Jonathan regrets ever telling Edward Nygma where his hideout was. One moment irritating little robots are scurrying around placing his ridiculous trophies, and the next moment Edward is telling the whole city where he's located! Time to have a little talk. (Might be crappier because of my break! Sorry I've had college)

"I've managed to hide dozens of riddles in Scarecrow's hideout in the abandoned shopping mall, proving once and for all that I'm the superior villain!"

A frown makes its way onto Jonathan's tattered face, fingers tapping against his plastic desk as the announcement plays out, Edward's words prodding at his mind. It wasn't the insult that was bothering him- he'd known the man long enough to see that the constant self-praise was a thin veil for deep-rooted insecurity, Edward didn't really believe anything he said. No, what annoyed Jonathan was that Edward seemingly felt it was okay to start spilling secrets. "Scarecrow's hideout in the abandoned shopping mall", Jonathan had been hoping he'd have more time, they were still trying to attract Gordon, the old man not even on the island yet.

He lets out a sigh of disappointment, standing up from the desk. He knew the Knight would take care of the Batman if he arrived too early, that traitorous little bastard must still be around, he would never miss out on an opportunity like this. That would give Jonathan more time to speak with Edward, personally.

The trip to the old orphanage isn't long. As the car pulls up Jonathan has to wonder why the orphanage? Did it hold some sort of significance to Edward? Perhaps the irritating man grew up here, or maybe it was just easy space. He nods to the armed driver as he exits, holding up a few fingers "five minutes", before walking towards the large doors. He likes to pretend they don't give him trouble, but he'd never quite regained stability on his right, and his left side wasn't faring much better.

He enters. walking to the end of the ledge overseeing the arena. There Edward’s stupid little platforms sat, upon them a table holding a single button. Well Jonathan wasn't collecting "riddles", so he had no interest in that. He did quite have an interest in getting down, though. He looks around the empty room, then turns to get a look at the ledge he was on. A desk on either side of him, but they held nothing of interest. A large, hideous contraption on the floor he could care less about. Various children's toys. He kicks weakly at a rug, smiling as it reveals a small trapdoor below it. Edward was ever so predictable.

"Nygma." He calls as he makes it down to the arena, stepping forward to stomp on one of the moving tiles. There's silence for a moment, and then a few tiles on the opposite side open up, and scrawny arms pull themselves out.

"What?! Can't you see I'm quite busy as it is?!" Jonathan stays still as Edward stomps his way over, ranting and waving, "What reason do you have to bother me, me!, with your inferior presence?!". Jonathan doesn't seem to answer quite quick enough, and Edward grabs his arm, dragging him away and towards the small opening he came up of. "What do you think you're doing?! Don't just stand there, he's coming! He'll be here at any moment and I won't let myself be caught unawares! What a horrible opening that would be for my inevitable victory!". Jonathan just follows after him quietly. Edward will get to his point eventually. "You're supposed to tire him out with your idiotic plan, not get yourself caught on my doorstep! You-" He spins, poking Jonathan hard in the chest, "You're trying to sabotage me! You want to lead him to me so you and your Knight can try to claim a false victory, threatened by my obviously superior plan! Well I hate to tell you this, Scarecrow, but it's not going to happen! I'd rather repeat the failures of this night one thousand times over before ever letting you cheat me out of my rightfully deserved win!" Edward was panting by the end of his rant, and Jonathan peels the man off him, trying to keep the distaste off his face. He didn't like being spat at.

"Edward." He tries a more personal approach. Edward doesn't start a new monologue, so he supposes he's on the right track. "I'm not here to play these games.", Edward looks offended, but a sharp look from Jonathan stops him from anymore yelling. "Do you find it fun?" His voice remains cold and calm, although it's taking everything to keep it that way. Edward steps back, frowning in confusion, "Find what fun? Your need to prove that your plan is-". A hand at the neck shuts him up, the needles clearly far too close for the others liking. "Working with the Bat."

