yes, Baum wrote 14 books about Oz, actually. also, he wrote them under the appointment of "the royal historian of Oz" instead of "author", so there's other "official" Oz books by other "royal historians of Oz"

Baum wrote so much bc (he needed money, yes, but also:) kids would send him questions in fan-mail, and he would proceed to answer them via new novels. so he never planned to make more Oz books, he just (wasnt good with money and also) was routinely inspired by the kids who wrote to him and would write the stuff they wanted to learn about Oz and whatnot

2️⃣: does Dorothy go back to Oz? wasn't it all a dream for her??

yeah, Dorothy returns to Oz a lot in the books, she eventually even moves to live there permanently. bc, in the book series, it's a real place

3️⃣: how does Dorothy look like Glinda OR Elphaba?? what are you talking about?

okay so, "The Wizard of Oz" has an illustrator, W. W. Denslow. in the book, Dorothy is confirmed to be wearing a blue-white gingham dress (she changes outfits tho, she doesnt always wear the same dress all 14 books like she's some cartoon character); but im pretty sure her hair was all Denslow(? i could be remembering wrong. p sure im not tho??). this is what the 1939 movie based her appearance off of. so i can see why youd go "she doesnt look like Glinda or Elphaba"

BUT Denslow and Baum started feuding. so for the rest of the Oz books that Baum wrote, he had a different illustrator by the name of John R. Neil

and Neil decided to give Dorothy for every one of the books he illustrated (so, 13 of Baum's books to Denslow's 1 book of Baum's) a cute lil blonde bob, making her look like what i assume blonde-Glinda looked like as a child. i think she'd approve lol

so!! Dorothy very much looks like a trendy little Glinda, with her cute blonde bob, her fashionable drop-waist dress, and bows for most of the Baum series, actually!

(also, Neil had a preference for dressing Dorothy in this red and polka-dot number, but, again, she does wear other outfits)

4️⃣: who is Ozma??

she's the Princess of Oz. she eventually appears in the second book of the series. she rules Oz after the Wizard

she's actually a really interesting transwoman allegory too. (spoilers for a book from the early 1900s?) she was born a little girl named Ozma, but has a spell put on her as a baby to be genderbent and was socially raised as a little boy under a different name, and she later realizes who she truly is: a girl. she finds the transformation scary, as she returns to her girl-form she always truly was, but she feels better and more herself now that she is Ozma again. i dont think L. Frank Baum intentionally wrote her to be a trans allegory, but you can very obviously see why our trans elders fucking LOVED Ozma back in the early 1900s

also, she has a similar "sir, you fucked up" relationship with the Wizard as Elphaba*. and, also like Elphaba, Ozma politically tries to make things in Oz better (just.. unlike Elphaba, Ozma has the power and support to do just that p much asap)

* (edit for contextual clarification on how the Wizard fucked up: the Wizard fucked up with Ozma because he is ultimately and p directly the reason why she was genderbent/hidden. he deposed of her family and sent her away. Baum decided later on to backtrack a little bit on this(?) because he wanted to bring back the Wizard and, in order for Baum to do that, has to try to not make him SO terribly horrible??? so like. Ozma does end up forgiving him and tolerates him amd he's nicer, later on, within the books. but i doubt any modern adaptation of the books would follow that, personally. even as a kid, i went "bullshit" and headcanoned that Ozma fucking hated the guy and, at best, MAYBE tolerated him for Dorothy, but overall did not like him for justifiable reasons! i think the direction society seems to have taken the Wizard is interesting, and i wouldnt be surprised if there was at least one future adaptation that made him The Bad Guy in a very Rumplestiltskin in the Once Upon A Time TV show kind of way. but like. in the books, they do END UP getting along. i just forever disagree with Baum on that lol i think the Wizard fucked up, and in book 2 of the series (the one where Ozma is, y'know, introduced), it is obvious the Wizard FUCKED UP. but yeah. also, Ozma does get her dad back. her mom was kind of never in the picture to begin with, specifically in a Ponyo's Mom kind of way, like, she made Oz and then left it for her husband and kid to rule, so. yeah. im getting off track. my point is the Wizard did a full-on coup on her family and then banished her and genderbent her so no one would recognize that she had claim to the throne he was sitting on!! he fucked up! so, like, i personally hc that Elphaba founded the "i hate the Wizard" club to which everyone slowly joined, like Fieyro and etc, and Ozma is their youngest member. the Wizard did both Elphie and Ozma so dirty, omfg)

it also should be mentioned, Ozma in NBC's "Emerald City" was casted as Black (her actress being Jordan Loughran). so, though Ozma does not have green skin (but also? neither did the Wicked Witch of the West in the books, she wasn't green there. that was a 1939 film decision to make her green. so! Ozma could be green!! why not!), but she does have Black features to theoretically remind Glinda of Cynthia Eviro's Elphaba when you consider that casting. or, if you prefer a Jewish!Elphaba casting, a'la Idina Menzel's Elphaba, i think Ozma's book design works well to interpretively parallel those features too. or both, if you like the sound of a Black-Jewish Elphaba and Ozma paralleling lol

(edit, because i thought i mentioned this but? no?? i didnt?? i must have misclicked or something to have deleted the paragraph. im so sorry, here you go:) also, when Ozma was a boy, she was basically enslaved to her jailor of a caretaker. which one could interpret as "oh, a Cinderella story!", sure. but, with a Black Ozma, it does read as an intergenerational grief-formed power-fantasy that is both empowering and poignant for Ozma to have ran away from her enslavement and gone on to become a princess afterwards. to any Black folks who may be going "is this going to trigger me?" about Ozma having been a child-slave, i remind you that Baum wrote this intentionally for children, so, no, the books do not sit in the trauma and horror of enslavement, but whether or not it would trigger you yourself is up to your discretion. i will say, Baum did NOT write the American Girls' Addy of his time (context: a children's book about a child-slave that does go into the horrors, some, though in a kid-friendly way) or Louis Sachar's Holes (i asssume i dont have explain Holes since its movie was such a hit), i remember it as even more kid-friendly than either of those also-children's books, so i would assume most people would be fine? but you are responsible for your own mental well-being, i urge you to confirm if it is fine for yourself however you need to do that. but, yes, you can use this backstory as further evidence for your Ozma being Black, of course! you can have Ozma be Black regardless, but if you want this as further evidence, go ahead! and also, it does parallel Ozma to Elphaba in the sense that Elphaba's family mistreats Elphaba! (i will, regardless of if you prefer a Jewish and/or Black Elphaba, add that doing so is also a nice "fuck you" to Baum in how, being a white man of the late 1800s and early 1900s, did end up throwing in racist and/or antisemitic caricatures here and there within his 14 books, unfortunately. i, an Indigenous American, remember as a child still immensely enjoying Oz despite Baum being racist towards Native Americans. if youre curious on the egregious level of it all and if the story could still be enjoyable, id say it's in the realm of Peter Pan, Willy Wonka, and Matilda of "wow. that is shitty. im going to pretend this thing i love is good instead via cognitive dissonance")

regardless, in John R Neil's illustrations, Ozma does have black hair, so that too coincides with modern understandings of Elphaba

