralized energy markets, clean energy producers can sell their surplus power directly to consumers. This reduces the reliance on fossil fuels, which, as you know, have a hefty carbon footprint.
2. Making Carbon Credits a Breeze Carbon credits are like the green currency of the energy world. They allow organizations to balance out their emissions by investing in environmentally-friendly projects. Blockchain is stepping in to simplify the process:
a. Trustworthy Carbon Credits: With blockchain, you can be sure that carbon credits are the real deal. It keeps a rock-solid record of their creation, validation, and trading. No more shady business, just transparent and trustworthy credits. b. Sharing the Carbon Offset Love: Blockchain's fractional ownership capabilities mean that even individuals and small businesses in Saudi Arabia can get in on the action. This democratization makes carbon offsetting accessible to more people, which is fantastic for the environment.
3. Wrangling the Supply Chain                                                                       Effective supply chain management is crucial in Saudi Arabia's energy industry. Blockchain steps in to bring order to the chaos:
a. Tracking Resources Like a Pro: Blockchain allows Saudi Arabian energy companies to trace their materials from the source. This way, they can ensure that the components used in renewable energy projects are legit and eco-friendly.
b. Proving They're Green: Transparency is the name of the game here. Blockchain provides an indisputable record of supply chain activities, allowing companies to showcase their compliance with environmental regulations and commitment to sustainable practices.
  In a Nutshell
So, there you have it – blockchain is not just a geeky term anymore. It's actively helping Saudi Arabia take meaningful steps towards a greener energy future. Whether it's slashing carbon emissions, trading carbon credits, or keeping tabs on the energy supply chain, blockchain technology is making a real difference. As Saudi Arabia continues to lead the charge towards sustainability, blockchain will remain its trusted ally, simplifying and greening the energy game.
Learn how Saudi Arabia is leading the way in sustainable energy practices and join the conversation today.

Pokemon teams for your local ghost
Exactly what it says on the tin. I’ve tried to build a Pokémon team for each of the Button House ghosts.
I’ve used personality, ghost powers and time period to come up with a full team that I think makes thematic sense for everyone. Where possible, I’ve tried to give everyone the fully evolved forms of all their teammates, but this doesn’t always work out. All Pokémon have been given a Nature, Ability and Item along with a full move-set that feels appropriate for the team they’re on.
My one hard rule for myself was that everyone needed to have at least one Ghost type Pokémon on their team. Less hard but a rule I still stuck to was that everyone gets a full team of six.
This post got super long, so see below for full teams and explanations.
Robin:
Robin’s team is made up of Pokémon that could have been around 40,000 years ago. Robin was part of a hunter-gatherer society, so he would have moved around a lot and had plenty of opportunities to train and catch Pokémon in different locales. Given the presence of a whole lot more animals (and Pokémon) that would have been dangerous to humans back when Robin was alive, it was essential for him to have a pretty tough team that could help protect him from day-to-day threats His fighting style is a combination of aggressive and troll-ish, and he’s not afraid to have one of his team faint in order to deliver a finishing blow. Watch out for paralysis, increased crit ratios and sound-based moves. Just don’t expect your Ground types to be any use here.
