the annoyance with blk y/n and the stories she’s in is hilarious. her characteristics might be the problem one day or her side characters the next. it legit feels like we may never get to a balanced solution on what to do with our own representation since the wrong ppl always talk about it and create it. we have mean and shallow ppl who take over the conversation, ppl who really self hate but try and cover it up with “i just don’t want her to be a stereotype” and then the ones who probably love and support tyler perry movies.
the bottom line is the ppl who do write those niggafying, toxic (it’s a buzzword but that’s what they are) or smutty fics (not talking abt the actual good ones with a blk reader though 🧎🏽‍♀️) can do wtv they want and owe you nothing. that’s why they get so frustrated. i don’t think all the times those should be crucified for what they write when other groups of ppl (or our own) write all kinds of other crazy shit.
and.. i know a lot of ppl who don’t want to say it but y’all keep bringing up the smut and niggafying as the main problem, but i think it’s some of the ppl writing it and their underlings. it’s just no one wants to say anything.
Tumblr media
an excerpt from a draft of mine
“a lot of ppl on here be weirdos or mean asl. so when someone block you don’t be like “oh what i did” “they that mad cause of my (internet—fictional—digital on screen) presence”
like nobody got time to go to your acc and say “i don’t like you” who cares. oddly some miserable ppl do actually but still. the lack of awareness is ridiculous. that’s why ppl don’t f with y’all.”
i was talking abt all of tumblr and every other app but it applies here.
from what i see on here, some are just straight up weird, cliquey, and chiesty (if that’s how you spell it) and that’s why ppl be so mad abt those types of books 💀. we also have to acknowledge the amount of overwhelming & honestly damaging blk yn fics (not to be confused with ppls screwed ideas of stereotypical) there are. i understand why ppl write them for personal reasons but when it comes to our own reflections of ourselves as blk women it’s almost hurtful to read some of the things people put “her” through. i mean even her with a white man that use aave and has cornrows is hurtful.. 😔 (i’m trolling now 💀) naw but fr. i personally don’t like reading blk women just being written for smut or going through crazy situations or kinda like.. i don’t wanna say unfulfilling but like.. idk i can’t think of the word. (edit: ppl write blk yn to be in unfulfilling situations) but girl i can watch a tyler perry movie for all that.
again. ppl write these stories for there own personal reasons, relate to them and enjoy them for those reasons as well. that’s why depending! on what it is i don’t think blk writers should be bombarded with hate like that. also ion think smut should be banned like y’all go to far can we just slow down on it … there are some nice ones out there i promise 🧎🏽‍♀️
but in all seriousness there are many other reasons why i feel toxic and smutty fics are popular for blk yn but i don’t think anyone cares to hear that and the conversion will prolly go back to nigga eren somehow which is crazy cause y’all be arguing over a fictional white man.
Tumblr media
oh! 😒 i almost forgot 😒 the ppl who are against “ghetto” y/n to try and advocate for more fluffy or like.. normal (healing) stories and from what i see the ppl who are the most up in arms about it in my personal opinion seem to dislike certain parts of blkness that i appreciate personally and so i just straight up disregard their opinions. y/n doesn’t have to “act” (😒) blk but i see ppl get mad about her protecting her hair.. with a bonnet….
Tumblr media
sigh, anyway but yeah we need more soft and sweet fics or just like calming ones? but someone gon have to write it! i don’t like this app or my writing all too much so i gave up a while ago.
Tumblr media
just like many other blk writers….
gaspp! we should also do like a fluff challenge or sumn where writers do like fluff … march? girl idk so maybe that will trend and all the ppl who spend time arguing and going back and forth with ppl who write stories they don’t like can like idk look for other writers who write soft, normal, fun stories and reblog them or make a list of them. or maybe like possibly write their own stories too????
Tumblr media
everyone says the smut fics gets the most likes and they do. that’s why you keep seeing them. so maybe support or refreakingblog the fics that are comforting to you so others can be as well.
i actually made this page to repost softer fics because i was tired of blocking certain tags so i can avoid heavy smut and subtly abuse fics. also pls leave the ppl who niggafy anime characters alone they will not be stopped. i mean we still have ppl who have been calling chris evans jamal since 2020.. calling him that to this date. married and all.
sigh… 2 more days until blk history month ends. maybe next year we can find a balance between “dramatic” and smutty fics and soft and slice of life ones for blk y/n next year. remember this is tumblr too and the ppl writing aren’t even getting paid for this but it’s for the ppl yk.
ppl who are respectful and reblog tho.

