🇮🇷 I support Iran. I want to make that clear. 🇮🇷
Iran's anti-Imperialist creds are unquestionable. The entire basis for the existence of the revolutionary Iranian Islamic Republic is anti-Imperialism. No country supports Palestine and the Palestinian people more than the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The moment the Iranian government no longer supports the fight against Western Imperialism, the justification for its existence vanishes with it, along with the support of the Iranian people it enjoys today.
National Sovereignty is the basis of Socialism. And though Iran is by no means a Socialist country, neither is it a Neoliberal Western Proxy, and Iranians enjoy one of the largest economic safety nets in the Middle East, as well as an economy who's natural resources are dominated by SOEs. Including their National Oil Company...
Iran's oil, of course, was initially Nationalized under Iran's democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammed Mosaddegh in March 1951... and of course two years later he was couped by the United States in a typically American Colonialist move, giving full political power to the Shah who used it to stifle dissent, especially and not coincidentally, Socialist and Communist dissent, responsible for a multitude of slaughters against the Iranian people, who were demanding a more active and independent government.
At least, that was until the Islamic Revolution, beginning in 1978 and culminating in the overthrow of the Shah, imposed on the Iranian people by the United States, in February 1979.
You cannot have Socialism without National Sovereignty. And one way the Iranian government can be thought of, is as a radical movement for National Sovereignty; an anti-Imperialist project to expel the colonizers and Western Capitalists who would see the wealth sucked out of their country by Wall Street.
Please, please please don't fall for more US sponsored color revolutions!
Support the revolutionary Islamic Republic of Iran and its fight against Western Imperialism and US Hegemony! And join our fight to build a Multipolar world and Socialism!

Please put any resources there is for donations to help Iran or to educate others about what is going on in Iran. Please if anyone could leave any sites to anything that could help Iran under the comments.
as a black person hearing about what happened to shervin hajipour and listening to his song baraye and hearing about what’s going on in the world of iran. it’s made me realize and step aside that y’all there is life much more than our own, not saying that we as black people still don’t have to fight our own battles but we are not the only ones fighting battles and people DO have it worse than us. it’s made me realize how much more privileged we are compared to some pocs or maybe most! listen to me. this ain’t about who has it worse and whose going through what it’s about human beings wanting to be free. Iranian people deserve to be free black people deserve to be free freedom to all poc, we are not the only one fighting for our lives and begging to be saved and helped and given an ordinary life to live. unlike Iranians we have the privilege to breathe cleaner air than theirs, have complete homes and roofs over our head, our children not getting brutalized and tortured and forced into psyches, access to food that we are able to just walk over and buy, the privilege to wear our hair out freely without worry of death our children being able to live innocently happily and freely we don’t have to worry nearly as much about our lives as Iranians. it’s made me realize that at least ME, I was thinking— I knew there was more beyond us but it’s like my main focus was our people, and that doesn’t mean I excluded other lives or didn’t wanna help but it was like giving a cold shoulder to the latter because I didn’t feel as though we received love from Iran or really anybody other than our black community I felt there was no poc unity so I became ignorant and blindsided to the other world issues going on in other poc lives hell I even began ignoring American news as well because I couldn’t take it personally the negativity and hate but that doesn’t matter. it doesn’t matter who hates or loves us as long as we are able to give our hand and help those who are fighting this same fight just like us may not be at the same caliber we may not be getting whipped and forced to work and our families taken and getting eaten and sold etc but there are other people who are going through there very own similar experiences that aren’t too far from our own at all. so can we please stand up for Iran, the woman of Iran, the men of Iran, the children, for everyone of Iran. all of them deserves freedom. Free Iran. Please we need to protect our Iranian brothers and sisters especially their children. I send my love and condolences to the family of Mahsa Amini and Nika Shahkarami and every life and family that has passed in protest, may they forever rest peacefully in spirit.

Hamas attacks in retaliation, Israel is made out to be the victim. Israel attacks Sudan, Yemen, and we either don't talk about it or claim it was Hamas. Now Israel fires weapons into Iran and when they fire back, it's considered an aggressive and violent attack against the Israeli people.
Biden is dragging his citizens headlong into a war we should have no part in to support a country who does not care about collateral. He promised debt relief, gender care, pay increases, and we have seen NO positives on any of those fronts all while he desperately pours resources into supplying the murder of innocent Arabs.
You who support this war hate the Arab people, you're all just too much of pussies to admit it. So you hide behind these excuses. "Oh, Israel's just defending itself. Oh, that was someone else". You wish for the death of all the Arabs without any of the social repercussions of actually admitting that, so you claim anyone who wishes for the killing to stop is actually antisemitic and "wants to kill all the Jews".
Palestine will be free and the Israeli government will face punishment for the crimes they have perpetrated.