The items on all of Robin’s Pokémon are naturally occurring and he would have had to forage for them. None of his Pokémon know any TM moves as these were several thousand years away from being invented. None of his Pokémon know any tutor moves as he wasn’t able to travel far enough to meet any tutors. He would have hollowed out his own Apricorn balls to store these critters, which I would imagine were not particularly good at staying closed. Robin does not have any Steel types because he lived in the Stone Age
 ANNIHILAPE – Fighting/Ghost - Male
Tumblr media
Adamant Nature
Ability: Defiant
 Held item: King’s Rock
Thrash
Rage Fist
Screech
Final Gambit
 EXPLOUD – Normal - Female
Tumblr media
Naughty Nature
Ability: Scrappy
 Held item: Razor Claw
Thunder Fang
Supersonic
Screech
Boomburst
 GREAT TUSK – Ground/Fighting – Unknown
Tumblr media
Impish Nature
Ability: Protosynthesis
Held item: Leftovers
Taunt
Close Combat
Headlong Rush
Substitute
 LUNATONE – Rock/Psychic - Unknown
Tumblr media
Modest Nature
Ability: Levitate
 Held item: Hard Stone
Moonblast
Moonlight
Stone Edge
Explosion
 MAMOSWINE – Ice/Ground - Female
Tumblr media
Naughty Nature
Ability: Snow Cloak
Held item: Never Melt Ice
Endure
Amnesia
Earthquake
Blizzard
 ROTOM – Electric/Ghost (Fire/Water/Ice/Flying/Grass) - Unknown
Tumblr media
Rash Nature
Ability: Levitate
Held item: Quick Claw
Thunderwave
Hex
Thundershock/Overheat/Hydro Pump/Blizzard/Air Slash/Heat Storm
Uproar
Annihilape because there’s something a bit Robin-esque about its stance. Plus, Ghost/Fighting seemed like an appropriate type combo for him to have in his team
Exploud because Robin loves to be loud, and this is as noisy as Pokémon get
Great Tusk because Robin isn’t old enough to have a fossil Pokémon nor young enough to have lived when the technology to revive them had been invented. BUT he is old enough for a Paradox Pokémon and Great Tusk reminds me of a boar and a mammoth, both of which Robin mentions as animals that were alive when he was
Lunatone for the moon.
Mammoswine because it’s a mammoth
Rotom because he needs an Electric type and seeing as he’s always messing around with the Button House electrics, he should have one that can infect different devices. The third move slot depends on what forme his Rotom takes, with Rotom formes being something he’s been experimenting with for the past hundred years or so as electronic appliances have started to appear in the house.
  Humphrey:
Humphrey is a noble from Tudor England, a time when national borders were drawn and they mattered. As such, his team is built entirely from Pokémon found in the Galar region. Pokémon used for hunting and to show off status are a must, and everyone’s into breeding their Pokémon to ensure the best possible offspring, so you’ll see egg moves galore on this team. And would you look at that! Steel types now exist!
TM’s still don’t exist and while most items are still naturally occurring, technology has come far enough (and Humphrey is rich enough to afford) incense as a held item for one Pokémon. Humphrey would have been able to afford for an artisan to make his Apricorn balls from some of the breeds that were being specifically cultivated for catching Pokémon.
 AEGISLASH – Steel/Ghost - Female
Tumblr media
Brave Nature
Ability: Stance Change
Held item: King’s Rock
King’s Shield
Shadow Sneak
Sword’s Dance
Sacred Sword
   BOLTUND – Electric - Female
Tumblr media
Hasty Nature
Ability: Strong Jaw
Held Item: Electric Gem
Nuzzle
Bite
Howl
Play Rough
   CORVIKNIGHT – Flying/Steel - Female
Tumblr media
Bold Nature
Ability: Mirror Armor
Held Item: Power Herb
Leer
Taunt
Steel Wing
Sky Attack
   HYDREIGON – Dark/Dragon - Male
Tumblr media
Mild Nature
Ability: Levitate
Held Item: Dragon Fang
Crunch
Scary Face
Outrage
Head Smash
   RAPIDASH (Galarian forme) – Psychic/Fairy - Male
Tumblr media
Serious Nature
Ability: Pastel Veil
Held item: Odd Incense
Agility
Morning Sun
Psychic
Dazzling Gleam
   ROSERADE – Grass/Poison - Male
Tumblr media
Modest Nature
Ability: Technician
Held item: Big Root
Grass Whistle
Leech Seed
Giga Drain
Extrasensory
  Aegislash - too soon?
