I have only ever gotten one failing grade on an assignment. It was my final essay in my final semester of college. I’d just gotten out of surgery and submitted it with all the confidence of someone on heavy medication. I still passed the class, it’s fine.

The chickens are here! Yesterday, the chickens arrived and we spent almost the whole day watching them today. I'll show you some photos as soon as they are allowed to go outside because right now they have to get used to their coop. I'm excited!

Otherwise I have one week (and one day) left before the holidays and I'm looking forward to two weeks of full #cottagecore life hahah

Yesterday I had another call with my PhD group. Even though I've already completed mine, the other two are still in the process so the group still exists :)

Algebra🗒️

Literally stressing out because I have to be somewhat capable of doing algebra until wednesday and i still have too many things to cover. With my morning and late at night study sessions I’ve been more productive than doing anything in the afternoon but still- I’m losing most of sunday and almost the entire monday in study time because of the job interview…at least my cars oil is changed now and I can say that I’m somewhat understanding the math I’m doing- or at least I managed to answer my own questions :D

At the beginning of the week I motivated myself to go to lectures by telling myself that if I did it I could have skipped today, but I'll be a good kid and attend today as well. I have a feeling the temperatures will be very hot and I am not looking forward to that, but I have my survival kit with me. The good news is next week I'll only have one day of commuting, because we have an holiday on Monday and on Tuesday there's a conference instead of the normal lecture and I couldn't care less about it. So that's the plan, two more days of lectures and then it's over and I only have to work from home.

On today's to do list:

read first thing in the morning

continue writing notes for chapter 1 of my anthropology book

lunch

commute + lecture

get some more reading done during free time

May 29th, 2025:

Took a few days off from recording my study sessions, but I’m back. Today I’m doing 25/5 Pomodoros, and since I’ve got other things going on, my daily study time has gone down a bit—but I’m staying optimistic. I’ve also been working on some design-related stuff outside of studying, might share some of that here too. Hope you’re all doing well!