Next up for Cartoon Network era of shows, who is your favorite character from each of the mid-2000s CN City-era shows you've seen like: Megas XLR, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Life & Times of Juniper Lee, Camp Lazlo, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, Ben 10 2005, Squirrel Boy, and Class of 3000?
Okay since I didn't fuckup last time we can jump straight in
Megas XLR: Coop. He's a fun walking disaster and voice acted amazingly. As for the show itself.. it's pure gold to me. A classic. A fun, nonsensical mech show with a clever premise and beautiful animation. It could use a tweak or two if it was revivied, but I dig it.
Fosters Home for IMaginary Friends; Wilt. He's one of Phil Lamar's best rolls, has a great design and the good wilt hunting special fleshed him out heartbreakingly. As for the show itself it's pretty good: it does suffer from that issue the earlier cn shows had where sometimes it's a bit too mean spirited, but it's not nearly as frequent and the colorful character design, wonderful premise, and truly outstanding cast from Frankie, everyone who was into women's crush as a kid, to Herriman who I hated as a kid (and still do at times, he's a prick), but now respect as a more complicated genltemanly prick who simply need to ease up a bit, but you get WHY he's like this as he's running a pretty wacky boarding house and madam foster while kind isn't really doing the day to day stuff. A truly great cartoon.
Hi HI Puffy AmiYumi: I like yumi. As for the series itself..ehhh. Besides the obvious of "You shoudln't of had two american women, even really talented ones, play two japanese women', it's just kinda .. there? the music's good, the character design is great, but it's got no real substance. Maybe on a rewatch i'd be wrong, but it's just kinda eh.
Life and Times of Juniper Lee: Out of the regular cast, Dennis, who evolved from "just kinda being there" to "a fun addition to the main cast". Supporting it's Kai Yee, as most of June's rogue's gallery is weak (Aunti Roo and Loki accepted), but he was the shot in the arm the series needed and had the series stuck around I wouldn't be suprised if we saw him again. The show itself is solid though: Judd WInnick copied Buffy's notes well, while adding his own spin to things, and the tragic idea of June being stuck is heartbreaking but intresting. IT has a good mythology, a solid lead and it's only weakness was June's friends being locked out, which is something they WERE going to work on but got canclled. Not in the highest tier of the animated superhero shows at the time (Jake Long eats it's lunch), but still worthy of being part of them all the same.
Camp Lazlo: Hard choice as everyone is pretty great, but I have to go with Edward who started as just a generic bully but evolved into this petty dick who can't accept no one likes him for good reason that just stands out to me. I do mean it when I say I love pretty much everyone though. This show is a fond part of my childhood, one I wish was streaming on max and given hbo's current practices, will hopefully land on Tubi as it's underated. Admiteely I love a good summer camp story, and this series might be why, so i'm biased.. but my love for Joe Murray's other big work helps me see it was also just THAT good, a fun summer camp adventure. Ignore the finale I haven't seen and don't intend to, but enjoy everything else. This series is a treasure that's on rocko's level, at least from memory and deserves all the praise.
My Gym Partner's A Monkey: MONKEY MONKEY MONKEY. I like Ingrid for her having to lean down and crush on Adam and I like Principal Bulfrog for both being hilarous and being at the center of the only episode I really loved so let's call this a tie. Their both great. And as you can tell by that last part yeah.. I hate this one. It has a decent if stupid premise, but it leans way too heavily on kafka comedy: adam tends to get buffeted around for no reason, jake is an asshole, and most of the cast follows suit. Even Bullfrog is a dick, he's just at least you know.. funny. The episode with the robot teachers is the one I like.. because it's just wacky nonsense and ends with a wizard for some reason. The show had chaotic energy but squandred it on making adam miserable when he'd done nothing wrong.
Ben 10: Vilgax. Max was close, he's a great mentor.. but Vilgax is such a memorable villian despite only showing up as an ominous guy in a tube for most of season one and only in his full glory four times, one of which I haven't seen. But Steve Blum leaves an impression for him, this unstoppable MONSTER who easily tears through Bens creatures. Ghostfreak is also close, but Vilgax has more personalitY: While his goals are simple, to conquer you get a sense of arrogance and superiority he ENTIRELY backs up. The series made their own thanos or darkseid and it was glorious. He suffers a bit in the sequels as the mouth thing was a BAD design choice, but man is he great. As for the series itself.. also great. Really need to rewatch it at some point, but it's a solid superhero show and sets itself apart from the other kid sueprhero works of the time.. by having it be a child instead of a teen, with all the impulsivness, over the top names and enthusasim that entails. Ben's a brat, but he's not a bad kid and his childish impulsivness lets the series go more places. The concept of taking dial h for hero and applying truly awesome alien designs to it is fucking brilliant and improves on the original idea amazingly. Add in tons of lore, great villians 3/4 seasons, and you can see why Cartoon Network milked this series as long as it did and why it'll probably return some day after some cooling off.
Squirrel Boy: Kurtwood Smith dad only for virtue of being voiced by Kurtwood Smith. I almost picked no one. This show wasn't good, it was boring and I don't like it. A waste of everyone involved and not one I really care to revisit. It's probably not bad as my memory but lord it isn't good.
Class of 3000: SING, NA NA NA NA NA. Principal Luna both for being consitantly funny and his awesome music number. And I only didn't see season 2 because I wasn't aware it happened till it was too late. I need to rewatch this one. A true cult classic that deserved better: Andre 3000 was clearly all in and game for whatever, the series itself had a great cast, and the musical numbers are all bangers all the time.
So that ends this one. Next I see a LOT more superhero shows coming, robots in disguise and more. I actually love doing this as it givces me a chance to talk about great shows I simply haven't yet.

I find it weird how so many in the GG fandom love Nate but hate Chuck. I'm not a fan of either, but I don't find any of the main characters likable enough, though they're entertaining but I don't understand their logic. Nate made numerous comments that were questionable throughout the show and enabled and defended Chuck's mistakes and in season 6 he dates and sleeps with a teen as a grown man with a business. If he looked unattractive I'm sure people would criticize him more for it but he's charming enough for them to hypocritically sweep it under a rug. Nate told the police they couldn't talk to Sage because she's a minor and also complained on a date with her about it being too high school for him. He also made a weird comment trying to convince someone to go to a party because there would be grown women dressed like schoolgirls there among other comments. Chuck isn't better than him and Nate is more likable most of the show, but while Chuck's misdeeds weren't handled realistically enough it was acknowledged to some extent while Nate's was swept under a rug in the show. Nate sleeping with a minor was treated like a rich people thing since when he told his grandpa a grown woman was sleeping with him as a teen his grandpa talked of it as normal while Rufus who wasn't rich had a critical reaction to an adult sleeping with Dan as a teen. Miss Carr wasn't rich enough to walk away without backlash, so fans reinforcing the lack of backlash Nate got in the show and hypocritically being woke in Chuck's case to harass real people over a serious issue for stan wars sickens me. I don't even ship Chair and I find it disturbing and disrespectful to people who deal with shit in real life. It feel like they don't really care about the issue they're preaching about. Also most will go on about Blair being mistreated because of ship wars and stan Blair but will much lesser acknowledge the way she treated victims of abuse and slut shamed women as if they are less important because they aren't favorites. Her publicly outing Dan as Miss Carr's victim for her personal agenda was wrong and her doing things like making Eva out to be a prostitute less worthy of respect was distasteful. People judge others for enjoying Chuck's character and while Blair is more likable she was messed up and not someone most would get along with in real life. While I ship Dair I find it hypocritical how some Dair fans will unprovoked be self righteous about shipping them and say shit like they're less retarded than Chair fans while liking Blair who was messy and would likely not support abuse victims if it got in the way of her personal goals and would actively bully them instead. I confronted someone over this and they got offended over me calling them self righteous even though they were offensive first, accusing me of not really shipping them. I hate how people have to act like their side of the fandom is perfect and judge others for what they like in fiction.
hi!! so truthfully after yesterday I wasn't entirely sure where this ask was going but I think I get ur point. obviously I just wanna reiterate that I'm a chair shipper but I agree that a lot of nate's behaviour is overlooked bc he's attractive. like u said there are extremely vocal chuck haters who love nate as if he hasn't done plenty of problematic things too. I think that to a certain degree some fans have a selective memory and are quick to list bad things 1 character has done but conveniently ignore or excuse another character for worse or equally bad behaviour. ultimately for me gossip girl is a show about "bad" people so the idea that they all have to be made to be likeable goes against their character, none of them are meant to be especially good or nice and there's nothing wrong with that. obviously it really depends on the individual, but I think this idea that dair is morally superior to chair is kinda ridiculous bc at the end of the day it's a 00s teen drama where all the characters are varying levels of "bad" and like u said it's hypocritical too