(there is also her appearance in Disney's "Return to Oz", performed by Emma Ridley, where she is blonde. but, though i love that spooky movie, that's neither here nor there. as far as im aware, only in that movie has Ozma not had black hair)

anyway, she rules Oz; and by book 3, becomes really close friends with Dorothy. they're not a canon couple, not anymore than Gelphie is, but they are such close and affectionate friends that they are so easy to ship as childhood sweethearts (so, no, there is no moment of 🎶loathing🎶, but i find that sweetness makes them an angstier parallel for Glinda to watch over, personally lol)

like here's some illustrations from the books of them just being two "gal pals". no wonder our queer elders shipped them lmao and this isn't even all of their illustrations together, this is just the first spurts that google shot out at me lmao

however, i will mention the Wicked Witch of the West, in the books, is a fashion disaster and i want to see her look used as evidence that "yes, goth-Elphaba and dark-academia-Elphaba are 10/10, but also?? kitschy grandma-core knitwear-Elphaba × her fashionably Barbie pink girlfriend". i'd love to see art of that. i'm just saying

Scarecrow/Tin-Man was like THE ship for our queer elders. they are so emotionally intimate, they live together, it's great, look at these pictures of them being absolute bros (can you see why they were shipped so hard)

Summary: baby Ellie remembers how to swim.

Ellie knows how to swim. She went to all the infant swim lessons and survival trainings just like Sarah did. You have no fear of Ellie's swimming capabilities.

But at some point over the winter, she forgot she knew, and developed a fear of water. The four of you took a trip to the local pool, where Sarah and Joel jumped right in. Even as Sarah was determined to take Joel down with all her might (to absolutely no sucess) Joel still had his arms stretched out ready to catch Ellie to jump in.

Ellie--bless her bitty chubby soul-- had no interest to jump in. She was almost two at this point. Bucket hat and fat floaties on her shoulders, she twirled her fingers anxiously, looking away from daddy with drawn browns.

"Its okay, baby, daddy is gonna catch you!" He encourages, curling his hands towards himself in come hither motion "You don't even have to swim!"

But she shakes her head, running back to you and clutching your legs for dear life.

"That's okay Ellie. We don't have to swim today. Do you wanna sit with me?"

She nods, her head buried between your knees.

So you and Ellie sat on the hot concrete and watches curiously ad ants lined up, grabbed crumbs of discarded food, and filed away to their cracks in the sidewalk. She pointed to them curiously, only occasionally glancing at the pool before shifting away and dedicating all her focus on the very dry ground.

The next day, you sat on the shallow edge of the stairs into the pool. It took some coaxing, but Ellie sat on the dry edge, and only managed to dip her large toes in at a time. Sarah continued to climb atop Joel like a tree, grunting and trying to pull his chest down knock him under water, but he just kept grabbing her and yeeting her 6 feet in the air to splash back into the pool.

Next day, Ellie's ankles kicked in the water, but she was still too afriad to get in any further.

"I dont get it. She knows how to swim," Joel complained. His biggest gripe is why he has to bring all these floaties day after day if neither Sarah nor Ellie were using them. He was also feeling a big dejected. You could tell he wanted Ellie to trust him with this. He was a great dad.

"Its a mental thing..." it really was. You didnt have any other explanation for it. You weren't gonna traumatize her by pushing her in and forcing her to fight or flight.

The four of you got close to the edge. Ellie saw the water and immediately retreated back towards the furthest fence, more content with swimming in the artificial grass.

"I figured she'd want to get in with me," he pouts. Joel saw it all going differently. That Ellie would feel more comfortable being around Joel, even if he carried her all day in the water. He'd swear never to let a drop get on her. But not even her favorite man was enough to sway her.

Joel miller is a great father. A great husband.

You....

You glances at Joel, who's walking closer to the edge of the pool than you.

The thought breezes through your mind, and you come to the conclusion that you are not as great a wife.

using all your strength, you shove him off balance and send him flying into the pool without warning.

He has no chance to get his anchor as he goes crashing into the water, elbow and head first.

On cue, Ellie screams and immediately forced her fat legs to run as fast as they can, straight to the water. Eithout a seconds hesitation that she's had all week, she launches herself at full speed, scrunches her legs in the air and cannon balls into the pool butt first.

You must be a really bad mom too because You didn't expect her to just jump in by herself!!!

But to your immediately relief, she bobs her head up and starts frantically kicking and paddling doggy style to reach Joel.

Joel resurfaces, standing tall as the water was only deep to his waist, and shakes his head annoyingly. He frowns at you before realizing there's a very fast moving worm coming towards him-

"daDDY!" She shouts concerningly. Even though everyone else can clearly tell Joel is in no harm whatsoever, she still pants hard as she pettles her way to him like his life depends on it.

Joel blinks away the chlorine in his eyes, in disbelief at her sudden determination. "ELLIE! You did it!"

He reaches out and grasps her into his arms.

"I save DADDY!" She exclaims.

"Ahh.. I mean you didn't really..."

He glances up at you with eyes that signal to him to shut the fuck up.

"you DID! You saved me from drowning."

"All by myself!" She coos excitedly. "Daddy I swim!"

After that Ellie was completely comfortable in the pool, with Joel remaining a 4 foot radius at all times (knowing he could drown at any moment again).

"I wanna push him in next!" Sarah protested.

Ellie screeches "NO!" And defensively clutched Joel's whole head as she sat atop his shoulders.

HOWEVER. i think with the main cast it could be kinda funny. cuz bonnies just kinda weird and awkward and difficult to talk to. she's so quick to just go right home.

with Nina, i could see nina fawning over bonnie a little. "your hair color is so pretty do you know how many girls at the salon would kill for this?" "oh my god where did you get that top" "smell my perfume do you like it let me spray you!". bonnie would get overwhelmed and unsure if nina is making fun of her or being genuine, BUT i think the second nina's like "oh yeah im from california too" bonnies like ! OK WE R LIKE THE SAME ! i could see bonnie inviting nina out to a cafe to study but ninas writing fanfic the entire time (unbeknownst to bonnie). bonnie would get along the best with nina, on account of them both being friendly girls with similar interests

With clocky. bonnie would 1000% frequent the restaurant clocky works at, always order the same stack of pancakes, and nothing else comes from it. clocky would be alright with her cuz bon tips well + cleans up her table before leaving (mom was a server so she developed the habit + she's nervous about being a bad guest LOL). BUT . as you can see in the pic. i think it'd be funny if bon immediately called camila(my friends oc) and started going on about "oh my god you wouldve fucking loved my server she was so tall dude come visit me im gonna make you come here" and walked past clocky with a coat so she didnt even realize it was her. dumbass

bonnie would have 0 reason to interact with jack... but bonnie has her issues with ghosts that land her freaking out in forests trying to get away from them. and she'd freak the fuck out if she saw jack, cuz bonnies anxiety/nerves/paranoia is already maxxed out all the time. now imagine a 6'7 grey man in an ominious mask being the only person youve seen in your involuntary hike through the woods after having ghosts swear theyre gonna kill you. shes gonna throw up

she'd have 0 reason to talk to jeff too. they would never be in similar circles(not that bonnie really Has a circle), but. i like the idea of them constantly coincidentally getting stuck on the same train/bus and it being hell on earth. for her, at least. he dgaf. maybe he had plans to kill her one night and started following her and something went wrong and he gave up. dunno

She took a deep breath, then lifted her gaze.