Boltund because, as a noble, Humphrey would have considered hunting a fun pastime and he would have needed a pack of hounds to assist in this. He got the gem on Boltund from his wife as they’re available in Kalos but not Galar. Sadly, this Pokémon isn’t able to make full use of its ability due to TMs not being invented yet but the extra jaw strength does help on the hunt.
Corviknight because, during Tudor times, status was expressed through the birds of prey you flew. Also, for hunting purposes.
Hyderigon because it makes for a great coat of arms. Also, there are legends about how you can cut off one head of this Pokémon and another will appear, which I’m sure he just hates to be reminded of these days.
Rapidash because a horse would have been an essential form of transport and, being noble, Humprey would have wanted the most magnificent horse around. This stallion fits the bill.
Roserade because theatre was all the rage in Tudor England, so Humphrey would have needed in house entertainment to keep high status guests amused. This Roserade probably performer for Henry VIII
  Mary
Mary was a poor farmhand throughout her life and so her Pokémon are intended to serve a more practical purpose than battling. Which isn’t to say that she won’t try to kick your ass when the moment’s right. When she does fight, Mary plays defensive, making sure that all her attacking moves have 100% accuracy and won’t knock any health off her Pokémon with rebound. Come prepared for long, drawn out battles.
As a skilled farmer, and without much time to go foraging for other items, all of Mary’s Pokémon have a berry as a held item, which Mary probably grew herself. Because these Pokémon were caught for practicality above all else, they are all wild caught (save Morpeko, which was a gift) and so none of them have their Hidden Ability. Even if TM’s did exist yet, I doubt Mary could afford one. Like Robin, she would have needed to hollow out her own Apricorns for balls, but I would imagine she was able to do so with a cultivar better suited for catching than the ones that grow wild.
 APPLETUN – Grass/Dragon - Male
Tumblr media
Hardy Nature
Ability: Ripen
Held Item: Iapapa Berry
Protect
Apple Acid
Iron Defence
Dragon Pulse
   LAMPENT – Ghost/Fire - Female
Tumblr media
Bashful Nature
Ability: Flame Body
Held item: Petaya Berry
Will-O-Wisp
Hex
Inferno
Minimize
   LEAVANNY – Bug/Grass - Female
Tumblr media
Docile Nature
Ability: Chlorophyll
Held item: Occa Berry
False Swipe
String Shot
Leaf Blade
Me First
   MILTANK – Normal - Female
Tumblr media
Quirky Nature
Ability: Thick Fat
Held item: Ganlon Berry
Defence Curl
Milk Drink
Charm
Body Slam
   MORPEKO – Electric/Dark - Female
Tumblr media
Naive Nature
Ability: Hunger Switch
Held item: Lansat Berry
Crunch
Tickle
Agility
Aura Wheel
   SKUNTANK – Poison/Dark - Male
Tumblr media
Docile Nature
Ability: Stench
Held Item: Custap Berry
Flamethrower
Screech
Toxic
Nigh Slash
Appletun because Mary worked the fields throughout her life and apples would have been a big harvest. Plus, in a time before sugar, I bet apple-based puddings were some of her very favourite sweets
Lampent because Mary would have needed to keep a lamp lit to see what she was up to after dark. Also, as a Ghost/Fire type it comes close to being a representation of how she died. Unevolved because Dusk Stones would have been rare and expensive.
Leavanny because it’s a Pokémon known for sewing and weaving, and as a poor woman of her time, Mary would have had to make all her own clothes (and her husband’s, and her children’s) so she could use some help. Also, it helps to have a Bug type to pollinate crops in Spring.
Milkank because having a family cow for milk is always useful. Also, baby wants its nilkies...
