19. If you wrote an ACOTAR book what would it be called?
It would be Elucien and it would be called A Court of Golden Visions .... Which is why my new fic is going to be called Golden Visions lmao.
25. What's a court you'd like to write more about?
Autumn for sure which I intend to do in Golden Visions. And Day as well will be featured. But really all of the courts intrigue me I think because we've seen so little of them in canon.
29. What do you think is your favorite/best ACOTAR fic you've written?
Haha I knew you'd throw this back at me. Solo, I think I will say I have a real soft spot for what I did in I Think I Saw You In My Sleep. I think the set up is one of my better more experimental ideas and as a one shot I think it's really solid start to finish. There is also some imagery in it that I really enjoyed and reflect on sometimes.
But I also love our fic together, Dear Lucien, Dear Elain. It's definitely a lot different than anything I've written before and the process has been so fun.

Top 3 most controversial acotar takes/opinions, now☄️
Uh nooooo only my top three? Alrighty. These are going to be very harsh:
1. I have read the ACOTAR series at least 3 times since 2021 and I very often skim chapters every week for posts and videos. And I will be fully honest, I never want to reread the series ever again because of Feyre. I dislike her biases, her hypocrisy, her habit of ignoring other people’s POVs and the mistakes she’s made. I hate her excuses and her blindness and selfishness and how she treats everyone who is not in the IC. I hate how she treats Tamlin and Lucien. I physically cannot reread ACOWAR without flinching at all of the stuff she does, ESPECIALLY her taking down Spring out of revenge. I do not like her as an FMC and I’m glad we have moved past her story and onto other characters.
2. I think the fanbase’s hatred for Tamlin is so extreme and it is heavily influenced by Feyre’s own biases, as well as stupid memes on tiktok. If you take a second to look at the story from Tamlin’s perspective, you can easily understand his actions. With Hybern, EVERYONE FORGETS THAT 1. He was not part of the Archeron Sister’s kidnapping, that was Ianthe. It’s literally explained by Hybern in the book. And 2. He was playing as a double agent, which is hinted at many many times and it is something we later discover. I would go into it more but I feel like that’s its own post that many people have made before.
3. I don’t think SJM is the best writer. I know writers can retcon, especially in huge series like this, but she uses retconning as a crutch, and it’s very frustrating. She has so many inconsistencies and plot holes and inconveniences that personally bother me. I think her world building in ACOTAR is so flat and not thought out at all, and her magic system is even worse. Most of her villains, not just in ACOTAR but in her other series, are not that good idk. She also has a habit of the typical villain monologue that I am getting so sick of and I literally skip the part of the human queen during the Blood Rite because I think it’s so badly written 😭😂
And here’s some random ones just for fun with no to little explanation (I couldn’t do just 3 LMAO sorry)
4. ACOTAR would be better in 3rd POV limited and we can still get the mystery of the world, Feyre’s biases, etc. A lot of problems I have would be solved if we got the POVs of other characters
5. I would like Rhys so much more if he was revealed to be a villain
6. Lucien is one of the only characters I genuinely enjoy, and I’m holding out for him. If he did not exist, I would not be reading ACOTAR at all
7. The IC are awful for how they treat Nesta and I DESPISE THE “intervention” they put her through. It was not a real intervention and readers should not try to defend it in that way
8. This fanbase is filled with too many straight normies who have never experienced a fanbase before and refuse to broaden their minds and think beyond canon. Tamsand would be the most popular ship in any other fanbase. There would be more sexuality and gender headcanons. Trans headcanons, trans fanfics, m-preg fanfics, etc etc. But I guess this is a very popular fantasy romance so I get why those aren’t popular but I should not have to explain why it’s okay to ship ships that aren’t canon, and why people often insert their heteronormative fantasies in queer ships (looking at you Azris)

Stupid Ask time (as requested) :-)
Pick any fictional character and what you think is their favorite cereal (Any other breakfast food could also apply if it’s easier😂😊) If your REALLY bored and full of brain energy feel free to tell me your reasoning in the form of a haiku🤣
Yesss, thank you so much for responding to it!😁😁
As for breakfast food, I'm thinking ToG cast so let's see
1. Aelin: the sweetest breakfast cereal you can find with a chocolate hazelnut shake on the side
2. Rowan: definitely an avocado sandwich or something that's very very low effort, maybe a boiled egg?(He likes meat on a stick, I don't expect much pickiness from him but he probably prefers healthy stuff, someone has to balance Aelin)
3. Aedion and Fenrys: Fruit Loops, they like being a kid(they still are, they won't agree tho)
4. Lysandra and Dorian: Definitely Pancakes, something tasty that doesn't take too much effort
5. Elide: a proper English breakfast spread, my girl has standards
6. Lorcan and Manon: black coffee straight from the pot, who has the time for a proper breakfast?
Oops, it was supposed to be one character, I made an entire list, hehee😅😅 hope you enjoy😁😁😁
Bonus: Chaol: Kale sandwich(you see what I did there?🤣)
EDIT: I HAD BEEN BOILING AN EGG WHILE DOING THIS AND FORGOT TO TAKE IT OFF THE STOVE ANS NOW MY ALUMINIUM BOWL IS IN MORTAL PERIL