There she was, sitting on the other side of the table, smiling and staring at her so unnervingly.

She made herself hold eye contact, despite the fear and pity creeping up her chest. She asked to do this. She needed to do this.

The other her hadn't spoken a word since she'd sat down. She's not even sure that she's moved.

How does one start a conversation like this? How do you talk to a different version of you? One that seems so different but just as trapped as she felt? One where, if things had gone slightly differently, she would've become that?

She's not sure. She's not sure of a lot of things. But she is sure that she wants this meeting to happen.

She had to thread lightly though. "Hello," she began, keeping her hands folded neatly in her lap, even if the other her couldn't see them. "I'm glad you could meet me today."

"Thank you!" the other one said happily, voice slightly higher and more elevated than hers was. "I just wanted to make you happy, and I'd love to sit here and have tea with you."

She tried to hide her wince at the other's choice of words, trying to keep her smile as polite as possible. Although, maybe the other wouldn't even care if she wasn't smiling. Maybe she wouldn't even notice it.

No. No, it was better to keep the peace, to try and hold onto this stability while it lasts.

So she kept smiling-she was very good at keeping one on her face for a period of time, and she said, "I've w-" she paused, a sudden rush of anxiety going through her. But the other her just tilted her head and waited patiently.

She could do this. She could do this. Thorn believed in her. Prisoner believed in her. Even Damsel sent her a present for today, knowing that her presence would only rattle her.

"I've wanted to meet you for some time now," she said with a cautious tone, and the other her seemed to smile even brighter, her edges looking sharper by the minute.

"Aw! I'm glad I could make it then!"

Then they fell into silence.

She didn't like the silence, but she was struggling to find something to talk about. She bit her lip, looking down at her lap, because when the princess across the table wasn't talking, it was so hard to think of her as a princess.

But she was. She was one of them, one of the vessels, and it was so important to look at her and see what she was.

She took a deep breath in, and lifted her head.

A chill went down her spine.

"I-I just needed to be able to see you and look at who you are." She needed to see what happened to this princess.

The other her giggled, but said nothing else.

"Damsel says that she doesn't remember some moments from back in there-but she remembers how it felt. She felt it for a split second. I've felt it for a very long time."

The other her didn't reply.

"It was fear," she quietly said, "She was afraid, before being molded into something for someone else, and we're both the result of that."

"Well I just want to make you happy!" the other her chirped, and she nodded in response.

"I know. I know you do. I know that's all you were born to do."

"I don't blame you for that," she continued, "because I'm you and you're me. We were in the basement of a cabin, and we were scared, and he was our best bet."

" I'm sorry you got hurt," she softly said, trying not to pick up on any unsettling details from the other, like how she didn't seem to breathe or blink.

"I'm sorry that I wasn't strong enough back then, but I'm learning how to be now, and so is Damsel."

Her smile turned bittersweet. "I'm sorry it was too late for you," she whispered.

"I just wanted to meet you and talk to you- so that I know what I'm fighting for, so that I won't be scared anymore, because you deserved better. We all deserved better, and I'm going to honour that, until my last dying breath."

She closed her eyes.

"I promise I'll make us happy one day."

She opened her eyes, and she was all alone. But she wasn't scared anymore.

You’ve talked a little about how Infinite changes in appearance after getting comfortable with the family and you’ve shown how Bang and Vacio look as teens/young adults (? It’s been a second since I looked lol), so I was wondering if there are any changes you’d thought of for the rest of the family. Like, Mephiles and Iblis are mortal now right? Do they age? Will they and Infinite start going grey? And how will Meta change? She’s still exploring her identity at the start of I remember right, so how will she look with over a decade to get to know herself?

Also, I think you might have talked about it a little bit before (?), but how do Infinite and Mephiles go from that initial mutual dislike to having a close relationship? When do they start talking about it? Was there a distinct moment when they started being closer to partners than just kinda cohabiting?

Oh! Also also how does Mephiles patch things up with Scourge? If I remember right, they didn’t exactly have the best start with the whole parasitizing on his chaos energy thing. mephiles and iblis are mortal but not..really?? i guess?? they CAN be killed now but they dont necessarily age, have the same powers they had as deities, and have enhanced functions on top of it all (like fast healing and things of that nature). this is because their bodies arent technically "legitimate" mobian bodies, as they were made using synthetic mobian dna as well as the essence of their original forms, if that makes sense?? so they wont rly go gray at any point. unfortunately, infinite is genuinely mortal, and he does physically age still, so he will eventually start to gray (and honestly it probably wont be very long until then because this family has stressed him out so much even though he loves them LOL); flatline and julius are already dead so they dont rly physically age anymore; scourge, sonic, and shadow arent necessarily immortal, but their lifespans have been significantly increased due to the chaos energy theyve absorbed throughout their lives (and also shadow's whole...thing); meta is as mortal as infinite, though if im being real she will somehow find a way to prolong her own life using science or technology lol (she is genuinely afraid of her mortality and death at first, but she does come to terms with valuing her life after she processes that it is finite and precious. however im not sure she'd end up wanting it to end after all once she realizes that a good amount of her family will outlive her, yknow?), and on top of that i do think she would explore her outward appearance more over time; bang and vacío are in the same boat as mephiles and iblis because one is made up of pure chaos and the other is literally mephiles' son lol; black doom is also the same as mephiles and iblis; sunny is like meta except she 100% is ok with her life eventually coming to a natural end; zonic is in the same boat as infinite because he doesnt have experience with chaos energy like sonic or the others

mephiles and infinite didnt start really getting close (or even tolerating each other) until after mephiles got his mobian body! at first mephiles was very clearly and obviously showing bias towards meta and seemed to only rly be attached to her, but after becoming an unspoken member of the family, he did slowly start to form bonds with infinite and scourge as well, which was encouraged by how much he knew meta valued them. it wasnt until infinite really noticed mephiles' fondness for the rest of them that he sort of opened up his heart to him, though actual feelings didnt come up until someone mistook him and mephiles for a couple at a market lmfao. on mephiles' end, his feelings towards infinite didnt develop until he noticed infinite being kinder to him and treating him like he treated meta and scourge as members of his family, with the real tipping point being infinite setting up a small, simple shrine for solaris on one of the windows as a gesture of respect. mephiles then proceeded to ask meta and scourge questions regarding the feelings he was having as he had never experienced them in his previous form (scourge literally did not want to deal with that so he just told him to look shit up on the computer lol), and he was actually the one who ended up initiating the talk. they came to the conclusion that it wouldnt hurt to try things out (infinite makes the comment that it feels strange for him to try and navigate something like this at his age, to which mephiles responds that he's centuries old himself, so he supposed they would both be navigating it together) and they attempted to keep it on the dl but meta and scourge clocked that shit so fast LMAO

you remembered right! scourge and mephiles def had a strained relationship at first because of how mephiles used scourge's chaos energy as a means of tethering himself to the timeline. honestly scourge had a hard time coming to terms with mephiles being part of the family for a while after he got his own body, even after seeing how much meta seemed to love him. that only improved after mephiles caught him one night after he had a particularly bad nightmare (mephiles doesnt sleep A Lot so hes usually up anyway). he offered to let scourge vent about it to him to ease his nerves because he had learned that behavior from meta, and though scourge was hesitant and reluctant to open up like that at first, he did end up doing it, and after that he felt like he could trust mephiles better, which led to him eventually becoming fully comfortable with his presence :]

i want to write this shit out in a fic so baddddd bc i only have one (1) chapter fully written out and posted, but its so very hard for me to do anything past that lol (especially bc im nervous about the second chapter due to how. heavy. it is). but maybe one day i'll get around to it after all, we'll see

21. Did the Warden romance anyone from their group? If so, what attracted them to their partner?

Alistair, of course, which i've already more than alluded to a few times and i already accidentally answered the second question in the previous post. i'll just talk about their romance in general here

despite both having warm and intimate feelings for each other, it took awhile for their relationship to begin in any capacity. this is because helia is a little bit stupid when it comes to realizing her own attractions and romantic feelings, and is even less aware of when that attention is directed towards her. she just didnt really think about it, assuming that the hope she'll get to spend the rest of her time as a warden with him is Totally Platonic and that there's no deeper feelings to analyze there. just utterly clueless.