Morpeko because Mary is usually pretty unassuming but when she gets angry, she goes apeshit
Skuntank because Mary is the stinkiest ghost, so she needs a stinky pal
  Kitty
Kitty’s a simple woman. She likes pink and purple things, she likes soft things, she likes moves that look pretty and she likes having friends. She also, every now and then, likes to kick ass. Her Pokémon’s moves tend to be selected for aesthetic or emotional reasons, so you can never be quite sure what she’s going to pull on you, and a lot of her Pokémon have been with her since she was a child. Watch out for hard hitting moves out of nowhere, and remember not to judge a book by its cover/Pokémon by its appearance
Being from the landed gentry, Kitty didn’t have to catch many of her Pokémon herself. Her father lovingly arranged for most of these critters to come into her life. As such, breeding moves are more than fair game and you’ll see that we’re getting quite advanced with some of the items Kitty’s able to use. Because she wasn’t catching her own Pokémon, Kitty doesn’t really know much about the Apricorn balls they’re stored in, beyond that they look very pretty.
 BEWEAR – Normal/Fighting - Female
Tumblr media
Adamant Nature
Ability: Fluffy
Held item: Metronome
Baby-doll Eyes
Double Edge
Superpower
Rollout
   GRUMPIG – Psychic - Female
Tumblr media
Timid Nature
Ability: Own Tempo
Held item: Protective Pads
Teeter Dance
Power Gem
Zen Headbutt
Bounce
   POLTEAGEIST – Ghost - Unknown
Tumblr media
Modest Nature
Ability: Cursed Body
Held Item: Big Root
Teatime
Sweet Scent
Giga Drain
Shadow Ball
   SAWSBUCK (Spring forme) – Normal/Grass - Male
Tumblr media
Brave Nature
Ability: Serene Grace
Held item: King’s Rock
Horn Leech
Headbutt
Zen Headbutt
Energy Ball
   TINKATON – Fairy/Steel - Female
Tumblr media
Careful Nature
Ability: Moldbreaker
Held Item: Clear Amulet
Sweet Kiss
Play Rough
Ice Hammer
Gigaton Hammer
   VIVILLON (Meadow forme) – Bug/Flying - Male
Tumblr media
Timid Nature
Ability: Friend Guard
Held Item: Destiny Knot
Safeguard
Bug Buzz
Quiver Dance
Hurricane
Bewear because it gives the best hugs! Kitty just wants to cuddle a giant teddy bear and really, who wouldn’t?
Grumpig because you know Kitty had to raise a Spoink out of morbid curiosity to see if it really would die if it stopped bouncing. She never could be sure because sometimes she had to sleep, and her sister refused to take turns and watch her Pokémon while she was napping. All the same, Kitty is very fond of her Grumpig and has had it wearing the Protective Pads since it was a Spoink to help it not die from reasons unrelated to bouncing.
Polteageist because you need tea to have a tea party with your friends. Once upon a time, Kitty’s father gave her and her sister each a Sinistea, not realising that one was an Antique and the other a Phony. Kitty got the Antique and her sister talked her into trading, thinking she was being oh so very clever, but it turns out Kitty didn’t care whether she had the genuine article or not, she just likes her teapot Pokémon.
Sawsbuck because it evolved from Kitty’s first ever Pokémon - a pretty pink Deerling that she BEGGED her father for. It has a classic kid’s set up of all damaging moves with a redundant second Grass type attack, all because Kitty thought she was being very clever by picking moves that worked well with her Pokémon’s ability.
Tinkaton because it is the most Kitty-core Pokémon to ever exist. She is going to crush you with her little pink pal. And oh look! It’s wearing pretty jewellery
Vivillon because scooping up caterpillars in the grounds can sometimes give you a pretty pink butterfly.
  Thomas
I tried to give everyone a good team but that simply wasn’t possible here because Thomas is not a good trainer. His Pokémon like him as much as can be expected but they’re not well set up for winning battles, much as Thomas will swear blind that he’s working on a killer strategy that never seems to involve changing anything about his line-up. Expect to defeat him easily, though if anything’s going to give you trouble it’s his Charizard.
