Just a little house for my post-capo-dystopian Twinbrook. Read after the cut for the inspo. The interior is quite small, but has the basics and the balcony holds further essentials. No electricity.

The Inspiration

I belong to an AI art group on Discord and this a pic from that group. Even though I have mixed feelings about AI art, the pics in this one's batch gave me Sims 3 vibes. So...I just went with it.

SIMS 3 WORLD - LOST COVE 2025 ( bold redux )

First, few words related to howto with Lost Cove ;)

There will be 2 posts : one general about the World itself, the ANTS ( Absolute Necessary Things & Stuff ) - the CC used - the stories around Lost Cove - the DL link ... And then a second post related to Lots ( both residential and community ) - the credits - our own CC we made ( yep ... we made some xtra stuff for your eyes only ) <- incredible isn't it ? :D But let's start with some pictures ;)

No way to avoid it, this is a boldy bold update for the 10th anniversary, of Lost Cove, because it has been completely remade from scratch, based on an alternate Isla Paradisio, with new textures, new lots, new ( almost ) everything, and old cc fully remade to be sure to not loose anything this time ;) We tried to re-compose the old Lost Cove. But this time, we cleaned everything which had to be and left the Hidden Lots, the Dive Spots, 4 Ports, and even the Smuggler's Lair :D

Lost Cove has a whole story. And Lost Cove IS a whole story in itself ;)

Lost Cove is born in 2015, from a simple picture posted by SimCookie of their world : the famous and fantastic Sunset Died, an apocalyptic Sunset Valley world, 12 years ago. At this time, I never approached CAW and sims 3 worlds creation before. And frankly, I had no time for this. But the picture of the broken Twinbrook Hall was like an appeal … to do more with the best Sims franchise :D

I wrote to SimCookie to ask them if I may use the same way to place the Twinbrook broken Hall but into a complete different kind of world. They agreed. And so, I began working on Lost Cove during my vacations, based on an empty Isla Paradisio maxis world. I called it the Red Path project.

6 weeks long, I learned intensively the basics of CAW. My world was not intended to have a lot of lots, so I concentrated my efforts on textures, trees and objects. I failed a lot of exports. I used both CAW and Super CAW. I woke up at 6 in the morning each day, and worked on Lost Cove hours and hours, all days long :D And then, on a summer hot day, Lost Cove was there. At last ... May we say proudly Lost Cove is the natural child of Sunset Died ? YES !

Lost Cove is a post-apocalyptic world, swallowed by nature, forgotten by time. It all began 28 days after the Sunset Died event : no more electricity, no more roads, no more comfort. Just ruins, silence … and survival.

Like in every sci-fi book or movie, the Sims went too far. Maybe. It was an experiment gone wrong. Or a slow, quiet collapse under the weight of pollution and hubris. A virus ? A comet ? Nuclear fire ? No one really knows. The old world didn’t end with a bang, just a thousand overlapping catastrophes. And Before was over.

The world cracked open. The sea rose like a hand closing around the archipelago. Bridges collapsed. The downtown core sank. Entire neighborhoods vanished underwater. Only one broken road remains now : winding, overgrown, half-erased by time. The islands are no longer connected. No ferries. No cars. Just water, and what courage it takes to cross it. Most Sims never dared.

But nature didn’t wait. It took back everything. Technology ? Forgotten. Trees pushed through asphalt. Ferns choked stairwells. Roots claimed living rooms. Earthquakes opened old wounds in the ground, and storms swept away what was left standing. Power grids failed. Satellites went dark. Digital voices fell silent.

And amidst it all … the Sims adapted. They hid. They learned.

28 weeks later ... By 2020, we released a small and quick update. Nothing fancy just a nudge forward. Something had shifted. Sims weren’t just scavenging. They were rebuilding. Lost Cove had once been a small, tightly-woven community before the Fall. When the end came, many fled inland. They disappeared into the continent in search of family, safety, a future.