Edward’s frown only deepens, clearly offended, "Me?! Work with him!? I think you've inhaled too much of that gas, it's making you paranoid.". Jonathan doesn't mention the obvious irony in that hit, based on his actions Edward already knew how far gone he was. "You told him the location of my base, Edward.", Jonathan enjoys the look of understanding (and slight horror) that flicks across Edward's face before he tries to mask it. "Well it's not my fault he's too stupid to have figured it out sooner! I was working off my own perfect calculations- that he now seems to be failing!", although they both knew that was a lie.

"Edward, I know he scares you." Jonathan starts, almost sweet, "but that does not permit you to try and speed up my plans for your own relief.". His hand tightens around Edward's throat, needles brushing the back of his neck. Edward squirms, trying to release himself and Jonathan enjoys watching the man struggle. He'd broken an unspoken rule, revealing an ally's secrets just so Batman could work his way to him faster and stop the itching anxiety creeping up on him as he imagines all that will go wrong with the confrontation. Edward scowls, "I assumed you were prepared.", he tries to argue, "You and that Knight have been boasting a quite impressive militia, surely speeding things up a bit won't ruin your evening?". Jonathan suppresses a harsh growl, he always found barely repressed anger more intimidating, "I need the police commissioner, Edward. Now that the Bat knows my location he's sure to warn the fool!". He watches as Edward looks away, trying desperately to avoid his gaze.

He sighs, letting the man go. Edward scampers back, predictably, grabbing a wrench from his workbench. "No matter. You can fix this, Edward.", this was an ally he couldn't afford to lose, not yet. Who knows what information Edward has been collecting on his attack? He steps forward, staring at Edward through misty eyes as the others grip tightens on the weapon, "Bring me Commissioner Gordon. Then we can consider this matter settled.". Edward’s brow furrows, conflict washing over his face as he tries to balance his own goals against Jonathan’s. "Fine." he says after a minute, posture straightening, as if this was just another business deal, "You'll find him arriving soon.".

Jonathan nods, turning to the exit of the cramped underground workspace. "Oh, and.. Edward.", he drawls as he reaches the final step, turning to see the man look up from stressing over a laptop, "Don't do it again.".

The name is Dexter/Dexy. I use she/her pronouns.

I basically created this blog just for all the horny shit I don't want to put on my main! The Rogue's Bi-monthly Meeting

So I wrote this while just being lazy on the bus and my mind was not staying still and kept bouncing around in my skull. I was gonna post it on Tumblr sometime after finishing it, but couldn't bother so. Here ya go, enjoy:

[Jason goes undercover as Red Hood to a rogues' meeting when Bruce got some intel that some of Gotham's rogues get together to discuss plans. Here's how the conversation goes basically.] Riddler: As the nominated chairperson of the bi-monthly rogues meeting, I officially declare this meeting open. State your order of businesses.  [They all give a vague idea of their plans] Penguin: hey wait. You can't attack Gotham City Thomas Wayne Orphanage, Croc. I'm attacking it on the 23rd of April.  Croc: Too bad.  Penguin: Back off. I thought of the idea first.  Riddler: Now now. The whole reason for this meeting is so that we don't pull the same gimmicks over and over. I'm sure there are plenty of other orphanages to go around. Penguin: I don’t want other orphanages. I want this one. It always ticks off Batman more than the others.  Croc: You're supposed to be clever, Penguin. Figure something out.  Penguin, pulling out his umbrella: now listen here you— Riddler: Do you want to be banned from the meetings like Kite-man? No? Then shut your trap.  [Penguin grumbles but sits back down] [They discuss special days and who's doing what on which day and Jason's recording everything when—] Riddler: And what about you, Hood? We still got Christmas Eve, Saturnalia and Eid-ul-Adha. Choose your pick.  Jason, absentmindedly: Uh, Saturnalia. Condiment King: You kidding? There are so many gigs happening at that time that you'll go unnoticed.  Scarecrow: I believe it's the opposite. Batman always had a hard spot for Red Hood. Makes me wonder what he did to earn the Bats' love more than the rest of us. Jason, gritting his teeth: Nunya business. Riddler: Moving on! Now… the vigilantes themselves. Does anyone know if any of the Bats are on their period right now? Catwoman: Black Bat's on hers.  [The whole room bristles with fear] Penguin: There's no way I'm pulling off any gigs now. Scarecrow: This sucks. Croc: Yeah, I'm pulling out. I'm not ready to be paralyzed right now.  Puppeteer: Yeah man, I'm out too. Now's a good time as any to go to that Hawaii trip I've been planning. Jason, mouthing under his helmet: What the fuck? Bane: Why does Black Bat always have to have her periods irregularly? It sucks balls. Riddler, sighing: I agree. And I had cooked up such a beautiful surprise for Batman. Anyway, is Spoiler's periods still regular? Judging from how stiff Firefly is looking, I'd say yes.  Firefly: Those are two Bats who have their period at the same time! Riddler, having giving up on his mission to stay out of Arkham this week: Indeed we are truly in hell. Next order of business is— [Harley and Ivy bust through the doors] Harley: We just got word that Batman just banned Red Robin from drinking coffee! Ivy: Red Robin's on a caffeine withdrawal! [Immediately, the whole room bursts into shrieks. One of them give a classic high-pitched scream] Penguin: Why?! Why?! Can't Batman just let him have his coffee?! And that too on Spoiler’s and Black Bats’ periods! *wails* Riddler: Now I gotta postpone all those riddle hunts I planned! If he wasn't on caffeine withdrawal and two Bats weren’t menstruating, I would have gotten enough time to establish an actual game! Scarecrow: Puppeteer, you got room for one more person for that Hawaii trip? Jason, squirming cuz he was the one who dobbed in Tim's hidden coffee stash: Uh… Can I come?