Uhhh what did I miss? Why are big artists leaving the fandom and what did fairyloot do?
Fairyloot didn't do anything - this fandom is just entitled and out of control.
Fairyloot released the designs for their special edition ToG a couple of days ago, and some people disliked it. I say "some" because the post now has 50k likes and plenty of people do actually like the designs, I personally like them and if I had the disposable income I'd buy them.
So people flooded the comments with complaints. I mean it's over 4k comments now. Not all of them are negative, but many of them are incredibly rude and entitled. Like astonishingly so.
But they couldn't leave it at that - they had to go to the page of the book designer and the fan artist and leave rude comments on their pages, too.
Do people have legit things that make sense to want to change? Perhaps. Making the stag white would make sense if that was literally supposed to be the Lord of the North and not just a stag. I guess the wyvern is the wrong color if it's supposed to literally be Abraxos and not just an abstraction of wyverns, of which there are many in the book. In terms of the color and design of the covers, they were going for a vintage look, which the book designer explained, and is something I clocked before she even made that comment.
And the allegations of plagiarism are ridiculous considering the similarities between the two special editions are elements coming from the damn series. I mean, a landscape? In art? Fucking revolutionary /s
The thing is, even if all of these feelings are justified - you can be sad that the colors aren't vibrant, you can be sad that they are relatively monochromatic, you can think that there are other, better special editions out there - that doesn't fucking mean that you need to tell the whole world how you feel, especially when it's going to negatively impact the people who worked really hard to create these books. And what's more, these special editions are a luxury item. No one has to buy them. No one is owed the specific design that they want.
These assholes probably already own and have read the series. If they think someone else has done it better, and for cheaper, then go buy that other version!!!! Go commission someone else for their hard work then, bestie! And you'll quickly find out that people's hard work and time is actually quite valuable and probably regret your decision.
All the comments saying it's a cash grab - I'm sorry, are you not on the page of a store that sells things in order to make money???? Are you fucking stupid???? "This thing that is completely optional to my ability to live and has no impact on my quality of life that I don't need to buy is too expensive and doesn't look how I would want it to" okay, and? Go cry to the group chat.
All the people saying "it's constructive comments/constructive criticism" -
Did they fucking ask??? Fairyloot didn't post asking what people think, they posted saying "here's the design". If you don't like it, don't buy it.
And there is a way to deliver constructive criticism that isn't harmful. A few hundred people commenting the same snarky, passive aggressive shit over and over is NOT constructive criticism. If people were really concerned about that message getting to Fairyloot and the artists, then all they would have to do is find a comment they felt expressed what they agree with - because there are plenty - like that comment, and perhaps respond saying that they agree. Engage with that comment. Don't fucking dogpile with the same. Goddamn. Comment. Over. And. Fucking. Over. And apparently there were a bunch of reels deconstructing how much the book design sucked too, which I didn't even watch or get into.
People are really out here on the internet acting like no one else is human or has feelings.
So yeah, now big artists are leaving the fandom and tbh, if I were a visual artist, I would have left a long time ago. Other well-known authors are commenting on those artists' posts (Sabaa Tahir, Stephanie Garber, Shannon Chakraborty) in support of the artists.
It's beyond embarrassing to be part of this community so I'm just... pretty much done with it.

I don’t understand something. What’s the point of writing bonus chapters that are not available for everyone? I just found out that there’s also a BC in ACOFAS. I had no idea.
Honestly I have no idea. I’m not sure what’s the thought process for bonus chapters. Even to this day people don’t know bonus chapters exist until someone mentions it. Unfortunately ACOFAS doesn’t have a BC. ACOMAF had Cassian’s BC and ACOSF had Feysands and Azriel’s BC.