But others stayed. Maybe because they couldn’t leave. Maybe because they wouldn’t. A few were stubborn. A few were hopeful. A few were just too tired to start over somewhere else. So they stayed and planted seeds, literal and otherwise.

They started small. A gathering spot. A drink shared under candlelight. A warm body next to yours by the fire. The Bloody Way Bar came first. A place to talk, argue, cry. A spark in the dark. From there, ideas ... Rebuilding, on their own terms. No rules from the old world. No pretense. No mayor, no tourists, no schedule. Just something real. Something possible.

The Nature School came next; rough, messy, entirely unorthodox. A place to pass on what they remembered, and maybe invent something new. Nothing is like it was, but it was a start. And in Lost Cove, a start means everything.

28 months later ... And here we are, present day ;) Life is ( just barely ) better in Lost Cove ... Some homes have been patched up with scrap. The Dispensary is cleaner, stocked with whatever tinctures, herbs or bandages locals could gather. The Nature School is functional, if improvised. The streets ? Still nonexistent. The power grid ? A dream. Forget supermarkets. Forget cars, Forget comfort.

Your Sims hike, every time. Miles of forest, frost, or scorching sun between them and their destination. Every trip is a decision. Every hike is a risk. There are no easy visits, no casual get-togethers. Lost Cove is beautiful, brutal, and endlessly wild.

Winter hits hard. Snow blankets everything. Lakes freeze. Frostbite is real. Wander too far and you might never come back. Even summer, with its open skies and lush overgrowth, hides its dangers. There are forgotten places in Lost Cove — old ruins, sealed bunkers, silent islands — waiting to be uncovered. Not all of them should be.

Some Sims dream of electricity returning. Of clean water, instant noodles, digital music. Others say that dream is over. That the future lies not in recovery, but reinvention. A new way to live. One that belongs here, to this broken place. Tensions rise. Power is shifting, slowly. Questions are whispered in every fire-lit home : Can this fragile community hold together? Will the lights ever come back ? And what will the children of Lost Cove believe in ?

This 2025 Lost Cove update is more than just a patch: it’s a 10th anniversary redux ! As we previously said, we rebuilt Lost Cove from scratch using a heavily modified Isla Paradiso map. New terrain textures. New routing. New or remastered lots. More than 3500 hand-placed trees and plants. All previous custom content has been reworked, nothing lost this time ;D

Lost Cove has now 30 lots : 15 community lots ( + 2sheep fields ) and 15 residential lots. And there are still empty lots here and there :) Lost Cove is unpopulated. But we provide 2 save games :)

The map retains its soul : the hidden islands, the dive spots, the collapsed downtown, and the iconic broken Hall. But there’s more. More decay, more discovery. More survivor hubs, weird spaces, overgrown secrets. We added new spots, simple gathering places for Sims to talk, dream, share — maybe even rebuild something better than before.

Play Lost Cove your way :

Harsh winters and sparse supplies — if you want full-on post-apocalyptic realism.

No libraries. No grocery stores. You want to eat ? Grow your own food or barter for it at the tiny Freshy Market. You want to learn ? Grab any rare books at the Oldy Flee Market. You want a more grungy despair ambiance ? Uglify the world.

( this one is not mandatory or ANTS since many things are encapsulated into the world and every lot via .sims3packs, but we strongly recommend to use it. It's almost the one we use in all our worlds :) Very useful indeed ! )

Due to the difficulty sometimes to get the good links for many things related to the Sims 3 stuff, most of the whole cc stuff is included into the cc folder provided. Some others are just links for a direct download :) So, always thanks the all mighty creators who made a fantastic work for our pleasure since 2009 :

A quick word for those who are used to play our Sims 3 Worlds : we almost always use the same cc. So you won't have to replace the whole cc ! Just have a quick look ... in case ;)

Inside the packages folder : there are our UPDATED patterns : they are not mandatory at all. We modified the old Lost Cove lots to be free cc compliant BUT ... We made a bunch of 46 walls and 2 floors in a full destroy/metal/oldstone style :D Have fun to use them to recolor containers and houses :D

Oh ! Almost forgot !!! Lost Cove ( and our other worlds ) have now their OWN loading screen ( see the related post ) ... We included the file into the cc packages folder. It's really really great :)

2 days later. It was still quite early in the morning when Vita was already back in the kitchen. Because one of the side effects of pregnancy, whether positive or negative, is being hungry, no matter what time of day. She hadn't had anything like this for almost 17 years. And she almost forgot how annoying these mood swings could be.