who The Fuck is manhunter
god this is such a good question. who the fuck IS manhunter. well okay so let me pose a counter-question. what if women sucked and were not fun to hang out with. do we still support their wrongs?
no okay (visibly trying not to laugh) heres the girlcrush of the day. she's got what ive jokingly called "bull-in-a-china-shop lifestyle". her name is kate she's a famous federal prosecutor who specializes in prosecuting supervillains. and brother she loves pushing for the death penalty. one day when she was pushing so so hard for the death penalty, the jury did not go for it. and she got so so so mad that she decided to go find and kill the guy herself
and she liked it.
so she blackmails some guy in the witness protection program into being her gadget guy & from then on she's the vigilante "manhunter" (yay!) who kills bad guys she thinks deserve it. when she's out there she's basically operating on a completely circular logic that goes like "well if i can't kill this villain here, i'll simply get him the death penalty in court (which i'm very good at), and if that falls through, i'll just go back to Plan A (killing him with my own hands)" and it's like girl i think you just kind of Like Killing. good luck with that
Tumblr media
it's like what if batman not only loved killing and jumped directly to it every time, but was also working With & Inside the system at the same time to ensure there is no other way for things to end. that's a weird thing to do, right? girl? this is weird?...
& like MAYBE in 2004 america this setup was written to appeal to a certain type of reader who'd go "yeah girl the System never gives the bad guys what they Deserve lets fucking go #justice" . i couldn't really tell you to be honest (and her murder mettle is proven entirely in scenarios that are like "well maybe she's morally in the clear here because the guy in question is a cartoon snake-man who eats people") (to me personally, on its face, this all reads like the origin story for a supervillain lawyer named Death Row or something. but that's just another part of her womanly charm in my eyes.) what i CAN tell you is that deciding to become a coldblooded premeditated killer in her spare time is Really cutting into both her professional and private life and now her ex-husband is suing for full custody of their son
oh yeah. she has a son and she is like a deadbeat mother she never shows up on time she forgets to pick him up and he hates going to her house when it's her weekend she is NOT doing a good job on this one. figuring out how to actually mom this kid is also kind of a thing for her and she DOES figure it out but i have to tell you. her Divorced Milf Who Totally Sucks appeal. VERY High
man. yeah she's always getting her shit pushed in during fights because She Is Just A Lawyer but she just like Walks it off (girl...). she's addicted to nicotine in a major way. she's cold and cranky and would not be fun to hang out with. she's terrible at banter. she actually sucks to the point it makes me feel Bad for her ex-husband who has to keep hounding her like "don't forget to pick up our SON" it's kind of a feat to be honest. she just sort of is charging blindly into things and wrecking her life because she has a chip on her shoulder and Maybe Enjoys Killing but at least she's also got a certain failgirl swag about it
Tumblr media
there is a major theme of like, legacy, but crucially (and most interestingly, imo) most of the time kate is completely ignorant of said legacies existing around her while she's stomping through the porcelain with her hooves until they rear up to bite her directly in the ass, which i enjoy very much. she is very much focused on her own thing and consumed by her own motivations and does not really give a shit about these things and it's a major issue every time. even "manhunter" itself is a name that's been used by multiple dc characters (sometimes simultaneously) (including a whole cult), which suddenly becomes a problem for her when someone starts murdering all the other manhunters until she's the only one left standing. uh oh! i was just doing my own thing and thought the name sounded cool! noooo!
there's also the very pointed matter of her gear which is all "borrowed" from just like. the lockup. (girl...) so she's wearing someone else's suit and someone else's gauntlets and using someone else's weapon (actually one of the previous manhunters! there's that manhunter lineage again!) and while the audience is treated to a whole issue elaborating on the backstories of these things, kate herself is completely unaware and uninterested in the significance and legacy of these hand-me-downs because she picked them out at complete random to go do premeditated killing. it's really underscored in an interesting way how much she just is kind of bulldozing straight through everything--whether it's her own life or her proverbial predecessors--towards her own ends
the whole lineage and legacy thing is something of a Theme i guess. especially when it turns out her own biological father is an absolute sicko with a murder charge and he's on his way right now to bulldoze her life for his own ends. that's funny. maybe she's got that serial killer gene from riverdale,
jokes aside i would give her a 10/10 failwife cringemilf rating, with ample extra points awarded for being divorced, for the broken ribs, and for how much i would hate hanging out with her if she were real. this is a certified manhunter post. i hope you enjoyed it.
Tumblr media
(reading manhunter 2004 and shaking my head sternly the whole time but also smiling. so people know i don't support the death penalty but i Do support women's wrongs)

Alright so it’s been a hot minute since i’ve been here, life truly gets in the way and i feel that i’m going through the motions but finally after the buzz has settled i wanted to reflect a bit on Station 19 season 6.
I think we’re standing at a different place than we were by the end of season 5 and i believe that’s great. We went from that insanity -not in a good way- of season to something much much better. Few changes were made and it showed from the very beginning of season 6. To put it simply it was raw, by far the rawest season in terms of storyline, obviously because of what Maya went through, the repercutions it had on Carina and so on… Mental health was the overall arc for season 6 and honestly? I loved how it played out… Fair to say a LOT of people saw themselves in Carina and Maya which sparked the conversation -the very much needed conversation-
It was a rollercoaster but i’m glad we went through those moments because it lead to a healthier outcome instead of a quick fix it showed a more realistic side of a journey that can’t be taken lightly. On the other hand i wished they would’ve handled the Beckett story a bit better, by the end of it the writers made a good job by Vic checking up on him and just sparkling that conversation. I enjoyed the brief love triangle between Andy/Eli/Travis, it would have been funnier that they explored that angle deeper but i guess it turned out alright.
The expectations were so high when a female chief was announced but it turns out that it was just another love interest for a man, love to see it (please notice the sarcasm). While i don’t mind that Ross had history with Sullivan i kinda hated how her character just became the woman simping for the guy. They tried to redeem her a bit but it wasn’t enough. I would have LOVED that she actually made some changes within SFD to support women and actually make things better. Remember the storyline about fighting sexism? Yeah, me too. Anyways it was terrible that she was shamed for having a consensual relationship with another adult but it makes me grit my teeth the double standards: the whole you’re heroic for basically organizing a mutiny but when someone breaks protocol for saving a life that’s wrong or having a relationship with someone who outranks you but we’re totally ignoring that too, i get it, it’s for the sake of drama but certain things needs to make sense.
All that leads me to Andy being captain, we all saw it coming, there’s no way Maya was going to be captain again -at least not while being on 19- and while it should have been handled a bit better (the woman does have ambitions and putting a pause to pursue her dreams to heal does not mean she needs to abandon it) i think Andy deserved something a bit better, not just: alright you’re captain now. At least her first “shift” as captain was packed with action but still…
And that also brings me to Theo: at first he was like alright, laid back dude, gets the job done but the second he got promoted it’s like it flipped a switch on him especially being such an ass to Vic for absolutely no reason like ??? But at least she left him, i really liked how she pointed out that being happy for her friend does not mean she’s not supporting him (i wonder if that friendship also extends to Maya, after yk, call her a nasty person and do absolutely nothing to stand for her. Yes i will always be bitter about how everyone turned their backs on Maya).
Jack can’t seem to catch a break and God knows what’s gonna happen to him but at least he’s healthier and trying to stay out of other people’s relationships which i’m glad. I loved how Ben and Miranda where kinda there for Maya and Carina (i say kinda because it’s not like Maya had the greatest support out there but Ben did listen so that’s something. Also shout out to Diane, she’s incredible and i love whenever she appears)
Finally -because this is way too long lol- we know where we are standing in terms of Maya and Carina growing their family, for a solid minute i thought well, they are being ambiguous because it’s probably leading to that but no, it wasn’t. I wasn’t mad that they didn’t make Carina pregnant by the end of the season, if anything the scenes where they are discussing how many kids and stuff makes it so much more meaningful because Maya is obviously in such a better head space. Oh and just as a quick comment: Carina should have gone to therapy too, she needed to heal from that rocky period of time and it would have been cool to see her perspective, even if we saw sneak peaks with Vic, Miranda and Diane i believe sitting down and leading to a backstory would have been so much better.
If you got to this point i love you, i wanted to ramble a bit and finally found the moment to sit down and put this together (it’s a bit all over the place, just like my brain but bare with me). Catch you on season 7🤍

