Introjects of real criminals should not publicly ID with their source

This is controversial apparently, though it really shouldn't be. If you have an alter that is an introject of-- for example-- one of the Columbine shooters, don't use pics/fanart of them as your pfp or faceclaim, don't put that in your bio, don't use their full names, don't vent about missing your "sourcemates." Just... don't.

Alters aren't their source, literally. Introjects do not come from their source. They are alters who introject certain characteristics of someone or something that already exists. They do not have to ID with their source, you do not have to source separate to stop IDing with your source like that. Doing the things listed in the other paragraph are entirely done willingly and not doing them will not cause you harm. It is entirely your decision to be insensitive.

You can not claim to agree with "don't treat alters like their source" if you don't think that applies to you or "problematic" alters. It applies to all alters. Your alter being an introject of a murder does NOT make it okay for you to put that persons face and name in a cute font on your Plural Kit profile. It is not okay, it is never okay.

There is no reason at all that you need to use the face and name of a murderer with real victims as a faceclaim/pfp for your alter. There will never be anything that makes that okay. Your disorder, your trauma response, and your introjects do not make you incapable of being insensitive. You as a survivor should understand that using the face of the Columbine shooters, Ted Bundy, Jeffery Dahmer, fucking Hitler, and more is not okay. Be better.

It will be primarily dedicated to what I call 'historical' alters/factives. This is pretty flexible, historical being anything from the start of the world to the 2010s. We also accept just any and all factives, as well as systems who feel they struggle to fit in with the average community server (rather that be because of source, etc.)

Being an alter whose source characters is evil as fuck is one thing. I literally don't care at all about how evil he was because I'm nothing like that. I find it funny how miserably he failed at his tasks. And no one will bother me for trying to paint me as a bad guy for my source.

But the thing I do feel really weird about is the fact the actor for this character did some fucked up things. Despite me being sourced of the character and no relation to the actor, that is the only thing that makes me feel ugh inside. Go fucking figure.

My nickname is Forest, and I'm an adult. I'm what I call a "historical alter/introject," but I do occasionally use terms such as factive to reach a broader audience. I am not a known historical figure.

I'm very open about my 'past' as a German soldier under ww2 and will occasionally speak of my experiences and memories. I do not support nazism nor fascism. I am not a nazi. I do not support the ideals behind it, I do not support any of what was done.

I don't count as a problematic factive alter since I don't have a source of any kind, but I do have something about me that feels problematic and that I would get hate for if I talked about it. Not sure if I want to go into it here, but thanks for running a blog like this. It helps even us problematic non-factives.

If you ever want to talk to someone about it, you're welcome to message us. I won't judge.

There are plenty of things about me and anxiety that are problematic and have little to do with our actual source and everything to do with us being our authentic selves.

The fact that we're dating is a big one. I've seen a fictive in out own system get absolutely shat on for dating an inroject of the same character in another system. Honestly, as a factive dating in general is almost problematic because you run the risk of people claiming you're sexualizing, but that's not really the point.

There are things about me -things that don't hurt anyone- that I'm sure people following this blog would be upset if they knew. Things I don't relate to my source at all, authentic me as an individual. Things that might make my followers uncomfortable even though they aren't affected in the slightest.

I won't go into the validity of policing victimless "crimes" but problematic brainmades are always welcome here.