Alistair was the more emotionally aware one. at least he has the capacity to know and acknowledge when he feels something for someone. i think he's utterly fascinated by helia, never has he known someone so poised and yet so. weird. i think he wants to study her. how could he not want to fuck her. there's a nervousness too, she seems better than him and considering her lack of flirtations he might just be an asshole for presenting his feelings

funnily enough, it's actually helia who encourages him into sharing his attraction for her. he calls her beautiful and then retracts it, then even asks what she'd think if he really did call her that. and so she says she'd love to have an answer but she can't know until he commits to it. which like fair enough, so he does!

the rose conversation happens ( jsyk redcliffe is one of the last things i do before the landsmeet arc) and helia reciprocates deeply. it's extremely kind and fuck, of course she feels the same way? however. and im not bullshitting you. she is COMPLETELY unaware that this conversation is romantic in any way. and he doesn't know she doesnt know. so imagine her surprise when later on, during another romantically charged conversation, he kisses her. helia is completely fucking blindsided its awesome

... which he realized after and oh my god he can't believe it! this woman can read an assassin out of a throne room, how can she have not figured it out by now ? it's very very funny. it's very cute and he's super lucky she said that it's fine because she liked it.

another fave moment is that i usually do things in a way where after his personal quest i get the sex cutscene, and then immediately after THAT one i get the post-hardened "i think from now on im going to do whatever i want that makes me feel happy" like um. yeah man. i can tell. <3

22. Which gifts would raise the Warden's approval, if they were a companion?

These questions are always really hard for me to answer umm. She’s not a very picky person but she appreciates things she can use more than appreciates aesthetic. if you give her expensive jewellery she'll end up selling it unless you clarify extreme sentimentality, for example. she doesn't want for very much.

i can imagine that she's interested in books. of all kinds. geography, history, biography, even magical tomes, she hungers for Lore. she'll even enjoy a random tattered journal you found in a well. i think she also enjoys candles.

also it's cliche but she fucking loooves blades and weapons, not just because shes a sicko but because she's also a geek about the craft. she appreciates a well-designed weapon, and enjoys clever add-ons. She actually perked up when she heard her betrothed has ties to blacksmithing. I think its a special interest of hers :) if you gave her starmetal to craft starfang with it would change her life

23. If Dog is in the party, what did the Warden name him and why?

Bloodkin because he also drank darkspawn blood, lived, experienced ostagar, and then lived from that too. just like her and alistair did. ^_^ there's a deep companionship found in the events that brought them all together and helia finds that deeply important. He's A Part Of Them. he's called bloody for short btw

24. Did the Warden complete the companions quests?

yeah, i very rarely ever have a character who will skip out on optional questlines and companions because I simply Just Dont Want To so my rpg protags will sometimes have through-line similarities. but in different flavours i do still try and think about it.

im pretty sure i said before that helia considers her relationships to be a part of her duty, so going out of her way to do extra things for her comrades, i mean... how could she not?

25. Did the Warden focus more on their objective or did they do side quests?

She likes helping people and stealing from nobles. And delivering justice. so hell yes

sooo i rewatched spirited away last night... HERE'S THE SECOND DORM!!

Kamikyūkei: Based on the Loneliness of the Faceless Spirit

i lied again LOL last night i said i was gonna make yubaba the figure but nope!!! its no-face! he's too iconic i couldn't leave him out. I WILL SAY THOUGH the dorm leader (which i eventually plan to make an oc for) IS based on yubaba. more on that + etymology + design choices under the cut! (SPOILERS FOR SPIRITED AWAY)

starting with etymology AGAIN!! i kind of just slammed some japanese words together so i hope it doesnt sound too clunky 😭i did the same thing with serencor but it was welsh and latin that time sooo

kamigami: according to the ghibli wiki, "spirits refers to divine, or spiritual, or mysterious beings that play key features in the films spirited away and princess mononoke. they are referred as kamigami (霊々, lit. "ghosts", means "gods") in spirited away." i decided on this word since the kamigami play a huge role in the story of spirited away

kyūkei: rest, break, recess, intermission; i took this word since the kamigami in spirited away are resting at the bathhouse!

so i just. smackd them together. and thats how i got the name!!! moving onto design...

i think no-face's mask smacked in the middle of the logo is. there for pretty obvious reasons 😭

the building is based off the bathhouse itself! albeit, being a very very simplified version

the gold lining the bottom is a reference to no-face summoning all the gold himself, and the lamp (lantern?) is from those shots of the streets (theyre SO pretty!!) i kinda wanted to put smaller ones throughout the design but i thought it would be too detailed

the little sign for the name is actually the same shape as the sign for the bathhouse!

i considered adding some more gems if i did make the dorm based on yubaba, but i didnt think it would fit. i also considered adding soot sprites but they were a bit of a random addition amongst the bathhouse since they mostly reside in the boiler room.

before i get into ideas for the dorm, i have a BUNCH of ideas for ocs!!!

yubaba oc (third year) is the dorm leader, and haku (second year) is the vice dorm leader

no-face/kaonashi is either a second year or a third year, but he's an important part to the story (if i DO write one)

lin oc is a second year and i think she'd help guide the chihiro oc through the dorm!

kamaji oc is a staff memnber! i'd like to think he still runs the boiler room but also does maintenance for other places in the school too

now onto ideas for the dorm itself... (i wrote down so many while i was watching)

the dorm is modeled after the bathhouse. definitely. 100%

i think the dorm is very similar to octavinelle in the sense that the dorm leader is the boss and the students are employees! they run the bathhouse for spirits from the spectral realm

i thijk they take care of pigs like how heartslabyul has flamingos and hedgehogs instead of slaughtering them for meat like in the movie. little piggies :3

like the movie, the bathhouse is only operates in night time, but i think it'd be interesting if the pocket dimension itself had longer nights and shorter days since the students still need to sleep for their classes

some traditions in the dorm include big sleepovers (reference to all the girls sleeping next to each other in the movie) and big feasts (reference to no-face's feast + chihiro's parents)

i also think that the dorm would be very important for halloween since it's so connected to spirits!

i think the dorm uniform is based on what chihiro, lin, and the other workers wear at the bathhouse, while the dormleader is based on yubaba's outfit and has a lot of gems and such

(Long winded anon from before) Hiccup doing a loud double take at Snoutlout being alive is gonna make me cry. these guys are such jerks to each other but man do they care deep down. hiccup's so happy that snotlout made it :') if only they had a better relationship i'm sure they'd both be able to relate to the idea that their bodies don't feel quite the same or even fully their own anymore.

