When Halloween started I was thinking about your CarrionAu by Tim Drake and how much I love it. That's why I wanted to draw you a fanart for @polarspaz, imagining that first encounter between a Batman who kills (because he has no other option) and a traumatized cellar goblin called Tim, who would become his son/doctor/poisoner. and in the background a scarecrow who is having the worst time of his life while Tim deciphers the formula for his fear gas.

I hope you like it and again, I love all your AUs!!!

I couldn't stop imagining what the battle was like in which they managed to capture Jason. In his description, Jason was killed by the Joker and revived and Brutalized by the League of Assassins, and then released in Gotham where he unleashed a violent crime spree involving civilians as well, due to being poisoned by the well of lazarus and the indoctrination-torture of the Al Ghul and that the whole family had to combine in order to overcome him from his furious rage.

I just couldn't stop imagining headcanon about the context of the battle, :

Ok, so I figured if Jason showed up in Gotham unleashing such a violent massacre wearing the Red Hood helmet and fully covered, the Batfamily would move very quickly (and violently) to eliminate the threat, leading them to focus on stopping the new one. rogue (murder him) caring more about stopping him permanently than finding out his identity. Also, I don't think the good people left in Gotham would accept Red Hood as one of their anti-heroes if they knew he was the one who did all that violence, so I thought the Red Hood costume with the helmet would come after to help him recover from the madness of the pit. Ok, so that's why I drew the Red Hood in the Young Justice ninja outfit, because it would be easier for the mask he wears to be snatched or broken during some fight against Batfam and they could see that he wasn't just a common rogue but Jason revived, so they would decide not to be completely lethal with him, but to capture him to verify that he is Jason and help him.

Tim is not in the picture due to being a stealth-ranged fighter who is using his poison darts to try to overload the well's ability to heal Jason.

I'd really love to know what Polarspaz's thoughts are on how they captured and helped Jason though! Also a bit about Damian because the idea that he murdered Talia to escape the abuse is so interesting!!, Tim is my favorite character, but everyone else is so incredibly cool and I can't help but want to know more about them.

Ok so all of these ideas are seriously impacted by quaser and polarspaz's amazing fic which you can read here and also this one called undertow. The combined might of these two fics are giving me brainrot that could make Ethan Winters jealous.

I love seeing everyone give Leon mandibles. Seriously. Mandibles for the win. Bug boys stay winning ong frfr. BUT. I wanted to try and do something slightly different because I saw the regenerators in the remake and went JESUS CHRIST WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT ITS HORRIFYING and then proceeded to watch like 3 speculative biology videos about how they work.

I have given himb. Teef. When in doubt just add more teef this always works no exceptions.

I had some VERY OBVIOUS Xenomorph inspiration I'm not even gonna pretend like I didnt. However I am very proud of his tail. Ive essentially created a design that allows it to turn into a saw once its impaled someone. If the blade of the tail gets caught halfway through someones torso? Shaboom. The spines flex and you've got an automatic bone saw now cut that guy in half.

I also have some speculation about how the plaga itself mutates the body.

Given that in game the infecting agent is called a 'toxin' I can only assume that the plaga is mutating its hosts with a geneotoxin. A genotoxin is a chemical agent that causes chromosomal damage and/or mutations. Usually these mutations refer to cancer, but the plaga could absolutely be making something specialized to mutate a host in a way it deems beneficial. This would mean that the plaga would probably be pulling nutrients/calories/protien/WHATEVER it needs from Leons body, and using it to create and refine this toxin.

Also, the black blood vessels leads me to believe that the plaga is spreading this toxin through the cardiovascular system, so I made a diagram that includes 'barbs' in the left ventricle and left atrium. I figure the toxin would be essentially 'hitching a ride' to the oxygenated blood that would then spread throughout the entire body. That also got me thinking about how much I see Leon coughing up some kind of black substance. I think that could be his body purging materials that the plaga has deemed 'waste'. So genetic material that it doesn't think is needed would be coughed up. So. Uh. I guess he's basically coughing up his own rotten insides. That gets worse the longer I think about it.

Behold, a rudimentary in-progress outline for my most complicated WIP yet (click for readable quality). The fic's called "Red Robin: Scales of Justice" and is both a fully canon-compliant continuation of the Red Robin comic from the 2000s, and an AU where Tim discovers that his patrilineal part of the family are all drakes that were cursed into human form by a wizard many centuries ago. Rather than a standard chapter-by-chapter plan, I've structured this fic around "volumes," much like volumes of a comic book, with each one consisting of a few chapters. The current volume count is 27, but there will definitely be more (though I doubt more than 35 total). The drake concept comes from @polarspaz, though the story is my own (insofar as is possible with a canon-compliant continuation of a comic).

Resident Evil's Leon S. Kennedy getting dropped in Kaiju No. 8 would feel like a vacation to hell for him. Even moreso if he's human or an Infected with visible deformities. (I'm talking @polarspaz's Verdugo version or @beanzbeanz001's Infected iteration levels of bad.)