Akila Nygma | Questionnaire

Akila is the third daughter (and technical eldest biological daughter) of Riddler (Edward Nygma) and Monochrome (Mona Lisa Beauvais). Her siblings include Enigma, Duela Dent, Mabelle Beauvais, and Puzzler (Edwin Nygma).

Akila has a similar shtick to her father, only with questions and quizzes instead of riddles. She took up the question mark symbol either after her father was arrested (for the 19474th time) or retired and donned the name Questionnaire to differentiate herself from him. She enjoys psychologically torturing her enemies.

Edwin Nygma | Puzzler

Edwin Nygma is the only son of Riddler and Monochrome. His older sisters are Enigma, Duela Dent, Mabelle Beauvais, and Questionnaire.

Edwin is basically like Jigsaw but with puzzles instead of traps. Edwin is the most like his father to the point where people sometimes call him "Riddler Jr.". He doesn't like blood and doesn't like people except his family touching him.

Rick Jagger Rory | Blaze

Rick is the son of Heatwave (Mick Rory) and Heavy Metalikka (Roxy Siobhan Lee). He is a member of the second Central City Rogues, having a rock and roll theme similar to his mother's heavy metal motif. Rick is his parents' baby as told by his guitar shaped flamethrower Mick made for him as a birthday gift.

No child for Palette yet because she is currently being fought over by the other Central City Rogues (might just put her with Golden Glider for shits and giggles)

The Startling Secret Identity of The Batman - (10k, T, Gen) In-universe Buzzfeed Unsolved accidentally stumbles on Batman’s secret identity. The Batfam reacts.

I wrote this fic so fast, like it just suddenly appeared on the screen, and I'm still delighted with how it turned out.

The Haunting of Wayne Manor - (31k, T, Steph/Cass, Gothic horror AU) Stephanie Brown arrives at Wayne Manor to be governess to Bruce Wayne’s young son, Damian. Once there, she begins to suspect the manor is a place shrouded in darkness and secrets, where the shadows seem to follow her, where doors lock mysteriously and questions go unanswered. And most dreadfully of all, her own secrets are just as likely to catch up to her and bring her to ruin.

All my love for gothic horror was thrown into this fic, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

in this town of halloween - (3.8k, G, Gen) The Riddler takes ten-year-old Steph trick-or-treating, and Steph honestly has the best time ever.