Gerhard and his wife also got up early. Then today is the day they will move into their new home. It was still possible to find an intact house. They ate breakfast in silence together with the others. But afterwards they had to exchange a few important words.

Gerhard spoke to Vita. “We had our disagreements until the end, but… We still want to thank you for giving us a roof over our heads when we were in need"/ ‘well, we like to help others when they need help, don't we?’. He looked at her in disbelief, by now it was hard to tell whether she was being ironic or not. “I'd rather not say anything about that now. I was looking for something useful for us yesterday and found another intact house."/ ‘Oh, I'm glad to hear that’.

“Oh, you're pleased, Vita? You've been as obnoxious as ever in the last few days…”. Vita thought back to the one night and the conversation between her husband and the stranger on the other end. It had a positive effect on her mood. “I apologize for my behavior, it might be partly due to pregnancy or… Oh, I just hope you'll feel better then. “/. Vita's behavior was also something new for Gerhard at that moment.

Holly didn't want to miss the chance to say goodbye either. “It's a bit of a shame that you want to leave, but… I understand your decision…”. Nancy smiled and shrugged her shoulders. “It wasn't meant to be a permanent solution to stay here. Thank you for looking after Malcolm from time to time, it wasn't a matter of course, I didn't want to take away your youth"/ ‘it's o.k., i had enough time and I'm very happy with Ethan’/ ‘he's a good boy’.

The men also had one last chat in front of the door. And Nick's head was working. "I'm... I'm sorry." Gerhard looked at him almost incomprehensibly. "What? What are you apologizing for, huh? For having to be your henchman for the last few months? Or for the fact that your opinion always carried more weight than the others'? I'm certainly not staying here because of an apology"/ "You don't have to."

“Then you don't need to start showing anything like remorse now, okay?"/ ”hh, I don't want that either, I… My God. You'd better tell me if you want to work as a doctor again"/ ”What? How am I supposed to do that? I'm in diagnostics and I can't work without the necessary equipment”. Nick looked at the floor for a moment and nodded. “Yes, that's true, of course. But… Maybe you'll think about it again soon.”

Gerhard turned and headed for the door… “It's just… I know you were passionate about your work. And now that Dr. Wolff is pausing for a while because of her pregnancy, you could do other things in the hospital"/ ”It's not even a real hospital, Nick. A small doctor's surgery and a military tent, that's not enough and it's cold as fuck there too.”.

Nick took a deep breath. “Yeah, I know. Well, maybe that can still be changed…"/ ”Let it go, Nick. You've wanted to change things so many times and you haven't. . I'll be on my way now with my wife and son. “/ “OK, then… Good luck for now. And if you do need anything…"/ ‘What I need at the moment is rest’. Gerhard walked past him and disappeared into the house to get the rest of his things and leave with his family.

Gerhard was glad to have freed himself from Nick's hands. Sure, he was never a prisoner in their house or anything like that, but he no longer held the same views as Nick. “And I really have my own room?”. For Malcolm, the whole thing was a new chapter as well. “mhm, yeah, “/”can I have an ant farm then? Holly always thought they were disgusting"/ ”we'll think about it, but you have to take good care of them. We don't want them running all over the house"/ ‘o.k.’….The new house was further away, but they were happy to put up with the long walk.

Sims 3 Gameplay Mods

I was going through MTS looking for mods to improve my gameplay and thought I would share the ones I downloaded!

Livestreaming Mod - Allows your sims to livestream from a PC for tips, blog followers, and celebrity points.

More Pregnancy Interactions - Adds more options for the pregnant sim and more social interactions with all age groups!