You ever start to watch something that is advertised and praised as being “historically accurate”, even is so in many parts, but then one thing is just so insanely wrong that you sit there blank faced thinking WTH?
Well, I started watching Rome (because I’m a sucker for history and because Bruno Heller worked on it) and seven episodes in I’m mostly enjoying it, a lot of things are great, the actors, characters, sets, costumes, historic context,… but then I go check out on Wikipedia what is known about Octavian’s mother Atia- a character thats delightful to hate so far- and guess my shock when discovering she was the absolute opposite of what is presented in the show.
Freaking why? Why change a historic character to be the complete opposite of how it was? Next you gonna tell me Mussolini had nothing to do with the Fascist movement and wanted actually to be a classical painter in Verona. Yes, this may be an extreme example, but if HBO is allowed the spread bs why shouldn’t I be too?
Wanna know what the official reasoning was? They wanted to “draw significant influences from other Roman women from the same time period, such as the infamous Clodia, and Marc Antony’s wife, Fulvia.”
Came me crazy, but why not just feature Fulvia then? She was alive and married to Marc Antony at the time the show takes place, why not have her involved? Watching the show you really wonder how Octavian and his sister achieved such noble greatness with a mother like that and then you read some facts and realise that the actual Atia would have brought up such great characters.
Here’s what they should have done:
Instead of having Servilia of the Junii (mother of the famous Brutus) as a recurring character, have Fulvia take that role more prominently and switch her “villainous” role with Atia, who now would become the quiet, well educated & mannered woman she was. Fulvia, as wife of Marc Antony, would often spend her days in Atia´s house- given that Atia is a niece of Caesar and the whole family is in favour of him. Caesar and Marc Antony may be best-buddies right now, but given that Antony is not always the brightest and the fact that Atia is also in good favour with supporters of the Republic makes it important for Fulvia to be on good terms with her. Fulvia would then be the one who would comment that Octavian reads too much and is getting too much of an “feminine aura” because of it, she would volunteer to hire Titus as a tutor for Octavian to teach what makes a “real man”. Because she would play her cards as much as she could she would try to catch Caesar’s eye on the party Atia was throwing in his hour, only to be ignored for Servillia (with whom we would see him spend the night with) and angered about that it would be Fulvia who would give in work those tasteless graffiti, wishing to cut away all outside influents from the most powerful man in Rome. In this case it would also have been Fulvia´s personal slave who would have witnessed Caesar’s seasure and seeing Octavian and Caesar “together” brought those news right back to her mistress who immediately would have tried to use that to her advantage only to be disappointed that it wasn’t like that, but suddenly inspired that- if she can’t seduce Caesar- she’ll seduce young Octavian- Caesar’s favourite & adopted son.
Meanwhile we would have still seen Marc Antony enjoy his time with other women, yet always come back to his wife because she was so cunning and ambitious- it would have played perfectly into the fact that he later fell in love with Cleopatra, for while Fulvia knew how to play the game Cleopatra knew it better.
Fulvia would also have been the one to pursue Atia to make Octavia divorce her husband because with the politic situation it wouldn’t have been “good for the family” to be associated with him- and to that extend for her.
See? We could have gotten an ambitious, cunning, strong female character and still have it historically accurate!

A PSA regarding women writers and directors
(tw: mentions of internal misogony, domestic abuse, cheating, and suicide)
I hear all this stuff on Tiktok and on Instagram. All about the phrase "Written by a woman" in regard to men and cis-hetero relationships. Praising women for creating "soft" male love interests that check all the boxes. And for their treatment of female characters. Like the "Female Rage" trend where instead of an angry woman yelling and losing their cool, we only have a woman glaring directly into the camera. They list all these books and films written and directed by women noting this. Now, let's be clear- I am 100 percent for supporting female-created and controlled works
But
Can we stop pretending women writers and directors are perfect? That there aren't women who are internally misogynistic and problematic in various ways (Do I even need to mention Rowling. I mean, she's a woman after all too!)? And that for those women who are artists, that said internal misogyny doesn't show up in their works? And that they don't romanticize things that are really messed up, wrong, or even dangerous?
Take Colleen Hoover for example. She's huge on Tiktok and you will see her books promoted everywhere. You would think if you picked up one of her books that it would involve all the Romance Written By A Woman Goodness.
BUT
So many of her books romanticize abuse, toxic relationships, and cheating with her female protagonists easily forgiving the male love interests (ex. Verity and All Your Perfects) or excusing and not taking accountability for their actions (for ex. hitting on a guy when they 100% know he has a girlfriend, calling other women "sluts" which the heroine of Maybe Someday does).
Or in Erin Morgenstern's The Night Circus where it is implied that Isobel is a bad person for being upset about her boyfriend cheating on her for the female lead and being dumped for the Side Chick?
Or take Kiera Cass's The Selection. In the first book of the series, we have a female protagonist who looks down on other women for wearing super show-offy dresses that promote their cleavage in a beauty competition (Yup! We also get slut-shaming!) While said modest, plain dressing (she dresses plain because she is "not beautiful" and "not like other girls!") heroine gets praised and called beautiful and ultimately lands the prince for this.
And I cannot tell you how many times in historical fiction and even sometimes in fantasy written by women I read a protagonist who "wasn't like other girls" who shat on women for wearing corsets, being "ladies", liking sewing and dresses, actually wanting romance, etc. And the female characters who DO that stuff sometimes even get punished and criticized for it! (ex, Enola Holmes, A Court of Thorns and Roses, A Great And Terrible Beauty, and my favorite punching bag, The Essex Serpent. Shout out to the tv adaptation to have the Proper Lady Stella's one act of agency after being cheated on and getting terminally sick...is to KILL HERSELF) Like it was a bad thing for women of that time or even women today to enjoy traditionally feminine things or to want romance. (I could also get into historic accuracy, but that's a different can of worms. Watch Karolina Zebrowska's videos for more in-depth explanations like "How men taught us to hate corsets" and "busting historic myths on women").
(There is also the whole element of other factors like racism, ageism, transphobia, and homophobia, that we could get into, but let's not make this post long)
Just because it is written or directed by a woman doesn't make it default good and perfect. Women are people. So women can be flawed and make mistakes. And women can create stories that hold up patriarchal ideas and notions and that shows up in their writing. Women can romanticize shitty men. Women can tear down other women for doing something harmless.
Listen, if you enjoy these stories that don't make you a bad, problematic person. You can definitely read them, but keep an eye out and question things. Women can create problematic elements in their stories just as much as men do and we need to watch out for them and deconstruct and question these when we see them.
Ok, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