Okay so I had to limit myself to ONE fic centered around Stephanie Brown's Unconventional Childhood, because that is absolutely a theme I keep going back to. There's just so much untapped potential! But this is the one I ultimately chose, because it's light and fun and I just loved the mental images that inspired it.

those wild charms for you - (5k, T, Steph/Jason) “So you’re saying we should go on a fake date and catch a serial killer so that we can have the moral high ground over Bruce,” Jason said. “Just to be clear. That’s what you’re suggesting.”

listen i love this pairing so much. I have so much fun writing them. And this one has the bonus of being one of my favorite tropes!

our lips are sealed - (B99/MCU crossover, 5k, T, Gina Linetti/Steve Rogers) When Gina started talking about how Captain America moved in next door to her, complete with a rap breakdown including the lines, "with his glorious American-made booty, it's a star-spangled thing of beauty," and how she was initiating a five-step plan to tap dat, the precinct just assumed that Captain America was a nickname for whatever unfortunate hottie made a real estate blunder and ended up her neighbor.

This fic has the honor of being one I can reread without cringing, and it even makes me laugh. I feel like I got the voices right, even though this is my only foray into B99 fic.

Trying to watch poketubers these days just sucks man.

1. Title: HUGE, INSANE, MINDBLOWING, DICK JIZZING NEWS ABOUT GEN 10 AND ZA JUST DROPPED- content: the same tweet from a day or two ago that hundreds of other poketubers have covered from a lousy riddler who A. Has proven to no longer be trustworthy after trolling, B. Barely said anything worth noting, and C. Everything they say only makes sense only AFTER the info drops. Or they say something that could be reasonably inferred, like Gen 10 dropping in 2026 for the 30th anniversary- there's been consistently a new Gen every 10 year milestone with 4 and 7 so far, anyone could have guessed that

2. Legends fan videos- always something off, like trying to make Squirtle a starter in a Legends Johto game (it doesn't make sense! Kanto is right next door! Why would a Blastoise have a variant?), basically just repainting Johto characters to play the exact same roles but under different names, no fun with foreign ancestor characters, not connecting it to Kanto at all, etc.

3. Being very wrong with their speculation videos- like there's surprisingly wrong in the sense where people rightly thought Unova was coming after SV because of Game Freak's bait and switch, and then there's just WRONG where they try to claim Gen 10 will be in China because of the Ruinous Quartet or India because of Yungoos, Cuphant, etc, instead of looking for *small* teasers like the oranges and grapes on the Galarian hotel walls or- in SV's case- the painting of Ayers Rock/similar rock structure in the art class.

4. FIXING STARTER POKEMON- turns Samurott into the same, boring, buff, bipedal form while trying to ignore the existing qualities that make it look cool; also just turns Typhlosion into something worse or turns Delphox into another adjacent furry.

Hi, could I request Jonathan, riddler, bane, and slade reacting to their boyfriend being able to basically chill with any animal, like you could find him sunbathing next to a crocodile, or randomly holding a incredibleing venous animal. Just because he's chill like that, but the moment someone else coming to close the animal(if it's dangerous) trys to attack them like it usually would. So basically the reader being like a capybara?

(This sounds like something he would probably do too in my opinion lol) Riddler thinks this is amazing, and probably the type of mf that would use this for one of his plans for fucking some shit. He feels like the animals are under your command in a way, with how they would try to attack other people when they come close. Even when it comes to the rats he uses, you have the loving urge to just pet and take care of them.

At first, Slade is cautious when he first sees you with some kind of dangerous animal, and his protective instincts kick in. But once you reassure him that the animals won't hurt you (all while petting a rattlesnake that's just chilling in your hands lmao), he trusts you to keep a close eye on them. He probably won't be chilling with them with you, but he does find joy in your love for animals and how fearless you are of them.

Jonathan finds it fascinating, how you can just hang around with such dangerous animals without any fear. Sometimes, he'll carefully watch their behavior and how they rest in your arms or beside you with ease, trying to figure out what's so special about you(/gen).

Bane trusts you to keep the animals under control, especially with how calm they are around you. He might reccomend you using these animals to your advantage to get what you want.