(btw i love your nuanced spitelout take from the tags. i think he's really interesting both as a character and as a figure who's really messed up his son, he needs studied for how efficiently he's a bad father tbh.)

honestly the Snotlout mental breakdown my brain gave me was kinda a mess so sorry if it doesnt make sense.

but i imagine that snotlout was really raw after the heather report 1&2. first cause heather stole the scales (which even if he hates them low key they're HIS), then because he didnt even get a choice to tell everyone. their biggest enemies in the moment found out and then his five closest friends, bad order for any reveal honestly.

yeah it worked out and they got Heather and her family out of there and safe again. his friends even took the shifting thing okay but the fact that this part of himself that he feels deep shame for is out in the open feels like something that would only make him crank the obnoxious attitude to a thousand.

thus making everyone's ability to do math about his trauma ten thousand times harder. also i dont know that he'd realise that no one realised yet that he was the dragon in the arena. he'd be on pins and needles waiting for someone to mention it again making him go through it not realising that by worrying about it he was alreadying reliving it without them even mentioning it.

To me his emotional constipation was part of what made the scene in my brain so devestating, cause everyone would be talking about the events of the movie with hiccup super curious about his toothless bonding not realising that every time they talk about the arena and that 'missing strange nightmare' that its him. untill of course astrid does the math and tries to talk to about with him.

Astrid may of course also be emotionally constipated but she understands that this might be a personal thing for him. so i think she'd try to apologise for busting his hand up pretty bad only for Snotlout to brush it off agressively.

also i think fishlegs would make a dig or two about it it uninentionally. cause in rob and dob he goes through an arc where he becomes more confident but also lowkey hates snotlout for while so he probably wasnt being careful with his words, plus without knowing that snotlout was in the arena him mentioning the 'weird nightmare' he wants to study could easily sound like a threat.

to me it'd be the twins that accidentally pushed him into the semi public breakdown in front of the friendgroup. they'd make one to many jokes about his weeks 'surviving in the woods' and snotlout thinking that they are mocking him would snap. cause i think he realised how paper thin that story was too. it makes sense when you dont think about it or don't know he can shift but the second they all learned he could he probably felt like the dragon was out of the bag so to speak.

in my brain he just had this huge emotional word vomit about how none of them respect him. and how they all dont care about him and that clearly they just want the firepower for the team. not him and in general i think he'd just be shouting at them for awhile about how he feels but in the way he does in not lout where he just says stuff like 'i wont be on the streets!' without telling them AT ALL how he came to that conclusion.

Hiccup was definitely surprised! Flabbergasted, even! And also a little (kind of a lot) thrown off by how out of character Snotlout is. He definitely walks away from that interaction going "o... kay..." before refocusing on the task he originally set out to do.

(I really do think exploring Spitelout as a person is way more interesting than reducing him to "Snotlout's shitty dad". He sucks and I want him away from Snotlout but he's also still a character in his own right. and I can use that suckage to my own ends >:]]]c)

I mean, breakdowns do tend to be pretty messy, don't they?

And yeah Snotlout is SO UPSET after "The Heather Report II", yeah he kind of finally gets the hang of flying but like. Ohhhh you hit the nail on the head he is NOT having a good time! And also this is the point where he realizes that damage to his scales will hurt him!

IT DOESSSS HE GETS SO OBNOXIOUS ABOUT IT. Initially he's blustering about being fine and snapping at everyone to drop it when they try to bring up the shapeshifting, then he's bragging about how awesome it is to be a dragon even as he's angrily stuffing the scales back into a satchel. He's so so obnoxious you're right.

Hiccup recognizes that Snotlout's the small arena nightmare right away! Though immediately after stating this he asks if this is the reason why the small arena nightmare refused to do the hand trick: because Snotlout was messing with him? And Snotlout snickers because he does think it's pretty funny that every time Hiccup tried to connect with his dragon form Snotlout's outright ignored him just be a shit. Which of course derails the conversation away from the kill ring!

OUGH. AUGH. Astrid does realize that if Snotlout was the small arena nightmare, and if she broke the small arena nightmare's wing-claws, then -> she's the one who broke Snotlout's knuckles, and she does try to apologize, but Snotlout cranks up the obnoxiousness so bad because he doesn't want to really confront the memory that Astrid's bringing up. He uses her apology as an excuse to flirt and she knocks him on his ass. Neither of them learned a thing from this encounter.

Fishlegs makes less comments about Snotlout's dragonself and more general comments about how Snotlout sucks. He probably does at one point make a pointed comment about how Snotlout's "an insult to the intelligence and strength of dragons", though.

Post-reveal the twins spend a LOT of time trying to goad Snotlout into turning into a dragon for various schemes (or just because they wanna see it). This is both incredibly annoying for Snotlout AND feeds into his ego, as the twins are wont to do. And AUGH AUGHH THE TWINS MAKING JOKES ABOUT SNOTLOUT'S "TIME IN THE WOODS" OUGHHHH

OUGH AUGH. OH I CAN SEE THAT. MAYBE NOT IN RIDERS BUT DEFINITELY IN DEFENDERS I CAN SEE THIS BREAKDOWN HAPPENING. OUGHHHHHHHHHHH

im back thinking again. regarding my last post with how i interpreted ibuki and fuyuhiko's friendship im heavily thinking abt him and hiyoko. hiyoko more specifically tbh. its hiyoko appreciation time. will contain spoilers

imo she should have lived. also tbh kazuichi shouldve died, not her. thats a whole other sauce tho (again) but like. i feel like hiyoko deserved to survive way more, in general. her potential was really there man

i used to hate hiyoko, i still kind of dislike her in a certain way but its because all of that points blame to the writers of sdr2, for the god awful pacing they thought was good, and how they just didn't really bother to show a lot of growth from her before her time was wrapped up? i enjoy how she was the mean character bc there's always gotta be That One Bitch, but i really would've loved for her to survive, for her to heal and live on for mahiru and even to grow close with fuyuhiko, ibuki, hajime and sonia, and she would perhaps even express sadness towards ibuki and mikan's deaths

its like everything that had happened in the game, and all the time they spent focused on hiyoko and what she was going through just went to waste, and they spent the rest on weaker material or scenes. hiyoko should have been given the same character arc fuyuhiko lived to see. and both of them have so much in common already, they'd make a pretty good duo. e.g., they both lost someone they loved (mahiru & peko), they're both mean, stubborn, and quippy but secretly soft around the right people, also hello they literally look related anyway ... the blonde hair and the rosy cheeks . come on. someone on spike chunsoft saw them. but it didnt work out. anyway i feel like they would bond amazingly, albeit very slowly, but they're definitely the duo to just gossip all the time about other people LOL, and fuyuhiko would try to comfort her as well, because he's lost two people

