That very specific character pairing where they're both broken, but one thinks "I can fix them!" and in the process is forced to also fix themselves. Drink their own medicine, lead by example, self-reflect when trying to show the other why they're loved/worthy of being loved... Healing you is healing myself

Narc abuse news article except its a platonic hyper empath x narcissist fanfic where the hyper empath compliments the narcissist and the narcissist feels it and hypes up and the empath feels that vibe and feels better and the cycle repeats
Now thats fucking friendship

Anyone ever laugh when re-reading human Feyre scenes with Rhys?😂 — because she has 0 shields, and no wonder Rhys knew they were mates… she literally hits on him every other line, even when unintentional… I mean, she actually thinks “the most beautiful man I’d ever seen” the first time/line they meet (as he later references/teases her with).
Even as a VERY traumatized High Fae with failing shields (going on a depressed monologue), she still says “Rhys- -Rhys with his smirking and sarcasm and bedroom eyes…” and NEVER manages to mention him without MAJORLY boosting his Daemati ego… no wonder his eyes “twinkled with bemusement as he beheld me.”🤣

Everyone talks about 'Power Couple' this 'Married Couple' that or 'Old Couple' here, but what about Comic Relief Couple? That couple who are so chaotic they make every scene look funny. They appear to break the tension or lift the mood. Basically the comic relief character, but as a couple. do not separate them.

God I just absolutely love the trope were two monstrous creatures are dating and one of them gets kidnapped. But when their partner shows up in their beastly form the kidnapped one just laughs. " you're late." They'll say. And thats when the baddies realize they fucked up. The kidnapped partner never needed saved, they were just waiting on their ride to get there. And then they show their true side to escape.

Enemies To Lovers is overrated, give me Enemies And Lovers
Give me two people on opposing teams who angry kiss after every round behind their teams' backs because they cannot keep their hands off each other on the battlefield or outside of it. Give me two people who are so viciously in love with each other that they mistake their romantic desire for mutual hatred, a hunger to rip each other apart on the battlefield and yet pick up their broken pieces over and over again, chipping away at what little defenses they put up against their undeniable want for one another. Their relationship is one of a never-ending war: with their feelings, with eachother, nothing is sustained for too long because neither is peace between their factions. And in a way, love snakes its way into the slashes of their swords and the shots of their guns, constricting them so tight, that it's impossible to imagine the battlefield without their blood in eachothers hands. Their love even shows likeness on the battlefield- their hearts torn out of their chests by the other; the acquisition rough and violent and the possession tender and suffocating.
A love that cannot exist without malice and yet one that manages to thrive despite it.
...
yeah I should go to bed

Yes, you're right, "I'd kill for you – please, ask me to kill for you" is a fun relationship dynamic, but where's the love for the classic attack-dog power dynamic reversal? I'd have thought Tumblr would be all over that one, too. The old "I'll kill for you – and kill, and kill, and kill, if needs be – but first you have to tell me exactly what it is you want. You are not permitted moral distance. Tell me what you need from me and admit your soft hands are just as bloody as mine. Say it. Say it."

I understand the "I will die for you" ship dynamic, but what about the "I will not let you die, I will not let myself die- we will, at any cost, survive" kind of couple?