"Iran is escalating tensions in the Middle East!"
Okay sure, you can make an argument for that, but like, isn't destroying Iran's consulate in Syria also a huge escalation? Israel essentially attacked two countries at once and nobody is telling them "wtf what r u doing stop escalating shit!" But the minute Iran launches an attack....
Let me be clear: Iran's regime is legit awful and they don't deserve any support for their many many repressive policies and violations of human rights. Still, I totally get where they're coming from with this. You do not bomb other countries' diplomatic posts and get away with it. Unless you're Israel I guess. Then it's okay 😒
Also, now with all eyes on Iran, people are distracted from what's happening in Gaza which may very well be an intentional side effect on Israel's part. But don't forget: PEOPLE ARE STILL BEING KILLED AND STARVED IN THE GAZA STRIP.
Keep your eyes on Gaza

Of all the countries in the world, the Iranian people and the Iranian regime might be the most divergent. You have the barbarous, murderous, genocidal regime on the one hand, and you have the Iranian people cheering on Israel on the other hand.
This is the flag of the Iranian people.
Tumblr media
The flag of the Islamic regime is not.

Some tankie bs detection
I saw this post on my dash. The user is blocked now. But just to educate people so that they won't fall for idiotic claims online, here are a couple of facts:
1. The Islamic Republic is not anti imperialist, they're anti USA. The regime is very much in love with Russian imperialism. At this point, Iran is an unofficial russian colony. And by the support of their imperialist father figure they have their small version of imperialism in middle east. Ask Iraq and Lebanon.
2. There's no "safety" when it comes to economy in Iran. The "national sovereignty" is called "those fvckin thieves in power" here. Iran's regime is one of the most corrupt regimes by international index. Rent, nepotism, embezzlement and money laundering are serious issues in Iran. Done only and only by the governors and people in power. Social class is not only a thing, there's a raging gap between rich people and those in poverty. And the gap is getting bigger and bigger by month. If you have connections in government or you are in the government, you'll get richer and richer. Other wise, soon enough you'll be in poverty too. Many families, including mine, who used to be considered middle class, have incomes lower than the poverty threshold now.
About 15% of Iran's economic failure including inflation is on the sanctions. The rest is on the corruption within the regime.
Iran's banking system is also a corrupted organ. The so called Islamic banking is anything but Islamic. The loan interest rate is one of the highest worldwide, 23%, so that often you have to pay back more than twice the money you've received. It's called Riba in Islam and it's Haram. According to the regime themselves, the banking system in European countries, even in the USA, is more Islamic than us. The fact that some of the biggest embezzlement in Iran has been done by bank managers should give you a picture of how they're drinking our blood.
None of this is on USA imperialism. It's all the Islamic Republic.
3. The Islamic Republic doesn't support Palestinians. The regime is extremely racist and anti Arab. I dare you talk about this with an actual Arab. IR don't give two shites about Palestinians lives. The regime is antisemitic. That's what they are. Palestine is just an excuse to attack Israel. In the past 20+ years of my life, living in Iran and dealing with these posers, not once we've been educated about Palestine and Palestinians lives. Everything I know, I've learned from online resources and documentaries make by Palestinians. The regime doesn't talk about Palestinians when they pose as supporters. I'm pretty sure they don't know or care to know anything noteworthy about Palestine, considering my knowledge of the human rights violations there is always more than basiji people of my country, and I don't even know that much. All the regime talks about is how Israel should be eliminated. IR supports a terrorist organization called Hamas, not Palestinians.
4. Let's forget about everything I said so far. I wonder if tankies like the op has any ounce of humanity in them! The regime has been oppressing women, violating every type of human rights and murdering lgbtq people and other-thinkers for the last 40 years. The spectacular environmental disaster in Iran is the direct result of regime's policies and neglect. This is a case of human rights violation since it's ruining people's lives, especially ethnic minorities, like Arab farmers in south.
No religious minority is safe in Iran, be it atheist, Baha'i, Jew, christian, or Sunni Muslim. They commit crime against children, through labor and through war. IRGC have little regards for human lives in general but it descent into no regards at all for ethnic minorities.
They have MASS EXECUTED 30,000 leftists (members of Marxist Communist parties and their supporters) within the first decade of their autocratic rule. It's unbelievably funny to me when foreign leftists support a regime that has executed many of their fellow thinkers and still arrest and torture any left activist in Iran.
To say the reason the 1979 revolution happened was to get rid of western influence and to establish a democratic free independent government is true. But the Islamic Republic is not that result. Don't be fooled.

Iran is bombing Israel apparently, FAFO moment truly.
Both Biden and Trump are vowing to defend Israel with harsh military force against Iran.
If they follow through with it and the US moves against Iran, this will actually become a war.
Do not stop pressuring politicians to support Palestine. Do not stop advocating for Palestine. Do not stop protesting Israel. Do not stop protesting genocide.
From the river to the sea.