Yoga Mod - Allows your sim to do yoga and also lead a yoga class for simoleons.

Laundromat Fix - Actually empties the laundry hamper on your sims home lot when using a washing machine at a laundromat.

Dirty Laundry Mod - Gives your sim a negative moodlet when dirty laundry hasn't been washed in a few days. Gives more incentive to do your sims laundry!

Layoff Mod - Gives your sim a 2% chance at the end of every work day of being laid off. Depending on their work level they may get unemployment benefits.

Nicer Vendors - Overrides the default animations when interacting with vendors, looks more friendly.

Acne Mod - Gives teens-adults a chance of waking up with acne. Adds washing face options and applying acne toner at sink.

Sunscreen - Allows you to buy sunscreen from the store, will protect sims from getting a sunburn with Seasons installed. Works on vampire sims as well.

Restaurant Host Career - Allows your sim to work part time at diners/bistros as a host. Only 1 career level.

TSM > TS3 Facial Expressions - Overrides most s3 facial expressions with the sims medieval ones making them a lot more realistic and natural looking.

One With Nature - Allows your sims to sleep outside on ground, wash themselves in bodies of water, and go to the bathroom outside. Needs Nraas traveler mod to work. (Good for apocalyptic gameplays/adding realism?? haha)

Walk Cycle Edits - Overrides original walk cycles so there's no forced smile, allowing your sims to make facial expressions based on mood/surroundings.

The Randomizer Mod - Triggers more random events that effect your household. Adds more realism and can effects the relationships/friendships your sims have. (Can choose between which random event modules you want in your game based on play style!)

More Negative Moodlets - Negative moodlets cause a greater effect on your sims mood making it a bit more realistic.

jon sims is not the antichrist he's actually a jesus figure

i've been doing a lot of research into revelation for writing stuff and martin is very incorrect when he calls himself the antichrist's plus one. that's melanie. and here's why

1) the antichrist is a figure that stems from the book of Revelation, the bible's apocalypse book. But the antichrist actually had nothing ot do with the apocalypse start, and actually doesnt even show up till like 19 chapters in its insane. He's just some random dude who starts a cult, and has a False Prophet hyping him up, so the antichrist is actually georgie and the false prophet is melanie. 2) the person who actually starts the apocalypse is 'the lamb with seven horns and seven eyes, that looked like it'd been slaughtered,' which is a metaphorical representation of jesus. (Funnily enough, if you look through revelation, its actually angels doing most of the tormenting, not demons!) 3) He has literally died and woken up before, and then some time later he dies for real, just like actual jesus. Not to mention him descending into the buried--literally being buried in a cave, just like jesus was on the cross, before emerging after 3 days. Peter even explicitly calls him a 'grubby jesus'. 4) Jesus as a character is all about self-sacrifice and needless suffering to bring about a better world. Wonder What That Reminds Me Of! Even his 3-day descent into the buried is explicitly a self-sacrifical, semi-suicidal act. And on a more literal level, Jon suffering on every level possible was what was necessary to bring about the Change, and then the expulsion of the Fears from this universe (and dooming a bunch of other universes, but just as the bible doesnt spare a thought for all the people trapped in hell for eternity when describing the post-apocalyptic utopia, we're not thinking about the other worlds rn. just this one.) 5) the amount of jon fanart i've seen mistaken for jesus is truly ridiculous

Southwestern Gas and Cafe (used to have gas)

The gasoline tanks have all run dry these days with no hope of getting refilled in the foreseeable future, but sims can still get food and drinks, also play a bit of skee-ball.

I played around with this one a lot, went back and forth changing the colors, top railing, gas pumps, sidewalks, etc. before finally settling on the final look. (However, I'll note that this lot is not my creation, please see the creator notes at the end of this post.)

The proprietor looks very grumpy, though the patrons seem to enjoy visiting.

Creator notes: I didn’t create this lot, I just grunged it up to fit the neighborhood vibe. The creator is Flora2 over at Mod The Sims. It’s one of three art deco gas stations by her, and is called Southwestern Gas and Cafe. The clean, shiny original version can be found here:

Howdy! This is the start of the choose your own adventure series!