Thomas’s ability to relate to his Pokémon, or to see something poetic in their nature, is far more important to him than selecting Pokémon which might actually improve his standing. He believes that tragedy makes people and Pokémon alike stronger, but so far, he hasn’t proven this on the battlefield or in his poetry. Still no TMs, still unable to access a lot of held items and poor Thomas doesn’t really understand how Abilities or Held Items work. His Apricorn balls are made by someone else and bought on the cheap. He’s always grumbling about how Byron could have afforded better balls.
 BANETTE – Ghost - Male
Tumblr media
Adamant Nature
Ability: Insomnia
Held Item: Dark Gem
Spite
Will-O-Wisp
Hex
Role Play
   CHARIZARD – Fire/Flying - Male
Tumblr media
Rash Nature
Ability: Blaze
Held Item: Charcoal
Smokescreen
Air Slash
Scary Face
Flare Blitz
   CUBONE – Ground - Male
Tumblr media
Lonely Nature
Ability: Lightning Rod
Held Item: Thick Club
False Swipe
Stomping Tantrum
Focus Energy
Bonemerang
   SMEARGLE – Normal - Female
Tumblr media
Lax Nature
Ability: Moody
Held Item: Full Incense
Fake Tears
Metronome
Present
Sketch
   UNFEASANT – Normal/Flying - Male
Tumblr media
Hasty Nature
Ability: Rivalry
Held Item: Destiny Knot
Leer
Feather Dance
Roost
Sky Attack
   YAMASK – Ghost - Male
Tumblr media
Quirky Nature
Ability: Mummy
Held Item: Stone Plate
Crafty Shield
Grudge
Shadow Ball
Destiny Bond
Banette because it has been discarded and is looking for someone to love it and Thomas can relate so hard
Charizard because its whole line will die if the fire that powers them goes out and Thomas can relate so hard. This one’s holding the Charcoal Thomas used to doodle with between poems
Cubone because its whole deal is being sad and Thomas can relate so hard
Smeargle because if you’re an artist of any kind you need the Painter Pokemon on your team. As you can see, Thomas hasn’t been very successful in Sketching decent moves with his, and he has misunderstood the purpose of a Full Incense, but he’s certain that newly open Sketch slot is going to bring him glory
Unfeasant because Thomas needs somewhere to get feathers for his quills.
Yamask because it is always crying about the person it could have been and Thomas can relate so hard. Here he’s misunderstood the type of his Pokémon but he thinks an Arceus Plate adds prestige
  Fanny
Fanny has always preferred animals (Pokémon) to people. What’s more, as a very intelligent and wildly under stimulated woman in a loveless marriage, she became a very good Pokémon trainer. Her team is almost entirely made up of Pokémon based off real world animals and she is a lot closer to being competitively viable than the rest of the ghosts. Expect everything to be thrown at you. Absolutely everything.
Once she was married, Fanny’s finances would have allowed her access to all sorts of fascinating new items now available in the modern age. Breeding and trading from other regions were also no object to the woman trying to have it all with her Pokémon. This of course extended to the latest in Apricorn ball and Pokéball technology, as the first non-organic balls would have been in circulation towards the end of her life. And what’s this? Metagross has an extremely modern move on it. HMs have now been invented!

   TALONFLAME – Fire/Flying - Female
Tumblr media
Jolly Nature
Ability: Flame Body
Held Item: Focus Sash
Flare Blitz
Defog
Roost
Brave Bird
Basculegion because a frail male Pokémon that can still do a huge wop of damage is something that probably resonates with Fanny. I bet she feeds it lots of bitter food and it absolutely hates her.
Incineroar for Apollo the tiger. Plus, it’s one of the most dominant Pokémon in competitive play and has been since its introduction. No way Fanny would be foolish enough to go without one.
Metagross because it’s wickedly smart and very good in competitive play. As a maths whizz, Fanny needs to make sure she’s got a biological super-computer on her side.
Mudsdale for Montague the horse! This isn’t a Pokémon that’s seen quite so much competitive play as her first two, but she loves it and understands the value of having a solid Ground type on the team.
