Since coming out and getting on tumblr and all that I've come across so much art, stories, and pics that have been crazy heartwarming. All of the stuff you amazing folks put out there has made one thing extremely clear to me:
I am not alone.
The sense of strength and community here fills me with so much more hope than I could have ever dreamed of having, and every new post I see adds another brick to the growing monument of compassion that we are sharing with the world.
The more visible we are, the stronger we will be.
One of those projects that never fails to immediately make me melt is Twig by @welldrawnfish. Please please please take a stroll to her page if you somehow haven't already as she's an absolute rock star and amazing artist and is yet another one of the folks here who make me want to work harder.
I have a fantastically large amount of flaws in my drawing, and I reinforced all of those flaws for twelve years while I was making my old comic. Once Corpse Run ended, I kind of fell off the wagon and other than doodling from time to time, I didn't really draw for two years.
As it turns out, that might have been the best thing for me. I feel like I've been able to reset and unlearn bad habits.
I still have bad habits though!
BUT I'M WORKING ON THEM.
I'm not going to be able to do it every day due to work, but I've really enjoyed drawing just for the fun of it, no schedule, no deadline, no "need"... just fun.
Twig... Twig is fun. So today I wanted to sketch some Twig fan art.
So thank you to @welldrawnfish for creating this amazing character that resonates with so many, and thank you to this community for inspiring me to become a better artist. I want to keep working and growing with all of you, and I want to make our monument of compassion so grand that we remind the world that we are just as beautiful and worthy of living our lives as everyone else.

Fever Dream - Part 1
Here's the beginning of my TodoBaku My Hero Academia Fan Comic! Fever Dream is set during season 3, right after the Kamino arc and the students moving into the dorms. Keep reading if you want to know a bit more about the comic and some personal life stuff. Future pages are coming (hopefully) soon!
I wasn't planning on posting this until the entire comic was finished, but things are incredibly busy right now and I have a lot of mostly-finished pages sitting on my computer. Up to page 30 is sketched with a decent chunk of the next update already finished.
I absolutely love Todoroki and Bakugou's interactions, and one of the things I like about fanfic and comics is being able to explore the quieter moments in-between the main action. Does anyone else think about the fact that it was Todoroki and Kirishima who were determined to rescue Bakugou no matter the consequences? Expect to see a lot of blushing, dreaming, pining, and emotionally stunted boys who don't know what to do with their feelings. I hope everyone enjoys reading this as much as I've enjoyed making it.
This has been a rough year, and I'll spare everyone the details but natural disasters, and houses, and insurance (oh my!) have been a nightmare going on since the spring. I'm also back in school FT to finish up my degree. I started this comic as a way to manage the stress and like all of my projects it's grown far past its conception. Midterms are coming up, and I'll be working on more pages once they're done.

Hello! I'm a big fan of your work. I wanted to ask for advice / thoughts about an art problem I've been struggling with that you seem to have at least some sort of solution for?
So basically I'm an animator and digital artist (hobbyist), and I'm constantly coming up with new ideas for things to make. Only problem is that most of these ideas would take up to or longer than 2 months to make because, yknow, animation isn't quick, especially if you want to take your time to make it good. But with so many ideas that all take so long to complete, I often find myself tied and frozen as I can't decide what's most worthwhile to start first. I passionately want to complete all these projects, but my inspiration for each one waxes and wanes in a way I can't control, and I've just been stuck for several months. You juggle a lot of projects- not all of them art, but it still seems applicable here. This is excluding other life responsibilities like work and stuff, I don't have problems with getting that stuff done. This is purely within my creative hobby.
If u can't say anything thats fine I'm just curious- You have a massive output with great quality. Thank you!
This is a very kind message, and one that humbles me a lot, because although I'd love to bestow upon you some sort of advice that might help, or give words of wisdom..............I feel like that would be fake of me because
I also suffer from this very same thing
Tumblr media
That is to say, this part of your message:
my inspiration for each one waxes and wanes in a way I can't control
It rings true for me too! I think it might ring true for many others as well.
There are stories in my head all the time. There are stories, and concepts, and IDEAS and they are all so shiny and new in the beginning, and then they slowly peter out and, since I frequently don't have time to do anything about them, they fade into the background.
I have enough trouble with this in terms of COMICS (also a lengthy medium, though less so than animation, which, OOF, you have my condolences, you are stronger than I) that I have started to just come to terms with the fact that some things are not meant to be.
Which is, I think, one of the small bits of advice I can give.
1. Some things may just be ideas, and that's okay.
I think one of the best ways that I've learned to deal with Idea-Death is making it count towards something in the future. That is to say, using them as compost.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In order for this to work, you have to actively put your ideas into the compost pin instead of the trash. That means maybe investing in either a notebook, or a sketchbook, OR just a discord server for yourself where you organize ideas and dump them all into a channel to scroll back through later.
It may seem useless at first, but honestly, it can be satisfying to PUT them somewhere instead of letting them fade away.
Plus, you may one day scroll through them and rediscover an idea at just the right time. OR you may be inspired to take parts of an old idea and repurpose it for a new idea that you DO have motivation for.
However, there's also this part, right?
I've just been stuck for several months
I.......feel this. Sometimes I, too, feel stuck for several months. There are times when even if I WANT to work on something, I just don't have the time. It takes too long to finish!
.........which is why I recommend the following:
2. Don't finish. Just start.
Now, this is the toughie. I can't exactly say that it would work for everyone. But I have learned that I am WAY more likely to return to a project and work on it again sometime in the future if I actually DO something for it the first time I get inspired.
I have SO MANY things that I have not published in my folders. I have sketches of gifs that are 10 frames long. I have concept art sketches boldly labeled with project names that will likely never get off the ground. I have Googledoc files with summary and plot outlines for stories I'll probably never write. I have discord channels with random ass concepts and a few sketches for characters.
And what I have found is that if I just WORK on these ideas when I feel like it, they are more likely to survive, even if they don't thrive right away.
I'm also a huge proponent of Procrastination Rotation.
That is to say, I have so many projects I COULD be working on, that if I ever feel frustrated or stuck on one thing, I just shift myself slightly to the left and do another thing instead. I almost never force myself to work through a block (save for a few money-motivated deadlines) just to complete a thing.
Stuck on a comic? I'll go write a few lines of fic. Unsatisfied with where the fic is going?
I'll go sketch out an illustration. Incapable of finishing an illustration?
I'll go google some references for another comic project and slap them all into an image file for later, so that I have SOMETHING in place for when I want to do studies.
And so on and so forth.
I have comic ideas, and comic sketches, and 30+ pages of original comics sketched. I don't know if they'll make it. It would take a lot of work.
But it also takes very little work - just a few extra pages sketched while I'm bored for an hour. Or a bit of lineart while I listen to a podcast. Or just a doodle somewhere which I snap a pic of and add to my discord channel for that project.
Will it work for everyone? Probably not. But I think that our creative culture is sometimes too attached to a linear production style. The truth is that art, or illustrations, or animation, or comics - none of it has to be on an assembly line. It can be tinkered with and put aside. And then, maybe, picked apart for scraps.........or maybe made into something new!
I don't know if that helps you at all, but I hope it at least helps someone.
And good luck with your animating!

