I have fucked up every single thing I have tried to knit over the past three days. I don't know what to do. Knitting is what I do when I'm not up to doing anything else. What do I do when I'm not up to knitting? This afternoon I lay in bed for an hour and a half doing literally nothing.

I wonder if it's another perimenopause thing.

I should probably take a break from knitting for a couple days, but I seriously don't know what else to do with myself.

That said, one of my favourite things about knitting is that it's pretty much the only thing I allow myself to be bad at. So maybe I should just keep casting on, fucking up, frogging, casting on, fucking up...

I've been doing fairly well. I wanted to be writing yesterday for Tumblr but Father's Day and all that jazz, lmao, so I didn't have time to. I'm pretty excited about some of the asks I have right now, but thank you for asking if there's anything I want to share, fandom or otherwise. That's such a cute ask!

Unrelated to fathers or cuteness, though, and maybe this is just me being a typical guy, not wanting help or ignoring problems or whatever, but I finally went to the doctor's today after... who really knows how long of having headaches nearly every day? I hit a point a few months ago where I went, huh, you know I can't remember the last time I didn't have a headache. That's weird. I wonder if it will go away. Then it, uh, didn't. I can ignore shit like that and force myself to keep doing what I'm doing, so I did that. BUT, I'm not completely dumb, lol, so I started writing down whenever I got a headache, and... yeah. I have one way, way more days than not. I don't know what's going on yet, but I did tell my doctor and we started brainstorming some ideas of what could be going on, so that's something

Does anyone ever get so bored it hurts and suddenly everything’s off and you’re uncomfortable?

Like I can’t hold my phone correctly right now and it’s making my hands hurt how uncomfortable I feel. The pillows are suddenly too flat and too soft, I don’t want a large toy in my bed right now as it occupies too much space, but All the other toys are too small. It smells like dead flowers for some reason.

I can’t step anywhere without falling over, yet my room is relatively clean.

I can’t find anything to watch, read or look at without immediately getting bored.

I have nothing to do and I’m too uncomfortable to sleep

My baby daughter got her adorable puffin-print dress absolutely CAKED in mud crawling around the yard and my first thought was "oh no her beautiful dress"

And my second thought was "oh huh it really WOULD be easy to unconsciously steer her away from playing in the dirt. Unlike my son, whose outfits are usually some kind of solid dark easily washed pants plus a shirt that doesn't trail in the dirt like a dress does."
