"YOU have no enemies, you say?  Alas! my friend, the boast is poor;  He who has mingled in the fray  Of duty, that the brave endure,  Must have made foes! If you have none, 5 Small is the work that you have done.  You’ve hit no traitor on the hip,  You’ve dashed no cup from perjured lip,  You’ve never turned the wrong to right,  You’ve been a coward in the fight."

Standing on the banks of Republic of Congo looking at Democratic Republic of Congo across the river. This was for my bucket list tracking gorilla trip — and it was amazing. TW: SUICIDE
the pain is deep, the hurt is real, my mind is trapped in a prison of steel.
the weight so heavy, the burden too much, my soul is consumed by a deadly touch.
the thoughts are loud, the screams unheard, the soul shattered, the heart interred.
the whispers of death echo in my mind, the desire to escape, to leave it all behind.
the blade so sharp, the rope so tight, the pills so small, the end in sight.

How can I look at you with everything you say
What do you mean to me? Why do you run from me?
We see the birds as they fly high, up, up, up in the sky, playing their part as Mother Nature intended
Twisting turning twirling round among the twilight skies
Look at you down below stuck on devil’s earth
Yearning for the day that you will play but it never seems to come
You can’t believe why you’d be doomed to last while everyone else falls straight past
But you’re bound forever
We watch as the birds fly by, going home together
They rise and fall as days go by, with only their love for one another to keep them alive
But you’re stuck forever
The birds will drop out of the sky but I’ll be here
We’ll be here, awaiting our forever, the one that is yet to come. Together

Thou all along
Sitting in the corner
of a dim-light room
Covered with golden tints
And faint melody
echoing within my ears,
Gazing at the picture in my palm
all I could ever think of was
thou.
Years have rolled by,
time flew as fast as it could,
Yet here I stood -
Still in love,
like a phoenix soars from the fire
Always.
No matter how many times
I try to run beyond,
runaway from your thoughts
all-day,
It's always thou at night-
The one who keeps me awake,
holds me pondering;
breathing the sensation of
Love.
Reminiscing the days of joy,
The days I had loved you-
the times I could see you;
Now they appear like a
distant past,
From which I run,
Runaway.
They say love gives pain-
You taught me to find love in
aching times too.
Only all along, you never knew
That you made me a poet in distress,
a girl in love;
a soul that longed for thou -
To love.
Unrequited,
They call it.
I deny, after all -
You were my beginning,
and always will be:
One who unknowingly taught me
Love, emotions and
Myself.
I can't seem to leave you behind,
For what it's worth
You would grace my heart.
since I know,
The world does not
Stop- merely because a girl
falls in love-
Soulfully.

The outside you see calm
Tranquil
Like ice in water
Quenches your thirst
Soothes your hurt
Smiles, reassuringly
Smooth
Inside you peep
And see a blizzard
You will never know
The fragility
How breakable
Because outside you see calm

I’ve been told,
to believe in others
to give second chances
I’ve been told,
that I don’t matter
that I am worthless
I’ve been told,
to stay were I don’t belong
to never give up
I’ve been told,
that I’m too young to fall in love
that I’m a horrible friend
I’ve been told,
to believe in other people
to find faith in god
I’ve been told,
that I am no longer family
that I’m a horrible daughter
I’ve been telling myself,
that i am strong
to forget the past
that i am doing my best
to fall madly in love
ive been telling myself,
that i'm tired of being told

The devil’s diary appoints a time for us all
A death note for each and every person in the world
Some people are ready in time for their appointment
Yet others try to cut the line and get ahead or cheat
Some people never want their moment to arrive
Everyone has their own moment in the limelight

Pain
Pain. What a destructive yet wise emotion. So much to cry for, so much to learn from.