Sooooo, what if I told you that (having exhausted the pittifuly small amount of tmnt content in all our state libraries + Dailymotion) my sister and I made up a fan itteration together? Yay? Nay?
Okay, prepare for a full two day's worth incoherent concept sketches and ideas.
Firstly Leo:
Tumblr media
I know, I know who he looks like. But don't worry, I stole from all itteraions equally. You'll see.
2012 shaped limbs, 2003 white void eyes, Rise shapes and patterns, 1987-esque knee socks on Leo, the lot.
Tumblr media
He's a Spotted turtle. They like the cold more than most turtles, so I'm adding that to him, along with being quick with words and also a scrawny stick boy. Next to Mikey, Leon likes wearing clothes the best, and has this gigantic T-shirt that he belts up and feels like a Japanese warrior in.
Tumblr media
Raph was a little harder than Leon.
Tumblr media
He's a seaturtle, so he likes swimming even more than his brothers. He'll sneak out to the nearest sewer outlet at night and swim in the ocean whenever he can. But unlike Leon he hates being cold, so his swimming season is short and precious.
Tumblr media
Mikey was...a nightmare.
Tumblr media
I really wanted 'big Mikey', and I had a pretty clear vibe in my head, but putting it down was nearly impossible. He just never looked like a little brother who was actually huge. He looked like a big brother.
Tumblr media
Then I got the vibe. Also, look up Western Painted Turtles. They are gorgeous.
Mikey is fascinated by humanity, collecting and wearing bits and pieces of "human Stuff" all the time.
Now Donnie:
Tumblr media
Ooooh boy! This guy! The little alien! This is the immage that lept into my mind and started this whole thing. You may be thinking he doesn't look much like a teenager. And you'd be right. You see... >:}
Tumblr media
Donnie wasn't mutated at the same time as Splinter and the others. They were the result of an early Kraang esperiment, but Splinter excaped with three little sons. A few years later, the Kraang mutated another turtle with a new mutigin recipy. Donnie was raised by the Kraang untill he was five, being trained and studied in Kraang-y things and ways.
Tumblr media
We haven't worked out quite how the whole thing happens, but basically Splinter was out scrounging for food, and accidentally incountered some Kraang talking about moving the mutant turtle to a new lab. Absolutely panicked, he completely wrecked the entire convoy and broke into the truck, only to find that the child inside was NOT one of his sons at all. But of course, he wasn't about to just leave him there for the Kraang to find, so he brought him back and introduced him to his boys. Raph was skeptical at first, and Leon was cautious, but Mikey addopted him instantly and the others quickly followed suit.
Tumblr media
Proportions chart. I love shapes.
Tumblr media
Okay, turns out I can't draw rats. This Splinter is an artist, though. He makes it out of whatever he can find and sneaks out to sell it with more layers on than the average homeless New Englander. It makes him enough to buy food and some art supplies, but most of it he keeps in case of some emergency.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This ▲ This is the reason I wanted big Mikey. Big enough to purch on. Big enough to give Rise Raph cuddles. Big enough to be awesome big!
Tumblr media
Little Donnie can speak fine, but he's generally silent. He has, however, trained himself to read in French and Japanese as well as English. Wouldn't understand a word of spoken French, but reads fluently. (You know the feeling of realizing you're a creator and can do whatever you want, so you make someone a fan of your childhood comics even though only 1 in every 12,000 people even know what they are, let alone liked them? It's great.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Guy's hear me out. We all love the responsible/stressed/anxiety ridden Leos. But what about a chill Leo? Just a thought.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Congradulations! You just looked at all that. If you made it through the first five inches you're awesome!
We have so many more lore tidbits and so much more to work out and so much more to think about. I haven't even said half the things she and I were giggling about yesterday. But I will probably be thinking abut these guys for a while, so maybe I'll ramble again sometime.

Out of curiosity, do you follow certain people or look up body references for your art? Like, do you have any recommendations for references?
Cuase honestly, I love how you draw <3
my personal favorite artists as far as styles I'd like to absorb and gain their power are Dan Decarlo, Bruce Timm and Philtomato. I'm a big fan of simple shapes and less lines doing more. I'm not even close to that but I'm improving.
For references I would suggest The pose archives, adorastock, TrueRef by Abbey Esparza , and the morphology books which you can find here. some of these are paid but most have social media you can follow for a lot of free stuff/previews
One thing I do that I don't see mentioned is browsing figure collection blogs/seller websites (anime, comics, dnd, they all work) because they usually have pretty dramatic poses and are photographed at all angels. etsy custom printed minifigs for table top games helped a lot with the dnd themed calendars i've had to do in the past.
I also just save everything I think might be useful in the future and keep it organized in my series of folders in my reference folder. I've legit browsed through terrible manga or hentai I'm not into because the art was confident and themed to something I might need later. I think I have like 3000+ after all these years? Still, half the time I end up frankensteining a bunch of them together to get what I want and barely sticking to it lol. It's also just helpful to browse through if I have a vague idea of what I want to do but not enough to start a sketch or looking for something that would work for a commission