hiyoko wouldn't just easily forgive him of course, i dont think she ever could, hence why i emphasized they'd slowly bond because the tension would be agonizing. she was furious, and still mourning mahiru when she had just died, but she would at least understand him and grow to accept his company and genuine kindness overtime (and she had almost seemed to near the very end??). if she lived to see his genuine growth and saw that he actually cared and that he would do anything to make it up to her, she'd be way less cautious of him. and she'd realize that the fact that they're both stuck on an island in a killing game, and fuyuhiko genuinely seems to be the only one who seems to bother, and the only one who actually sees her. so if not him, who else does she really have, you know. at least, at that moment

afterwards, hiyoko would just calm down and be more cooperative and helpful overtime, she's not dumb at all and she knows what to say, though she might butt her head in at the worst times, she also doesn't put up with bullshit, the same way sonia doesn't, they both act thoroughly bc they're smart. she'd also be really helpful in the trials tbh, i think she'd be the kind to spot out little details

later on she'd have sonia and hajime to support her too! someone has to help her with her kimono.... fuck it they'd all collectively just tolerate her but also encourage her. compared to fuyuhiko she hadn't really done anything bad, she was just hurt. she just needs someone, now that her own someone was gone

of course id love if she stayed hotheaded but just not call everyone a skank or a pig every two seconds, keep her mean side i love a bad bitch, she just wouldn't have kept that mask up, and she'd learn like, "Oh Shit, these people are all i have, and i need them". if she stuck around, hiyoko wouldve been such a good help as a survivor. and just generally more interesting to see, she woulda stuck out to me more in general. wouldve LOVED to see her shine in chapter three, or the final two chapters

hiyoko fans please rise with me. i love her and her dumb pigtails. tldr im MAD she didn't get her redemption like she deserved she was so cool despite also being nasty but she had a CHANCE dude the potential was shining bright in front of our eyes

early into logans apprenticeship id imagine she wouldnt have any clue, since "daddy just works late nights at the morgue"

but since we agreed that mel would maybe be brought into work occasionally, i think she'd get a hell of a lot more comfortable with that stuff. i think she'd be sorta desensitized to gore overall. i know logan would probably want her away from it but much like diana and lawrence, i think she'd catch on either way.

since i think she would be brought to the warehouse occasionally, she wouldnt really mind logan recreating his trap. i think especially after the death of john, who she was close to just like logan, she might help him out with a few things with the trap (like a jr apprentice)

since shes grown up around the machinery and everyone involved, i dont think she'd really...understand that its bad? since shes grown up around people who share the same ideologies, i doubt she'd see how the 'recreation' is wrong - sorta like children of a cult not realizing its wrong yknow?

as for morgueshipping, i think she'd adjust quickly to mark being a part of their life

she wasnt that old when her mother was killed so really all she's known is logan - another reason she sticks so close to the jigsaw family.

i believe she was a little iffy about hoffman at first, maybe she just didnt like officers or maybe she just doesnt like hoffman - but hes also still getting over his sister at this point. once melissa realizes this i think she'd be a bit softer with him, maybe convince logan tomake cookies with her for the "big sad officer"

with mark, it would take a WHILE to warm up to logan - especially right when he joins. i imagine mark would think logan was taking pity on him and would try to push him away saying shit like "i dont need your fuckin pity"

eventually he does let his walls down around logan - he does let himself be vulnerable. usually he doesnt, but logan understands, he gets what mark if going through with the grievance of his sister because he went through the same thing with his wife. i can imagine logan sitting him down and laying it all out for him.

"losing..losing a member of your family can be hard. i know youre going through a shit ton of frustration. but its gonna be okay. i uh..lost my wife recently. killed same way your sister was. i get it."

from then, the two would get a little closer - talking about how the women in their respective lives was like. they would absolutely bond over it, share a few laughs during trap making (i imagine theyre in charge of that since theyre both fairly strong)

i also think, since mark was the older sibling, he has the urge to care for someone. which is where mel comes into play. once logan properly introduces them, i think mark (who has a soft spot for younger kids) would enjoy her company. especially when hes feeling super pissed after work and he goes to the warehouse with a greeting from a little blonde girl who is willing to give him a hug

hes very dependant on caring for the two of them, especially when he realizes how much melissa is like his sister. shes quick, very very witty and definitely knows how to give a comeback with sass.

the two of them started raising her together, teaching her self defense and how to cook, how to build traps.

it would worry logan how much she enjoys the traps they make, but she seems so so interested. mark would carefully explain to her how the trap he was building works, he would explain how he made it and why the person victimized to it deserves to be there.

I think by the end of her middle school years, she would be building traps just as well as her fathers.

he never really considered himself to be her second father. but it did seem like that, didn't it? they felt like something mark hasnt had in a while. a family. a nice and proper, non cult family.

Theres a girl in my class, shes nice enough. Not really ever to me, we dont talk. But she likes the guy i sit next to so we coexist. I see her in the halls, in the parking lot, and sometimes i see her in town. I dont think she's ever seen me. Not even when we are right across from eachother. Shes the kind of girl you dont look for in the crowd, but you see her nonetheless. She's talkative and loves to speak. She answers every question in class, sometimes i wonder if its because she wants to share the answer or if she just likes the excuse to be heard. It impresses me in a way, she's so focused on the class, she neglects her friends. I cant imagine not seeing her.

Her group is tight and practically famous. They're loud and boisterous and hard to miss. I dont think she's like them. I dont think i want her to be. I like to imagine her as someone more like me. But her group is tight and practically famous. Everyone sees them. I see her.

I like to imagine what would have changed if i sat next to her on the first day i saw her. I like to imagine she'd see me too. I dont like how that makes me feel. I dont want to see her. 2 months ago, i saw her again. She works at a clothing store. My sister had wanted these tops, i bought them for her. She was working the till. I acted as suprised to encounter her as she did to me. I saw her as soon as i stepped in, she barely even saw me at the till.

The clothes were expensive and i told my sister as much. I made her pick her favourite two to keep. The girl smiled and told her not to pick. She used her family and friends discount to cover the rest. I forgot to say thank you. She smiled at me.

8 weeks ago, she dyed a streak of her hair. It was a rich red and it made her stand out. Thats what my deskmate said at least. I wanted to tell her she already stood out, that her hair was just catching up with her. I mustve stared, she smiled at me as she left.

7 weeks ago she was at my desk again. She spoke to my deskmate and didnt see me one bit. My deskmate is tall and quite smart. He likes my bands and he shows them off like me. His shirts are tight and cling to his skin, mine are loose and hide my resolve. He makes my interests look cool, he sees me. But not really, hes sees his idea of me. We aren't friends but not quite strangers. We've spent half a year together, if he hasnt seen me yet i doubt he ever will. 7 weeks ago he invited her to a party. She stroked his forearm and promised she'd show face. At the end of the lesson he said i could come. Could not should.

6 weeks ago, she saw me. I was the first in the classroom and she was second. She smiled at me. Then she sat down. We were both early, about 10 minutes too. For 5 she stared at her phone. I assumed she'd forgot i was there. 5 minutes in, she got up and said to me.

"Why weren't you at the party."

It wasnt really a question, she didnt need my answer.

"I wasn't invited."

She frowned. I didn't know she did that. It didn't suit her glossy lip, her face wasn't supposed to furrow.

"Yes you were, daniel told me you were."

I supposed he left out that it was a pity invite, not one that counted. He left out that it was a could not a should.