Stoutland for Dante, and because anyone who isn’t scared of this tanky little dog has never had one pop up on the Battle Subway. There’s nothing flashy about Normal types, but they’re a pain to get off the field.
Talonflame for Jasper the Falcon. Another Pokémon that has seen good competitive use over the years. This one, of course, relies on its speed to sweep
  The Captain
When it comes to Pokémon, The Captain is not a particularly complex man. He likes soldiers, so he gravitates towards Fighting types, and he likes defenders, so he gravitates towards Steel types. Appearances are very important to him, so he leans towards Pokémon that give the appearance of being soldiers more than anything. Safe to say, his team isn’t particularly diverse, and you’ll only need a couple of counters to take him down. But if you don’t bring those counters? Expect a world of pain. The Captain’s Pokémon are well trained and always opt for moves that cause the most damage, even if they damage the user. Expect suicide strats and Hail Mary’s and a trainer who treats this as life or death.
The Captain’s Pokémon were probably trained on the Button House grounds, with some to all of them being military issue. A limited number of TM’s had been invented by the time he died, so you’ll see some moves out with standard learn-sets starting to crop up. He would have had access to standard issue British Army Pokéballs so that’s what all his Pokémon are kept in.
 BISHARP – Dark/Steel - Male

Play Rough
Pain Split
 SIRFETCH’D – Fighting - Male
Tumblr media
Brave Nature
Ability: Scrappy
Held Item: Leftovers
Knock-Off
Swords Dance
Brave Bird
Meteor Assault
Bisharp because it’s got that straight backed, stiff upper lip temperament that The Captain loves so much. Of course, he hasn’t evolved it, he’s looking for soldiers, not commanders (also evolving Bisharp is hard)
Ceruledge because it’s got that knight in shining armour swag and literally has blades for hands so it can’t help winning fights
Falinks because it’s a little soldier Pokémon that gets in formation and stays in formation
Mimikyu because it has a secret which it hides beneath an exterior it thinks people can’t see through
Sirfetch’d because it’s a proper soldier that comes to battle with its weapon in hand
  Pat
Pat has picked most of his Pokémon for how much help they could be in teaching badge-worthy skills to a group of Scouts, or by how hungry they make him. Being ruled by your stomach doesn’t always pay off when it comes to picking Pokémon, as it turns out, and a few critters that Pat would have liked to have kept on for companionship reasons wound up becoming final evolutions that might actually have some battle utility simply so he could stop thinking about eating them. Who’d have guessed? Expect a mixed bag when battling Pat. You can never be quite sure why he added a particular Pokémon to his team so some are well set up to kick ass and some are...not.
We’ve hit the 70′s! More TMs are on the market and while not cheap, they’re widely available. Pretty much all held items are also now up for grabs, with some being more expensive than others. Pat is proud of his foraging skills though (he’s got the badge and everything) so when in doubt he loves sticking a good Berry or Ore on his Pokémon. Pat has his Apricorn carving badge, but I’m sure his troop would tell you that even using specialised Apricorns, the balls he makes don’t stay closed for long.
   ARCANINE – Fire - Female

   MUNCHLAX – Normal - Male
Tumblr media
Sassy Nature

Lick
Stockpile
Swallow
Amnesia
   TOGEKISS – Fairy/Flying - Female
Tumblr media
Bold Nature
Ability: Serene Grace
Held Item: Babiri Berry
Air Slash
Aura Sphere
Wish
Thunder Wave
Arcanine because Pat loves dogs, and he also has a bit of a punitive streak so giving him the signature Pokémon of cops everywhere seems appropriate
Charcadet because it was Pat’s best demonstration Pokémon for his scouts. It’s always raring to go and can show you how to build a fire in no time, plus it keeps the tent warm
Drifblim because Pat is convinced it’s a totally normal baloon. Nothing untoward here! It can held in all sorts of baloon and kite related activities and nothing bad will ever happen.