I took a commission recently and just wanted to vent a little for a sec.
Tumblr media
-Rant ahead-
First off, I’d like to say that I really appreciate and am flattered when people reach out and want to commission me! That’s money that could be spent on more immediate things like food or material items so having someone want a personal piece from me does mean a lot to me - I recently started being active again and although I dont take commissions very often, I will on occasion and its 90% normally a nice exchange where I can work on something that someone is happy with and I can get some pocket money too.
I haven’t made an updated commission sheet since 2017 because I wanted to do it once I felt like I had decent enough time to open up commission slots and to figure out decent pricing. Because of this, when people would reach out to me, I felt bad about charging more than what I had in my original commission menu (which tbh was low to the point where at some points the time spent =/= the price of the commission) so I took a lot of them at my old rates. Also, I really wanted to work on getting my art to a caliber where I’d be happy with it since I want to do my best especially when someone’s paying me. Commissions take priority over my own projects also since I don’t want to push stuff down with my own projects when I was literally paid to do something. My boyfriend and friends have been encouraging me to update my prices to make it more fair to me so I’ve been trying to do so while still considering making it manageable for whoever does get my commissions.
Recently, I started being active on Bluesky and someone reached out to me claiming to be a “big fan” from way back when on Tumblr (circa 2016) so I was pretty happy to reminisce and talk about old fallout accounts we missed and even drew two quick sketches for fun for them. They started talking about wanting some art from me but I started to get a weird vibe from some of the messages. Commissions can be pricey so I tried to be understanding so when they eventually asked for a comic commission, I tried giving a pretty affordable price for a very simple comic page ($40) since it was mainly 1 main picture with just two small panels toned since they kept splitting hairs. Apparently being more than petrol would have been criminal. I got other comments and voice mails from this person that made me a bit uncomfortable but I shrugged it off that maybe they had just gone through a bit and ultimately meant well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After more convo, it seemed they weren’t actually very familiar with my work. All good though it wasn’t necessary to say it if they weren’t? I got to work, looked at the references and managed to get this done in twoish days. I had some time during Christmas Eve so got a bit done then and since they emphasized wanting to get “the most for their money” I was also requested to give them the main pic, pic without dialogue and the panels separately so I did. There was no extra charge for that. I sent it to them and they were happy and started asking about another commission and that’s when I got upset.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s perfectly fine to say you aren’t in a position to commission at this time. It is absolutely understandable - all of us are trying to get by right now and commissions and art are luxuries and not something I expect someone to follow through with if they can’t do it…but to literally talk down to me when I’ve already tried to keep my prices manageable is very shitty. It doesn’t matter how many fucking hearts you put there either lol. There are people I’ve given freebies and discounts because I figure if we can make something work, I can maybe shave a little off. It’s incredibly disheartening when I try to be nice to people who say they’re so sad their oc isn’t drawn/oh no arts so expensive these days and then get met with this sort of attitude.
The Fallout Community is very warm and inviting and I’ve met so many great people through it but I’ve also had my fair share of shitty experiences too and to have someone really question the worth of your work over $30/$40$ is pretty awful. Just nicely say you can’t afford it at this time and go on your way - no sob stories or voicemails or haggling or pointing fingers over price. The entitlement is insane.

Hiiii, i am here again becoz i forgor to add something to my last question, i guess i have to pay more attention wuen i ask haha, sorry
The question is: i want to start uploading my paper drawings too, but i am a little scared, any tips to find the bravery to upload something? Or at least a little motivational word uwu
Oh and another silly little question, does it make you uncomfortable if i take a screenshot of your response to my last question i print it and i put it in my wall as my inspiration and to always be able to admire your response?? OwO
(oh my gosh every time i send a question i look more and more crazy)(i am sorry) (your comics got me trough some stuff so i genuinely adore you and your work) (sorryyyy)
Is ok. I have ADHD brain too so i understand.
As for uploading.... try to be aware of *why* you're uploading it. If you're uploading it to show this fanart of a character you like to the particular discord of that fanbase, etc, that can be a great way to just have fun showing the art you've done even as a beginner. because there's not that expectation to perform. It's just a fan showing their appreciation and love for the character among other fans. (if anyone flames you everyone will recognize that they're an asshat) Example, posting your lil sketches of the characters in Stardew valley on the stardew valley discord's art channel or owl house fanart in the discord etc.
But if you're trying to get a following, it can be quite difficult while you're honing your skills. Still, uploading your work to your page can be a very good thing just for the purposes of keeping track of your own progress, and the drawings you've done (because paper drawings get lost over time. but if you do wanna get a following, linking to your socials after you post your work is a good way to start.
I'm fine with that ^^ Anything that helps you is a good thing.
Is okie is fun to see your asks haha. And thank you o7

Character Analysis: The Boogieman (RGB)
Tumblr media
This post will hopefully be the start of many focusing (or I guess hyperfocusing) on my favorite characters in media (books, movies, cartoons, etc.). Since this is primarily a The Real Ghostbusters blog, it makes sense to start with the Monster in the Closet himself: the Boogieman (or Boogeyman). For this post, I will give a quick syponsis of who the Boogieman from RGB is, a slight tagnet on his design, the real life folklore behind the boogeyman, and talking about only his episodes but other media he has appeared in.
(This is part 1, part 2 talking about the comics and other stuff will be out soon in a couple of days.)
@differentsublimephantom @king-mera I really want you guys to see it first
Syponsis
The Boogeyman is one of the many villains to be created for 1986's The Real Ghostbusters cartoon. Not much is known (as of now) about the creation process aside from a sketch of an early design:
Tumblr media
Some elements of this early design still translated into his final one such as the lower body of a goat, his enormous height, and his iconic tailcoat. But there are many differences as well such as the early design having a more rounded body shape, his ears being more smaller, having a unicorn? horn on top of his head and some sort of tail. Despite the fact this design was not the one the show ended up using, I think it's interesting that the artists always had the idea of their version of the Boogieman being a mismatch of different ideas all combined into one like a chimera.
___________________________________
Design
The Boogeyman throughout fictional media has had many designs, mostly due to the fact that people have different artistic interpretations of what the embodiment of fear would look like. The staff who worked on RGB (I guess) all went in one room and decided to think of whatever wacky/scary things they could think of and stick it onto a monster/lh
Tumblr media
But seriously, this has to be one of my favorite villain designs right now. There's so much I have to say about it, but I don't want to meet the dreaded Tumblr word limit so I'm going to highlight some stuff I find interesting about it.
He looks like the Joker - Yes, I know everyone from Ghostbusters fans to Batman fans have pointed this out many, many times. But what's interesting to me is that The Boogieman Cometh was around the time of the Bronze Age of Comic Books (which was the time when comic books went back to their roots of being more mature and willing to show certain topics deemed inappropriate). It was also during this time Batman along with his rogue gallery were becoming more darker and edgier; this includes of course the Joker going from the Silver prankster/Cesar Romero from Batman 66 to the homicidal, 'will kill you just for laughs' criminal mastermind we all know him for today. Them lookin similar is probably a coincidence, but I still find it interesting.
He's techinally a satyr - In Greek mythology, satyrs are woodland spirits who have the physical appearance of half-man and half-goat. It wasn't always like that as they were more half-man/half-horse but later on they gain more goat features such as horns. Boogie shares many similarties to satyrs in behaviour as they're both mischievous, bestial creatures. The only thing that isn't really prevalent with Boogie is the satyrs' well known ranchy behaviour like their high liblio and their obsession with chasing down nymphs, but I guess you can say that Boogie's obssession with consuming fear is similar to that I guess???. Also the Greek god Pan, who the satyrs accompany, has a story where he terrifed humans and the Titans into a state of panic and running away with his scream, similar to how Boogie being a feared being and having a sonic scream that sends people back.
His tailcoat - The fact that he wears clothing at all, the fact that he doesn't even bother to button it up, the fact that he has a cute purple bowtie to boot, the fact that the tails themselves are freakishly long, etc, etc.
__________________________________
Folklore about the Boogieman
According to Merriam-Webster, the Bogeyman is:
1: a monstrous imaginary figure used in threatening children
2: a terrifying or dreaded person or thing : bugbear
And according to Etymonline, the bogey or boogey probably derives from words like bog/bogge (dialect variant of the Middle English word bugge), boggart (1570), and bogle (Scottish word attested from the 1500s and popularized in the 1800s)
The Boogeyman were used by parents for centuries to scare and threaten their children into correct behaviour. He would hide in closets, underneath the bed, or in the closet, waiting in the night to punish the child/children in the night. Some stories claimed that he would play annoying yet non violent pranks on his victims, while other stories goes as far in showing him kidnapping, killing, or even eating children. There's so much out there about the Boogeyman and the many variants of this type of creature in different cultures, but I haven't found any folklore book that talks about this topic as a whole. Thankfully, there is the Folklore and Mythology Electronic Texts editied and translated by D.L Ashliman that caterogizes many folklore and mythology stories based on its main trope, which include tales of Boogeyman-like creatures. It's very Eurocentric and doesnt dive deep into other cultures' monsters that possess Boogeyman-like traits, but I still recommend the article and internet library as a whole.