*Takes a deep breath*
Oh boy, this is gonna big one.
I love-scratch that-adore Cassandra Cain. Ever since I discovered her solo series and her fantastic debut in the “No Man’s Land” storyline (Thank you, Linkara!) I have just fallen in love with her. Her unbreakable moral compass, compassion, dry sense of humour and reckless bravery has endeared me to her so much.  And yes, I do enjoy James Tynion’s controversial reimaging of her as “Orphan” along with Scott Snyder, Bryan Hill and Joshua Williamson’s take on her. Heck, I’m really digging the fun new “Batgirls” series by Becky Cloonan and Micheal Conrad. Of course, they have imperfections-such not getting Cass’s character 100%  right at times-but overall, they are enjoyable, memorable experiences.
So yes, I love Cass...
...but I hate her toxic fandom.
Now before anyone gets kittens over this, let me explain myself: There are plenty of amazing Cass fans who form a positive, welcoming fanbase-be it all of the talented fan-artists, fan-writers, etc.- and they are among the most creative, friendliest people I’ve ever met. However, I’m speaking about another Cass fanbase, one which happens to be the most pettiest, vindictive and unpleasable fanbase I have ever witnessed, to the point that they almost make H.E.A.T (Hal’s Emerald Action Team) look like saints!
How? Why?
It’s quite simple, it begins with “Robin: One Year Later” after “Infinite Crisis”. In this story, Cassandra is suddenly turned into an over-the-top villain who makes grandiose monologues, kills without mercy and leads The League Of Assassins. Plus, she speaks fluent Navajo. (No, I’m not making that up.)  This storyline broke those fans, so much that they now see the character of Cass as “Ruined forever.” Even worse, whenever new Cass storyline comes out-be it Tynion’s “Batman/Detective comics” or the new “Batgirls” ongoing-they will hold it impossible, unreachable standards and declare it “Irredeemable garbage” that “destroys her even more”, regardless of the stories’ qualities.
Despite one or two exceptions, they are NEVER, EVER pleased.
You know what’s really annoying is the constant accusations of the writers “ruining her”, “infantilizing her”, “ or “having her job.” ect.
Firstly, while Cass does loose a few fights here and there, what matters is that she gets back up again and never gives up whether it’s as lead or supporting character. So as far as I can tell, she isn’t “jobbing” for anyone.  “But the writers hate her and want to destroy her so they have her job-” No, Cass losing a few fights doesn’t mean the writers hate her nor do they want to destroy her. She’s still presented as a vital member of the BatFam through her resilence and determination. As for “jobbing”, Inigo Montoya, speak my feelings:
Tumblr media
Also, remember, Cass lost plenty of times in her solo series yet none of these fans accused her creators or other writers of “having her job” or “ruining her.” Hypocritical double standards much?
And no, just because Cass isn’t the centre character in “Batman” books or made the leader of the Batgirls doesn’t mean she’s being “turned into a submissive doormat”. When she is portrayed as being a bit more savy, snarky and light-hearted-as in the case of “Batgirls” or “Urban Legends, she is in no way being “infantilized for the sake of white women” but being shown to have a more playful side to her personality as a unique individual.
Tynion doesn’t hate Cass, Snyder doesn’t hate Cass, Hill doesn’t hate Cass, Williamson doesn’t hate Cass. Cloonan and Conrad do not hate Cass. If they hate the character so much then why are they using her in their stories then? As an important member of the BatFam even?
Another thing I really cannot stand is when these toxic fans mis-blame writers like Tynion for any misgivings they had for his work on “Batman” such as turning Cass into “Orphan”, thinking DC let him do whatever he wanted with complete freedom. I’m sorry but this is wrong. I’m going to go on limb here and guess here but from the writing and his respect for the character, Tynion wanted to make Cass Batgirl again but editorial at the time wouldn’t allow him, so he was forced to reimagine her as a completely new character with a brand new origin story. Yes, this is a different Cass but what matters is that the spirit of pre-Flashpoint Cass still lives through her.
And there is the whole “Tournament arc” ballyhoo started by certain site users who I will not name. I just want to get it out that Williamson didn’t “steal Cass’s tournament arc”, he didn’t “spit in the face of her fans”, but most of all-yes, this is a real claim- he doesn’t “support Eugenics!” These are just flat-out lies spread out by these users, salty over Cass not being put in the centre of the universe.
Then there is the whole idiotic controversy over Greg Weisman changing Cass’s origin story for “Young Justice: Outsiders” where it is Lady Shiva who trains her from birth to be a killer, takes her voice away by cutting out her vocal cords. Even more, it is Cass who was (accidently) responsible for Barbara's crippling. So while Weisman made a few changes to Cass and her origin story, no, he didn’t set out to “demonize Asian women” nor did he try to “hurt Cass”. Like any other creator, he wanted to bring a new twist to familiar character in order to tell a compelling story. Whether it worked is completely up to the viewer.  I can’t believe I must stress this enough but Weisman is not a “bigoted hack.” Tynion is not a “bigoted hack.” Snyder is not a “bigoted hack.” Hill is not a “bigoted hack.” Williamson is not a “bigoted hack.” Cloonan and Conrad are not “bigoted hacks.” They are normal people like you and me, who slip up and make mistakes. Sure they don’t always create successful works but they try their best and never set out to upset or hurt anyone.
Look, we have come a long, long way since “Robin: One Year Later”, sure the road had been bumpy, haphazard even, but Cass is now in a better place. She has gotten good stories, is in a family that loves and cares for her and, most of all, is Batgirl again. How cool is that? Yet these toxic fans can never pleased! It’s always the same-old “Jobbing” here, “Infantilizing” there, “Ruined forever” everywhere! no matter how hard DC Comics creators try to please them, it’s always “Not good enough”, followed by personal attacks on the creators themselves to flat-out DEATH THREATS. All because of one bad storyline that happened years ago! They can never move on, never be happy with anything. This hateful entitlement has just grown into negativity for negativity's sake. Don’t they realize this ends up sending a message to DC Comics? And that message is:  “Bringing Cass back was a mistake if her fans will never be pleased.”
To quote “King Of The Hill's” Peggy Hill:
“They don’t know what they want...only what they DON’T want.”
I’m sorry. I love Cass and I will continue to love her but this is just so negative and depressing. I can’t take it anymore. I want nothing to do with these angry, entitled, “no-fun-allowed” jerks anymore.
  I’m done.

Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2
Wow this season was messy. There was a lot of stuff I didn’t like. And some stuff I did
I supported Leighton throughout this entire season. She had a lot of character growth. And is really trying to figure out who she is as a person and I support that. I loved her parents reactions to her coming out and after. Her dad was so supportive and their talk at the restaurant was really sweet. It’s been said since the beginning that a main reason for her wanting to get into Kappa was because of her mom. So I think she needed that approval from her mom to be able to actually leave it. I thought her and Tatum were cute but I think for Leighton to become who she wants to be they couldn’t stay together. Cause once you get to know Tatum you realize how great she is, but you also forget how she is towards people. Which is how Leighton was at the beginning of the show. I’m so glad Alicia is back! I missed her and the rest of the Women’s Center. And that Elton John costume was hot.
I hated Whitney and Andrew. I didn’t get it at all. Whitney’s taste in men is just terrible. Canaan is the exception but she fucked that one up. While I did not support her decisions in the love department, I did enjoy her academic pursuits. I’m glad she found something she’s passionate about. And that fact that she proving people wrong in the process is great
I had nothing against Jackson and Kimberly but I’m glad they broke up. He really had no characteristics besides being hot and the relationship felt superficial. I do actually like Canaan and Kimberly. This is the first guy I think actually kind of makes sense for her. Or at least the first one who actually understands her. Plus I knew something was going to happen since he kept getting distracted by her stuff while hooking up with Whitney.
Bela was just a mess this season. But I feel like this needed to happen for her to learn that there are consequences for her actions. I am heartbroken about Eric though. They weren’t even together for more than 1 episode. I hate when shows do this. I doubt she’ll end up actually transferring because it wouldn’t make sense for the show, but I get why she would.
As always Lila has my heart and deserves all the happiness in the world.

Personally I’ve always liked the morally grey/evil characters so long as something was compelling about them (i.e. the lannisters, severus snape, anakin skywalker etc) so when HOTD was announced I was hyped. Because who’s more morally grey than the members of an incestuous family. That being said I was thoroughly underwhelmed watching HOTD. Don’t get me wrong I still enjoyed it and will continue watching it (there are certain character arcs and events I want to see played out) but when remembering it’s an adaptation 🥴 all of the relationships have been reduced or made into something thy weren’t. Characterization has been either inconsistent or nonexistent.
And to make matters worse the fandom is split between Team Black vs Team Green and if you post something criticizing someone from Team Black you’re accused of supporting a r@pist (as someone who knows people who have been r@ped and or s@xually assaulted that is a disgusting thing to say especially when the post isn’t even about Aegon) even if you explicitly state you don’t support Aegon. Also if you don’t ship abuse (non consensual chocking during a relationship is domestic violence which is abuse) somehow you hate all women and support the patriarchy (I have seen several members of this fandom claim just that).
In conclusion I hate it here (lol) 🫠😊🤷🏾‍♀️
This adaptation is really just doing the bare minimum. It’s mediocre at best and an absolute letdown when you compare it to the early seasons of GOT(which is why they’ve been barely nominated/won any awards). They’ve got to stop there because, at a certain point, they won't be able to continue riding off the coattails of a show that ended almost half a decade ago.
This fandom is another clown to this circus 🎪Lol half of them(let’s be real, it’s the cult of Missy Anne. They are the worst part of this fandom at least Team Green tries to hear you out these people just start screaming misogyny while calling every woman they don’t like a c*nt, a wh*re, dirty, or racial slurs🙃) don’t have a leg to stand on yet they really get on you if you don’t worship the ground their Valaryan self-insert queen walks on and lie and say that Daemon lived, ate, and shat for her until his dying breath🫠(Don’t bring up Nettles or they’ll really start raging🤣).