This will be a CYOA series, 141 xReader. Readers will vote on the choices made at the end of each part.

CYOA MASTERLIST

The goal is to update bi-weekly (but that may vary). So published part, one week for voting, next part gets published ASAP. I will likely have most parts pre-written before the voting period ends, just so that we don't wait any longer than that for the next part. This series will run as long as needed until the end of our story. This will run through, no longer than, the end of July/August. (School starts and I will be too busy.) (So about a 2-3 months long runtime)

First vote, because you even get to pick this! (After this we'll pick some details about Reader, a la their job, role, etc.)

Mil Action: You’re embedded with 141—intel specialist, medic, tech support, etc. (we'll vote)—and everything goes to hell. High stakes, shootouts, betrayals, tactical flirting. (most developed idea right now.)

Dating Sim: You just got stationed at a base with four very different men. Will you fall for the soft one, the grumpy one, the flirt, or the mystery man? A combo? Or all four? Flirting, jealousy, some action, drama.

Fantasy AU: (least developed idea ngl, i've never played dnd more than two sessions this would be diff for me.) You’re a healer/mage/thief/royalty/etc. and end up on a quest with a band of dangerous but hot mercs. 141 but make it swords, magic, and dragons.

Apocalyptic: Zombies, radiation, or just societal collapse and the 141 is your team of survivors, and you have to make choices to keep everyone (yourself included) alive.

Supernatural: Ghost isn’t just a name, he might actually be a ghost. Or a demon. Or a cursed soldier. You’re on a team hunting monsters, and maybe you’re not quite normal either. idk

Time Loop: You keep waking up to the same mission. Something’s wrong. Can you trust the team? Can you escape? (this idea came to me in a nap dream a day ago.)

Regency: You’re a noble, knight, or spy drawn into a tangle of court politics and secret passions. Ghost is a disgraced general. Soap is too charming. Price knows more than he says. (Dating Sim but Regency/loyalty)

Sci-fi: You’re on a crew exploring deep space, caught between military conflict and alien threats. Ghost is the brooding pilot (KIDDING, it's Nik, or not, give G some credit). Price is the commander. Soap’s got cybernetics. Gaz is the weapons expert. (again lowkey dating sim but way more intense/actiony)

Mafia/Crime: You’re caught in a web of crime and power. One of the 141 is the boss, others are his enforcers. and/or One last job. You’re the planner or the wildcard they didn’t mean to recruit. Can you pull off the score and keep your heart intact?

By now it was evening. And Xander had also had a look at the new lot. But as he was about to make his way home, Zelda stopped him short. “Here you are."/ ”Um, yeah? I can't be everywhere… What's going on?"/ ”OK, I know you two've had your problems, but… It would be nice if you could check on Pauline. The pregnancy is really getting to her”.

"You sound like it's my fault"/ "Well, maybe it is you, after all she slept with you AND Hank." Xander reacted annoyed and rolled his eyes "Yeah, thanks for reminding me again"/ "It doesn't matter now. Please, I think it would really do her good to see you. Believe it or not, but she's always talking about you and worrying about her baby..." He took a deep breath.

“Come on, okay? She hasn't had any contact with Hank for a while now…"/ ”And that's supposed to convince me now? Man… I… I was planning to see her anyway. Is there anything… I can do for her? Bring something?”. Zelda smiled, as he seemed to have finally woken up. “hn, she's totally on an onion trip right now, I can't tell you why, probably the hormones"/ ”Onions? Unusual… O.K.”.

Xander had often thought about Pauline in the last few days. Of course he would like to know how she was really doing. And he remembered some of the conversations he'd had with her. She didn't want children, at least not so quickly. Maybe that's why she's not doing so well. “Do you like onions?"/ ‘eww, no, they always make your mouth stink’/ ‘hm, one likes them, the other doesn't’.