Analysis Time :D
The Boogieman Cometh
The title is probably a reference to the play The Iceman Cometh which got its name from a quote in Mathew 25:6, "And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him." The quote is from the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins, a story about ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom with five foolish virgins brought lamps but no extra oil, while five wise virgins brought extra oil to fuel their lanterns. How does this all relates back to the episode's name? I guess because the play has the Iceman symbolize death instead of salvation for the characters, Boogie being the monster scaring the Carter children could also symbolize the worst case scenario that Egon doesn't want to happen as it would be facing his trauma. Then again, the ______ man Cometh is a very threatening title for a story, so maybe I'm just reading into it (like the rest of this analysis/lh)
I love that there's buildup before he shows up from Egon's reaction to the Ghostbusters searching for him only to find nothing at first, its good.
OH MY GOODNESS HIS INTRODUCTION, IT'S SOOOOO GOOD
The imagery of Boogie appearing in Egon's glasses is amazing and I'm so glad that his second episode did it again.
The smirk that Egon gives him when they have him cornered, only for Boogie to smirk and send all of them flying back with his scream uggh I hate them/lh
Also I like the small detail of Boogie closing the closet door when he's escaping. Instead of him gripping the door knob, he uses his talons to pinch the knob and then close the door.
Dude really came back again to the Carter household to scare the siblings and was like "Well, that's not very nice of you."
Also that scene's the only time the animators made him button up his waistcoat. Idk I just find that funny.
Him calling Ray "a rather large toddler" will never stop being funny. I've seen reviews of this episode saying that Boogie needed to get his eyes checked, but I think the joke was supposed to be him realizing it's Ray and basically insulting him.
Thoughout this episode, Boogie's solution to dealing with the Ghostbusters is throwing random furniture and hoping they get hit by it/j
I need to take this moment to praise the ever living crap out of Frank Welker because HE'S SO GOOD. I love the animalistic growls and weird moaning (please don't take me out of context plz) noises Boogie makes, showing how bestial he is despite of him being intelligent.
He may have short goat feet, but boy are they fast/lh
I love the use of the "You and what army?" trope phrase in this because instead it's Peter saying "Yeah, you and what Starfleet?". Which on one hand, yay a Star Trek reference that I can get without watching 1,000 hours of content, but also yeah Egon probably needs a whole USS Enterprise to deal with him.
I think the reason why Boogey didn't immediately destory Egon was because he wanted to have fun with his prey before anything else. I'm saying this cause I don't want to face the true that Boogie was being too cooky/in the moment/j
HOLY SHIT THE CARTER CHILDREN ROASTED HIS ASS LETS GO!
Me seeing Boogie tripping on a bunch of marbles: Oh my god, he's so pathetic I love him more/j
Also when he lands on his butt after falling, it sends him flying before dangling off the bridge??? Dude's ass is flat like cardboard/j
Him going "HUH?!?" is funny.
I LOVE LOVE THE LAST SCENE. For once and I guess the last time if I'm correct, we see him truly caught off guard and afraid. I also love that it shows him running at the bomb. I've seen this type of scene many times in fiction where someone goes back into a place despite how dangerous it is for them and so many times I've seen people complaining "Wow! They're so stupid! Why go back?" and its like.... the story clearly shows them going back, because something or someone of value was still in the building and clearly those characters that do go back are either not in the right mindspace and/or flight-or-fight response going haywired. Which is what I think happen to Boogie, as he was finally realizing what the Ghostbusters were doing (blowing up his home) and not thinking straight, ran to the bomb. Also the scene, in the way it's set up, makes it look like the Boogieman was fucking massacred. I saw someone in Reddit who questioned why Boogie was being included in Spirits Unleashed because THEY THOUGHT HE DIED IN HIS FIRST EPISODE! While I'm glad that he was killed off, they could have easily done and I would have respected them cause the scene is that good.
The Bogeyman Is Back
GOAT BOI IS BACK. And he sorta has a new design, though it's more like a revamped design, but I still love it.
I love how you don't see Boogie at all during his intro scenes. First, it's POV shots, then as he's walking from one door to another you have a blink and you'll miss it glimpse of him in the mirror, then there's the shadow of him monologing while holding up the grand piano, then a shot when he turns his head, then the back of him when he removes the slime off of the wall, and finally the scene of him being reflected in Egon's glasses (like TBC) athough he's in the shadows.
Him trying to open this one door only for the knob to be violently ripped out was so funny that I put it in my fanfic (shameless plug: https://www.tumblr.com/tylwer34567/775500744009957376/chapter-two-of-springs-first-meetings-is-out?source=share)
Still miffed that he destroyed his piano. GIVE HIM A MUSICAL NUMBER, GHOSTCORP (preferably with Samhain)
Also I've already talked about this, but there's similarites between Egon and Boogie's dynamic with that of the hunter and vampire in the old movie Egon watched in this episode (shameless plug #2: https://www.tumblr.com/tylwer34567/772763623894450176/just-had-another-thought-that-changing-boogey-from?source=share)
One thing I noticed was Boogie's eyes. Sometimes, the red pupils would have a shiny white dot and its usualy happens when he's consuming fear/or in an proximity of large amounts of fear
Also he drools, a lot. Like people who haven't watch the show, I'm serious he drools like a dog in this (probably cause he's hangry/lh)
This episode is the first time Boogie says Egon's name (two times in fact) and I wish he didnt because it sounds like actual moaning and I feel unclean
He's such a troll. He doesnt try to kill Egon and instead goes Boo! And instead of harming the dog on the rooftop, he just...creepily groans at it??
Hippity hop hop/j
Everyone who made the joke of Boogie bursting into the Junior Ghostbusters' place like the Kool-aid Man is amazing and deserve to live a long life/lh
The way he does his scream makes him look like a brat who just got told no by their parents.
The face Boogie makes when he's rubbing his hands after turning the amusement park into his realm gives me Spongebob and the Strangler vibes "Hm, yes, excellent~" (I need to make an edit of that)
I have used the "On the contrary" gif so much on this blog, but can you blame me? He looks like he's more ready to seduce than feed off the gang's fears/lh
Him jumpscaring Peter by being the gargoyle knob actually gave me a heart attack. I didn't exspected it.
BIGGER GOAT BOI :D
Casually pushes his minions aside/lh
If there's one thing that I don't like about this episode (there's alot I don't think), it's that techinally thanks to the Junior Ghostbusters, Boogie gets trapped and defeated. I don't know how to explain it, but I much prefer how the first episode dealt with it. Also Janine was robbed of beating up Boogie
I kinda feel bad for Boogie since his entire body is turning (against his will) into incorporeal and it's clearly causing him much pain. But then, I remember all the stuff he did and I go "Oh yeah, burn the bitch."/j
Bye Boogie, see you never in animation cause you never showed up in Extreme Ghostbusters goddamnint/lh