If Leon's human then he would be so confused at first. Raccoon City, Umbrella, and every single viral/parasitic incident doesn't even exist. Neither is the government keeping him away from an actual normal life. Sure he'll try find his way back if possible since Leon does have friends in his hellish home world. Then the man experiences his very first Kaiju attack.

An immediate 'What the Fuck' that evolves into 'This is actually worse'. Like even the worst abominations he faced could be taken down with bullets at the very least. Kaiju practically shrug off everything unless you aim for their cores but also have the firepower to pierce through.

At most Leon can do is blind and run from any attacking monster. Otherwise he's chilling in a bunker or has to join the Defense Force for a kaiju fiber power suit to defend himself. The latter would definitely be hard considering Leon has trust issues and the two tests he has to take without any proof of his existence.

Best chance the bloke has is to be noticed by someone nicely high up in the Defense Force. A plausible task although he might have to purposely endanger himself involving a Kaiju/Honju/Yoju. If he's infected then oh boy.

Leon isn't going to have a fun time as he will be mistaken for a Kaiju from his appearance. He'd also struggle fighting monsters around his size since they could have dangerous abilities even if given info about their cores. Plus I think him being infected could even worsen his situation should Leon get captured.

The Defense Force definitely won't like the idea of a possibly spreadable zombie virus/parasite on their problems to tackle. (Pretty sure everyone shivered thinking about a zombie virus spreading kaiju.) Leon would be constantly monitored with scheduled humane experiments at BEST in their custody.

Also I imagine our boy just hanging out with the family of the little girl Kafka saved in episode 2. She just sees Leon huddled in an alley behind a dumpster looking miserably. Pure sopping wet cat energy that makes her think about 'Mister Kaiju' when he asks her to go away.

Her poor mother practically having a heart attack when her daughter brings Leon home. (That lady is seriously questioning if it's appropriate to flirt with kind monster men. She was conscious enough to see Kafka.) At least Reno won't be alone in the 'keeping your inhuman friend alive' compartment.

So I have three images I’m basing his looks off of. I linked the images and accounts below. They are amazing and were very helpful in me writing these fics.

You remember what Luis told you, that they weren’t able to remove the Plaga from his chest. The man promised you that he’d find a cure but that didn’t stop the BSAA from taking Leon and putting you under observation.

And then he started to change, it was the little things at first.

Dark veins forming in his arms, his hands forming into claws. You remember hearing his screams of pain as legs bursted from his back due to the plaga.

It was hard breaking him out, that was something you rather forget.

Slowly walking towards Leon, the man’s head snapped up to look at you. His once blue eyes now a deep shade of red. Fangs poking out from his lips as his head hung low.

“Leon”

A low grumble escaped his lips, the tail he had grown wrapped tightly around his waist. He was waiting for you to come closer, you knew that. The Plaga within him was effecting him more each day. Spikes forming on his back, though the physical transformations weren’t the only changes Leon went through.

The man started to see you as his mate, something that must be protected. You knew that he would never hurt you yet you couldn’t say the same to anyone that stepped close to you.

It was getting harder for him to speak but that never stopped him from showing his affection for you the best he could.

“I love you, you know that right.”

A small, satisfied grumble moved passed his lips though it sounded more of a purr as his carefully let his clawed hand pull you close to his chest. His nose nuzzled into your neck.

His fangs grazing your neck for a moment though soon you were thrown behind his back as the front door was thrown open gun drawn on Leon.

“Chris!! Stop” A cry escaped your lips as a snarl escaped Leon’s.

The former agent now on his hands and knees in a defensive position. His jaw becoming unhinged as the spikes on his back starter to flare up. You knew you had to stop this before they both killed each other.

Squeezing your eyes shut you stepped in front of Leon only to be faced with a barrel of a gun.

“Move out of the way Y/n.”

Shaking your head you took another step forward, your were terrified but you weren’t about to let him take Leon from you. “No…I’m not not gonna let you hurt him.”

“He needs to be terminated.”

“Terminated…Chris this is Leon…He’s not a monster…”

“He killed five agents!”

“Because they were trying to kill me! He was protecting me…Chris please…please just go…we’re not…he’s not hurting anyone.” You whispered as Leon crawled towards you, his head bumped your thigh. “Please.”

Glancing at you then towards Leon, Chris lowered his gun watching you both. His gaze now on Leon, his former friend still on his knees. Part of him hated to do this, to leave a unchecked B.O.W but seeing how protective he was of you.

He has to give you a chance, give Leon a chance. He couldn’t regret this. “Don’t make me regret this.”

“You won’t.” Still holding your breath, you only relax the moment Chris stepped out of the door with a small smile and goodbye.

Turning back to Leon you then dropped to your knees in-front of him. Your own smile forming on your lips as you cupped his cheeks. A purr escaping his lips as his tail wrapped around you, the tip caressing your back gently.

Keeping your head pressed against his, your thumb caressed his cheek. “We’re free Leon.”