Xander was really willing to bring an onion for Pauline. But unfortunately there were none today. Instead, he took something else that he thought she might like. On his way home, he passed his parents' house. He stopped for a moment, but didn't look over. And his path not only led past his former home, but also past the small hospital.

As he walked past the tent, he saw Pauline standing in the entrance. That made him a little suspicious. What was she doing here so late? He hesitated for a moment, but then he went up to her. She was a little surprised when she saw him. “What are you doing here?"/ ”That… Could I ask you too… Is everything all right? With you and…” he looked down at her stomach and pointed his finger at it. ‘Since when do you care about that, Xander, huh?’.

He looked at her seriously. “Pauline, I care about you, you know that. And when I ask you if you and… your baby are okay, I mean it, okay?”. She shook her head and looked at him. “My baby's better than I am at the moment. Anyway, Jamie assumes he's… Or she's fine. There's not the option of having an ultrasound. Hh,. I'd love to see my baby at least once, you know?“

Xander looked down her body again until his gaze settled on her stomach. "It'll be fine, like she says, OK?" Pauline let out a deep sigh that had apparently been building up for a long time. "Can I…?" Xander asked for permission to stroke her stomach. "You can't even see anything…"/ "Not that…" It was true, you couldn't see much, but you could definitely feel that little bulge. Pauline wasn't alone here.

He slowly pulled his hand away again. “Are you all right? And the children?” Pauline asked him with an almost wistful undertone. “Well… Bella wants her bedtime story every night, and Michael… I can't figure out what's wrong with the boy at the moment. He hangs out with Peter a lot and has this strange grin on his face."/ ‘hn, he likes him’/ ‘why do you say that so strangely?’.

“because I have eyes in my head and so do you… what do you think why they're always hanging out with each other?"/ ‘You… You don't think the two of them… Oh please…’/ ”Hnhn, don't worry about it, okay? You can't do anything about feelings…these things just happen"/ ‘hmm… Yes’. Her words only reinforced what he himself had been feeling all along.

He looked at her for a long time, but she avoided his gaze for a moment and smiled sheepishly. “Is it true that you're into onions these days?”. She rolled her eyes and laughed a little. “Oh man, you ran into Zelda?"/ ‘Hnhn, yeah. I would have liked to bring you one, but… They didn't have any right now’/ ”it's okay. Did you know she's making out with Hank… And with Gobias?"/ ‘you're kidding?’. Pauline shook her head.

She turned a little. “I'm sure you'll tell me now that this should sound familiar for me. Yes… The only difference is that it doesn't hurt me. She and I… We're very similar in character, and she's always been interested in what I've had…"/ ‘And you tolerate that?’/ ‘I kind of have to… She's actually a good friend, too’.

Xander raised his voice a little. “Actually? She's sleeping with your ex and with her… I don't know, lover? Do you think all this up and down is good for you and especially for your baby?” She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “No… It's not… It's stressing me out, really, I really got into it with her the other night"/ ‘It shouldn't have to be, Pauline…’.

She looked him in the eye for a moment. “And what do you think I should do? I can't ignore it, I'll just let her do it, she'll see where it leaves her. But I…"/ ”hm? What about you?”. Pauline's fingernails dug nervously into her palms. “I know you're incredibly skeptical about the baby… But I'd like to be back with you… and the other two“/ ‘hm… ’”.

Xander looked at her seriously. “You're right about the baby. But I also want you to have as little stress as possible… Besides…"/ ‘hm, what?’/ ‘The kids have been asking about you too…’. When he said that, it brought a smile to her face. “Really?"/ ”Mhm…listen, I don't want to rush things, okay? But I want you to be okay… So"/ ‘So… Can I come with you?’/ ‘First of all, another try…’/ ‘And when the baby arrives?’

“We'll see, okay? I think… I need to see the little thing first, maybe even hold it in my arms, to be able to judge whether evantually it's mine… Or not. O.k.?"/ ”hmhm. Then… I'll just go and get my things, all right?"/ ‘Hey, wait…’ It couldn't go fast enough for Pauline. She ran off to Zelda's house and packed her things.