I'M BACK WITH MORE MTCPT!!!
I've lost track of time and can't remember the last time I posted mtcpt stuff, it's been nearly two weeks, maybe??
Anyway, I've seen a lot of people discovering the original version of My Two Cents Plus Tax so I wanted to draw their old designs again :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sanders, buddy, you're fantastic man but that old haircut....
Anyway, I've had this silly little head cannon that Jock & Sanders have this thing together of sharing and listening to music with each other. So, it was fun to think they've been doing that since the early days of working with each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can't stop putting characters in sweet, nice and relaxed scenarios. I'm a sucker for feel-good stuff, so naturally, I keep putting my favourite characters in these blissful, quiet moments
Tumblr media
There's no particular idea I had when drawing this, I kinda realised I've never drawn or at least not for a while, drawn someone holding a cat. It was fun thinking about how each of them would interact with a cat, I think Jock would be a big fan of cats: I think Jock wasn't close with a lot of people growing up so he'd probably befriend the local street cats.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I NEED YOU ALL TO HEAR ME OUT!! This was a very rushed sketch of an idea I had. Okay okay so the three-legged race chapter is the last chapter of the comic for those of you who don't know, and I was thinking about how it'd end.
To be honest I've got no clue how it'd end, HOWEVER! I'm betting near the end: we'll see Sanders smile. NOW it's VERY unlikely this could happen and this is just me making predictions for the hell of it, but it's just a fun idea I wanted to explore a little. Whether he smiles or it's a different expression, I just think it'd be super hype. AGAIN this is just for fun, I don't know if or entirely think it will befit the story. If it does then great! but this is me messing around for enjoyment :]
Tumblr media
Ending it on a small note: just some random sketches :D
I'm still working on my mini mtcpt project, I've been putting it off for a while (procrastination strikes again!) and my first semester just finished so I've yet to get around to finishing it.
As always I appreciate the support shown to my art, it genuinely means the world to me as a silly teen artist drawing these silly little characters <3

You know what?
You know analog horror right? Like The Backroom, The Mandala Catalogue, Angel Hare, Arcadia, and The Walten Files?
I would like there to be an Octonauts Analog Horror.
In the 80s/90s/early 2000s, the US Government decides to make a secret experiments to use human test subjects and turns them into animals to use them in organizations where it is impossible for humans to be.
For some test subjects, they’re willingly members of the government. But for the others, not so much…
For example: A young kid who dreams of becoming a doctor is kidnapped and experimented on, turning him into a penguin.
Ok, this is a long shot but it’s a cool idea and I want to see it.
did end up making some sketches further down the post
Honestly I had thought of something similar! Just uh, without the existanxe of humanity and all XD (sorry I took 98 years to respond btw)
Although the idea is very fascinating, id personally need some sort of driving force for the Why. Id understand changing human DNA to be more adaptable to those environments instead of making robots, but a more intense transformation (like a human being to an avian animal) would be alooott more difficult
I am familiar with analog horror however and its a pretty cool medium!
Personally,I'm working on my oil rig comic, but I'm hoping afterwards I can work on my next one. Alot of the ideas on it are all still pretty rough but I'm personally a cryptid creature fan :> so I actually had some ideas for a sort of "horror" scenario (its really more comedic lol, at least to me)
As for an ACTUAL horror au I did consider something similar to that one roblox game I've heard about, "Pressure" i think?
The idea of that game is basically like secret underwater SCP foundation but evil with an abandoned base lol. So thus hypothetical au would actually be inspired by that! Things like cryptid creatures, the "remains" of abandoned experiments, and etc lurking within this secret water zone only for the octonauts to stumble onto lol
I'm very nitpicky about my own worldbuilding personally, but honestly you've got a pretty strong, interesting, and compelling base to this au!
And honestly I think a lot of people would be interested in you making some stuff for it! Might even inspire some folks to make art for it :3 of course, you ain't even gotta draw amazing to make aus btw :>
You can use text (like analog horror style), writing, mini simple comics, lore posts, and even include real life images of the deep sea and etc to like? Add an aesthetic with different fonts of text and etc! There's tons of possibilities.
Also if u do choose to make art, even if you're "not an artist" don't be afraid to make "bad art" ! Every artist starts somewhere after all ^v^
Your au definitely needs some expansion, so I definitely recommend deciding what scenes or events or emotional sentiments you NEED (sketched some ideas:
Tumblr media
click for higher quality^
I thought maybe pesos father could have worked for this organization? Been forced to work for them? Maybe it was blackmail or some deal made by adults that put peso in the situation he was in? Does he feel betrayed by his dad? I dont know but I'm thats where my brain went lol enjoy
And then work on WHY and how? Like how did he get there? Why did they specifically choose him? How does he meet the others? Were they taken as children as well? Did any choose this path? Wouldn't peso not be happy with this? Wouldn't peso want to share this violation of self with the world? Was he tricked into silence or forced into it? Does he think its really for the better that he's become what he is? Things like that!
Good luck fr <3