i finished songbirds and snakes and i can honestly say that i really enjoyed it except for like one major thing that bothered me through the entire thing.. so spoilers under the cut.
i understand that as a character.. lucy gray is a driving force for snow’s emotional changes away and eventually right back to the capitol but for the sake of this argument.. i’m going to ignore her as a narrative device (which she undoubtedly is) and look at her as a character overall and how she fits into the archetype of women in books, mainly the “manic pixie dream girl”.
i liked her but i also found the way she was written... deeply irritating. she’s essentially boiled down to a girl who loves music and freedom but who also falls deeply in love with one of the people responsible for her suffering in the games. she continuously ignores snow’s wrong-doings, makes passes and excuses for his (on occasion) cruel behavior, and then is glad when he shows up in district 12 to be with her? sure, he fed her bread through the zoo bars (while she was on display like an animal, mind you), but he also treated her as a spectacle and paraded her around without any real belief that she would win until she has to ask him outright.
i mean.. she had to ask him to be seen as someone capable of surviving and not just an animal to be paraded around. she had to ask that of him. and then still.. after he parades her around, feeds her through bars like he’s at a petting zoo, and repeatedly demonstrates that he thinks of her as nothing more than something that “belongs” to him.... she decides that she loves him? that she wants to be with him forever? that she wants to abandon her life with him?
and then at the end.. it is the fact that he betrayed sejanus that deters her from loving him (if that).. and not the fact that he is and always has been in favor of the oppression and punishment of the districts?? even if it was barbaric??? it makes absolutely no sense to me. she’s a woman who has been written into this story for the sole purpose of loving someone and being a “free bird” and being “strange” to snow.... like.. that’s her whole thing. she represents freedom, but all of that is lost on the way that she completely ignores how her humanity is disregarded in favor of falling in love with this man to serve as what??? a lesson to him??? i hated it.
now, i’m also aware that lucy gray is meant to be a compassionate force on snow. like her narrative purpose is to be the “what if” to his “what is”.. but that doesn’t really change the fact that she (a lot of the time) comes across as nothing more than a silly girl who likes to sing and be free, but can’t because of what the capitol and the people snow supports does to her. but then she LOVES HIM ANYWAY??? im sorry... i hate it when women are put into positions like that... like they’re too emotional to know what’s good for them. or like they become absolutely unable to defend, vouch, or think for themselves because a man is in the equation.
i also understand that because the narrator is snow.. it makes him unreliable. he’s an unreliable narrator and we only see lucy gray through his idealized view, one that includes her as something he “owns” rather than her own person. it makes the betrayal at the end feel all the more sudden, because snow may not have been noticing the things that hinted to her feeling that way... (and i could probably talk about this aspect of lucy gray for a while bc from this lens its more palpable to me) still though.. if that’s the goal, it doesn’t come across that way.
as i read the first two parts, i understood lucy gray’s flirting and return of snow’s affection as a survival tactic. ie; she pretends to love him so that he does a better job of ensuring her survival in the games. bc that is what made sense to me reading her as her own independent person. that would also absolutely fit with how katniss interacts with peeta in the first games (though the situation is different because snow and lucy gray are perpetrator and victim, while katniss and peeta are both victims). so i was absolutely SHOCKED to find that when snow appeared in district 12, lucy gray was glad to see him. it genuinely surprised me (in not a great way) to see that she was not only actually in love with him, but glad to have her time in the arena and her zoo keeper (bc that’s essentially what he was) follow her back to her home and her covey.
when it became clear that she DID value snow, she went from being a character who might have her own motives for things, to someone with very little actual motivation. she’s a girl motivated entirely by music and love... how dreamy :/ im going to be sick. i guess i was just off put because it seemed like she had no goal of her own outside of survival and snow, which are inexplicably intertwined even through “the peacekeeper”. this could be attributed to the book being told from snow’s point of view... or it could be attributed to writing a manic pixie dream girl into the series. compared to katniss and the other victors in the original series.. she falls so flat that it’s almost disappointing.
maybe tho... my problem isn’t really with any of that but just that i HAATEEE the whole “peace and love and music” and “can’t fight violence with violence” and “if we just loved it would be better” way of thinking in the face of that type of SEVERE oppression.
idk i just.. i have a lot of thoughts about it that im kinda conflicted with. i enjoyed it though and would def recommend it to anyone who like the original series.

yesterday i was in a lengthy vc, just the usual stuff, and i had Many Thoughts as to why i don't really like alicia / alethea (live a live) (spoilers below cut) (also massive textpost under the cut. by the gods i should be in bed sleeping, it's 3 am as i write this, i'll be cursing myself in the morning at this rate.)
i think the main reason behind my dislike is the lack of agency she has. i know that's not exactly her fault, especially given the setting, but that doesn't make me less pissed when her only act of agency that's 100% guaranteed to happen (the trial of heart is optional content) ends up leading to the demise of an entire kingdom, and puts all of time and space in danger.
"oh, but she didn't know it would happen!" is a correct statement, albeit it takes away even more agency from the little she had in the first place. this is probably just me, but i get a lot more attatched to characters that have agency. i find it nearly impossible to like a character that's just being dragged around by the plot. at best, i'll be indifferent to them, maybe wondering "why do people like this character?" and at worst, i'll be wondering "how does anyone tolerate this fucker, in universe or not???" it's why i tend to dislike the "tagalong kid" trope. because all they seem to do is scream, cry, generally make things worse, cause conflict, and make me wonder why they're being brought along in the first place.
if all a character does is cause problems on accident, i find it incredibly easy to hate them. funny, then, how i like characters that cause problems on purpose... now i wonder how i'd see alicia / alethea as a character if she was outright confirmed to actively wanting to fuck over the entire kingdom, or even just oersted through her actions after straybow's death. straybow, for one, wanted to ruin oersted's life by pullin' that shit. he just ruined more than he expected. alicia just wanted to join straybow in the afterlife.
i mean, she's regretful about it regardless, and she tries making up for it by letting the heroes out of the trial of heart while basically goin "hey. fix this" (it's not even 100% confirmed that she opened the portal herself, too, considering that the exit portal in every trial minus the trial of time opens when you grab the ultimate weapon in it. for all we know, it's a coincidence that the portal opened. hell, it coulda been odio opening that portal, or what little of oersted's left in there.)
i'm not saying i automatically dislike characters without agency, mind you. i can enjoy the damsel in distress trope if the damsel doesn't make things worse, accident or not. princess peach in the first two paper mario games? she's doing something there. in fact, she's helping her rescuers out by spying on her captors. so give the girls some agency. i support women's rights, and women's wrongs. let the girls do crimes.
i look at alicia and i think "damn, no amount of fanon's gonna change my perception here, huh." because to me, alicia is defined by her lack of agency. if a fic gives her agency, she's not gonna seem like alicia anymore. which... sucks, honestly. i wish i could see alternate universes as their own thing, instead of a different version of canon.
(tl;dr) it's the lack of agency. + the crimes may be fictional but my annoyance is very real