"It wasn't a real invite."

"It was."

"Nobody missed me, they didn't need to see me there."

They wouldn't have seen me even if i did go. They only saw their groups. Their circles. I didn't have a group, i wasn't allowed in circles.

"I missed you."

She doesn't see me.

"You dont know me."

"I still looked for you in the crowd, i was sad when i didn't see you."

Then her group dispersed into the class. She turned from me with a smile, and bounded to them. Daniel sat down next to me. He didn't ask me why i didn't come. He didnt need to. He knew what he meant when he said could. He knew i wasnt the kind of person that people said should to.

5 and a half weeks ago she told me to come to her birthday party. She was clear in her wording that i had to come. That it was a real invite and that she could see me. I liked that she could see me. I told her I'd come. She smiled at me and turned back to her friends. She never spoke to me around daniel. Our bond was sacred. She saw me and i saw her. Not the me i presented and not the her she presented. She saw someone who wanted an in, i saw someone who wanted an out.

5 weeks ago, i went to her party. It was busy and full of strangers. I was schocked she knew so many people. I was shocked i knew so little. I didn't see her at all that night. She was dancing with her friends, she was drinking vodka straight, she was making out with daniel. He wore a band tee-shirt, it was my favourite band. When he wore their shirts, he made girls ask him about them. He made girls care. He didn't need to fight to be seen. I think hes a bit of a dick.

By midnight, i was in with her group. Abigail and misha laughed at my jokes and lucas told me i was less stuck up than i seemed. I dont think they saw me but i dont think i cared.

4 weeks ago it was back to normal. Nobody from the party spoke to me outside of class. Nobody approached me all day. Daniel held her hand in the hall and flirted with her at our desk. She didn't really respond, she was just looking at him. She didn't smile at me when she left. She didn't even see me. I asked daniel if he was going out with her. He told me yes but that i couldn't tell abigail because they were still seeing eachother on the side. Then he asked me if i'd met abigail, he told me we had a similar sense of humour. I didnt tell her that he was seeing abigail. I wish i had.

3 weeks ago she didn't come over to our desk. She didn't look our way at all. She dyed her red streak blue and gossiped with her deskmate. She didnt answer a single question in class. I cursed daniel in my head, for taking away that girl i had seen six weeks ago. I cursed myself for not protecting the girl I'd wanted to see more of.

"I like your hair."

I stopped her in the hall after class.

"It's ok, i think the red was better. It made me stand out."

She brushed her streak self-consciously.

"Daniel was wrong. You already stood out without the red. It was nice, i liked it. The blue is better though, it matches your eyes."

"Why didnt you tell me?"

I looked at her blankly.

"That you liked it."

"Daniel already said it."

"Its different from you."

She frowned at me again and walked off.

She saw me.

2 weeks ago we didn't speak at all the entire week. Not that we avoided eachother but that we had no reason to speak. But we had become a unit. We went from she and me to we. We collaborated in existing. She saw me.

1 week ago she asked me why i never spoke. I told her i didn't have anything to say worth listening to. What could i say that wouldn't mean more being said by someone else. She asked me if someone else always said what i thought. She laughed when i said no.

"Because nobody thinks like you. You're special"

She asked me who i hung out with at school. I told her the truth. She didn't invite me to join her group. She saw me.

6 days ago she told me she listened to my favourite band. She said they were too cool for her. I asked her why she never listened to them for daniel. Apparently she never knew they were his favourite band too.

"I didn't care about what he said to me. I just liked the way he looked at me. He made me feel like i mattered."

I wished she'd known how much i saw her. How much she mattered. Instead i laughed and called him a dick. She laughed and told me i was perceptive. She saw me.

5 days ago we didn't see eachother at all. We had no classes together.

4 days ago she told me she saw my new shirt yesterday. I said i didnt realise anyone noticed. She confessed she noticed most details about me. I confessed i tried not to notice her. She confessed she wished i wouldn't. I confessed i couldnt help seeing her. She confessed it felt like i was the only one who really did. I asked if she saw me.

"I cant stop seeing you. In a crowd i see you, even when i don't see you. I can tell when you're there."

She smiled at me. She saw me.

3 days ago she asked me how my sister was. I didn't know she remembered her. I didn't know how long she'd been noticing me. I didnt know how much she saw me.

Today i watched her answer questions in class and i didnt feel bad about it. I watched her smile at me when she was right and frown when she was wrong. Her glossed lips pulled tight with disappointment but would be laughed into their natural curve easily. She caught my hand as i left and asked for my number. She sees me.

Personally, I think the major problem for her in the comics was that she wasnt really of major importance to the writers. I think the writers thought of her as interesting at first then got bored of her and she was lost to the wind.

I think thats where the problem started.

Secondly, I think the freedom fighters were also at fault. I think they forgot that not everyone has the mental capacity to be a hero. Not exactly good person but I think they expected too much of Fiona. Im not saying this in a degrading way tho. I mean, she went through a lot and they expected her to be healed already, they expected her to suddenly see them as heroes and want to be good. They forgot that not everyone has that inclination. They expected too much and I think that also got her overwhelmed.

Im not sure if this makes sense but yeah this is my take on it.

its pretty clear that bollers and penders didnt have much investment in her character at all, but also that that point she was really just a tangentially relevant side character. like i said in my post, frankly before ian gave her a corruption arc she didnt really have much to offer in the first place. you cant really fault the writers all that much because she wasnt really meant to be of major importance. when ian took the helm as main writer he clearly thought she had potential as a character and utilized that through the corruption arc. she wasnt "lost to the wind", she just became a villain and, as such, didnt need to be on the main screen all the time. archie sonic has a lot of villains and it would be honestly a bit annoying if we spent all of our time with just a handful of them - theyre great characters and should be used accordingly! yeah she took a bit of a backseat in the "scourge+fiona+ss go to mobius and get whacked for it" arc, but like. come on they were clearly setting something up here

she comes back in journey to the east and is pulling together her own gang there, and then comes back in full swing in scourge lockdown, in which they were. also. clearly setting something up

the plan according to ian is i believe that scourge & fiona were gonna have an epic breakup and she'd take the destructix in the divorce, which tracks plenty enough with the setup that was being put in place.

also, honestly im gonna have to partially disagree with you on the second point. its a complicated situation and i think youre simplifying it a bit too much. fiona willingly chose to "become a hero" - its not like they made her. she literally couldve left at any point in time to just be a normal civilian (which is... literally what mina did. nobody had an issue with it, even though mina's superspeed wouldve been a massive aid in battle. she wasnt equipped to be a hero in that way because, like you said, that kind of life really isnt for everybody).

also, the freedom fighters frankly cant be everybody's personal therapist - theyve all got so much baggage themselves and they cant even address that because theyre all in the middle of a war 😭 i dont think its that they expected too much of her - id say its much more in the direction of that they didnt even really consider what she went through or how it wouldve affected her in the first place. its less that she got overwhelmed and more that she was functionally an outsider who had no support system and no friends to stick up for her or try to really make her feel like she was one of the team - not out of malice or anything, but just because nobody really ever thought about it in the first place.

overall its just a really messy situation and while fiona made the bad choices that she did of her own volition, there were real reasons behind why she made those decisions in the first place