You said you saw Deadpool & Wolverine - how did you like it?
Oohh, thanks Nonny! I had been planning on writing my thoughts! :)
I liked it!
I thought it was a very apt bridge between the old Fox films and Deadpool coming into the MCU.
I'm not a huge fan of uber violent things but something I appreciate about the Deadpool films (and Ryan Reynolds' brand of 12yo humor) is that behind it all is a lot of heart. And this film retained that, through all the crudeness, the point is that ultimately, Deadpool/Wade is a really good guy. And I can respect that.
Getting into specifics... which are very spoiler-y
I thought the plot itself was very thin, and this whole thing probably works better as a bunch of sketches, but it's fine. I was never asking for a lot from this film, and it did the only thing I was really asking of it, which was provide entertainment and get Deadpool into the MCU.
I appreciate that they really didn't shit on Logan's legacy while bringing Hugh Jackman back. Jackman seemed to be having a good time of it, which I'm glad to see.
Btw, loved all the musical jokes we got in this! Loved it.
I LOVED the montage of various Wolverines -- I understood most of the references! Yay me for reading X-Men comics for so long!!
The Henry Cavill cameo? Perfect.
I'm not surprised we didn't see a lot of Wade's family and friends, but it is sad they got such a small amount of screen time.
Ooff, Vanessa continues to be the one really weak piece of this whole thing. Does the actress not want to be there? Does she have limited time? Why is her character always being reduced to love interest whom Wade does everything for but there's no development of her character? Idk.
The TVA stuff is fine. I feel like it's so convoluted now that it doesn't really matter that it ultimately doesn't make much sense. I do think the MCU needs to start moving away from the multiverse stuff. It's just getting too mucky and it's lost focus.
Oh, why is Thor holding Deadpool, I'm sure it was just a gag, but oh god would it be hilarious if they brought it back at some point.
The Happy stuff. It's always great to see him, but how did Deadpool end up in the main universe? Why am I even questioning this?
Cracked me up that they hid Peter's face in that picture. Can't give Sony any more money than necessary.
Oh, in general, I love LOVED all the fourth wall breaks. This is why I watch Deadpool movies.
Cassandra Nova was fine as a villain. The actress was great! She just feels... a little too seriously evil to be in this comedy movie. Idk.
All the returning c-list villains were fun!
Having Chris Evans return as Johnny Strom was a brilliant move and I loved it. Having him just be the opposite of Steve Rogers on top of it was hilarious. Perfect use of a cameo, film.
Wesley Snipes returning as Blade. Goddamn. I'm kinda surprised he agreed to do it!
Great to see Jennifer Garner return as Elektra. I'm kinda glad I made myself watch all those marvel movies (which I still need to finish...) I appreciate this cameo more (and the dig at Daredevil).
Yay Laura returning! Could have always used more of her, but she did what she needed to.
Okay. Okay, let's talk about it. Let's talk about Channing Tatum as Gambit...
The Pros : The accent was fun, the way they used his powers was fantastic and original, they didn't make him the butt of jokes or treat him like a joke, there was a general respect for the character overall and I really, really, appreciate that being a Gambit fan
The Cons : Look, I have nothing against Tatum personally. He just doesn't look right. He's too think in body shape (not meant in a derogatory way), and his face just doesn't work in the headsock. Not to mention the costume looked plastic and cheap.
I really hope Gambit is back, but can we have Tatum as Gambit here like we had JKras as Mr. Fantastic in Dr. Strange? Just a one time fun gag? Please??
Remy is having a really good year despite dying everywhere.
The Deadpool squad (or whatever) I'm afraid I haven't read enough Deadpool to really get it, but it was fun. The side scrolling action sequence reminded me of a video game. And honestly, Wolverine with his cowl on, just kind of loosely moving reminded me of a video game as well.
I'm super curious to see how Deadpool plays within the MCU now. Let's go for it.
The credits were a nice touch. I'm glad they could honor those films for what they did, and I'm glad we can now move on from them.
Tl:dr it was fun and I liked it! :)