this is why Kate fans don’t like you, reblogging posts like “Kate ruined edwinas life” (no she didn’t), from those two Edwina stans who talk shit about Kate and Simone all the time for over two years, trash behaviour from a trash fandom, the three of you are repulsive
I've followed the two accounts that you probably are, rudely (like come on, have some couth) talking about, and I've seen nothing bad about Simone because, newsflash, they understand there's a difference between the actor and the character. While I'm not saying some Edwina stans don't shade Simone, I haven't seen any of that from those I associate with and I damn sure haven't been one of them (unless some of you carry the mindset that by supporting Charithra, who also received a lot of hate similar to Simone added with the fact that some toxic Bridgerton (specifically Kate or Kathony) fans are still in her mentions or just general conversations about her, as dissing Simone. To which, if that's what you believe, because apparently some do, then I'm sorry you can't allow yourself to defend more than one person at once). And Bridgerton does talk about how precious a reputation is, especially for women, so why would it be far-fetched to believe that Edwina, who was supposed to marry a well-known Viscount from a well-known family, who ran away abruptly during their wedding and then after, would face some social repercussions? Especially with how gossiping the Ton is (which literally happens right after her failed wedding and the episodes following). I give Kate way more grace than Anthony (because he was the man in the situation and held a lot of power, he should've known better), but it's very weird some choices that she makes that, ultimately, would have placed her sister in a loveless marriage, a marriage to someone who had feelings for her sister. Even if Kate wasn't sure about her own feelings and thought that they might fade away, there still was a necessity to be honest with Edwina about THAT in particular. And, no, Kate just telling Edwina that Anthony isn't right for her and little else does nothing, especially when Anthony himself continues to discredit her words and embarrass her. Do I feel like Edwina could have asked why exactly Kate felt that way? Yeah, definitely, but I also think it would've helped in the long run had she just told Edwina the complete truth, no matter how messy it was. Or do you think continuing to keep the secret was good, even if it almost meant Kate had to watch the love of her life marry someone else and move away as a result? Like, you think criticizing that is wrong?
Also, what really tickles me is the fact that, if you find conversations about this topic old (even though remnants of it were brought back in s3, unless you missed something, unsurprisingly) and find the fandom trash, why are you here then? Like, for real, why are you in this fandom and/or on my page? Returning back to the latter, even with you stalking my page, kind of sad, you would have seen more post defending and speaking up for Simone (some my own), post calling out the racist and disrespectful behavior in the fandom toward poc actors and characters, including Kate and Simone, and you would have seen post about Kate that included excitement over her character and many other things. But because you lack the comprehension of the idea that you can critique some of the actions of a character while still enjoying them, you missed all of that. Due to the fact that you preferred to stalk and send annoying anon rather than just staying away because you can't stand the fact that people like Edwina, you missed all that. You, anon, missed that and that's supposed to be my problem? No, I think I'm good. Maybe if you weren't so high and mighty, using anon to talk shit about actual people on this app and came to talk one on one, we could've had an actual conversation whether we disagreed or not. But then that also might have given me the ability to block you, which I don't think you wanted. To each their own.

tell me all your thoughts about criminal minds it has fully taken over my entire brain and i have a fat crush on the entire cast
I went into Criminal Minds knowing very little about the actual show, I knew character names and I knew there was one guy that people REALLY seemed to find hot and that was it.
I started it and that show got me in a chokehold for MONTHS (until that hyper-fixation ended towards the end of series 5 and I stopped watching)
Also fun fact I had to write two intro scenes for a crime drama for the scriptwriting portion of my media a-level and let me tell you having an intense hyperfixation on this show helped me so much and it was one of the best things I’d ever written for that class
Also hard agree on crushing on the entire cast, I personally think series 3 was the hottest series in that sense.
But here’s some thoughts on episodes and some other random things mixed in too!
(Also I 100% enjoyed more episodes than I’ve mentioned but I can’t remember the plots for a lot of them so these are the ones I remember clearly enjoying)
Series 1:
Ep 6 L.D.S.K - I recently rewatched this episode and I throughly enjoy the hospital scenes with Hotch and Reid
Ep 10 The Popular Kids - I remember being so shocked by Aaron Paul being in this episode, also lowkey he was hot in it
Ep 14 Riding The Lightning - This is one of my favourite episodes. I hated the husband so much and he made me cringe every time he opened his mouth, and the ending just made me feel sad and the wife broke my heart
Series 2:
Ep 5 The Aftermath - I support women’s rights and women’s wrongs (God I love Elle)
I definitely liked more than one episode of series 2 but I cant recall any major plot points properly. But I do remember Reid gets kidnapped and they started an addiction story with him that never went anywhere which kinda bugs me because I think that would’ve been an interesting thing to properly explore
Series 3:
Ep 5 Seven Seconds - Another one of my favourite episodes. This episode was a ride of emotions that I wasn’t expecting and I wasn’t prepared for the things that they solved outside of the ‘main’ investigation
Ep 8 Lucky - Yeah this one made me feel ill for a little while not going to lie. I mean we did get the horrible line exchange “God is in all of us” // “So is Tracy Lambert” I know it’s not funny in any way but I like to think he was just waiting to use that specific line
Series 4
Ep 7 Memoriam - Another one that just made me feel sad! Also god I love Jane Lynch so much watching her play Reid’s mother after only seeing her as the iconic Sue Sylvester in Glee was a shock
Ep 22 The Big Wheel - I just enjoyed this episode and wasn’t expecting to see the guy who played Steve in Hawaii Five-O playing a murderer (also I was obsessed with Hawaii Five-O at one point)
Ep 23 Roadkill - This is one that I couldn’t remember exact details of but I did remember how it ended and I liked the twist. Fun fact I didn’t know the guy who played Kevin was Xander from Buffy until my mum pointed it out to me when she saw him at the end of this episode. She’s only watched half of this criminal minds episodes and one other, idk why I’m saying this but I think it’s funny.
Series 5
Ep 9 100 - Poor man can’t catch a break :( also they didn’t need to go full emotional damage with Jack hiding but they did and it worked
Ep 13 Risky Business - I don’t know when this episode came out but I remember one specific internet trend that was similar to what goes on in this episode. I like the cyber space based episodes specifically the older ones I’m not fully sure why but they don’t creep me out as much as more recent cyberspace based things.
Here’s the random section
Gideon screaming help me so he can reenact the crime while Morgan looks so confused is one of my favourite moments
There’s a scene in one of Reid’s Vegas episodes and I can’t remember which one exactly but just that one scene where he wins a shit load of money and then gives it to the woman who I think was a prostitute is so silly but I just liked it
I don’t know the full happenings but I do know what happens to Reid girlfriend in series 8 and why cant the they just let him be happy for once

Therenlover’s Official Fanfic Glossary!
Hey hey hey! This is the place where you can find all my up-to-date fanfics linked nicely, read about what projects I have upcoming, and learn what requests I’m taking at the moment! Cheers!
This post is massive so, for the sake of your dash, everything is under the cut
A NOTE ABOUT REQUESTS!
I will do my best to fulfill any requests I get while my ask box/requests are open! That being said, I cannot promise every request will get done, and that if they do, they’ll be done in a timely manner. I’m currently working on a long-form project that needs a lot of time and energy to come out consistently, so unless I’m doing a writing event most of my writing juice will be focused on that. That being said, if you want something ask! The worst I can possibly do is direct you towards someone else who might be able to write what you want if I cant.
If I choose not to do your request based on personal preference (it makes me uncomfy/I don’t write for the character at that time/I don’t feel I can write what you want/etc.) I will do my best to contact you and let you know! That being said, if you think your ask got buried/forgotten, feel free to message me again and let me know, but please tell me when you message me if I should be looking for a prior request.

Hey you! If you’ve made it this far down the list, thanks for supporting me as an author! I’ll be linking my AO3 here. I post everything there shortly before I post it here, and there are some older fics there you might enjoy along the way! It’s also easier to drop comments over there and I keep them open for non-members, so give me a shout if you liked what I wrote!
I love you all, you make me so happy, and without you support I would never be motivated to write! Cheers!
