You’re already in bed, Remus on his way to join you, when he pauses just on the threshold of your bedroom. “Oh, shit.” 

You put your phone down to see him. “What is it?” 

Your boyfriend looks repentant. “Dove, I’m so sorry. I’ve just remembered I need to grab something from the store.” 

Your heart sinks. Right into the soft, warm mattress you’re currently cozied up on. 

“Do you think you might want to just stay here?” Remus asks, expression lined with worry and guilt. “I can go to the one just down the block, won’t be gone five minutes.” 

You’re already standing up, going for your coat. He’s right, it’s a short walk; you can manage it in your pajamas. “I’ll go with you, if that’s okay,” you say softly, searching for your easiest shoes to slip on. Remus sighs and you look up at him, tentative. “Is it? Okay?” 

His smile is gentle, his disappointment not for you. He places a hand on the top of your head, dipping down to press a kiss there. “Of course, sweetheart. I’m only sorry to drag you out of bed.” 

You do miss it, but you give him your best smile. “It’s not your fault,” you tell him. “I’m the one who won’t stay here by myself.” 

“Well, I know you feel that way and I still forgot to go to the store at a reasonable hour,” Remus argues lightly, opening the door for you. You try to hide your shiver at the chill that greets you, but his arm comes around you anyway, pressing you close to his side. The air smells bright and clear. “Anyway, I really wouldn’t want to leave you alone anyway. Would always rather have you keeping me company, you know?” 

You are acquainted with the sentiment. A happy ruckus starts up in your chest, warming you from the inside out. “You really don’t mind?” 

“Mind?” Remus chuckles, dropping another kiss on your head. “Dove, I get to have you with me nearly every time I go out. It’s a dream.”

Being as sensitive as she is she takes it deeply personally and retreats to her place of comfort, the library with a weighted blanket around her and covering her head. Tbh I agree, nowadays the closest thing I can get to long Snupin fics are long-ish one-shots or smut fics 🧍‍♀️

About a year ago I made a long Snupin fic list (I literally have the link saved as “Ultimate Snupin fic list” in case anyone asks 😀), the first three fics are the most popular ones so I’m sure it’s part of the same popular fics you’ve mentioned 😅 but they still are really good! If you haven’t read one of them you should definitely give it a chance. That Awful Boy (it’s a series) is my favourite Snupin fanfic of all time (+ Lily’s Boy, but TAB satisfies more of my… Snupin needs, if that makes sense), and it’s very underrated imo. But of course, like all great fics, it’s ongoing, and the author hasn’t updated since 2021 (fun fact, they posted their most recent chapter a day after I joined tumblr for the first time), which—if you’ve lost all sense of time, like me—was 2 years ago. 💔 (no one understands my depression over this, that fic healed all what needed to be healed) But I’m sure the list will be of great use to you, but fyi the fics get shorter as the list goes on (the end basically just consists of one-shots), the longest are at the top.

i always say time lapse is like. the fanficification(? omg typing that made my brain glitch lol) of the worst parts of my journals through the years (in contrast to seven things, which is notably the opposite). so — yeah, that. like, this in particular, for example:

🤗 What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

hmm this is really cliche but really do try to write for yourself and don't lose sight of what makes it fun, whatever aspect of writing fanfic that might be for you. like characters, plot, world-building, dialogues, etc. just because it's really so so so easy to get lost in comparisons and making it good enough and getting high traction and, like, craving kudos comments etc, and that's valid and all of course like you need those to thrive, but like for me at some point it just became such unhealthy obsessions and they just surpassed the need to simply tell the story? like it was not fun at all anymore. and then it just got so easy to get disheartened and abandon plot ideas. it's still a struggle honestly. it's a constant effort to remind myself that, like, you know what, you started writing shit with nothing. you wrote the early ones on nothing. beginner-you would have worked on these ideas just out of sheer excitement and curiosity. where is that energy. get that energy back. now you have some readership and you're not writing??? go write, dumbass.

ugh for jily yes loads. i have this bloodbender lily AU idea in my head that's been in there for sooooo long and i will one day write. she gets paid to kill james (or remus, i haven't decided yet). the black family oversees the benders in town. it's a mess. IWODO (the great jily breakup fic) is scrapped (for now), i'm so sorry. i've also started a hunter x hunter AU at some point i think? and a shingeki no kyojin one???? lots of anime AUs omg.