Hiiii i just saw your Outsiders/Christine art and HOLY SHIT. When i say my jaw was on the floor it was on the floor. I’m a huge Stephen King fan (I’ve only read his books bc to me his books are good enough. I’m not a huge horror movie watcher girlie but i can do thriller/horror books. I have like 8 of his books, including Christine, on my bookshelf) and once again: HOLY SHIT. I can lowkey see the Outsiders trio as the Christine trio. Now whenever i go to reread the book, i can’t view it the same anymore haha. Another Outsiders/Stepehen King art idea for Halloween: 11/22/63. It’s one of my absolute favorite Stephen King novels. And if you haven’t read it, highly recommend it. It’s so intense and entertaining and i do get lost in that book. Anyways, HOLY SHIT. But i was also wondering if you have any tips for beginner digital artists? Like on layers, line art especially, shading etc.? I really want to get into more digital art but my tradional sketches lowkey look better than my digital ones haha. Whenever i see your stevepop or Outsiders art it just gives me a boost of inspiration. And i love them your honor.
Woah, thanks!! I’ll have to check it out- so far I’ve only read Christine and The Body (because my dad’s obsessed w/ Stand By Me), but I really dug both so I’m looking forward to it!
And as for digital art tips, I guess I’d say to keep things loose! I like to use a modified version of the Shale Brush on procreate for my sketches and lineart because it resembles a pencil, and the rough messiness makes it a whole lot easier for me to just relax and draw the way I do on paper. I don’t shy away from messiness especially in digital art- it makes things flow better in a medium that can get really stiff sometimes.
I like to do my sketches in bright colors, and I tend to assign every subject a certain color so I can tell them apart easily (idk how helpful it is, but it works for me!) Then I lower the opacity and draw on a layer on top like this:
Tumblr media
Then I turn off the sketch layer and either fill everything in with base colors, or color it in grayscale w/ this Copic marker brush and varying levels of opacity for my comics.
As for shading, I do a combination of cell shading and painterly shading (picture for the uninitiated lol). Both have their merits, and shadows in real life usually include a bit of both.
Tumblr media
For more simple stuff, I take a shade of either purple or sometimes magenta and cell shade everything with this pencil brush on a multiply layer, usually set to 30-ish% opacity depending on the drawing. Then I’ll blend it out a bit to soften some edges, which is what makes it look painterly. Also if you don’t know, “clipping mask” layers are really helpful for shading! You just put the shading layer over the colors and it stops you from going outside of the colors, it can be super helpful. This method is the one I usually use, and the one I’ve been using since I first started about five years ago now.
For the Christine poster specifically though I mostly just kept everything to one layer and color dropped from the reference, altering the colors as I saw fit- and just sort of guessed for Evie because she’s way tanner than Leigh and needed her own colors. The only times I used different layers were for each individual character so that they didn’t mess each other up, and also for the sketches, which I put on top of the colors but lightened the opacity on. Idk that I’d recommend this for a beginner tho, it’s taken me years to get comfortable working like this!
Sketch is set to a multiply layer here too. You can’t see it super well here tbh, because of how dark everything is, but oh well. Here’s a study I did last year with the same method tho! (Also she’s got some similarities to Evie huh?? I guess I have a type lol oops)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyhow, that’s probably enough for now lol- but lmk if there’s anything else you wanna know! And obviously this is just how I do things, there’s no hard and fast rules for any of this- I’m making it up as I go along, and you should too!!

Hi previous fate anon again!!
Thanks so much for your reply!! Please, I’m begging you to share all your thoughts about this AU. The joy of having such a talented person create and share a world combining a current interest and a decade long interest cannot really be expressed.
It totally makes sense that it would follow more of your own plot rather than the game specific ones!! I was just curious after the Rin and Grian connection, and having a preference for the unlimited blade works storyline in comparison to HL and fate. Now I’ve even more excited to see what else you have cooked up for them!!!!
It’s really interesting how Archer shows how Scar loses himself. The Archer and Grian things you’ve drawn are so fun with the way that Archer gets more annoyed with Grian and I’m so pumped to see more of that relationship (the snipe that guy sketch lives in my head rent free). As someone who cared a lot more about Rin and Archer than Shirou and Saber, I will admit I am heavily biased towards them, but god do I love Scar and Rider so much.
I love how you’ve set up the servants too to all be game winners and only remember the previous seasons, not the future ones. I love how it impacts Saber and Pearl’s relationship because he only remembers his ally!!! The angst potential with Rider finding out that Archer is future Scar terrifies me deeply. On that note, holy shit am I excited to see if Berseker and Saber interact (poor Pearl).
Grian’s physical abilities being inspired by Kuzuki!! I love it.
Sorry that this is definitely all over the place!! Please always indulge in yapping about this!!!
eeeeeeeeeeee you’re too nice im actually meltinggggg (*´∇`*) i luvvvv seeing people combine the life series w their favorite shows n games n such, and i’ve done a couple as well but the only one that’s stuck with me was fate, it’s really resparked my love for the series n im so sososo ecstatic that you would be interested as a fan of the fate series!!!!(i was a little scared fate fans would see this n get on to me about all my mess ups haha)
ugghhsghdhd you and me both, i just wish ubw was a little more rin centric!!! i luvvv heaven’s feel but ubw is definitely the fav in my heart!! with how much rin’s influence impacts the story and her involvement in every route, it’s so sad to see her be pushed to the side in comparison to the other heroines :((
sighhhhhhhh grian n archer’s relationship,,,i have a handful of sketches of them bickering n arguing but they’re pretty close up until grian uses his first command seal,,after that things are a little tense between them hehe :) goddd the sniping bit, it means sm to me that you liked it, it was part of one of the first mini comics i made for this that was never put out (๑>◡<๑)
aaaaaaaa pearl n saber i can’t wait to draw saber finding out berserker’s identity!!! and pearl using her command seals!!! and everything involving the two of them!!! he’s sooo absolutely devoted to pearl because of how selfless n caring she was in LL, giving him two of her lives and all. but the forefront of berserker’s mind is only how everyone treated her in DL (≧∇≦) him meeting berserker and not having a clue on how pearl could’ve become someone like this uugghhghghghfhh
it was sooooooo long ago like way before i started using tumblr but the first little comic thing i did was grian finding out scar n archer were the same person, but it was soo rough i don’t know if it’s still up (i deleted some of my early fate stuff bc a lots been changed). so rider definitely knows archer’s scar hehe, he just doesn’t understand why. it’s so hard to put rider’s state of mind into words, but at the end of the day he doesn’t like interacting w archer out of guilt from the events in the hgw :P
it’s so exciting to blab about this stuff and i hope it’s not too cluttered!! i often forget what i’ve said publicly or not and might bring up something that requires more context😖😖 you are sososooo awesome sauce and it’s always so fun to hear from you!!!!💖💗💓💖💖💓💗💗💓