Exeggutor for eggs. Pat used to think he was never going to evolve his Exeggcute but he wanted to eat them too badly and had to switch them up for something a little less obviously edible. Exeggutor is useful for teaching young scouts how to tie grass knots, mind.
Munchlax because it’s temperament is Pat-adjacent. Another favourite of his scouts, though mostly due to the problems it caused due to eating everything not nailed down.
Togekiss because it’s another egg that Pay has had to evolve in order to stave off his munchies. Also because it pays to have at least one properly strong Pokémon on your team if you ever need to demonstrate battling.
  Julian
Julian is a dirty old man (affectionate) first and a Tory politician (derogatory) second. His team reflects these key aspects of his personality perfectly. Everything is here either for reasons of sexual innuendo or because he’s trying to swindle you, it’s really not that complicated. But, if he could stand to commit to the bit just a shade less, he might be able to put together a functional team. Expect to win against Julian, not because his Pokémon are bad but because his movesets are trash. Just know you’re going to hate the self-satisfied smirk he shoots you telling his Pokemon to use Lick.
TM’s are now a fully functional part of team building, and while they’re still pretty expensive, Julian has no qualms about spending his constituents’ money on such things. It’s Luxury Balls only for this group of horny shitposts.

  LICKILICKY – Normal - Female
Tumblr media

Power Whip
Giga Impact
  LOPUNNY – Normal - Female
Tumblr media
Naive Nature
Ability: Limber
Held Item: Blue Scarf
Baby-Doll Eyes
Bounce
Draining Kiss
Assurance
Cloyster because we all know what this Pokémon sort of looks like and Julian finds this highly amusing
Grimmsnarl because it’s a ghoulish little goblin, just like Julian
Froslass because Julian 100% would follow a pretty lady into a snowstorm
Hypno because every politician needs a sidekick who can confuse and bamboozle the opposition.
Lickilicky because Julian is a whore
Lopunny for all the reasons that make it the most likely Pokémon for you to run into some unsavoury fanart of
Some closing thoughts:
I like to think that the King’s Rock used here by Robin, Humphrey and Kitty is the same one re-found several times
Let’s not think too hard about how these Pokeon would still be alive so many years after their trainers had died. They’re alive and they can see ghosts! Woohoo!

Boulder class dragons as pokemon types
Like the stoker class post, I will assign the dragon type when appropriate.
Catastrophic Quaken: rock/flying, rock/dark, or pure rock due to the aggressive nature and how it's a Boulder in the Boulder class.
Crimson Goregutter: I want to say rock/fighting due to the tail, rocky bumps on the back, and antlers. Also the coloration and protective nature. The crimson Goregutter was designed as a prehistoric creature. Most of the fossil mon are rock type and the prehistoric Koridon is part fighting.
Eruptodon: rock/fire for obvious reasons.
Grapple Grounder: Ground/dark or ground/flying or pure ground for the name and mercilessness.
Groncicle: rock/ice for also obvious reasons.
Gronckle: pure rock, rock/flying, or rock/ground due to inherent rocky-ness and Arial mobility.
Hotburple: pure rock or rock/ground for resemblance of the Gronckle but slower and lazier.
Sentinel: rock/flying or rock/ghost for statue like body, STAB air slash, and roll of protecting Vanaheim and its residents.
Shovelhelm: ground/flying or pure ground for being trained for construction.
Snafflefang: all I got is pure rock or rock/flying for bulkiness and rock eating.
Thunderpede: rock/fighting or pure fighting for coloration, large forearms, and lack of an exoskeleton.
Whispering death: ground/dark for cave dwelling, aggressiveness, digging capabilities and just by looking at it. I can probably also have earth eater.
Screaming Death: a mix of ground dark and dragon for the same reasons for the whispering death plus the legendary status.
Faultripper from the 9 realms: ground/dragon for digging and legendary status. Plus the purple flames.