What's been bugging my brain recently

Boy oh boy where do I start. Well I suppose I'll start with a little bit of context. Hi! My name is Hunter (if you never knew my real moniker, not many do even if i tell them); and I have been in a disastrous...what could only be described as love illness, since February 28th. Before i explain why (if you dont already know) allow me to provide my full experience with love. When i was in 12th grade i was used as rebound for a girl named Nicole after her boyfriend had broken up with her. It was the first time i had ever gotten to feel love, the expectations of what i should expect were to be established from then forward. We talked a lot asked eachother how we were doing shared similar interests that kinda shit. It was cool, the sex was lukewarm at best but it felt nice to feel appreciated. Thats when her emotional manipulation began. She would be in low points that i attributed to depression. I always told her "go get help for your depression, itll only get worse" all of which she militantly ignored to the point where she told me she was being physically abused by her family. Naturally, stupid me, believed her and grew more and more attached and protective and i didnt find out til after we split up that she was full of horse shit. It was during this point that she would take opportunities when she was "moody" to punch me across the face. Why did i take that shit? I dont know! I guess i was too fucking scared to lose someone i was attached too. Two years passed and i realize she started to ditch me to hang with some dude named Paul and was cheating on me for months. I finally asked firmly if she was and she admitted it, playing sap. I was devestate for about three months afterward. I had planned to kill myself numerous times but always remembered how much my friends would miss me. It was during this time around 2013 that i took up a habit of walking a mile to a nearby bridge on a "private walk" over an artificial lake to just gaze into and get lost in what seemed like infinite thought. I eventually got over her, but only after deleting all contact with her.

Second is someone online i will just call Saber. A very basic ass relationship. No emotional fulfillment for me and only sexting. He was a bit different in abuse in that it was more a financial abuse than anything else. He relied on me to pay for his ffxiv game and subscription and shit cause he didnt live in NA and i didnt see a cent back. The separation was far more a fade then burning out. We just stopped talking and i stopped giving once i realized i was being used

So we arrive more recently, I dont want to use exact names as im still in contact with them and are (presumably) friends and i do not wish to expose information given in confidence. I will just be using first initials as follow: A, B, T, and W.

So it began with a message I'd received from B (all this was when i was freyacrescentshangover on here). He messaged me because we were into the same shit and asked if i wanted to rp. I figured sure! Why not! Well he was pretty chill and nice and i would eventually tell him i had a crush on him. He said "its cool we have similar fetishes but lets just stay friends for now ok?"

It didnt upset me to much. Then W entered my life and boy is she a treat (not sarcastic, mostly). She contacted me for much the same reason. We were into similar shit. We'd spend a lot of time back and forthing this stuff and getting to know eachother and then i finally told her i had a crush on her and her answer is something to keep in mind for later. She didnt say yes, but she didnt say no. She told me things such as ne being cute and how she enjoyed how we had similar kinks and said she'd be down to be more flirty sometimes. I had no fucking idea what this meant (No offense W) so I was more just in a state of confusion where our relationship was. As for why i admired her? She was passionate. Her interests were so emblazoned on her soul that is was visceral just being in a conversation (still is to an extent). Yet she's also so cool and mysterious. It felt like she was someone i had to learn about, someone that i could listen to their passions for hours in complete awe and admiration. Thats still what i admire about her to this day i suppose, but ill get onto that more in a bit.

This was also around the same time i had developed a crush on A. A is super cool and chill even to this day. Never afraid to be herself or says what she feels and that is truely admirable. She'd contacted me because, once again, we were into similar fetishes. We did the old exchange weird stuff and talk until i noticed she, by complete fucking cosmic coincidence, lived in the same town as me. You guessed it! Got a crush on her. This rejection breaks the mold a bit though in that she reciprocated the feelings but felt she was in to many relationships and couldnt provide me the emotional support i needed. Didnt bother me too much.

Well, that is until a couple months later A and her wife formed triad with W. It felt so.....bad if im being honest. I feel guilty to say it and i am really happy for them still! But there's always been a part of me since then that sorta felt......jealous? Short changed? I dont know, its hard to find a word for it. Its like when you taste something super fucking sour but you like expected it to be sweet. My self worth sorta plummeted from it all. Like i just wasnt enough for them..

Cut to later and i met T. Shes super sweet and funny and boy i got a crush on her too! She got into contact with me because......you guessed it! Similar fetishes! It feels like im just gifted with a power that lets people confide their weird fetishes with me. When i told her she told me essentially "Same fetishes dont like you that way".

Now we cut from 3 years ago to a month ago. I get feelings spurring up again for T and W (Probably A too but after how this goes I dont wanna be crushed ever again). I tell T first i have a crush on her. She says something similar to before but elaborates that romantic feelings are very hard for her to obtain. Then I tell W again. She says "We have similar fetishes and thats cool but i dont like you that way". For some fucking reason, this was an emotionally devastating breaking point for me and im not sure why. i got over T in like two days. W on the other hand? Were a month strong in and I still cant stop being depressed about it all. What happened here? What went different here? Was it because of the awkward response id receive years ago? Was it the jealousy-like feelings i still harbored? Is it just because i wanted to hear more about her and her interests and passions hidden under that cool (and sexy) exterior like i had before? I dont know. Probably never will. Likely a combination of all those though.

So here I am, on this weird precipice of loneliness, ready to die any second because my self worth doesnt seem to improve no matter what I do (and ive been doing a ton lately). Will I be able to work up the courage to take another final shot at A? Probably not, my body can't take another hit like that. Atleast not so soon. Will I ever get over W? Im not sure. The last time i felt this bad was with Nicole and I had to cut all contact with her to feel better, but the thought of doing that with W makes me even more sick. Maybe I'm just SOL and my emotional and mental stability doomsday clock is finally reaching midnight (sure hope not! I have Marinas to bully!).

Apart from all this, with how spurred i feel and such. I find it harder and harder to get out of bed every day. To do the things i like keeping myself healthy. Eating. Showering. To live. And yet I move.

of course I love them as a group and how silly they are but also I'm just so obsessed with how much potential they have as a writer. theres so many things you can come up with just from the GGY story alone that are all so interesting as non canon concepts.

like every idea of things getting messed up by glitchtrap and a normal friendship turns sour? or if you go the extra mile and have a reunion later with everyone alive they become super duper close?

and that's another thing. all of the storylines and plots you could do with just GGY the book alone. and it gets ten times better when you tie it with the actual games.

like any scenario where tony survives GGY attack is like the most interesting story in the world to me (hence why I wrote one of my own)

and as for your second question, I think that the group would have the same old problems (tony feeling left out and that his friends dont care about his interests or dont take him seriously, but then going on to never mention this to them or try to fix it and even going off on his own without them even when he didnt need to, and his friends not noticing this and causing the problem in the first place) but it would go a bit differently later because of cassie

like to be honest I'm not very well versed in Cassies character but I think she'd be closer with ellis than tony. but she'd still care (and not be literally possessed) anyway and notice that tony is being distant and leaving them by themselves. I think she'd actually care (and literally have her mind intact enough) and sit with tony and ask him what's up and try to talk to him and solve the problem as friends.

but you cant really blame Gregory for letting this happen too much lol. he was mind controlled and tony still somehow saw him as a mature deep guy to strive to be like. like he wasnt even fucking there to admire lol