Hi! How are you?
Would you be willing to make a post saying that I am interested in being a beta reader?
My main fandoms would be Pride and Prejudice, SJM, Percy Jackson, Eragon, and Mistborn. However, I am happy to read for any fandom, as long as the author is okay with me not being familiar with the canon material and so purely checking grammar, spelling, glaring inconsistencies, obvious plot holes, and the like.
Pretty much my only limitation is that I am not willing to read mature content (references to it are fine though).
Thank you so much!

What’s wrong with Sjm?
Is it worth it getting into the serried?
I tried to get into throne of glass series but the first book was very meh and everyone hyped the second book only for it to be nor as good as I was expecting.
Hello! Finally going through my asks and you, anon, are the lucky person to have the oldest ask that I can respond to without feeling deeply embarassed for letting it rot for so long!
I don't talk a lot about other books on my blog, especially not criticism, but I do take issue with SJM and her work. I was a fan of her books when I was younger, but as I got older and developed a better understanding of critical reading and also of complex real-world issues, I realized that her technical work and her narratives are just not good. If you're looking for a bit of fun and drama that you aren't supposed to think about, feel free to read her work. You'll just have to deal with a lot of ellipses and em dashes. I'd recommend buying it used. However, you should go into it with the knowledge that it is full of holes in many ways. Characters are bent and broken to fit whatever plot is happening in the moment, the narrative perspectives and "lessons" are biased at best and downright harmful at worst, and a veneer of feminism and progressivism is placed over what is in many ways a very backwards and troubling narrative, all while purporting itself as empowering YA content. Like, it had me rationalizing SA at the age of 15. And she can't seem to stop writing racist shit. There's that.
So it's really up to you. If you do decide to read it, just be sure to go into it with the knowledge of what it is, so you don't get blindsided or internalize some shit you really shouldn't. I'm gonna pretend it's not going on a year since I recieved this ask. Cheers.

After I sent the ask I had a thought. There is no basis for Feysand when Feyre couldn’t even freely give Rhysand her own name, he had to forcibly take it. And if that’s not an allegory for abuse, then I don’t know what is.
YES THANK YOU ANON
there literally aren't words to describe just how abusive the relationship between feyre and rhysand is, and just how bad it is.
note: relationships in books are allowed to be complex and toxic. i'm not saying they can't be. i, and most other antis, believe that it's not a good message to send that your books expand on abuse and have a serious take on that topic when the endgame couple is literally worse than the former. even if you ignore all the terrible messages it could be giving to impressionable readers (because there is a halfway decent argument to be made that people aren't often taking their life advice from stories, except that many do when it preaches as a gospel towards feminism), it's just bad writing in general, and people who paid for this story and gave money to the author are allowed to criticize it. that's a perfectly valid thing to do.
the entire basis of feysand's relationship is built on the fact that rhysand had to force, gaslight, and control her into everything for a major portion of their beginning relationship. at first, feyre literally wouldn't do anything involving him unless he took it by force. the only time in the first book where she willingly accepts his help is in the second task. other than that, feyre spends that entire time being forced against her will into doing things for his bidding, his agenda.
in the second book, the first few times she spends in the night court are of her being gaslit into fear and doing what he wants her to do. i mean... "i know you"?? really?? this man does NOT know shit about her, and that's literally one of the most stereotypical things gaslighters say lmao.
and then there’s the whole controlling that constantly goes on throughout their relationship. rhysand is always controlling the way feyre goes through things. acosf is the key example of him doing this — taking away her bodily autonomy and not giving her a choice in what happens to a child that’s going to kill her is absolutely insane. the sad part is that this is completely in character for rhysand too. he would ABSOLUTELY do this, and this doesn’t break the character that’s been established. just because we’re not seeing it through feyre’s rose-colored glasses that are always defending and excusing him doesn’t mean that isn’t the absolute truth.
from the very beginning to the bitter end, feysand always has been and always will be a horrifically terrible relationship. nothing and no one can say anything that’s going to convince me of otherwise, and the fact that this series preaches itself to be a feminist series is genuinely insane. there’s nothing wrong with writing dark romance or having toxic relationships, but do not market your story as anything but that, especially when you’re audience isn’t for adults. there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having or liking dark romance, but it’s just piss poor writing to pretend that it’s anything but.