First of all, obligatory shout about how much I love blvnk and her jily art. So so good.

I’m not going to say exactly where I plan to end the series, but I will say that there’s a reason I have both a canon and AU ending planned haha. I definitely get emotional when thinking about writing their deaths (actually, I’ve already written the big ones), but I also really love the tragedy of the canon story and how that informs the narrative the whole way through. Kind of the way I love listening to Hadestown over and over again…what’s the quote from that song?

Cause here’s the thing To know how it ends And still begin to sing again As if it might turn out this time… I learned that from a friend of mine

I’m a sucker for a good tragedy, and I love that with the marauders we all know how the story ends, we’re here for the characters and the journey. That’s so lovely.

That said, I definitely rely on my AU ending sometimes when I get too sad haha. Oddly enough, the deaths aren’t the part that devastate me. It’s what comes after. I genuinely can’t think about Sirius in Azkaban or Remus during the lost years for long without absolutely losing it lol.

💔 angsty headcanon: i think it's very easy to imagine james being a lonely child. i know a lot of people imagine him growing up with marlene and peter (and sometimes barty) and i do love that, but its hard to look past the fact that his parents are older and he probably didn't spend a lot of time around other children before hogwarts. i dont think he ever grew out of the fear that he'd be alone forever, so he clung to sirius, remus, and peter

🎶 music headcanon: country music is his guilty pleasure (guilty bc regulus hates it so he has to listen to it in secret). i also think he gets a lot of his music taste from sirius always playing his stuff in the dorms

👥 friendship headcanon: i absolutely adore the idea of james and pandora being really close and will absolutely be writing that one day. i think they have that kind of friendship where they dont need to talk much or see each other often, but the other will always be there when they need it most (i think their type of friendship is very different than how pandora + reg or james + sirius would be). i like both the idea of them knowing each other prior to jegulus and reg being the one to introduce them! james is also the best uncle to luna ever <3 (sorry reg)

Okay here comes the orange side theory, I also might use this theory in an animatic I might make.

Logan is the orange side, he always has been, he just doesn’t know it. All the sides each have a corresponding color, Roman is red and Janus is yellow etc. All together we get a rainbow, but not orange, we have two blues. I’ve always found that a bit confusing. Logan has been showing more anger recently, with him throwing a paper at puppet Roman in LNTAO, saying “I’m sorry. I’m not sure what that was..”

then again when he yelled at Remus in WTIT. He said “Stop… Ignoring me!”

right after he began to look confused and readjusted himself feeling that same feeling after throwing the paper at Puppet Roman. I believe that Logan is the orange side. He is just finally realizing it. (Maybe.)

“Do any of the light sides (Virgil Included) know about the orange side?” - I have two answers. Yes, and no. It’s possible they know of an orange side like they knew about Janus and Remus.. They probably don’t know. Though in the Anniversary Video, Remus says “Not like what’s coming up… Oh Honey, you have a big storm comi-” before he gets cut off. Then AFTER with Logan in WTIT, Janus says “Yes, everything is just fine…” then the eyes glow after it cuts to black.

So maybe only Janus and Remus do?

Which leads me to another question.

“Do the light sides (Virgil excluded) know that Virgil is a dark side?” (This is still connected to the theory I’m getting somewhere.) I honestly don’t have an answer for this one, because if they did they might have brought it up?? In the courtroom Janus mentions that Virgil has “ never been reluctant to share anything with the group”

…So they don’t know?!? Cause, Virgil only admitted being a dark side to Thomas…. ALONE. So?!?! if they already knew that the other two existed, and hypothetically “know” about Virgil.. wouldn’t they know about the orange side too? I don’t know.

The sides have shown no knowledge of the orange side except a few hints from Remus, Janus, and technically Logan.

All together Logan is showing his true colors (pun intended) and finally becoming the orange side. (This also doesnt mean orange is a dark side.) ALSO THE ORANGE AT THE END OF THE VIDEO?
