Been wondering about FD!mc after sometime getting their own vigilante identity (probably bird related too) after something happens (I've been extremely long without reading the comics) but they mostly operate still as a stand in or maybe only during the day (like with duke or maybe something of both) so no one in gotham knows if it's a new batman helper or some random person trying to be a vigilante (probably a lot of people do that in gotham lol)

Also just wanted to say I read your anomaly/scp mc fic and i loved it and your writing is there anywhere I can find your other mcs/AUs?

Alajda thank you for your interest in ReM and FD! Ummm aside from retrograde motion (which can be read on quotev ao3 and wattpad), the offshoots of ReM aren’t written anywhere and are basically just collections of asks… there’s a mandela catalogue au three shot that’s around but that’s about it. A lot of the AUs go really far back so you’d have to look through hundreds of asks to see everything unfortunately. Uhhh there’s an intro to Doctor AU in the main ReM fic if you’re interested too.

As for FD Mc getting their own vigilante identity, they probably wouldn’t use it much, preferring to borrow someone else’s or better yet, not have to go out at all. I could see them borrowing the batgirl title too lol

In one of your Google talks you said that "crafts" was one of the worst English words, due to the awkwardness of having to articulate "fts" at the end.

This morning I saw the word "twelfths" written out and thought "Well hey, that's gotta worse than 'crafts' right?" Any thoughts on "twelfths?" Lol

"Sixths" and "strengths" are probably worse in that regard, but I simply disdain "crafts" for no other reason than that it conjures up silly associations. There's nothing scientific about it.

Really, though, we should all take a moment to reflect on how odd English is. We can just throw consonants on the ends of stuff and pass it off as inflection. It becomes more obvious if you respell the language in a more regular fashion:

stilt => stilts

bask => basks

keiv => keivz

bild => bildz

limp => limpt

wurk => wurkt

bask => baskt

rig => rigd

rib => ribd

We look at languages like German and Russian and say those have too many consonants in a row? "Bask", "basks", "basked", "basket", and "baskets" are all different words, like, what?!?! We pack so much information into a space that is incredibly non-prominent acoustically. Consider that "shirt", "shirk", and "shirked" are all different words. You have to reliably be able to tell those apart in English! Thank goodness "shirp" isn't a verb!

The three hour drive to Metropolis was nothing but pure fun. Darling dangling the upper half of their body out of the window while you scream along to the radio.

You swear you laughed more on the drive than you have in your entire life. The stunning skyscrapers of Metropolis come into view and Darling excitedly presses their face against the window.

You pull into a spot next to Metropolis Park and hop out of the car. You twist from side to side and breathe in the big city air.

Darling stands next to the car and fiddles with the end of their sleeves. Their eyes dart around looking for any brooding billionaires.

The batboys wouldn’t know Darling had disappeared yet. It’s only 4am and their patrol usually doesn’t end til 6am.

“Hey. Just relax, ok? We’re good for now,” you make your way around the car and pat Darling’s shoulder. They smile at you appreciatively before focusing on the park.

Darling sniffs and rubs their cold hands together, “So who are we waiting for exactly?”

Before you could answer you hear heavy footfalls from behind. Burly arms wrap around your middle and pick you up.

You yelp as the man spins you around and laughs. “Oh my- Conner put me down!”

Conner snickers and sets you back down. You turn to find his boyish grin and sparkling eyes. “I bet you missed me,” he teases and lightly flicks your arm.

You roll your eyes, “And what if I did?” Conner barks out a laugh and shifts from foot to foot. He looks back down at you, the corners of his eyes crinkle.

The undivided attention makes your breath hitch. You try and come up with some corny joke just to hear him laugh again but you’re interrupted.

“Ummm hi?” Darling waves at Conner. Their head is tilted to the side. You can’t help but feel irked at the mock curiosity.

Conner’s focus shifts, “Oh my bad. I’m Conner.”

Darling approaches Conner and holds out their hand. Conner shakes their hand and eyes the red mark that stretches around their neck.

You clear your throat to end the awkward interaction. “I hate to do this Conner, really, I do. But, I need to cash in that favor you owe me,” you drawl.

Conner’s eyebrows raise at your crooked smile, “I’m concerned but I do owe you. What do you want? Name it. I’ll get it done, no problem.”

You take a deep breath and try to suppress your mischievous grin.

“You.”

Can you make a pedri/ Barcelona x hollywood actress fic? Where the actress and her castmates come to Barcelona to promote the show worldwide and they go to barcelona and have to do like those challenges the players do , on YouTube or an fun interview, or both of them mixed?

This one was a little bit difficult for me. I've never heard of the show Worldwide and doing the research would be too much for a one shot. However, you inspired me to write something else for Pedri instead.

Pedri Gonzalez - Between Two Brothers Part 1/2

PART 2

Summary - Pedri and his little brother, Hugo, has a crush on the same person.

There's nothing Pedri wouldn't do for his little brother Hugo. He was his flesh and blood. His partner in crime, and if everything went well for Hugo in the Barça Youth Academy, he could be Pedri's future teammate one day.