various comic sketches for different projects (dec 2024 - jan 2025).
my first serious multi-page comic was made 2018 -- both my most recent comic and first were made in january AND made for fanfic. there's seven years' difference between those two but being a fan of other fanworks has not changed at all. more thoughts and past artwork underneath the cut
Tumblr media Tumblr media
bits from my first serious comic (2018). i've simplified my process wrt to shading because it took me a whole week of being in front of a screen day-to-night to finish five pages. i also didn't color it, because, fuck, man. i hate coloring. i was burnt out for a whole month before i started drawing again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these one-pagers (amongst others) preceded the multi-page one by a few months or so. iirc i gave up using screen tones very quickly...
Tumblr media
a few thumbnails of two dudes beating each other up hotly. i had good taste as a seventeen y/o, ngl. i did the first page (not seen here) i think a few years later:
Tumblr media
(2022) i'm not happy with this, but i accept that my skill in art would never grow in a linear fashion. BUT. i think the composition of this particular part was kinda cool.
Tumblr media
(2020) i didn't touch multi-page comics for months at a time. they took up a lot of work and i was frequently exhausted.
Tumblr media
this one (2020) was fully shaded but i prefer the lines. i think i was in the process of lining it again but i lost the process when i fucked up the save. i had a whole story and everything-- it was an au stuck in my head for a while, but tbh i quickly lost interest when no one else was into it. the line art is sloppier, but i approached it w a, "finished, not perfect" attitude. at the time i thought i had peaked in 2018-2019 (still do) and my enthusiasm for art was on the decline.
in my past reflections i was so hard on myself. didn't give myself enough grace-- i barely had enough energy and focus to do another one of those labor-intensive multi-page comics of the same quality as the ones i made around 2018.
it's not a standard i hold myself to anymore.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(dec 2024 - jan 2025) i think my interest in art (and by extension, comics) is back on the upswing. i acknowledge that it probably won't stick around forever--my skills and interests wax and wane--but i think i've made peace with my self-criticism. i was very hard on myself as a teenager. this will probably will change in the future too.
but i think that's okay.
there wasn't really a point im trying to make here. i just fucked up really badly today and i'm trying to scrape together some sense of esteem in myself LMAO. it'll be fineeeeeeee.
anyway, i'm proud of all the stuff i've done. i've always wanted to be a mangaka since i was a child. and i still am wanting...
Tumblr media
here's julia ortega and chris if you've made it to the bottom. thanks for reading all my shit!!

1/2 I got the paperback version too. I always wanted the hardcover version, but that one came with ridiculously high shipping costs D: Anyway, that's a vast collection you got there. There's some stuff I didn't even know existed, like the unofficial water tribe volumes. From a quick google search, it looks like a fancomic about Zhao? Was it popular back in the day? Then you have stuff I wouldn't have expected you to own, like the Zuko graphic novel, or as I like to call it, the atla manga xD
The 'Water Tribe' comic is, technically, a fan-comic about Zhao, but what distinguishes it is that it's written and drawn by a storyboard artist who actually worked on both AtLA and LoK, and did official comics for AtLA. It's been contradicted by Zhao's cameo in LoK, but the look and feel are IMO the closest you can get to the original animated series, so it goes on the shelf with my official Avatar comics.
I actually got it signed at the same time as the Zuko graphic novel, as Johane Matte and Benjamin Wilgus were sharing a table at NYCC. I had brought my own copy of Zuko's Story and purchased the Zhao comic there, but Wilgus got confused and thought I had purchased everything just then. So the original note hopes that I will enjoy it. But then Matte clarified the matter after I started walking away, so I was called back by Wilgus to get a post-script added with a correction to hoping I enjoyed it. So that's something unique.
Also, I forgot to mention before that Wilgus did a sketch of Cartoon Zuko in it, which is pretty much how everyone was treating the comic at the time- an AtLA prequel manga that for some reason had Zuko and Iroh drawn incorrectly but that's easy to ignore. XD
As for the manga itself, I think it has its ups and down, most of the ups being the bit with the Guru you're going to mention in your second part. It's not something I would recommend to anyone but the serious collector. ;)
Continued:
2/2 I remember liking the interactions between Zuko and the guru in that one. But the thing that surprised me the most was your signed copy of the comics. You mean to tell me that you willingly asked your archnemesis Gene Yang for his autograph? Are you truly Loopy777? xD Regarding the Avatar Legends game, can't you play with your brother? Or is he not an atla fan?
Hey, Yang was sharing the table with Hicks. I may not like his comics, but it would have been super awkward to just bring books for her to sign when most of the line had beloved copies of American Born Chinese with them! XD For the record, I think ABC lives up to the hype, and in fact I've loved all of Yang's original graphic novels that I've read. So I was able to have some pleasant conversations while waiting in that line.
However, one of the people waiting in line with me offered to get the rest of my Yang comics signed for me since she just had a couple of books for each author. I declined, saying I'd be happy just getting the first volumes signed since for me it's more about supporting the author and getting a nice thing for my collection. I did not say I didn't care that much about it that I wanted to bother someone else. XD
But yeah, here's the proof.
As for Avatar Legends, my brother and I find it hard to align our schedules enough for what would have to be a several-hour session, and he's never been much of a serious role-player. It would probably also be kind of weird just to play one-on-one, rather than in a group, as this system especially seems to be about collaborative storytelling. But yes, he's a fan of the original AtLA cartoon, although that hasn't extended to any of the expanded material or even LoK. For him, it's a show he enjoyed, not an obsession. Which is probably a much healthier mental state for this franchise. :P

About the series of comic I've been drawing,
I mean about the one I'm drawing recently about an AU of a more peaceful world where Ai and Hikaru has a new child... it started as a really simple idea of me just wishing them to have some peaceful life but
New ideas keep popping up, stuff I really didn't plan at first and I think it might end up being a bit bigger than what I first planned it as where a lot of characters will be happy, not just those two!! (This is pretty natural since if people are happier, it affects everyone around them in a positive sense) I think you all may like it because it will give a more optimistic take on how the idol industry or its fans could be.
I'm not sure how realistic it will be compared to how the original onk handles it..the real world would probably lie somewhere in between the two because the work ended on a really pessimistic note the way I see it... but maybe the world wouldn't be so harsh on idols with children either. In fact, I think most people wouldn't be so cruel. The ones that are vocal stand out the most, but the public... were they always so uncaring? or so unhelpful? Whenever somebody's having a hard time, we ask each other for helping hands, people make donations, raise funds, and pull each other up, don't they. Even complete strangers do that for one another. I think humans are capable of doing that and being so. That's how civilization could even exist in the first place. People NEED each other to survive and we come to accept and live together as a community.
In the end.. the work didn't handle it so well and I'm really frustrated about it but I believe it did allow a lot of people to think about/have more compassion towards the lives of idols, as people who pursue their own dreams. If an idol ends up having a baby the way Ai's been.. won't people be more accepting of it now that this work is out? I thought the work would.. give out that sort of message and convey of it, I'm not sure if it really does in the ending, and that makes me pretty mad; but it did have me think about it and I really liked that effect it had on me...
so, I'd like to convey that a little :) It'll be quite simple, really... and things wouldn't really go that happy so easily, and I'm probably pretty unaware of how ugly people can get still, even after all the years I've lived
but as I was sketching out the outlines for the next part... I just wanted to write that it convinces me though. I think in terms of a work, even if it's fanwork... you have to make something that must first convince yourself. I believe that if you can’t accept your own work, you won’t be able to convince anyone else. I've been really believing in what I come up with~