You hate Azriel but ship gwynriel? You're sure a weird species
I've never said hate, let's get this out of the way. Hate is a strong word and it definitely doesn't describe my feeling toward any character in these books.
You'd be surprised if I say this but yes, I don't like Azriel. And I have my reasons which this would be a long post if I say them so I won't :)
But also he's yet to get his character growth. We only got one pov from him and been in his head for one chapter. I wasn't interested in his character before reading the bonus chapter and after I read it, disinterest turned into dislike and his fans added to that dislike, so...
And I do ship Gwynriel because of their potential and I have to thank the many talented writers and artists in this fandom who opened my mind to them. Before that I only knew I didn't ship Elain and Az because I didn't like their dynamic and how Az thinks of Elain. (I have to say I didn't need to read BC to dislike them, I already felt nothing toward them when I finished the whole series. The BC only cemented my opinion toward them)
To answer the second part of you ask: I'm not the only one trust me. idk why you worded your question like that maybe because you thought it would hurt my feeling or something but really you're embarrassing yourself for calling people names for their opinion over fictional characters. I suggest you to get a life, go outside and touch some grass idk...

For the ask game…
22, 23, 26? 👀
Thanks anon!
22. Easiest character to write for?
Elain. She is the easiest for me to slip in her head and understand her motivations. Also it's natural for me to simp for Lucien through her lol.
23. Hardest character to write for?
Characters I've written POVs for: I think I'm still trying to figure out Eris. Like I think when I'm inside his head I feel a little more comfortable but it's more how Eris carries himself and what choices he makes outwardly. I second guess a lot.
Otherwise if you see me not writing much of someone (like Mor or Amren) it's because I'm like lol too hard don't want to think.
26. What's a character you won't write for and why?
Hmmmm I guess I don't want to say no one is off limits persay. There are certainly characters I have little interest in exploring in depth and their POVs. For example it's very unlikely you'll see me write an Azriel POV. He definitely exists and is involved in my fics. And fanfic writer Amanda is a little more sympathetic to him than fandom Amanda is. But I likely won't ever make him a focus of any fic I write.

I don’t wanna read TOD honestly I just wanna skip to KOA. Would you say TOD is really worth it?
Thanks for the ask lovely😊
Unfortunately, I haven’t actually read ToD yet, so I have no idea. I’m just now on Part 2 of EoS… and will probably be starting ToD after… or in tandem depending on my library.😂
I can say some of my lovely mutual tumblr buddies have talked me through series orders and the majority of them have said ToD needs to be read (however there are a few that have said they skipped it). — Hopefully some of them can hop on this post and comment for ya :-)
Wishing you the best of luck & hope you enjoy! Looking forward to chatting more as I catch up! And congrats on finishing EoS btw!! 😄🫶

Hi! I saw on your GoT post that you said you could try asking for specific dates. Can you try asking about when we'll get the next ACOTAR book announcement? And then maybe the release date?
The cards and I thank you for your question!
What month will the new book be announced: 10 of pentacles, queen of cups reversed
What day: queen of swords
What month will the book be released: 8 of pentacles
What day will the book be released: page of pentacles reversed
What else can the cards tell me about the new book announcement: 6 of swords sideways, king of cups, 7 of pentacles reversed
What else can the cards tell me about the new book release date: 9 of pentacles
Ok, 10 of pentacles could be the tenth month. So, October.
The queen of cups is associated with the element water. The dates for water signs are June 21–July 22, October 23–November 21, and February 19–March 20.
8 of pentacles could be the 8th month, August.
The page of pentacles is associated with the element earth. The earth sign dates are April 20–May 20, August 23–September 22, December 22–January 19.
6 of swords sideways: upright this card signals it's time for you to cut your losses and begin anew. This decision will not come easily, and you may feel regret, but once the journey is complete, you'll see that the result was worth the sacrifice. Focus on the new opportunities instead of the loss
Reversed, this card indicates that you are reluctant and unprepared to commit to change, and you may be holding on to past habits that stop you from fully moving on
King of cups: this card is a sign to take some quiet time and reflect on the emotions around a situation and examine what emotional triggers come up regularly and hold back progress
7 of pentacles reversed: this card signals that despite the hard work and energy you are putting into a project, the result may not be what you expected. This is a time to trust your intuition and cut your losses if you are not satisfied with the results you have been seeing
9 of pentacles: this card represents the near completion of a goal or objective that will be successful once completed. It may also signal a life of wealth and comfort, both emotionally and materially

Sarah didn't say anything about acotar except that she's working on it now, Is there really anything to missunderstand and claim some ship is canon?
Well, knowing the fandom........
Absolutely not, nothing was confirmed, and nothing was even said enough to speculate about. She shut down any mention of acotar before it even got going. It was pretty clear that she was there to talk about CC and only CC. Anyone who thinks that something was confirmed is going full tinfoil hat.