It would be an honor playing football alongside his younger brother. Hugo was skilled both off and on the pitch, with a left foot that threatened to put a hole in the back of the net. His brain sharper than any eleven year old Pedri has ever met.

Perhaps that's why it seemed a bit out of character for Hugo to be so forgetful these days. Misplacing training gear, cleats, waterbottles, you name it. Or this morning, when Hugo claimed to have forgotten to pack the sandwiches that had been prepared for him by their mother.

"Why are we doing this again?" Pedri asked, in the mids of their local supermarket.

"I need a snack between training sessions." Hugo explained and thoroughly scanned the grocery shelves for something edible.

"Donuts are not a snack." Pedri objected, skeptically peering into the grocery basket that his brother was carrying.

"They can be." Hugo insisted.

"Nah. I'm pretty sure they count as a dessert, or a sweet treat."

"No, it's a snack." Hugo said resolute.

Pedri chuckled. "Whatever you say."

After paying for his brother's items at the supermarket, Pedri and Hugo made the journey towards Ciutat Esportiva, the official training ground for FC Barcelona. The brothers made the journey by foot, perhaps to resemble the days of old when Pedri would walk his little brother to school, that neither of them attended anymore.

Walking to training added a sense of normality. Although, the brothers were well aware that they were living a life far from normal for other boys their age. Hugo, who was still adjusting to this fact, while in awe of his brother Pedri, who never seemed to be startled or annoyed at people who stopped and stared at them in the street. Some people, mostly girls, would even cross the busiest roads with Barça jerseys and banners in hand, begging for Pedri to sign them. This wasn't normal to Hugo, who understood that playing for the Barça U11 squad wasn't as prestigious as playing for the first team like his brother.

Nonetheless, what girls saw in his older brother, Hugo, couldn't seem to fathom. Pedri neither had the looks or the charm, and once he grew older and maybe a few inches taller, Hugo would finally be able to say that his brother neither had the skills or the stamina compared to himself, at least on the football pitch.

"Won't your coach be angry seeing you eat those?" Pedri was referring to the donuts, and no, Coach Menendez wouldn't mind. Hugo was betting his pride on it.

"No, she won't." He replied. "My coach likes jam donuts, she even said so herself."

"She?" Pedri arched his brows.

"Erm, yeah." Hugo felt how his face turned red under the Barcelona sun. And it didn't help that his brother kept looking at him as if Hugo should have more to say about the matter.

"So the Donuts is for your coach, not you?"

"Dammit." Hugo muttered to himself. Now he had to unravel his lies. He did so without raising his eyes from the street. "Erm....no, not really. Their for me....as a snack."

"But...?"

Without meeting his eyes Hugo could sense the grin on his brother's lips.

"No buts." He shirped. "I just thought it would be kind of me to share them with her, that's all."

"Very kind indeed." Pedri muttered. "She must be a very special coach."

"You have no idea."

You and Damian are both your mother's child. You both carry what your mothers have taught you. The good, the bad, the messy and sharp. It's part of the reason the two of you get along.

Damian does not accept people readily. Even with the stories his mother tells him of you, he spends a good amount of time observing you for himself when he first arrives and especially after he finds you do not consider yourself family. What he finds is that-

You are only ever as close to others as you allow yourself to be.

You push and dig your nails into everyone's life whenever you want to. Becoming Robin whenever you feel is necessary, approaching his father and demanding for him to spend time with those under his wing (demanding him to be a father and not just a hero), arranging for Damian to "hang out" with his father's wards so they can "get along" and so on. You're everywhere. You'll mould everyone's relationship into what you want it to be, involve yourself to the degree you think is needed and then-

and then you leave.

You pull away. You linger in the periphery, watching as everything falls into place, like a director of a film who can never appear on the screen with the 'happy' family, hiding in the wings as the curtain call ends.

You can try to live in denial forever, you can come around to the manor every holiday, you can sleep in your room in the family wing, you can call yourself "Tim's sibling" and "a family friend" all you like but Damian craves more.

Sometimes he thinks you're selfless to the point of selfishness. And maybe he's selfish too, for wanting everything you've given him and more. The Al Ghuls have always been like that. His mother, his grandfather, himself.

Asdasldkhaslka listen, it's about how everyone, including Damian, takes comfort in your love, in knowing you're always there for them to fall back on. It's about how the love you keep giving makes it difficult for them to realize how you thought you weren't family until you said it out loud.

It's about how you can't accept the love you think isn't yours to take but you keep giving. It's a responsibility you tie yourself with. Maybe you think it'll make you worthy of being love, of actually existing, in this universe.

And it's about how Damian had thought that he was sent to his father for a purpose (becoming Robin) that he needed to fulfill in order to stay. And how he was shown that he didn't have to do anything to be loved. And about how he sees some parts of who he is meant to be in you.

You are his sister. He had already decided. And he wants to be your brother, wants your acknowledgement more than anything else you could give him.

So, stop pretending like everyone around you doesn't care about you, okay? And accept their love for what it is.
